  1. You're listening to The Bible Guys, a podcast where a

  2. couple of friends talk about the Bible in fun, in

  3. practical ways. Good good morning's shaking it. He talked who

  4. through good morning, Good morning to you and you and

  5. you man. I said last week that I've never done

  6. it on a Monday, or at least you had, well,

  7. I rarely probably, I probably did it once.

  8. I don't ever remember you doing it. Well, it's it's delight.

  9. It is Monday.

  10. It just made everything better.

  11. Good morning everyone. We are the Bible Guys, and we

  12. are in the middle of a series called What If

  13. Jesus Had a Podcast?

  14. And we're doing famous statements or sayings. Yeah, and this

  15. is sayings that Jesus.

  16. And this is a very powerful statement that Jesus made today.

  17. I love this one out of the Book of Mark

  18. chapter four, which, by the way, I think in this

  19. series this is the first time we fit the Book

  20. of Mark.

  21. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

  22. Anyways, he says, peace be still.

  23. Peace be still. And before we get into that, however,

  24. Desiree has asked us to play a segment called Guess

  25. the Word, which is pretty much like taboo. Oh yeah,

  26. and if you're watching online, like on video. We will

  27. try our very best to put the words on the

  28. screen of the words that I'm not supposed to say,

  29. because that's really the challenge, and hopefully the listeners will

  30. try to guess before you.

  31. You're trying to have me guess the word that you're

  32. giving me clues to.

  33. Yeah, and the listeners are going to try to beat you.

  34. Okay, okay, you ready? Yes, all right?

  35. The first word? Okay. Sometimes when this is an electric one,

  36. it'll tickle your gums.

  37. Toothbrush.

  38. Yes, I was not allowed to say teeth brush, bathroom clean,

  39. or bristles.

  40. Ooh boy, okay.

  41. Okay, how about this one ready. In the military, if

  42. it's confidential stamped on the file, it'll say top blank secret, secret.

  43. I wasn't allowed to say tell, private, whisper hidden, or keep.

  44. Wow.

  45. Do you notice how I went military? Popsy? Pretty cool?

  46. That's right?

  47. Okay, oh gee whiz uh okay uh. This is when

  48. I get you to I stand in front of you

  49. and do a bunch of charades. Yes, yes, yes, but

  50. you helped me on that one. You helped me on

  51. that one.

  52. There you go.

  53. I wasn't allowed to say act, silent, guess, motion or

  54. game yeah and so yeah that that threw me almost.

  55. I couldn't you help me?

  56. Yes, I stand in front of you and do yes.

  57. Yes, Okay, here we go. The fourth word. Okay, butterbecan

  58. is my favorite flavored cream ice cream. I wasn't allowed

  59. to say cone, cold, scoop, vanilla or dessert.

  60. There.

  61. Yeah, that's there.

  62. You go, job Chris, Yeah, all right, okay.

  63. And okay. For my fiftieth a bunch of people were

  64. at a house party for my it was a total

  65. wasn't it just a party? It was?

  66. It was a birthday party.

  67. Yes, no, it was Uh, I was not it was

  68. not planned.

  69. Uh. Surprise, yes, surprise party.

  70. Yes. I wasn't allowed to say shock, unexpected, gift. I

  71. wasn't allowed to say party. Of course I did because

  72. you said party and then reaction. Wow.

  73. Okay, so surprise party, surprise, surprise nice yep?

  74. Okay, a town in Arizona, what surprise Arizona? Welcome to

  75. surprise yep?

  76. I guess so wow, well, good job. You want to

  77. talk about surprises. Oh, Jesus told the disciples, Hey, get

  78. in the boat. We're on the other side and right

  79. in the middle of it. They were surprised at how

  80. big of a storm came.

  81. Up, and they were also surprised to see what they

  82. thought was a ghost.

  83. And Jesus, well, no, not in this one. What yeah,

  84. not in this one.

  85. This is not the version where they thought it was

  86. a ghost.

  87. No, no, no, this is this is another storm where he says,

  88. peace be still.

  89. Oh oh is this the I was sleeping? Oh he's sleeping.

  90. Yeah.

  91. They were surprised to find Jesus sleeping. Okay, see my heading,

  92. It was not surprise. I didn't read the head. But

  93. the heading says Jesus calms the storm.

