  1. your exams. If you're finishing college, are you confident that you're going to get a job?

  2. Are you sure? What about if you're single? How confident are you of finding the right

  3. person to get married to? How confident are you of staying healthy and living a long life?

  4. Are you sure you will be okay? What about this question? How confident are you of eternal

  5. life? Are you sure you have eternal life? You see, this is something wonderful because

  6. God has promised us this life. Have a look at verse 11. It's just a couple of verses before

  7. the reading. This is what it says, and this is the testimony. God has given us eternal life.

  8. And look where that life is to be found. Eternal life, this life is in his Son. We don't find life

  9. in ourselves or in other things or in other people. We find life in the person of Jesus.

  10. That doesn't mean to say that we kind of get a little model or a little life, a little model

  11. or a statue of Jesus and put him in our pocket and go, oh, I have Jesus. No, it means to trust

  12. him with your life, to place all your confidence in him. So look at verse 12. He who has the Son

  13. has life. He who does not have the Son of God does not have life. So he has promised us life

  14. and that life is in his Son Jesus. But here's another question. What happens when we sin and turn away

  15. from Jesus? When I sin, do I still have eternal life? When I mess up and fail, will God still accept me?

  16. Now, I know that I've chosen to sin this week. In fact, there are some things that I have said

  17. and done that I am far too embarrassed and ashamed to tell anybody here in this room.

  18. I have done things that are very wrong this week. And I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

  19. So can we still be confident of eternal life, even when we mess up and fail and go off the rails?

  20. Well, look what the writer tells us in verse 13. He says this,

  21. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know,

  22. so that you have confidence that you have eternal life. Isn't that wonderful? We can have absolute

  23. confidence and total assurance that we have eternal life. Now, look who that confidence is for. Look at

  24. verse 13 again. He writes these things to who? To you who believe in the name of the Son of God.

  25. The confidence we have is not based on who I am or how good I am or my ability or my performance.

  26. My confidence is based on who Jesus is. You see, if our confidence is in Jesus,

  27. then that means whatever my sin, whatever my failures, whatever my struggles in life,

  28. I can be confident, 100% assured that I have eternal life.

  29. Now, I think that's incredible. Absolutely sure. No doubts that I have confidence of eternal life.

  30. So let's look at the confidence that we have if our trust is in Jesus. Four things we're going to notice.

  31. If our trust is in Jesus, we have four confidences. Don't know if that's a word, is it? We'll make it up. It is now. That's right.

  32. So, four confidences that we have if we trust in Jesus.

  33. First, we have confidence that God hears us. Look at verse 14.

  34. This is the confidence we have in approaching God, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

  35. What an amazing privilege that we can approach God.

  36. We actually have access to God.

  37. We've been accepted by him.

  38. The access to God is not because of us, but because of his love for us.

  39. Let's have a flick back to chapter 3, verse 1.

  40. Just turn the page, perhaps, to chapter 3, verse 1.

  41. Here it reminds us why we have access to God.

  42. Some great verses.

  43. Chapter 3, verse 1.

  44. How great is the love the Father, that is, the Father God,

  45. has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God.

  46. And that is what we are.

  47. We have become children of God because of God's love,

  48. and therefore we have access to God.

  49. We are accepted by God.

  50. Now, baby Emma, who we had introduced to us just a moment ago,

  51. has a unique relationship with Connor and Sarah.

  52. Because she is their child, she can call out to her parents,

  53. knowing that they will listen and they will answer,

  54. whatever the time of day or night.

  55. Another child may be crying in the corner,

  56. but they don't necessarily respond.

  57. Emma has that unique privilege,

  58. and she can continue to call out to her parents

  59. because she is their child.

  60. Now, because of God's love to us,

  61. because God has removed the barrier of sin,

  62. he has made us children of God

  63. so that we too have a unique relationship with him.

  64. And we can talk to our Father in heaven

  65. anytime, anywhere, about anything.

