  1. You're listening to The Bible Guys, a podcast where a

  2. couple of friends talk about the Bible in fun in

  3. practical ways. Hey, everybody, welcome to the Bible Guys.

  4. My name is Chris, and it's going to be an

  5. amazing episode today. Chris, it is because this is the

  6. first one of the week.

  7. You have to say your name.

  8. I'm Jeff. There you go say that we have this

  9. cool I'm je behind us. You've got a star over

  10. your head because you're a star.

  11. I am a star.

  12. I'm a star.

  13. Hey. By the way, this morning, just this morning, I

  14. got three texts. So it's nine am on a Wednesday.

  15. We're filming this.

  16. Three texts. I said, you're a star.

  17. No, I got three texts saying that apparently the Bible

  18. Guys episode that aired this morning. One was from Russia.

  19. I got a text from Russia of saying of somebody

  20. saying that.

  21. They appreciate their watching you.

  22. They said that, yes, but they said they appreciated me

  23. saying that Lazarus came out of the tune with jazz hands.

  24. Yeah, it was three texts this morning. Well, that's the

  25. deep stuff to everybody's Bible study of promotional material is

  26. jazz hands.

  27. You're welcome everybody.

  28. That's awesome.

  29. So it is going to be a great day. And

  30. the reason why we have stars over our heads is

  31. because the set behind us is set up for kids

  32. camp at Heritage Church. Yeah.

  33. Yeah, this kind of our big vacation Bible school during

  34. the during the summer, and we had like five hundred

  35. kids last night.

  36. Or some crazy things crazy.

  37. Yeah, So they're using this stage and then we just

  38. pop in in the middle of the day to shoot

  39. this podcast.

  40. We're borring it.

  41. This will be for the next couple weeks. I think

  42. it'll be up for our listeners.

  43. That's great.

  44. So well, hey, we have a segment that Desiree gave us,

  45. and this is one of our it's the only one

  46. that has a theme song. It does ready mail bag,

  47. and it's our listeners send in comments or questions or

  48. critiques and complaints mostly yes, disagreements with the crazy Bible guys,

  49. and Desiree kind of filters through those and puts one

  50. out for us and then we get to answer it.

  51. So this one today is from Amanda b Amanda, be

  52. Hi Amanda, and it says you both strike me as

  53. open books. Thanks Amanda, comic books. I think probably is, Yeah,

  54. what do you are?

  55. You a sophisticated novel and I'm a comic book?

  56. Is that what it is? You know? I say comic books?

  57. It was plural, So.

  58. I'm multiple books and like the Great gats mean or something. Okay,

  59. I get.

  60. It, Crime and Punishment, I get it. Here you go.

  61. You both strike me as open books. But is there

  62. something you wish people saw or understood about you that

  63. they really usually don't? Yeah, that's a Mannes's question. So,

  64. you know, it seems like we're fairly transparent. So which

  65. is the ruse we've been keeping up for quite some time?

  66. I do have something instinctively that Kim comes to mind. Okay,

  67. so you and I both are the same personality profile

  68. type in a lot of ways, right, Yes, in a

  69. lot of ways. We have the same spiritual gifts, same

  70. personality profile type, which is kind of funny.

  71. The fact that the world got two of us, just

  72. one of them is really it's what a blessing, What

  73. an age to be living in.

  74. You're welcome, You're welcome everybody. Yeah, it's pretty bad. So,

  75. but we are according to the Myers Briggs In case

  76. you're familiar, with that is we are e n tpis

  77. in which stands for extrovert intuitive thinker and then perceiver.

  78. That's correct, right, Yes, Now what is the percentage? Isn't

  79. isn't it a rare type?

  80. Yeah, it's like two to three percent of the population

  81. has that.

  82. Yeah, two to three percent.

  83. Think about that, like, wow, that's a lot, right, so

  84. or it's small.

  85. No, No, I meant. I meant like, that's a lot

  86. to take.

  87. It's a lot to take in.

  88. Yeah, a lot to take it. It is what I

  89. meant anyway. So the point is is that because of

  90. our personality profile type, somebody on the that might interact

  91. with me, maybe on a leadership level or you know,

  92. behind the scenes, or you know, maybe if we're working

  93. on projects together. Uh, we don't necessarily come across as

  94. the most emotional people. But yet I feel every emotion, right, So,

  95. like even in my interactions, uh, you know, like I'll

  96. respond to something and and and and they may say, well, wow,

  97. you're not as sensitive and you don't think about these emotions.

