Welcome, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the Psalms Bible Study.
-
I'm so excited to be here with you, Ray. So,
-
Psalm 25. I haven't been able to read it today.
-
I've been pretty busy. You know, I was in the
-
middle of.
-
You didn't study?
-
No, I didn't study. Well, I mean, you witnessed my day.
-
Everything was going fine.
-
I'm kidding.
-
I'm kidding.
-
I'm kidding. Yes.
-
It's been an eventful day.
-
People bought a lot of meat today.
-
Yep.
-
It's just kind of an oxymoron in a way because
-
they're hunters, so aren't they getting meat?
-
Yeah.
-
I don't understand why they....
-
Yeah, you'd think, no, they're not hunting for meat, Rachel.
-
They're hunting for trophies. Yeah, believe me, anybody that can...
-
We don't need to get into that. You're getting off topic.
-
Yeah, we are.
-
We're just meant to be like it.
-
So, here, let's change the topic. So, why do you
-
think this chapter has the same amount of verses as
-
Revelation has chapters?
-
What? I didn't even know.
-
Okay, how many chapters are in Revelation? Didn't look. Oh.
-
Let's see here.
-
22. How many verses are in this chapter? 22.
-
22.
-
I didn't know. Well, you did know.
-
How would I know to do that?
-
This is a good place to start. Yes, yes, you
-
did know. Yes, you did. Don't say you haven't read
-
Revelation before. You know there's 22 chapters in Revelation. You know. Yes,
-
you do know it.
-
I don't.
-
And you've read Psalm 25 before.
-
Yes, you do.
-
Just because you couldn't recall it to memory does not
-
mean you didn't know it. Yes, you did know it. Right?
-
I didn't have understanding. Oh. Oh.
-
So what do you mean you didn't have understanding? You
-
know how many.
-
I didn't understand what I knew. So why would I
-
be able to recall it? You can only recall it
-
if you understand what you know.
-
Now, wait a minute. This is two separate sets of data.
-
You knew independently... That there were 22 verses in Psalms,
-
and you knew independently that there were 22 chapters in Revelation,
-
just you hadn't put the two together. But if you
-
would have just asked me, you would have just asked me,
-
how many chapters are in Revelation?
-
I would be like, I don't know. If you would
-
have asked me, how many verses are in Psalm 25?
-
I'd be like, I don't know. Let me look.
-
Like, why would I memorize that if I could just
-
open it up and look?
-
Rachel, you didn't need to ask. We could have put
-
you under hypnosis and you would have been able to
-
tell this category. There's 22 verses. We have proven this.
-
This has been in the past. Yes, you do know.
-
You weren't able to. But you differentiated it a little bit.
-
You said that not that you could recall. It had
-
nothing to do with recall. It had something to do
-
with understanding. That's something completely different.
-
Well, I don't.
-
Know. I think that when you understand something, then you're
-
able to.
-
Remember it better.
-
Bring it to your memory. Well....
-
Because, like, okay.
-
Oops.
-
Let me just say, like, if there was a crime, whatever,
-
you know, somebody... Somebody had their eyes on the back
-
of a vehicle, but they didn't understand what they were
-
looking at until after the crime, right? And so then
-
they have the psychologist come and help them remember the
-
license plate number because they couldn't just recall it off
-
the top of their head because they didn't understand what
-
they were looking at at the time.
-
But they did know it. You're proving the point. I
-
already said that psychologists have proven this. Yes, you do
-
know it. Yes, you do. You do know it.
-
So, in other words, you're saying that even if you
-
read the scripture and you don't understand it when you
-
read it, it's still important.
-
If you believe it. If you believe it, it will
-
take on a permanent memory in your mind. You will
-
be able to recall it.
-
But what happens if you've never read it?
-
If you've never read it, then no.
-
So there's no way you can recall it at any
-
point in time. Even if you're put under hypnosis, you've
-
never opened up the book of Revelations and read it through,
-
you would never be able to recall what it says.
-
Exactly, honey, exactly.
-
Wow.
-
And you just don't understand that the hypnotist in this
-
case of memory recall is the Holy Spirit. It is
-
the Holy Spirit.
-
That's an allegory. I don't recommend letting yourself be hypnotized.
