  1. You're listening to The Bible Guys, a podcast where a

  2. couple of friends talk about the Bible in fun in

  3. practical ways.

  4. Hey, everybody, we are just thrilled, I mean thrilled to

  5. our very core.

  6. Woo hoo.

  7. Yes that you are back and you have joined us

  8. and we have joined you for another episode of the

  9. Bible Gush.

  10. So, Chris, you know that we only bring the finest news, yes,

  11. and special interest pieces to our listener.

  12. Because everybody knows in our culture today, everybody is longing

  13. for the most trustworthy sources of news.

  14. Yes, and so you know, for us, after we comb

  15. the Internet with all of the news sources out there,

  16. we still think the Babylon b Satire website is by

  17. far the most accurate and most helpful it is.

  18. It is definitely one of the most funny.

  19. So today we're gonna give a little bit of marriage help. Yes, yes,

  20. and this might be useful. The headline says, wife helpfully

  21. explains to husband what he meant by what he said.

  22. It's hilarious. It's so good.

  23. At Manhattan, Kansas, local wife Denise Thompson graciously sat down

  24. with her husband Mike to explain what he actually meant

  25. by what he said, it's funny. After confusion arose as

  26. to the interpretation of what mister Thompson was trying to say,

  27. Missus Thompson helpfully explained to him the true meeting behind

  28. his words. Quote. I know you think you know what

  29. you were trying to say, said Thompson gently, but trust me,

  30. that's not what you meant. Let me help you out here.

  31. According to sources, Mike had responded that sounds good to

  32. a query about joining his wife for a trip to

  33. her parents' house. However, Denise informed that his true feelings

  34. were quite different. She said, I know you said that

  35. you're happy to come with me, but the way you

  36. said it, it's obvious that what you meant is that

  37. I spend too much time with my mom. Explained to Nise,

  38. you were really trying to say that I need more

  39. emotional separation from my mom because she takes up too

  40. much of the role that should belong to my husband.

  41. Of course, you don't want to go to their house

  42. and deal with it, even though you feel like it

  43. pulls us apart as a couple. Why won't you just

  44. say these things out loud? Mike at publishing time, Mike

  45. had had Denise if Denise could go ahead and tell

  46. him in advance what his follow up response would mean

  47. and if he needed to sleep on the couch.

  48. And all. He said he'd be happy to come with it.

  49. Yeah, he's like, that sounds good. Yeah, And apparently he

  50. meant way more than that sounds good. Did you ever

  51. find that out before?

  52. Oh?

  53. You know that you said more words than you said.

  54. I actually this is a little confession time.

  55. Okay, So, so my wife and I have identified a

  56. long time ago that she is a high feeler and

  57. I'm a high thinker, and I definitely want to be

  58. careful on the podcast and say one is not better

  59. than the other and one is not worse than the other.

  60. Right, Okay, okay, okay, right, I'll let you say it.

  61. Okay, thank you, because you're a high thinker as well.

  62. Right.

  63. But so, what often happens is I'll say something, well

  64. most of the time, I'll say something and it has

  65. no emotional value whatsoever.

  66. Right, I'll just say, like.

  67. Hey, you know, here's a question I just want to answer, right, question,

  68. you know whatever, And what happens is it comes back

  69. with she says, oh, you're just thinking this and I'm like,

  70. that's amazing how I was not feeling any of that. Right,

  71. So we have discussions all the time because I think

  72. what happens is just by the way we're wired.

  73. Is she hears it and says.

  74. Oh, he must be feeling this, But I'm like, it's

  75. amazing how I wasn't even close to feeling that, you know.

  76. So it's funny.

  77. We do have those discussions, believe or not at our

  78. house all the time.

  79. Yeah.

  80. I think women emotionally and in many ways mentally are

  81. far superior to men and are far more complex.

