  1. Therefore, I would request that we be up studying now so that we can read the word of God.

  2. That is coming from the book of Luke.

  3. Luke chapter 14 from verse 15 to 24.

    Luke 14 chapter mention

  4. And I read from the NIV version when one of those, when one of those at the table with him had this, he said to Jesus, Blessed is the one who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God.

  5. Jesus replied, A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests.

  6. At the time of the banquet, he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, Come for everything is now ready.

  7. But they all alike began to make excuses.

  8. The first said, I've just bought a field and I must go and see it, please.

  9. Excuse me.

  10. Another said, I've just bought five yoke of oxen and I'm on my way to try them out.

  11. Please excuse me.

  12. Still another said, I just got married, so I can't come.

  13. I'm going for a honeymoon.

  14. The servant came back and reported this to his master.

  15. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, go out quickly into the streets and the lays of the town and bring in the poor, the clipped, the blind, and the lame.

  16. Sir, the servant said, What you ordered has been done, but there's still room.

  17. Then the master told his servant, Go out to the roads and count the leans, and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.

  18. Let's continue to the next Luke chapter 22, 29 to 13.

    Luke 22 chapter mention

  19. Luke 22, 29 to 13.

  20. I confer on you a kingdom, and I confer on you a kingdom, just as my father conferred one on me.

  21. This is Jesus telling his disciples, so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

  22. Assignment already given.

  23. Heavenly Father, Lord God Almighty, your word reminds us that we seek fast the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and the rest shall be added unto us.

  24. Thank you for the table that you have prepared for us this very morning and on this very day, the 27th of September, the year 2026.

  25. We don't want it to count it like any other Sunday.

  26. Father, we are inviting your Holy Spirit to speak to us on a personal level and also as corporate as a family.

  27. Oh Jehovah King of glory.

  28. Use me as your servant, O Jehovah King of glory, that even as I communicate, I utter your oracles.

  29. And may the Rima word transform and change and bring lighting and understanding even to the simple.

  30. This is our prayer this very afternoon.

  31. In the name of Jesus, we pray and believe.

  32. Amen.

  33. Amen.

  34. Let's have our seat, even as we listen and be ministered by the Holy Spirit on this text.

  35. Liberated power of the kingdom, new creation connected, seated at the king's table, a great banquet.

  36. And as we do this, I would like to personalize it so that we get and understand the context.

  37. This is the table that has been prepared for us.

  38. I believe, if not all we have ever been invited into a banquet, give and take maybe a wedding or a prayer, like the national prayer breakfast, whereby you receive a card and your name on it.

  39. You have been invited to this event.

  40. And this will be the dress code, this will be the time.

  41. You'll be seated on the table.

  42. This and when you receive that card, you feel honored, you feel appreciated, isn't it?

  43. You feel great.

  44. Particularly when women are called for the wedding, they even take time to prepare.

  45. They either go to the Tara, you make that dress, you buy maybe a new shoe, so that you can honor the one who invited you.

  46. Unfortunately, sometimes men, as we just walk with our jeans, pocketing.

  47. But for the ladies, particularly on this side of Africa, prof, they know how to dress.

  48. And we honor the ladies.

  49. Because they never let us down onto that.

  50. And so, as we have led there, there is a table that has been prepared for us.

  51. And this table who has prepared it?

  52. The King of Kings.

  53. What is our role?

  54. Just to appear, just to appear, isn't it?

  55. And so when a table has been prepared for us, for you just to appear, dressed and ready to encounter and to attack whatever has been prepared for you.

  56. And therefore, on the at the table, at the king's table, it's a place of provision.

  57. Everything has been provided.

  58. You don't have to carry anything.

  59. You don't have to carry anything.

  60. Everything has been prepared, has been provided for you to come and partake of it.

  61. But above that, at the king's table, it's a place of honor and access.

  62. As I said, when you see the card that is bearing your name, you feel honored.

  63. But now you have the access.

  64. When you ask where are you going?

  65. You show the card.

  66. Okay, okay, pass.

  67. You show the card pass.

  68. You're even given the parking area.

  69. Over the years, since we encountered since 2022, when you engage with the ambassadors, there's one ambassador every year.

  70. She invites us to go and celebrate when the nation is celebrating their kind of a united day or their the year when they got independence.

  71. When that nation became together.

  72. And so every year we get that card with a personalized name.

  73. And so it's usually a very humbling moment.

  74. You appear, but the next the other part of the guests in that gathering are ambassadors.

  75. And so you appear, your card doesn't have a flag, doesn't have a red number plate, but you appear because you have a card that bears your name.

  76. So if whoever stops you, when you show the card, oh, they see these are guests of the ambassador.

  77. So even park next to where the other ambassadors have parked.

  78. You being an ambassador of the kingdom, praise Jesus.

  79. So when you understand that you're there, oh, this is what it means to be honored and to have access.

  80. You can't just appear.

  81. And that's why Jesus is reminding us this very morning that we are honored and we have the access.

  82. Bon as if you but that thing is that, and the king's table, it's a place of fellowship and assignment.

  83. Not just eating.

  84. When you're invited at that table, some of you, when you see the the the buffet, the hospital has been alleged, or the glamour of the deco, you think that is all.

  85. It's not, it's more than that.

  86. It's more than that.

  87. Some of you, when you get that opportunity to think, and I want to take a selfie with so and so.

  88. But it's more than that.

  89. Now you have accessibility.

  90. What is it for?

  91. There's an assignment beyond eating and drinking.

  92. Buona sifiwe.

  93. The kingdom of heaven is not beyond eating and drinking.

  94. So why has God allowed us to access?

  95. Why are we hearing this word?

  96. It's not just because become healers of the word, but become doers of the word.

  97. Praise Jesus.

  98. And I am believing that even as we hear this, as we are sitting, we are celebrating the house group week, we know just, hey, a house group week, irikuanga mzuri, who do you want a viral?