-
This is not an endorsement to you. Let me just
-
do a disclaimer. Maranatha Ministries does not support Letting yourself
-
be hypnotized for any reason whatsoever.
-
Not for any reason whatsoever. Just a disclaimer there. And
-
I'm sorry that I triggered you with the word hypnotist.
-
I should have said psychologist. I should have said shrink
-
or whatever. But anyway. So yes, our enemies are sitting
-
all around us. So yeah, you're right. So anyway, it
-
talks about here. The paths of your soul. The paths
-
of your psyche.
-
It's.
-
Just trust me.
-
It's there.
-
So. It is saying. In the opening verses. When you align.
-
How do I say that?
-
Because we're not doing yoga here. We're not doing that.
-
We're not doing that.
-
Either. I'm just in a pickle. I don't know. It
-
just doesn't matter what I say. You're going to turn
-
it against me. Okay?
-
I'm just putting out these disclaimers there. People are getting
-
us the wrong way.
-
Oh my God. Okay, so when you've been born again,
-
when you've been baptized in the Holy Spirit, you no
-
longer get your marching orders from the physical instincts. You
-
switch over and you get your You're operating instructions from
-
the spiritual instincts.
-
Galatians 5, walking in step with the spirit.
-
Yes. And it's not yoga. All right. So when you
-
align yourself with the Holy Spirit, this is what it
-
says in the very first verse. When I, I mean,
-
technically when it says, when I take my spirit, And
-
set my spirit up. These things happen. We haven't even
-
read it yet. But I promise you. Oh my goodness. So.
-
What's your thoughts on this chapter Rachel?
-
My thoughts on this chapter. Hmm. Well for me it
-
was very personal. So. Spoke to me on a completely
-
different level. Even though I knew that you were going to.
-
see the prophecy of it, but I was just reading
-
it for my own self, but it was very personal.
-
Yes, knowing your history, you could certainly take this pretty
-
personal on every level. With your physical family, with church family,
-
on every level, your in-laws, on every level, you could
-
you can definitely associated with this and well I guess I.
-
Better not but not just this because it's so relatable
-
and then after this we're going to be going right
-
into 1 Samuel 25.
-
Which is.
-
Completely all about God preparing our way And so, if anything,
-
this is all about reminding ourselves about how God has
-
and is and will prepare our way. And we can
-
trust in Him. We can. We can absolutely trust in Him. Right.
-
Right. Amen. So, before we go any further, and I've
-
got to say this, the opening verse is, O Lord,
-
to you, O Lord, I lift my soul. This only
-
applies to those that have been born again, that's getting,
-
that's been baptized in the Holy Spirit. If you haven't
-
done this, this doesn't apply to you. You're going to
-
be thrown to the wolves. There's no other way to
-
put it. Um, You will not tread on serpents or scorpions.
-
They'll tread on you. Because it's one or the other.
-
It's not both.
-
It's one or the other. I remember back in the day,
-
back when it was camp, and we were, it was
-
the second level. So when we were in youth camp,
-
Holiness Church, you get halfway through the week, And you
-
go to the next level of sanctification, right?
-
Right.
-
Because a lot of us already had come there. We
-
were saved, right? So we were seeing other people, our
-
friends and different people being saved. But then halfway through
-
the week, then they get to us and talking about sanctification.
-
And basically in the holiness church, they believe, is this
-
is when you surrender everything to God. That you give
-
up everything about your life, about who you are. Everything
-
is His now. And you are making that choice to
-
do that.
-
And I remember when.
-
I did that, and it was literally this verse. My
-
soul was lifted up and I felt it. It was
-
like a burden being lifted. And that's what they would
-
call it. The burdens of this world were lifted away.
-
And you just... I mean, there's no description. There's no
-
word for the emotion.
-
Felt there.
-
I don't think there's any language that has a word
-
for that emotion. But it's an emotion that we felt.
-
And some of us were crying, but it wasn't necessarily
-
tears of joy or sadness. It was just this unnamed emotion.
-
Okay.
-
And so this is, you're talking about, This is not
-
for you if you're not born again. This begins, this
-
chapter begins in that moment.
-
Yes.
