  1. You're listening to a message to go from Acts Church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. Today I want to share with you that God leads

  4. revival and guys, never get fed up of hearing the

  5. word revival. Okay, because we tend to think, you know,

  6. a lot of times we think that revival involves somebody else.

  7. Revival is about somebody else getting blessed of the Lord.

  8. Revival is about everybody else but us. Let me tell

  9. you that revival, something special, always begins with you. You

  10. have a part to play. Before the revival spreads around,

  11. it starts in your heart. And I want you to

  12. know that the one who leads revival is God. So

  13. let's go into the word. And the word is taken

  14. from Acts chapter 16, verse 16 to 34. Now it

    Acts 16:16–34

  15. happened that as we went to prayer, that a certain

  16. slave girl possessed with the spirit of divination met us

  17. and brought her master's much profit by fortune telling. Now

  18. as it happened, as they went to pray, who was

  19. the they? Paul and Silas. Okay? They were going to

  20. pray as it went. You got to understand that was

  21. their day. That was their life. That was their work.

  22. That was what they did. So how many of us

  23. in our lives have something that we do as it happened?

  24. As it happened, we got in the car to go

  25. to work. As it happened, we opened the front door

  26. of our office. As it happened, we met someone at

  27. office today. You get what I'm saying? So it was

  28. a normal practice for them, all right? So they were

  29. met by somebody strange. Not everything that happens in your

  30. life is going to be what you expect it to be.

  31. Very often, life will throw you a lot of curves

  32. that you do not expect. And in this case, it

  33. was a person who was possessed with the spirit of, divination,

  34. who brought a master's much profit by fortune telling. Can

  35. demons tell the future? How many of you think demons

  36. can tell the future? Put up your hands. Don't be shy.

  37. How many of you think demons cannot tell the future?

  38. Put up your hands. How many of you just don't know?

  39. Let me tell you what seems to be fortune telling, okay?

  40. what seems to be the ability to tell the future.

  41. You do know that your enemy is what? The father

  42. of lies. He is a big liar and therefore all

  43. his second thirds and his army of cohorts, they are

  44. liars as well. Now, if one demon was hiding behind

  45. that pillar, ready to trip the next guy that falls,

  46. that comes along and make him fall on his face, Now,

  47. another demon in a possessed person tells Eliza, you know,

  48. you watch and see, in a short while, the next

  49. person that walks past that wall is going to fall.

  50. So the next person walks, Tim walks past the wall,

  51. Tim puts out a leg and he falls. And then

  52. everybody said, wow, can you tell the future, ma?

  53. Wow.

  54. And this is how the enemy is lying to a

  55. lot of people. This fortune telling bit with the parrot

  56. and with all these things. God, guys, you and I,

  57. we got to be aware that there's only one person

  58. who knows the future. And that is who? God. You

  59. know why? Because God is the future and the present

  60. and the past. all at the same time. Guys, this

  61. is what happened. All right? So let's move on. Now,

  62. this girl followed Paul and us and cried out saying,

  63. these men are the servants of the Most High God

  64. who proclaim to us the way of salvation. Now, was

  65. this statement correct? Yes. This statement was correct. You know,

  66. let me tell you that sometimes confusion comes because some

  67. people say a few correct things, And then the zinc

  68. one lie in and you think, oh, everything's correct. And

  69. you get taken up. You get fooled overall. That was

  70. the purpose. But I want you to know, and this

  71. she did for many days, many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed,

  72. turned and said to the spirit, I command you in

  73. the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.

  74. And he came out that very hour. What she said

  75. was correct, right? Why would Paul get annoyed? Do you know? Okay.

  76. If this girl said it this way, if she said

  77. it this way, let me go back. These men are

  78. the servants of the Most High God who proclaim to

  79. us the way of salvation. You like that voice? Would

  80. you get annoyed? No, isn't it? It's like somebody nice,

  81. you know, it's like throwing flowers in your pot. You know,

  82. it sounds so nice, right? Would you get annoyed at that? No.

