  1. Hey, I'm Pastor Forrest, and welcome to the Multiply Church Podcast.

  2. Each week we open God's word together to help you meet God and multiply good in your everyday life.

  3. We're so glad that you've taken time to join us for this week's sermon.

  4. And if you haven't already, be sure to subscribe and follow us on social media so you never miss a message.

  5. Now, let's dive into this week's sermon.

  6. I had a good start to the week where we get to meet the beginning of the week with some contractors.

  7. The space next door is where plans of making this space for youth and for kids next door to us.

  8. And I got to meet with some contractors, which is great.

  9. So when we get our permits for construction back from the state, we're ready to go.

  10. And then, you know, end of the week with a big win at K State with the breads, go breads.

  11. And with UK winning last night, it was a lot of fun.

  12. Had a good weekend.

  13. A couple weekends ago, I took the family.

  14. We were going over to a state park and we're driving kind of out on back roads, and I missed the turn to get to the state park.

  15. And so I'm going down this small road and see somewhere to turn around and a driveway.

  16. I might finally pulled into this driveway only to pull into it and see this giant metal gate with five no trespassing signs on it.

  17. And not only that, three trail crams on there that's just snapping my picture in a picture of our vehicle.

  18. So my picture is in some crazy guy's basement on the wall right now.

  19. Um you pull it pulled into that driveway, but immediately treated like an intruder or an outsider.

  20. Uh take that in comparison to my wife, Emily, and how uh our house, like I'll just find out from like our babysitters and stuff.

  21. I asked, like, you know, do you need to get in the house?

  22. And I say, Oh, I got a key.

  23. My wife is an Oprah Winfrey of house keys.

  24. She's like, You get a key and you get a key and you get a key and you get a key.

  25. Just completely different experiences.

  26. One, you can uh pull into a driveway and immediately be an intruder, or you could also be included.

  27. And some people feel that way about church.

  28. Come in to church and it can be unfamiliar, unfamiliar people.

  29. What what's this church like?

  30. What are the expectations?

  31. There's different language and jargon that's used.

  32. People have history and friends who are already in the church.

  33. And so coming in sometimes to a church can be very intimidating.

  34. What's this gonna be like?

  35. And feeling like you're on the outside.

  36. Or also, too, you know, think about as well, somebody who's been in church for a long, long time, and they know all the songs and they know the stories, but they're really just kind of riding off of their family heritage, and it's you know, this is really just grandma's thing.

  37. You ask somebody where to go to church, and they say, you know, well, I go to my grandma's church every once in a while.

  38. They grew up in it, but are they actually really fully in?

  39. Because there's a difference between being welcome to church and belonging to the family of God.

  40. So, what it means to belong to the family of God means that you have put your personal faith, trust into the person of Jesus, the Son of God, his death, burial, and resurrection.

  41. You have trusted it for the forgiveness of your sins, for you to move from death to life, for you to belong.

  42. And just because you're in church doesn't mean that you have made that decision.

  43. Just because you're in a garage doesn't mean you're a car.

  44. Just because you're in church doesn't mean that you are a Christian.

  45. Have you actually become a part of the family of God?

  46. You know, people will mistake their family heritage as their own spirituality, and really it just needs to be said clearly that grandma's faith is not the same as your faith.

  47. It has to be something your own.

  48. It has to be something that you actually understand and believe and walk in, and your home now is a place that is a place that is dedicated to the Lord.

  49. Today the message is called the way home.

  50. And as we talk about one house in particular, we've been walking through the book of Acts, which is the story of the beginnings of the Jesus movement in the scripture with the disciples, and we see now I've been walking through the last few weeks, Jesus has promised to us in Acts chapter 1, verse 8, that you will be my witnesses when the Holy Spirit comes upon you in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

    Acts 1:8

  51. And over the last few weeks, we've looked at what God did in Jerusalem with Pentecost and the Holy Spirit coming down and thousands of people coming to Christ.

  52. And the last couple of weeks we talked about the gospel spreading into Judea and Samaria and breaking down barriers and borders and going into places where it has not been.

