[SPEAKER_00]: So let's now turn to Joshua, chapter one, verse nine.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I want to say that's the sixth book.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I'm wrong.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Joshua, chapter one, verse nine.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think we're having children's church today.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, we're not.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So Joshua, chapter one, verse nine.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If you could please stand on a dream of his word, but we just got none.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Joshua, chapter one, verse nine.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's a good one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This is Lord God speaking, by the way.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Joshua chapter one verse nine says, have I not commanded you be strong and courageous?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Do not be afraid or dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God bless and honor the ring was worthy and may be seated.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God is with you wherever you go.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, yes, he was speaking to his children when they were in the land and this is right after Moses had passed away, but he was with you even more so than with them because he lives within you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I want you to remember that now growing up, I had many, many heroes.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I meant to bring some out and that's okay.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't need a man here.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I know who they are.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I had many, many heroes, many heroes.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I had Superman.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I love this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Still do, obviously.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I had he-man, I love he-man growing up.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It was a crazy, stupid cartoon.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I still love it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I've watched all the time pop-eye.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I was watching him last night.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I love pop-eye.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was also watching a little bit of Batman, old school Batman with Scooby-Doo actually.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I love that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I love all these characters and so many, many more, who are heroes to me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They were heroes and every hero had a weakness of some sort, but I loved every single one of these heroes, but these heroes that I enjoyed were just make believe, fun guys, but they're just make believe, make believe heroes, whether it be on cartoons, comic books, movies, wrestling, even, whatever it was, and I even had my own personal heroes in my life, my grandfather, my father, others, my mother, different ones, who were heroes to me, people in my church,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: buyable heroes to these are real people, but there are many heroes, but here's the thing about heroes that's true.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They had to have courage over fear.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: One of my favorite movies, even when I was a little bitty child and I still love it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I'm wearing a tie of it right now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you've heard of it, maybe not.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's called the Wizard of Oz.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You've heard of it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If I don't want to
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There's one of the biggest films that still is.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I loved it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I've seen sequels to it, not great.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I read the books are good, fun, silly, but fun.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I will not watch the newest, they weren't anything to do with the movie or the book.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll have anything to do with them because they try to make the villains the heroes and heroes of villains I won't do that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a rebuke in fact.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I rebuke it because I see something bigger in that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, not to sit a little children who haven't saw that fine thing like it, that's fine.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're ignorant, but I love them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The point of all this is not because they wish of ours, has not do with it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like when they try to make a villain a hero and hero villain because there's something much deeper to it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There's something much deeper to that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They do it on so many shows.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And the reason why I don't like it is because there's something much deeper to make in a hero of villain and villain and hero.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And that is because that's what people have been doing their whole life.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: and they try to make Satan the hero.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I see it all the time.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They try to make Satan the hero, even recently I saw someone trying to make Satan the good guy and Jesus the bad guy.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And they try it all the time.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And why do they do this?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's excuse, it's excuse to make you get away with something that you shouldn't.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So let's take a look at the wisdom of us.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The reason why wisdom of us was neat to me, was always cool to me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Was the things that they needed?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Each character needed something.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: each person needed something, the lion needed courage.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I got news for you as a little baby child.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I first started watching it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of related to him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: My favorite was always the scarecrow.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I love the scarecrow, but the lion needed courage, but when I was a little three-year-old, I was scared of almost everything.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, you're three.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And then you're four.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I was scared of everything.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Every dark thing outside scared me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And then there was the tin man who needed a heart.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: but everybody needs a heart and something in the heart.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Then there's the scarecrow who needed a brain.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I had no idea that my brain was gonna need so much help.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So I relate with that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Then there's Dorothy who needed to go back home.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So you needed a home, everybody needs a home.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And we could relate with that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And there's so much more I could go through it, I won't.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Somehow, I related to each and every one of them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And as a Christian, we could relate to all of them because we need courage.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: over fear.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the title today's sermon.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We need courage over fear and don't worry.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll come back to that at the very end.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So let's first take a look at something that many people don't think about.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And that is judges.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to look at the book of judges.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You can turn that if you want, faculty, if you're going to turn to anything of judges, turn the judges chapter two, verse one, two, three.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll go to that in a minute.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Last week, we talked about judges.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I was up here with a beautiful