  82. Yeah.

  83. Yeah, I am, and in some way superior. I am

  84. not complex. Well, I usually are not any level, hardly

  85. any level, and so it's possible for me to say

  86. things without even thinking things.

  87. Right.

  88. Literally, my brain is empty. Words come out of my mouth.

  89. Right. Have you ever seen that community? They talked about

  90. the boxes and the brains?

  91. No, are you kidding me? It's wonderful.

  92. I'll sum it up.

  93. But basically he's not really a comedian as much as

  94. he is like a comic Bible teacher.

  95. But basically he says he's got.

  96. Like two mannequins and then there's two brains on two

  97. different pedestals, and he walks over to the uh women's brain.

  98. He says, it's all connected, like a ball of wires.

  99. He said, this thought is connected to this thought, this thought.

  100. This. He goes over to the men's brain.

  101. He goes.

  102. Men's brains are boxes, He goes. They're just different categories

  103. of different topics.

  104. He goes.

  105. In those boxes all exist together. He goes. In those

  106. boxes do not touch, he said, do not touch, he says.

  107. He goes. He goes, what men do?

  108. He goes.

  109. He goes. They go to one box, they pull it out,

  110. They open that box.

  111. There's a sandwich in that box.

  112. They think about what's only in that box? That's right,

  113. he goes.

  114. And then when that box is done, he goes. They

  115. put the box away. He goes, and then they make

  116. sure that the boxes do not touch.

  117. He goes. Now men's favorite box is there is a

  118. box of nothing. He goes. He goes. They take out

  119. that box.

  120. He goes.

  121. It is their go to box. We open it up,

  122. and the bifle saying, what are you thinking about?

  123. And he says, no, that nothing, And he's being honest,

  124. I'm not thinking nothing.

  125. Right, And so he goes. Wives are not that way.

  126. Yeah. So the ladies listening to the podcast right now,

  127. we're going, that's not true. You're thinking something, right, just

  128. telling you we're not that complex.

  129. Yeah, yeah, it's it's actually quite simple. Matter are quite simple, yeah,

  130. which is hilarious.

  131. So I have like my sandwich and hamburger box, like

  132. I'm hungry, let's go get that box, and I'm not

  133. thinking about anything else at that moment, just let's go eat.

  134. Then there might be like a football box, or then

  135. there's like a friends and co workers boxes, and those

  136. are separate boxes. And then there's the the I've got

  137. things I need to do at home box, and then

  138. there's the family relationship boxes. Right, keep all those things separate.

  139. They're not the same. And I didn't mean one thing

  140. by doing something else. I only meant the thing I

  141. was doing. Right, I'm not sophisticated.

  142. And I was gonna say, and we've described the majority

  143. of all your boxes.

  144. Those are all five of them. And then they got

  145. a stuff box like the box all my stuff in. Yeah,

  146. that by itself, ladies, was the price of admission today.

  147. That's right.

  148. Just to discover literally, it took us five minutes and

  149. fifty five seconds to explain how unsophisticated men are, and

  150. we read an entire article right right.

  151. But when David and Wilson taught this are good friends.

  152. And instead of doing like the ball of wires like

  153. they all touch, she did, you.

  154. Know pop ups on computer.

  155. She's trying to make it a big more modern and so

  156. she put on the screen like a computer that has

  157. a lot of pop ups. They keep up, pop up, up, up,

  158. up up, and she says, you know, one thoughts connected

  159. to the other, which is the other? And I leave

  160. the iron on and oh, by the way, you know

  161. her son and this and that is all.

  162. It is all.

  163. Connected and and then like I think you know the other?

  164. The other computer screen was like you know, one document

  165. and it had like five.

  166. Words on it.

  167. Right. Remember Brian Reagan talking about he went golfing with

  168. his buddy and we got home his wife as team goodness,

  169. how's Mike and his wife's marriage doing.

  170. He's like, how would I know that?

  171. I don't know? How would I know that? Said he

  172. ran the golf course with him for four hours.