-
In that moment.
-
What you're describing.
-
When you're born again, this is where this, this is where,
-
this is where this, this is verse 1.
-
That moment. Yeah, that's what.
-
I was saying. So we call it born again. The
-
Holiness Church calls it being sanctified. Sanctified. There's a lot
-
of words for it.
-
One thing is for sure. What you're feeling could not
-
have been super... I mean, hunger could not have overridden it,
-
could it?
-
No, you wouldn't know that you really felt hungry in
-
that moment.
-
You would not have felt hunger, right? But yet you're
-
associating it with those types of things. And that's what
-
you mean. In that moment, the burden was your natural
-
physical instincts. Hunger, thirst, yada, yada, yada. Your natural physical
-
desires were overridden in that moment by something else. And
-
until you've had that, you can read the words of
-
Psalm 25, but that's all you're going to do is
-
just read them. And when you read them, you won't
-
read them as if you're reading a dictionary. You'll read
-
them like you're reading a Facebook post. They won't be
-
real to you. They won't be.
-
It's always difficult. They won't be incarnate to you. They
-
won't be corporeal to you.
-
Let me see it more like.
-
It won't there's a point where God's words live in
-
become part of you they're.
-
Living in you yes yes so alright Rachel I think
-
we've done what we could do for that for those
-
that have not been born again so alright read it
-
until you've got something to say about.
-
It to you oh Lord I lift up my soul
-
O my God, I trust in you. Let me not
-
be ashamed. Let not my enemies triumph over me. Indeed,
-
let no one who waits on you be ashamed. Let
-
those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause. Show me
-
your ways, O Lord. Teach me your paths. Lead me
-
in your truth and teach me, for you are the
-
God of my salvation. On you I wait all the day. Remember,
-
O Lord, your tender mercies and your loving kindness, for
-
they are from old. Do not remember the sins of
-
my youth nor my transgressions. According to your mercy, remember me.
-
For your goodness' sake, O Lord. Good and upright is
-
the Lord, therefore he teaches sinners in the way. The
-
humble he guides in justice, and the humble he teaches
-
his way. All the paths of the Lord are mercy
-
and truth. To keep to such as keep his covenant
-
and his testimonies. For your name's sake, O Lord, pardon
-
my iniquity, for it is great.
-
So, you don't want to stop and talk about any
-
of this?
-
Oh, I just....
-
You're going too far.
-
I'm doing... Well, you could have stopped me. Okay, so... Hmm.
-
Don't say you don't have anything to say.
-
About that okay so um show me your ways oh
-
lord teach me your paths lead me in your truth
-
and teach me for you are the god of my
-
salvation on you i wait all the day which day.
-
According to the word, there's only one day. That's the
-
day of the Lord. There's only one day. That is
-
a trigger phrase, especially in Hebrew. There's only one day,
-
his day.
-
Because if it was really all the day, every day,
-
it would have said all the days of my life,
-
like in Psalm 23, Psalm 23, 6. Where it says,
-
surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days
-
of my life. So if it was like, on you
-
I wait all the day, like meaning like every day,
-
all day long, then it would have said that, right?
-
Right.
-
So this verse 4 is talking about the day, the
-
great day of the Lord.
-
And the whole word is constructed upon getting to that
-
day that day he's going to do something else but
-
anyway the only way there's only one thing that will
-
lead you in his truth that will teach you there's
-
only one thing that will do this there's only one
-
way you can know The Lord's way. Now think about this.
-
Read verse 4 again, Rachel.
-
Show me your ways, oh Lord. Teach me your paths.
-
Okay. Just so everybody knows. This is talking about Calvary.
-
Okay. If you.
-
You know there's so much I could say here.
-
But.
-
Once you have eyes that can see, you understand what
-
he's talking about. You understand why Jesus said, hey, you
-
have to pick up your cross and follow me. This
-
is what he was talking about. And people don't stop
-
to think, okay, lead me in your truth. You know,
-
show me your ways, Lord. You can't go where God is.
-
How are you supposed to go in the way of
-
he who sits upon the throne? You can't. You can't
-
go that way. But repeatedly, on more than one occasion,
-
before the... Look, this is how everybody was supposed to
-
know he was going to be crucified. Because he kept
-
telling his own disciples, you're going to have to pick
-
up your cross and follow me. Where did he go?