  83. How many of you have heard a person who's possessed speak?

  84. Can I see your hands? I have. I used to

  85. be in church from 12 to 4 in the morning

  86. every night practically praying for deliverance cases. You'd be surprised

  87. how many possessed cases there are in Singapore. And when

  88. they speak, it would have sounded like this. These men

  89. are servants of the most high God who proclaim the

  90. way of salvation. You won't get irritated at somebody speaking

  91. like that to you every day. Every day. Every day,

  92. every moment. But you got to give Paul and Silas

  93. some credit. They were pretty, you know, chill. Until, until

  94. he tried to interfere with their desire to do God's work.

  95. And then Paul acted. What did Paul say? I command

  96. you in the name of Jesus Christ, come out of her.

  97. And he came out that very hour. You know when

  98. you are speaking to possession kids, no need to shout actually.

  99. You can actually say, I command you in Jesus' name,

  100. come out. Because the demon is not deaf. And your

  101. authority doesn't need to be shouted. Jesus never went around shouting,

  102. you know. He just spoke, come out. That's man of class.

  103. Jesus man of class. So the demon came out that

  104. very hour and the master saw that their hope of

  105. profit was gone. They seized Paul and Silas and dragged

  106. them into the marketplace authorities. Okay. In your life, how

  107. many of you have experienced this? Not everyone likes it

  108. when you do good. Have you experienced that in your life?

  109. You do something good and you think everyone should be happy, right? No.

  110. Some people are jealous. Some people don't like to see

  111. a smile on other people's faces. When you do something good,

  112. they find a way to try and spoil it. Correct?

  113. Have you experienced... I've been in working life for 41 years.

  114. No good deed goes unpunished. How many of you have

  115. experienced that? Some of the young ones are nodding their head. Okay,

  116. you got 30 years more of working life. It's not

  117. the end, much more. But you see, it is something

  118. in life you and I have to face. Alright? And

  119. what profits, you must always remember this, if anything profits God,

  120. it causes loss to the enemy and he will react

  121. so guys if things are not going so well for

  122. you even though you seem to be doing right don't

  123. be surprised just check yourself and you just a lot

  124. you know i just did this right thing and and

  125. things are going you know why is it not working

  126. out so well Remember who is behind the situation. It's

  127. very important for you to remember who is behind the

  128. situation so you can overcome it. It was the enemy.

  129. And the enemy didn't like it. And what did they do?

  130. They brought Paul inside. into the marketplace paul and silas

  131. were actually walking there somewhere and then i brought them

  132. into the center of the marketplace and you know why

  133. i i just have this thing against this term marketplace

  134. christians i just don't like this term there's something very

  135. personal But I love the term Christians in the marketplace.

  136. There's a difference, you know. Because the marketplace Christians tend

  137. to think the Lord's word is somebody else's to do.

  138. I got to make money for the kingdom. God never

  139. asked you to make money for the kingdom. He asked

  140. you to live for Jesus. So they brought them to

  141. the magistrates and they said, these men being Jews exceedingly

  142. trouble our city. And they teach customs which are not

  143. lawful for us to do, being Romans to receive and observe.

  144. So you know what Paul and Silas were doing when

  145. they were there. They were sharing Jesus. And until the

  146. money issue became a problem, they couldn't be bothered. Do

  147. you think they were bothered about what was troubling the city?

  148. Do you think they were bothered about what was troubling

  149. the Romans or the Roman customs? They couldn't care less.

  150. Only when their pocket was hurt, then they gave them

  151. over to the authorities. So if you are being troubled,

  152. you must be hurting some bad person somewhere. Really? And

  153. that is a time to rejoice, huh? Yeah, a time

  154. to rejoice. You got to remember this, huh? Against truth,

  155. against something that is true, the enemy only has lies.

