  1. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ. Today we're going to talk about the identity of Jesus.

  2. And very important, we need to know who he is according to the scriptures. So let's pray.

  3. Lord Jesus, we thank you for your love and your mercies. We pray,

  4. God, that you will pour out revelation today of who you are.

  5. I pray that you will give me divine utterance and unction, that you will help

  6. me to edify your people, and that you will prepare the hearts of the people

  7. that listen to this video, that they will receive the revelation of truth.

  8. Because you said, I am the way, the truth, and the light. So no man can come

  9. unto you unless you draw them. So Lord, let your mercies fall afresh and lead

  10. us in this study. In Jesus' name, amen. Praise God.

  11. So we're going to go to Acts chapter 2, verse 36. And it says,

    Acts 2:36

  12. Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God had made that

  13. same Jesus, whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

  14. So he is made Lord and Christ.

  15. So he's calling him, we know the scripture says, here, O Israel,

  16. the Lord our God is one, one Lord.

  17. So he's the Lord and Christ, the anointed one.

  18. So let's go to Hebrews chapter 11, verse 6, which says, but without faith it

    Hebrews 11:6

  19. is impossible to please him.

  20. For he that cometh to God must believe that he is, So we have to believe that

  21. He is God, which means we have to be able to identify Him so we can know who He is.

  22. And then it says, And that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

  23. So it's very important we understand who we're seeking.

  24. Praise God. So Jesus Christ is the Almighty God who created all things.

  25. He was God in human form.

  26. And we're going to search the scriptures to see if what I just said was true.

  27. Praise God. Let's start with Isaiah 9, verse 6.

    Isaiah 9:6

  28. It says, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given,

  29. and the government shall be upon his shoulder and his name shall be called Wonderful,

  30. Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

  31. So this is a scripture, a prophecy of Jesus Christ.

  32. And we can note that he is called what? The Mighty God. So we know there's only one God.

  33. And then it says even more clearly, this is the clearest scripture.

  34. It says that he is called the everlasting father.

  35. So how many everlasting fathers do we have? There can only be one.

  36. So Jesus is the father. He is the father in the flesh. So the father represents

  37. the spirit of God because the Bible says God is the spirit.

  38. We're going to watch. I'll show you to the scriptures. So watch this. Praise God.

  39. Let's go to Deuteronomy 6, verse 4.

    Deuteronomy 6:4

  40. Which says, Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord.

  41. So we know that God is one.

  42. And then if we go to Matthew chapter 23, verse 9, it says, And call no man your

    Matthew 23:9

  43. father upon the earth, for one is your father which is in heaven.

  44. So for the fact that that scripture says to call him the everlasting father,

  45. it has to be referenced to the father, meaning the one in heaven. Praise God.

  46. Matthew 1, verse 23 says, Behold, a virgin shall be with child and shall bring

    Matthew 1:23

  47. forth a son, and it shall call his name Emmanuel, which is being interpreted.

  48. Which being interpreted is God with us.

  49. So Jesus is God with us.

  50. So Jesus, God is a spirit. He robed himself in flesh.

  51. So why is he called the son of God? Because according to the flesh, he was born a son.

  52. But according to the spirit, he is the father. He's the creator.

  53. Praise God. We're going to see as the scriptures show us that this is what it

  54. teaches. There's not a trinity. There's not a three people. There's not three

  55. persons that make one God. But there's just one God.

  56. So he is the father. He is the son. He is the Holy Ghost. And he has only one

  57. name. And that name is above every name, which is Jesus Christ. Praise God.

  58. So let's go to 1 Timothy 3, verse 16.

    1 Timothy 3:16

  59. It says, And without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness.

  60. Notice it didn't say mystery of God. It says godliness. God was manifest in the flesh.

  61. So right there is declaring to us, God was manifest. What does manifest mean?

  62. Made known. So God was made known how? In the flesh.

  63. So that's who Jesus was. When he's called the Son of God, it represents God.

  64. In the flesh because God is a spirit. We can't see a spirit,

  65. but Jesus is God in the flesh.

  66. So when we talk about the Son of God, we're talking about God in the flesh.

  67. When we're talking about the Father, we're talking about God as spirit. Praise God.

  68. So then it says, God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,

  69. seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles.

