Man.
-
God bless you. All of you are looking great. We're
-
going to the book of first Corinthians very familiar scripture.
-
Amen.
-
That we can relate to. I wanna constantly push the
-
church to remember who we are.
-
Amen.
-
I wanna push our church to remember who we are,
-
to know who we are, and then to remember who
-
we are, and then to fulfill who we are. But
-
we are evangelistic entrepreneurs.
-
Hallelujah.
-
We share the gospel of our lord and savior Jesus
-
Christ and entrepreneurially.
-
Amen. We Come up with great ideas. Amen. Because he
-
who wins souls is wise. Hallelujah. Amen. He who wins
-
souls is wise. Hallelujah.
-
So we thank God for you on today. We appreciate
-
you and your presence on today.
-
Amen.
-
We want to continue to again to let us know
-
who we are and what we do. We thank God
-
for our leadership team, all of our ministers on today.
-
Thank you so much.
-
For being here. Amen. Again, 1 Corinthians chapter number 9. Okay.
-
And we'll begin verse number 24. Very familiar scripture. If
-
you will, when you have it, say amen. Y'all don't
-
sound good to me.
-
Oh, hallelujah. Now y'all around me, so y'all need to
-
be loud and boisterous. Hallelujah. No, whatever that is. Amen.
-
So again, the Bible says, 1 Corinthians 9 and 24.
-
The Bible says, know ye not. The day which run
-
in a race. He's talking about racing, amen? He said,
-
realize that all is running. He said, but only one
-
receive the prize. In other words, if we in the race,
-
all of us are in the race, all of us
-
are running. I say all of us are running.
-
I don't care. I don't care, Taniqua.
-
If all of us is running, we running. And while
-
we're running, I'm going to do my best to outrun you.
-
If it's not you, to outrun myself. But when we run,
-
we run this race.
-
Amen. But only one, somebody shout one, receive the prize.
-
And that we know.
-
That then, and so since you have been conditioning yourself
-
to run this race and training to run this race,
-
when you get in the race, you also run that
-
ye may win.
-
I wish I had somebody. If you're going to run, run.
-
Come on. And then he says, and every man that
-
strives for.
-
Mastery is temperate or have self-control in all things. Now
-
they that do it, do it, watch this, to obtain
-
or win a corruptible crown.
-
Not us though.
-
Because a corruptible crown fades away. But for us, when
-
we run this race of the gospel, we run it
-
for an eternal crown that lasts forever. And then the
-
writer says, I therefore so run. Not as uncertainly. In
-
other words, he said, I'm not running to think I'm
-
going to come in second place.
-
He said, I'm assured that when I run, as I run,
-
that I'm going... You got an attitude like that? If
-
you're going to do it, you're going to do it.
-
I wish I had. Amen? Uh-huh. Uncertainty. So fight.
-
I'm not as one that beat it at the air.
-
So if you're going to fight, don't shadow box.
-
Hit something. You with me?
-
And then he said, but I keep under my body
-
and bring it under subjection, lest that by any means,
-
when I have preached... To others, I myself shall be disqualified.
-
Or cast away. From those scriptures, I'd like to speak
-
to you today on the message.
-
The Lord finally, I finally remembered what he wanted me
-
to talk about. And today, I want to talk about
-
make it count. Tell your neighbor, make it count. Just
-
don't beat at the air and shadow box. Just don't
-
run just to be running. But if you're going to run,
-
make it count. If you're going to fight, make it count.
-
Tell your neighbor, say, neighbor, make it count.
-
Make it count.
-
Father, we thank you now for your loving kindness, your
-
tender mercies. We thank you, God, for what you would
-
speak to our hearts on today. Help us, God, as
-
we encourage, inspire, and empower the people of God to
-
draw closer to you, God. Give us more strength, more might,
-
more power And so, God, we thank you for it now.
-
In Jesus' name we pray, amen. Would you high-five at
-
least seven people and tell them, make it count.
-
Come on, do it real hard like you're in a
-
football game, like the captain.
-
Y'all don't sound loud at all. Make it count. Come on.
-
I thought I had some preachers. All these preachers I
-
got up in here, y'all ain't saying nothing?
-
Come on, make it count. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. we love you
-
make it count man it's interesting to understand.
-
That when I thought about this message I thought about
-
that if we're going to make it count this one
-
count or something count then it's important for us to
-
understand that if it's going to count, we can't do
-
stuff half-heartedly. The second thing I thought about that if
-
we're going to make it count, not only are we
-
going to not do it half-heartedly, but we can't do
-
what we're going to do heartless. In other words, if
-
we're going to do it, we're going to have to
-
put our mind to it in order to do it.
-
In order to win, we got to do it from
-
our heart. It's important that we just don't physically win
-
fights or win races, but we also psychologically win fights
-
and races. So it's important that we think about this
-
is that we have to psychologically understand that I.