  156. And you know, lies never stand before God. This should

  157. give you encouragement, meaning that you are going to be

  158. in a position to go to God and ask Him

  159. to help you. Because lies cannot stand. So don't be

  160. surprised if many rise up against you or that you

  161. seem alone. Do you know that the multitude has always

  162. had a history of picking the wrong side? The... You know,

  163. if somebody says in your office, although you say the

  164. right thing and somebody says, everybody thinks that way, he says,

  165. you're in good company. You're in the company of the

  166. people that caused Jesus to be crucified. The crowds always

  167. pick the wrong side. So you and I, we don't

  168. go by the crowds. We go by the leading of

  169. the Holy Spirit. So sometimes you feel alone. And I'm

  170. telling you this because sometimes you will feel alone. You say,

  171. I'm doing the right thing. And how come everything seems

  172. to be going wrong? Perhaps you're getting an answer. Because

  173. you're doing the right thing. Evil is coming up against you.

  174. It's not going to stay that way. And I hope

  175. by the end of this message you get encouraged. So

  176. then the multitude rose up together against them. And the

  177. magistrates stole their clothes and commanded them to be beaten

  178. with rods. So much of drama. Drama Minggu ini. Drama. Hey,

  179. the guys did wrong. Why are you going to tear

  180. your clothes? Does it make sense or not? You see,

  181. the enemy never makes sense. I do something good and

  182. Joel comes and he tears his coat. I lose. You

  183. got to buy a new coat, isn't it? Who lost?

  184. I or him? Does it make sense or not? Ask you.

  185. Do you ever think of yourself, what's wrong with these people?

  186. I did. I'm thinking to myself, what's wrong with you?

  187. Do you know that sometimes, this is the other thing,

  188. it hurts to do the right thing. It hurts to

  189. do the right thing. See, Paul and Silas did the

  190. right thing. And what did they get for it? They

  191. got a beating. I'm going to tell you a story

  192. about my dad, which I told you before, but I

  193. will go on a little bit further. So when I

  194. shared Jesus with my dad the first time, I got

  195. punched in the face. It's going to hurt to do

  196. the right thing. He was a boxer. And he gave

  197. me one. But I want to tell you something. I

  198. was okay. I'm not a boxer. I'm not a boxer.

  199. There was no injury. There was no cut lip. There

  200. was no broken teeth. Sometimes it's going to hurt to

  201. do the right thing. Will you and I have the

  202. courage to continue? The courage not to be dissuaded because

  203. we feel a little pain. Hey guys, it's okay. Hey,

  204. I got to tell you this. I never missed church, huh?

  205. Even when I was so sick, I would just get

  206. on my bike and go to church. When I was younger,

  207. I would just go, no matter how much of fever

  208. I had, no matter, you know. You know why? Because

  209. God is greater than my fever. God is greater than

  210. my illness. God is greater. Now that I'm a little

  211. bit older, I realize one thing, lah. It's not up

  212. to me because I go to church and then I

  213. pass my coffin call to you and to your vet,

  214. share and share like, pass to everybody. That's the only

  215. reason now I would not go. Is God greater? Yes.

  216. I can have faith for myself. But you have to

  217. have faith for yourself. If one day you all come

  218. to that conclusion and say, I have faith that no

  219. matter what sick person comes into my presence, I'm okay

  220. with it because God looks after me. Well done, my

  221. good and faithful servant. You have arrived at an understanding

  222. of who your God is. And when they had laid

  223. many stripes, it wasn't a few stripes. It shows you

  224. how evil tends to attack what is good. So guys,

  225. I keep saying this. I don't know, somebody must be

  226. going through some rough stuff. If you're going through some

  227. rough stuff, it's okay. They laid many stripes to them,

  228. then they threw them into prison. commanding the jailer to

  229. keep them securely. Having given such a charge, he put

  230. them in the inner stocks in prison and fastened their

  231. feet in stocks. This tells you what your enemy wants

  232. to do to you. He wants to throw you away

  233. and he wants you to be forgotten. The enemy doesn't

  234. want you to be seen anymore. The enemy doesn't want

  235. you to be known anymore. The enemy wants you to

  236. be totally forgotten. Let me tell you, what do you

  237. think that dungeon was that they were thrown, that prison

  238. was nice? Do you think it was a nice prison?