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And this wig, which was hot incidentally, this wig covered up my staples at Hadam removed the next day, thank God for that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But the important thing about the judges that we're talking about, these are not judges as you see in the courthouse.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: These are not those kind of judges.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: These are judges that are basically primarily leaders.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They had to have courage to appear in their lives.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They had to for lots of reasons.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: These are judges types of primary leaders in leadership.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the, the, the sermon title last week was judge mental behavior, but we're going to start in the book of judges.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And they needed courage in a time of fear.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And they definitely had a time of fear.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, what happened?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, this is right after.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: right after Joshua who we mentioned want to go right after he died right after Joshua died.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, the first chapter, so it speaks about it and then it goes back a little further and chapter two and speaks out a little bit more and it speaks about someone talking.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So who were the judges?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There are 12 judges, 12 judges in the book of judges.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: These were regional
-
[SPEAKER_00]: political military leaders, tribal chiefdons, that's what they call chiefdons.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That was hard for me to say at first.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But I looked up who these leaders wore, and there's some of who speaking in judges chapter two, verses one through three.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now let's take a look at that together.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Judges two, one through three.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now before you say this was God, and it is, it is God, who's speaking.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's also, in a sense, it's pre incarnate Christ, who is speaking.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's who it is.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This happens a lot in the Bible.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: because I want you to remember that God and Jesus are one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it's in the form of the Father, other times it's Christ before He was here, it's what they call pre-incarnate Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This is why this is very important.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So let's look at chapter two of Judges versus one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're three.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The angel of the Lord.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Anytime it's the angel, sometimes it's the angel of the Lord.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It just means an angel.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But then it's the angel of the Lord.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's usually Korean current Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The angel of the Lord went up from Gilgal to Bacam and said, I brought you up from Egypt and brought you into the land that I promised your father's and I excuse me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me stop for a second.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to remember that when they came out of the land of Egypt, when they came out of that land, that's Korean current Christ too.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, God was with him, but pre-incarnate Christ was with him as the fire at night, so they could see.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He was with him as a cloud in the day, that's pre-incarnate Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Who was the burning bush pre-incarnate Christ?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He was that flame, that's pre-incarnate Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm telling you all this so that you know that Christ has always been, he was, is and always well be, there's a dumb wrestler.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: a dumb restaurant named Brett Hart.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Why am I saying dumb?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Is he good?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but here's he's okay.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He's arrogant a little jerk even now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But the reason why I say that he's on the best it was is Eric will be no he's not he's just a guy.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But Jesus always is always will be and and always was.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He's never stopped being and here's the thing he will never be defeated.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus always has been long before he was born.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So when people will tell you
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus was in their back in the long day.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus didn't come to the New Testament, so Jesus wasn't there as long as Hercules and all these people there wrong.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus was there in the garden of Eden.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus was there when creation happened.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus always has been.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: was and always will be.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So let's go back into this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So he says, I brought you this verse one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I brought you up from Egypt and brought you into the land that I promised your fathers.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I said, I will never break my covenant.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's promise with you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But you, verse two, but you must not make a pact.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: with the inhabitants of this land.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: What does that mean to happen to us?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That means people who are stilling the land before, people who are living there, people who worship false gods, people who are defeating you, people who God told them to defeat.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now people say, oh, God's not like, my God's not like this, I got news for you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're worse being a God who tells you to be disobedient to him, that's not the Lord God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's not y'all way.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, it says,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But you must not make a pack with the inhabitants of this land, and you must tear down their alters.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Yet you have not obeyed me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: What is this you have done, first three?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So now I say, I will not drive them out before you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They will be thorns in your sides, and their gods will be a snare to you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now what does God's mean?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought there was one God, pastor, there is.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But that's demons, that's false worship.