-
Have to have my mind invested in.
-
What I'm doing. Not only that, I ought to have
-
my emotions intact.
-
Come on.
-
If I'm going to win, I just, you know, some folks,
-
you're just too emotionally imbalanced.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Mentally imbalanced. If I'm going to win, I got to
-
be physically fit. And not only that, sometimes we can't
-
do it because we don't have finances. But if we're
-
going to make it count, if we're going to sing,
-
sing to make it count. I wish I had a
-
neighbor here If you're going to dance, dance to make
-
it count. If you're going to speak, come on somebody.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Speak to make it count. If you're going to sow seed,
-
sow a seed to make it count. Just don't do
-
stuff just to be doing stuff. Don't come to church
-
just to be coming to church. You know, don't show up.
-
If you ain't going to show up, if I'm going
-
to be in the classroom and I'm in the classroom
-
and I tell most of my students, if you go
-
into the class, you're going to be since you in
-
the class, be the best that you can possibly be.
-
And if you don't compete with anybody else with yourself,
-
I wish I had somebody here. If you made a C.
-
Last time, the next time you got to challenge yourself,
-
I ain't going to make a C. I'm going to
-
make a B this time. And if you increase and improve,
-
come on, if you become productive from a B, you
-
ought to get to an A.
-
You ought to compete against yourself that when I'm involved
-
in whatever I'm involved in, because I'm on the team.
-
I'm going to make a difference.
-
I wasn't the best in basketball, but I had this
-
little fade. And so when I had the little fade
-
and somebody looked taller than me, you know, I would
-
hit it like....
-
And so people get mad on the other team, talking about.
-
Why you letting that little dude do that? Come on, somebody, hallelujah.
-
I wasn't the best, but since I was on the team,
-
I was going to make a difference. Because I was
-
on the team, because, glory to God, I feel the
-
Holy Ghost. Listen, because I was on the team. I'm
-
a child of God. I've been conditioned and training for this.
-
Since I'm on the team, I'm going to make it count.
-
Come on now. I ran in the real world.
-
When they gave it to me, I know it don't
-
look like it now. Don't worry about it. Don't laugh
-
at that. But when I got that baton, I made
-
it count. I wasn't mediocre. In doing what I was
-
supposed to do.
-
Mediocre kills potential. I wish I had somebody. Hallelujah.
-
Because you only do what's called of you to do
-
and not above or beyond what you do. That's why
-
you're still where you are today. Because you ain't put
-
no more in it than what you can put in it.
-
And you have help. your potential. Oh, I wish I
-
had a neighbor right there. If you're gonna preach, man,
-
make it count. You think I'm gonna get up here
-
on Sunday morning just doing something? I don't care if
-
you hear me or not.
-
Like it or not.
-
But while I'm up here with this mic in my hand.
-
I want to make it count. I want to help somebody.
-
I want to see somebody encouraged. I want to see
-
somebody inspired. I want to see somebody empowered. I want
-
to see, I don't know about you, I want to
-
see somebody go to the next level.
-
I want to see.
-
How a message have transformed your life, transitioned you to
-
the next level.
-
If you're going to do it, make it. Somebody shout
-
make it. Make it count.
-
If you're going to lead, make it count. Whatever you do,
-
Do things. And if you don't attach what you do
-
to a purpose, that's why you just do things.
-
You got to answer the why. Why are you doing it?
-
You got to have a reason.
-
You got to have an end statement of why you
-
do what you do. You need to know the purpose
-
because if you don't have no purpose, can I talk
-
to you today? If you ain't got no purpose, that's
-
why you ain't got no passion. And if you ain't
-
got no passion, you ain't got no tribe. You ain't
-
got no fuel to get you past the point you
-
are right now because you don't have no purpose. And
-
without purpose, my brother, you don't have no passion. That's
-
why you have heart and do what you do. Just
-
do enough to get by. Some of you, we making
-
money just to get by. Living week to week, paycheck
-
to paycheck. I wish I had somebody.
-
Hallelujah. Glory to God. We ain't putting in.
-
No extra work or extra duty in order to get
-
past what we are.
-
And that's why we still what we are. Yeah.
-
Purpose pushes your passion. The passion is what's now. Because see,
-
if you ain't got no passion, you sure ain't going
-
to put no plan.
-
Hallelujah. You ain't got no passion. I know you ain't
-
got no workout plans. You ain't got no plan. Come on, somebody.
-
I know you ain't got no financial plan.
-
Hallelujah.
-
You just talking. Hallelujah. You just talking.
-
See, words don't become reality until you write it down
-
and put it on paper, rather than be on a
-
physical paper or the paper of your heart.
-
I wish I had a neighbor here. Somebody shout glory.