  99. And when you ask you, I used to be in a house week no, I'll plug in.

  100. It's actually to say, I'm taking action.

  101. I'm taking a bold step.

  102. I'll open my home to host a house group.

  103. I will actually be intentional to be leading my house, my family as a man.

  104. And we are doing an article to men.

  105. My leaders are here.

  106. They are telling past you, one who are yet awake.

  107. Men, are you there?

  108. Men are who?

  109. Men are who?

  110. Leaders, you here.

  111. They were called.

  112. See me, I've done my part.

  113. I've called men.

  114. It has been a prayer.

  115. On Friday, we took time to pray for men.

  116. So you can imagine you have been on the table being prayed for.

  117. And now we are being reminded the table has already been set.

  118. Just access.

  119. Don't give excuse.

  120. You still thought that the one he had invited, they gave excuse.

  121. I just got married.

  122. You know, I want to go for honeymoon.

  123. The other one said, I just bought brought Maguta Maguta, so I'll be going to check on it.

  124. The other one gave all those lame excuses of why they cannot be able to plug in or to join that fellowship or to come to the table that has been prepared for them.

  125. But this very afternoon, on this very day, the Lord is reminding us there's a table has been prepared for us at the house group level.

  126. Come and dine.

  127. You'll learn more.

  128. You'll be encouraged.

  129. You'll find mentors.

  130. I'll tell you for sure, some of the mentors, like I have them in the house, for you to get them.

  131. It is work.

  132. But we are in a fellowship.

  133. See, we'll be having a mentorship program for all the leaders, all the hosts, and they will be there for you.

  134. They will guide you.

  135. They actually become a destiny helper to the next level that you want to move into.

  136. Praise Jesus.

  137. And therefore, I'm encouraging us that in this Sunday that we are celebrating what the Lord has continued to do within our home fellowship, just like the Ari Church, that the revival we are talking about and looking forward for, it is starting in our homes.

  138. It is starting with me.

  139. Actually, you have to personalize it.

  140. It's starting with me and my family.

  141. As a man, you see, I'll be leading Bible study with my wife and my children at our table, at our dining table.

  142. But beyond that, now we shall move forward and see which other house group that is within our area of sphere.

  143. And therefore, those three things, and I would like to start with the first one.

  144. But as even as I do that, I was reflecting this week what has been happening at the UN when the nations gathered in New York.

  145. And you could see the African leadership, the presence of Africa, fighting for a space to get just one seat at the table at the Security Council.

  146. And they are here to get it.

  147. They are here to get it.

  148. Because actually they say, and this is a common uh talk in the business world, those who are in the business world, they say if you're not on the table, you are the menu.

  149. Isn't it?

  150. And so they are fighting to be part and parcel of that conversation that happened so that they can contribute.

  151. But they are not allowed.

  152. But Jesus is telling us, and you have been welcomed.

  153. There's no protocol.

  154. Come and get the assignment that I prepared for you.

  155. And therefore, as believers and the children of God, we are reminded.

  156. At the king's table, there is provision.

  157. The world may say, Get a seat at the table.

  158. But the king is saying, I have prepared a table for you.

  159. Psalms 23, verse 5.

    Psalms 23:5

  160. He says, I prepare a table in the presence of your enemies.

  161. The world may say, get a seat at the table.

  162. But the king is saying, I have prepared a table for you.

  163. The world may say, bring something at the table.

  164. As I said, when you have invited, no one tells you to carry something.

  165. To come with you, come with bread, come with apple.

  166. No, you just appear.

  167. So the world may tell you, bring something to the table.

  168. And that's the language in the business world.

  169. Bring something.

  170. What are you bringing?

  171. What is it on you?

  172. What is on the table?

  173. When they see you don't have anything, they light you off.

  174. And that's why, particularly the Christians, because of our faith, sometimes we are dismissed because the only thing you are carrying is the faith.

  175. And you tend to be dismissed very easily.

  176. And we went there because of we knew there's something we can add.

  177. Yes, it was our faith that we exercise we were exercising.

  178. We are not experts of peace, but we knew the children whom the one who make peace will be called the children of God.

  179. So we knew they are children of God.

  180. There's something and contribute on the table.

  181. And he honored us and opened that, and there was a table.

  182. And we sat there and we shared with him what we have ever done in the valley and what we did with the birds.

  183. And he was amazed.

  184. He said, This is great.

  185. This is something that even as a military we cannot be able to do.

  186. And he offered an extra and he said, I'm opening a more opportunity now to sit on the table where security matters are concerned.

  187. Bon asi fiwe.

  188. So even as a children of God, may we know.

  189. Because we have been invited into this table, there's an assignment that will be given to us, and we shall actually influence the marketplace in a positive way.

  190. So don't feel like now there's nothing I can add.

  191. You are a child of God.

  192. You are co here with Christ.

  193. The world may say, fight for your seat.

  194. But the grace says the king has prepared your seat.

  195. The world may ask you, who gave you access?

  196. But the gospel says, Jesus opened the way for me.

  197. Amen.

  198. And therefore, the first one is that the king's table is a place of provision.

  199. Luke 14, 16, and we read that.

  200. Luke 14, 16.

  201. Jesus replied, a certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests.

  202. At the time of the banquet, he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, Come for everything is now ready.

