  1. Start us by praying, and then we'll look at God's Word together.

  2. Father, as we've already been reflecting on this morning, I pray that we would be captivated

  3. by this picture of your mercy and kindness and compassion that we see in your Word this

  4. morning.

  5. Lord, let our hearts be filled with genuine wonder and thankfulness at what we see.

  6. And let it lead us to be merciful as you are merciful.

  7. It's in Christ's name we ask all this.

  8. Amen.

  9. Well, we have been following the story of Jacob's family over the past few months, and now the

  10. family of the promise is hanging in the balance.

  11. God had promised that all the nations will be blessed through them, and ultimately through

  12. this promised seed, the one who would deal with sin and death once and for all.

  13. But instead of being a blessing to the world, we find a family on the brink of extinction,

  14. desperately in need of God's mercy, his gift of undeserved kindness and compassion.

  15. Read from verse 1 with me again.

  16. When Jacob learned that there was grain in Egypt, he said to his sons,

  17. Why do you just keep looking at each other?

  18. He continued, I have heard that there is grain in Egypt.

  19. Go down there and buy some for us, so that we may live and not die.

  20. So then, ten of Joseph's brothers went down to buy grain from Egypt.

  21. But Jacob did not send Benjamin, Joseph's brother, with the others, because he was afraid that harm

  22. might come to him.

  23. See, on the one hand, this family is about to die of starvation.

  24. And on the other hand, they're about to fall apart from dysfunction.

  25. Let's take Jacob first.

  26. I mean, over the last 20 years of grief following Joseph's sudden disappearance,

  27. he's had a lot of time to reflect on what happened.

  28. And we know that he knows that the brothers' story isn't quite adding up.

  29. And that there's something that they know about Joseph's disappearance that they just aren't saying.

  30. I mean, why doesn't he send Benjamin with them?

  31. He simply doesn't trust them, does he?

  32. In fact, at the end of the chapter, as we read, he has this furious outburst in which he shouts at the brothers,

  33. you have deprived me of my children.

  34. The tension in this family is rising.

  35. And this family is hanging in the balance.

  36. And as for the brothers, well, what a bunch of scoundrels they are.

  37. I mean, for 20 years now, they've maintained this grand lie about Joseph, covering their tracks completely.

  38. Jacob's name means deceiver, but now he's the one who's being deceived by his sons.

  39. To date, there's been no hint of remorse on their part.

  40. They don't care that their father has been suffering these last 20 years, let alone Joseph.

  41. And now these rogues are desperate.

  42. Their family's about to fall apart.

  43. They're all about to die if they don't get to food.

  44. They are in desperate need of mercy.

  45. But the problem is, they don't deserve one bit of it.

  46. But mercy is what they get.

  47. In spades.

  48. Totally undeserved.

  49. And totally free.

  50. And as we walk with the brothers all the way down to Egypt and back again, we're going to learn three things about what mercy is and is not.

  51. Now, you're not going to see them on the screen, I think.

  52. You've got to remember them in your head.

  53. Number one, mercy is for the undeserving, not the deserving.

  54. Mercy is for those who know they need it, not for the self-righteous.

  55. And mercy, thirdly, is for the humble, not the proud.

  56. So first of all, mercy is for the undeserving, not the deserving.

  57. Now, in verse 5, the brothers set off for Egypt.

  58. And we watch on as in God's amazing providence, they walk straight into the court of Joseph, now governor of Egypt.

  59. And even more incredible, Joseph is the man in charge of all the grain supplies.

  60. The only person in the world with the power to help these brothers is the very person that they sold into slavery 20 years ago.

  61. Isn't that incredible?

  62. I mean, you couldn't even dream that up.

  63. Although, funnily enough, Joseph did.

  64. You remember those dreams he had 20 years ago about his brothers bowing down to him?

  65. God gave him those dreams.

  66. And now, it has just happened.

  67. Because God's word never fails.

  68. Even if you have to wait 20 years or more for it to come to pass, it will.

  69. Because he cannot go against his word to us.

  70. Now, let's not presume that this was all joy for Joseph to see his brothers bowing down in front of him in the court.

  71. Let's keep in mind that when it came to naming his firstborn son, this was just at the end of the last chapter,

  72. Joseph called him Forget, or Manasseh in Hebrew.

  73. And he called him Forget because, he said, it's because God has made me forget all my trouble and all my father's households.

