Appreciate that.
-
Humble prayer and it went up with Pray that that was a sweet smelling savor.
-
The subject I have on my mind this morning is uh redemption.
-
And uh I uh looked at Webster's to see how they would define that, and uh they said it was uh redeeming was to buy back, was to satisfy a debt, uh was to set free, or in the religious uh confines to deliver from sin.
-
But I think all of those uh would fit in a in a religious situation.
-
But uh we wonder I I guess I wanna look at several things one.
-
I wanna look at why we need redemption who receives the redemption and how is that redemption carried out.
-
And of course, why we need redemption is we know that we're sinners, we've inherited the sin of our father Adam.
-
That's why we say we're sinners by nature, we sinners by practice because even though we wouldn't, like Paul said, Well, those things I would not, those I do, we still sin.
-
So we have we are sinners, and there can't be any sin in heaven.
-
So we have to have that sin taken away.
-
We need that redemption of our sins.
-
Well, who receives that redemption?
-
And I'm gonna start over here in Isaiah 43.
-
It says, But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, fear not, for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine.
-
And we want to remember that God's children are his before they're redeemed, they're his.
-
So we see in both these scriptures that Jacob the Jacobites are going to be the ones that are redeemed.
-
And that brings us to the ninth chapter of Romans.
-
You know, Paul here is is uh recalling the situation with uh Isaac and Rebecca where they had the twin sons and Rebecca was asking the Lord, said these sons are or these are are struggling within my womb.
-
She says, Why is thus and so the Lord told her, He said, There's there's two manner of people, there's two manner of nations within thy womb.
-
They're totally different, and said, The old elder shall serve the younger.
-
And so over here at nine and ten said that not only this, but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac, for the children not yet being born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth, it was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.
-
As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
-
So we see that those that receive the redemption are the Jacobites, the ones that God loved.
-
So we see that that's that answers the who receives it, and then we say, How does that come about?
-
Look over here in First Peter.
-
So the question is, how are we redeemed?
-
For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold, from your vain conversations received by tradition from your fathers.
-
We weren't redeemed by any for any of this.
-
We said that redemption often was a case of satisfying a debt.
-
We had that sin debt that we received from Adam and that we that we have as well.
-
But this this isn't paid by money, not by silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish, without spot, who verily was forordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who by him do believe in God that raised him up from the dead and gave him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God.
-
So we see we're redeemed by the blood of Christ and not by silver and gold.
-
Back over in Ephesians 1 and 7, it says, In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the richness of his grace.
-
It's all by the grace of God, wherein he hath abounded towards us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure, which he had purposed in himself.
-
13 says, In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
-
We're the Holy Spirit seals us with that, waiting for the time that we will be redeemed, and we are the purchased possession, we were purchased with a price with his blood, but we were his all along, but we have to be redeemed.
-
You know, I'll I've thought of this, uh, it's kind of like the uh I thought about a pawn shop.
-
You know, if I if I take my shotgun in there and they give me a hundred dollars or something, then I've got so much time to come back and redeem that shotgun.
-
I've got to pay that price, I've got to pay their interest, whatever other charges they have.
-
But that's my shotgun, it's not theirs, it's mine, and I can come back and I can redeem it.
-
It's been mine all along, but but I have to redeem it.
-
And if I don't redeem it, it's lost.
-
If we're not redeemed, we're lost, but the Jacobites will be redeemed.
-
And uh over in Hebrews 9, Hebrews 9 and 12, he says, Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, he entered once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
-
For if the blood of bulls and goats and ashes of heifer, sprinkling the unclean sacrifice to the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works?
-
And for this cause he is the mediator of the New Testament that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, he has redeemed us from those transgressions that were under the law, which they called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
-
So we're so thankful for this Redeemer that we were redeemed with the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
-
And uh I thought about what Job said over there after all the troubles that he had.
-
He said, I know that my Redeemer liveth.
-
So we're so thankful that we know that that Redeemer, that our Redeemer liveth, and we know that that Holy Spirit gives us that earnest, that expectation that we will have that redemption, that redeeming blood of Jesus Christ.
-
We're sealed with that.
-
We're we're not gonna be lost.
-
We're redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ.
-
Thank you, preacher.
-
Appreciate what Brother Jimmy has preached to us this morning that that uh the old story of redemption.
-
I want to continue on in that same vein of thought about redemption.
-
I want to start in the ninth chapter of Romans.
-
Further down, I kind of talked about some things in the ninth chapter last weekend.
-
Uh, if you're over at DOS and you heard me talking about he uh he would do he would finish the work and it would be done in a short work.