  203. Come for everything for now is ready.

  204. We go up to 17.

  205. Come for everything is now ready.

  206. Everything is already provided.

  207. Is it peace?

  208. Is it joy?

  209. Is it happiness you are looking for?

  210. When you come to the house of God, may you experience them.

  211. May you get them.

  212. May you not just walk out of this door the same way you walked in.

  213. Get something from the table the Lord has set for each and every one of us.

  214. Praise Jesus.

  215. So we are with this everything has been provided.

  216. In 2 Samuel chapter 9, verse 7.

    2 Samuel 9:7

  217. You see this young man called Mephiboshet.

  218. He was lame.

  219. He has been dismissed, ignored even in the family level.

  220. Maybe that is you.

  221. You have never been even consulted on anything in the family matters.

  222. Or even in your marriage.

  223. You are just escorting.

  224. When decisions are made, you are not on the table.

  225. I don't know whether you are the man.

  226. And you feel like I am of no value to me.

  227. And this young man who was based in Lodiba, a place of desert, a place where of seclusion.

  228. But one day, King David said, Let him come to my table.

  229. And he said, David asked, Is there anyone still left of the house of Saul to whom I can show kindness for Jonathan's sake?

  230. May the Lord Jesus show you kindness this very day.

  231. Amen.

  232. Where people have dismissed you because maybe you are not educated, because how you look, because you are not tall, you are short, whatever.

  233. May the Lord show kindness unto you.

  234. Amen.

  235. Because maybe you don't have that education, or maybe because you don't dwang, or you don't, you know the challenges that you may be having.

  236. For God's sake, may Jesus give you that kindness.

  237. And David said, Now there was a servant of Saul, household named Zimba.

  238. They summoned him to appear before David.

  239. And the king said, Verse 3.

  240. The king asked, Is there no one still alive from the house of Saul to whom I can show God's kindness?

  241. Ziba answered the king.

  242. There's still a son of Jonathan.

  243. He is lame on both feet.

  244. Which kind of which area are you lame that you feel like you are being ignored?

  245. Either at workplace, at home, whichever level.

  246. Today the Lord is reminding you.

  247. He is showing you kindness.

  248. He is at the house of Machia, son of Amineel, in Lord Debah.

  249. So King David had him brought from Lordebah from the house of Machia, son of Amiah.

  250. When Mephibosheth, son of Jonathan, the son of Saul came to David, he bowed down to pay him honor.

  251. And David said, Mephibosheth, at your service, he replied, Don't be afraid, David said to him, Don't be afraid, my dear brothers and sisters.

  252. Don't be afraid.

  253. There's a table set for you.

  254. David said to him, For I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan.

  255. I will restore you all the land that belongs to your grandfather's soul.

  256. And you will always eat at my table.

  257. You will always, not just once, always.

  258. Always.

  259. There is provision constant throughout 24-7.

  260. So maybe you grew up eating one meal because of the poverty level that were there when you were growing up.

  261. Maybe because of a sickness or a certain condition you are into.

  262. Today I'm here to tell you.

  263. May there be abundance.

  264. May there be access in Jesus' name.

  265. May you be shown kindness for his sake.

  266. And may you come singing and testifying.

  267. Like the man in John chapter 9, who was born blind and he was neglected.

    John 9 chapter mention

  268. And the society has already concluded the kind of man he was.

  269. But one day he met the King of King, Jesus Christ, and he was made to see.

  270. He didn't know Jesus.

  271. What he said, me, what I know, I was blind, but now I can see.

  272. The man they called Jesus welcomed me, and now I am able to see.

  273. May there be a testimony of someone like you.

  274. That you can actually be on and you can also lead meetings in your family, in your organization.

  275. You can be consulted even by your CEO and your seniors.

  276. What do you think about it when you tell them, let's first of all pray?

  277. As you are praying, God starts giving you divine ideas.

  278. Like Joseph, who was picked from prison.

  279. He didn't know what it was.

  280. And he was taken to the king.

  281. And he was asked, I had this dream.

  282. What does it mean?

  283. And he interpreted it.

  284. Then he was asked a very, a very hard question.

  285. Then what should we do?

  286. You're coming from prison.

  287. A prison is a place of whereby you are neglected.

  288. So he had not even read any books about how to govern a nation.

  289. But when he asked, he interpreted the dream.

  290. God birthed an idea, a divine idea, the instant idea.

  291. And he said, Can we get a man?

  292. Can we what this is what we need?

  293. In the seven years, actually do what?

  294. We can tax a certain percentage.

  295. And that's how the tax regime came about.

  296. He went ahead and he said, we actually save a certain pass a certain portion.

  297. And that's how the silos that we see today of saving food, it will it came to be.

  298. An idea.

  299. Not because he had gone to school to study about it, a divine idea.

  300. The Lord gives divine ideas.

  301. So that the nation will not be begging.

  302. People will not be begging to sit on the table and the security council.

  303. We have the solution to our own problem.

  304. And that revival is starting with you and me.

  305. And that revival is starting in our fellowship, in our home fellowship.

  306. When we pray together, the door shall open.

  307. The Ari Church in Acts chapter 12, when they prayed, the Bible says, God commanded an angel.

    Acts 12 chapter mention

  308. And someone who was in prison, a certain prison, the doors opened on their own accord.

  309. The chains fell.

  310. And he went testifying to the fellowship where they were gathered.

  311. In Acts chapter 12, verse 1 to 8.

    Acts 12:1–8

  312. And I pray the same can be actually go all out to all of us.

  313. At our family level, in our business level, in the marketplace, in the church, the ministry that we are serving, that we shall experience revival.