  66. We have been accepted by him through our faith.

  67. Have a look at verse 15.

  68. And if we know that he hears us,

  69. whatever we ask,

  70. we know we have what we asked of him.

  71. Do you see what it says there?

  72. We can ask God for anything,

  73. and we have confidence that he will give it to us.

  74. Ask him for anything,

  75. and we have confidence that he will give it to us.

  76. If, underline,

  77. if it's according to his will.

  78. Look at the end of verse 14 again.

  79. We need to read it carefully.

  80. That it says,

  81. if we ask anything according to his will,

  82. he hears us.

  83. Our children ask us for all kinds of things.

  84. New phones, new clothes.

  85. Can I stay up late?

  86. They even have the cheek of asking us for lunch and dinner.

  87. Now, we don't give them everything they ask for.

  88. We do feed them, by the way,

  89. just in case you're not sure.

  90. But we only give to them what we think is best and right.

  91. What's going to benefit their life.

  92. The same as Emma.

  93. She asks her mum and dad,

  94. they will only give to her

  95. what is going to be good for her life.

  96. In the same way,

  97. God doesn't give us everything we ask for,

  98. but only what is according to his will.

  99. In other words,

  100. what is best and right for the children of God.

  101. He is a generous father

  102. who gives good gifts to his children

  103. so that we can live in a good relationship

  104. and right relationship with him.

  105. So first, if our trust is in Jesus,

  106. we have confidence that God hears us.

  107. Here's the second one.

  108. If our trust is in Jesus,

  109. we have confidence that God forgives us.

  110. Look at verse 16.

  111. Here we are given an example

  112. of what to ask God for when we should pray.

  113. It's a hard one.

  114. What should I pray for?

  115. Well, he goes on to tell us in verse 16.

  116. If anyone sees his brother or sister

  117. commit a sin that does not lead to death,

  118. he should pray

  119. and God will give him life.

  120. So, through prayer,

  121. we should ask God for forgiveness.

  122. But, not everyone can experience forgiveness.

  123. Read on in verse 16.

  124. I refer to those whose sin

  125. does not lead to death.

  126. There is a sin that leads to death.

  127. I am not saying that he should pray about that.

  128. Are you confused there with that statement?

  129. Because I was for a long time

  130. as I was reading it.

  131. What's all this about this

  132. leads to death

  133. and something that does not lead to death?

  134. Well, I think there's two things here.

  135. There's the prayer of the believer.

  136. First, we have the sin

  137. that does not lead to death.

  138. Verse 16.

  139. Again, let's read it.

  140. If anyone sees his brother commit a sin

  141. that does not lead to death,

  142. he should pray

  143. and God will give him life.

  144. So, there's a promise there

  145. that for the believer,

  146. the person who trusts in Jesus,

  147. when we pray in repentance

  148. with each other

  149. and for each other,

  150. he will forgive us.

  151. We are assured

  152. of eternal life.

  153. We are assured of forgiveness.

  154. Keep your finger there

  155. and just flick back

  156. to chapter 1 of 1 John.

  157. Look at this wonderful promise

  158. that we have

  159. in chapter 1, verse 9.

  160. Maybe you're thinking,

  161. maybe there are sins

  162. that God cannot forgive

  163. or that God will not forgive.

  164. Well, look at this

  165. in chapter 1, verse 9.

  166. If we confess our sins,

  167. he is faithful and just

  168. and will forgive us

  169. and purify us

  170. from all unrighteousness.

  171. And the reason he will forgive us,

  172. if we look at chapter 2, verse 2,

  173. a couple of lines down,

  174. he, that's Jesus,

  175. is the atoning sacrifice

  176. for our sins,

  177. not only for ours,

  178. but also for the sins

  179. of the whole world.

  180. Jesus died on the cross

  181. taking the blame

  182. for all the things

  183. that we have done wrong

  184. so that we can be forgiven.

  185. So, let's put this

  186. into practice.