-
The 28th verse, for he will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness, because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.
-
Uh that sacrifice that the Lord made upon the cross was a uh it was a short work when we consider it in the scope of an eternal consequence that from the first sin to the last of every child of God was paid for by him on the cross, and he finished that work.
-
There was something that I I remember talking about in this in this ninth chapter of Romans, it said in the 16th verse, so then is not of him that willeth nor him that runneth, but God that showeth mercy.
-
For the scripture saith, now that's that's an interesting way to to make the scripture sound here, telling us that it's not of him that willeth or thinketh, or him that runneth, that is act, that that makes a difference.
-
It's by the mercy of God.
-
Then he says, For that word for means because, because the scripture saith unto the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might show my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
-
Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will harden.
-
That struck me very interesting that he would bring in the issue of dealing with Pharaoh into this conversation of redemption.
-
Because this is about redemption.
-
Brother Jimmy has laid it out very well about the Jacob and the Esau's, and he loved the Jacob and he hated Esau, so it is the Jacobites that's under consideration of receiving mercy.
-
But then he brings in this, whom he will he hardeneth.
-
Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
-
Thou wilt say to me, Why doth he yet find false?
-
For who hath resisted his will?
-
Nay, O man, but who art thou that replyeth against God?
-
Shall not the things form say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
-
Hath not the potter power over the clay of the same lump make one vessel unto honor and another unto dishonor?
-
What if God willing, now watch this, because this is where we're going to go.
-
Lord willing, you hit you pray that the Lord will help me make sense of what's in my brain.
-
That the Lord will bring spiritual out of this what I'm thinking.
-
What if God willing to show his wrath and to make his power known?
-
Endeared with much long suffering, the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction, and that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he hath afore prepared unto glory, even us whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles.
-
So here he is ushered in this whole thought about Pharaoh and making his wrath known.
-
Making his wrath known.
-
Now, if you have your Bibles, go with me and let's go to the 14th chapter.
-
I want to talk just a little while this morning about a well-known subject, a well-talked about subject, one that gets um alluded to many times in the Bible, throughout the Bible, throughout the prophets, when the Lord would talk to the children of Israel, he would go back to this event of don't you remember, and I'll put it more, don't you remember when I brought you out of Egypt?
-
Don't you remember that?
-
That was a mighty, mighty event.
-
I would put it, I would, well, I don't, it's it's dangerous doing rankings, right?
-
Because rankings will get you in trouble.
-
But I would put it at the very top ten.
-
I would put it in the top five of the events that shadow, foreshadow the Lord's work on the cross.
-
Let's watch it just a little bit.
-
With that comparison in mind, I want you to, I want you to, as we go through this, I want you to think about the the event, which is the Exodus.
-
I want to talk a little while about the Exodus, in particular, crossing the Red Sea.
-
Coming to the sea, crossing the Red Sea, and then getting on the other side.
-
But I really want to focus about in the midst of the sea.
-
In the midst on that dry ground, something very particular, and I will just say it this way to you, my church high pastor, for the first time in all of my ministry, I found a verse that I have never ever contemplated this verse.
-
Because something happens here that it like lit a fire.
-
Literally, it lit a fire in my heart as I read it.
-
And you'll see what I'm talking about in just a moment as we get into this 14th chapter of the book of Exodus.
-
14th is the crossing, 15th is the psalm about the crossing.
-
And then finally, the water of mire.
-
I don't want to go to the water of mire.
-
That's three days after.
-
Um, but I want to I want to get to this midpoint of the sea on dry ground, and I want you to see this verse, and I'll I'll just give you the verse number and you can go look at it, and you'll know where I'm headed.
-
Chapter 14th.
-
Let me make sure I'm telling you the right.
-
14 and yes, chapter 14, verse 24.
-
I have never ever seen the scope of this verse.
-
This this was like this was like an epiphany to see this as the foreshadowing, the one of the greatest foreshadowings of the cross of Christ that I've ever seen.
-
This is a redemptive story.
-
Joseph had been sold into Egypt.
-
He'd been pawned.
-
Just one man.
-
His brothers sold their brother down into Egypt.
-
One man goes down into Egypt.
-
Millions come out.
-
Hundreds of years later, hundreds of Israelites come out of Gaza, not uh Goshen, get my geography, Goshen, where they had been kept and they grew and they grew, and Pharaoh hated it because they grew stronger and stronger, and so they put them in slaves as slaves, they made life hard on them, they made life harder on them, and they pressed down upon them, and they cried to the Lord, and the Lord heard their cry.
