  1. through to chapter 5 verse 20. Two amazing, extraordinary things happen in these events.

  2. Thanks Jeff.

  3. That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, let us go over to the other side.

  4. Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat.

  5. There were also other boats with him. A furious school came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped.

  6. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, teacher, don't you care if you drown?

  7. He got up, rebuked the wind, and said to the waves, quiet, be still. And then the wind died down, and it was completely calm.

  8. He said to his disciples, why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?

  9. They were terrified, and asked each other, who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him.

  10. They went across the lake to the region of the Gerasenes.

  11. When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an evil spirit came from the tombs to meet him.

  12. This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain.

  13. For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons off his feet.

  14. No one was strong enough to subdue him. Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones.

  15. When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him.

  16. He shouted at the top of his voice,

  17. What do you want with me, Jesus, son of the most high God?

  18. Swear to God that you won't torture me.

  19. For Jesus had said to him,

  20. Come out of this man, you evil spirit.

  21. And then Jesus asked him,

  22. What is your name?

  23. My name is Legion, he replied,

  24. for we are many.

  25. And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area.

  26. A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside.

  27. The demons begged Jesus,

  28. Send us among the pigs, allow us to go into them.

  29. He gave them permission, and the evil spirits came out and went into the pigs.

  30. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.

  31. Those tending the pigs ran off and reported this in the town and the countryside,

  32. and the people went out to see what had happened.

  33. When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons sitting there,

  34. dressed and in his right mind, and they were afraid.

  35. Those who had seen it told the people what had happened to the demon-possessed man,

  36. and told about the pigs as well.

  37. Then the people began to plead with Jesus to leave their region.

  38. As Jesus was getting into the boat,

  39. the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him.

  40. Jesus did not let him, but said,

  41. Go home to your family.

  42. And tell them how much the Lord has done for you,

  43. and how he has had mercy on you.

  44. So the man went away, and began to tell in the Decapolis,

  45. how much Jesus had done for him.

  46. And all the people were amazed.

  47. Thanks very much, Jez.

  48. Well, please keep your Bibles open.

  49. And there's sheets there if anybody likes to take notes.

  50. There's a pen.

  51. Kirstie's there, handing them out at the front.

  52. Just put your hand up if you'd like one.

  53. Keep your Bibles open at Mark.

    Mark 4 chapter mention

  54. Chapter 4, these two amazing stories.

  55. And we're going to look at them together.

  56. One of the reasons why we're looking at Mark's Gospel together

  57. is to prepare us as, in the new year in January,

  58. we're going to be looking at Christianity Explored.

  59. It's a study to help people understand who Jesus is.

  60. So we'll just be looking at that in the new year.

  61. So let's pray and ask for God's help as we look at this together.

  62. Our Father, we thank you for your word for the Bible.

  63. We thank you for these amazing events that are recorded for us,

  64. to teach us and to show us who Jesus is.

  65. We pray that we will see clearly who he is and what he has come to do.

  66. That we would welcome him and accept him.

  67. And we ask, above all, that you would change us

  68. by your power

  69. to be more like himself,

  70. more like the Lord Jesus.

  71. We pray for your spirit to be at work amongst us all.

  72. In Jesus' name.

  73. Amen.

  74. Well, Mark begins his Gospel, if you remember,

  75. like this in chapter 1, verse 1.

  76. The beginning of the Gospel about Jesus Christ,

  77. the Son of God.

  78. It's what we call Jesus Christ.

  79. So as we read through the book of God,

  80. it's a little bit like a sub-temporary,

  81. or a biologist,

  82. who Jesus is,

  83. and what things are going to be.

  84. He sees that we've come across.

  85. As Jesus meets people,

  86. as he begins to talk to people,

  87. and he interacts with people,

  88. he sees another piece of the picture,

  89. which gives us a glimpse into the heart,

  90. and the blood of Jesus.

  91. And the picture that we've been doing so far

  92. is that Jesus is God's face,

  93. which is in three power and power to be.

  94. He is coming to the world

  95. and he comes to the border of the cross,

  96. and he comes to the world,

  97. and through his words,

  98. in his spoken voice,

  99. he is coming to the storm in me

  100. what has been broken.

  101. And in the next few incredible things,

  102. he comes to the world.

