  1. You get you got the summary sheet in front of you.

  2. And uh can you believe everything Steven said is on one page?

  3. Let's open it in a word of prayer and we we'll get into it.

  4. So Father, thanks again for everyone here, and we thank you for Wednesday night.

  5. We thank you for the fellowship, the time together, that this is your body, and your bride.

  6. And you're coming back to get it.

  7. And we thank you that we can be a part of it.

  8. We thank you for teaching us.

  9. Thank you for Stephen and his ministry and his teachings.

  10. And we just thank you for the opportunity to once again look into your word and uh understand uh the book of Revelation.

  11. Thanks for all you're doing in our lives, and we thank you for it in Christ's name.

  12. Amen.

  13. So hopefully you got through the lesson.

  14. This is probably one of the tougher lessons, and it's because it's got a lot of numbers and a lot of Old Testament and New Testament, and uh he's actually doing two things.

  15. He's talking about the other dream he had, and then he's then he's jumping to the end and talking about all this these numbers.

  16. And hopefully hopefully uh we can simplify it uh just a little bit.

  17. But remember, you don't get discouraged.

  18. You you may not understand it all.

  19. Did that did Daniel understand it?

  20. No, he did not even understand it, right?

  21. And uh he had to have an intervention, right?

  22. So don't feel discouraged or dismayed or concerned because that you don't understand it.

  23. I mean, you're in the race.

  24. You're you're trying, we're trying to understand it.

  25. And and God will enlighten you and teach you, and you may have to watch this over several times.

  26. I've listened to this three times just this week.

  27. Just I mean I've already heard it all before, but it's and I you pick up things, so don't don't think you're gonna get it all and fit it all together today.

  28. Okay.

  29. Um this is what we finished.

  30. If you remember, if you listen to his message, he he had been gone for three weeks before he presented this one.

  31. The one we talked about last week, there's a three-week gap there, and he spends a good 15 minutes reviewing everything, and I'm not gonna do that because we went over that all last week.

  32. So we looked at, remember last week we we talked about what's on the screen, we talked about the present age and the age to come, right?

  33. Um, and then we talked about that what is the last days.

  34. Do you remember?

  35. What are the last days?

  36. Well the church age is the same.

  37. It is in this particular case, it's the church age, but last days just means the end of an age.

  38. Okay?

  39. So it's still part of an age, but the term last days just specifies the end of that age.

  40. Okay, that's something you need to understand.

  41. And and remember, he talked about the last days.

  42. I mean, Jesus and and the apostles were talking about the last days, the latter days.

  43. And so the last days of the Gentile age started when those guys were walking around on the earth when the church started.

  44. That's when that's part of the last days.

  45. So if that was part of the last days, where are we?

  46. Yeah, we're in the last seconds of the last days.

  47. We're we're right at this end point.

  48. We're we're right, this is the church, you know, the seven churches, and we're right right here on Laodicea.

  49. So we okay?

  50. Remember the age of the Gentiles, he talked about what the age of the Gentiles was?

  51. It's a period of time, a long period of time, where it's governed by Gentiles.

  52. And there were three criteria.

  53. Remember what those were?

  54. This it was where a gentile kingdom, a gentile power, they did three things.

  55. What were they?

  56. Huh?

  57. They captured Israelis.

  58. Yeah, they they they took the people, the Jews, and scattered them and persecuted them.

  59. So as long if if you're in the gentile age, this is what happens.

  60. Scatters the Jews and persecutes them.

  61. What's the second one?

  62. They occupied Jerusalem.

  63. They take control, it's under the control of that Gentile power, Jerusalem, the capital.

  64. And what was the third one?

  65. Had to be the dominant power at that particular time, right?

  66. That's part of the Gentile age.

  67. And that started.

  68. Remember last time we went back?

  69. When did that start?

  70. Nebuchadnezzar was the first Gentile power to come in, control Jerusalem, destroy Jerusalem, actually, trampled it, take the captivity, took them back, and persecuted them.

  71. And ever since that time, those three things have not changed.

  72. That's what we talked about last week.

  73. Remember, these were the four powers, and it and it was in a dream, and we talked about that.

  74. And it the dream, this is a time, this is a timeline.

  75. And we talked about the Babylonians with the head of gold, and then what came in after them and defeated them with the Medes and the Persians, which is the two arms.

  76. Okay, the Medes and the Persians.

  77. And then the middle part with the Greeks, and that was Alexander.

  78. He came in and he conquered the Medes and the Persians.

  79. And then finally we went into this last one, and that was who?

  80. Rome.

  81. But we we go from a one-person power, and remember, as we go through, what happens to the metals?

  82. They degrade, they devalue, they become less valuable.

  83. What happens to the power structure?

  84. It weakens and it weakens until we get to the very end.

  85. It's so weak, it's divided into two, and then it's even divided into ten, and it's a mixing of clay and iron.

  86. And remember what he said about that?

  87. Brittle, and there's gonna be all these alliances, and it's just gonna, people are gonna break away, and then they're gonna join together, and then it's just this constant dismantling and rebuilding, which is where we're at today.

  88. Brexit, the European Union.

  89. Then we talked about, so it represents the Gentile powers.

  90. They become increasingly strong but less majestic.

  91. And then what comes at the second coming?

  92. Remember, it doesn't show you on that, it doesn't show you on this, but something comes from the rock, uncut, means God, basically, not man-made, and smashes what?

  93. The feet, which destroys what?

  94. What happened?

  95. What is going on here?

  96. Okay.

  97. Remember, it comes down and it smashes the feet and it destroys the whole thing, which means that it destroys the whole age.

  98. That's how the Gentile age is destroyed.

  99. And that's the second coming of Christ, and He will come.

  100. And remember, it hit it hits, and what happens once it hits, besides destroying it?

  101. Becomes a mountain.

  102. Okay.

  103. And so okay.

  104. So now we we need to build on this.

  105. Okay, and we build on this a little bit more.

  106. There's more questions and there's more things.

  107. So let's let's go to this, which he uh is in Daniel 7.

  108. So let's read this together and then we'll touch on some of the things.

  109. So Daniel said, I was looking in a vision by night, and and uh what behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the great sea, and four great beasts were coming up from the sea, different from one another.