-
He went to Calvary. He sacrificed himself.
-
Right?
-
That's what being born again is. You talked about it already.
-
You have to put off Your natural carnal instincts.
-
Well, you can't. We can't really do that ourselves. God
-
has to do that for us. That comes second. But
-
in order for that to happen, you have to be
-
willing to give up everything.
-
Everything.
-
Everything. Pride. Pride. your job if God wants it to
-
be different or to take it, everything you own, your family,
-
you have to be willing to let go of whatever
-
it is that God wants to, you give it to him.
-
You're giving it to him. Okay, so my house, God,
-
you can take it, but if you choose to let
-
me be able to Keep this house. It's still yours.
-
And it's everything in it. I'm giving it to you.
-
It belongs to you. You know. The food that's in
-
my refrigerator. Is yours. All of the money that I have.
-
Is yours. If you want to take all of it.
-
You can. And I trust you.
-
I trust you.
-
But if you don't take it, I will be thankful
-
that I have it and I will still consider it yours.
-
Okay, let's talk about this. Let's talk about something that's really,
-
really close to home.
-
They don't
-
get a new car every year for any frivolous reasons.
-
They only do so for pride's sake. Now, that's a fact.
-
That's beyond contestation. So, this is a very difficult thing
-
you're talking about. Okay? Because, now, I can take you
-
to many churches. The people running those churches... They won't
-
be caught dead in last year's model. You know that.
-
Well, it's not just because of that. There's a lot
-
of things connected with that. It's social standing, too. They
-
do certain jobs, certain social standings. Yes, you do have
-
to have a brand new car that's that year. Yes,
-
you do. And so this is where it comes into play.
-
You have to be willing to give all of it up,
-
not just the car.
-
You stop and leave.
-
If you... You have to be willing to give.
-
God your job. Yeah. You must stop living for social standards.
-
And you must start living for God. Right.
-
You shed all of that off. Every bit of it.
-
Every bit of it. And it's individual to each person.
-
So I can't... It's not really fair to specifically say
-
because it is different. But if you really... If God
-
is drawing you right now, stop and pray. Focus and
-
say to God, God, what am I holding back? What
-
am I holding back? What is it that I have?
-
Because sometimes we're holding things back we don't realize we're
-
holding back. So we say, God, show me if what
-
I'm holding back so I can have it so I
-
can know to make sure it's yours. And is a very,
-
very important to this is what it means to dedicate
-
your life to Christ. It is what it means. This
-
is what it means to dedicate. This is more than
-
just praying the prayer that Jesus, I believe that you're
-
the Christ. This is that next step.
-
Are you done? This is described in verses 8 and 9.
-
You need to know this, ladies and gentlemen. If you've
-
been water baptized to a congregation and you can vote
-
at your church, this is talking to you. Read verses
-
8 and 9 again.
-
Good and upright is the Lord. Therefore, he teaches sinners
-
in the way. The humble he guides in justice. And
-
the humble he teaches his way. All the paths of
-
the Lord are mercy and truth. To such as keep
-
his covenant and his testimonies. For your name's sake, O Lord,
-
pardon my iniquities. it is great stop I'm.
-
Going to read the verses to you this is categorically
-
talking about he painfully said he teaches sinners but yet
-
only the humble does he teach his way okay only
-
to those who keep his covenant and his testimonies is
-
your pardon does he pardon your iniquity This is categorically
-
talking about Hebrews chapter 10, starting in verse 26. For
Hebrews 10 chapter mention
-
if we sin willfully after we've received the knowledge of
-
the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins.
-
So he's talking about after you've been water baptized, you're
-
in the congregation. Now you can vote in your church.
-
You continue to sin willfully. This is what Psalms 25
-
is talking about. Okay, so let's continue. If you continue
-
to sin willfully, verse 27, but a certain fearful expectation
-
of judgment and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.
-
Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies without mercy on
-
the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much
-
worse punishment do you suppose will be he thought worthy
-
who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the
-
blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, a
-
common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace. That's what
-
Psalm 25 was always trying to tell you.