  314. But it starts with you saying, I'm connecting, I'm plugging in.

  315. And you shall come back testifying what the Lord has done.

  316. And so that's how Mephibosheth was provided.

  317. And he sat at the King's table forever.

  318. But beyond that, the King's table is a place of honor and access.

  319. God can restore dignity and belonging.

  320. And access means coming near.

  321. That is proximity with the king.

  322. In the first service, Pastor Abus, I was reminding the church.

  323. When I plugged in as a young person back in the day, the year 2006, I was elected as a chair of a young profession.

  324. And I was serving there.

  325. I didn't know much.

  326. I was in school, college.

  327. But the young people believed you have a calceblance of leadership.

  328. So can you just represent us in this council?

  329. And so, because of that, there was a table that was set for me.

  330. And I accessed the council.

  331. We could sit now in the meeting.

  332. And that's where now I see, oh, you can sit next near to the senior pastor.

  333. Oh, okay.

  334. This is how he looks like this is how he speaks.

  335. By that time his hair was a bit black.

  336. But we could now have a personal conversation.

  337. At that point, now I got his number from his.

  338. See, I'm to mugine.

  339. I got it direct from him.

  340. And since then we have walked a journey to where I am today.

  341. Let's give the God all the glory.

  342. So there is hope.

  343. So that's access.

  344. So beyond feeding and eating what is happening on the table, now you have access.

  345. You have There's a communication, there's a conversation that happens.

  346. Some of us, when you're invited into those parties or even those meetings, as I was saying, some of you just plied that you now take a hours up to post on social media.

  347. So if you ask people what was how was the meeting, oh deco.

  348. But it's more than that.

  349. That accessibility that God has opened for you is that way so that, like Esther, in the book of Esther chapter 5, verse 1 and 8, when she got us that access to the king, what did she do?

    Esther 5:1

  350. She didn't just enjoy that glamour.

  351. She actually now she was able actually to say, This is my community where I come from, the Jews.

  352. Can you actually that that opportunity that God has given an open that door that God has opened for you?

  353. What are you doing with it?

  354. In Esther chapter 1, yeah, chapter 5, verse 1.

    Esther 1 chapter mention

  355. On the third day, Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the palace, in front of the king's hall.

  356. The king was sitting on his royal throne, the hall, facing the entrance.

  357. When he saw the Queen Esther studying the court, he was pleased with her and held out her the gold scepter that was in his hand.

  358. So Esther approached and touched the tip of the scepter.

  359. Then the king asked, What is it, Queen Esther?

  360. What is your request?

  361. Even up to half of the kingdom, it will be given unto you.

  362. You see what accessibility means?

  363. Now she's being asked, What do you want?

  364. Some of you, the people you admire, and you are looking forward to meet them one day.

  365. If they just appear right now, what will you ask them?

  366. Can I have a photo?

  367. Can you give me 200 for lunch?

  368. Can we do can we go to Mazal?

  369. Beyond that, and I was saying even the relationship, even in marriage, prof, when couples, and I have mentored couples, and most of the interesting story that we hear is actually how they met.

  370. And it's a very interesting yeah, we met in a coffee shop, we had a date, so there was a table set.

  371. And but beyond that, young man, when you are actually calling you for that coffee date, him is thinking beyond the coffee date.

  372. Because he's thinking there's a potential wife, isn't it?

  373. So if you misbehave there, you eat a lot, a lot, and say, hey, this one.

  374. And you miss it.

  375. But when you behave there, it can actually give you a second date, coffee date, isn't it?

  376. Yeah?

  377. Let us see now you understand.

  378. Yeah?

  379. They see beyond what it's not about even the bill who pays the bill.

  380. You think that is there a potential here?

  381. Is there a helper here?

  382. Because actually they are looking for a helper, regardless of how they look like.

  383. They may not look presentable.

  384. So that's what they're looking for a helper help them to be presentable.

  385. And you are the first date you dismiss them because they maybe they came walking.

  386. Or because they could not be able to pay the bill.

  387. But man, I'm not saying that you should not pay the bill, you should pay them.

  388. But the point is when you have that accessibility, when you have that opportunity to sit at the table, what kind of a communication are you having?

  389. What kind of a uh uh conversation that is going on at that table?

  390. And so we usually listen to a lot of those stories, particularly when you are doing mentorship.

  391. We used to do a lot of it with uh GMN, a global mentorship network, where prof was our team lead.

  392. And we enjoyed with grace doing that.

  393. And so it's a place of access and honor.

  394. And so, Esther, you see, Esther, how he was able to reply, let the king together with her man come today to a banquet I have prepared for them.

  395. Verse 5.

  396. Bring Herman at once, the king said.

  397. We go up to verse 8, so that we may do what Esther asked.

  398. Verse 5, so the king and her man went to the banquet.

  399. Esther had prepared.

  400. As they were drinking wine, the king again asked Esther, now what is your petition?

  401. It will be given to you, and what is your request?

  402. Even to half of the kingdom, it will be granted.

  403. Hallelujah.

  404. Esther replied, My petition and my request is this.

  405. If the king regards me with favor, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and fulfill my request, let the king and her man come tomorrow to the banquet I'll prepare for them.