  53. And today, as we talk about this Sunday, this breaking out from Judea, Samaria, and the beginnings of what that's gonna happen in this breakthrough to the nations and to the ends of the earth to us today in Frankfurt, Kentucky, in 2026.

  54. And so before we get into the scripture today, that's gonna zoom in on one particular house, I want to just set the stage of where we are.

  55. We ended last week as we talked about Philip who had gone into Samaria and crossed borders and we talked about one specific person, Simon the Sorcerer, who gave his life to Jesus.

  56. And then Philip, then, after this encounter, he's taken beyond Samaria and he meets this Ethiopian official on the road, who then he baptizes, and then the gospel then spreads into Africa, to Ethiopia.

  57. And then in Acts chapter 9, this huge moment happens.

    Acts 9 chapter mention

  58. As Saul, who we saw last week, Saul, who is this religious leader who was literally murdering people who were following Jesus, and stood and approved over the very first martyr in the scripture, Stephen, who died for his faith, and Saul, who is this religious leader, is standing and approving, and then he begins to go house to house, ripping men and women out of their houses, taking them to jail for them following this new way.

  59. And as Saul is on his way to Damascus, even farther north, Jesus appears to him on the road and asks him why he is persecuting him.

  60. And Paul is then transformed into Paul, the Apostle Paul, who would soon be one of the most prolific missionaries of human history, and to pin multiple of the letters of the New Testament.

  61. He's blinded, and then his sight is restored a few days later.

  62. He's baptized, and we see that Paul gets the commission that he's to take the gospel to the Gentiles, which are these people who are not Jews.

  63. So the Bible word for those who are not Jews is Gentile.

  64. So if you're in the house today and you didn't grow up a Jew, congratulations, you're a Gentile.

  65. You now know.

  66. Take the gospel to the Gentiles, to the kings and to Israel, and then the camera pans back to Peter.

  67. Peter, who's been the leader of the Jerusalem church and of the disciples, and how he's it's following Peter as he's seeing people be healed.

  68. And then he goes to this place, Joppa, this coastal city, and raises this lady Tabitha from the dead.

  69. There's amazing Holy Spirit, miraculous work that's going on.

  70. And as we enter into the chapter today of Acts chapter 10, we're gonna look at these two people.

    Acts 10 chapter mention

  71. Peter, whose miraculous signs and wonders are happening through, and then an outsider named Cornelius.

  72. Cornelius, who is a Roman centurion, which means he was a commander of 80 to 100 Roman soldiers.

  73. He's a Gentile.

  74. He's not in the family of faith and of God yet.

  75. Actually, not only that, he's one of he's the oppressor in the situation.

  76. He's a Roman centurion that literally is occupying this land that they're in, and he's the one, he's he's this guy's like the bad guy.

  77. But the Bible says something very interesting about Cornelius.

  78. He was in this category of what was called a God fearer, somebody who was outside of the Jewish faith, but was someone who prayed to God, who was generous to the poor, who didn't fully follow God because that would have meant that he would have to follow all the dietary laws and leave his position.

  79. He was as a part of Rome.

  80. He hadn't done all that yet.

  81. And God sends an angel to Cornelius to tell him and to go find and go bring this man that he's never met, Peter, to his house.

  82. So Peter's in Joppa, miracles are happening.

  83. Cornelius is miles north in Caesarea, the stronghold of Rome.

  84. And he sends his servants to go get Peter.

  85. Now, while Peter is in Joppa, Peter gets a vision from the Lord.

  86. And it's rather strange.

  87. It's a vision of this sheet or blanket that comes down from heaven.

  88. It's filled with animals.

  89. It's like a whole zoo.

  90. And God tells Peter that that which has been unclean is now clean that he should eat.

  91. Now, this is very controversial for Peter.

  92. He actually fights with the Lord and says, No, Lord, I'm not going to eat of this.

  93. And what's going on here is there's all of these dietary laws and rules that he was following as a devout Jew.

  94. And God is giving him this vision that he should now not call anything unclean.

  95. And what God is doing is preparing him for this encounter with this outsider, Cornelius, who also for Peter would be unclean.