  173. And he goes, he goes, I know he has a

  174. new driver, and he goes, is he daddy anyone?

  175. And he goes, A, would that ever come up?

  176. He goes, I can't even imagine how that would come up,

  177. And he goes, hey, Billy.

  178. Goes, we got about one hundred and fifty nine out.

  179. He goes, I think you ought to use your right arm.

  180. Are you dating anyone? It is so good?

  181. Same thing. You were with him for four hours on

  182. the golf course. You can't find out if he's it's

  183. so funny. Nope, those things are separate, two different boxes. Now,

  184. if this is a hey, I need to go call

  185. my friend he's hurting, I'll open that box. Sure, but

  186. it doesn't feel like that's a golf box, right, Okay,

  187. speaking of opening up boxes, Oh oh, King Uzaiah wound

  188. up having a problem and we're going to talk about

  189. that tomorrow. Yeah. I can't get there, man, I don't know.

  190. Okay, how about this speaking of differences, okay, it seems

  191. like we have a lot of differences of opinion in

  192. this next story.

  193. Ooh okay, yeah, okay, good John, there you go. Yeah,

  194. And differences of opinion for men means we're going to

  195. go to war right again again again. This whole book

  196. man first and sect, gigs first and tent Chronicles, all war,

  197. all the time, baskets of heads, right, that's what we're doing.

  198. That was last week's episode. Yeah. So in Second Chronicles,

  199. chapter twenty six, verse one, it says, and we're going

  200. to read through verse twenty one. It's all right, Yeah, yep.

  201. All the people of Judah had crowned Amazia's sixteen year

  202. old son Usiah as king in place of his father.

  203. After his father's death, Usiah rebuilt the town of Elath

  204. and restored it to Judah. Usaiah was sixteen years old

  205. when became king, and he reigned and drew some fifty

  206. two years. His mother was Jekaliah from Jerusalem. He did

  207. what was pleasing in the Lord's sight, just as his

  208. father Amaziah had done. Usiah sought God during the days

  209. of Zechariah, who taught him to fear God. And as

  210. long as the king sought guidance from the Lord, God

  211. gave him success. I love that sentence. It's one of

  212. my favorite sentences in the Bible. Yusaiah declared war on

  213. the Philistines and broke down the walls of Gath, Jabna

  214. and Ashdod. Then he built new towns in the Ashdod

  215. area and in other parts of Felistia. God helped him

  216. in his wars against the Philistines, his battles with the

  217. Arabs of Gur, and his wars with the Moonites. The

  218. Moonites paid annual tribute to him, and his fame spread

  219. even to Egypt, for he had become very powerful. Yusaiah

  220. built fortified towers in Jerusalem at the corner gate, at

  221. the valley gate, and at the angle in the wall.

  222. He also constructed forts in the wilderness and dug many

  223. water cisterns. Because he kept great herds of livestock in

  224. the foothills of Judah and on the plains. He was

  225. also a man who loved the soil. He had many

  226. workers who cared for his farms and vineyards, both on

  227. the hillsides and in the fertile valleys. Yusaiah had an

  228. army of well trained warriors ready to march into battle.

  229. Unit by unit. This army had been mustered and organized

  230. by Jail, the secretary of the army, and his assistant

  231. ma Asiyah. They were under the direction of Hanna and Ayah,

  232. one of the king's officials. These regiments of mighty warriors

  233. were commanded by twenty six hundred clan leaders. The army

  234. consisted of three hundred and seven thousan five hundred men,

  235. all elite troops. They were prepared to assist the king

  236. against any enemy. Jaiah provided the army, the entire army

  237. with shields, spears, helmets, coats of mail, bows and slingstones,

  238. and he built structures on the walls of Jerusalem designed

  239. by experts to protect those who shot arrows and hurled

  240. large stones from the towers in the corners of the wall.