  187. If I commit a sin,

  188. if you see me

  189. drunk one night,

  190. or if you hear me

  191. speaking unkindly

  192. to someone,

  193. rather than look down

  194. on me and go,

  195. isn't that terrible,

  196. and start gossiping,

  197. you should get alongside me

  198. as it says,

  199. if you see your brother

  200. commit a sin,

  201. you should pray for him.

  202. Pray with him

  203. that we would receive

  204. God's forgiveness.

  205. So, we have confidence

  206. that God forgives us.

  207. We can pray

  208. and he will forgive.

  209. But that was just

  210. one side of the prayer.

  211. Have a look back

  212. at 1 John chapter 5,

    1 John 5:16

  213. verse 16.

  214. So, we've looked at the sin

  215. that does not lead to death,

  216. whereby we receive forgiveness,

  217. assurance of life,

  218. but then we have the sin

  219. that does lead to death.

  220. Do you see it there

  221. at the end of verse 16?

  222. He said,

  223. there is a sin

  224. that leads to death.

  225. I am not saying

  226. that you should pray about that.

  227. You see,

  228. for the person

  229. who does not believe,

  230. there is no promise

  231. of forgiveness

  232. because they have rejected

  233. the very one

  234. who makes forgiveness possible.

  235. If Jesus is the person

  236. who is the one

  237. who deals with our sin,

  238. but if I reject him

  239. and turn against him

  240. and say,

  241. I want nothing to do

  242. with Jesus,

  243. then how could I possibly

  244. be forgiven?

  245. If I reject Jesus,

  246. I cannot be forgiven.

  247. All we face

  248. is death.

  249. That's what it means,

  250. the sin that leads to death.

  251. To refuse Jesus

  252. means an eternal separation

  253. from God.

  254. It is the fearful reality

  255. of hell itself.

  256. There is no assurance

  257. of life

  258. for those

  259. who turn against Jesus.

  260. But for the believer,

  261. even when we do sin,

  262. even when we mess up

  263. and fail,

  264. we can be confident

  265. that our sins

  266. are forgiven.

  267. Every single one

  268. of them can be forgiven

  269. because of our trust

  270. in Jesus.

  271. So if you see

  272. another believer

  273. who has fallen,

  274. don't gossip about them,

  275. don't look down at them

  276. and criticise them,

  277. get alongside them,

  278. pray with them

  279. and for them

  280. in repentance

  281. and confession

  282. that we might be

  283. forgiven.

  284. So we have confidence

  285. that God hears us

  286. and that God forgives us.

  287. Here's the third one,

  288. we have confidence

  289. because God

  290. keeps us.

  291. If our trust

  292. is in Jesus,

  293. we have confidence

  294. that God will keep us.

  295. You see,

  296. the promise

  297. of eternal life

  298. isn't just a gift

  299. from God

  300. saying,

  301. here you are,

  302. but you better

  303. hold on to it.

  304. No,

  305. it is something

  306. that God holds on to

  307. for us.

  308. Remember the illustration

  309. at the beginning?

  310. Whether you're tickled

  311. or punched,

  312. life will be held on to

  313. by God.

  314. Look at verse 18.

  315. We know that anyone

  316. born of God

  317. does not continue

  318. to sin.

  319. You know,

  320. when Emma was born,

  321. she received two things

  322. from her parents.

  323. She received natural,

  324. physical life

  325. and she received

  326. something of the nature

  327. of her parents.

  328. Now,

  329. I'll let you decide

  330. if that's a good thing

  331. or a bad thing.

  332. Hmm?

  333. I'm sure it's a good thing.

  334. She's received life

  335. from her parents

  336. and she received

  337. something of the nature

  338. of her parents.

  339. So because Emma

  340. has simply been born

  341. of Connor and Sarah,

  342. as she grows up,

  343. she will begin

  344. to look like them.

  345. And you'll even discover

  346. that she will

  347. develop behaviours

  348. like them.

  349. Now,

  350. that's a sign

  351. that Emma

  352. is a child

  353. of Connor and Sarah.

  354. That's what makes her unique.

  355. That's what makes her

  356. different to every other child.