-
And God sent his messenger, his deliverer down into Egypt to tell them, let my people, my people go.
-
It's part of the shadow down.
-
My let my people go.
-
They're mine.
-
Let them go.
-
And you remember that whole story.
-
They wasn't going to let them go.
-
And finally, finally, after the tenth plague, Pharaoh said, get out of here.
-
Take what you want, get out of here.
-
Now that's kind of got us up to the 13th, and now we're headed to the 14th, 14th chapter of the book of Exodus, talking about the Exodus of the children of Israel coming out of Egypt, coming out of bondage.
-
And as you think of this, the shadow is, yeah, these are Egyptians.
-
This is a nation, a literal nation of people, a literal leader, Pharaoh, a literal army of soldiers, of chariots, of horses.
-
Horses and chariots get a lot of attention because they're the strength of the army.
-
They're the threat, they're the overriding power to have to overcome.
-
The army are the drivers and they're the fighters and all that, but yet there's a daunting scene of an army chasing you.
-
And so the Lord leads Israel into a box.
-
Where there's no outlet, we've come to those places where we turn on the street and says, No outlet.
-
There's no outlet here.
-
You've got the Red Sea just across from Sinai.
-
You got the Red Sea in front of you, and it's a sea.
-
It's it's salty water sea.
-
It's not a trickle, it's not a it's not a stream.
-
It is a sea of water.
-
And there's there appears to be nowhere out.
-
And on the other side of you, coming into this box canyon, as you kind of get a visual of this thing, it's kind of like being in a box canyon, no outlet, and the army of Egypt is coming behind you.
-
That's what it feels like to them.
-
We're goners.
-
Why in the world would you bring us out here?
-
We could have lived in Egypt.
-
They forgot about we could have been slaves, they took away the straw, they made life hard, they even killed us if we if we got out of line.
-
I mean, there was no good thing back there, but all they could see is the hopelessness of the situation.
-
14th chapter, let's read a little, because I want us to see a few things that are very important.
-
The Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak of the children of Israel that they turn and encamp before Philip, and you read that word if you want, between Migdal and the sea over against Belshapon, before it shall you encamp by the sea.
-
And Pharaoh will say to the children of Israel, will say of the children of Israel, they are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in.
-
And that's what sin seems to feel like.
-
Sin seems to shut us in.
-
Sin seems to be overwhelmingly.
-
I can't un sin.
-
Once I have sinned, there's no getting out of that sin.
-
I'm shut in.
-
And I will harden Pharaoh's heart.
-
I will follow this is one of the I think four places he talks about hardening.
-
And I will, this is the Lord speaking, and I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them.
-
You know, the Lord didn't have to do anything bad to Pharaoh.
-
He just all the Lord does is just let Pharaoh be Pharaoh.
-
Let him do what he naturally will do.
-
If you if you tell a hard-hearted man he can't do something, he is bound and determined to do it.
-
The Lord hardened his heart, that he shall follow after them, and I will be honored upon Pharaoh and upon all his host, that the Egyptians may know that I am the Lord.
-
And they did so.
-
And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled, and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this that we have let Israel go from serving us?
-
That's the way of power of the flesh.
-
We had servants, and why in the world would we let them go?
-
They had forgotten about the ten plagues.
-
They had forgotten about the death of the firstborn, human and beast.
-
Why do we let them go?
-
And he made ready his chariots and took his people with him.
-
Now, as we go through this, I want you to let your mind go away from thinking of these as Egyptians.
-
I want you to think of them as being your sins.
-
Your sin.
-
The very thing that separated you from God, this is what we were under the power of is that is death.
-
We were under the power of death, we were under the power of sin.
-
We were dead and trespasses and sin.
-
We were shut in, as it were, by death and trespasses and sin.
-
So as we go through this, go away from thinking of these as Egyptians and thinking of these as being your sins.
-
Your sin.
-
That which separated you from God.
-
And he took six hundred chosen chariots and all the chariots of Egypt and the captains over every one of them.
-
And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel, and the children of Israel went out with a high hand.
-
Remember, he's now just he's only hardened the hearts of Pharaoh.
-
But the Egyptians pursued after them, and all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh and his horsemen and his army overtook them and camped in camping by the sea, and beside Philharoth before Biliphon, and when Pharaoh drew nigh the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold the Egyptians marched after them, and they were sore afraid, and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord.
-
And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness?
-
Wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us and carried forth out of Egypt?
-
Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptian.
-
Do you know that's the heart of every mankind?
-
There is none that seeketh after the Lord.
-
There's none that doeth righteous.
-
They all all they could see was the present moment.