  96. And so as we enter into the second half of Acts 10, we're going to start with this looking at this house, and we're entering in in this the doorway.

  97. The doorway into Cornelius' home.

  98. The doorway for us now to be in Christ.

  99. And Cornelius calls Peter to come to his house.

  100. And we'll start in Acts chapter 10.

    Acts 10 chapter mention

  101. Verse 24 and skip down to 28.

  102. If you have your Bible, you can turn there.

  103. If it's your Bible's on your phone, pull this out, Acts chapter 10.

    Acts 10 chapter mention

  104. Important note here in verse 24.

  105. They arrived in Caesarea the following day, and Cornelius was waiting for them and had called together his relatives and close friends.

  106. Cornelius has called for Peter to come, and he's not just waiting to have this one-on-one meeting with him.

  107. Cornelius has gathered his friends and family into his home.

  108. And so Peter, at verse 28, as he crosses over this threshold, he says this.

  109. Let me pause there.

  110. Peter walks into this house and he makes it incredibly awkward.

  111. He steps in and says, Hey, you know that I'm not breaking my own religion here.

  112. I'm breaking my own religious laws right now just by crossing through this doorway.

  113. Because for a Jew, for them to enter into a non-Jew or enter into a Gentile home, that would have then made them unclean.

  114. And the laws that would have made Peter, he would have had to go and to be washed.

  115. He would have had to have separation from worshiping in the synagogue for a time.

  116. But now there's this new era that's about to begin.

  117. As now he steps through this threshold and crosses over the barrier, and he says, God has shown me that to no longer think of anyone as impure or unclean.

  118. Verse 29.

  119. So I came without objection as soon as I was sent for.

  120. Now tell me why you sent me.

  121. Cornelius replied, Four days ago I was praying in my house in this same time, three o'clock in the afternoon.

  122. Suddenly a man in dazzling clothes was standing in front of me, and he told me, Cornelius, your prayers, your prayer has been heard, and your gifts to the poor have been noticed by God.

  123. Now send messengers to Joppa and summon a man named Simon Peter.

  124. He is staying in the home of Simon, a tanner who lives near the seashore.

  125. So I sent for you at once, and it was good for you to come.

  126. Now we're all here waiting before God to hear the message the Lord has given you.

  127. Peter crosses this threshold, goes through the doorway, and here's Cornelius.

  128. Cornelius, who is us, Gentiles, who are waiting for him with his friends and family, to hear what Peter has to say.

  129. And it's like this doorway is completely opened for an encounter with God.

  130. And I want you just to think about the fact that Peter is the one that's going to them.

  131. And I know for me, oftentimes I think, especially being a pastor, that people just assume, I just assume people know what I believe.

  132. When I tell people I'm a pastor, it's awkward a lot of times.

  133. They're like, what do you do for a living?

  134. I'm gonna do a pastor.

  135. One lady said, Ooh, why would you want to do that?

  136. Literally, that's what she said.

  137. I don't know what's going on in her past, but it's easy for me to just assume, like, okay, well, you know, I tell somebody as a pastor, like that I'm a pastor, they know what I believe, they know, have heard about Jesus.

  138. Maybe for you, there's people in your life that you just assume that they know who Jesus is.

  139. Do you just assume that they are following Jesus?

  140. You just assume they're a Christian, and you know, you don't necessarily want to bring it up because it may be awkward, or you don't want to come off as being pushy.

  141. Or maybe you don't feel qualified.

  142. It's like, ah, you know, I'm not, I'm not gonna talk to that person about Jesus.

  143. Well, they ask me a question I don't know about.

  144. Why don't they ask me about the crusades or evolution or something?

  145. I don't know what to say.

  146. And what we see Peter do is cross over that barrier and cross over that border and cross over that threshold so that there's a moment so that the door can be open for the gospel, and we too need to be walking with God and us to make open doors for the gospel as well.