  239. How many of you think there was a toilet there?

  240. The toilet was everywhere. It was one big toilet. When

  241. you needed to go, just go. Your feet is in

  242. prison stocks the whole day. You think what, the fellow

  243. was going to come and undo your, to take you

  244. to the toilet? No. If you have to do short call,

  245. do it there. If you have to do long call,

  246. you do it there. You sat in it. You smelled it.

  247. You lied in it. Your hands were all over it. Cockroaches, rats.

  248. Imagine this. This is exactly where they were. Why do

  249. I tell you this? Sometimes you think you're supposed to

  250. be going in a certain direction. And it seems as

  251. if God puts you exactly in the opposite. How can

  252. this be God? You ask. But I got to tell

  253. you this. God leads revival. I just buried my father yesterday.

  254. You're going to hear scripture afterwards that was promised 2,000

  255. years ago that came to pass in my life. In

  256. my life, It took 47 years for that scripture to

  257. be answered. But God is true. Because 47 years is

  258. nothing to him. It's just a dump in eternity. And

  259. after 47 years, let me tell you, my father went

  260. through some rough stuff. I would have liked that things

  261. were different. But God put me in that situation that

  262. seemed dark. So when I found out my father was ill,

  263. he had been admitted to hospital that morning, I went

  264. to see him. I said, Dad, how are you? He said,

  265. I'm in pain. I said, let me tell you something.

  266. It's very important for me to know that you will

  267. meet Jesus as a friend. And Jesus has been good

  268. to you. Jesus has taken Jennifer home. Jesus has taken

  269. Nigel home. Jesus will one day come to take you home.

  270. The thing is, will you meet him as a friend

  271. and allow him to heal your body and heal your

  272. heart and heal your spirit I said dad will you

  273. receive Jesus he said yes and that moment I let

  274. him prayer and he repeated every word then began a

  275. three-month journey he went through so many issues during that

  276. time to try and find out what was wrong with

  277. him and finally the doctor said there's nothing more we

  278. can do it for him we are sending him home

  279. he was bleeding upper tract bleeding for three months. Okay?

  280. And then roughly about one and a half months ago,

  281. that means he was sent back because the doctor said

  282. there's nothing more that can be done for him. He

  283. was 94, by the way. He is, you know, most

  284. likely he's going to go off. So he came home.

  285. But I remember he always had a good When he

  286. came home, he started sitting up and eating his breakfast.

  287. And then after that, he had another downturn about one

  288. and a half months ago. And he was sent back

  289. to the hospital. This time, when I went in, he

  290. was in emergency. So this is a big, actually emergency

  291. room is about this size, okay? Lots of hospital beds

  292. all over. So he was in the corner over there

  293. and I'm coming through the door here. And how this

  294. 94-year-old man can spot me, I have no idea. He

  295. looked from the corner. He says, Terrence. I felt a

  296. little bit embarrassed, you know, because he said, you're right

  297. in the middle of emergency. He called me. So when

  298. I went up there, you believe it or not, I'm

  299. telling you the truth. This is Klang General Hospital. All

  300. the patients were looking at me, you know, because of

  301. the way my dad shouted. And as I walked up

  302. to him, he did this. Jesus. Jesus. Declarations of faith. Twice.

  303. Twice.

  304. I didn't understand it. I would later on. So when

  305. I went up there, everybody is looking at me. So

  306. I said, Dad, how are you? I'm fine. How are you?

  307. It's my dad, huh? See, are you in pain? Yes,

  308. I'm in a little pain. And with the authority, like

  309. I own the place, I just walked up to the

  310. doctor and said, Doctor, give him morphine now. The doctor

  311. didn't argue, you know, morphine. I'll take care of it.

  312. Doctor came and gave it. And then when I went

  313. to talk to my dad, everybody's looking. I missed it.

  314. I missed it. What I should have done is, all

  315. of you, my father believes in Jesus. Do you want

  316. to believe? I missed it. I won't again. If this

  317. situation happens again, I don't care. I will share Jesus

  318. with them. I really don't care. So my dad got

  319. the morphine. He went to sleep. So started his journey

  320. in that hospital for for three weeks. In three weeks,

  321. he got a little sore on his foot. He's not diabetic,

  322. but because of the pressure sore. And that pressure sore

  323. turned necrotic. And his leg. But after one and a

  324. half months, the doctor said, there's nothing we can do.