  110. So now you got now we've gone from a statue to what?

  111. Animals or beasts.

  112. Okay.

  113. The first was like a lion and had uh the wings of an eagle.

  114. I kept looking until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up in the ground from the ground, and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a human mind also was given to it.

  115. Verse 5, and behold another beast, a second one, resembling a bear, and it was raised up on one side, and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth.

  116. And thus they said to it, Arise and devour much meat.

  117. And after this I kept looking, and behold, another one, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird.

  118. The beast also had four heads, the dominion and dominion was given to it.

  119. Okay, so based on what you already know, what are these, and what we're looking at here is three of them.

  120. What do you think these three represent?

  121. What's the first one represent?

  122. Yeah, Babylon.

  123. And you're gonna see some things, some things that you see here confirm this.

  124. It's just that we're not now taught we're not now talking about a timeline, we're talking about the nature.

  125. Stephen brought out that this is the nature of these kingdoms.

  126. And this one is like a lion.

  127. Um and and they remember the head of gold?

  128. This is the simulation of it.

  129. I think I've got it on your sheet there.

  130. Um the winged lion, Babylon's own national symbol.

  131. I think he's Stephen's.

  132. This is uh, you can find the archaeologists found this.

  133. Uh and it was all Babylon, and you see the light patch in the middle.

  134. That was where the wings were, but they've eroded and broken off.

  135. And so this is confirmation just from archaeology that this is what they use to represent the Babylonian uh Empire.

  136. Okay.

  137. What about the set?

  138. Anything anything anything else you want to say about that one.

  139. In the museum, they've got the gates and their winged lions.

  140. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

  141. Saw them in England.

  142. Yeah.

  143. Yeah.

  144. Yeah, I actually uh I tried to look that up.

  145. Yeah, that's that's good.

  146. Notice it says uh, and we'll touch on this a little bit later, where it says the wings were plucked and it stands on two feet given a human mind.

  147. What?

  148. So notice that part?

  149. So you've got this lion that stands up on two feet and and has a human mind.

  150. Right?

  151. So this pictures Nebuchadnezzar personally, uh, but it also uh says something later on that we'll look at.

  152. Okay.

  153. Okay, the lopsided bear.

  154. Well what does this represent?

  155. The Medes and the Persians.

  156. Now, what are some characteristics that he told you about this?

  157. Persians.

  158. Okay, he's the three ribs.

  159. What do they represent?

  160. Maybe Egypt and Babylon.

  161. Yeah, they conquered three areas.

  162. That's the three ribs.

  163. What about the lopsidedness?

  164. The Persians were the stronger of the two, and so it's lopsided.

  165. Okay, Lydia, Babylon, and Egypt were the three kingdoms that it devoured.

  166. Then we go to the next one.

  167. It's a leopard.

  168. What did Stephen say about this?

  169. This is representing who?

  170. Greece.

  171. Why a leopard?

  172. Fast.

  173. And what do we know about Alexander?

  174. Yeah, he was really fast.

  175. I mean, he he conquered the Medes and the Persians very quickly.

  176. And it was super fast.

  177. That's why it's got wings.

  178. Okay?

  179. What about the four heads?

  180. The four generals.

  181. You know, when he died, he didn't have any siblings, he didn't have any children, so it was divided into his kingdom was between the four generals.

  182. Okay.

  183. So we know it kind of lines up there.

  184. We know it kind of lines up.

  185. Alright.

  186. Now, and notice those are animals that you can identify.

  187. Bear, a lion, a leopard.

  188. Now we get to the fourth one.

  189. And notice there's not a whole lot, there's not a lot of information.

  190. That's it right there.

  191. Six verses basically.

  192. All the rest all has to do with the fourth beast.

  193. So it's kind of like, yeah, remember he did this last time, even with the statue.

  194. He he brushed over quickly the first three, but he spent more time on the fourth one.

  195. What's exactly the same.

  196. He he kind of quickly goes over those first three, and he focuses most of his information on the fourth one.

  197. Why?

  198. Yeah, because it's the most important one.

  199. You know, especially to us, because we're right here, you know.

  200. So let's look at this.

  201. After this, I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast.

  202. Dreadful and terrifying and extremely strong.

  203. And it had large iron.

  204. Iron iron teeth.

  205. Remember?

  206. So that's your link to Rome, because Rome had iron legs, right?

  207. It devoured and crushed and trampled down the remainder with its feet.

  208. And look at this.

  209. What does it say in red?

  210. And it was different from all the beasts that were before it.

  211. Now notice what it says next.

  212. And it had what?

  213. Okay, now remember, this is the link.

  214. This is the this is linking you to the statue.

  215. So we're this is the last one.

  216. And what was at the bottom?

  217. What was at the very bottom of the statue?

  218. This one is a beast.

  219. Now, is it an identifiable beast?

  220. Like a leopard or bear or no, it was so grotesque.

  221. There wasn't any kind of animal that could describe it.

  222. So it's just a conglomerate.

  223. While I was contemplating the horns, so you got ten horns.

  224. While I was contemplating the horns, behold, another horn.

  225. A little one came up among them.

  226. So you got these ten horns, and then pop, this little horn pops up in the midst of them.

  227. Came up among them, and three of the first horns were pulled out by the roots before it.

  228. And behold, this horn possessed eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth uttering great boasts.

  229. Okay.

  230. Now, do you see the see the comparison?

  231. I mean, I if if this would be in the statue, you would see ten toes, and then you'd see another little toe pop up in the middle of the ten toes.