  98. Whatever.

  99. The e NTP personality profile, the high thinker can come

  100. across that way. But I actually believe or not, I

  101. wish people knew that you know and you know this

  102. about me, like I have a ton of.

  103. Emotion, yes, yes, right, you know that. Yeah yeah, yeah,

  104. Well you're you're you're an emotional person.

  105. Yes.

  106. I think the e NTP part of it for you

  107. because your your emotions are out there. Everybody knows. You're

  108. quick to cry, you're quick to laugh. Yeah, you live

  109. your entire life in hyperbole. It's all big or little.

  110. It's it's the best or the worst. Right, So, so

  111. the emotion side is there the differ diferences for an EMTP.

  112. We're not shy about being very direct because of the

  113. efficiency of it, because we're not offended when people are

  114. direct with us, right, My fact we prefer people to

  115. be direct with us. That's right, is my fact. That

  116. was going to be my thing is I think I

  117. think I would prefer people to be direct with me

  118. and it's not offensive as long as you're coming in

  119. with a good attitude. I prefer people to be direct,

  120. and I think sometimes people misunderstand our directness. So I

  121. think you are much more emotional and that's that has

  122. to do with all the other things. It's not like

  123. you stuffed down your emotions like I do. Instead, I

  124. think it's just that you you also are willing to

  125. be direct because you want to make it better. So

  126. you're like, hey, this is awful, let's fix it. And

  127. you don't mean you're an awful person. You're saying, this

  128. product is awful, let's make this product better, right, And

  129. you're not shy about being direct on that, And I

  130. think that that feels like you're heartless and you're not.

  131. You've got like the biggest heart in the world.

  132. Chris, I appreciate that, man, Thank you.

  133. Yeah, that was hyperbole.

  134. I was I was just gonna say, I was just

  135. gonna say that's a little overstatement.

  136. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I was gonna say. The other thing

  137. is I wish I wish people understood about me that

  138. sometimes I talk fast and and quote a lot of scripture,

  139. so it sounds like I know what I'm doing, But

  140. really I just want somebody to bring me tacos. Hey.

  141. We did have people show up and heard in church

  142. and bring you uh for what is it called?

  143. And then uh yeah, yeah that was right. This week.

  144. They were sitting on my on my table in my

  145. office when I came in, so it was great. Somebody

  146. brought me one yesterday too, it was super nice. So

  147. keeping coming people.

  148. Let's keep going.

  149. I meant to say thank you. I meant to say

  150. thank you.

  151. Right right, right, but I'm talking to the list now.

  152. Somehow you've managed this living in tacos.

  153. Yeah, that's right, So the bring me tacos. That's so.

  154. The other thing I wish people would know is I

  155. have a high level of satisfaction with setting goals and

  156. accomplishing goals. And because then you know this, I measure everything.

  157. I measure everything, yes, so I know exactly what the

  158. trend has been, and then I just try to move

  159. the needle a couple percentage points on a trend. I'm

  160. satisfied when we hit that trend. We keep moving on.

  161. Just move along, move along, movement. And so what happens

  162. I forget to celebrate, and I forget to go tell

  163. people how amazing they are and thank you and that

  164. you've made this happen and you know, all those things

  165. that I forget to celebrate, and so I kind of

  166. leave people in the dust, sometimes unintentionally.

  167. And to be fair, most unfortunately, most leaders forget to celebrate. Yeah, yeah,

  168. most strong leaders forget to celebrate.

  169. Yeah. And in the church world, the kind of work

  170. we do. Sunday comes every seven days. I don't know

  171. if our listeners have ever contemplated that, right, but Sunday

  172. comes every seven days. So it's just bang bang bang

  173. bang bang. You know, if this was a Broadway show

  174. that we were doing, we would do the exact same

  175. thing with the same line. It's in the same moves,

  176. the same lighting, and the same songs for weeks and

  177. weeks and months and months and months. And instead every

  178. message is brand new the next weekend. Every song that

  179. is done wasn't done last week, right, all the stuff

  180. that we do, and so there's a lot of chaos

  181. in trying to make every weekend happen in a meaningful

  182. way for thousands and thousands of people.

  183. And not to mention creative ideas incepting from scratch.

  184. And of course we rely on the Holy Spirit to

  185. guide us with regard to our messages, and we invite

  186. him into the planning and all those things. But as

  187. we're racing along, sometimes it can feel like we forget.