  103. It's all subject to the creation.

  104. And he sees,

  105. he was expected by the same people of the world,

  106. and he tells us,

  107. he is the spirit.

  108. He is the spirit,

  109. and he tells us what Jesus does.

  110. And of course,

  111. the whole purpose of this

  112. is not just to give you information

  113. for money,

  114. but it can help us to engage

  115. in the real universe

  116. that we have come to,

  117. confront us as we are,

  118. to our human beings.

  119. So let's look at the same

  120. in the first place.

  121. First,

  122. we see,

  123. we see something

  124. of the same one.

  125. I don't know if we've ever seen

  126. in the school.

  127. It's a very unique,

  128. terrified experience.

  129. We've all our hundred and many,

  130. not going to be the same.

  131. But we all are hundred and many,

  132. and we have probably

  133. from the right place,

  134. from the right place,

  135. in Central America,

  136. to a mutual island of the trust.

  137. And we all are thankful

  138. to the next few hours,

  139. because there's eight hours,

  140. which is four million,

  141. and we have to meet.

  142. Because we get it,

  143. like we've seen

  144. the breakfast store,

  145. and we've seen

  146. the civil war show,

  147. we explain our lives

  148. to the time,

  149. and we are hanging on

  150. to the real life

  151. under the territory.

  152. We saw this

  153. in the way to God,

  154. in the midst of it.

  155. the real life

  156. and the things

  157. of the land

  158. of the fear,

  159. of noogi,

  160. of no Flint

  161. and the tenths,

  162. of an instant.

  163. And we have seen

  164. the future

  165. before the future

  166. and in life

  167. and the little thing

  168. in life

  169. that we are

  170. watching that.

  171. I've seen the earthly

  172. When the לא commencer,

  173. Thank you.

  174. Thank you.

  175. Thank you.

  176. Thank you.

  177. Thank you.

  178. Thank you.

  179. Thank you.

  180. Thank you.

  181. Thank you.

  182. Thank you.

  183. Thank you.

  184. Thank you.

  185. Thank you.

  186. Thank you.

  187. Thank you.

  188. Thank you.

  189. Thank you.

  190. Thank you.

  191. Thank you.

  192. Thank you.

  193. Thank you.

  194. Thank you.

  195. Thank you.

  196. Thank you.

  197. Thank you.

  198. Thank you.

  199. Why are you so afraid?

  200. Do you still have your faith?

  201. Because the disciples have really found the reality that God is in the boat.

  202. Because if we know the true identity of Jesus,

  203. then here is the spell from all of us.

  204. If Jesus is in control of the universe,

  205. if he is with it all into his history,

  206. if he controls the sun,

  207. if he controls the moon,

  208. the light, the light, the light,

  209. and the light,

  210. if he is here,

  211. if he controls every detail that happens in our universe,

  212. why do we hear?

  213. Why are we afraid?

  214. Why are we afraid?

  215. Why are we afraid?

  216. What happens when we face our face?

  217. We are afraid.

  218. We worry, don't we?

  219. When we don't have faith in this awesome God,

  220. we worry.

  221. We get stressed,

  222. and we get anxious.

  223. We get overwhelmed.

  224. We get concerned about,

  225. am I going to have a job?

  226. Am I not going to have a job?

  227. What about my children?

  228. Am I going to get sick?

  229. Am I going to get well?

  230. What's going to happen in two weeks' time?

  231. What's going to happen in three years' time?

  232. Am I going to have a tension?

  233. Am I worried, worried, worried?

  234. And we panic,

  235. and we make ourselves sick,

  236. and we make ourselves unwell.

  237. That's what worry does.

  238. We have no faith,

  239. so we worry.

  240. We get anxious.

  241. Maybe the other response is this.

  242. We control.

  243. We try and change our circumstances.

  244. We try to control situations.

  245. We begin to manipulate people.

  246. We try to get them to do things

  247. the way we want them to do it.

  248. We try to change people

  249. to bring some kind of order

  250. into our lives.

  251. And we're getting frustrated

  252. and annoyed and angry.

  253. We're getting frustrated.

  254. We're getting frustrated.

  255. We're getting frustrated.

  256. You see, if you are a warrior,

  257. if we are controllers,

  258. perhaps it's because

  259. we're living in fear

  260. instead of living in faith

  261. in Jesus, who is God,

  262. who controls the universe

  263. and controls your life.