  147. Not just saying, well, you know, I'm sure they already believe, or I don't even know enough to talk about that.

  148. Uh I don't know, I don't know, I couldn't possibly do this.

  149. You've got to leave your home field advantage and go to them.

  150. Okay.

  151. Uh I'll put it to you this way.

  152. Uh K-State won big yesterday, 46 to 0 for homecoming.

  153. Go breads.

  154. Woo! Yes.

  155. And uh years ago, when we were trying to just serve different ways on campus, and church was starting to get going and moved here five years ago.

  156. I'm not an alumni, so we're just meeting people and trying to get connections to be able to serve students and be on campus.

  157. And there was a lot of closed doors and just you know, not knowing people.

  158. And then out of nowhere, Chuck was a part of church, Chuck somewhere around here, Chuck called and said, Hey, what would you think about uh the church feeding the football team uh this week?

  159. I said, That sounds expensive, but yeah, let's do that.

  160. So we showed up, uh spring ball, and had a Chick-fil-A in tow, uh, ton of Chick-fil-A for uh the team.

  161. And at the time, the interim coach who at the time, Hamilton, we had a conversation and we started having conversation.

  162. He threw me a t-shirt and he said, You're a partner now of the team.

  163. I said, That sounds great.

  164. And he said, You know, you want to do some devotions for the team every once in a while.

  165. I was like, I would love to do some devotions for the team every once in a while.

  166. And so I started doing that, and then when the new coach, Coach Huggins, when he came to the school, I just went up to Coach Huggins and I just said, uh, Coach Huggins, I'm forced, I'm the chaplain of the team.

  167. I just self-appointed myself as the chaplain of the team.

  168. And he's like, Oh, yeah, he's the chaplain of the team, which I you know, it's the I am, you know.

  169. What I'm saying is you gotta you have to make an open door.

  170. Sometimes you gotta kick a door open.

  171. Sometimes that means you need to start that Bible study at your school or at your work.

  172. You need to take that friend to lunch and talk to him about Jesus.

  173. Make the open door.

  174. Are you hearing me?

  175. The second piece of the story, be seated.

  176. The doorway, and then this family that's gathered.

  177. Verse 34.

  178. Then Peter replied, I see this, I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism.

  179. In every nation, he accept those who fear him and do what is right.

  180. This is the message of the good news for the people of Israel that there is peace with God through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.

  181. You know what happened throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee, after John began preaching his message of baptism.

  182. And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

  183. And we apostles were witnesses of all that he did throughout Judea and Jerusalem.

  184. They put him to death by hanging him on a cross, but God raised him to life on the third day.

  185. Then God allowed him to appear, not to the general public, but to us whom God had chosen in advance to be witnesses, and were those who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

  186. And he ordered us to preach everywhere to testify that Jesus is the appointed by God to be judge of all, the living and the dead.

  187. And he is the one all the prophets testify about, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name.

  188. Cornelius says, What's the message?

  189. We're all sitting here, a whole family, we're all ready to hear.

  190. And Peter just goes hard in the paint on the gospel.

  191. He just starts talking all about Jesus and his experience that he had with him as he walked with them, was a witness of him that Jesus was died, died on the cross, and walked out of the grave.

  192. And not only that, then he starts to talk about, he starts to talk about Jesus as the judge of all, and that there's forgiveness that is needed in faith in Christ.

  193. And he talks about this personal faith that comes in the resurrection, that comes in the eternal stakes that there are for your sins to be forgiven through the name of Jesus.

  194. And everybody's there, and everybody's waiting and listening to what's happening, and they're having an opportunity to have an encounter with Jesus.

  195. What I'm saying is we need to be explicit about the gospel.

  196. We need to share about Jesus.

  197. You know what Peter didn't do?

  198. He didn't walk in and say, Well, you know, Cornelius, I hear that you give to the poor.

  199. I heard about the good things that you're doing, you're doing.

  200. Well, you're a good person.

  201. I just respect what you're doing.

  202. You know, in polite society, a lot of times we just have this mentality of like, well, you know, you believe what you believe, and I believe what I believe.