  94. That's right, yep.

  95. So well that's really neat.

  96. Well we're in Mark chapter four, verse thirty five, and

  97. we'll just read to the end of the chapter, verse

  98. forty one. It says as evening came, Jesus said to

  99. his disciples, let's cross to the other side of the lake.

  100. And so they took Jesus in the boat and started out,

  101. leaving the crowds behind, although other boats followed. But soon

  102. a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into

  103. the boat and it began to fill with water. Jesus

  104. was sleeping at the back of the boat. This had

  105. on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, teacher,

  106. don't you care that we're going to drown. When Jesus

  107. woke up, he rebuked the wind and said, of the

  108. wave of silence, be still. Suddenly the wind stopped and

  109. there was a great calm. Then they asked him, or

  110. he asked them, why are you afraid? Do you still

  111. have no faith? The disciples were absolutely terrified. Who is

  112. this man? They asked each other. Even the wind and

  113. waves obey him.

  114. Mmm, so Jesus is sleeping on a cushion in the

  115. back of the boat. Now all right, well listen, we're

  116. by the way. We launched into this pretty quickly.

  117. Oh, because we're getting better. We are getting better and better.

  118. Our goal is to constantly improve.

  119. Always make it ay, I dind ever tell you.

  120. Henry Blackaby Uh was at his office at Dallas Theological Seminary,

  121. and because he worked there for a bit, and one

  122. of his students was walking by very late at night

  123. and looked in through the window and saw him studying

  124. the Bible, reading the Bible and asked him about it

  125. like one of the next you know, following meetings or

  126. whatever classes, and said, uh, mister Blackaby, you're very old

  127. and you've probably read the Bible hundreds of times through,

  128. you've written dozens of books, and how in the world

  129. can you just continue to read the Bible? And his

  130. response was, son, I want my students drinking from a

  131. flowing brook, not a stagnant pond.

  132. Is that great?

  133. Isn't that great?

  134. Yeah?

  135. Yeah?

  136. Yeah? What was his great book? He wrote a great

  137. book experiencing experiencing God. That's experiencing God. Yeah, yeah, what

  138. a great.

  139. And by the way, did you know that he lived

  140. in Henry County, Georgia, My county, Henry County and he

  141. lived not even I'm not kidding, maybe six minutes from

  142. my house. Wow, yeah, I never I never met him,

  143. but I heard that he had went to Eagle's Landing

  144. Baptist Church right down the street, which is a pretty

  145. big church, maybe three four thousand and And also guess

  146. who else came from there? Casting Crowns, Oh wow, from there?

  147. There you go anyway, So that has nothing to do

  148. with this except for this, of course, Henry Blackby was saying,

  149. make it better.

  150. Yes, Well, all of that spawned because you said, we're

  151. trying to.

  152. We're trying to prove yeah.

  153. Right.

  154. So anyway, well we saved a minute and a half

  155. and then just wasted it on this story. But Henry,

  156. you know, Henry Blackabye was reading his Bible as an

  157. old man. Well that's what he was.

  158. I'm sure the black Cabee quote blessed people.

  159. It did. It was a great one.

  160. Yeah. So okay, so let's let's go back to the story.

  161. First of all, let's talk about the boat. You did

  162. you go to that restaurant in Israel right off of

  163. Capernaum where it was like Saint Peter's Restaurant or something.

  164. No, but we went out on a boat out on

  165. the Yeah, yeah, yeah.

  166. Yeah, yeah. There's there's this boat that they found.

  167. In the oh yeah, yeah, yeah. There's a couple of

  168. those around yeah, okay, okay.

  169. And and and this is what they say would be

  170. a typical fisherman's boat. That would that would be that

  171. it exists. Back then, they didn't have extravagant boats, right,

  172. they didn't have I mean, think about everything that you

  173. know that's old. They were usually pretty smaller. The luxury

  174. of big just didn't exist. And this boat that twelve

  175. Disciples and uh and Jesus would have been in would

  176. have been pretty small. It would have only probably been

  177. as wide as the table that we're sitting on, and

  178. it probably double triple the length and and maybe two

  179. and a half times the length of this of table

  180. and and uh and so it really wasn't like this.