  188. And so that's the thing I wish people knew how much,

  189. how incredibly grateful I am for the fact that they've

  190. joined us on this mission and they're making it happen together.

  191. It's really great. But I forget. I forget to say

  192. thank you a.

  193. Lot great answers.

  194. Oh, that's wonderful. And I just want tacos.

  195. And yeah, and somehow I always want to talk to

  196. he doesn't want.

  197. To talk exactly that deep down inside. Yeah, if you

  198. want to know that secret thing deep done inside. We

  199. just want tacos.

  200. So we're read at our time. Actually we're about a

  201. minute past our time. But what's your favorite taco place

  202. in the area?

  203. My tacos. I love those pork tacos I make with

  204. the Oh.

  205. Oh, but if somebody were to bring you tacos, what's

  206. your favorite?

  207. Oh, I don't know. I don't I don't even have

  208. a favorite taco place here.

  209. You just like all tacos. Yeah, okay, all right, all right,

  210. just just asking so for the sake of our listeners.

  211. Yes, well, hey, uh boy, I don't even know what

  212. transition for this.

  213. One, speaking of.

  214. Going out and finding tacos.

  215. Finding tacos, Jesus commands us to go out and find disciples.

  216. Oh yeah, that is terrible. Yeah, yeah, it's a terrible transition. Well,

  217. that does come up here in Matthew chapter twenty eight.

  218. It does one of the this is like the last

  219. thing Jesus is saying. These are the last orders he

  220. gives us before he goes back, known as.

  221. The Great Commission. And wouldn't you think that somebody's last

  222. words would be important?

  223. I would imagine. Yeah. Well, in the military, they have

  224. the principle of the last standing orders. So whatever the

  225. last order you got, you're supposed to keep doing that

  226. until you get a new order.

  227. I know you're going to complete this, but complete this

  228. the rest of this quote.

  229. Okay.

  230. My father's final words were.

  231. Oh, yeah, yeah, Yeah, there's Princess Bride. Yeah, ye, Prince humperdink.

  232. I don't know. I can't remember. Love her, yes, as

  233. I have loved her, and and there will be peace

  234. in the land. No joy, joy, love.

  235. As I've loved her, and there will be joy.

  236. Okay. So here we are in Matthew chapter twenty eight. Yep,

  237. and we're going to start in verse sixteen. Just read

  238. to the end of the chapter. It says, then the

  239. eleven disciples left for Galilee. Do you remember Jesus had

  240. died and risen I do remember that Judas is out

  241. of the picture. Now he killed himself, and so now

  242. there's only eleven disciples, yep. And so then the eleven

  243. disciples left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus

  244. had told them to go. When they saw him, they

  245. worshiped him, but some of them doubted. Jesus came and

  246. told his disciples, I have been given all authority in

  247. heaven and on earth. Therefore go and make disciples of

  248. all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father

  249. and the Son and the Holy Spirit. And teach these

  250. new disciples to obey all the commands I've given you.

  251. And be sure of this. I am with you always,

  252. even to the end of the age.

  253. Yeah, so very quick, A very quick what five verses?

  254. But I have to say this the thing that always

  255. sticks out when I read this, and it's only recorded

  256. here in Matthew obviously, but it says the eleven disciples.

  257. Now we all know that every follower of Jesus is

  258. referred to as a disciple.

  259. That's correct.

  260. And the twelve that were chosen have the title of apostle.

  261. So not all disciples are apostles, but all apostles are

  262. also disciples. That's correct, because disciples are just simple followers

  263. of him. So sometimes in the Bible, when they say

  264. his disciples followed him, they can refer to the crowds

  265. of followers. But in this case, this is my point.

  266. In this case, he's referring to the eleven. Yes, right, yes,

  267. So he says, the eleven disciples for Galilee went to

  268. the mountainside where Jesus had told him to go. When

  269. they saw him, they worshiped him, but some of them doubted.

  270. So clearly he's not talking about the crowd of disciples.

  271. He is saying that some of the eleven doubted. And

  272. that always floors me because this is, you know, some

  273. of Jesus's last words, which means he's on the back

  274. end of his forty days here, right, So Jesus is

  275. on the back end. He's already risen. He's already appeared

  276. to the disciples. He's already told Thomas, come and touch

  277. my you know, hands and my side. He's already appeared

  278. with people, walked with people, you know, he made fish,

  279. you know, breakfast for them. He's given forgiveness to Peter,

  280. he's taught I mean, goodness, gracious, how can the eleven

  281. still doubt?