  232. But that's that didn't happen, you know.

  233. But I want you to get the joint here.

  234. This is what we're talking about.

  235. So something happens at the end where we end up with ten.

  236. And what happens to three?

  237. They are utterly left removed.

  238. Three of them are removed, and you get left with seven, and then the the little horn becomes bigger and stronger.

  239. Okay?

  240. That one little horn.

  241. Now, this is where the link is.

  242. The horn possessed eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth uttered in great boasts.

  243. So this one becomes dominant over the other seven.

  244. He becomes one.

  245. Now the link, where did that happen before, which we read earlier, where the lion stood up on two feet?

  246. Nebuchadnezzar.

  247. Nebuchadnezzar.

  248. So what this is trying to say, what he's trying to say here is that first one was dominated by one person.

  249. Global rule by one person.

  250. And that's that was a personification of this standing up and like a human.

  251. This lion standing up like a human.

  252. And this is the same thing.

  253. This little horn, what does it say?

  254. Possessed eyes, like the eyes of a man, and a mouth uttering great boasts.

  255. So there's a link there that when we get down to this tin toe area, tin horn area, one person's gonna rise up and be in complete control, like Nebuchadnezzar.

  256. So we're going from one, and remember it got weaker and weaker and weaker, and then you got lots and lots and lots all the way down the end, and then at right at the end is gonna be one stand up and be controlled just like Nebuchadnezzar.

  257. That's that link there.

  258. That's the beast.

  259. Don't know, we don't know what it is.

  260. But you can see the horns, and you can see all that kind of stuff.

  261. Look at this.

  262. So he's looking at this beast, and then I desired to know the exact meaning.

  263. So he could see this, and he could see, and he could see these ten horns, and Daniel wanted to know what those ten horns meant.

  264. That's what it says.

  265. I didn't know it, I denied, I desired to know the exact meaning of the forced beasts, which was different from all the others, exceedingly dreadful, with its teeth of iron and its claws of bronze, and which devoured, crushed, and trampled down the remainder with its feet.

  266. And basically, we're talking about Rome and Europe, so something's gonna happen where there's gonna be this person who pops up and controls and tramples and devours and controls everything.

  267. Just like Nebuchadnezzar.

  268. All powerful.

  269. There's the little horn.

  270. And he's got little eyes, and he's got a mouth that boasts, right?

  271. So he he destroys uh, he plucks out three of them and he gets left with seven.

  272. Um and then we'll talk about uh that.

  273. So the important thing is, the important thing is, what's it gonna look like in the end?

  274. Before, right before Christ comes back, right before that rock comes down and smashes, what's it gonna look like?

  275. What's the geopolitical structure of the world gonna be according to this?

  276. One world ruler.

  277. It's gonna be a one-person ruler who's in control of seven others.

  278. And prior to that, how many were there?

  279. Ten.

  280. So here this is what it's gonna look like at the end.

  281. So, unless you see something where there's something ten, you know, we're not there yet.

  282. And Stephen talked about this.

  283. What did he say about Christ coming back?

  284. What did he say?

  285. Is he coming back tomorrow?

  286. Not according to this.

  287. I don't I don't see now the the ten things may be there for me, but we can't see him yet.

  288. Now, why do you brought this up to me uh down at eating down there about the Lord coming back?

  289. You know, about well it's a long way away.

  290. I don't see this.

  291. But that's the Lord coming back to smash the return of Christ, where he comes back and lands on the earth and destroys this.

  292. What happens before that?

  293. Yeah.

  294. Something happens before that, and we're going to talk about that in a minute.

  295. And when does that occur?

  296. You don't know.

  297. And Stephen mentioned that about immincy.

  298. There is another return of Christ, not the one where he comes and smashes the tin, but there's another return, which is imminent.

  299. And imminent means you don't know.

  300. Could happen anytime.

  301. You may not even make it home.

  302. You don't have to wait to see ten.

  303. David will be talking about that next week.

  304. That's why you got two lessons.

  305. I send out two sets of lessons because I'll be gone.

  306. But he's going to talk about that imminent return.

  307. And it talks about it when you get into four.

  308. 4-8.

  309. Lesson 4-8.

  310. Well, five, isn't it?

  311. Five?

  312. Four, four, four, four C.

  313. Yeah.

  314. Four C.

  315. Okay.

  316. Look at what happens in seven, nine.

  317. So we're looking at these ten.

  318. We know in the Daniel one, in the Daniel 2, there's a rock that comes and destroys it.

  319. Well, what happens in this particular one?

  320. Well, this is nine and ten tell you this.

  321. Now nine and ten tell you what happened.

  322. Kind of like the rock that's coming and smashing the feet.

  323. Nine and ten is the same thing.

  324. It's just explained in a different way.

  325. Look what nine and ten says.

  326. I kept looking until thrones were set up, and the ancient of days took his seat.

  327. Now look at this description.

  328. And tell me what this description sounds like.

  329. Have we seen this before?

  330. Where?

  331. Chapter 1.

  332. Revelate, you know.

  333. Daniel saw this.

  334. Mount of Transfiguration.

  335. Look at the description.

  336. His vesture was like white snow, and the hair of his head was like pure wool.

  337. His throne was ablaze with flames.

  338. Its wheels were burning fire.

  339. Okay?

  340. It's kind of the same description of this pre-incarnate Christ.

  341. Now, is this God the Father or is this Christ?

  342. Or well, it doesn't really say, but we know.

  343. Probably the pre-incarnate, probably Christ.

  344. So this is the description of these feet that it's coming down and smashing.

  345. Look what it says: a river of fire was flowing and coming out from before him.

  346. Thousands upon thousands were attending him, and myriads upon myriads were standing before him.

  347. The court sat and the books were opened.

  348. So this is judgment time.

  349. So this is that rock that's coming down to destroy.

  350. So he sees it, but he just sees it in a different way.

  351. Look at this.

  352. And the meaning of the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, and before which three of them fell, namely that horn which had eyes and a mouth uttering great boasts, and which was larger in appearance than its associates, so it's bigger.