  325. We cannot operate on him. We're sending him home again.

  326. In fact, the doctors were very surprised he came back

  327. to hospital anyway because they thought he would pass away

  328. at home. So this time he went home. Now this

  329. time when I went to see my dad, so I

  330. walked in the door and now we have his bed

  331. in the hall. He looks and he calls to me, Terrence,

  332. come here. So I came and he said, Terrence, I

  333. know you and Malcolm are praying for me. Malcolm is

  334. my younger brother. He's a pastor. He's a pastor. He said,

  335. I know you and Malcolm are praying for me. Dad,

  336. how are you? I'm okay, how are you? Do you

  337. want a drink? This is my father, you know, he's in, he's,

  338. you know. And immediately after that, he went to sleep.

  339. Came to the last day, this is Wednesday. Wednesday morning,

  340. he got up and the caregiver said, hi, handsome. He replied, hi.

  341. He was a charmer, my father. Do you want to eat?

  342. Want breakfast? Would you like some Milo? Okay. He went,

  343. he took his Milo, then he went off to sleep.

  344. So she monitors his BP. Around afternoon, his BP, you know,

  345. because I monitor it every day three or four times,

  346. so I know. And I say, ah, I think I

  347. have to take notice, it's dropping. About six o'clock, the

  348. next reading came. It had dropped much lower. I told

  349. Elder Mabel, we have to go. In my spirit, we

  350. have to go. So we left. We drove to Klang.

  351. As we were reaching the roundabout, just two minutes from

  352. the house, there was a conference call with my two

  353. other brothers and the caregiver, and the caregiver was crying.

  354. But we couldn't hear what she was saying, and we couldn't...

  355. Some of the... Thing was so bad. So I just said, guys,

  356. if you can hear me, just put down the phone.

  357. I'll go and check. So I reached the house two

  358. minutes later. He had just passed away. I missed him

  359. by two minutes. So when I told Pastor Kenneth, I

  360. missed him by two minutes. Pastor said, that is why

  361. God had you hear those two declarations of Jesus' name

  362. Because the two minutes is nothing compared to when he

  363. breathed and he declared the name of Jesus. How true

  364. is that? So now, I'm sent into the dungeon of

  365. so-called mourning. It's what everybody expects it. So I did

  366. the message on the first night of the week. In

  367. my spirit, I could not feel sad. I did not

  368. feel sad. There was no sadness on my face showing.

  369. And trust me, older people misunderstood because they expect me

  370. to be broken. I shared from the Word of God

  371. how Jesus had the home prepared for my dad and

  372. had called him. And the last words as I ended

  373. the message was, I refuse To mourn. For how can

  374. I mourn. When Jesus says to my father. Well done

  375. my good and faithful servant. Enter now. Into the joy

  376. of your Lord. Guys. When you get into a point

  377. of darkness. And seeming hopelessness. God provides a way out.

  378. And his way out is found in his word. I couldn't,

  379. until today, I cannot feel sad. Do you know why?

  380. I waited 47 years to hear him give his life

  381. to Jesus. I waited 47 years to ensure that another

  382. one down, another one with the Lord. It's quite strange. Apparently,

  383. the caregiver said on the day that he passed away,

  384. although he was asleep, in his sleep, he was mouthing

  385. the word, mummy. He was mouthing the word mummy. Now,

  386. people don't understand this because I'm the last person my

  387. grandmother saw before she slipped into a coma. And in

  388. that stage, after she had her stroke, I shared Jesus

  389. with her. And I said, do you want to accept Jesus?

  390. She said, yes. And I led her to Christ. And

  391. my grandmother then stroked my hair. That time I had hair, okay?