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, those are idols.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm not saying every one of these saints were demons.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying that, but there were no other gods.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: These are false gods.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But this is demonic stuff, and they chose that, and these other people's false gods.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But for the Lord God, if God tells you to do it, if God says it, it is guaranteed.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And we need to follow it, amen, amen.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So, this is why we have 12.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Judges in the book of judges.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to go read to you book of judges.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I went through all this this weekend.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me just tell you days, days of reading, days of making marks, days of outlining all this and oh my goodness.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It warming out, but I'll tell you what who's in it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We have six minor leaders.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: and six major meters.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This doesn't mean that six major meters are more important than the minor meters, but they're known of better.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So let's take a look at them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Number one, we have off kneel.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: off in the olds the first and he delivered Israel from the cushion, Raschithim, and he delivered them out of there and that's the Armenians.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He delivered them from the Armenians.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Then we have these are the six major leaders.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Number two, we have E-HUD.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now there's the second leader and this they assassinated.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now this is an interesting story.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You have to read this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: E-HUD assassinated King Iglan.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Eglon of Moab, so this is the Moabites, but what he did was Eglon was a big fat guy.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't look at me when I say it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, okay.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Eglon says it was a big fat dude.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I married because he said Eglon, remember me of Eglon.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He said Eglon was a great big fat man and he was arrogant and so on the time he received or it says it's just like a great big fat man and like an Eglon.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So he was told by God to go take him and he did and it said it stabbed him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: stabbed him and, and man, I mean, he stabbed him and he couldn't get the knife out because all the fact.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And so Iglon was a horrible man who hated God and E.H. took care of it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Then we have Debra.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Debra is number three of the six major leaders, the six major judges.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Debra was the only female in this and it was because she was close in tune with God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: People used her a lot
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, women are can be used of God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That does it, this is not a women power thing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This is a God power thing, okay?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I want to make this perfectly clear.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not women power, nonsense.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's hippie nonsense.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I say it because it is.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not hippie nonsense.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's God power, okay?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God's power through her because she was obedient and listened to him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: She was a prophetess and the only female judge and she led Israel with Barric.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: His Barric was the leader.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: who God used with her and they took down the Canaanites then we have Gideon who I love I love Gideon But Gideon Mamous takes two.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So Gideon who's also known as Jarababble or Jarabale excuse me Jarabale And what does Jarabale mean is this mean Jarabale it means that basically Bale will contend he will plead Bale will fail Bale means felt false God and he defeated the Midianites how many 300
-
[SPEAKER_00]: and by defeating 300,000's fell with them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But the point is that the reason why God wanted to defeat the 300, it wasn't because God could only defeat 300.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God wanted to show through defeating many or miniature small amount that he would defeat many.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what God wanted to show.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He wanted to show his great power.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: See, God's in that still small voice.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And then we have number five, Jeff thought.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Jeff thought was known for his tragic vow.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He fought the Ammonites, the Philistines, and the Iframites.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He fought a lot.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Then we have Samson.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you all know Samson.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He probably the most well known as Samson.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Samson was known for his great strength.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, it wasn't his strength.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It was a strength of the Lord through him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He never cut his hair.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He was a, oh, I can't think what you call him right now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Nazareth and he never, uh, not Nazareth and Nazareth, but he never cut his hair.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And because of that, he went through, and it wasn't, the strength wasn't technically in his hair, the strength wasn't that beautiful hair, just like mine.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: His strength was in the Lord God, and he made that vow.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was the fact he had weaknesses with women and other things.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It was the fact that he gave in to that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So he's known for his great strength, and he fought the Philistines and bowels ands were killed.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So then we see the minor leaders, we have Shamgar.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Jam car killed 600 Philistines with an ox and excuse me, with an ox gode, no, what's an ox gode?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, this was a tool that they would cut with and he killed 600 Philistines with it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Then we see Tola, Tola is another minor leader.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He, he judged is you're for 23 years and we don't know how many he killed.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't say.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And then we see
-
[SPEAKER_00]: strange name, but Jair judge Israel for 22 years and had 30 sons.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know how many he got destroyed through him, which should say, and then we have Ebsan, or Ebsan, excuse me, Ebsan, judge Israel for seven years, but we have no idea how many the Lord destroyed through him, and then Elan, Elan, or Elan actually, Elan, yes, like Elan Musk, but Elan, judge Israel for ten years, have no idea how many that was destroyed, and then there's the last