  353. I kept looking, and that horn was waging war with the saints and overpowering them.

  354. Until look at this, until what?

  355. The ancient of days came.

  356. Now we just looked at the ancient of days.

  357. Who's the ancient of days?

  358. Until the ancient of days came and judgment was passed in favor of the saints, and the highest one, and the time arrived when the saints took possession of the kingdom.

  359. Now, do you get this?

  360. What is this saying?

  361. Who are the saints?

  362. Let me tell you something.

  363. It is not us.

  364. Once the church is out of here, who who now becomes uh God's focus?

  365. The Jews, the nation of Israel.

  366. He now focuses back on them.

  367. This is why there's a lot of confusion and a lot of people, well, it's the church, you know, saints, you know, we're the saints.

  368. Well, there's a lot of different saints.

  369. There's the church saints, there's the tribulation saints, there's the Old Testament saints.

  370. I mean, you can't just confine it to that one thing.

  371. Look at this.

  372. Thus he said, the fourth beast will be a fourth kingdom on the earth, which will be different from all the other kingdoms, and would devour the whole earth and tread it down and crush it.

  373. As for the ten horns, you want to want to know what the ten horns are?

  374. No need to guess.

  375. Don't have to guess.

  376. Well, I think it's uh, I think it's this.

  377. You know, I think it's that.

  378. Well, you don't have to guess, it tells you right here.

  379. Out of this, as for the ten horns, out of this kingdom, ten kings will arise.

  380. So sometime in the future, maybe right now, they may be here now, we just don't know it.

  381. There's gonna be ten kings or ten authorities or ten people in control uh will arise, and another will arise after them.

  382. Another what?

  383. Another king.

  384. Some other person's gonna arise like a king and control those ten.

  385. And he will be different from the previous ones and will subdue three kings.

  386. So he's gonna destroy three kings.

  387. He will speak out against the most high and wear down the saints of the highest one, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law.

  388. I'm not gonna get into that, but he's somehow he's gonna make changes, a lot of changes, and they will be given into his hands for a time, times, and half a time.

  389. Okay?

  390. Now, if you study it enough, you you come to know, and this is the only way to understand what time, times, and half a times is, you gotta have the decoder to the decode that.

  391. What is time, times, and half a time?

  392. Well, guess where?

  393. Guess where the only other place.

  394. Remember, we're talking about Daniel here.

  395. Where is the only other place where you see the word time, times, and half a time?

  396. In the book of Revelation.

  397. It's in 12, chapter 12, verse 4, and I think 12 or something.

  398. This is the only other time.

  399. And by the way, there's also other numbers that are associated with that.

  400. 42 months and uh 400 and it's 1,000 something years, whatever 42 months is in days.

  401. Yeah.

  402. 1,000 years.

  403. So so that that's the Dakota, and that's how you know it's three and a half years.

  404. So this is gonna happen for three and a half years.

  405. Jewish month is thirty thirty days.

  406. Thirty days.

  407. Yeah, 42 months, 1,260.

  408. He will speak out.

  409. So, but the court will sit will sit for judgment, and his dominion will be taken away, annihilated, and destroyed forever.

  410. That's that rock coming down.

  411. Then the sovereignty, the dominion, and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints.

  412. Who are the people of the saints?

  413. The Jews.

  414. Remember, when he comes back and destroys that that statue, and it's destroyed, that's a gentile, that's the Gentile age is done.

  415. Now it's gonna be, now what's gonna take over?

  416. A Jew, a Jewish nation's gonna take it over.

  417. Not a Gentile one, that's done.

  418. So the only one you got left, there's only two groups in the world.

  419. Did you know that?

  420. Jews and Gentiles.

  421. And so when the Gentiles one's done, there's only one left.

  422. And that's that great mountain that grows up.

  423. So there's the next age is gonna be this kingdom age where the Jews control Jerusalem.

  424. And but and Jesus is gonna sit there, and we're all gonna work for him in his government.

  425. We we will be ruling and reigning, we not.

  426. Pretty exciting.

  427. Um, the highest one.

  428. His kingdom will be an everlasting one.

  429. Not like the Gentile.

  430. Was the Gentile kingdom an everlasting one?

  431. No, didn't last long.

  432. And all the dominion will serve him and obey him.

  433. So here, here, remember, this is this last one.

  434. Remember, we talked about this.

  435. It's this imperialistic democratic alliance.

  436. It divided east and west, where you had the two legs, and we get all the way down to the bottom, and we end up with ten kings or ten toes.

  437. Um, so the ten kings, eleventh one pop, that eleventh one pops out, he destroys three of them, he destroys three of them.

  438. So you get this is called the Antichrist.

  439. If you haven't figured that out already, this this ruler like Nebuchadnezzar, he uh and he he he he and seven others will control the world.

  440. Do you see that?

  441. Yeah.

  442. Do you see that in the world?

  443. Do you see ten yet?

  444. No, we don't see it yet.

  445. Now remember, this guy has complete control for three and a half years.

  446. Not seven, three and a half.

  447. When we get into the chapter four on, we're gonna look at the seven years.

  448. And we're gonna specifically look at the midpoint, because the midpoint is the key.

  449. And we'll we'll look at all that.

  450. Okay?

  451. Here's that mountain.

  452. So, here, these beasts, they confirm that that Daniel's the kingdoms are the same.

  453. It emphasizes the importance of the fourth kingdom over the others.

  454. The fourth one is the main one.

  455. It reveals the fourth kingdom progresses through a series of leaders.

  456. Ten, uh, minus three, and then seven plus the one.

  457. Okay.

  458. That's kind of the same thing.

  459. The Babylonian, and we know these dates.

  460. These dates here are where they took control of Jerusalem.

  461. 605, here.