-
They didn't see what God saw.
-
I don't think they even saw what Moses saw.
-
They only saw what they saw.
-
That's the heart of man.
-
For it hath been better had we served the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.
-
And Moses said unto the people, you've heard this before, fear not, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, for he will show to you today, for the Egyptians whom you have seen today you shall see them again no more forever.
-
Remember, that's a picture of our sin.
-
It's played out in the play of an army after a people, but it is really showing us the picture of that redemption.
-
We were redeemed from a condition we could not get out of.
-
We couldn't get out from under.
-
But he says, fear not, stand still.
-
That is, stand still in your mind, stand still in your intellectually trying to figure this out, stand still in your murmurings, stand still in your doubtings and your unbelief.
-
Stand still in that and j and watch.
-
Just take a look, just watch this.
-
God said on Pharaoh, Shall I show my wrath?
-
And that is to be seen.
-
That is to be seen that wrath that would come upon our sin.
-
The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
-
And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore Christ said unto me, speak to the children of Israel that they go forward, but lift up thy rod and stretch out thy hand over the sea and divide it, and the children of Israel shall go over on dry ground, through the midst of the sea, and I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians.
-
It's not just to the leadership of Egypt, it's now to the Egyptians themselves, the very threat, the very army, the very strength, the chariots, the horses, all the things that threaten you, all the things that hold you back.
-
That's what he hardened them.
-
And they shall follow them.
-
I will get me honor upon Pharaoh and upon all his hosts and upon his chariots and upon his horsemen, and the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gotten me honor.
-
Not before.
-
He's not gonna tell them on the other side of the sea, he's gonna wait till they get in the midst of the sea, right there in that dry ground, right there in that opened up sea.
-
That they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gotten me honor upon Pharaoh, and upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
-
Let me read it this way when I have gotten the honor on that sin that separates me from my people.
-
When I have gotten me honor upon the enemy which is sin, and the angel of the Lord which went before the camp of Israel, watch this.
-
And it's very important right here.
-
And that angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them.
-
You know where he's at right now?
-
He's between the people and the enemy.
-
He's mediating, he's advocating, he's their advocate.
-
He's now pleading their cause, he's being their hero, he's being their captain.
-
And the captain's not a follower, the captain is a leader, and now he has removed himself from leading them, to now he is going to be fighting for them.
-
The pillar of cloud went from before their face and stood behind them, and it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel, and it was a cloud and a dark a darkness to them, to the Egyptians.
-
His darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these so that the ones came not near the other all night.
-
He separated them as it were night and day.
-
There's something big happening.
-
Brother Elton, this is a picture of something big.
-
This is something way upstream that's telling a story of something that is gonna happen.
-
There's gonna be one that's come.
-
The angel of the Lord is going to come, and his name is Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins.
-
And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord caused the sea to go back by strong east wind all that night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided, and the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground, and the waters were a wall unto them on their right and on their left.
-
My friends, this is alluded to so many times.
-
How many times did the Lord say, Don't you remember when I brought you out of Egypt?
-
Don't you remember when I was crucified for you on Calvary?
-
My friend, this is a great picture.
-
He brought him out by dividing the sea.
-
And the Egyptians pursued.
-
You know, you'd think those Egyptians might have thought, I don't think I want to go in there.
-
That don't look like I got a I got all those those Israelites over there, but they're they're going into a very strange deal where the sea stands up and divides, and they are on dry ground and they're walking.
-
It you you'd thought they'd thought, well, there's something miraculous delivering them.
-
They just gone through ten plagues.
-
They just had the power of God shown to them.
-
But I'm gonna tell you, sin is not gonna be finished until it's conquered, until it is finished.
-
Sin will pursue, and sin pursued that day.
-
They went down into the dry ground too.
-
They pursued, and the Egyptians pursued and went in after them to go in the midst of the sea, even all of Pharaoh's horses and chariots and his horsemen.
-
Now we're at the twenty-fourth verse.
-
If you've read it, you kind of know where we're at now.
-
See, and it came to pass that in the morning, wait a minute, it came to pass in the morning watch.
-
It's like six o'clock to nine o'clock.
-
The morning watch is somewhere in the morning, which is the same time that the Lord was taken to be crucified.
-
This, my friends, is a this is a great prelude to what's gonna happen.
-
This and it came to pass in the morning watch the Lord looked upon the host of the Egyptian through the pillar of fire.
-
Through the pillar of fire.
-
Let me let me just let me just drop back here.
-
Again, we have the children of Israel, millions of people walking through the Red Sea in the light.