  203. But what we're supposed to be doing.

  204. Is sharing the hope that we have that so many do not have because they do not have Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

  205. Their sins have not been forgiven.

  206. We are the ones that get to take the opportunity, open the opportunity for people to know Jesus.

  207. Now you have these two people.

  208. You have Cornelius, you have Peter.

  209. They don't know each other at all.

  210. They're strangers.

  211. And there are times where Jesus would love for you to take the opportunity to share with a stranger.

  212. If that whole situation you feel led to do it, that's tugging on your heart.

  213. But what's really happening here is that the gospel is being proclaimed in this one house.

  214. This one home.

  215. Is Jesus being proclaimed in your home?

  216. What does that look like?

  217. Are you praying for your meals?

  218. Are those the only prayers that you have together as a family?

  219. Is Jesus being talked about?

  220. Do you know if your family's in the Word?

  221. One of Emily and I's favorite parts of Sundays is once we get home and we're having lunch together with our girls, and we ask them, what was your Bible story today in kids' ministry?

  222. Just to know if they were listening or not.

  223. They were paying attention.

  224. We have a conversation about it.

  225. Every once in a while, our youngest says that there were purple dragons in the story because she's, you know, four years old.

  226. She'll, you know, get going and then just add a few details that weren't really there.

  227. We'll say, I know you did.

  228. Is that really what your story is about?

  229. And then our oldest will be like, no, it's not.

  230. That's not what it was about.

  231. What kind of conversation is happening in your home?

  232. What's Jesus, how is Jesus being proclaimed in your home?

  233. Peter is giving the gospel, and then I love this part of the story.

  234. The Holy Spirit just interrupts him.

  235. He's up here giving a speech, and just boom.

  236. The welcome gift.

  237. Verse 44.

  238. Even as Peter was saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who were listening to the message.

  239. The Jewish believers who came with Peter were amazed that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles, too.

  240. For they heard them speaking in other tongues and praising God.

  241. Then Peter asked, Can anyone object to their being baptized now that they've received the Holy Spirit as we did?

  242. So he gave orders for them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

  243. Afterward, Cornelius asked him to stay with them for several days.

  244. Peter's giving his speech.

  245. How many know that the scripture says that when we're speaking the gospel and when we're speaking, that the Holy Spirit will give us the words to say?

  246. You know, when you're sharing about Jesus, when you're telling your testimony, when you're talking to somebody, it's not you who's speaking.

  247. The Holy Spirit literally has promised to you to give you the words to say.

  248. You're not alone.

  249. As you're talking about your faith, as you're bringing it up, as you're with your family, the Holy Spirit is literally interrupting you and it's just like this, and it's giving you the words to say.

  250. And that's what's happening right now as Jesus is, as Peter is proclaiming Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is now falling for the first time on these Gentiles in this house.

  251. And the same gift that we saw at Pentecost a few weeks ago and Samaria is now in this household.

  252. Now I want you to see this part.

  253. That Cornelius is the one who had this invitation for Peter and walked into Cornelius' home, and he was carrying this message.

  254. And now Cornelius' whole household has had this encounter with God.

  255. Cornelius opened his home to Peter, then God opened his family to Cornelius.

  256. Peter is witnessing to them, and then he goes on to say, as they have the Holy Spirit now, for him to say, what's keeping them from being baptized?

  257. Let's baptize them.

  258. And the household becomes a faith and it's baptized.

  259. The whole family and some friends.

  260. Now we need to take a little detour here for a second.

  261. Um as a thing about family.

  262. Something I've recently been obsessed with is Ancestry.com.

  263. I think it's part of my midlife crisis.

  264. That at some point, you know, you just start getting obsessed with who your ancestors are.

  265. I've been doing ancestry.com.

  266. There's so much thrill that happens when that little green leaf pops up as a hint.

  267. And that whole nother section of a family tree gets opened up.

  268. I've been doing this now for like months and months, maybe a year.

  269. Tons of hours.

  270. I'm trying to fit right now, the last two months, I have been stuck on who is Philip Coleman's father.

  271. I've got through 200 years of my family, and now I'm just looking, where is Philip Coleman's father from 1750?

  272. Is he in Georgia?

  273. Is he in North Carolina?

  274. I'm searching, I'm searching.

  275. Some of y'all understand my frustration, obviously, a lot of you don't.

  276. I mean, I'm like really getting into it.

  277. Years and years later, the apostle Paul is gonna write about this same very same thing that happened in Cornelius' house.