  357. Now,

  358. when we are born

  359. of God,

  360. not only do we receive

  361. eternal life

  362. from God,

  363. but we begin

  364. to reflect something

  365. of God's nature

  366. and character.

  367. We begin to behave

  368. like God.

  369. And the sign

  370. that we are born

  371. of God,

  372. the sign that we are

  373. God's children

  374. is our attitude

  375. to sin.

  376. Look again

  377. at verse 18.

  378. He says,

  379. we know that anyone

  380. born of God

  381. does not continue

  382. to sin.

  383. Now,

  384. that's a problem

  385. because I know

  386. that I continue

  387. to sin.

  388. Do you?

  389. No nods.

  390. You can nod away.

  391. It's alright.

  392. We do continue

  393. to sin.

  394. So,

  395. does that mean

  396. we're not meant

  397. to sin at all?

  398. Well,

  399. he's just told us,

  400. didn't he,

  401. in verse 16

  402. that we should pray

  403. for forgiveness.

  404. So,

  405. it can't possibly mean

  406. sinless perfection.

  407. What it does mean,

  408. this not continue

  409. to sin,

  410. is our whole

  411. attitude towards sin.

  412. Rather than tolerate sin,

  413. I now hate my sin.

  414. Instead of hiding my sin,

  415. I now confess my sin

  416. as a sign of the life

  417. that God has given me.

  418. I have been born of God.

  419. I have been given life

  420. and now I have a new way

  421. to live.

  422. And that life

  423. is kept

  424. by God.

  425. Look at the rest

  426. of verse 18.

  427. We'll read 18 again.

  428. We know that anyone

  429. born of God

  430. does not continue

  431. to sin.

  432. The one

  433. who was born of God,

  434. so it's changed there,

  435. I want you to notice that.

  436. So,

  437. the first one,

  438. we know that anyone

  439. born of God,

  440. that's people like us

  441. who trust in Jesus,

  442. do not continue

  443. to sin.

  444. The one

  445. who was born of God,

  446. that's now referring

  447. to Jesus,

  448. keeps him safe

  449. and the evil one

  450. cannot harm him.

  451. Jesus

  452. keeps us safe.

  453. You see,

  454. the only one

  455. that can

  456. keep us

  457. from receiving life,

  458. the only one

  459. that can stop us

  460. from enjoying

  461. eternal life,

  462. is the evil one

  463. or Satan himself.

  464. But,

  465. verse 18 tells us,

  466. he can do nothing

  467. to take away

  468. that life.

  469. The reason is,

  470. in chapter 3,

  471. verse 8,

  472. we read this,

  473. The reason

  474. the Son of God

  475. appeared

  476. was to destroy

  477. the devil's

  478. work.

  479. Through his death

  480. on the cross,

  481. Jesus defeated

  482. our enemy,

  483. the devil,

  484. Satan himself.

  485. He rescued us

  486. from a life of death

  487. and he now

  488. keeps us secure

  489. in eternal life.

  490. So,

  491. not even Satan

  492. can take away

  493. what God

  494. has given to us.

  495. It is like

  496. God writes

  497. his name

  498. on the palm

  499. of his hand

  500. and closes it.

  501. Nothing can

  502. ever take away

  503. the name

  504. from us,

  505. from God,

  506. if we are

  507. trusting in him.

  508. Verse 19 reads,

  509. We know

  510. or we have

  511. this confidence

  512. that we are

  513. children of God

  514. and that the

  515. whole world

  516. is under the

  517. control of the

  518. evil one.

  519. Yes,

  520. we live in a

  521. world where

  522. it is difficult

  523. to be a Christian.

  524. We will struggle

  525. with our sin

  526. every day.

  527. We will battle

  528. with our temptation

  529. every day.

  530. But just as God

  531. has given us

  532. the gift of

  533. eternal life,

  534. he will keep us

  535. in that eternal life.

  536. That is the promise

  537. of God.

  538. The fourth

  539. and the last one.