  264. And those who do have faith in Jesus

  265. are not immune to sickness

  266. or tragedy or disaster.

  267. The storms will come,

  268. and he promised us

  269. they will come.

  270. We're not immune to suffering.

  271. But what we do know

  272. from this story

  273. is that Jesus is present with us

  274. in every storm of life

  275. that we go through.

  276. And he is the God

  277. who's in control of the universe.

  278. You might otherwise understand why,

  279. but he is there

  280. and he's in control.

  281. So why?

  282. We still have no fear.

  283. Why do we get so afraid?

  284. Suffer the God

  285. who is in control

  286. of the universe.

  287. That's scene one.

  288. Scene two.

  289. What Jesus does.

  290. We leave one storm

  291. and we enter into another storm.

  292. The violence that was present

  293. out on the lake

  294. is now present

  295. inside a man.

  296. Look at verse two.

  297. When Jesus got out of the boat,

  298. a man with an evil spirit

  299. came from the tomb

  300. to meet him.

  301. This man lived in the tomb.

  302. This was at a graveyard

  303. out on the hill

  304. and no one could bind him anymore,

  305. not even with a chain.

  306. For he had often been changed

  307. hands and foot,

  308. but he tore the chains apart

  309. and he broke irons on his feet.

  310. No one was strong enough

  311. to subdue him.

  312. The word there to subdue

  313. is one that describes

  314. trying to tame

  315. a wild animal.

  316. That's what he was like,

  317. a madman,

  318. out of control

  319. and nobody could tame him.

  320. Not only is he a problem

  321. to the local community

  322. and to his family,

  323. he's actually a danger

  324. to himself.

  325. Look at first time.

  326. Night and day

  327. among the tombs

  328. and in the hills

  329. he would cry out

  330. and get stones

  331. and cut himself

  332. with the stones.

  333. In his anguish

  334. he begins to self-harm.

  335. It's a way of communicating

  336. emotional distress.

  337. I just read up a little bit

  338. about self-harm

  339. and this is what it says.

  340. It's a way of communicating.

  341. It says,

  342. the body becomes

  343. like a public notice board

  344. where the scars

  345. and the wounds

  346. on the body

  347. reflect the pain

  348. or the distress

  349. the person is feeling

  350. that they can't

  351. verbally communicate.

  352. And this is what

  353. this man is doing.

  354. His life is a living hell

  355. and the only comfort

  356. that he's got

  357. are these roaming pigs.

  358. He's lonely

  359. and he's tortured

  360. and he's been shut out

  361. of society.

  362. His home is a graveyard.

  363. That's where he lives.

  364. Left to die

  365. a miserable death.

  366. It's a desperate picture

  367. of mankind

  368. at his worst.

  369. Broken and ruined

  370. with chaos

  371. and disorder

  372. ruling his life.

  373. And yet he is powerful.

  374. He's powerful

  375. to break chains

  376. and ropes

  377. that people try

  378. to bind him with.

  379. but he's powerless

  380. to change

  381. his own life.

  382. And no matter

  383. what people

  384. try to do

  385. they can do

  386. nothing for him.

  387. It's not hard

  388. for us to imagine

  389. people's lives

  390. in such a mess.

  391. Demon possession

  392. is not so common

  393. in our culture.

  394. It's common

  395. in many cultures.

  396. but within our culture

  397. people still live

  398. with terrible darkness

  399. and disorder

  400. in their life.

  401. Lives are broken

  402. and shattered

  403. by the choices

  404. that they have made

  405. and because of the actions

  406. done to other people.

  407. And as a result of it

  408. addictive patterns form

  409. and abusive relationships

  410. begin

  411. and lonely

  412. and tortured

  413. people begin

  414. to respond

  415. with things like

  416. self-harm

  417. or worse

  418. suicide

  419. and it reflects

  420. the deep pain

  421. and the distress

  422. that people are in

  423. and you'll find

  424. stories like this

  425. all over Cork

  426. and all over Ireland.

  427. Ireland has one

  428. of the highest rates

  429. of suicide

  430. in Europe

  431. amongst young people.

  432. And self-harm

  433. is becoming

  434. more and more

  435. regular

  436. with young people

  437. who are in distress

  438. and don't know

  439. how to say

  440. how they're feeling

  441. and what they're thinking

  442. in their lives.