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Abdom.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Abdom had 40 sons and 30 grand sons and judged for eight years.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I mentioned all these for one main reason because God used these judges.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He used these judges.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: to rule and do these things.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It was God through them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There's one other, and that's a bit Malek.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: A bit Malek wasn't really a judge.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This was Gideon's son.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He's mentioned in chapter 9 as a self-appointing king, not counted on as among the godly delivers, but people talk about him, but he was good, but he wasn't the Lord's judge.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Just so you know, either way, what does it take
-
[SPEAKER_00]: you have to have courage.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to have courage.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I want to mention courage because this time of your fear is everywhere.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Fear is everywhere.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it's hard.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: whenever there's fear all the way to the place.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It could be demonic things because you see it, you see the films and the books and the things on TV and people are like, oh, and they're all praise and the Halloween stuff and all that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I got no problem with people having a good time with pumpkins on their junk.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The problem I have a problem, I mean, just for the fun stuff of the little children, the problem I do have a thing I have a problem with is when people are praising evil, when they're praising death, when they're praising murder,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, murder.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Even on the news, I see that a person gets killed sometimes around stupidity.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They're all in malice.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: and people praise that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not talking about praising the law for killing someone.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes they have to do with they have to do because the person is dumb, but they praise the person for doing something illegal in a moral.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: How about this?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: A woman murders her three children.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If you were like, three, her!
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, you moron.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This woman strangled her children, you fools.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You are praising a murderer rather than God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's foolish.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's ungodly in every single way.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But the law is to be followed.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The law of God first, that shall not murder.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, love your children, bring them up in the way of the Lord.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't mean you just put some murder.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And people do this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Why do they do this?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because they're not following God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So courage during difficult times is the next part.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Currents during difficult times.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We have difficult times all the time.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you have on the job problems, maybe even a threat to your job, and you don't know what to do about it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe people are threatening your job, and they say not to preach on the job.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you're not supposed to preach on the job, but sometimes people say just living is preaching.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's not you that they're saying, it's Christ through you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: When you're living, they see Jesus Christ in you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good thing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But if they think you're preaching, there's a difference between going outside.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember what it says a jaw three, six, two, you know, every time something happens, when somebody comes in by the way, if you're working in McDonald's or whatever, and someone comes in and gets a number one, you know, big Mac or whatever.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's still that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And they're like, well, just remember when you eat that, you need to pray, otherwise you're not going to go ahead or whatever.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: don't be doing that kind of stuff because that doesn't work.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: All it does is make a person go to see that's why I don't go to church.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You see they use it opposite.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't do that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's preaching.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't you know be very careful.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But also be courageous.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Be courageous to follow God live for the Lord God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And when you live for the Lord God people are going to hate you sometimes.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They don't hate you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They hate Christ and listen with you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But be courageous.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Be wise.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Be brave.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Be Christ
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it will be mocked, we may fun of, and that's okay.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't feel okay, Pastor.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I know that sometimes it feels hurtful.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it feels painful.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it's across you bare.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes you have that in your family.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We have a woman here at the church, she's not here at the moment, but sometimes people talk about their family's treating them poorly because they love the Lord.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I know it hurts.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: but that's the part of the cross that you have to bear.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember that next time someone walks you, makes fun of you, it's okay.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You should remember it's part of the nails that gets put in your hand.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And it hurts.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It hurts poorly and badly.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Just remember keeping loving because guess what's gonna happen when those people have problems?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, they may mock you, make fun of you, but get through they're gonna go to, they're not gonna go to the people at the bar.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna come to you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: you're going to come quietly to you and say, what do I do about this?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know why?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They may mock you on the outside of a deep down.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They respect you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They respect the Lord God because they feel his presence and they know there's a difference.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They know there's a difference.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The pastor, I don't see it now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't feel it now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I know you don't.