  540. If our trust

  541. is in Jesus,

  542. we have confidence

  543. because God

  544. is in us.

  545. Eternal life

  546. with God

  547. isn't just

  548. something in the

  549. future to look

  550. forward to.

  551. It is something

  552. that we experience

  553. every single day

  554. as we walk

  555. our life with him.

  556. Not just

  557. an eternal

  558. idea,

  559. but a

  560. today

  561. idea.

  562. God

  563. lives

  564. in us.

  565. Look at

  566. verse 20.

  567. Chapter 5,

  568. verse 20.

  569. We know,

  570. again it's that

  571. word confidence

  572. again,

  573. we have this

  574. confidence that

  575. the Son of God

  576. has come

  577. and has

  578. given us

  579. understanding

  580. so that we

  581. may know

  582. him

  583. who is true.

  584. God is the

  585. one who opens

  586. up our minds

  587. to understand

  588. who Jesus

  589. is.

  590. Not just

  591. intellectually

  592. with our

  593. minds,

  594. but

  595. experientially

  596. with our

  597. hearts.

  598. It tells us

  599. there in

  600. verse 20,

  601. so that we

  602. may know

  603. him who's

  604. true.

  605. That know

  606. is not just

  607. I know

  608. he exists,

  609. an intellectual

  610. knowledge,

  611. but I know

  612. him in a

  613. relational,

  614. experiential

  615. way.

  616. I know

  617. him.

  618. And the

  619. reason why

  620. we know

  621. him is

  622. because God

  623. is in us

  624. by his

  625. spirit.

  626. have a look

  627. back at

  628. chapter 4

  629. verse 13.

  630. Read this

  631. with me

  632. here.

  633. Chapter 4

  634. verse 13.

  635. We know

  636. we have

  637. this life,

  638. we have

  639. this relationship

  640. because,

  641. look at

  642. verse 13,

  643. we know

  644. that we

  645. live in

  646. him and

  647. he lives

  648. in us

  649. because he

  650. has given

  651. us of

  652. his spirit.

  653. Jump down

  654. to verse 15.

  655. If anyone

  656. acknowledges that

  657. Jesus is the

  658. son of God,

  659. and again

  660. that's if you

  661. trust in

  662. Jesus,

  663. God lives

  664. in him

  665. and he

  666. in God.

  667. You see,

  668. the spirit

  669. of God

  670. not only

  671. helps us

  672. to understand

  673. Jesus,

  674. but he

  675. makes Jesus

  676. a living

  677. experience

  678. in our

  679. life so

  680. that we

  681. enjoy his

  682. life in

  683. us every

  684. day because

  685. he is

  686. with us.

  687. But it's

  688. not just

  689. that God

  690. lives in

  691. us.

  692. Here's the

  693. other side

  694. of the

  695. coin.

  696. We

  697. live in

  698. God.

  699. Look at

  700. the rest

  701. of chapter

  702. 5,

  703. verse 20.

  704. So God

  705. lives in

  706. us,

  707. but we

  708. also live

  709. in God.

  710. Let's

  711. read the

  712. end of

  713. verse 20.

  714. And we

  715. are in

  716. him

  717. who is

  718. true,

  719. even

  720. in

  721. his

  722. son

  723. Jesus

  724. Christ.

  725. We

  726. are in

  727. him.

  728. This is

  729. the deep

  730. personal

  731. and intimate

  732. joy that

  733. we have

  734. with God.

  735. He is

  736. not just

  737. a far

  738. out existing

  739. God who

  740. is away

  741. out there

  742. and who is

  743. uninterested

  744. and uncaring

  745. with our

  746. lives in

  747. this world.

  748. He not

  749. only lives

  750. in us,

  751. but we

  752. get to

  753. live in

  754. him.

  755. That means

  756. we get to

  757. share in

  758. and join

  759. in the

  760. love that

  761. the father

  762. and the

  763. son have

  764. together,

  765. that intimate

  766. personal

  767. relationship.

  768. We get

  769. to enjoy

  770. that with

  771. him.