  392. I know it's hard to believe, but she stroked my hair.

  393. Then she slipped away into a sleep. And like my dad,

  394. three months later, she went home to be with the Lord. Guys,

  395. you got to live your life like that. You are

  396. a battery. That when somebody needs Jesus, you're there. When

  397. you need Jesus, trust me, He's there. Paul and Silas,

  398. what did they do? It says here, by midnight, Paul

  399. and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God. Do

  400. you think they had fallen to pieces because they were

  401. sitting in their own mess? No. No. And the prisoners

  402. were listening to them. Guys, God sent them into the

  403. darkest of places so the people who couldn't, the world

  404. couldn't be bothered with would hear Jesus. He sent them

  405. into the place where those that people wanted to forget

  406. Jesus could minister to them. See, it's not always the well-dressed.

  407. We always love, truth be told, we always love to

  408. witness the well-dressed people. But do you know where Jesus

  409. sent Paul and Silas to? To share with those that

  410. people wanted to forget. And suddenly, suddenly, It's sudden for us.

  411. It's not for God. You know, whenever anything happens suddenly,

  412. it's not because God is suddenly, you know. God is

  413. very planned. It's God's perfect timing. For us, it's suddenly

  414. because we are not privileged to that information. You want

  415. to be privileged to that information? Can. You have to

  416. get close to God. Do you know that if you

  417. get close to God, things will not be suddenly to you?

  418. How do you know this? Is there scripture to prove it?

  419. Look at Abraham. Abraham was very thick with God. Right?

  420. Very close to God. When God wanted to do something

  421. to Sodom and Gomorrah, he had a discussion with Abraham.

  422. Was Abraham surprised? Was it suddenly for Abraham? No. In

  423. God's perfect timing. And God will let you know. The

  424. closer you get to God, the more you get to listen. Suddenly,

  425. there was a great earthquake that the foundations of the

  426. prison were shaken. And immediately, the doors were opened and

  427. everyone's chains were loosed. I also want to tell you

  428. another small testimony. So, I said yesterday, the day before

  429. yesterday was the day of the second week. So by

  430. the time we got back, it was about 12.30 in

  431. the night. And one would think you can just go

  432. back home and sleep and rest. And praise the Lord,

  433. I was very tired. And driving back, maybe a little callous.

  434. And a truck banged into my car. You know. And

  435. I was thinking to myself, oh no, my car is gone.

  436. Because this was one huge truck. Huge. Huge. But somehow

  437. we were calm. I remember myself very calm. So I

  438. moved to the side of the road. Look, my door

  439. was gone. So I looked at the guy. Because actually

  440. what was happening was some road work and they were

  441. shifting us all towards inner lanes. So as we were moving,

  442. the truck hit us. So anyway, I looked at the guy.

  443. He says, you know, I was... So I said, okay.

  444. We took photographs. I shook hands with him. Shook hands

  445. with him. and said, we'll just go and make the report.

  446. That was it. By interaction with him, it was about

  447. two minutes. We went home. We slept whatever way we could.

  448. And yesterday, after I finished yesterday, I went to the

  449. police station to make a report. I wanted to tell

  450. you this. The Word of God knows your heart. The Word.

  451. So my reading for that day was, you know, um...

  452. The reading was, all things work together for good to

  453. them that love God and are called according to his purpose.

  454. I said, wow, God, it's going to be okay. So

  455. I told her, maybe it's going to be okay. So

  456. when I went to the police station, I made a report. Finally,

  457. I went to the sergeant. Sergeant showed the camcorder. Then

  458. the sergeant said, actually, you've got to understand one thing.

  459. If the guy is on the street, and even if

  460. you put your signal or whatever is up front, even

  461. if you move into his lane, you are at fault.

  462. Under normal circumstances, I will have to summon you. I

  463. will have to find you. But the driver of the van,

  464. the driver of the truck said, he doesn't want to

  465. make an issue of it. He's just doing it for

  466. record purposes. So I want you to know, I'm not

  467. going to find you. And after that, We had a conversation.

  468. She said, what are you? I said, I'm Serani. You

  469. can speak Malay or not? I said, I can try.