-
Can I just say something that I noticed here?
-
Yes.
-
When it says good and upright is the Lord, therefore
-
he teaches sinners in the way. The humble he guides
-
in justice and the humble he teaches his way. All
-
the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth. I
-
just picture us walking along a path and we've got
-
the humble who he's guiding in justice and he's teaching
-
them his way and then the sinners he teaches in
-
the way he's still teaching them as they're going he's
-
hoping that while they're walking along they have accepted that
-
he's Christ so he's continuing to teach them he's still
-
hoping Because he loves them. Because all of his paths
-
are mercy and truth.
-
Right.
-
So he's still hoping. So when you have accepted Christ
-
as being the Savior of your life, and you're not
-
born again.
-
Mm-hmm.
-
You're not born again yet. So you're still sinning. Mm-hmm.
-
You're still sinning. But God sees that there is hope
-
for you. Mm-hmm. When you sin, when there is, when
-
bad things are happening to you because of your sin,
-
there are things happening. There is spiritual warfare happening that
-
you are being affected by and it is touching you
-
in a serious way. You've got You've got things happening,
-
things going on. God is allowing you to be punished
-
in this life for your sinning because he knows there's
-
hope for you.
-
Yes. What is Rachel trying to say? Somebody who wins
-
the lottery, they ain't got no hope. someone who has
-
clawed their way to the top and now they're the
-
president of the company, they're damned already. What Rachel's trying
-
to say is that those that have entered the body
-
of Christ and continues to sin willfully, you will know
-
they have hope if they routinely have catastrophes. Okay? That's
-
what she's trying... And you can tell the difference... In
-
verse 12, that's what verse 12 is from. So you've
-
got the sinners and those who have been born again
-
on this same planet. Read verse 12 and it tells
-
you how to tell the difference between the two.
-
Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall
-
he teach in the way he chooses. He himself shall
-
dwell in prosperity and his descendants shall inherit the earth.
-
The secret of the Lord is with those who fear him.
-
Amen. Praise God.
-
And he will show them his covenant.
-
Amen. He will indeed.
-
So here's where I was seeing some. So verse 10,
-
all the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth
-
to such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. And
-
then the secret of the Lord is with those who
-
fear him, and he will show them his covenant. What
-
is the difference there? Showing them keeping his covenant and
-
then he showing them his covenant.
-
Boy, that's a big question, Rach.
-
Because this is like the secret of the Lord is
-
with those who fear him.
-
What's the secret? Well, honey, I've read it. I mean,
-
I've already read it. I've already read it in Hebrews
-
chapter 10, verses 26 through 29. I've already read it.
-
So when I was reading, keeping his covenant and his testimonies,
-
I'm thinking communion in the gospel.
-
You live your life as he lived his, right? Jesus
-
Christ didn't practice iniquity, Rachel. This plainly said, and we've
-
read it. It was up there in that verse, and
-
I did share it. Okay, verse 11. For your name's accepted.
-
Pardon my iniquity, for my iniquity is great. He is saying,
-
only those people who stop the iniquity will have their
-
iniquity pardoned. And those people will be those who fear
-
the Lord. So, you only know the secret You can
-
only know the secret if he teaches you his way.
-
It's circular in its event horizon. An event horizon denotes
-
a point in time, but time is circular, so this
-
is really a circular event horizon. You must have one
-
to have the other, but they can't see it because
-
they're too busy lying to their spouses. They're too busy,
-
you know.
-
But this is, yeah. And all of this is, it's
-
really just a trap that chains you.
-
Yes.
-
If you're, you don't even know it until you have
-
that moment where you finally have said, God, take it all.
-
And it is lifted. And you are able to look
-
back down on, on your, old life and see that
-
it was all chains and weights on you. And it
-
was a big spider web of.
-
Just struggle. Yes.
-
And it's all gone in that moment. You just don't realize.
-
Well, let's get back to the car.
-
You're right.
-
You had to have a brand new car because you
-
can't have that position at work without the new car.