  282. Well? Do you think it says some Do you think

  283. that this because Matthew does not tell the story of

  284. doubting Thomas.

  285. Oh wow, I never had that thought before.

  286. Right, So he doesn't tell the story of Thomas.

  287. So you think Matthew is just summarizing.

  288. And a bunch of other stuff happened by the way

  289. Thomas doubted. And then he moves on because he leaves

  290. out every kind of stuff there. Wow, because it literally

  291. goes from the religious leaders are bribing the guards. Yeah,

  292. then there's forty days, yeah, and then Jesus is going

  293. back to heaven.

  294. Right, yeah, they go They go literally straight from bribing

  295. the guards to Jesus' last word.

  296. Yeah. Because Matthew's purpose was different than the others, right,

  297. So Matthew's just trying to establish that Jesus Matthew wrote

  298. to the Jews explaining that Jesus was the Messiah. That's right,

  299. And so the other things he leaves out different things

  300. that don't drive rate at that exact idea. So the

  301. death barrel resurrection happened. Now he goes back to having

  302. gives us ob mission. The other things aren't really part

  303. of his narrative.

  304. And Luke wrote primarily to the gentiles.

  305. To the gentiles.

  306. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, So imagine that. Imagine these writers

  307. who recording the Gospels, and one of them is directed

  308. specifically at you know, good Jewish boys and ladies who

  309. grew up and completely know the Jewish customs, you know,

  310. believers of the Old Testament, the Old Testament God, the

  311. Law of Moses. They knew like the back of their hand.

  312. And and Matthew is connecting the dots right and then

  313. and then people like gentiles, which is everybody who's non Jewish,

  314. they grew up not knowing necessarily the Law of Moses,

  315. not practicing hardly anything. So a lot of the stuff

  316. you'll see in Matthew you don't see in Luke. But

  317. Luke was a doctor, right, Yes, So Luke was very precise,

  318. he was very technical, and he's the guy who like

  319. unpacks empirical evidence. He's the guy who has like full explanations,

  320. and he's the one that's trying to convince the non believer,

  321. in the non Jewish person that Jesus is the Messiah.

  322. And Matthew Levi was a tax collector, yes, and so

  323. he has kind of a it's almost like a checklist

  324. when you read his thing, he goes and then he

  325. did this, and then he did this, and then he

  326. did this, and then he did this. Right, that's what

  327. he's doing. He's kind of checking off the Jewish checklist

  328. of this is why he's a Messiah, and this is

  329. why he's Messiah, and this is why he's Messiah. Right.

  330. So they both have a lot of precision in the

  331. way that they write. It's just the pacing of Matthews

  332. isn't always in the storytelling of it as much as

  333. it is the factual evidence that this guy is the Messiah.

  334. So I think that this is just referencing Thomas. This

  335. is what I think it is. Because it also doesn't

  336. mention the fact that Jesus came to Peter when Peter

  337. was fishing in Jesus fixing breakfast on the side of

  338. the thing. It doesn't mentioned the disciples on the road

  339. to Mas that Jesus came and taught, right, there's all

  340. those other things. There's a lot of things missing in

  341. that in the gap between verse was it fifteen and

  342. verse sixteen.

  343. So so there's there's there's one that answer that explanation,

  344. which I've not heard before either came from one of

  345. four places. Either A you've heard that before in a sermon.

  346. No, I just thought of it. B.

  347. Well, you didn't even let me say all four.

  348. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I was gonna say b's.

  349. Gonna say B B you just thought of it. Yes,

  350. uh C you studied it in the past and discovered

  351. it yourself.

  352. No, I've never contemplated it.

  353. Or D I was going to say there was a

  354. note in your life up.

  355. No, Nope, there's It's just I'd never really thought about

  356. it before. But wow, Actually, here's how it works. You

  357. say a thing and I immediately try to figure out

  358. why it's wrong in everything and everything and every dingy yeah, yeah, everything.

  359. You come in this morning, Hey, good morning. I'm like,

  360. it wasn't that good of a morning.

  361. Wow. Listen, you just said a minute ago you ranb

  362. off scripture and you speak quickly, so people think you

  363. know what you're doing right, But in the end, you

  364. just want tacos.