  74. See, Joseph was moving on with his life.

  75. He put all that in the past.

  76. But in a split second, that all changed.

  77. Everything that these wicked brothers did to him dragged right back up to the surface.

  78. And what is he going to do now?

  79. Joseph now has the power of life and death over his brothers.

  80. The tables have turned completely.

  81. Their lives are all in his hands.

  82. They've come for food to save them from dying.

  83. But all they deserve is punishment.

  84. What will Joseph do?

  85. Well, verse 7.

  86. As soon as Joseph saw his brothers, he recognized them.

  87. But he pretended to be a stranger and spoke harshly to them.

  88. Where do you come from?

  89. He asked.

  90. From the land of Canaan, they replied, to buy food.

  91. Although Joseph recognized his brothers, they did not recognize him.

  92. Then he remembered his dreams about them and said to them,

  93. You are spies.

  94. You have come to see where our land is unprotected.

  95. Now, pause a second.

  96. What is Joseph doing here?

  97. Well, I don't know what you think, but it seems to me like he's given them a little taste of their own medicine, isn't he?

  98. I mean, he knows that they aren't spies.

  99. But he accuses them of it anyway.

  100. And now they begin to feel the sting of injustice for themselves.

  101. Carry on in verse 10.

  102. No, my lord, the brothers answered.

  103. Your servants have come to buy food.

  104. We are all the sons of one man.

  105. Your servants are honest men.

  106. Not spies.

  107. Honest men?

  108. Well, that's pretty rich now, isn't it?

  109. Coming from them.

  110. And they can't fool Joseph either, can they?

  111. I mean, Joseph knows their history.

  112. Now, I grew up in a home with a brother who was nine years older, wiser, and smarter than I am.

  113. And I just clearly remember many times he would sit back on the sofa, arms folded, and look at me and say,

  114. I can read you like a book.

  115. And that was to say that I know what you're saying, but I know what you're actually thinking.

  116. I know what's really going on inside you.

  117. That's because my brother knew me so well, and I still couldn't figure out, how did you know that?

  118. I couldn't hide.

  119. I couldn't pretend with him.

  120. He knew me so well.

  121. And nor could Joseph's brothers.

  122. They couldn't hide or pretend in front of him.

  123. Well, Joseph continues to make them sweat in the next few verses, insisting that they are spies,

  124. and throwing them all into prison for three days.

  125. And once the three days are up, only one of the brothers will be released to go back to the family.

  126. For the only reason, to bring back Benjamin.

  127. Everyone else will stay in prison.

  128. No grain.

  129. It's a harsh sentence.

  130. And as the brothers sit on the cold floor of that prison, they have officially hit rock bottom.

  131. All the while, the food is running out for their starving families at home.

  132. If they were desperate before, they're hopeless now.

  133. Their lives are completely at the mercy of this Egyptian governor,

  134. who they don't even realize is the very brother they betrayed.

  135. These brothers need mercy, but they only deserve punishment.

  136. And Joseph has three days to dream up his payback.

  137. And we're watching on, and we're thinking, here it is, Joseph.

  138. You have them now.

  139. Make them pay for every ounce of pain that they inflicted on you.

  140. Who would blame him?

  141. But Joseph's response is not as we expect, is it?

  142. Because in verses 18 to 20, Joseph shows mercy to his undeserving brothers and their starving families.

  143. In fact, instead of keeping nine in jail, like he said he was going to do,

  144. he lets nine go free to take grain back home,

  145. keeping only one back as a guarantee to see Benjamin again.

  146. And then he stacks kindness on top of kindness as he sends them home with provisions for the journey.

  147. Now, he didn't have to do that, did he?

  148. And after they have paid for the grain,

  149. he secretly takes the money and puts it back in their sacks,

  150. refusing to take any payment.

  151. This is staggering mercy,

  152. shown to those who are utterly undeserving.

  153. And I think that we can all see ourselves in the brother's portrait.

  154. Because we have all grievously sinned against our father in heaven

  155. and betrayed him in his love.

  156. Despite knowing that God is our creator, sustainer, and joy giver,

  157. day by day, by the way we live,

  158. we say,

  159. I am king.

  160. I know what's best.

  161. I don't need you.

  162. And just like the brother's sins were laid bare before Joseph,

  163. so the full extent of our rebellion is laid bare before God.