  462. Okay.

  463. And remember, uh, this is the last one.

  464. This is and where are we on this one?

  465. We we're about right here.

  466. And this is him coming back.

  467. So, this is a review.

  468. Remember, chapter one is what he saw.

  469. Remember, he saw the vision and all that kind of stuff in chapter one.

  470. Uh, where we are, and by the way, we are we are still in the R.

  471. That's the church age.

  472. Okay, and which one are we in?

  473. Which number?

  474. We're in seven.

  475. And then right here is after.

  476. So after the church, the church started here, and the church is gonna end here, and then and we only see that in chapter two and three, the church.

  477. When you get into chapter four and on, you don't see the church, it's not mentioned.

  478. Where is it?

  479. You know that that's the question.

  480. That's what David's gonna be talking about next week.

  481. When you when you look at the next lesson, where is the church?

  482. Well, you're gonna see it when you read the next chapter four.

  483. Questions before I jump into the next.

  484. Oh, I haven't quite 27.

  485. Where how does he um say that saints are only Jewish?

  486. Well, we can't talk very well.

  487. She she wanted to know where remember I told you about the saints?

  488. We talked about the saints.

  489. She's wanted to know how do we know they're only Jewish?

  490. I don't see that.

  491. Yeah, yeah.

  492. The Gentiles are gone.

  493. Well, then this is saying that I think I think it'll be made clear.

  494. I th I think that'll be made clear once we once you you uh David teaches next week.

  495. But there will be there will be Gentiles saved in the tribunal.

  496. Yeah, there yeah, there will be people in this seven-year period where they will be saved.

  497. Yeah.

  498. And they will be Gentiles.

  499. And they will be saints, but they won't be part of the church.

  500. The church is over.

  501. The church is done.

  502. Yeah.

  503. But that saints, it says it says the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, talking about the millennial kingdom, sh will be there.

  504. Right.

  505. Shall be given to the people, the saints of the most high.

  506. Right.

  507. I'm the saints.

  508. Yeah, right.

  509. Yeah, that can't be.

  510. Well, but he's saying that it's only Jews.

  511. I don't know.

  512. Yeah, yeah, I I I I know you could be.

  513. You were saying that?

  514. The age of the Gentiles comes to an end.

  515. Uh Paul talks about this a little bit in Romans.

  516. Uh right now we're in a period where mostly Gentiles are being brought into the church.

  517. But once Revelation kicks into gear, we're gonna see mostly Jews being brought into the church.

  518. And so what uh Ian said about the Jews are being saved is a general statement that captures what we would see.

  519. We're gonna see, yes, there will be likely some Gentiles that are saved during the tribulation, but they are gonna be the small minority.

  520. The vast majority are going to be people of the Israelites that are being saved during the time of the tribulation.

  521. Yeah.

  522. And those are the saints.

  523. Yeah.

  524. Okay.

  525. So uh one of the things that this is and this may, this next phase we're going into, this may be what lost you or complicated, and you got confused and all this kind of stuff.

  526. Um and because he because he he talked about these beasts, and then he suddenly jumped into all this other thing about uh Daniel uh and and sevens and all this kind of stuff, right?

  527. So here is what we're looking at now in Daniel 9.

  528. So we're now jumping to Daniel 9, and Daniel is reading the books, and he he reads something and he makes a mistake in understanding it.

  529. He thinks it's something and it's not.

  530. That's the mistake.

  531. And then he has a confession about it, and then he God has to correct him, so he sends Gabriel to correct him.

  532. This is too important not to get this right.

  533. And so Gabriel has to go and correct him.

  534. And then there's an explanation.

  535. So let's look at this quickly.

  536. So uh it says here in 9 1, in the first year of Darius, the son of Aseri, I'm not even gonna say that, of median descent.

  537. Now, who is median descent?

  538. The Medes.

  539. So we're done with Babylon.

  540. This is what?

  541. It's the first year.

  542. So the Medes and the Persians have taken over Babylon, and uh the Babylonian gold phase is over.

  543. Now we're in the Med phase.

  544. Okay?

  545. So he's reading, and we know now the time, we know now the timeline.

  546. And in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, observed in the books, so he was sitting there reading books, not book, books.

  547. And we know he was reading probably Jeremiah and probably Leviticus and some other things.

  548. Stephen brought that out if you listen to the lesson.

  549. And uh Daniel observed in the books the number of the years which was revealed as the word of the Lord to Jeremiah the prophet for the completion of the desolations of Jerusalem.

  550. Now remember, one of the characteristics of the Gentiles, remember there were three of them.

  551. One of them was what?

  552. Control of Jerusalem.

  553. Yeah.

  554. And so he's reading and he and he sees there the completion, the completion of the desolation of Jerusalem, namely 70 years.

  555. Well, he This is the 69th year.

  556. Yeah.

  557. This he this is the 69th year.

  558. And he's going, whoa.

  559. He's excited.

  560. It's it's over.

  561. And I think Stephen brings out he's probably 80 something.

  562. It's excited at 80.

  563. Are you anybody here, 80?

  564. Are you excited?

  565. You know?

  566. So he's going, whoa, whoa, this is the end.

  567. Uh but he makes a mistake.

  568. He's thinking, and I'm just gonna jump ahead and briefly talk about it.

  569. I'm not gonna go into it.

  570. He's he's thinking that this is the the desolations of Jerusalem is over, and the kingdom's gonna come in.

  571. The smashing of the feet.

  572. The whole he's thinking that this is the ushering in of the kingdom.

  573. Now, does anybody know what the mistake is?

  574. He didn't account for a cause.

  575. Yeah, yeah, that.

  576. Yeah, and we'll we'll talk about that.

  577. But what what what was the 70?

  578. He they were taken into captivity to Babylon for 70 years.

  579. Why were they taken into captivity for 70 years?

  580. Yeah, yeah.

  581. Now, this is the Levitical stuff.

  582. Remember, they were told you can work the land for six years, and you gotta let it rest for seven on the seventh.

  583. And we will give you God will give you a double portion on the sixth, so that you'll have enough to get through the seventh.