  406. Then I'll answer the king's question.

  407. So accessibility and sitting on the table is actually buyed.

  408. Now you have a conversation.

  409. Are you aligned?

  410. Do you know what you want in life?

  411. Given that opportunity, given that scholarship you are talking about, are you able to articulate yourself?

  412. Oh, when the opportunity comes, that's when you start A.

  413. There's opportunities, and Pastor Ambrose and Senior have been talking about even for you getting a passport.

  414. Now a scholarship comes.

  415. But now that's when you realize hey, I don't have a visa, I don't have a passport.

  416. Today we are releasing a young man, Pastor Ambrose, and he's going to US.

  417. He has been waiting for his visa, and it went through.

  418. So we'll be working in a cruise ship.

  419. The mom passed on the other day, and so they were left without their mom.

  420. And we buy she was in a house group and also in chaplain.

  421. And by God's grace, we prayed prayers.

  422. Something we had not anticipated or expected.

  423. A door opened, an opportunity to work at the cruise ship.

  424. Now, when he was supposed to travel in October, now he was told, actually, you need to come early because the one you are going, there's someone you need to relieve.

  425. So the ticket was sent and he's traveling tonight.

  426. So the house group has been actually supporting, contributing for even to get a bag.

  427. I expected him to be here today, but because of that, getting to see where he can get one dollar here and there.

  428. So he's traveling tonight.

  429. And I was telling him, you can even travel as you are studying.

  430. No worry.

  431. That's an opportunity that has been accelerated.

  432. Move, go.

  433. And we are happy to release him, seeing what the Lord has done.

  434. So we were prepared that we said him at on in October, but now it is tonight.

  435. So the house group are preparing actually to escort him around 9 p.m.

  436. at the airport.

  437. Just to tell him bye-bye.

  438. That's what happens when you access the king's table.

  439. And maybe you have been trusting God for that.

  440. By this obedience, may there be an acceleration.

  441. May there be an exhilaration.

  442. What you had waited for long, what you had not even anticipated, the plans I have for you, you can't even imagine.

  443. The Lord says.

  444. So the King's table is a place of honor and access, and God restores dignity and belonging.

  445. But beyond that, the King's table is a place of fellowship and assignment.

  446. Beyond now, dining, you have already filled yourself, you have gotten the toothpick and whatever, the dessert, whether it was Ugari or it was uh chocolate, like our girl.

  447. Now you are filled.

  448. So what next?

  449. You have already communicated and articulated what you want, and now it's the time for the king to tell you what you need to do.

  450. Praise Jesus.

  451. And in Acts chapter 2, we're able to see the Ari Church, how they behaved.

    Acts 2 chapter mention

  452. After Pentecost, the church is formed or is bathed, and the fellowship is happening at a home setting.

  453. The Ari Church.

  454. For many years, before we see what we call the church today, the sanctuary that we are gathered like today.

  455. In the history of the Bible, it is said almost 320 something years when you see the first bathing of this church, like you are seeing today.

  456. But churches used to meet in homes, at the dining table, at the sitting rooms.

  457. And that's why we are reminding us the revival of the early church that we need to actually have our home churches alive.

  458. The future that we are looking forward to.

  459. Into the year, we have just celebrated the legacy of 50 years of existence of Pakras Baptist Church as a ministry.

  460. But also we are looking by the eyes of faith, what the next 50 years look like.

  461. In a decade, and we actually have written it down from the house group point of view, how we are seeing it happening and the growth that is how we are anticipating.

  462. The technology, the effect of technology, how it will affect us, how we'll use technology actually to disciple people.

  463. Our desire and our prayer is that beyond the city of Nairobi, that we go to the other city of Africa.

  464. Beyond every city of Africa, we are going to the global, the Pacific, the islands of the world.

  465. And so that's where a house group we see them like a preparation crowd whereby you are prepared to go and impact the world.

  466. And I'm trusting upon each and every one of you to be part and parcel of this, whichever level you are into.

  467. The technology, the destructive technology is here with us.

  468. We are in the era of artificial intelligence.

  469. How does that look like when we think about 2050, 2076, 50 years to come?

  470. It's a Gen Alpha.

  471. Gen Alpha, if you have a phone and it has a password, just give it to them.

  472. They'll uncode it and they open your phone.

  473. So what are we seeing?

  474. How will they look like?

  475. Come that time.

  476. Some of us who are celebrating 50 years this year, they will be a hundred years.

  477. So 2076, turn to your neighbor, ask them how will you how will you be looking like if Jesus tells 2076, there are people who will be celebrating centinally, and they'll be saying there were fathers of faith who founded Parkras Baptist Church, isn't it?

  478. Yeah?

  479. And maybe they will be having monuments for us.

  480. No, it's good to be to be creative and imaginative for how the future looks like, isn't it?

  481. So that you prepare, so that you visualize that and you write it down.

  482. And for us through prayer and actually seeing how that will be.

  483. In a decadal point of view, 10 years, 10 years, 10 years.

  484. Yesterday we spent the day here strategizing how that will look like.

  485. And what we need to do to make it a reality.

  486. And I'm counting to each and every one of you.

  487. Those revival, how we reach out to the cities of Africa, is actually when you open your home for fellowship.

  488. When actually we say, I will walk, I will mentor a young person.

  489. When you say, and I'm looking on this side, I don't know why, and when you say, that couple, that young couple who just got married, I will walk with them.

  490. You'll be intentional.

  491. Isn't it?

  492. And you see this one, they will not fail.

  493. They will not fail.

  494. And actually, those people who actually plugged into house group, Pasan Plus, even young couples, when they have issues, because we are very, we have different age groups in house group, they're able to get someone who can walk with them.

  495. So even when they were thinking of separating or they think they thought their issues were big, the ideas are that this is normal.