  164. I mean, we can't hide or pretend.

  165. We are guilty.

  166. And friends,

  167. that leaves us in grave danger.

  168. Something ultimately worse than starvation or a prison sentence.

  169. God's word tells us that we deserve judgment for our sin.

  170. Separation from God for eternity.

  171. And no amount of good that we could ever do would make up for it.

  172. Or make it right.

  173. See, the bottom line for us is that we don't deserve mercy from God.

  174. But the astonishing reality of the gospel

  175. is that God doesn't treat us as our sins deserve.

  176. If Joseph showed undeserved kindness to his brothers,

  177. how much more has God shown extravagant mercy to us,

  178. undeserving sinners?

  179. He sent Jesus to take the punishment we were due.

  180. The punishment we deserved for our betrayal.

  181. Defeating our death.

  182. Giving us eternal life with him.

  183. That is mercy.

  184. And his mercy doesn't stop there.

  185. He pours out his kindness on us every single day.

  186. Giving us life and breath.

  187. Food and shelter.

  188. Love and laughter.

  189. As Lamentations 3 says,

  190. His mercies never come to an end.

  191. They are new every morning.

  192. Brothers and sisters,

  193. remember,

  194. God shows his mercy

  195. to the undeserving,

  196. not the deserving.

  197. Are you thankful for this?

  198. Or if you have yet to receive it,

  199. why do you wait?

  200. Receive his mercy offered in Christ.

  201. Not because you deserve it,

  202. but because God's mercy is for the undeserving.

  203. As we continue in the story,

  204. we're also going to learn that secondly,

  205. mercy is for those who know they need it,

  206. not for the self-righteous.

  207. I mean,

  208. you can't ultimately receive God's mercy

  209. if you don't think you need it,

  210. if you don't realize that you have a sin problem.

  211. And in verse 21,

  212. the brothers finally realize

  213. that they have a sin problem.

  214. And obviously,

  215. they're still feeling the sting

  216. of having to leave Simeon behind in jail.

  217. And that is leading them to reflect

  218. on their own past actions.

  219. We're going to read from verse 21.

  220. They said to one another,

  221. surely we are being punished

  222. because of our brother.

  223. We saw how distressed he was

  224. when he pleaded with us for his life,

  225. but we wouldn't listen.

  226. That's why this distress has come on us.

  227. Reuben replied,

  228. didn't I tell you not to sin against the boy?

  229. But you wouldn't listen.

  230. Now we must give an accounting for his blood.

  231. They didn't realize

  232. that Joseph could understand them

  233. since he was using an interpreter.

  234. So for the first time that we know of

  235. in 20 years,

  236. the brothers acknowledge their guilt and their sin.

  237. Or they knew the right thing to do, all right,

  238. but they did what was evil.

  239. And they don't have any complaints, do they?

  240. Now they face the judgment they are due.

  241. They see this as being from God.

  242. And in all our lives,

  243. we must come to the very same point

  244. as these brothers did

  245. if we are ever to receive God's mercy

  246. and Noah's forgiveness.

  247. But you see,

  248. our problem is that we often deny

  249. that we have a real sin problem.

  250. We say things like this,

  251. oh, I make a few mistakes here and there.

  252. But, I mean,

  253. essentially I'm a good person.

  254. You know,

  255. I do good things.

  256. And this is what the religious leaders

  257. in Jesus' time thought.

  258. And in Luke chapter 5,

    Luke 5 chapter mention

  259. they rebuked Jesus.

  260. Because what was Jesus doing?

  261. Well, he was eating with thieves

  262. and prostitutes.

  263. And they were like,

  264. Jesus, hold on.

  265. Why are you eating

  266. with those bad people over there?

  267. You should be eating with

  268. good people like us.

  269. And Jesus,

  270. he knows that they've got it all wrong.

  271. And this is what he says to them

  272. in Luke chapter 5.

    Luke 5 chapter mention

  273. He says,

  274. it's not the healthy who need a doctor,

  275. but the sick.

  276. I have not come to call those

  277. who are right with God

  278. in their own eyes,

  279. but sinners to repentance.

  280. Now,

  281. think about it.

  282. Would you ever go to the doctor

  283. without first admitting

  284. that you were sick?

  285. No, you wouldn't,

  286. would you?

  287. In fact,

  288. sometimes that's the hardest thing

  289. to admit,

  290. that we are sick.