  241. His fame spread far and wide, for the Lord gave

  242. him marvelous help, and he became very powerful. But when

  243. he had become powerful, he also became proud. That's one

  244. of the saddest verses in the Bible, which led to

  245. his downfall. He sinned against the Lord, his God by

  246. entering the sanctuary of the Lord's temple and personally burning

  247. incense on the incense altar. Azariah, the high Priest, went

  248. in after him with eighty other priests of the Lord,

  249. all brave men, and the confronted King Uzia and said,

  250. it is not for you, Usiah to burn incense to

  251. the Lord. That is the work of the priests alone.

  252. The descendants of Aaron who are set apart for this work.

  253. Get out of the sanctuary, for you have sinned. The

  254. Lord God will not honor you for this. Usiah, who

  255. was holding an incense, burned and became furious. But as

  256. he was standing there raging at the priest before the

  257. incense altered in the Lord's temple, leprosy suddenly broke out

  258. on his forehead. When Azariah, the high Priest, and all

  259. the other priests saw the leprosy, they rushed him out,

  260. and the king himself was eager to get out because

  261. the Lord had struck him. So King Usiah had leprosy

  262. until the day he died. He lived in isolation in

  263. a separate house, for he was excluded from the temple

  264. of the Lord. His son Jotham was put in charge

  265. of the royal palace, and he governed the people of

  266. the land. Wow. Yeah, so that was the part I

  267. was referencing with the he got himself in trouble. I

  268. just thought we were reading it tomorrow. I just realized

  269. we're reading the whole thing. So wow, that's too bad, man.

  270. I love the first half, hate the second half.

  271. Sure, sure, so yes, So he was he was great,

  272. and he followed God and he was blessed, and he

  273. spent many years doing very productive things.

  274. Uh.

  275. They were both practical and wise and uh, you know,

  276. uh prosperous, right. And it sounds like he was just

  277. a fantastic leader until he got too big for his breches.

  278. That's really what it was. And unfortunately he got too

  279. big for his breeches in the wrong area, which is

  280. he felt entitled. When it comes to what God says.

  281. Have you ever met? I know you have.

  282. But like somebody who they're a successful pastor, or let's

  283. just say they're not even a pastor, they're they're they're

  284. involved in the church. Perhaps they're like a main leader

  285. of a church, right, like a founder or a main

  286. volunteer or a main contributor or something like this, and

  287. they feel as if they have more authority than they have,

  288. like they like they want they want more authority, and

  289. they feel bigger.

  290. Beyond what they really are, right right, and.

  291. Uh and they feel important and uh and and uh

  292. and sometimes people have have even crossed the boundaries of like, well,

  293. I don't get paid enough by the church, so I'm

  294. just gonna, you know, take the church's money and do this.

  295. And you know, I've seen that all the time, and

  296. those are the dangers.

  297. Right.

  298. We don't like to talk about that too much because

  299. the Church has had enough black eyes in the.

  300. World, right, right, And we don't have to sit here

  301. and give the church another black eye. But we don't

  302. want to ignore it and be pretending either, because that's

  303. what it sounds like to me. It sounds like to me.

  304. Like here's a king who's supposed to represent, you know, God,

  305. and he loved God, followed God, was blessed by God,

  306. and all of a sudden he got so big for

  307. his britches. He goes inside the temple and he oversteps

  308. his bounds in the temple, right and and and obviously

  309. this man knew the assumed that he knew God's commands.

  310. He probably knew that.

  311. Well, he couldn't have been honoring God if he didn't

  312. know his commands, right, that's right, right, that's corret. So

  313. he followed after his father, who his father was a

  314. man that followed God. Right, you had to have known

  315. the God's laws in order to have followed him.