  70. They preached Jesus.

  71. So if they preached Jesus, and it says, this is a description of what God was.

  72. God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels,

  73. preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

  74. So that's God that was received up into glory.

  75. Now watch this. Colossians chapter 1, verse 14 to 17.

    Colossians 1:14–17

  76. In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins,

  77. who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. Listen to this.

  78. For by Him, by Jesus Christ, were all things created,

  79. that are in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible,

  80. whether they be thrones or dominions, principalities or powers.

  81. All things were created by Him and for Him.

  82. And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.

  83. All things. That would include the Father. He has to be the Father to have this

  84. type of title, to have all this praise of accolades of saying who He is,

  85. that all things were made by Him, all things that consist.

  86. That means all things that are alive or all things that are real,

  87. all things that have been made, are made by Jesus.

  88. Philippians chapter 2, verse 5 to 11 says, Let this mind be in you,

    Philippians 2:5–11

  89. which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God.

  90. So why does he say he's in the form of God? Because God is not a man. That's why.

  91. He came in the form of God because the essence of God is spirit.

  92. So he came in the form of God.

  93. Thought it not robbery to be what? Equal with God.

  94. So why is he saying that? Why is he saying he didn't think it was robbery to

  95. be equal? He's saying he's equal with God.

  96. He didn't think it was robbery. Why? How can you be equal with God if there's only one God?

  97. He's saying this because he was talking about the specific manifestation of

  98. God coming in the flesh, but made himself of no reputation and took upon him the form of a servant

  99. and was made in the likeness of men.

  100. So notice it said he was made in the likeness of men. Because why? Because he wasn't a man.

  101. God is not a man. God is a spirit.

  102. The scripture is saying, but he was made in the likeness of men.

  103. And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient

  104. unto death, even the death of the cross.

  105. Wherefore, God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above

  106. every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow of things in heaven.

  107. So if everything, listen to what it's saying here. It says,

  108. and given him a name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every

  109. knee should bow of things in heaven and things in the earth and things under the earth.

  110. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

  111. So if everything's bowing down, even in heaven.

  112. Then the Father cannot be separated from the Son. That's why Jesus said, My Father and I are one.

  113. They are one. They're not two, they're not three. They are one because Jesus

  114. is God in the flesh. Praise God.

  115. Romans 14.11 says, For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord,

  116. So we just read in Philippians that every knee will bow to Jesus and that every

  117. tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

  118. But when we read Romans 14, 11, it doesn't say Jesus here. It says.

  119. So he's quoting an Old Testament scripture here. He's talking about the Father here.

  120. He says, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

  121. So are we seeing that you have to equate this as Jesus is the Father?

  122. Otherwise, this is a contradiction.

  123. Because one is saying everyone will bow to Jesus. The other one is saying everyone will bow to God.

  124. So let's do some more referencing. Isaiah 42, verse 8,

    Isaiah 42:8

  125. says, I in the Lord, that is my name, and my glory will I not give to another,

  126. neither my praise to graven energy.

  127. So if God would not share his glory to anyone else, people, the scripture teaches

  128. us that people worship Jesus.

  129. They said they bowed down and worshiped him.

  130. And he didn't stop them. He didn't rebuke them for doing that.

  131. So in the scripture that we just read, every knee is going to bow to Jesus regardless.

  132. So God would not do that.

  133. Jesus has to be, he has to be God. He has to be the father.

  134. Otherwise, this would be a contradiction. So the scripture doesn't contradict

  135. itself. It's very clear of who he is. It's just trying to show us who he is. It's that simple.

  136. So God is not going to share his glory with nobody else Matthew 28 verse 9 says,

    Matthew 28:9

  137. And as they went to tell his disciples Behold, Jesus met them saying,

  138. All hail So Jesus said that And listen to what it says And they came and held

  139. him by the feet And worshipped him,

  140. Jesus said all hail Meaning all hail me And then it says they went to his feet

  141. They bowed down And it says and they worshipped him.

  142. What did Jesus tell the devil?

  143. Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God only. You can only worship God.

  144. That would have been blasphemy if Jesus wasn't the Father, if He wasn't the Almighty One.

  145. Let's continue to read. Isaiah 43, verse 10 and 11.

    Isaiah 43:10

  146. Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant, whom I have chosen,

  147. that ye may know and believe me and understand that I am he.