-
We've got Egyptians pursuing behind in the dark, and what stands here is the pillar of cloud to put darkness, the pillar of fire to look forward.
-
And the angel of the Lord looks to the Egyptians through the fire.
-
Through the fire.
-
My friend, I believe that is a picture of the judgment that God looked through on his son that was hanging upon the cross, who it says in sc in the Corinthians, who was made to be sin, who knew no sin.
-
Who is made to be sin for us who knew no sin.
-
God looked through the fire of his judgment.
-
Yes, friends, it's hard to even think about.
-
That Jesus died for my sins, that Jesus paid the price with his blood, that he died upon the cross for me.
-
He shed his blood for me.
-
He finished that work for me.
-
But all of that finishing the work came from him being looked upon by God, the judge, through the fire.
-
And that's that is a judgment that's hard for me to hard for me to fathom that God would look upon this the son of man that lay down his life for his people.
-
He was he was seen by God the judge through the fire.
-
This was not a peaceful look.
-
This was not a this was not a complacent or even a it wasn't a loving look.
-
God looked upon him and saw him as this angel saw the Egyptians, the enemy.
-
He saw Jesus hanging upon the cross who was made to be sin.
-
He saw him as the enemy.
-
He saw that one through the judgment of God.
-
That's the only way sin cannot pursue anymore, is that it has to be conquered and defeated and brought down to useless and no more having any power.
-
What did God do as he goes?
-
Just think about him looking through here.
-
Let me read it again.
-
And it came to pass in the morning.
-
Watch the Lord looked up to the host of the Egyptian through the pillar of fire and of the cloud and troubled the host of Egypt.
-
Watch how he troubles the host.
-
He took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily, so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the Lord fighteth for them against the Egyptians.
-
And the Lord said unto Moses, you know, he basically rendered that army stagnant, no more movement, no more.
-
A chariot loses its wheels, it's just dead weight.
-
And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, upon their horsemen.
-
And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared, and the Egyptians fled against it, and the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
-
Now watch this, and the waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen and all the All the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them, there remaineth there remaineth not so much as one of them.
-
Not a one of those Egyptians came out of that sea alive.
-
It consumed all of them.
-
My friends, when the angel of God, the there that angel saw his enemy, and he ordered all of those things finished, all of them to be consumed, all of them to be defeated, not a one of them are gonna be left to come out of there.
-
And the waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen, all the hosts of Pharaoh came out of the sea, and there remaineth not so much as one of them.
-
But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and the left.
-
Thus the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and the is and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the shore.
-
They saw the victory.
-
They saw the result of God fighting between them and their enemy.
-
And Israel saw that great work which the Lord did upon the Egyptians, and the people feared the Lord and believed the Lord and his servant Moses.
-
Moses would sing a song after that.
-
That's another.
-
Go read the 15th chapter, and you'll you'll hear the words of the song of Moses after that great deliverance.
-
I don't read where there was one Israelite that perished in that Red Sea.
-
Every one of them was brought out to the other side.
-
Every one of them was delivered from their enemy.
-
And so it is, my friends, that when Jesus Christ went upon that cross of Calvary, when he became that lamb of God that was slain and that stood in heaven victorious, as it were, a lamb that had been slain.
-
My friends, he is victorious over all of the enemy, over all of that which separated us from God.
-
It was foreshone here.
-
The point was that I'm trying to make here is that the Lord looked through that pillar of fire.
-
He looked at the atoning Savior, and he saw him through the judgment until it was finished.
-
The good news for us, my friends, is that we hear the Lord speaking.
-
It is finished.
-
It is finished.
-
He drank that cup and he bowed his head and he gave up the ghost.
-
He went back to the Father, Father, in thy hands I commend my spirit.
-
That judgment had been had been made upon him, but he finished the work.
-
Isaiah, it says, when he saw of the travail of his soul, he was satisfied.
-
There's not a chariot of sin, there's not a horse or a rider of sin that could be lodged against one of God's children, because he looked through the fire and saw the finished, the finished work of the Savior of Christ that paid the price, that finished the work, that was taken down and buried in a rich man's tomb, that he borrowed for three days and three nights.
-
But when they came back, they found the stone open and rolled away, and the very tomb that they laid him, it was empty.
-
And he was seen of forty days, and he was he was witnessed of by multitudes, and he has been recorded about, and he's been preached, and he's been believed that he is still the risen Savior.
-
That, my friends, is our deliverer, our redeemer.
-
I know that my redeemer liveth.
-
I know my redeemer liveth and abideth forever.
-
I thank you for your attention this morning.