  291. Because we want,

  292. actually,

  293. to be self-sufficient.

  294. I know I find that hard.

  295. When I start to feel

  296. a little bit off,

  297. I'm like,

  298. no,

  299. I'm fine.

  300. I'm perfectly fine.

  301. I'm just going to power on

  302. with my day,

  303. and then 10 minutes later,

  304. I'm, you know,

  305. throwing up or something.

  306. But my problem is,

  307. actually,

  308. I'm just denying it

  309. until I can't deny it anymore.

  310. And you know what?

  311. Jesus says,

  312. this is kind of a picture

  313. of our hearts,

  314. because in the same way,

  315. we don't want to admit

  316. our sickness of sin

  317. in our hearts

  318. and our need for mercy.

  319. We'd much rather say,

  320. thanks, Jesus,

  321. for your offer of mercy,

  322. but I'm pretty good by myself.

  323. Thank you.

  324. But these brothers,

  325. their eyes were finally opened

  326. to see the extent

  327. of their sin.

  328. And for us,

  329. when we first understand

  330. our sickness of sin,

  331. we instantly realize

  332. we only deserve judgment

  333. from God.

  334. Thanks, Ralph.

  335. But then we see Jesus,

  336. who steps in

  337. to take that judgment

  338. for us,

  339. which leads us

  340. to confess

  341. our ultimate need

  342. of him

  343. and what he's done

  344. for us.

  345. And that is the moment

  346. that we receive

  347. God's mercy

  348. and are forgiven,

  349. welcomed as children

  350. of God.

  351. Remember,

  352. God's mercy

  353. is for those

  354. who know

  355. they need it,

  356. not for those

  357. who falsely think

  358. that they don't,

  359. those who are

  360. righteous

  361. in their own eyes.

  362. So I have to ask you

  363. the question,

  364. which description

  365. best fits you?

  366. If you don't really

  367. see your sickness

  368. of sin

  369. or think that you're

  370. that bad,

  371. I encourage you,

  372. read God's word

  373. and ask him

  374. to open your eyes

  375. to see it

  376. and he will.

  377. So as the chapter

  378. comes to a close,

  379. these brothers

  380. are going to discover

  381. that Joseph's kindness

  382. was even greater

  383. than they had realized

  384. before.

  385. And we will learn,

  386. thirdly,

  387. that this mercy

  388. that God offers

  389. can only be received

  390. by the humble,

  391. not the proud.

  392. Look at verse 25.

  393. Joseph gave orders

  394. to fill their bags

  395. with grain,

  396. to put each man's

  397. silver back in his sack

  398. and to give them

  399. provisions for their journey.

  400. After this was done

  401. for them,

  402. they loaded their grain

  403. on their donkeys

  404. and left.

  405. And at the place

  406. where they stopped

  407. for the night,

  408. one of them opened

  409. his sack

  410. to get feed

  411. for his donkey

  412. and he saw his silver

  413. in the mouth of his sack.

  414. My silver has been returned,

  415. he said to his brothers.

  416. Here it is in my sack.

  417. Their hearts sank.

  418. And they turned

  419. to each other,

  420. trembling,

  421. and said,

  422. what is this

  423. that God has done

  424. to us?

  425. So they arrived

  426. back to their father,

  427. they relayed the whole saga,

  428. and then look down

  429. at verse 35.

  430. As they were emptying

  431. their sacks,

  432. there in each man's sack

  433. was his pouch of silver.

  434. When they and their father

  435. saw the money pouches,

  436. they were frightened.

  437. Doesn't that strike you

  438. as strange?

  439. At the moment,

  440. they realize the extent

  441. of Joseph's mercy.

  442. They tremble in fear.

  443. That might be the thing

  444. we'd least expect them to do.

  445. And we don't know

  446. exactly why,

  447. but here are three

  448. plausible reasons

  449. why they may have

  450. trembled before his mercy.

  451. A,

  452. judging on their

  453. colorful past,

  454. these rogues don't seem

  455. to be the kind

  456. and merciful type.

  457. I think you'd agree.

  458. And maybe Joseph's

  459. mercy and kindness

  460. frightened them so much

  461. because mercy like that

  462. demands a life change,

  463. doesn't it?

  464. You can't just continue

  465. on as you were

  466. after experiencing

  467. mercy like that

  468. and they weren't

  469. prepared to change.