  148. Before me there was no God formed. Praise God. Neither shall there be after

  149. you. Are you hearing this?

  150. I, even I, am the Lord, and beside me there is no Savior.

  151. Jesus is our Savior. For the people who want to separate them,

  152. he says there's no Savior beside me.

  153. So you can't separate them. Jesus is our Savior. The Father is our Savior.

  154. God is our Savior. Praise God.

  155. The scriptures are very clear and they're very consistent in what we're saying.

  156. Hallelujah. Psalms 65, verse 2.

    Psalms 65:2

  157. O thou that hearest prayer unto thee, shall all flesh come.

  158. So this is the question now. Let's explain now how this works.

  159. Because now people have the questions of, if Jesus was God, why did he pray to the Father?

  160. Well, the scripture that I just read, Jesus came to fulfill the scriptures.

  161. That's what it says. So listen to this.

  162. The scripture says, O thou that hearest prayer. So he's talking about God.

  163. And it says, Unto thee shall what?

  164. All flesh come.

  165. God, Jesus Christ, remember, was what? God in the flesh.

  166. So even though Jesus was God, he was also a human.

  167. When he came in the flesh, he was 100% man and 100% God. God put himself in

  168. a human being. So he was God.

  169. So as a man, he had to sleep. As a man, he had to eat. As a man,

  170. he had to go to the washroom.

  171. But as God, what did he do? He walked on water. As God, he did all the miracles.

  172. You know what I'm saying? So as God, he can do whatever he wants.

  173. But as a man, he humbled himself. As a man, he subjected himself to what?

  174. To the will of the Father. What does that mean? The will of the Spirit.

  175. That's what it means. The will of the Spirit. The will of God. Because God is a Spirit.

  176. And they that worship him must worship him in Spirit. and in truth.

  177. Praise God. So.

  178. And that's what the Bible says. John chapter 4, verse 24 says, God.

    John 4:24

  179. So remember, John chapter 4, verse 24 says, God is a spirit.

    John 4:24

  180. And they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

  181. So when Jesus died on the cross, God didn't die. Some people make those statements.

  182. Oh, Jesus was God. Then why did he die?

  183. Well, God is a spirit. God never died. The flesh died.

  184. So remember, the spirit of God is God. The flesh is not God.

  185. And that's why you have to separate the two different identities or manifestations,

  186. of there's the Son of God, which represents God in the flesh.

  187. But then there's the Father, which represents the totality of God in spirit,

  188. because in spirit, God is everywhere.

  189. But in the Son, think about it like this.

  190. When Jesus was on earth, how many people could he talk to at one time?

  191. How many places could he be at one time?

  192. He can only be at one place at one time.

  193. But as God, He's everywhere.

  194. He's everywhere. So even while all of God was in Jesus, the same time,

  195. God was holding the world in the palm of His hand.

  196. And I think that's the part that people either don't understand or they can't

  197. comprehend. That's what makes Him God.

  198. We don't have to comprehend that, but we know that that's what the Scriptures

  199. teach, that He is everywhere.

  200. The Scripture says in Psalms, If I make my bed in hell, you're there.

  201. If I go to the highest mountain, you're there. It doesn't matter where you go. God is there.

  202. So yes, at the same time, while God was embodied in a person,

  203. at the same time, he's still in heaven.

  204. He's still in the earth. He's still in the universe. Because that's what God

  205. is. He's a spirit and he reigns and rules and he fulfills and consists of all things. Praise God.

  206. Let's read now John chapter 2 verse 19 to 21.

    John 2:19–21

  207. It says, Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple and in three

  208. days I, Jesus said, I will raise it up.

  209. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple and building,

  210. and will thou rear it up in three days?

  211. But he spake of the temple of his body. He was talking about himself.

  212. So we can clearly note Jesus said, I will do it.

  213. But then now, if we go to Acts 5, verse 30, it says, The God of our fathers raised up Jesus.

    Acts 5:30

  214. Whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.

  215. This is not trying to separate them. It's not trying to say the Father is separate from Jesus.

  216. It's trying to show us that Jesus is the Father.

  217. It's trying to show us and understand that the manifestation of the Son is separate.

  218. Yes, it's a separate manifestation of God.

  219. Just like God manifested himself in the flame to Moses.

  220. That was a manifestation of God. He came in a flame. Is God a flame? No, He's not a flame.

  221. Yes, you could say He's a consuming fire. He's all these things, but He's a spirit.

  222. So when God came in the form of a man, He has a title. It's called the Son of God.

  223. So we've got to understand that. He is the Son of God by a title,

  224. but that doesn't mean He's not the Father.