  181. Uh oh, Jesus was sleeping below deck. You know, he

  182. wasn't sleeping you know, in some sort of luxury below

  183. deck situation. They don't think pirates or you know, big

  184. huge vessels like that, think fishermen, modest fisherman boats. So

  185. Jesus would have in the back they still call that

  186. the stern, and he would have been curled up. And

  187. think about if he's sleeping during a storm. Holy cow,

  188. how exhausted must he have been? Right? Do you do?

  189. You sleep through things like that?

  190. Yeah?

  191. Really?

  192. Oh yeah, we were all the time. I sleep. Once

  193. I go to sleep, I'm asleep, and I'm always startled

  194. when it's time to wake up. I am. I wake

  195. up every day with a start. If my alarm goes off,

  196. it shocks me. If somebody touches me to wake me up,

  197. it shocks me. I'm just always I'm just in a

  198. deep sleep and then suddenly awake.

  199. Oh my gosh, Bonnie must be so used to that

  200. that she she just anticipates.

  201. Well. So, traveling with Chad asmen, you know, around the world,

  202. he's our executive pastor at Heritage, we wind up doing

  203. a lot of work around the world. And when I'm

  204. traveling around the world, always sleep with the earplugs, so

  205. then I can't hear anything. Sometimes I wouldn't hear my

  206. alarm go off. So then Chad come over and he

  207. do it, and you know, I'm ready to fight. Yeah,

  208. I'm usually in the cocoon. I sleep in a cocoon,

  209. so uh, you know, blanket over my head kind of thing,

  210. and then all of a sudden, I'm ready to go.

  211. So now he'll if he ever has to wake me up,

  212. he'll reach way out and.

  213. Just so funny. Yeah, that is so funny.

  214. So once I go to sleep, now, I don't fall

  215. asleep quickly. If in a situation like that where it's

  216. un comfortable, yeah, a lot of times I don't fall

  217. asleep quickly. But yeah, So anyways, one thing that always

  218. strikes me about this story is that Jesus said, let's

  219. go to the other side. And this is a season

  220. rate these few days, it's heavy teaching. It's just everywhere

  221. he goes people wanting to heal them. Everywhere he goes,

  222. he's getting, you know, people chasing him down. They want

  223. him to teach, they want him to feed them, they

  224. wanted whatever. Even on this one, when they leave, he says,

  225. let's get in the boat and go to the other side.

  226. And in parentheses it says, although other boats followed, right,

  227. this is like paparazzi just chasing Jesus the overwhelming responsibility

  228. that came with the fame he had. At this point,

  229. I mean, he is just a superstar in his region.

  230. Everybody wants to be with him, and he's exhausted, and

  231. so you find one of his habits is to go

  232. up into the mountains to pray, or go out in

  233. the wilderness to pray. He spend time with the Father

  234. every day. Those things are are are a very common

  235. phrase about Jesus in the little you know, in the

  236. marginal statements in between stories that are being told. But

  237. you can tell at this point he's just exhausted, and

  238. so he's like, Hey, we need to get in a

  239. boat and go to the other side because we're never getting

  240. away from these crazy people. So they get in the boat.

  241. And the thing that always strikes me about it is

  242. they obeyed, all twelve disciples get in the boat. Probably

  243. some of the other followers get in the boat. And

  244. obedience doesn't always mean smooth sailing, right, Getting in the

  245. boat with Jesus doesn't mean everything all of a sudden

  246. is gonna be sunshine of roses and unicorns and skittles

  247. all the time. Right. But you're safest with Jesus in

  248. the boat. Right. So, even though you know, maybe he's silent,

  249. which he was in this moment, he was quiet, He's

  250. still present, and they knew exactly where to go when

  251. they needed when they realized there was anything they could do,

  252. they knew who they could go.

  253. To, Jesus when I was You know, some people, if

  254. they look at a map, excuse me, Monday, When they

  255. look at a map, they they often ask questions like,

  256. how in the world would expert fishermen be afraid of

  257. a squall or a storm of the or the waves

  258. in a tiny little lake. Right, because we talked about

  259. this before recently, but the Sea of Galilee was not

  260. even close to the size of even Lake Saint Clair

  261. in Michigan. Right, So, it's actually pretty you know, pretty small,

  262. and you'd say, like, well, how can how can there

  263. be waves that will scare those kinds of fishermen? And

  264. how how big can the waves actually get? Right? And

  265. you know where I'm going with this because so I I.