  584. Right?

  585. And what did they do?

  586. Double dips.

  587. We double dipped.

  588. They said, hey, we'll get the double, and we'll work the seventh.

  589. They got greedy.

  590. Yeah.

  591. So God says the land is gonna get its rest.

  592. And that's what we're talking about here.

  593. We're not talking this is the confusion, this is the mistake.

  594. We're not talking about the the end of the Gentile age.

  595. We're talking about the end of your payback time for the, because they did that for 490 years, which was 70, they they owed God 70 Sabbaths.

  596. Okay?

  597. Does that make sense?

  598. And that's what he was confused about.

  599. That's what he was confused about.

  600. He thought it was the kingdom.

  601. And so he has to, that's why he sends Gabriel and says, no, no, no.

  602. This is this.

  603. That's what you can, this you paid your time now, but that's not the end of the Gentile age.

  604. Let me explain the end of the Gentile age.

  605. So one of the things is, and this is his confession and his prayer, is he thinks, he thought that, because he had read in the books, that when the when the kingdom comes, as a nation, they're gonna confess to God and pray to God of their rebellion and everything, and and it's a national prayer.

  606. And he he thinks that this is it.

  607. So he starts that national prayer.

  608. He he thinks, my gosh, this is it.

  609. This is the end of the Gentile age, so I'm gonna start the national prayer and uh and bring back the kingdom.

  610. That's what this next part is.

  611. So I gave my attention to the Lord God to seek him by prayer and supplications with fasting and sacklos and ashes.

  612. I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed and said, O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps the covenant and loving kindness for those who love.

  613. Love him and keep his commandments.

  614. We, he's praying on behalf of the nation.

  615. We have sinned, committed iniquity, acted wickedly and rebelled, even turning aside from your commandments and ordinances.

  616. Okay, where does he get that from?

  617. This is where he gets that from.

  618. In Leviticus 26, 40 it says, if they, the nation, confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their forefathers, in their unfaithfulness which they committed against me, what was the greatest iniquity that the nation of Israel has done?

  619. Killed! They killed their Messiah.

  620. That's the iniquity of the forefathers.

  621. By the way, if you read Stephen's other lessons in Matthew, that's the unpardonable sin for that generation, not for future generations.

  622. There was no turning back from that as a nation at that particular time.

  623. That's what this is talking about.

  624. In their unfaithfulness, which they committed against me, and also in their acting with hostility against me.

  625. Hostility?

  626. They killed the Messiah.

  627. They killed the one I sent to them.

  628. Then, once they confess, as a nation, once they confess that they did that, look what he's going to do in 42.

  629. Then I will remember my covenant with Jacob, and I will remember also my covenant with Isaac and my covenant with Abraham as well, and I will remember the land.

  630. Most people don't think of Leviticus as a prophetic book.

  631. So here there's coming a time, and I think we mentioned it last week.

  632. It talks about it in Zechariah, where they remember what it said?

  633. They will look on him whom they pierced.

  634. And there's a mourning and there's a turning.

  635. That time is coming.

  636. And it's in the seven-year period we're going to look at, we're going to start looking at next week.

  637. God takes his focus off the church, us, now puts it back on Israel, and at the end of that seven-year time, its focus is on Israel, back to Israel.

  638. And they will do this.

  639. As a nation, they will repent.

  640. And then he comes down and smashes and redeems his people and sets up his kingdom.

  641. But he's not going to do it until they do that as a nation.

  642. So this is his correction.

  643. Now, while I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of the people of Israel and presenting my supplication before the Lord on my God on behalf of the holy mountain of my God.

  644. While I was still speaking in prayer, then the man Gabriel.

  645. Where am I?

  646. 21.

  647. Whom I had seen in a vision previously came to me in the extreme weariness about the time of the evening offering.

  648. He gave me instruction and talked to me and said, Oh, Daniel, I've now come forth to give you insight with understanding.

  649. Remember Stephen mentioned about insight and understanding?

  650. Can you have insight without understanding?

  651. Yeah, yeah.

  652. He had the insight.

  653. He just didn't understand what it all meant.

  654. He thought it was something, and it was something different.

  655. So he's coming to give him an understanding.

  656. At the beginning of your supplication, the command was given, and I've come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed.

  657. So give heed to the message and gain understanding of the vision.

  658. Now he talks about this in Daniel 9.24.

  659. Seventy weeks, not seventy years, seventy weeks, have been decreed for your people and your holy city.

  660. So the nation, the people of the Jewish nation, the holy city is Jerusalem.

  661. Look what it says: to finish the transgression, to make an end to sin, of sin, to make atonement for iniquity.

  662. What's that?

  663. What's atonement for iniquity?

  664. Christ.

  665. To bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place.

  666. So he's telling him here you've got seventy weeks.

  667. Now the word weeks means it shouldn't say weeks.

  668. It should actually say seven.

  669. The word weeks is Shavat, and Shivat just means seven.

  670. It doesn't mean weeks.

  671. Okay?

  672. So it's seven, seventy times seven.

  673. Got that?

  674. So it's seventy-sevens.

  675. How many years is that?

  676. Tells you on this, tells you on the screen.

  677. 490.

  678. And then you go, well, is that 490 days?

  679. Is that 490 weeks?

  680. 490 months?

  681. 490 years, or whatever.

  682. I'm not going to go into detail, but if if you study it enough, you'll realize it's years.

  683. We're talking about years, 490 years.

  684. Because it doesn't fit.

  685. It doesn't fit if it's days.

  686. It doesn't fit if it's weeks or months or okay?

  687. It's years.

  688. 490 years.

  689. Now notice it's divided into uh three blocks.

  690. I think I've got it on the last, on the very last sheet.

  691. It's down there.

  692. Three blocks.

  693. It's down there at the bottom.

  694. Yeah, the three blocks.

  695. Let me get let me raise it up here.

  696. So the first block is seven sevens.

  697. And that's this first one.

  698. And that it tells you in there that right here, from the issuing of a decree to restore and build Jerusalem, there will be seven weeks.