  365. Just a simple guy.

  366. Guy. That's so funny, Dude, that's funny.

  367. So okay, that's ridiculous. Anyways, I think it's You're right.

  368. It is amazing because it's the sentence by itself says

  369. when they saw him, they worshiped him, but some of

  370. them doubted, right, And that sentence is crazy. But what

  371. we feel like is they're going to the mountain where

  372. Jesus had told them to go, and we feel like

  373. this doubt happens right before he speaks at the mountain,

  374. right right, And I just I'm not sure I believe

  375. that that's what's happening there.

  376. Well, yeah, because I mean think about it. I mean

  377. just I mean, you already said it already, but think

  378. about the plethora of him information that is not even

  379. talked about. It is it is being summarized in a

  380. couple sentences.

  381. And so this is why studying the Bible so much fun,

  382. because the Bible explains itself. It's its own best commentary.

  383. So when you read all four narratives Matthew, Mark, Luke,

  384. and John, and then you read the first couple chapters

  385. of Acts, you kind of know you understand how all

  386. these things are working. And they cross reference each other

  387. and explain each other a little bit. So anyways, the

  388. big point here is that Jesus says, I've been given

  389. all authority in heaven and on earth. Why because of

  390. his death, buryl and resurrection, right, he paid the price.

  391. God says, Okay, you are the name above every name.

  392. Later on we find out at the name of Jesus,

  393. every knee is going to about and heaven and on

  394. earth under the earth.

  395. Right, you know what that reminds me of? By the way, sorry,

  396. I had the instrument of this thought. You ever see

  397. Brian Reagan, my favorite comedian. Yes, he actually says, the

  398. most lazy writing in the world is the phrase and

  399. then one thing led to another.

  400. That's a great one, yeah, he says, he says, He

  401. says in nineteen or he goes at the late eighteen hundreds,

  402. there was a little boy born named Adolf Hitler, and

  403. he goes, and one thing led to another dot dot dot,

  404. and then the United States dropped it at.

  405. And Bob on Japan.

  406. Yeah. One thing led to another, right, Yeah, one thing

  407. led to another. And there's so much in the middle

  408. of that.

  409. Well, that's what Matthew's doing, right.

  410. This is one of the things that's part of the

  411. beauty of why God gave four gospels. Yeah, that's right, right,

  412. is that each of them is appealing to a different

  413. thinker in a different worldview. When you collectively put them together,

  414. they tell many of the same stories, many the same events.

  415. Then they all tell different events that the others don't

  416. really cover very much, and then they give it from

  417. different eyewitness accounts. You know, if you and I were

  418. standing on the sidewalking we both saw a car accident,

  419. we would see it in a different way. We would

  420. remember different facts. And so when the police come and

  421. they're doing an investigation, they want you and me to

  422. give the facts the way we saw them. But what

  423. they're looking for is the differences in our facts so

  424. they can piece the whole story together. Right, if we

  425. came and gave the exact same storyline, it would sound

  426. like we rehearsed it, like we planned it right, like

  427. we colluded together. But when you get when you get

  428. these different writers and they're writing it from different perspectives,

  429. you begin to realize, Okay, they're not colluding. They saw

  430. the same thing, they experienced the same thing. So Jesus says,

  431. I've been given all authority in heaven on earth, And

  432. he says, because of that, therefore, anytime you read the

  433. word therefore. I used to have a professor say, any

  434. time you read the word therefore, you should pause and

  435. try to figure out what that's there for. That's right,

  436. because something big happened right before. That's right, right. So

  437. we all quote pat pastors love quoting the next verse,

  438. But the reality is the power of the next verse

  439. is in the verse before. I've been given all authority.

  440. So since I'm in charge and I've been given all

  441. authority because of that, now I want you to go

  442. and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them, tone the

  443. Father's son in the Holy Spirit, and teach these new

  444. believers to obey all the commands they've given you. And

  445. so he's given us a mission. The last thing Jesus said,

  446. you would think Jesus on his way to heaven, you

  447. think he'd say, hey, guys, it's going to be okay.

  448. I'm gonna come back and get you someday. Hang in there, guys,

  449. you yeah, hang in there, guys. Right, you can do

  450. all things through me, right right, that's what you think

  451. he'd say. That's that's what we're wanting him to say.