-
So once you get rid of that car, okay, once
-
you realize, I don't have to pay, you know, $ 500,
-
you know, $ 750 a month for a car payment. I
-
don't have to do that. No, you don't. You don't
-
have to do that. All of a sudden, that entire
-
web of lies collapses. So, Now that you don't have
-
to pay $ 750 for a car payment, now you don't
-
have to undermine your co-worker to try to take his job.
-
You don't have to do that anymore. So you don't
-
have to lie and deceive and cheat. You don't have
-
to do any of those. The whole thing collapses. The
-
whole thing collapses in on itself. The whole thing collapses.
-
That's what it's trying to say. And these people are
-
walking with us, but they don't get it. And they'll
-
gnash their teeth at you if you tell them. They'll
-
hate your guts.
-
It's because this beginning verse, or verse two.
-
Yeah.
-
Oh, my God. I trust in you. I trust you.
-
Yes.
-
I can give this to you. I know you're not
-
going to let me to be destroyed. I trust you.
-
I know you're not going to let me be ashamed
-
in front of my enemies or let them triumph over me.
-
I know you're not. I know that you love me.
-
But there's only one way to do that. You realize.
-
And that is really... I mean, when I'm interacting with
-
people who are... Up there, yeah. Trust is really one
-
of the biggest hurdles there is in this. Do you
-
really trust God? Do you really trust Him to be good?
-
No, they don't.
-
Not even a little bit. Do they really believe, verse 8,
-
good and upright is the Lord?
-
No.
-
And this is, I know they don't, but they can't
-
get to that point.
-
Yes, they can't.
-
And may He show them through us that He can
-
be trusted. Those of us who do trust Him, may
-
He show those who haven't trusted Him yet that He's
-
worthy to be trusted. And that he is good and upright.
-
And he does want good for us. He's not going
-
to crush us. Not going to do that.
-
Okay. And there's no real point for me to say
-
anything more. So anyway, you might as well pick it
-
up in verse 15. That's where he left off, right?
-
My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for he shall
-
pluck my feet out of the net.
-
You just talked about that, this web. Right. Yeah, that's
-
what he calls it here. Anyway, 16.
-
Turn yourself to me and have mercy on me, for
-
I am desolate and afflicted. The troubles of my heart
-
have enlarged. Bring me out of my distresses. Look upon
-
my affliction and my pain and forgive my sins. Consider
-
my enemies, for they are many, and they hate me
-
with cruel hatred. Keep my soul and deliver me. Let
-
me not be ashamed for I put my trust in you.
-
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me for I wait for you.
-
Redeem Israel, O God, out of all their troubles. Okay.
-
By the way, he will do that On his great day,
-
that's when he actually does it. So, okay. What, let me,
-
you know, I'm a pretty good physics teacher, right, baby?
-
I mean, when it comes to the physical sciences, I
-
can really, really bring it home, right? So what this
-
is talking about is like having a compass, right? And
-
the compass, the needle, always points to magnetic north, right?
-
Mm-hmm.
-
And you know all your paths off that compass, don't you?
-
When you're born again, you take the compass and throw
-
it away and get an altimeter.
-
What's an altimeter?
-
It tells you what your elevation is above sea level. Okay.
-
It tells you your elevation above the dirt. It tells
-
you how high you are above ground level or how
-
far below you are ground level. That's what you have
-
to do. This is how I've taught it to children.
-
Gave them my compass. You know I have, well, I
-
have several in the basement. Anyway, and it really comes
-
home when I showed my sons this. Taught them how
-
to use it. Took them outside. Taught him how to
-
shoot azimuth. And then I told him, okay, let's talk
-
about something else. You have to take that compass. This
-
is the physical world. Throw that away and get yourself
-
an altimeter. Only an altimeter can tell you how high
-
you are in the spirit. So when you try to
-
teach these things to people, well, we know proof of this, right?
-
We have exogenital proof what can happen when you do this.
-
They can.
-
Expel you, you know, spew you out like Jonah got
-
spewed out of the mouth of the whale, right? But...
-
Big fish. So it is that simple. It's that simple, people.
-
And if you don't understand it.
-
If you don't understand it, you need to look, you
-
need to memorize. You need to memorize Matthew chapter 26
-
verses 26 through 29 and Hebrews chapter 10 verses 26
-
through 29. You need to memorize them together, put them
-
together and drill it into your head. You need to
-
convince yourself that's true because until you overcome these lies,
-
until you overcome this jealousy, But all these.