  278. And he's gonna talk about this family tree of God, and he's gonna talk about it as an olive tree.

  279. Look at Romans chapter 11, verse 17.

    Romans 11:17

  280. But some of these branches from Abraham's tree, some of the people of Israel have been broken off.

  281. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in.

  282. So now you also receive the blessing that God promised to Abraham and to his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God's special olive tree.

  283. The promises of God, promises, promise to Abraham, to expand them and to multiply them, and to be a blessing to the nations.

  284. Now, you and I, as Gentiles, we have been grafted into this tree, this agricultural practice, which is taking a branch from a fruit-bearing tree and literally taking the tissues and binding it with another tree and then for it to produce fruit, and we literally now have been grafted in so that we are in the root of the blessing that God promised to us millennia ago.

  285. The promises of God to bring Jesus and us to be grafted into the family of God, that the family tree of God has gotten bigger, and it's grafted into it, not replacing it, not a whole other gentile tree, in the blessing that God has for us.

  286. Blessings come to us, all of which at one point we were broken and separated from God.

  287. And there are still so many people who do not know Jesus, who are broken and separated from Him.

  288. And what we get to do is we get to carry the breakthrough belonging that comes with Christ when we tell people about the good news that we have, this breakthrough belonging that we have in Jesus, that now they can be a part of the family of God.

  289. This that at one point, even you and me, we were broken apart from God, we were separated from God in our sins.

  290. But because of what Jesus did on the cross and his death, burial, and resurrection, now we get to be a part of the family of God.

  291. This is so important to know from the scripture because people will say things that sound really nice and sound really loving and really religious, but don't actually come from the scripture and what Jesus is telling you.

  292. You hear people say all the time, Well, we're all God's children.

  293. No, the truth from the scripture is we're all made in God's image.

  294. Genesis 1 and 2.

  295. But not all of us are in the family of God.

  296. Some of us are broken off and are not yet in the family of God because they have not given their lives to Jesus and are a path and a road to destruction.

  297. And we are the ones who get to expand and see the family of God grow bigger and bigger because of the witness of what Jesus has done in our lives.

  298. It has to be personal.

  299. It has to be your choice, your faith, your decision to be grafted into the family.

  300. I'll put it to you this way.

  301. I I fly airplanes, you know, go to airports and fly on airplanes time to time.

  302. You know, you go to the TSA.

  303. I always get nervous when I go to TSA.

  304. I don't have anything wrong.

  305. I'm just going through that line.

  306. I'm like, I take off my belt, do I not?

  307. Do I all the things I'm trying to think about as I'm going through that line?

  308. Just imagine you go up to the TSA line and you get up there where they ask your ID and you hand them your grandma's ID.

  309. That's not gonna go very well for you.

  310. You're you're probably gonna end up in some room being questioned like you're a terrorist or something.

  311. Can I tell you it's the same way in heaven?

  312. When you get to heaven, you're not getting there on grandma's ID.

  313. Have you been grafted into the family of God?

  314. To your loved ones, the people in your household, the people that you know, when they get to heaven, are they gonna be a part of the family of God?

  315. This was made so real to me.

  316. And just uh last week I told you about a grieving widow of 46 years.

  317. Last week I got to do the funeral of Omer Wise.

  318. Omer was 71, married for 46 years.

  319. And at his funeral, as his family was there, I got to talk about something that this beautiful moment that happened on July the 17th of 2022.

  320. It happened actually in the uh on a Sunday morning in the movie theater lobby, a sticky movie theater lobby that we were meeting in at the time, where Omer had come to me and had made the decision to be baptized.

  321. It was just a few years ago.

  322. And not only did Omer make the decision to be baptized, but also his son and also grandchildren also made the decision to be baptized.