  452. We certainly don't want him give us a job, right right.

  453. We want him to tell us all our wild this

  454. dreams are going to come true now that he's going

  455. to heaven. And he said he says, I've got a

  456. job for you. Go make disciples. You want to know

  457. what I have? People ask me all the time, Jeff,

  458. I'm just not sure what I'm supposed to I've been

  459. a Christian for all these years. I still don't feel

  460. like God's really spoken to me. I don't know what

  461. I'm supposed to do with my life. And I'm like

  462. I do if he hasn't spoken anything else, go make disciples.

  463. That's what you're supposed to do. Yeah, yeah, And it's not.

  464. Just making disciples, it's making disciple makers. Yes, that's right, right,

  465. because we have disciples who make disciples. And so here

  466. we are on the back end of it, two thousand

  467. years later, where you know, if if they would have

  468. just stopped right just by making disciples and then saying, Okay,

  469. we've done our job, We've committed the assignment, right, But

  470. that's not what happened. The gospel continued to, you know,

  471. spread from the Middle East all the way to where

  472. we are here in Michigan through generations of people, and

  473. since then, billions of people have crossed over and they've

  474. become a disciple, and many of them have made disciples, right,

  475. And so yeah, that's what God wants us to do.

  476. He wants disciples making disciples who make disciples. So we

  477. are disciple makers, that's what we are.

  478. And so you have to understand that at this point,

  479. we know this. If you turn the pages a couple

  480. of pages, go to Acts chapter one, there were one

  481. hundred and twenty people in the Upper Room praying, waiting

  482. for the Holy Spirit. So it's about one hundred and

  483. twenty disciples, right. The twelve apparently made ten apiece, right, Yeah, somehow,

  484. So there's one hundred and twenty disciples. They're in the

  485. Upper Room, they're praying from there. Every other disciple that's

  486. ever followed Jesus ever since, every one of our listeners

  487. that claims to be a follower of Jesus, that's a Christian.

  488. All of us come from those one hundred and twenty

  489. that were in the Upper Room on that day. And

  490. so God's goal, Jesus' goal in this moment was everybody

  491. who's not yet needs to be right. Heaven's real, Hell

  492. is real. This is He's going back into eternity in

  493. this moment, and He's like, man, I wanted to bring

  494. everybody I can with me, so I need you guys

  495. to go. You have a mission. While you're here on earth.

  496. You have a mission. And I mentioned this before, it's

  497. kind of funny. We tend to think Christianity's about us,

  498. Salvation's about us, God's blessings are all about us, and

  499. it's just kind of almost maybe it's a hint at

  500. the narcissistic world we live in that it's all focused

  501. on us. But think about that for a minute, that

  502. the Gospel has been moving from disciple to disciple to

  503. disciple for two thousand years, and for two thousand years,

  504. it's been traveling from person to person at great peril

  505. and great risk for many of them, people being put

  506. in prison, people being executed, martyred because of the gospel.

  507. And yet they just kept doing it. They kept taking

  508. the gospel. So then what happens? It gets to you

  509. and God goes it finally made it to Jeff, there

  510. we did it. That's done.

  511. Yeah, right right?

  512. Instead of understanding the gospel came to me and you

  513. on the way to someone else, right right, It can't

  514. possibly in this incredible two thousand year thread of God

  515. working miracles, Surely his intent was not for the thread

  516. that got to me to end with me. It's supposed

  517. to go on to our family, our friends, and this

  518. is what Jesus is saying. So I think a lot

  519. of times people have an understanding that they're supposed to

  520. be sharing the gospel, they just haven't developed the skill set.

  521. I think that that's really really important. You've got to

  522. begin knowing God's word and learning how to share the

  523. gospel so that people can respond.

  524. Yeah, and you don't have to be a scholar to

  525. do that. No, all you have to do is just

  526. know your story. Yeah, you can just say, hey, there's

  527. three parts of every great conversion story, which is, hey,

  528. here's all I know. I know that this is where

  529. I was before I met Jesus, and then here's how

  530. I met Jesus, and now my life is better because

  531. of Jesus. Right, And that holds true whether your life

  532. was tragic or whether your life was going fantastic, but

  533. yet there was an emptiness inside.

  534. And I always encourage people in that middle part, here's

  535. how I met Jesus. A lot of people say I

  536. went to church and got baptized, and now I'm a Christian,

  537. as opposed to you discovered that you were a sinner

  538. that needed a savior. Right that that part is what

  539. your friend needs to hear is that we're all sinners

  540. and we all need to be saved, we all need

  541. to be rescued by Jesus, right, And then scripture is

  542. super important in that as well. But yeah, that's it,

  543. learning how to tell your story in God's story.

  544. That's great. Well, hey, that is a great discussion on

  545. the Great Commission. So hopefully we will see you tomorrow

  546. on the Bible.

  547. Guys,