  266. The geological structure. Yeah, yeah, so it's designed for lakes

  267. or for storms.

  268. Yeah. So so the bottom line is is I when

  269. I was there, I asked them and they said, oh,

  270. they said, let me explain this to you. And it's

  271. basically in the summary, it almost seems like God himself

  272. designed the landscape so that the Sea of Galilee would

  273. have like it would be totally calm, and then it

  274. would just have squalls, like raging squalls in a moment's notice.

  275. So there's a scientific explanation for it, but it's based

  276. on the land and the wind and the heat and

  277. everything else. It's almost almost like it's designed that way.

  278. And I have to believe that God did that on purpose,

  279. because he knew that, you know, this was going to

  280. you know, be a pivotal point, you know, where God,

  281. you know, he chose to enter the world and perform

  282. miracles and such. But basically, here's the bottom line. The

  283. Sea of Galilee is about six hundred and eighty feet

  284. below sea level. Mount Herman, which is north of it,

  285. is nine thousand, two hundred feet above sea level. And

  286. then if you go south from the Sea of Galilee,

  287. fallowing that you know, the Jordan River all the way

  288. down to the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is fourteen

  289. hundred feet below sea level. So basically the hot air

  290. rises from the Dead Sea from the south, it goes

  291. up the Jordan River and then and then the cold

  292. air comes down from Mount Herman and there's about eleven

  293. thousand feet sort of a gap differential, and it meets

  294. right in the middle at Sea of Galilee. And then

  295. the Sea of Galilee. God designed it where there's mountain

  296. ranges all around.

  297. In a bowl.

  298. It sits in a bowl.

  299. You're literally driving flat land, flatland, flatland, and they say,

  300. you know, you just go down, down, down, down six

  301. hundred feet, Yes, six hundred and eighty feet down to

  302. the Sea of Galilee. And so yeah, it's in a bowl.

  303. And so what they told me is they told me

  304. that raging storms would go from calm to breaking out

  305. and they would be sometimes like fifty feet fifty foot waves. Yeah,

  306. and that's hard to believe in the Sea of Galiley,

  307. but they said that it actually was so strong it

  308. destroyed the previous restaurant. So the restaurant we were in

  309. that they were talking about, they said, back in the eighties,

  310. it took out the restaurant and they had to rebuild

  311. it and they actually build it on stilts and the

  312. further away.

  313. Yeah, isn't that crazy. They showed us watermarks from a

  314. storm on one of the hotels that were staying at

  315. in Tiberius that was up thirty something feet up and

  316. this is just lashing, you know, the waves, pounding, pounding, pounding, pounding, pounds. Yeah, yeah,

  317. it's crazy.

  318. Like I said, it's almost.

  319. Just not every day, but it does happen, and it's

  320. a surprise. Back then, they didn't have you know, the

  321. Yahoo weather app on their phones, right, well, they didn't

  322. have accu weather on their own.

  323. Yeah. Well I checked the dopper.

  324. Yeah exactly.

  325. Let's go to the other side, the dopper says.

  326. So it would happen suddenly, and then you know, you're

  327. in a sailboat or you're in a row boat. It's

  328. not like you're just zipping along. No, you can't outrun

  329. the storm, right, and so that's what would happen, is

  330. it was you know, it was a kind of a

  331. dangerous profession, being a fisherman. But then in this situation,

  332. you know, now they've got passengers, all these other people

  333. who aren't pros either. I think that that's part of

  334. the fear for these guys. So if there were four

  335. or five professional men, that's all they ever do on

  336. the on the boat. It doesn't say Peter's freaking out here.

  337. I don't say John's freaking out here. This could have

  338. been Bartholo, Me, Thomas, and Philip freaking out right, right,

  339. it doesn't have to be. There's twelve disciples, so the

  340. pros weren't. It doesn't say the names. It just says

  341. that the disciples were terrified. Yeah, yeah, but I think

  342. it's funny. So they were afraid. What's to say? Waves

  343. were breaking into the boat and began to fill with water.

  344. Jesus was sleeping, the disciples welcome up, shotting teacher, don't

  345. you care that we're going to drown? So they're clearly afraid.

  346. But then after Jesus calms the storm, the disciples were

  347. absolutely terrified.