  496. It happens in marriage.

  497. And they actually be mentored and guided on how to overcome that.

  498. And so I'm calling and upon each and every one of us to belong.

  499. So in Acts chapter 2.42, we say, this is the early church now.

    Acts 2 chapter mention

  500. What they did, and this is what we usually do every week.

  501. So the house group is a church beyond Saturday.

  502. So we meet on Monday all the way to Saturday.

  503. Even after this, there are people who will be meeting for fellowship.

  504. So they met, they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and prayer.

  505. Everyone was filled with awe and at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.

  506. All the believers were together and they had everything in common.

  507. They sold property and possession to give anyone who had need.

  508. That's benevolence.

  509. Before you said someone to Pastor Edith for benevolence cases, we sought some of those issues at the house group level.

  510. So every day they continue to meet together in the temple course.

  511. They broke bread in their homes and they ate together.

  512. You see, there is a table there already.

  513. And I know there are those particularly when they are starting, they usually come just to fellowship so that they can have something to eat.

  514. So even you ask them what was happening, they know they ate something, which is okay.

  515. But by feeding, actually they come to understand it's more than eating and drinking.

  516. But every day they continue to meet.

  517. Every, every day they continue to meet.

  518. Together in the temple course, they broke bread in their homes and ate together.

  519. With grad and sincere hands, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.

  520. And the Lord added to their number daily those who are being saved.

  521. So evangelism is happening at the home fellowship.

  522. Like yesterday, house group, they were going aloud praying for their community, trusting God that actually what they have seen, God can heal and save.

  523. And for sure they come with testimony.

  524. In hospital, when I visit the wards, young people and others from the internationals, they get saved.

  525. And we have those reports actually every Thursday.

  526. People on the bed, actually, no one to visit with them.

  527. When they see we are visiting with them, some are Muslims, some are Hindus, and they see, oh, this is much love.

  528. We are not related, and you came to visit with me.

  529. Who are you?

  530. And so we are doing this not because we are paid, no, because the love of Christ is in us.

  531. And we say the same to you.

  532. Tell me about it.

  533. And they ask, and we lead them to Christ.

  534. So there's an opportunity.

  535. When is the last time you visit someone who is not your relative in hospital?

  536. You obey the voice of God, Matthew 25.

  537. I was sick and you never visited with me.

  538. I was hungry, you never fed me.

  539. When is the last time you bought someone lunch?

  540. And she is not your letter, and you are not trusting, you are not dating them.

  541. You just say, when is the last time you paid someone fair?

  542. Kwamatatu, 20 bob.

  543. Say, because you are sitting next to me, let me accept this love and grace to you.

  544. That's hospitality.

  545. Isn't it?

  546. Ambraham and Sarah, because of their hospitality.

  547. They had not anticipated this guest.

  548. But then this guest appeared early in the morning.

  549. And Ambraham with a revelation understood these guys must be.

  550. Have walked a kajani.

  551. They must be very dusty.

  552. So we'll prepare some water for them to clean their feet.

  553. As they approach it, they realize they must be also very thirsty.

  554. As they come closer, they are even free.

  555. They must be very hungry.

  556. And a sense of urgency, he said to the wife Sarah, quick, prepare something for them.

  557. Sense of urgency, hospitality.

  558. Don't wait to be told now Lippe, who you fear.

  559. Uh-uh.

  560. When you appear now, feel the sensitivity of the Holy Spirit.

  561. That's hospitality.

  562. And when they had done all that, and the guests had eaten the best, and I always assume and I always ask whether there were toothpicks back then.

  563. So maybe these guests they asked for toothpick, prof.

  564. And they realized maybe it is just Salah who was going to cut a branch of tree to bring to them.

  565. And they must be, there are no there's no child here.

  566. And they said, and a time like this next year, you shall have a son.

  567. And Salah laughed.

  568. And Sala laughed.

  569. And Sarah laughed.

  570. But lo and behold, the year later, they had a son.

  571. They had to call him Isaac, meaning laughter.

  572. May there be a laughter to someone.

  573. When you accept hospitality to someone not with coercion, but the sensitivity of the Holy Spirit.

  574. And so that's how the early church was enjoying the favor of all the people.

  575. And the Lord added to their number daily those who are being saved.

  576. And so may our home fellowship, may our house group, may your home be an altar where many will come and testify what the Lord has done.

  577. In Luke chapter 10, verse 5 to 9, you see Jesus sending the 72, 2 by 2.

    Luke 10:5–9

  578. And he says, verse 5, when you enter a house, these are now the ones that are being sent, peace say to say, peace to this house.

  579. This is an assignment now being accorded to them.

  580. So at the king's table, beyond provision, beyond honor, there is an assignment that is being assigned to you.

  581. So the 72.

  582. If someone who promises peace is there, your peace will rest on them.

  583. If not, it will return to you.

  584. Stay there, eating and drinking.

  585. This is a very key.

  586. Eating and drinking, whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages, not move around from house to house.

  587. Heal the sick.

  588. So beyond eating and drinking, do what?

  589. Heal the sick by praying and laying your hands on them.

  590. And there and tell them the kingdom of God has come near to you.

  591. May thy kingdom come.

  592. May thy kingdom come.

  593. May we be the codute of this kingdom.

  594. May we be the codute of this grace.

  595. May we be the codes of fellowship of restoration.

  596. May we be the codute of revival that we are talking about.

  597. And so the 72, they went two by two.

  598. And for sure they came back with a report.

  599. And they said, We saw Satan fell from heaven like a writing.

  600. We have power and we have authority.

  601. When we sit at the king's table.

  602. And therefore, this is our reminder, and this is what the Lord had deposited into my soul and into my spirit.

  603. And that's our call as a house group fellowship.

  604. Come, for all things are now ready.

  605. When you plug into a fellowship, when you connect to our connect uh tent and desk across, when you meet with these leaders, when you'll you plug in into that QR code, scan it.