  316. And how we know that he knew is that the

  317. priest rebuked him and he got angry, yeh, right, So

  318. so you know, it's like, hey, I don't want to

  319. be challenged, I don't want to be talked to. I

  320. don't want to be corrected. And I got to tell

  321. you that there's a sermon right there in itself. You know,

  322. when somebody comes to you who's in authority, whether you

  323. like them or not, whether you agree with them or not,

  324. you have to be willing to hear something if it

  325. measures up to what God's word says, right, right, because

  326. it's not about the person approaching you. It's about the

  327. you know, it's about the thing that.

  328. You're being approached about.

  329. So somebody comes up to you, for instance, even if

  330. you don't like him, right, didn't you say didn't you

  331. say that you went on a you went on a

  332. trip and somebody approached you about something and then you

  333. push back and said no, no, no, no, you know, like you know,

  334. I think this, this is what the Bible says. And

  335. then and then they came to you, and what was

  336. the phrase they used?

  337. He said, He came back later and said, you have

  338. rebuked me, Yes from the Lord, and I receive it

  339. and received it, which is such a He was wrong,

  340. he was wrong in that, and that.

  341. It was such a nice thing to say a certain

  342. category people, certainly, but it was it was a funny

  343. response to me.

  344. It was a humble response, but it was a funny

  345. way to say.

  346. It, right, right.

  347. He could have just said for you and I we

  348. would have probably went back. If that was us, we

  349. would have said, hey, you.

  350. Challenged me, and what you said was right, and I and.

  351. I think that what you said. I would say what

  352. you said was honest to me, I appreciate your challenge

  353. and I'm going to accept that.

  354. Yeah, because what you said was biblical, and what you

  355. said I agree.

  356. But he just used these kind of arcane words. You know,

  357. it was funny. You've rebuked me, brother, and I receive it.

  358. And I received it, which, by the way, at one

  359. point in time in my life, I would have said

  360. the yeah absolutely, growing up in my denomination. Yeah, but anyway,

  361. but hey, regardless of that's funny and not like us.

  362. Give it up for that guy.

  363. Yeah right, very humble, very humble in that one.

  364. And it takes humility to go back to somebody and say,

  365. you know what, you challenge me, and I think what

  366. you said was right, and I think what you said

  367. lined up with God's word.

  368. And I was trying to build a case, and I

  369. think you're right.

  370. Yeah, So I think it's interesting this area that it

  371. mentions that Usaiah. I mean, he's only sixteen years old.

  372. He reigns for fifty two years. The last ten years

  373. of his reign he's co reigning with his son Joe

  374. Ash because he has leprosy now, right, So he led

  375. as the authority from the time he was sixteen until

  376. also for what forty two years? So how old is

  377. that fifty eight? Yeah, and then ten more years after

  378. that with leprosy. But it talks about how he goes on.

  379. There's a few things he does, and I love this.

  380. First of all, he seeks God during the days of Zachariah,

  381. and there's a book in the Bible, we'll read it

  382. here Zachariah's time when Zachariah was the prophet right, and

  383. Zachariah taught him to fear God. And because of that,

  384. as long as the king sought guidance from the Lord,

  385. God gave him success, right. And the successes are victory

  386. over God's enemies and stability in his own kingdom right.

  387. And so he defeats the Philistines, he breaks down the

  388. walls of Gath and Jabna and Ashdod, which are all

  389. in what is so if you're trying to figure that out,

  390. Felistia was right on the Mediterranean and is in the

  391. area of what is now modern day Gaza. It's right

  392. in that area. So the Palestinians and the Philistines are

  393. the same rights. That's where this name came from, very

  394. very similar. It's just a modern version of that old thing.

