  2. Glory devotion. I am excited to come your way again

  3. with another inspired devotional written by Sarima and Rables Jabin

  4. from Harvest Chapel International, Denyami, Kumasi. Let us begin by

  5. sharing a word of prayer. Lord Jesus, thank you for

  6. the free gift of salvation and the opportunity to be

  7. transformed by your word. As we listen to your words,

  8. let our minds be renewed and may we become more

  9. and more like you. Amen. Let us kindly take our

  10. confession for today. From Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. Joshua

    Joshua 1:8 Joshua 1:8

  11. 1 verse 8 This book of the law shall not

  12. depart from my mouth, but I shall meditate in it

  13. day and night, that I may observe to do according

  14. to all that is written in it. For then I

  15. will make my way prosperous, and then I will have

  16. good success. Amen. Today's message written by Sarima and Rabbo's

  17. Jabin is titled, A City Whose Builder Is God, Part 4,

  18. Incredible Stories. A City Whose Builder Is God, Part 4,

  19. Incredible Stories. The memory verse would be from Hebrews 11,

    Hebrews 11:8

  20. verse 8. Hebrews 11, verse 8. And so from this

    Hebrews 11:8

  21. one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants

  22. as numerous as the stars in the sky, and as

  23. countless as the sand on the seashore. Amen. A City

  24. Whose Builder Is God Part 4 Incredible Stories In 2009,

  25. James Cameron's sci-fi movie, Avatar, was released. It is set

  26. in the year 2154 on a depleted Earth where humans

  27. travel to Pandora, a moon of another planet, to mine

  28. a rare superconductor called Unoptonium. Pandora is lush and home

  29. to a humanoid people called the Navi. but its atmosphere

  30. is toxic to humans. So scientists create navi-human hybrid bodies

  31. called avatars, which human pilots control with their minds. The

  32. story follows a paraplegic former soldier who takes his twin

  33. brother's place on the mission. The film did tremendously well.

  34. It remains the highest-grossing movie of all time. earning $ 2. 92

  35. billion worldwide. I recently went looking for what might explain

  36. that success, and I found that many of the highest-grossing

  37. films share a pattern. Adventures on alien worlds, superheroes, and

  38. epic battles with godlike characters. Something in these stories speaks

  39. to a longing in the human heart. A longing for

  40. more than what the ordinary course of life promises. A

  41. longing for something otherworldly. Beloved, that longing is in your

  42. heart as much as mine. Scripture even explains it. God

  43. has set eternity in the human heart. Ecclesiastes 3.11 But

  44. the children of God do not have to settle for

  45. make-believe worlds on a cinema screen. The Bible is full

  46. of incredible stories scripted by God himself and lived by

  47. ordinary people. Gideon and his 300 men routed an army,

  48. Judges 7. Shamgar struck down 600 Philistines with an ox god,

  49. Judges 3.31. And consider Abraham. He was as good as dead.

  50. Yet from him came descendants as numerous as the stars

  51. in the sky and as countless as the sand on

  52. the seashore. These are not made-believe pictures. What is more,

  53. there is an invitation to each of us. God is

  54. calling you and me to live out the script he

  55. has written about us An incredible journey towards a city

  56. whose builder is God. Friend, do you want that deep-seated

  57. desire for an incredible life fulfilled? All you need to

  58. do is say yes to the role he has given you. Amen.

  59. Our memory verse is from Hebrews chapter 11 verse 12.

    Hebrews 11:12

  60. Hebrews 11 verse 12 from the NIV. And so from

    Hebrews 11:12

  61. this one man, and he as good as dead, came

  62. descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, and

  63. as countless as the sand on the seashore. Amen. Let

  64. us please share a word of prayer. Dear Lord, Thank

  65. you for speaking to us today through your word. Please

  66. cause us to see the path you've created for us

  67. and help us to follow you on that path. In

  68. Jesus' name, amen. God richly bless you for staying through

  69. the devotion. Kindly join us again for another spirit-filled episode tomorrow.

  70. Keep your dial locked on Radio HCI. for more spirit-filled content.

  71. Until we come your way again, stay blessed. Shalom.