  606. We'll be able to connect you on the other end.

  607. We'll be able to know where you reside.

  608. If there's no physical fellowship there, we can ask you, are we willing to open your home for fellowship?

  609. If you are not willing, we tell you there is a virtual one.

  610. So there's no one who should not be part and parcel.

  611. Because we have a clear pathway on how to.

  612. And that's where the discipleship happens.

  613. Picking it from where Pastor Dikon Wairago left last Sunday.

  614. That's where the discipleship is happening.

  615. That's where actually, if someone was being preached on this altar, because now you cannot be able to ask questions.

  616. At the house group level, actually you can actually, I didn't get what Pastor was teaching about ABC and D.

  617. Can we have it as a fellowship tonight?

  618. And you're able actually to be helped to understand that topic.

  619. Praise Jesus.

  620. But when you walk alone, it becomes very dangerous.

  621. I believe this voice is very clear to all of us.

  622. So our only call is that come with your family.

  623. Come with your story as it is.

  624. I was sharing a story about how one lady she grew up in a city.

  625. Her mom is in a house group.

  626. And the mom would always drag her to the house group.

  627. And she really thought this about it's an adult service.

  628. And so she never connected much.

  629. Until a point she left home and she went to another estate.

  630. Lo and behold, where she went, she found there is a house group there.

  631. And she connected there.

  632. The mom had thought, me have done my part, but this girl, she's always disappointing.

  633. And so she was a disappointed mother.

  634. But lo and behold, when this lady went to that estate, there was a house group.

  635. And she plugged in.

  636. Few weeks down the line, she got sick and she got admitted in hospital at Agakan.

  637. And so I got a call and told Percy, one of our members is at a hospital because I did a visit with them.

  638. And so when we visited, and also the mom visited, and she found other members, and she found other people who were visiting with her.

  639. And the daughter said, Mommy, these are house group members.

  640. And they were quite a number.

  641. The mom called, mom I met her, she told me, Pastor Andre, do you know what?

  642. She's in house group.

  643. And you could see the joy.

  644. She had already written off.

  645. But when the mom saw the love the house group has given to her daughter, she felt, whoa, thank you, Lord.

  646. Maybe you are there, you are the parent, you are mom, you have done all you can to your children.

  647. There's a table that has been prepared.

  648. Don't give up.

  649. Don't give up.

  650. And I say, Don't give up.

  651. And so this morning we are saying, Come with your story, come with your gifts, come with all your burdens.

  652. We share together with them.

  653. Come with a hunger for God, and you shall be fed at the table that has been set for us.

  654. And therefore, even as I invite Reverend Simon, that this is a table of provision, it's a table of honor, is a table to access, a table of fellowship, and a table where assignments are given.

  655. Heavenly Father, thank you for your word.

  656. You never release your word and return to you void.

  657. I've done what you have enabled me through your Holy Spirit to share your remaining word to your servants.

  658. You tell us that.

  659. You are greatest among you is the servant.

  660. Dear Lord, thank you for the revival.

  661. Thank you for the season.

  662. These home churches, the church build Sunday, the table that you have set at our dining table at our living rooms on the virtuous face.

  663. Oh Abba Father, we are saying here, Lord, thank you for invitation.

  664. We shall not give you more lame excuse.

  665. But Father, we are saying, as we are, without any protocol, we are coming and we are dining with you.

  666. But beyond dining, oh Abba Father, thank you for honoring our dignity and giving us access.

  667. And beyond that, for the assignment that you are tasking to each and every one of us, I pray, Jehovah King of Glory, may you help us to be obedience to this call.

  668. We worship you, we praise you.

  669. And if there's anyone who doesn't have a relationship with you, who has never accepted to say, Yes, Lord, be my Savior.

  670. And they are in our midst this very afternoon, or they are following this online, or they are in the pavilion, or wherever they are listening to this voice from.

  671. The Lord of humility, Father, we pray.

  672. May they come back to their senses, like the prodigal son.

  673. May they see what you have already prepared for them.

  674. May you open their eyes to see the future, how it looks like.

  675. Oh King of Glory.

  676. And Father, thank you for every mentor.

  677. Thank you for every mom and dad.

  678. Thank you for every leader who have said we are leading from the king's table.

  679. We worship you, we praise you for the successful week that we had as a ministry.

  680. And about Father, now that's a seed of greatness that we have planted.

  681. With the eyes of faith for the future that is coming, with the eyes of faith that Father shall use us, and many will come and say, Yes, we're gonna do this.

  682. Dear Lord, be glorified, be magnified.

  683. And this is our humble prayer of faith.

  684. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we pray.

  685. Amen.

  686. Let's celebrate the King of Kings.

  687. It's beautiful and it's marvelous.

  688. And therefore, I'm expecting to see that revival.

  689. If you are there, you don't have a relationship with the King of Kings, it's also an opportunity for you to say, Here, Lord, use me.

  690. As I invite Reverend Simon to come on the scene.

  691. Thank you.

  692. Another round of applause.

  693. Uh, we appreciate Pastor Andrew Mashina.

  694. Thank you so much for sharing the word of God very faithfully, but also for your able and faithful leadership of our house group ministry.

  695. And out of his service, so many have been reached.

  696. Now we have close to 200 house groups or house churches spread all over the city, north, south, east, and west, and also a yaki way that like he described.