  470. So I spoke to her in Malay. And I said,

  471. people laugh when I speak Malay. She said, why? I said,

  472. because I learned Malay from the textbook. So when I speak,

  473. I speak like textbook. So she laughed. We talked. We chatted.

  474. She found out about my father. She gave condolences. And

  475. we had a very nice discussion. And after that, I

  476. told her, Thank you for making this experience pleasant. Nobody

  477. likes to come and make police reports. And it's always

  478. a very stressful thing. But you have made it so pleasurable.

  479. Thank you so very much. She went with a smile.

  480. She says, I'm sorry once again for your death. And

  481. that's my... I mean, God knows, right? God knows. So

  482. at midnight, Paul and Silas were singing. You know what

  483. is this? Singing psalms. And hymns, you know what it is?

  484. You know what was that praying? That praying comes from

  485. the word prosikomai. And it gives the idea of I'm

  486. exchanging what I have for what you will give me.

  487. So at that moment when Paul and Silas were praying,

  488. they were exchanging their circumstance. Let me tell you what

  489. a horrible place they were in. They were exchanging and

  490. what was God doing? God was going to come through

  491. with His blessing. And what was His blessing? Suddenly, suddenly

  492. the gates, there's a great earthquake so that the foundations

  493. of the prison were shaken. The very, very thing that

  494. keeps you behind bars, that was the thing that was shaken.

  495. That was the thing that God destroyed. The thing that

  496. holds you to ransom, that was what was destroyed. And

  497. the doors were open. They were free now. And the

  498. chains were loosed. What chains? The things that keep you down.

  499. The things that prevent you from being the best. The

  500. things that discourage you. The things that Don't allow you

  501. to be free. And you're always at the back of

  502. your mind, got some kind of worry. And I want

  503. you to know, this is what I mean, that when

  504. God sends you, He keeps that heart revived. What is

  505. that revived heart? Despite your circumstance and situation, you can

  506. still praise and sing. You can still worship Him. Hey,

  507. the conditions were horrid. You and I, we are in

  508. our own soil. Can we worship the Lord? Paul and

  509. Silas are teaching us something, you know. They're teaching us

  510. no matter what your circumstance is, you can be in

  511. an attitude of praise. You can be in an attitude

  512. of worship. Hey, all the people who were, all the

  513. Christians who've been put in prison during the communist times

  514. in Russia, you think their situation was good? They're encouraged

  515. by this word. No matter how bad the mess is,

  516. you can still worship the Lord. No matter how bad

  517. your situation is, perfect time to praise the Lord. That's

  518. what it is. And the people of the prison are

  519. waking from his sleep. The people that try to destroy

  520. you suddenly come to a realization, you belong to God.

  521. Oh my, what have I done? See, revival also breaks

  522. through the enemy's stronghold on your enemies. See, you got

  523. to understand, huh? Your enemies are your enemies not because

  524. they want to be, you know. Because there's something holding them.

  525. When you break through your situation, you break theirs as well.

  526. And the keeper of the prison waking, he wanted to

  527. kill himself. He assumed that supposing the prisoners had fled,

  528. drew his sword and was about to kill himself. But

  529. Paul said with a loud voice, do yourself no harm.

  530. The prison doors were open. Can I ask you a question?

  531. What kept the prisoners from running away? Got internet? What

  532. about Instagram? Facebook? Skype? Oh, many of you don't know

  533. what Skype is. WhatsApp? You think when the prisoners ran

  534. out of prison, they can still catch them? Got radio? Hey!

  535. When they run out of prison, you go to the

  536. next town already, nobody knows who you are. Once you're

  537. out of that prison, you're gone, you're free. Why didn't

  538. the prisoners run? Did you ever ask yourself that question?

  539. Why didn't they run from that horrid, filthy place? Because

  540. they were free. Their spirits were free The things, their

  541. thoughts that kept them captive were broken and shaken. And

  542. the things that held them, their beliefs or their lack

  543. of understanding or their lack of faith, those chains fell off.