  443. People's lives

  444. are in darkness

  445. and disorder.

  446. And like the disciples

  447. in the storm

  448. and this man

  449. with an inner storm

  450. inside his life

  451. were powerless

  452. powerless

  453. to change

  454. what's going on.

  455. That is

  456. until

  457. he meets

  458. Jesus.

  459. Verse 6

  460. When he saw

  461. Jesus from a distance

  462. he ran

  463. and he fell

  464. on his knees

  465. in front of him

  466. and he shouted

  467. at the top

  468. of his voice

  469. what do you want

  470. with me Jesus

  471. son of the

  472. most high God?

  473. ironically

  474. the disciples

  475. who spent

  476. all their time

  477. with Jesus

  478. and seen

  479. him cast out

  480. many demons

  481. seen him

  482. healing the sick

  483. they're still

  484. asking the question

  485. who is this?

  486. But Jesus

  487. comes to this man

  488. and with the

  489. demons in him

  490. they recognise

  491. who he is

  492. and he cries

  493. out

  494. Jesus

  495. son of the

  496. most high

  497. God

  498. this is

  499. the supreme

  500. power

  501. and authority

  502. the one who

  503. controls the

  504. entire universe

  505. and he comes

  506. and he falls

  507. down on his

  508. knees before

  509. Jesus

  510. in complete

  511. submission

  512. and he cries

  513. out in mercy

  514. to him

  515. look at the

  516. rest of verse 7

  517. swear to God

  518. or by God

  519. because you are

  520. God

  521. don't torture

  522. me

  523. don't ruin

  524. me

  525. in Jesus

  526. he knows

  527. that he

  528. holds this

  529. power

  530. power to

  531. break his

  532. life

  533. or power

  534. to perhaps

  535. change

  536. his life

  537. and as the

  538. story unfolds

  539. we get to

  540. see what

  541. Jesus does

  542. Jesus

  543. is God

  544. who

  545. transforms

  546. broken

  547. lives

  548. the same

  549. power that

  550. Jesus

  551. shows over

  552. nature

  553. he now

  554. shows over

  555. an individual's

  556. life

  557. because he's

  558. come to

  559. transform people

  560. where we are

  561. powerless and

  562. helpless

  563. the good news

  564. of Jesus

  565. breaks through

  566. and we have

  567. the most

  568. extraordinary

  569. scene

  570. here as

  571. Jesus commands

  572. the demons

  573. out of the

  574. man

  575. look at

  576. verse 11

  577. a large

  578. herd of

  579. pigs were

  580. feeding on

  581. the nearby

  582. hillside

  583. and the

  584. demons

  585. begged

  586. Jesus

  587. send us

  588. among the

  589. pigs

  590. let us

  591. go into

  592. them

  593. he gives

  594. them

  595. permission

  596. and the

  597. evil spirits

  598. came out

  599. and went

  600. into the

  601. pigs

  602. the herd

  603. about

  604. 2000 in

  605. number

  606. rushed down

  607. the steep

  608. bank

  609. and into

  610. the lake

  611. and were

  612. drowned

  613. and

  614. now most

  615. of us

  616. get

  617. troubled

  618. with this

  619. section

  620. of the

  621. story

  622. don't

  623. we

  624. the poor

  625. pigs

  626. the animal

  627. rights

  628. activists

  629. are up

  630. in arms

  631. those cute

  632. little pink

  633. animals

  634. with their

  635. curly tails

  636. and floppy

  637. ears

  638. Jesus has

  639. just killed

  640. these poor

  641. little pigs

  642. the local

  643. economist is

  644. joining in

  645. as well

  646. because each

  647. of those

  648. pigs

  649. represented a

  650. few months