  470. Or B,

  471. maybe they were

  472. frightened of his mercy

  473. because they just

  474. thought it was too good

  475. to be true.

  476. I mean,

  477. surely the ruler

  478. of all of Egypt

  479. would not be as kind

  480. and merciful as this.

  481. There must have been

  482. some mistake

  483. and they would have

  484. to pay him back.

  485. In fact,

  486. in the next chapter

  487. we read,

  488. they would go back

  489. with double the amount.

  490. And Jacob,

  491. Jacob is fearful

  492. of the governor's

  493. kindness also

  494. because in the last

  495. few verses of the chapter

  496. he refuses

  497. to allow his sons

  498. go back to Egypt

  499. despite all the kindness

  500. that they were shown there.

  501. for Jacob,

  502. it was also

  503. too good

  504. to be true.

  505. Or maybe

  506. they realized

  507. this was a gift

  508. of mercy

  509. and kindness

  510. but they were just

  511. too proud

  512. to receive it.

  513. Maybe they just

  514. wanted to earn

  515. it themselves

  516. though they could

  517. never earn

  518. Joseph's mercy

  519. after all

  520. they did to him

  521. nor ever compensate

  522. him

  523. for all the suffering

  524. they caused.

  525. You see,

  526. here we learn

  527. that God's mercy

  528. can only be

  529. truly received

  530. by the humble

  531. not the proud.

  532. God's mercy

  533. is for those

  534. who humbly say

  535. thank you

  536. for a gift

  537. of forgiveness

  538. they never deserved

  539. nor could

  540. ever

  541. pay back.

  542. in a few moments

  543. we're going to sing

  544. a song together

  545. called

  546. His Mercy

  547. is More

  548. and I think

  549. these words

  550. say it better

  551. than I could.

  552. They're on the screen

  553. there.

  554. What riches

  555. of kindness

  556. he lavished

  557. on us.

  558. His blood

  559. was the payment

  560. his life

  561. was the cost.

  562. We stood

  563. neath a debt

  564. we could never

  565. afford

  566. our sins

  567. they are many

  568. his mercy

  569. is more.

  570. Brothers and sisters

  571. we could never

  572. repay God

  573. the debt

  574. of sin

  575. we owed.

  576. We could never

  577. repay Jesus

  578. for the ultimate

  579. price

  580. he paid

  581. with his life

  582. to purchase

  583. our forgiveness.

  584. forgiveness.

  585. So today

  586. if you are

  587. trying to

  588. earn God's

  589. mercy

  590. you will

  591. never

  592. receive it.

  593. It's not

  594. possible.

  595. Or if you're

  596. trying to

  597. repay God

  598. for the mercy

  599. he's shown you

  600. you haven't

  601. understood it.

  602. Unlike the

  603. brothers

  604. in this instance

  605. we must

  606. receive God's

  607. mercy

  608. as a gift

  609. in humility.

  610. all we must

  611. do

  612. is say

  613. thank you

  614. and rest

  615. in his

  616. mercy.

  617. Because God's

  618. mercy is for

  619. the undeserving

  620. not the

  621. deserving.

  622. It's for the

  623. one who knows

  624. they need it

  625. not the

  626. self-righteous.

  627. And it's for

  628. the humble

  629. not the one

  630. who's proud

  631. who says

  632. I can earn

  633. it myself.

  634. Which

  635. description

  636. best fits

  637. you?

  638. And as we

  639. finish

  640. here's one

  641. last implication

  642. of all that

  643. we've heard.

  644. If we really

  645. have received

  646. so great a

  647. mercy

  648. that changes

  649. how we

  650. respond to

  651. other people's

  652. sin and

  653. failure also

  654. doesn't it?

  655. I mean

  656. our wider

  657. community

  658. looking in

  659. on us

  660. in Cargoline

  661. Baptist Church

  662. they should

  663. see a

  664. people

  665. who show

  666. mercy and

  667. kindness

  668. that doesn't

  669. make sense.

  670. A kind

  671. of mercy

  672. that's given

  673. even when

  674. it's not

  675. reciprocated

  676. or deserved.

  677. A mercy

  678. given with

  679. no ulterior

  680. motives

  681. no self-interest

  682. not looking

  683. for anything

  684. in return.