  772. A love

  773. that's

  774. existed

  775. from

  776. eternity

  777. past,

  778. and a

  779. love that

  780. will exist

  781. for eternity

  782. to come.

  783. We share

  784. in that

  785. deep,

  786. intimate

  787. relationship.

  788. This is

  789. where our

  790. searching for

  791. life ends.

  792. This is

  793. where we

  794. find life

  795. in all

  796. its fullness.

  797. People

  798. are on

  799. the search

  800. to find

  801. life,

  802. and this

  803. is where

  804. it is

  805. in Jesus

  806. Christ,

  807. the one

  808. who lives

  809. in us,

  810. and we

  811. live in

  812. him.

  813. Look at

  814. the end

  815. verse 20.

  816. He is

  817. the true

  818. God

  819. and

  820. eternal

  821. life.

  822. So we

  823. can have

  824. confidence

  825. that God

  826. is in

  827. us.

  828. So the

  829. message is

  830. simply this

  831. as we

  832. come to

  833. a conclusion.

  834. Place

  835. your

  836. confidence

  837. in

  838. Jesus.

  839. You see,

  840. if I

  841. ever doubt

  842. I have

  843. life,

  844. if ever

  845. I am

  846. not sure

  847. that I

  848. have

  849. eternal

  850. life,

  851. do you

  852. know why

  853. I doubt

  854. or why

  855. my confidence

  856. goes?

  857. It's because

  858. I begin

  859. to look

  860. at other

  861. things and

  862. other people

  863. instead of

  864. looking at

  865. the true

  866. and perfect

  867. life of

  868. Jesus

  869. Christ.

  870. That's

  871. why we

  872. have this

  873. final

  874. encouragement.

  875. The

  876. very last

  877. verse,

  878. verse 21.

  879. Dear

  880. children,

  881. dear

  882. children,

  883. keep

  884. yourselves

  885. from

  886. idols.

  887. You

  888. know what

  889. an idol

  890. is?

  891. It

  892. doesn't

  893. have to

  894. be a

  895. statue.

  896. An

  897. idol is

  898. a

  899. replacement

  900. for

  901. God.

  902. It

  903. can

  904. be

  905. anything

  906. that

  907. replaces

  908. God.

  909. So

  910. instead

  911. of

  912. looking

  913. to

  914. God

  915. and

  916. his

  917. son

  918. Jesus

  919. for

  920. confidence,

  921. we

  922. begin

  923. to

  924. look

  925. to

  926. other

  927. things.

  928. We

  929. take

  930. God

  931. out

  932. and

  933. we

  934. replace

  935. him

  936. with

  937. someone

  938. else

  939. or

  940. something

  941. else.

  942. So

  943. he

  944. says

  945. to

  946. us,

  947. keep

  948. yourself

  949. from

  950. idols.

  951. turn

  952. from

  953. trusting

  954. in

  955. your

  956. own

  957. life.

  958. Stop

  959. trusting

  960. in

  961. other

  962. things.

  963. Stop

  964. building

  965. your

  966. life

  967. on

  968. what's

  969. out

  970. there.

  971. and

  972. place

  973. all

  974. your

  975. confidence

  976. in

  977. the

  978. perfect

  979. and

  980. completed

  981. work

  982. of

  983. Jesus

  984. Christ.

  985. In

  986. Jesus

  987. we

  988. are

  989. secure.

  990. Remember

  991. our

  992. illustration

  993. at the

  994. beginning.

  995. Can

  996. you

  997. take

  998. it

  999. out

  1000. of

  1001. my

  1002. hand?

  1003. And

  1004. God

  1005. says

  1006. if you

  1007. trust

  1008. in

  1009. me,

  1010. I

  1011. have

  1012. you

  1013. in

  1014. my

  1015. hand.

  1016. Nothing

  1017. and

  1018. no

  1019. one

  1020. can

  1021. open

  1022. it.

  1023. No

  1024. one

  1025. and

  1026. nothing

  1027. can

  1028. take

  1029. away

  1030. that

  1031. life.