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But God knows.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And they know.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And you remember that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't feel good.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes I just want to cry and be alone.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I know that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But don't cry and be alone.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: cry to the Lord, limit to him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He'll build you up one step at a time.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember what it says in Psalm 128 verse 1.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Psalm 128 verse 1 says, Well, that says everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his way, way to minister.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm supposed to be scared of God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I can understand why that's what it sounds like.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But when we fear God, it doesn't mean being scared of him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now the world sometimes feels that way because they don't know him or understand him, but that's not what it means.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It means to respect God, it means to know him, it means to know his word and follow it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what fear the Lord means.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And we talk about that every year, but it's important to know it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's important to remind ourselves.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The pastor, why do we go some of these the same things that are thinking in November, a fear in October, because it's just like Christmas traditions.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You have to remind yourself, it's like getting your oil changed in your car.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You have to be reminded of these things.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So one of you guys just said, oh my goodness, I need to get that done yet, we do.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But that's something we have to do.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We have to get our spiritual oil change and remember these things.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Saw our excuse me, Proverbs chapter one verse seven.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Proverbs chapter one verse seven.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say this part, fools despise wisdom and discipline.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about that in a Sunday school while ago.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They don't want to be disciplined.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They don't want that, but it's important, and you need it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll say again, the fear of the Lord, as Proverbs 17, the fear of the Lord is beginning of knowledge, fools despise wisdom and discipline.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This is what the world is like.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's why they don't like you a lot of times.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're a reminder of wisdom.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Not because you're wise, but wise is Christ through you, through me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of times I was disliked, and I can understand that, but it's Jesus, it's not you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And then you need courage during fearful times.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's important.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Courage during fearful times.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you are going through a fearful time in your life right now, and you don't know why.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's job troubles.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now I mentioned having a job while I go, but job troubles, maybe your job is on the line right now,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I always hated about working out there in the, out there in the world, I hated when they're like, we're getting together and we're coming together with this other company and that means we're going to jobs are going to be lost and it's okay.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's really a good thing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, they'll say that to the person who's going to lose their job.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a good thing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a good day for you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You get jerk who's way up there on top of can't be touched.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember one time years ago, I knew someone who was told their job was going to be lost.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But don't worry, it's all going to be good.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The boss said, you know, I shouldn't laugh about this, but I did.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It was great was, guess who lost their job?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It won the workers.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It was the bosses.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I shouldn't laugh about it, but I did because these bosses were talking to the workers.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't worry, it's all going to be good.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's all going to work out because they were going to lose their job and then the workers didn't lose their job.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The bosses did.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I want to say, not because I really wanted to lose their job.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want people who, but I felt like they were talking down to the workers and in reality, it switched on them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I thought, good for you, not because the work I don't want boss, anyone to leave job, but the fact that the very down talking they were going to the worker should have been reversed and it did.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God took care of it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So courage during fearful time, job trouble is living troubles, finances, and health issues.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Sadly, I understand all that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe your health is in trouble.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's not your health.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's family health.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I was thinking about this the other day by my father and others.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If I could say it without pride, I was thinking about them watching me get cut open and the others who passed away.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's hard to watch your loved ones go through suffering.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And you would do anything to protect them from it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And my poor folks and others who had to watch me go through so much.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm so sorry that I've ever had to make anyone suffer.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But God is with us, even in the most difficult times.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sorry, as a pastor, that I've ever had to make you suffer, watching me go through any of this, and he's going through health issues or financial troubles are difficult.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But God is with us, and we can have courage knowing that graders he who's in me, that he who's of the world.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And we can keep on going.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Mark chapter five, verse 35 through 36 says,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, a man came and told Jesus about his daughter suffering and dying.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: and Jesus was on his way to go see this daughter.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing that I love about this is while he was going to, he was interrupted because there was a woman who was suffering.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: She had been going through a physical problem that women go through, but hers never went away as she was bleeding, terrible.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: For years, doctors took advantage of her in all this and while Jesus was on his way to take care of a little daughter there's woman touched him, he said, whoa, whoa, someone touched me and I felt some of my health go.