  348. Yes, right right, they were more terrified.

  349. Who is this man?

  350. Right?

  351. Right? They've seen him do miracles prior to this, so

  352. but this one when he takes over the wind and

  353. the waves, Yeah, that's a whole other thing for them.

  354. So so this is this is a whole other sermon altogether.

  355. So I did a sermon one time, long time ago,

  356. in fact ad heritage. I did when when you asked

  357. me as a guest speaker.

  358. Oh, I wasn't paying I was remember Jesus sleeping in

  359. the back of it. Yeah, I was in the bag,

  360. sleeping on my pH It.

  361. Wasn't on this storm. But you asked me to speak

  362. in twenty thirteen here in this auditorium, and you asked

  363. me to speak on the law of the harvest. And

  364. it was supposed to be a financial thing whatever anyway.

  365. But one of the points that I made was fear

  366. replaces fear. Right, So in other words, like you need

  367. to replace your earthly fear with a fear of God. Right,

  368. And that's what happened here, right. And so in the

  369. boat they have a fear of the waves, and then

  370. all of a sudden, now they have no fear of

  371. the waves. Now they fear God. And the fear that replaced,

  372. the fear is even greater. But it's a healthy fear, right,

  373. So they're absolutely terrified in a good way, that's right. Right.

  374. So you know, in the Old Testament it always says

  375. fear God. You know, fear God and find life. But

  376. the fear of God is a healthy respect in the

  377. same way that you would fear your father, your earthly father,

  378. if he's a loving father. But you fear his discipline,

  379. fear his wrath. But at the same time you fear

  380. disobeying because you don't want to disappoint him. Sure, you

  381. fear all sorts of things.

  382. Oh, you slow down because you fear getting a ticket,

  383. right right. As a kid, you don't seal the tootsy

  384. roll out of the store because you're afraid of get

  385. in trouble for shoplifting. Right, There's this awareness that there

  386. are consequences to our behaviors, and God's in charge of

  387. the consequences.

  388. Right.

  389. So there's that and then the fear of the fact

  390. that He made it all. Anybody who's big enough to

  391. make the entire universe probably should get some healthy respect.

  392. Right right, Right, So the fear is, yeah, it's a

  393. mixture of respect and actual fear, but it's but it's

  394. a healthy, healthy dose of fear. So all that to say,

  395. when it says they're absolutely terrified, that's a good thing.

  396. Yeah, they're starting to be aware of Wow this next.

  397. They had underestimated Jesus who he was, and you know,

  398. they they, hey, Jesus, we really like it when you, like,

  399. you know, make lame people walk and you make death

  400. people here, that's kind of cool. I think they kind

  401. of prior to this moment, I think they kind of

  402. thought he was like this really great medicine man.

  403. Right, it could be right because healings people physically is

  404. different than nature.

  405. Right, yeah, right, And so I think that's kind of

  406. what they were thinking is he's some kind of a guru.

  407. He says really great things and we're confused about half

  408. the time. But man, I like listening to him talk

  409. compared to the other rabbis. And then on top of

  410. that him being a great rabbi, he also seems to

  411. be some kind of a medice man. He can make

  412. people better. But now all of a sudden, Jesus is like,

  413. you know, his nap gets interrupted and he's like just

  414. stop right right, And they're like what.

  415. Right, Yeah, wind wind. Nobody controls the wind, which means.

  416. They were not waking him up to help them with

  417. the storm. Yeah. I think that the issue here that

  418. Mark includes is the high waves were breaking into the

  419. boat and to begin to fill with water. Right, I

  420. think they decided we need everybody bailing. Why are you

  421. sleep You're not even helping.

  422. He's like, yeah, don't you care that we're down right?

  423. Peace, be still, lay back on, go back to sleep, right,

  424. And it's it's this I think there's I don't think

  425. there's an ounce of intensity in this moment for Jesus.

  426. I think it's groggy. This this is how I envisioned this.

  427. I think he's a little groggy. I think he's probably

  428. slightly irritated because of his next response. I think he's

  429. like stretching and going, all right, peace, be still. Storm,

  430. storm just goes away immediately. It's like glass on the water.

  431. They're standing like ankle deep water in the bottom of

  432. the boat. They were just trying to get him to help,

  433. you know, bail out the water. And he helped, and

  434. then he says, why are you afraid? Do you still

  435. have no faith?