  699. See how he's underlined this with orange?

  700. You read the orange, you just read the orange by itself.

  701. Don't don't read the blue in between there.

  702. So he says, from the issuing of decree to restore and build Jerusalem, there will be seven weeks.

  703. It will be built again with plaza moat, even in times of distress.

  704. So that's the first seven, seven sevens.

  705. A decree was issued and the walls and Jerusalem is rebuilt.

  706. Well that happened with Cyrus.

  707. Okay?

  708. He issued that decree, but it was after this, after the Babylonian stuff.

  709. It was in the other one, in the Medes and Persian time.

  710. Okay?

  711. So that's the first one.

  712. Then it says, uh, until Messiah the Prince and 62 weeks.

  713. So who's the who's uh Messiah the Prince?

  714. Christ.

  715. So now we're gonna have 62 sevens, and that's when the Messiah is killed.

  716. So this is giving you a timeline, and he's trying to fix Daniel's misunderstanding of it.

  717. Okay, so those are long years.

  718. Then it talks about this last one, 927, and this is the third one.

  719. And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week.

  720. Because if you take 62 and 60 and 7, that's 69.

  721. Well, you have to have 70.

  722. So there's a week missing.

  723. Hey, go ahead.

  724. Go ahead and read 26 so the people that's on the recording can.

  725. Oh, yeah.

  726. Then after 62 weeks, the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing.

  727. And the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary.

  728. And its end will come with a flood, even to the end, there will be war, desolations, and determinants.

  729. Okay, now we know that happened.

  730. Who came in to destroy the city and the sanctuary?

  731. The Romans.

  732. Anybody know what that happened?

  733. 70 AD.

  734. The Messiah's cut off, these guys come in, they destroy the temple, the people are gone.

  735. Okay.

  736. Now notice this third one though.

  737. It's just kind of plonked in there, and it's not it's not linked here.

  738. There's no verbiage here that links it to this up here.

  739. It's just kind of plonked in here.

  740. And it says, and he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week.

  741. But in the middle of the week, how long's a week?

  742. Seven?

  743. What's the middle?

  744. Three and a half.

  745. Oh, where have I heard that before?

  746. You get linking it here?

  747. Something's, we're linking to something else down here with the ten toes and the ten horns.

  748. And what links it to that?

  749. Well, this this this one week, but in the middle of the week, this three and a half pops up here.

  750. So it's telling you that we're talking about this the ten toes deal or the ten horn deal.

  751. And what's he gonna do?

  752. In the middle of the week, he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offerings, and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction.

  753. One that is decreed is poured out, and the one who makes desolate.

  754. You might want to go back and say what he's he makes a covenant with the many and explain that.

  755. Yeah, uh.

  756. Well, you you do it.

  757. Well, so so when it says he makes a firm covenant with the many, the Antichrist is gonna make a covenant with Israel.

  758. And they, and not to get ahead too far, but we know that they're looking at the Antichrist as the Messiah.

  759. He's making that covenant, but he's gonna break it, and that's what it's saying right there.

  760. In the middle of that week, he's gonna break it.

  761. And when Ian was talking earlier about the little horn, he becomes the little horn in chapter six of Revelation that we're gonna see.

  762. He's gonna start rising to power, but he doesn't come to full power until he gets to the three and a half years.

  763. So he's working his way up the ladder in chapter six, getting stronger and stronger and stronger.

  764. And he has this deal he's made with Israel, making them think he's the man.

  765. But when he gets to the three and a half years, then he's gonna come clean.

  766. Come dirty.

  767. I'm not saying this is it, but uh we live in an age of peace.

  768. Trying to figure out peace for Israel.

  769. Does the word Abraham Accords strike a blow?

  770. Does the does that ring a ring a covenant?

  771. Abraham Accords, what are they?

  772. Agreements.

  773. Peace and stripes.

  774. So we see we we see the working together.

  775. We see we see this forming in our day.

  776. What is this about the sacrifice?

  777. But we know they don't sacrifice.

  778. No, no, we're getting we that's big.

  779. Uh the sacrifice thing.

  780. Uh we're gonna get to that.

  781. We're gonna get to that.

  782. It's and I don't want to go in there yet, but it's the i it's the idea of a temple.

  783. They have the temple and they offer their sacrifices again.

  784. They don't they don't have a temple right now.

  785. But but apparently, as we get near the end, there's a temple pops up.

  786. So okay.

  787. So here we have this gap uh where something happens in between here, and we don't know how long, because this one over here with this this part we read about here is is not linked.

  788. Now some people try to link it, but it's it's not, and this is where this uh there's a pause there.

  789. Um look at this.

  790. This is Romans.

  791. So what happened in Romans?

  792. It says, What then?

  793. What Israel is seeking, it is not obtained.

  794. But those who were chosen obtained it, and the rest were hardened.

  795. I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall, did they?

  796. May it never be.

  797. Now we're talking about Israel.

  798. They were hardened, God hardened them.

  799. But by their transgression, what was the Jews' transgression?

  800. What was the number one transgression?

  801. Murder.

  802. Killing Christ, rejecting the Messiah.

  803. That's what that's talking about.

  804. But by their transgression, what does it say?

  805. Salvation has come to the Gentiles.

  806. Do you realize why you're sitting here today believing in Christ?

  807. Do you know why?

  808. Because they rejected him and killed him.

  809. And why?

  810. Make them jealous.

  811. He's gonna, he, and boy, they they they don't like the idea that the church is, you know, we talk about we have the word of God and we have this, and we know the Messiah, and they're going, no, you don't, you know, and they're jealous.

  812. And and God's using that to get them ready for this tin-toed deal where they're gonna just go, oh my gosh, and they're gonna look upon whom they the one whom they pierced.