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And he turned around and he said, don't worry, it's all good because when she touched him, she was healed.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No longer did she suffer or bleed or anything else.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It got healeder.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So while all this was going on, listen what happens in Mark 5 35 through 36, while he was still speaking, some came from the house of the synagogue ruler and said, your daughter is dead.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: While trouble, why trouble the teacher any further?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Listen to this though.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: and it is, but listen to this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he said to the ruler of the synagogue, do not be afraid, only believe.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Years ago, I talked to the children where watching a video about it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a good video, good cartoons.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Bye.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: what was great.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, when we teach children, we should show some of these cartoons and things because it's really good for them to see this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I think they get to live it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But what was really great about this was this young man didn't understand.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He thought I was saying that Jesus was lying.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But he said, whatever they go there, he said, she's not dead.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: She's only going to sleep.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't understand that Jesus is a lying.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He's speaking in a spiritual sense.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: She was spiritually asleep in heaven.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But God touched her and brought her, he made her one leave.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: and he touched her and brought her back.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: She was not gone.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He was speaking about us.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: When we die, we don't die.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We go straight to heaven, remember that when you leave.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Brother Leon.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He's not dead.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He's with the Lord God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Sister and Brenda, he's not dead.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: She's with the Lord God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I have to leave here in a little bit and do a funeral.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But that brother who's suffered for over 14 years with cancer is not dead, but with the Lord God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And we need to remember this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We don't need to be afraid ever again, because Christ is with us and Creator is He.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And we need to remember that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Psalm 23 verse 4 says this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We spoke about it for our verse of the month.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: What does it say for you are with me, David spoke, for your rod and your staff, they comfort me, even the most difficult times, little words with this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Proverbs 3, by the way, this is David's son, Solomon.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Solomon.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: the wisest man, but pastor, he made so many mistakes.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone does.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Especially then, they didn't have rice living inside them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Your wisers in them think it is.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Probably three, five, three, seven.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I love it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I quote it all the time, but I love putting all three verses together.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Listen to this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lead not on your own understanding, verse 6, it all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will direct your past, verse 7, do not be wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord and depart from evil.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Isn't that beautiful?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Respect God, honor God, put him first.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: To par for me, well, this time of year, especially remember this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not honoring Satan.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying that Satan is better than you or anyone else.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The SEC has power.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But I said it before, and I'll say it again, greater excuse in you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If you use other word for a strong forefork, I will say that every day of my life, greater is he who is in you, than he use other word for a strong forefork.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because Jesus is strong, and guess what?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He is already beat him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He beat him on the cross.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He beat him from the grave.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He has beaten him to destroy him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He can do nothing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what people said it?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus had the keys.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They're talking in a literal sense of he's still there with keys.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: they talk is if he actually had literal keys going like this above him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, he didn't have literal keys.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus is the key.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He unlocked those gates for those who were past those who had faith.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about those who were saved in in in the Hades.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking, now I'm talking hell.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking the grave, okay?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And but here's the thing we need to remember as we adhere at just a moment.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We, as Christians, can have courage over fear.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Why can we have courage over fear?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, courage in the fear of God, that is to honor and respect God over fear.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And what is fear being afraid of the unknown things, afraid of the world, afraid of eternal hell.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's we don't need to be, because you're not going there.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But what if I lose myself, you can't lose yourself, Agent?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because remember, God is greater than you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God is greater than you, but but I can do all sorts of stupid things.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I might on the way home today, so my current friend of you, I might accidentally slip a say something.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I understand that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not justifying it, it, it, it happens sometimes.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Pastor, you're saying this okay to curse that's what I said.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I said that you're human, you make mistakes, you make it angry, you're tongue my slip, you might even think it, all these things are mistakes that human beings make, but when Jesus died on the cross, he died for your sleeping, he died for lying, he died for all this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This doesn't justify their say, you can just sin all you want is okay, no, no, no, no.