  544. And suddenly they can see, I'm free. Their spirits are free.

  545. Do you know that when your spirit is free, your

  546. surroundings don't count anymore? My scripture says that conviction by

  547. the manifestation of the presence of God, people will stop

  548. running away from God. If we will exchange our ideas

  549. for His and start praising Him in our pits, people

  550. will see God's hand and it will convict them. How

  551. wonderful is this? People who are shackled and chained are

  552. so free in their spirit that they don't need to

  553. run anymore. My daughter visits someone in prison. She's been

  554. in prison for 18 years due to a drug offense.

  555. And she's an Indonesian, but she has learned English and

  556. she's studied the Bible and she is such a firm believer.

  557. And my daughter always says, I've been a Christian for

  558. so many years, but she teaches me so many things

  559. about Christ that I could never see in any other

  560. way because she is such a believer and she has

  561. been responsible for praying so many people into freedom. Their

  562. sentience commuted. And then she says, I do not know

  563. why mine has not come through yet because she's supposed

  564. to be in prison for 38 years or something like

  565. that or something. but she holds firm in her faith

  566. in Jesus Christ. And her spirit is free. Paul and

  567. Silas were sent into that prison because God wanted those

  568. people whom others didn't want to know, He wanted to

  569. free them from the burdens of their spirit and their

  570. soul and their situation. Then, He called for a light

  571. and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas, and he

  572. brought them out and said, Sirs, what must I do

  573. to be saved? So they said, Believe on the Lord

  574. Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.

  575. Then they spoke the word of the Lord to all

  576. who were in his house. Guys, I'm so grateful. to

  577. Paul and Silas for what they did. Because of what

  578. they did, it caused the Lord to speak a promise.

  579. You and your household will be saved. So can you

  580. understand why 47 years and then my dad gets saved?

  581. Why it's such a blessing? How many of you have

  582. unsaved loved ones? Do you want them saved? You must

  583. remain faithful. You must believe. You must praise. You must worship.

  584. And you got to pray. And you know what? Your

  585. family members have no choice. Whether they like it or not,

  586. they will be saved. Because that is the promise that

  587. God has given us. If Paul and Silas were not

  588. in prison, the whole family would have been lost. Who

  589. is going to be saved by your troubles? Who is

  590. going to be saved by your troubles and by doing

  591. the right thing? Guys, you're in trouble. Praise the Lord. God,

  592. who am I going to save? Who's going to be

  593. saved through this testimony? You know, if that's the way

  594. you live, trust me, the enemy will stay far away

  595. from you. Because he knows every time he hits you,

  596. ten people come to the Lord, he will stop hitting you,

  597. trust me. Guys, it's in the Word. It's in the Word.

  598. And he took them that very same hour that night

  599. and washed their stripes and immediately he and his family

  600. were baptised. And when he had brought them into his house,

  601. he set food before them and he rejoiced, having believed

  602. in God with all his household. Wow. Let me tell you,

  603. you think the story ends because somebody else gets saved?

  604. God has forgotten about you? No. What the scripture says,

  605. he took them, he dressed their wounds, he cleaned them,

  606. And then after that, they had a celebration. Guys, you

  607. think God doesn't want to celebrate? He wants to celebrate,

  608. trust me. He wants to celebrate with you. You do

  609. God's work, He's not going to leave you alone. He's

  610. going to celebrate with you. He's going to comfort you.

  611. He's going to heal your wounds. And He will celebrate

  612. with you. I've been sharing this word now for a

  613. few weeks. And I realize, in fact, the second song,

  614. first song or second song we sing had some verses

  615. that were connected with this. All right? So someone here

  616. is going to be blessed by that word. Just put

  617. it to practice, guys, and see it take place. Put

  618. it to practice and see it take place. You know,

  619. as people come to the Lord, right? More and more,

  620. they come to the Lord. My message on the first

  621. night of the week was like an evangelistic message, you know.

  622. Because I know there are people down there who do

  623. not know Jesus. And as far as I'm concerned, my

  624. father is already with the Lord. They are the ones

  625. who need to know. They are the ones who need

  626. to know. Guys, I hope this message finds a place

  627. in your heart.

  628. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