  813. For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery.

  814. It was not known.

  815. It wasn't known.

  816. Look.

  817. See that remember this pores, this gap?

  818. That's a mystery that nobody knew about.

  819. That's what it says in Romans, right?

  820. It's a mystery.

  821. Well, that's the mystery right there.

  822. And it's 2,000-year mystery.

  823. Yeah, it's known now.

  824. I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery, so that you will not be wise in your own estimation that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until.

  825. Look at this.

  826. Until the fullness of the Gentiles.

  827. The fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

  828. End of the age.

  829. So there is no prophecy at all in the Old Testament of the church.

  830. No.

  831. No.

  832. Maybe not that.

  833. There's things that would might make you think, but there's no exact prophecy of the church.

  834. But it does talk several verses about that the Gentiles will be saved.

  835. But it doesn't say, doesn't call them the church.

  836. Yes.

  837. Yeah, um, I'm not sure if it's the Greek that we go back to as far as Antichrist, but it means instead of Christ.

  838. So we still have Israel right now, or over 90% of Israel does not believe Jesus is the Messiah.

  839. So we got the Antichrist that comes on the scene.

  840. They think he's the Christ.

  841. Right.

  842. That's right.

  843. They may not, they may not at first when they make the covenant, but everything that goes into place makes them think that he couldn't.

  844. And they're going to believe that until he breaks out the big stick, and that's when he says, I'm God.

  845. Then they're going to find out they've been duped.

  846. Okay.

  847. So I I don't know if I confused you even more.

  848. I don't understand that the mystery is the gap.

  849. Yeah.

  850. I don't understand that part.

  851. Because I when I was reading it, I was thinking like how they usually say mystery, which is the mystery of salvation.

  852. Yeah.

  853. That it's the gap.

  854. Yeah.

  855. In this particular case.

  856. There's different mysteries.

  857. That's just one of the mysteries.

  858. I mean, Paul talks about four of them in Ephesians.

  859. So the mystery of salvation, yes, that's good.

  860. But there's also the mystery of the church, it's just another mystery.

  861. I don't expect you to get this all just like I haven't gotten it all.

  862. I mean, I But but what's going to happen, but what's going to happen is, as you cogitate and think about this, as we get into the rest of it, then it's all going to start coming together.

  863. And that's why we need to study this right now, because as we get into this, you're going to see as we get into these other chapters how you're going to say, oh yeah, I remember what Daniel talked about here, and you're going to see how this all comes together.

  864. And if we didn't go through this as we got later into Revelation, you would be totally lost.

  865. Yeah.

  866. It's interesting because I was listening to a man talk about, strangely, how our mind works and how we do learn.

  867. And it was about how bad it is for kids to be generated on a computer in school because we need to write.

  868. You know, and all that.

  869. So anyway, but he said, what our mind is is that we learn in pauses.

  870. What we have studied.

  871. Like you could be out on the playground shooting baskets and thinking about what your history teacher was telling you, and then it's like, then you get it because you're thinking about it.

  872. Because you you our brains are wired where we actually learn in pauses.

  873. Yeah.

  874. And that kind of was what it was like.

  875. Yeah, I I I I know it's not exactly clear, but uh I think as time goes on and as you keep going through this lesson, you're gonna understand it.

  876. You can go back and read it, you can go back and look at it, watch it again.

  877. You gotta you cannot just watch this one time and think, oh yeah.

  878. Because I talk to you a lot of you when you're eating, and you're looking, and almost everybody's going, my God, I don't, I don't understand any of it.

  879. I just went right over my head.

  880. And and it's it's true.

  881. But you can't you're not gonna pick it up just by listening to it one time and then listen to a summary that I'm stumbling my way through trying to explain it.

  882. Well, it's thank you.

  883. But you know what I'm talking about?

  884. We we're trying to understand it.

  885. I'm well we got we have to unpack it first.

  886. Yeah, we unpack it.

  887. It's just like anything you start cleaning out a closet, you gotta unpack it.

  888. You say, now there's no way I'll get through this.

  889. You unpack it, right?

  890. Then after you unpack it, then you start seeing how everything starts going together, and that's what's gonna happen.

  891. Well, that's that's the whole that's the whole thing.

  892. The neat thing is the reason we have to go to Daniel and look at this stuff, though.

  893. The reason we're going back and trying to understand all the stuff about Daniel is because you're not gonna understand the things we're talking about in four on until you understand what we just read.

  894. And so it's gonna become clearer as we go into four.

  895. You know, this horn that pops up, and this grain offering and this sacrifice and this desolation that occurs, all these terms that you read about that we read about in Daniel, those all pop up as we get into the four through 22.

  896. And they're gonna be explained.

  897. Well, four and five will be transitioned.

  898. Four and five will transition us into what we're gonna get into from there.

  899. So yeah, we've got two weeks of transition time.

  900. I don't remember who it was, but even in the apostles' writings before Revelation was written, you could tell they had studied things.

  901. Yeah, yeah.

  902. You they write about things reflecting on what Daniel prophesied, and they're explaining it.

  903. You know, they're not pointing Daniel.

  904. They know because Daniel Yeah, yeah.

  905. Yeah.

  906. That's all they had.

  907. The apostles, all they see.

  908. Yeah, yeah, they knew it.

  909. They knew it.

  910. So okay.

  911. Let's pray.

  912. Father, thanks so much.

  913. I know you can take the mistakes and the misunderstandings, and you can knit it together.

  914. Despite even myself, and and trying to explain it.

  915. You you we rely on your Holy Spirit, we rely on your help, just like Daniel did, and how you intervened.

  916. And we just ask that you would intervene in our lives, in areas if we if we don't understand, we don't see our outfits, it's not sure.

  917. Uh just encourage us and work in our hearts and teach us.

  918. Thank you so much for what we're doing.

  919. Help us to come to grips with the age that we live in.

  920. And we're near the end, and we're soon gonna see you face to face.

  921. And we're all gonna be together, and we're all gonna remember this time together, even when we get there.

  922. How exciting is that! Thanks so much, Lord, for all you do in Christ's name.

  923. Amen.