  1032. You

  1033. have

  1034. it

  1035. now

  1036. and

  1037. for

  1038. all

  1039. eternity.

  1040. A

  1041. life

  1042. with

  1043. the

  1044. Father

  1045. and

  1046. with

  1047. the

  1048. Son.

  1049. A

  1050. life

  1051. where

  1052. we

  1053. find

  1054. joy

  1055. in

  1056. all

  1057. its

  1058. fullness.

  1059. We

  1060. have

  1061. confidence

  1062. and

  1063. it's

  1064. because

  1065. of

  1066. Jesus

  1067. Christ.

  1068. Let's

  1069. pray

  1070. together.

  1071. Our

  1072. Father

  1073. God,

  1074. we

  1075. thank

  1076. you

  1077. so

  1078. much

  1079. for

  1080. the

  1081. wonderful

  1082. gift

  1083. of

  1084. eternal

  1085. life.

  1086. We

  1087. thank

  1088. you

  1089. that

  1090. you

  1091. have

  1092. made

  1093. that

  1094. life

  1095. known

  1096. to

  1097. us

  1098. through

  1099. your

  1100. Son

  1101. Jesus

  1102. Christ.

  1103. And

  1104. we

  1105. thank

  1106. you

  1107. too

  1108. for

  1109. that

  1110. incredible

  1111. promise

  1112. that

  1113. for

  1114. all

  1115. who

  1116. believe

  1117. in

  1118. you

  1119. and

  1120. trust

  1121. you

  1122. they

  1123. have

  1124. confidence

  1125. and

  1126. assurance

  1127. that

  1128. that

  1129. life

  1130. will

  1131. be

  1132. kept

  1133. forever

  1134. and

  1135. forever.

  1136. Thank

  1137. you

  1138. that

  1139. you

  1140. hear

  1141. us.

  1142. Thank

  1143. you

  1144. that

  1145. you

  1146. forgive

  1147. us.

  1148. Thank

  1149. you

  1150. that

  1151. you

  1152. keep

  1153. us.

  1154. And

  1155. thank

  1156. you

  1157. that

  1158. you

  1159. live

  1160. in

  1161. us.

  1162. Thank

  1163. you

  1164. for all

  1165. that we

  1166. have

  1167. because

  1168. of

  1169. Jesus

  1170. for

  1171. the

  1172. life

  1173. that

  1174. you

  1175. have

  1176. come

  1177. to

  1178. give.

  1179. We

  1180. praise

  1181. you.

  1182. Amen.

  1183. We're

  1184. going to

  1185. sing

  1186. together

  1187. as we

  1188. come

  1189. to an

  1190. end of

  1191. this

  1192. part

  1193. of our

  1194. gathering.

  1195. We

  1196. continue

  1197. afterwards

  1198. with

  1199. lunch

  1200. and

  1201. you're

  1202. all

  1203. very

  1204. very

  1205. welcome

  1206. to

  1207. stay

  1208. behind

  1209. for

  1210. that.

  1211. The

  1212. song

  1213. that

  1214. we're

  1215. going

  1216. to

  1217. sing

  1218. when

  1219. I

  1220. was

  1221. lost

  1222. you

  1223. came

  1224. and

  1225. rescued

  1226. me

  1227. reached

  1228. down

  1229. and

  1230. lifted

  1231. me

  1232. oh

  1233. Lord

  1234. such

  1235. love.

  1236. This

  1237. is

  1238. the

  1239. life

  1240. the

  1241. God

  1242. who

  1243. came

  1244. to

  1245. us

  1246. and

  1247. the

  1248. life

  1249. he

  1250. gives

  1251. the

  1252. life

  1253. he

  1254. will

  1255. keep

  1256. for

  1257. us.

  1258. Let's

  1259. stand

  1260. together

  1261. as

  1262. we

  1263. sing.

  1264. first

  1265. indebted

  1266. 100%

  1267. Oh Lord.
