Shalom, dear one. You are warmly welcome to today's Morning
-
Glory devotion. I am excited to come your way again
-
with another inspired devotional written by Sarima and Rables Jabin
-
from Harvest Chapel International, Denyami, Kumasi. Let us begin by
-
sharing a word of prayer. Lord Jesus, thank you for
-
the free gift of salvation and the opportunity to be
-
transformed by your word. As we listen to your words,
-
let our minds be renewed and may we become more
-
and more like you. Amen. Let us kindly take our
-
confession for today. From Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. Joshua
-
1 verse 8 This book of the law shall not
-
depart from my mouth, but I shall meditate in it
-
day and night, that I may observe to do according
-
to all that is written in it. For then I
-
will make my way prosperous, and then I will have
-
good success. Amen. Today's message written by Sarima and Rabbo's
-
Jabin is titled, A City Whose Builder Is God, Part 4,
-
Incredible Stories. A City Whose Builder Is God, Part 4,
-
Incredible Stories. The memory verse would be from Hebrews 11,
-
verse 8. Hebrews 11, verse 8. And so from this
-
one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants
-
as numerous as the stars in the sky, and as
-
countless as the sand on the seashore. Amen. A City
-
Whose Builder Is God Part 4 Incredible Stories In 2009,
-
James Cameron's sci-fi movie, Avatar, was released. It is set
-
in the year 2154 on a depleted Earth where humans
-
travel to Pandora, a moon of another planet, to mine
-
a rare superconductor called Unoptonium. Pandora is lush and home
-
to a humanoid people called the Navi. but its atmosphere
-
is toxic to humans. So scientists create navi-human hybrid bodies
-
called avatars, which human pilots control with their minds. The
-
story follows a paraplegic former soldier who takes his twin
-
brother's place on the mission. The film did tremendously well.
-
It remains the highest-grossing movie of all time. earning $ 2. 92
-
billion worldwide. I recently went looking for what might explain
-
that success, and I found that many of the highest-grossing
-
films share a pattern. Adventures on alien worlds, superheroes, and
-
epic battles with godlike characters. Something in these stories speaks
-
to a longing in the human heart. A longing for
-
more than what the ordinary course of life promises. A
-
longing for something otherworldly. Beloved, that longing is in your
-
heart as much as mine. Scripture even explains it. God
-
has set eternity in the human heart. Ecclesiastes 3.11 But
-
the children of God do not have to settle for
-
make-believe worlds on a cinema screen. The Bible is full
-
of incredible stories scripted by God himself and lived by
-
ordinary people. Gideon and his 300 men routed an army,
-
Judges 7. Shamgar struck down 600 Philistines with an ox god,
-
Judges 3.31. And consider Abraham. He was as good as dead.
-
Yet from him came descendants as numerous as the stars
-
in the sky and as countless as the sand on
-
the seashore. These are not made-believe pictures. What is more,
-
there is an invitation to each of us. God is
-
calling you and me to live out the script he
-
has written about us An incredible journey towards a city
-
whose builder is God. Friend, do you want that deep-seated
-
desire for an incredible life fulfilled? All you need to
-
do is say yes to the role he has given you. Amen.
-
Our memory verse is from Hebrews chapter 11 verse 12.
-
Hebrews 11 verse 12 from the NIV. And so from
-
this one man, and he as good as dead, came
-
descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, and
-
as countless as the sand on the seashore. Amen. Let
-
us please share a word of prayer. Dear Lord, Thank
-
you for speaking to us today through your word. Please
-
cause us to see the path you've created for us
-
and help us to follow you on that path. In
-
Jesus' name, amen. God richly bless you for staying through
-
the devotion. Kindly join us again for another spirit-filled episode tomorrow.
-
Keep your dial locked on Radio HCI. for more spirit-filled content.

Until we come your way again, stay blessed. Shalom.