  651. wages

  652. and now

  653. they've all

  654. gone like

  655. lemmings over

  656. the edge

  657. of the

  658. cliff

  659. clearly

  660. pigs

  661. don't

  662. what's

  663. going on

  664. well if

  665. we try to

  666. figure out

  667. what happened

  668. to the poor

  669. pigs

  670. it's to

  671. completely

  672. lose the

  673. focus of

  674. the story

  675. because to

  676. Jesus

  677. the rescue

  678. and restoration

  679. of one

  680. single

  681. person

  682. is far

  683. more valuable

  684. than the

  685. lost

  686. of huge

  687. wealth

  688. the story

  689. is not

  690. interested

  691. in the

  692. pigs

  693. the story

  694. is about

  695. Jesus

  696. who is

  697. interested

  698. in people

  699. in his

  700. mercy

  701. and in his

  702. grace

  703. Jesus has

  704. gone out

  705. of his

  706. way

  707. to go

  708. where

  709. everybody

  710. else

  711. runs away

  712. from

  713. this man

  714. is living

  715. he's a

  716. gentile

  717. he's

  718. unclean

  719. nobody

  720. wants to

  721. be near

  722. him

  723. he's

  724. living in

  725. an

  726. unclean

  727. area

  728. the

  729. graveyard

  730. he's

  731. with

  732. unclean

  733. animals

  734. the pigs

  735. everybody

  736. runs

  737. away

  738. from

  739. him

  740. he's

  741. mad

  742. he's

  743. crazy

  744. but

  745. Jesus

  746. in his

  747. mercy

  748. and his

  749. grace

  750. goes out

  751. of his

  752. way

  753. deliberately

  754. to meet

  755. this

  756. man

  757. he has

  758. come to

  759. redeem

  760. us

  761. and to

  762. welcome

  763. us back

  764. into his

  765. family

  766. and to

  767. restore

  768. us

  769. verse

  770. 14

  771. stars

  772. in

  773. those

  774. tending

  775. ones

  776. those

  777. tending

  778. the pigs

  779. ran off and

  780. reported

  781. this to

  782. the town

  783. and the

  784. countryside

  785. and the

  786. people went

  787. out to

  788. see what

  789. had

  790. happened

  791. and when

  792. they came

  793. to

  794. Jesus

  795. they saw

  796. the man

  797. who had

  798. been

  799. possessed

  800. by the

  801. legion

  802. of demons

  803. sitting

  804. there

  805. dressed

  806. and in

  807. his

  808. right

  809. mind

  810. for me this is one of the most beautiful pictures

  811. of the whole of Mark's gospel

  812. picture that man in verses 2 and 3

  813. broken

  814. cutting himself with stones

  815. and now restored

  816. sitting with Jesus

  817. and in his right mind

  818. once naked going mad

  819. now closed

  820. because being clothed by another

  821. was a sign of adoption

  822. and Jesus is doing that for this man

  823. he's making him clean

  824. he's adopting him

  825. he's welcoming into Jesus' family

  826. because he's come to transform

  827. broken lives and fix them up

  828. we've got to ask ourselves the question

  829. do we accept

  830. or do we reject this Jesus?

  831. knowing what Jesus does in people's lives

  832. demands a response

  833. from each one of us

  834. verse 15

  835. let's read that again

  836. when they came to Jesus

  837. they saw this man who had been possessed

  838. by the legion of demons

  839. sitting there

  840. dressed

  841. and in his right mind

  842. and they were afraid

  843. they're not unlike the disciples

  844. it seems they're more afraid of Jesus

  845. now than they were afraid of the demon possessed man

  846. why are they afraid of Jesus?

  847. how do they deal with this Jesus?