  225. The Father represents the Spirit. The Spirit was inside of Him.

  226. So again, the scriptures cannot contradict themselves.

  227. One minute it says, I will raise you, I will raise myself up.

  228. And then the next minute it says, God raised him up.

  229. So it is the God of our fathers raised up Jesus.

  230. So again, this is not a contradiction. Brethren, the Bible says that we're supposed

  231. to, in order for us to understand the context of scripture, the Bible says we're

  232. supposed to go line upon line, here a little, there a little, precept upon precept.

  233. So if that's how we're supposed to do it, We're trying to do,

  234. what we're doing right now is putting all the pieces of the puzzle together.

  235. Because if you don't put all the pieces together, how can you see the picture?

  236. You're only seeing partial picture if you don't put all the pieces in.

  237. So yes, I know you're going to say the scriptures of like, well,

  238. why did God say my father is greater than I?

  239. Pretty simple. The spirit is greater than the flesh.

  240. God was in the flesh. So when he said that my father, he's saying my spirit

  241. is greater than my flesh.

  242. This is not that hard to understand. You need to understand the context because

  243. otherwise, if I were to believe that the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost

  244. were separate, then it would contradict every scripture that I'm sharing with you right now.

  245. That's how I know it can't be true. It cannot be true. Praise God.

  246. And then notice what it says. Matthew 5 verse 17 says,

    Matthew 5:17

  247. Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets.

  248. I am not come to destroy but to fulfill So Jesus came to fulfill the scriptures,

  249. And that's why he had to pray That's why he had to be baptized That's why he

  250. had to suffer and go through what he went through Because it was written of him So you.

  251. We need to understand that Jesus was God at all times.

  252. And when he prayed and cried out and said, Father, Father, why is that forsaking me?

  253. His flesh was crying out. God did not forsake him, but his flesh was in the

  254. middle of turmoil and it was just crying out.

  255. But they cannot be separated because then there's two creators and there can't be two creators.

  256. Jesus is that creator. He is the Father. He is the Son. He is the Holy Ghost.

  257. In fact, just to prove to you, if you think about it, Jesus said,

  258. I'll send the Comforter in my name. The Comforter is the Holy Ghost.

  259. So let me read. Let me go to Ephesians chapter 4. Let me show you something

    Ephesians 4 chapter mention

  260. before we close this video out.

  261. Listen to this scripture. Ephesians 4, and we're going to read from verse 4.

  262. It says, There is one body and one spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling.

  263. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism. There's only one way to do things, and that's God's way.

  264. Then it says, listen to verse 6, One God and Father of all Who is above all,

  265. And through all And in you all,

  266. Jesus said, I will be in you And he's saying the Father is in you all Brethren.

  267. It's very clear in the scriptures There's only one God So Jesus has to be that

  268. one God So I hope this video helped you.

  269. I can go deeper, right, to show you how Jesus is the Father.

  270. He is the Father. That's why he said over and over, the scriptures I didn't

  271. mention, there's so many.

  272. When Doubting Thomas saw him and he said, oh, I'm not going to believe that Jesus is resurrected.

  273. Then what does it say? Jesus came back and says, oh, you know,

  274. put your fingers through my hand and through my side.

  275. And what was Thomas' response?

  276. His response was, my Lord and my God.

  277. There can only be one. There can only be one.

  278. The scripture says that the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Jesus.

  279. Think about that scripture. Fullness of the Godhead. What does fullness mean?

  280. Fullness means complete, all of. If I have a cup and there's water in it,

  281. it means you can't put any more in it because it's full.

  282. It means you can't get more into it. So if the fullness of the Godhead was in

  283. Jesus Christ, then you can't get more of God.

  284. It's all of God was in Jesus Christ.

  285. Who Jesus was or all of God is who God was was in Jesus Christ.

  286. The fullness of the Godhead. So the Godhead is one, not three.

  287. Praise God. Any questions, let me know in the comments. God bless you. Have a good day.
