Shalom, beloved. You are warmly welcome to today's Morning Glory devotion.
-
I am delighted to be coming your way again with
-
another inspired devotional written by Pastor Indignus Boiffo. Let us
-
begin by sharing a word of prayer. Father, we give
-
you thanks for the gift of life in you and
-
that we can be transformed into your image the more
-
we behold your face in your word. Amen. Let us
-
kindly take our confession for today from Joshua chapter 1
-
verse 8. Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. This book of
-
the law shall not depart out of my mouth. but
-
I shall meditate in it day and night, that I
-
may observe to do according to all that is written
-
in it. For then I will make my way prosperous,
-
and then I will have good success. Amen. Today's message,
-
written by Pastor Endiknes Bwafo, is titled, JOIN GOD'S SEARCH
-
PARTY Join God's search party. Our scripture reading shall be
-
taken from Luke chapter 15, verse 1 to 7. Luke
-
chapter 15, verse 1 to 7. I'll be reading from
-
the NKJV. Then all the tax collectors and the sinners
-
drew near to him to hear him. And the Pharisees
-
and scribes complained, saying, This man receives sinners and eats
-
with them. So he spoke this parable to them, saying,
-
What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he
-
loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in
-
the wilderness and go after the one which is lost
-
until he finds it? And when he has found it,
-
he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he
-
comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying
-
to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my
-
sheep which was lost. I say to you that likewise
-
there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner
-
who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. Amen.
-
Join God's search party. Picture a small town late at night.
-
A family's child has gone missing. Within hours, neighbors and
-
strangers gather on the front lawn to form a search party.
-
They do not know the family personally, but as they
-
see the parents' tears and feel the crushing weight of
-
their panic, The burden becomes their own. They leave their
-
warm homes. They grab flashlights, walk difficult trails in the dark,
-
and call out into the cold night air. Why? Because
-
sympathy alone is not enough. When a life is on
-
the line, love drives people into action. This is the
-
picture Jesus gives us of the kingdom of God. When
-
a single ship wandered away into the mountains, the shepherd
-
left the 99 to search until he found it. Heaven
-
is not indifferent to the one who is lost. The
-
Lord declares that he has no pleasure in the destruction
-
of the broken, but desires that every wandering soul would
-
turn back to him and leave. And then Jesus turns
-
to us and says, As the Father has sent me,
-
I also send you. We have been invited to join
-
God's search party in seeking and saving the lost. We
-
are called to carry the light of his mercy into
-
our streets, our workplaces, our homes and on social media.
-
The terrain may be rough at times. Reaching out to
-
hurting people can be tiring, frustrating and even painful. But
-
the value of a single soul far outweighs the hardship
-
of the journey. You do not have to carry this
-
burden in your own strength. God does not call you
-
into the dark unequipped. He comes along offering His Spirit,
-
His wisdom, His patience. and all that is needed to
-
sustain you every step of the way. Dear one, do
-
not fold your arms in indifference. Look around you. Let
-
the Father's concern move your heart until His desire to
-
save becomes your daily prayer. When a wandering child comes
-
home and joy breaks out in heaven, you'll know that
-
every step taken in love was worth it. Amen. Our
-
memory verse is taken from John 20, 21. John 20, 21.
-
From the NKJV. As the Father has sent me, I
-
also send you. Amen. Let us kindly share a word
-
of prayer Father, we thank you for being the Father
-
who does not leave the one behind. We thank you
-
for your love that meets us in our lost state
-
and draws us to you. Help us to show this
-
love to those around us who need it. Help us
-
to receive this love as you would have us do. Amen.
-
God richly bless you for being an active participant of
-
today's morning glory devotion. Kindly join us again for another
-
episode tomorrow by God's grace. Continue to stay tuned to
-
Radio HCI today for more spirit-filled content. Until we come
-
your way again, stay blessed. Shalom.