  848. well look at verse 17

  849. then the people began to plead with Jesus

  850. to leave the region

  851. go away Jesus

  852. we don't want you here

  853. we would think that they would want him to stay

  854. and to transform other people

  855. and to bring his miracles into the lives of other people

  856. but the reality is

  857. they're more interested in property than people

  858. they don't know what Jesus is going to do

  859. or how he's going to upset their lives

  860. their own material wealth

  861. is of more value

  862. than the rescue and restoration

  863. of their own lives

  864. and we need to ask

  865. are we people who accept this Jesus

  866. are we with him

  867. in the kind of ministry that he's doing

  868. or do I just put my hand out to him

  869. and say

  870. no thanks

  871. stay away

  872. and the sign of those who have accepted Jesus

  873. are people who are going to be willing

  874. to release their finances

  875. and all of their resources

  876. to see the gospel spread

  877. to go and see it transform lives

  878. despite the impact it's going to have on your own life

  879. unlike the men here

  880. they didn't want Jesus

  881. because it was going to cost them too much

  882. if we reject Jesus

  883. we will be tight-fisted

  884. we will be caring more for our own livelihood today

  885. than the eternal destiny of others

  886. these two scenes

  887. the raging storm

  888. a violent graveyard

  889. they give us a picture

  890. a wonderful picture

  891. of who Jesus is

  892. and what Jesus does

  893. but you know what

  894. they also point forward

  895. to the greatest scene

  896. the big picture

  897. of Mark's gospel

  898. where it will all end

  899. Jesus' death

  900. on the cross

  901. both of these scenes

  902. are a little picture

  903. of what the cross

  904. talks about

  905. because at the cross

  906. Jesus would enter into

  907. the ultimate storm

  908. he would go into the storm

  909. but this time

  910. he would go alone

  911. and on our behalf

  912. he was going to face

  913. the storm

  914. of God's wrath

  915. and God's judgment

  916. for our sin

  917. and he would satisfy

  918. that wrath

  919. on our behalf

  920. and he would bring

  921. for all those

  922. who would trust him

  923. a calmness

  924. into our lives

  925. he would still

  926. that storm

  927. in our lives

  928. and he would take away

  929. the fear of death

  930. so that we can live

  931. our life

  932. calm

  933. and at peace

  934. because Jesus

  935. took on the storm

  936. that we could never

  937. take on

  938. but not only that

  939. Jesus would enter

  940. a more violent grave

  941. than the graveyard

  942. we read about

  943. in chapter 5

  944. and he would go

  945. to that grave

  946. alone

  947. and he would experience

  948. not only death

  949. but he would experience

  950. hell itself

  951. so that we don't

  952. have to

  953. he would experience

  954. evil

  955. in its worst sense

  956. but three days later

  957. he would rise

  958. from the grave

  959. he would defeat death

  960. he would defeat

  961. the powers of evil

  962. and for all those

  963. who would accept him

  964. he would close

  965. with his righteousness

  966. and he would adopt

  967. and bring us

  968. into his family

  969. the power

  970. and the grace

  971. of Jesus

  972. is so extraordinary

  973. that if we would

  974. just come to him

  975. helpless

  976. and powerless

  977. and that's what

  978. we get with

  979. every person

  980. that Jesus meets

  981. who he heals

  982. and restores

  983. they all come

  984. saying

  985. helpless

  986. powerless

  987. and he will change

  988. and he will forgive

  989. and he will renew

  990. we might come to him

  991. like the rude

  992. disciples in the boat

  993. who shout

  994. who shout at Jesus

  995. don't you care

  996. if we drown

  997. but Jesus responds

  998. in grace

  999. and mercy

  1000. or we might

  1001. come like the man

  1002. with the evil spirit

1003. who fell on his knees

  1004. and in submission

  1005. cries out

  1006. don't harm me

  1007. in these stories

  1008. we meet a Jesus

  1009. who goes out

  1010. of his way

  1011. and he has gone

  1012. out of his way

  1013. from heaven

  1014. to earth

  1015. to meet us

  1016. to meet this world

  1017. to speak his word

  1018. of salvation

  1019. into our lives

1020. and so we are called

  1021. as his people

1022. to go out of our way

  1023. to go and show

  1024. people who Jesus

  1025. is

  1026. to go and show

  1027. people what Jesus

  1028. does

  1029. to show the amazing

  1030. transformation

  1031. he can bring

  1032. our hope

  1033. is in Christ

  1034. and in him

  1035. alone

  1036. let's pray

  1037. when they came

  1038. to Jesus

  1039. they saw the man

  1040. who had been possessed

  1041. by the legion

  1042. of demons

  1043. sitting there

  1044. dressed

  1045. and in his

  1046. right mind

  1047. our father

  1048. we long

  1049. that by your power

  1050. you would reach

  1051. into the lives

  1052. of those

  1053. who are broken

  1054. who do not yet

  1055. know you

  1056. and we pray

  1057. that you would

  1058. transform them

  1059. that people

  1060. would come

  1061. before you

  1062. and submit

  1063. to you

  1064. and cry out

  1065. helpless

  1066. and powerless

  1067. wanting you

  1068. to change them

  1069. please do your work

  1070. in their lives

  1071. and in our lives

  1072. in Jesus name

  1073. Amen

  1074. what you

  1075. like

  1076. or

  1077. to say

  1078. like

  1079. holding me

  1080. perhaps

  1081. the

  1082. that

  1083. procedures