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It says that God died for your mistakes and you don't have to come back up here and get saved again and again.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And again, we're not a Catholic church.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to get saved every single week.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to keep taking the literal blood in the literal skin that you eat.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, you don't have to do all that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, that's dumb and gross quite disgusting, by the way.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I think about that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: How gross is that?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Lou, but that's not what happens.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't need to be worried about that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The fear of God, that's to honor God, the honor of him who die of the cross who rose from the dead, who lives in your heart, is greater than the fear being afraid.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It is great.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to feed him tonight when you're home alone, and when you're in bed, and you're trying to go to sleep.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's Satan tries to come and tries to say, you're no good.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're no good, you should be afraid.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You can say to him, I know I'm no good, but Jesus is.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I know that I should go to hell, but I won't.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because if you have those answers already, he, K, if you listen to this, be courageous, be courageous, remember the lions, the lions in the Bible.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember the giants in the Bible.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember the bears in the Bible.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm not talking about the NFL.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The lions, the giants, the bears.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not talking about the NFL right now that we've defeated many of them already.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'd be more courageous in the fire in the Bible.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The earth plagues in the Bible.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The flood says, over fear, remember that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: nervous, of course they were nervous, but God was greater than all those things.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember when Isaiah went out there, I meant to say Elijah, Elijah went out there and what God was on the earthquake, God was on the fire, God was on the flames, God was that still small voice, God is in you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Choose the fear of God always, song 86 a lip.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Psalm 86 11, teach me your way, oh Lord, that I will walk in your truth, by and my heart to fear your name, to honor God, be with God, always.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Pastor, what if I make a mistake?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You will make a mistake.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You will make a mistake.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There's no, maybe it's gonna happen.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Pastor, are you just to find mistakes?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm not just to find mistakes.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm saying you're human being.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Do I don't you?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: For being human?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: What I'm saying is when you do a human thing, give the human being thing up to Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And he has already saved you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He's already done it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: John 1427, listen to this now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This is the last supper.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to remember that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He knew what was going to happen.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He already knew that Peter was going to make a stupid of himself.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He already knew that he was going to cut off the ear of a man just hours later.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Here you knew that Peter's pride was gonna get in the way and it did.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Here he knew that John, by the way, people always talk about Peter.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The author of this book, what did he do?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He ran.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: What did James do?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He ran.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: What did all the others do?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They ran.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Peter's not going to want to fail, they all failed.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Every single one of them, for all of a sudden, if I'm short of the glory of God, none of the rights is no not one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember that, Roman, so you 23.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So what does it say in John 1427, peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give to you, lean not your heart, excuse me, not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: When all these things happen around you, you're getting scared.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And young people, I'm saying this to you right now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I know what it's like to be your age, believe it or not.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I know what it's like.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I used to get, especially this time of year, I've started to get afraid.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you're afraid because of all the things you sing on the internet, which I did not have.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't have back then, believe it or not.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: A long ago, they didn't have all that stuff, but they did have movies.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They did have comic books and other things.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was afraid of stuff I saw.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And the devil would use those things and throw stuff in my mind that had not been on a movie or anything else, but I have an imagination.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was scared to death, I didn't know what to do.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I was terrified.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But the more I learned the word of God as I got older and a lot older, I started to realize that he has nothing on me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But Christ has all the things, that's why I threw up so many scriptures out there.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So you have ammo when he comes back to you, you have a shield, you have a sword, you have ammo to fire back, fire back, fire back and defeat him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: People say it's a sword, it is a sword, but it's also bullets.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's bullets.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So when he gets you, you're peeing, peeing, peeing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Fight back.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Fight back.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Second Timothy one seven now remember this one this is a point if you had one verse from this sermon this is it second Timothy one seven.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: For God has not given us a spirit of fear or to medity being timid that's another word for fear in this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God has not given us a spirit of fear or to medity but a power of but of power and love and self control.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't be timid.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: have, don't be full of fear overcome by it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Power, love, self-attroll.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God has given us this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Walk out there, full of courage, not your courage that courage to God, people like I can do anything.