  323. That one Sunday we saw a three-generation baptism.

  324. Grandfather, son, and grandchildren being baptized and grafted into the family of God because they had been bringing their family to church and hearing the gospel, and they had been growing in faith and knowing about Christ.

  325. And I got to stand up in front of his family last week and talk about the fact that Omer, even though he went through cancer and battled all kinds of health problems, that now he's with Jesus, there's no more crying, there's no more tears, there's no more pain.

  326. Omer is with Christ.

  327. Because years ago in a dirty, sticky movie theater, some crazy people at multiplied church proclaim the gospel.

  328. And now their family's been changed, and we've seen it over and over again.

  329. Moms and kids and dads and kids who've been baptized here in this house, and it's amazing to see the hope of the gospel fill a household, and we're gonna see it happen over and over and over again, aren't we, church?

  330. As people are grafted into the family of God, because of what happened in Cornelius' house in Acts 10.

  331. Now you and me, Gentiles, we have the lasting hope of heaven and a place as a son and daughter of the one true king.

  332. I just I want you to imagine with me for a second your household, your friends, and Jesus clearly being spoken and known to them through you, through your testimony, your kids, your friends, and the the difference in the generations that could happen.

  333. We're sitting there today, right now, because of this one household in Caesarea and the Holy Spirit and a group of people hearing the gospel.

  334. Who who is that person?

  335. Who is that person in in your life, that friend who needs you to share about the hope that you have?

  336. What in your home needs to continue to grow and go deeper and your walk with God and your Jesus being spoken about in your home and prayers being prayed with your family and kids knowing about Jesus.

  337. It starts with each one of us being willing to belong to and be known in the family of God in a place like this, but also for Jesus to reign in the households represented in this room.

  338. And for some of you, your step is that you've not yet been grafted into the family of God because you have not yet given your life to Jesus.

  339. Can I tell you, today is your day to accept Jesus as your Savior?

  340. Today is your day so that your eternal destiny will change.

  341. And now you go from dead to alive, from a destination apart from God, separated from God in a place called hell to a place of eternal love in the presence of the Father in heaven.

  342. Maybe that's for some of you today, your decision that you need to make.

  343. I want to ask you to stand to your feet now as I pray over every household that's represented here.

  344. God, as we today have looked at this one household, Father, we pray, God, right now, for every household that's represented in this house.

  345. Lord, we pray for fathers and for mothers and for children and for grandchildren and for grandparents, Lord.

  346. Right now, God, we pray, Father, for our homes to be filled with you, to be strong in you, where you're proclaimed and where you're reigning.

  347. God, thank you, Father, for every home right now and every household that's represented right now on this place.

  348. God, thank you, Father, for people who are single who are here right now, God, who, Lord, are trusting you, Father, as they're walking with you for their future and what you have for them.

  349. God, I just I pray over every single home represented right now.

  350. God, I pray, Lord, that you would do, continue to do a mighty work of salvation, of growing in Christ, of hope going to those that we love as your family gets bigger.

  351. So, God, right now, Lord, I pray and claim right now, Jesus, for your name to be expand, for your name to advance, Lord, through the testimonies of this house and of the homes represented here, Father.

  352. And Lord, right now I pray, God, for everybody here who's a follower of you, who's a Christian, that Lord, you would bring somebody to mind right now, who's somebody who needs to hear the hope that we have.

  353. A friend, a neighbor, a coworker, a classmate.

  354. Lord, bring that picture into our minds and hearts, Lord.

  355. And Father God, we ask, Lord, for you to help us to take the opportunity to proclaim your name.

  356. And God, we're we're we're believing, Lord, and knowing that your Holy Spirit is gonna help us.

  357. So, God, we thank you, Lord, for what has happened, God, in this home we looked at today in the scripture.

  358. But God, what you are, stories you are writing in the homes that right now are in this house.

  359. And we praise you, God, and we thank you, Lord, for the blessing that's gonna come in the mighty name of Jesus.

  360. Everybody send.

  361. Amen.
