Using Ordinary Words To Empower People | Guided Prayers

So often we wait to look for God's care in the big life-changing moments or highly spiritual settings, which makes sense.

But sometimes God uses simple conversations to bring hope, strength, and perspective.

You may never fully know the impact of speaking life into someone else.

In Hebrews 10.24, it includes this in the instructions for those living in community under the name of Jesus.

Encourage one another.

Before we go further, let's enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise, as the psalmist puts it.

Take 20 seconds and thank God for the blessings in your life, starting with the gift of relationship with Him.

Maybe you've been believing for something.

Maybe you've been asking for something.

Or maybe you've been working on something.

Maybe you've been growing in something.

God is the life changer.

Where do you need Him to meet you in your life right now?

Next, would you take 60 seconds and ask the Lord to place someone on your heart who needs encouragement today?

Maybe you know someone who is going through a hard season, or someone who is discouraged or might feel abandoned or overlooked.

Maybe someone who is just barely hanging on.

Let the Lord bring to your mind ways to be an encouragement to them today.

In the same way we just prayed that God would show up and show love to us.

Let's pray that over someone else and ask God how we can be part of that encouragement.

Use us today.