-
Things just make it hard. It really makes it so
-
much harder.
-
Makes it worse.
-
This isn't really hard.
-
No.
-
It's not really hard. That's why Jesus said it's not
-
about increasing our faith. It's about whether or not we
-
have it. We don't have to have a lot of faith.
-
It's not about that.
-
It's just do you have it or do you not
-
have it? You just need it. Yes.
-
It's like water. Look, water that has taken on one
-
oxygen molecule, the whole water body is oxygenated. I know
-
people can't, they can't calculate that. This is why, what happens, Rachel,
-
if we go over there to your fish tank and
-
unplug the water pumps or the air pumps, what happens?
-
They die. You suffocate them. There is no, the water
-
has no way to get oxygenated Because they don't have
-
wave action. That's how the ocean gets oxygenated, people. If
-
you see white caps, that's God putting the spirit in
-
the water. But I can explain this to the cows
-
come home. I can explain it on an astrophysical level.
-
I can give you massive amounts of information about it.
-
But if you don't believe it, if you've rejected it,
-
you're You have insulted the spirit of grace. You have
-
no hope of being born again.
-
And you don't have, like, you don't even have to
-
know any of those things.
-
You can just trust God.
-
Yes. You really, you really can just trust him.
-
Right.
-
People went for thousands or hundreds of years not having
-
access to a Bible. Yeah. And they just trusted God.
-
Oh.
-
And God was with them.
-
Yes, because they had picked up their cross. So they
-
stopped living for, they put down their cross, which was
-
a new car, which was a better job, which was
-
a more expensive house. They threw that cross away and
-
picked up his cross and started following him.
-
I'm talking about before they had Bibles and cars there.
-
I'm trying to tell these people the difference.
-
Right.
-
Yeah, you can stop what you're doing. You can start,
-
you can pick up his cross and follow him and
-
just stop lying.
-
When you think about the people in Rome who accepted
-
Christ and they lost everything. They lost everything.
-
Citizenship.
-
They lost their land. They lost citizenship. They lost their safety.
-
Well, that was a key part of it. Once you
-
lost your citizenship, you lost all the above.
-
And yet they were coming to Christ in droves. They
-
didn't have the Bible.
-
That's right. And you realize what they were, what these
-
Romans were, were nationalists. I'm not lying to you. I
-
know my history. I can tell you these things in Greek, okay?
-
They were Roman nationalists that rejected their nationality. Once they
-
did that, they lost their citizenship to Rome and they
-
become Christians.
-
Okay.
-
And fully entrusting. They gave it all up. All of it.
-
All of it.
-
Yes. Their sin, all of their possessions, everything.
-
And in doing so, they gained everything. They gained the
-
kingdom of heaven.
-
Yep.
-
They will now take part in the resurrection.
-
Even the ones that were sent into the Colosseums.
-
They're alive now. By God, they are not in Hades.
-
They're in the third heaven. They're in paradise. No, no,
-
they're not dead. They live now. So yeah, they went
-
into the Colosseum.
-
They went into the Colosseum after knowing others went into
-
the Colosseums. They were into the Coliseum after seeing others
-
and what happened to them in the Coliseum. They still went.
-
They sure did. That's a historical fact. That's a fact.
-
But.
-
Anyway, we need to let that lie right there.
-
Yeah, yeah.
-
Okay?
-
Because this is true. And if you've rejected it, there's
-
nothing Rachel and I can do to help you.
-
Well, there's... there's a point where it's time to let
-
God do his job.
-
Amen. And that's where we're at.
-
Now it's, now it's his turn. Now it's the Holy
-
Spirit's turn to speak to you. If he's speaking to you, listen, listen,
-
please listen. Wow.
-
Boy, I'm hesitant to even let anybody add to that. Anyway, um,
-
Anything anybody wants to add to that or questions or comments?
-
Anybody?
-
Going once. Going twice. Third time's a charm. I mean, listen.
-
I don't know what else to say. You have to
-
listen to me. You have to listen to it.
-
Right, everybody. Until next time, God bless. Godspeed.