  395. So they wipe out these towns and he literally tears

  396. down the walls in what is modern day Gaza, but

  397. only back then, and these were people that had fought

  398. against God all these things. The moonights, he comes and

  399. he gets tribute, so he doesn't wipe them out entirely,

  400. but he is getting taxes from them. His fame begins

  401. to spread. God's doing all these things right, and then

  402. he has technological advances, so it talks about how he

  403. builds these towers and the strategic spots on his wall,

  404. which you know the wall has been rebuilt. At this point,

  405. his father had lost Asia Aziah. Amaziah had lost to

  406. Jerebo in the second also in another battle, the King

  407. of Israel, he lost twice to northern Israel, but he

  408. was able to come back and rebuild all these things,

  409. get it all put back together. And only that now

  410. he builds it with advantage, with towers and all these things.

  411. And then there's a thing. I've always loved this. The

  412. New Living Translation translates it slightly different than some of

  413. the other translations. It says in verse fifteen, he built

  414. structures on the walls of Jerusalem designed by experts to

  415. protect those who shot arrows and hurled large stones from

  416. the towers in the corners of the wall. Some of

  417. the translations seemed to imply what he built were things

  418. similar to catapults, like what the Romans used. This was

  419. extremely advanced technology for the day. Right, because it says

  420. hurls large stones. But if you get down to where

  421. it says or to shoot rather than to protect, right,

  422. because it says experts to protect those, whereas in the

  423. original it may have said to shoot arrows and hurl

  424. large stones. So if that's the case, he literally has artillery.

  425. Right.

  426. And that's why they were so prosperous and so easily protected. Right,

  427. they were dominant, and the one he had three hundred

  428. and seven five hundred foot soldiers that were elite. And

  429. then he's got these apparently it looks like some kind

  430. of a catapult and arrow launching systems that could protect

  431. his his city. It's pretty cool. Yeah, it's very cool.

  432. All those things came because he was following God, is

  433. what I'm saying. Yes, yeah, God gave him advantages.

  434. Yeah, that's great.

  435. And uh and and by the way, that's uh, that's

  436. a principle for life, isn't it so that that's probably

  437. the biggest sermon in this whole thing.

  438. Yeah, you know, you understand that.

  439. You know. My my coin phrase that I've always said

  440. since I was in college is that when God gives

  441. us any command or invitation, either to live well or

  442. please him, he gives it to us for two reasons.

  443. Number One, it's always for his glory.

  444. Always.

  445. It's going to glorify him through your life. It's going

  446. to further his kingdom. God's endgame is to bring glory

  447. to himself. He has another choice to be stuck on himself,

  448. because who else is going to be stuck on? Right right,

  449. He's gonna He's gonna bring glory to himself. And that's

  450. God's end game always. And then the second reason is

  451. for our benefit and and and and by the way, uh.

  452. That's not to say it'll be easy.

  453. That's not to say it will always be you know,

  454. uh understandable or even on the surface beneficial. But it's

  455. always going to be for our benefit in terms of

  456. the rules and the commandments that God gives, because there's

  457. a big difference between like hardships come our way.

  458. I'm not talking about that.

  459. I'm not talking about I'm not talking about like, you know,

  460. us having to you know, make hard choices and all

  461. of a sudden there's consequences that we face and we

  462. do what's right and it comes our way.

  463. That's just the evil of men. I'm not talking about that.

  464. I'm talking about God places a rule, God places a commandment,

  465. God places a guideline. God gives a principle, God gives

  466. an invitation. All of those those are given, those are

  467. set in stone, those are universal, Those those are guidelines

  468. for life. And when God gives us those things.

  469. It's always for a benefit, right, right, and then when

  470. we follow them, then we will have prosperous success.

  471. And you know it was God that did it because

  472. it says, you know, it talks about those that shoot

  473. large hurl large stones and shoot arrows. The very next sentence,

  474. it's not even next verse, it's the next sentence says

  475. it's fame spread far and wide, for the Lord gave

  476. him marvelous help. Yeah, became very powerful. So God gave

  477. this technological advances. God gave wisdom, God gave great soldiers,

  478. God gave him. God did all those things. So a

  479. lot of times what we're hoping for is that God

  480. does some kind of like supernatural miracle where God just

  481. they don't have to do nothing. They don't have to

  482. do any work, they don't have to raise any taxes,

  483. don't have to train any armies. They're just zap zap,

  484. zap zap. That's what we want. But here, you don't

  485. want to be the most powerful manut of the world. Right,

  486. And instead, the marvelous help God gave was technological advances,

  487. good engineers, it literally says, experts, loyal soldiers who were

  488. elite troops right prepared to fight against any army, all

  489. those things. And then he had experts that helped him

  490. manage his soil. That he loved the soil, right. He

  491. was a man of the dirt, which is really great.