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I could get a touchdown, I could be a hero, I could be he-man, who needs Superman when you got me?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, you're nothing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Christ is everything, I gotta stand up now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Christ is everything.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not because Philip is great.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I know you see it now, you think, yes, he, no, I'm not.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Greater is he who's in me, I can do all things because of Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There's just something about that name.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: First Corinthians 1613, watch, stand fast in the faith.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Be bold like men and be strong.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Men, I say this to you a lot in the X men.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Be bold like men.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Be strong, be courageous, because greater is he using me, than usual, the world first drunk, or for I say that a lot too.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I want to go back to the Wizard of Oz for just a minute.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: because they like the yellow brick road, you know.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And the reason why I like it when I think of the Wizard of Oz, we talk about how the lion needs courage, and that 10 man needs a heart.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The scarecrow needs a brain and Dorothy needs a home.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: As a Christian, I related to all of them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And we need courage over fear.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, my heart was filled with Jesus' heart.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus is in my heart.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's who's in there.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: My heart has Jesus in why?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because of salvation.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Salvation of faith with His grace.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: My heart is fine now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have to be afraid of anything because Jesus is in my heart just like He's in yours.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: My brain in my mind.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now my physical brain has been through a lot, since I was a little boy.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: My physical brain has been through more battles and you can possibly imagine.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: To this day,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I have a hard time every day thinking, because of battles that I'm going through, even now, I'm battling things, however, my spirit of brain is stronger than it's ever been, because it is filled with the word of God, the Bible.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And every time the Bible tries to attack me, I'm strong because of Jesus' sin, his word.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what you need for your brain.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what you need.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: My home, it isn't here.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: 5312 has been my address since I was two years old.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I went away for a little over 10 years at a place to different places, but to be honest, 5312, Northeans 43rd carousers, has always been my true home here, but it's not really my home.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just filling in the gap here, living here.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's how I go home.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: My home isn't heaven.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I can't wait to go home.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And when I go home, it's coming great.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Heaven's my home, and it awaits me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And the Bible talks about a, not yellow brick road talks about a golden streets and we're going to get there.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's going to be the most beautiful place.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, not those little yellow painted bricks.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It is gold and golden bricks, baby.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: One more thing courage.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: My courage is not my courage at all.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You can't be built on your courage in your strength.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: My courage is built on the courage of God on Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I mentioned John four, four, while ago, and also on John 1030, what's John 1030?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: My father and I are one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You have the Lord God in your heart.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I have Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Same thing, my father and I are one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He's always with you wherever you go.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If you are not following God, if you don't feel like if you feel like you're alone, it's because you're not following the word, it's because you're not being built up and you're not leaning on him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember that one other thing Ephesians 413, I could do all things through Christ who strengthened me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I close with one last verse, Deuteronomy 31-6.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Deuteronomy 31-6 says,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: nor be afraid of them, for the Lord your God, it is He who goes with you, He will not fail you, nor forsake you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, did you know that's also in Hebrews, chapter 13, verse 5?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's in two places.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He is always with us who are not to be afraid.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He goes with us.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He will never forsake us, nor leave us.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember that this week, especially this month, when Satan tries to scare us and make us feel like we're nothing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You may feel that way.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember that God is everything and he's always with us, never leaves us in the or for sexist.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He's strong, wherever you go, have courage over fear.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And remember that God will never leave you he's with you always.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's about a pair of Lord God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I thank you for these wonderful people.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: My brothers, my sisters and Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I thank you, Lord God, that you have already defeated Satan years ago.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They thought they were defeating you and their stupidity won out over them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Though they thought they were defeating you, you were in the middle of the feeding them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And Lord, I thank you for it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I pray in Lord God, you'll continue to win.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You'll continue to defeat.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I pray in Lord God for our strength that we can win by following you every single day.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I pray for your will upon our lives.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I pray in Lord Jesus Christ there right now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We can just walk away from this place with courage.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And whenever the world tries to attack us in, they will, I pray that we remember they you Lord are greater than anything of this world.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I pray Lord God that we continue to build up the ammo from your word and have courage in it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And Jesus Holy Name, amen.