  685. what about

  686. when someone

  687. in your

  688. family

  689. snaps

  690. at you

  691. or is

  692. selfish

  693. in their

  694. attitude

  695. towards you?

  696. Maybe it's

  697. a sibling

  698. parent

  699. a spouse

  700. our natural

  701. reaction

  702. is to get

  703. our own

  704. back

  705. right?

  706. But what

  707. would it

  708. look like

  709. to be

  710. merciful

  711. in that

  712. situation

  713. instead?

  714. Speaking

  715. a kind

  716. and gentle

  717. word in

  718. response.

  719. Does any

  720. one of us

  721. find that

  722. easy?

  723. Absolutely

  724. not.

  725. But

  726. we do

  727. have the

  728. Holy Spirit's

  729. power

  730. to draw

  731. upon to

  732. live this

  733. new life

  734. in Christ.

  735. Life

  736. as a

  737. family

  738. is a

  739. life of

  740. giving

  741. and

  742. receiving

  743. mercy

  744. day by

  745. day.

  746. Or what

  747. about when

  748. someone from

  749. the church

  750. family hurts

  751. you?

  752. Maybe

  753. they passed

  754. a throwaway

  755. comment

  756. or voiced

  757. their opinions

  758. in a way

  759. that lacked

  760. sensitivity

  761. and kindness.

  762. Our

  763. natural

  764. reaction is

  765. to withdraw,

  766. to resent

  767. that person

  768. or even

  769. to gossip

  770. about it.

  771. What would

  772. it mean

  773. to show

  774. mercy

  775. instead?

  776. What would

  777. it look like

  778. to choose

  779. to love

  780. even if

  781. that person

  782. doesn't

  783. deserve

  784. it in

  785. that

  786. moment?

  787. Or what

  788. about when

  789. someone in

  790. work or

  791. school

  792. goes out

  793. of their

  794. way

  795. to

  796. purposefully

  797. undermine

  798. your name?

  799. Not hard

  800. to imagine

  801. what our

  802. natural reaction

  803. would be

  804. right there.

  805. To get

  806. our own

  807. back,

  808. whatever the

  809. cost.

  810. mercy means

  811. that we

  812. won't

  813. spread

  814. gospel

  815. about

  816. them

  817. or

  818. return

  819. ill

  820. for

  821. ill.

  822. And I

  823. don't know

  824. what situation

  825. you're

  826. thinking of

  827. in which

  828. someone

  829. doesn't

  830. deserve

  831. your

  832. kindness

  833. for the

  834. way that

  835. they have

  836. acted

  837. towards

  838. you.

  839. But the

  840. point is

  841. this.

  842. If we've

  843. been forgiven

  844. so great

  845. a debt,

  846. one we

  847. could never

  848. afford to

  849. repay,

  850. that

  851. frees us

  852. to forgive

  853. the debts

  854. people owe

  855. to us.

  856. With God's

  857. help,

  858. we can

  859. be

  860. merciful.

  861. So remember,

  862. we are

  863. more sinful

  864. and undeserving

  865. than we

  866. ever realized.

  867. But God's

  868. mercy is

  869. greater than

  870. we have

  871. ever dreamed.

  872. In repentance

  873. and humility,

  874. we receive

  875. it from

  876. him.

  877. And we

  878. pour it

  879. out on

  880. others.

  881. Let's

  882. pray.

  883. thank you,

  884. Lord.

  885. Thank you

  886. for your

  887. extravagant

  888. mercy

  889. poured out

  890. on us.

  891. Help us

  892. to receive

  893. it in

  894. humility

  895. and in

  896. thankfulness.

  897. Lord,

  898. we confess

  899. how often

  900. we respond

  901. in anger

  902. and revenge

  903. to others'

  904. sin.

  905. help us

  906. to be

  907. merciful

  908. as you

  909. are

  910. merciful.

  911. For

  912. Jesus'

  913. sake,

  914. we pray.

  915. Amen.

  916. Well,

  917. we're going

  918. to sing

  919. that song

  920. now,

  921. His

  922. mercy

  923. is

  924. more.

  925. Let's

  926. use this

  927. as an

  928. opportunity

  929. to wonder

  930. anew

  931. at God's

  932. mercy

  933. on us

  934. and also

  935. to put it

  936. into practice

  937. in our

  938. own lives.

  939. Please stand

  940. if you're

  941. able.

  942. Thank you.