  492. There's the humility in that, I think a little bit.

  493. He's managing his vineyards, he's raising his sheep, he's doing

  494. all these things in God, all the work of his hands.

  495. God blessed. I think sometimes what we want God to

  496. do is doors apart from the work of our hands. Yeah,

  497. but God blessed him in this, and so because of that,

  498. he's outrageously prosperous. And then he begins to believe his

  499. own press. Yeah right, he begins to believe. Oh man

  500. uh uzaiah man. He is so smart and he's so powerful,

  501. and nobody can defeat him. And he he grows the

  502. best grapes, and he raises the best cattle, and he's

  503. got the strongest arm, and he's got the most technology,

  504. all this stuff blah blah blah, and it's all because

  505. God's blessed him. And so he's in there going, yeah,

  506. God has blessed me. You know what, I don't need

  507. these priests, right, And he goes against God's wills, God's willingness,

  508. and so what does God do. God goes, Yeah, you

  509. can't touch the holy thing. I've blessed you. But this

  510. holy stuff's not yours, right, right, that's the priest's job.

  511. And so God gives him the most feared disease on

  512. the planet at the time. Right, right, This would be

  513. like finding out you had AIDS suddenly, sure, right, this

  514. would be the most feared. It would be like finding

  515. out you had what's some one of your eyes bleed?

  516. What's that one?

  517. You know? You know I'm talking about Yeah.

  518. That's right, that's a just he immediately contracted the worst

  519. possible disease that they could have imagined at the time.

  520. And not only that, he kept it for ten years, right,

  521. the last ten years of his life, which is painful. Well,

  522. remember it said that people his fame spread fire wide

  523. and people came from all around to see him. Right,

  524. and now for his last ten years he's in isolation.

  525. He's literally, you know, away from everybody. What does it say?

  526. So King Zaiah had liprocine till the day. He lived

  527. in isolation in a separate house, for he was excluded

  528. from the temple.

  529. Of the Lore.

  530. Hey, by the way, just before we go, I just

  531. want to say for a little Bible study tidbit is

  532. that it seems like, you know, sometimes when you read Matthew, Mark, Luke,

  533. and John and sometimes they record the same stories. Yeah,

  534. and have you ever noticed in the gospels.

  535. Sometimes in one gospel there'll be like a full length

  536. story and another gospel will reference the story in like

  537. two sentences.

  538. Yeah, that's right. That's what Second Kings does. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

  539. Second Kings fifteen to five is like literally one verse

  540. and it summarizes, Oh, the Lord struck it with king

  541. leprosy until the day died, lived in isolation. And because

  542. we're reading a chronological Bible, the Bible we have, you know,

  543. in front of us, because that's what we're doing. We're

  544. going through the Old Testament chronologically.

  545. Uh. It just it flips back and forth sometimes.

  546. And it's interesting how Chronicles has all these passages and

  547. just one little verse.

  548. That's right. Yeah, so it covers the same same ground.

  549. There you go.

  550. Well, tomorrow is a big day.

  551. It is a big day.

  552. We're kicking off Jonah home, kicking off Jonah, Yes, Jonah, Jonah, Jonah.

  553. That's right. We uh, listen, I have we have that's

  554. our time. So we are going to have to sign off,

  555. so we will see you hopefully tomorrow for Jonah on

  556. the Bible.

  557. Guys,