  697. And so we are very grateful as a church for this ministry.

  698. We also thank God for all the leaders who serve with you, Patrick Solomon, for leadership of prayer.

  699. Thank you and your family.

  700. God bless you.

  701. Grace, of course, is sitting next behind you, your wife, and uh really appreciate her as well, as I appreciate you.

  702. And this team here, why don't you give a hand to the Lord and just thank God for thank you so much for that worship?

  703. And we have uh the ones handling the equipment or the instruments plus the cameras.

  704. Uh, we really want to appreciate that you have served us very ably from the house churches.

  705. And projecting into the future, Reverend Ambrose, we see this ministry playing a very critical role.

  706. Uh, it's worked a journey the last 22 years from year 2004.

  707. And I know there are those who served at the beginning.

  708. In fact, uh, I just got some names here.

  709. Right at the beginning, Ibrahim Karonji, we remember him, Arnold Kirubi, Tony Masharia, uh Ruth Kinyanjuy, uh Dr.

  710. Mwangi, Docas Mutemi, Joe Moryoki, the others who served, like Banu Afouko, uh, provided very, very helpful insights and guidance.

  711. Ken Butiko, the Garden Estate House Group, Dr.

  712. Gakunju, Dr.

  713. Dokas, and the list is long.

  714. And uh walking and rising from their shoulders.

  715. We have reached where we have reached as a church, and we have a great ministry.

  716. So, Paris, thank you very much uh for chairing the ministry.

  717. All the regional leaders, house group leaders, the all the leadership, and those who are in the house groups.

  718. So this service grants you an opportunity to plug in.

  719. Great people are processed through house groups and house churches.

  720. In fact, as you are sharing, I remembered Acts chapter 16.

    Acts 16 chapter mention

  721. There are three great moves and shifts around great people who plug in through house churches.

  722. One is Timothy, verse 1 to 3, Acts 16.

  723. That's how he comes in.

  724. The other one is Lydia, the businesswoman, who offered her house, you know, verse 14 and verse 15.

  725. She was a businesswoman, and her house became the place where the church at Philippi was actually formed.

  726. The other one was the Philippian jailer, verse the same chapter.

  727. Yes, verse 30 up to verse 34.

  728. And so, in one chapter, you see some plug-ins, and these people become great in the service of the kingdom.

  729. So I believe the call you have released is well received, and after this service, you can connect with our house group.

  730. I think it's been explained very clearly.

  731. You did, and also Cliff, my assistant here, has explained through the adverts, and you do a very good job.

  732. Let's appreciate him once again.

  733. Thank you.

  734. How you can plug in.

  735. The QR codes are somewhere, I think, behind the pillars.

  736. So after this service, please take time to connect with a house group.

  737. Pastor Ambrose, one of the challenges, of course, we faced, and someone comes and says, I was bereaved.

  738. The church did not show up.

  739. But when the family across the road was bereaved, the church showed up.

  740. And I normally ask the question, Are you in a house group?

  741. And the one who says the church didn't show up would say, I am not in a house group.

  742. But the other church family across the road who are visited are in a house group.

  743. Parklands Baptist Church would like to reach everyone with ministry on time.

  744. We urge you to join a house group, and that is how we connect.

  745. And so I believe arising from here, many of us are going to connect.

  746. Pastor Mashina is also a writer.

  747. He's written a book, Follow Me as I Follow Christ.

  748. Footsteps of Paul, Small Group Bible Study is available in the resource center.

  749. We also have another book he has written, Serving Faithfully Where You Are, Rhoda as a Guiding Star.

  750. It's also available in the Resource Center.

  751. Another book he has written is a 30-day devotional for sports champions, Faith on the Field, Winning Life's Game with God.

  752. And it's a great Bible study, Philippians 4.13.

  753. It is also there and it's available in our resource center.

  754. You could actually get yourself a copy of one of these books.

  755. Today, our benediction is a beautiful one.

  756. It comes from Deuteronomy 28.

  757. And as I come to the benediction, I want to acknowledge uh Pastor Ambrose has been uh on leave through August and then September.

  758. God has kept him well, as you can see.

  759. Hallelujah.

  760. He has gained some weight.

  761. Yeah, it's wonderful.

  762. And I guess because you went stateside, you've had a journey around the world, your skin is glowing.

  763. There is a special turn on your skin.

  764. And uh we really appreciate you, Reverend Ambrose.

  765. He is back, we receive you back, and we really thank God.

  766. Let's give our hand to the Lord because Pastor Ambrose is back.

  767. I know today you don't want to say, I think that's what you told me, but we really appreciate you.

  768. Uh, welcome back.

  769. Let's all stand up.

  770. Uh, we share in this benediction, Deuteronomy 28, and uh, I'll just go through the verses as the Lord leads you where you feel like saying amen, please do uh do so.

  771. It's a it's a great benediction.

  781. You'll be blessed when you come in, you'll be blessed when you go out.

  782. The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you, they'll come at you from one direction, but flee from you in seven.

  793. In the land is what to your ancestors to give you.

  795. Now we lift our hands to God, verse 12 and verse 13.

  796. The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season, and to bless all the works of your hands.

  797. Your hands you will lend to many nations, but will borrow from none.

  798. The Lord will make you head and not tail.

  799. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, listen to this now.

  800. You'll always be at the top and never.

  801. Hallelujah.

  802. Let's give a hand to Jesus.

  803. Glory to his name.

  804. And therefore, you are blessed on Monday, blessed on Tuesday, blessed on Wednesday, blessed on Thursday, blessed on Friday, blessed on Saturday, and this coming Sunday, you're coming back with a testimony.