  436. Right?

  437. Like, what else do I have to do to prove

  438. to you who I am, right, why are you afraid?

  439. And I love it that in Jesus mind, he said, hey,

  440. we're going to go to the other side. So it's done,

  441. it's already done. We're going. And they believe that the storm,

  442. what they could see, was bigger than what Jesus did

  443. promise had happened.

  444. Yeah, So when I was in Atlanta, I lived in

  445. Atlanta for ten years, and I went and heard Louis

  446. Giglio at a thing that he used to do called

  447. seven twenty two. And it was about two thousand college

  448. students in the room, and I was I was taking

  449. college students up there, and I remember a message that

  450. he gave and he said, so, if the promise is given,

  451. let's go to the other side. Because you know, some

  452. some versions say let's go to the other side. Some

  453. says we're going to the other side. But either way,

  454. there's a there's an intentionality of Jesus. Right, like you said,

  455. it's done, and it's thrown out there.

  456. It's so done. He lays down and goes to sleep

  457. and doesn't even feel the need right direct.

  458. Right, So so he said he goes. You know, Louis,

  459. I just never forget, he said, Louis, I would I

  460. would have loved in that moment for just one of them,

  461. one of them to say, hey, wait a minute, didn't

  462. Jesus promise that we're going to the other side. Didn't

  463. he say, we're going to the other side. And he goes, Okay, therefore,

  464. don't be afraid, you know, he don't. Don't worry. He was,

  465. but there was that there wasn't a voice, right, And

  466. he goes in the way that he played it out,

  467. and he goes, he goes, hey, let me just check.

  468. Didn't you hear that he said going to the other side.

  469. Didn't Didn't he say that, let me just check the

  470. other side, other side, other side? Didn't he say the

  471. other side? Okay, fine, I'm gonna sit here. I'm not

  472. gonna worry because we're going to the other side. And

  473. he goes, h but we're but he goes, but we're drowning.

  474. He goes, I don't care. Maybe Jesus knows the shortcut.

  475. We're gonna go down and then we're gonna pop up

  476. on the other side.

  477. That's how much.

  478. Faith I have, right, And so it's like it's like, yeah,

  479. so I just never forget that it's just so funny

  480. because there's not a voice. There's not a voice of

  481. reason here, right. You know, we just talked about the

  482. twelve Spies scouting the Promised Land last Sunday actually before

  483. this recording anyway, and uh, you know we always talked.

  484. We talked about the voice of like Joshua and Kayla

  485. the other ten Spies are like, oh no. And then

  486. and then you have this voice of reason, right, this

  487. voice of reason that says, don't be afraid, you trust God.

  488. And you know, you just love that voice of reason.

  489. You know, it's it's it's the same thing Jses. You know,

  490. they're they're up against the Red Sea right before he

  491. parts the Red Sea, and all the people are like,

  492. we're gonna die. And then Moses says, stand still and

  493. watch God's gonna and then and then and then the

  494. people go, no, we're gonna die.

  495. Right.

  496. It's like it's like it's like, no, there has to

  497. be a voice of reason. And so I just uh,

  498. I have to observe here that nobody uh stepped up

  499. and said, hey, wait a minute, Jesus is with us.

  500. He made a promise, He told us we're going to

  501. make it the other side, and so yeah, we have

  502. to keep that in mind. And then and then the

  503. last two questions, these are applicable questions for our lives too,

  504. aren't they. So why are you afraid? You still have

  505. no faith? So, so, what Jesus is implying is you've

  506. seen my past faithfulness, You've seen the things that I've done.

  507. You know who I am, you believe in who I am.

  508. I am with you, I'm on your side. So so

  509. you know the same thing is true for us, right,

  510. especially those who are Christians. Those of us are Christians.

  511. We've seen God work in our lives. We know God

  512. is with us, we know God is for us. And

  513. when we decide to fear our circumstances more than God's promises,

  514. we need to ask ourselves the same two questions. Number one,

  515. why are we still afraid? And where's our faith?

  516. Because He's the lord over everything we can't control.

  517. That's right, right, that's right, that's really good. All right, Well, hey,

  518. that is our time. What a great story, and hopefully

  519. we'll see you tomorrow. On the Bible, Gods