-
And if you put that plan together, if you put
-
that plan together, God said, I'll give you provision, and
-
not only provision, but I'll help you persevere when you're drunk.
-
Tell your neighbor, say neighbor. Neighbor. Make it count.
-
Make it count.
-
Tell her, make it count. Make it count.
-
When we look at this text on today, we see
-
now that we're dealing in the church at Corinth. And
-
we remember this church was one of the most prominent
-
areas in which Paul had visited.
-
Somebody say the church at Corinth.
-
We remember that the church of Corinth, besides That struggle
-
because they had many struggles. Just like many of us
-
have many struggles.
-
Can I get a witness? Yet they had that struggle.
-
They struggled as a church with division. In other words,
-
there was division among the saints.
-
And he said, y'all all have the same judgment.
-
This particular church not only had struggles with division, but
-
they also had struggle with lawsuits. In other words, they
-
were taking each other to court. Each other to court
-
as if they couldn't judge among themselves to get it right.
-
Nobody wanted to lose to win. They took on the
-
Gentile thought process because they thought winning was winning, but
-
if you lose in the kingdom of God, you actually win.
-
Amen.
-
When you die, you actually live. I wish I had somebody.
-
Hallelujah. If you humble yourself and go down, God will
-
raise you up. Uh-huh. Yeah.
-
With the court and not only that, in this particular church,
-
like a generation we're living in right now, sexual immorality. Say,
-
y'all have done things, not even the Gentiles. Now, you
-
know the Gentiles did things. I wish I could spell
-
it out. I won't spell it all out, but they
-
did everything. But this man took another man's wife.
-
Come on, somebody. Hallelujah. He said, you ought to have
-
cast him over to Satan, his flesh.
-
Amen.
-
That he might be saved. Come on, somebody.
-
This church has some struggles. Tell your neighbor, say, neighbor,
-
I got some struggles too. I don't want you to
-
confess it right now.
-
Wait later. Okay. All right. I'll see the priest. Hallelujah.
-
But go ahead and admit, I got some struggles too.
-
I got some struggles in making it count from time
-
to time. I got some paths. I got a path
-
behind me that caused me to have frustrations, that caused
-
me not to make it really count. I just start
-
doing stuff, but I'm not really doing it with everything
-
that I got because I'm still dealing with my struggles.
-
As long as you're dealing with your struggles, you will
-
never get to the place of success. You got to
-
overcome your struggles.
-
In order to get. Somebody ought to shout glory right there.
-
I need to talk to some real people who have
-
overcome some struggles in one.
-
Area of your life.
-
Maybe not all of them, but you done overcome some
-
struggles in one part of your life.
-
Whether it be drugs or alcohol, fornication, whatever the case
-
may be.
-
You give God praise because God brought you out.
-
I wish I had.
-
Hey, God, y'all act like you ain't got no struggle,
-
had no struggles in your past. Still dealing with struggles,
-
but thank God, hallelujah, that God helped.
-
Me in my struggles. They also had problems and struggles
-
with confusion.
-
Even with their spiritual gifts to abuse gifts and underused
-
gifts in the church. Had problems with adultery and fornication.
-
But on the other hand, although they had struggles, can
-
I talk about Corinthians? Corinth was a boom town. In
-
other words, it was a place, a melting pot that
-
people came into. It was populated by freedom or free
-
men who were former slaves. It was also populated with
-
merchants and veterans and fortune seekers from all over the world,
-
all over the empire. Not only was it that, but
-
it was also popular as a tourist destination. temples and
-
temples such as Apollo and shrines and Aphrodite. It was
-
also a famous for his wealth and culture. So, in
-
other words, there was some good things about Corinth.
-
Come on, somebody.
-
Lastly, was known for his games. In other words, games
-
was held every two years. It was similar to the Olympics.
-
You know, the Olympics, we have it once every four years.
-
But with the Isthmian Games, these games was held every
-
two years and every four years of the year.
-
Amen?
-
So they held it every two years and every four years.
-
And like any other competitive sport, you got to understand
-
that athletes have to condition through training and exercise in
-
order to compete in the games. So in these games
-
that they did in Greek or in Corinth, Needed for
-
a perishable crown.
-
Tell your neighbors it's a perishable crown.
-
We assume that we understand desires, but we.
-
Don't fight for a perishable crown.
-
In other words, we fight and we run for an
-
imperishable crown that lasts forever. So Paul in his teaching
-
frequently used metaphors to encourage the church to condition themselves.
-
Tell your neighbors, neighbor, If you're going to win, you're
-
going to have to condition yourself. You're going to have
-
to train for this one. You're going to have to
-
fight for this one. So whatever you're looking to aim for,
-
you're going to have to condition.
-
Yourself for this prize.
-
So frequently he used these metaphors in the church and
-
said to you, you got to condition yourself. You got
-
to condition yourself to run. You got to condition yourself
-
to fight. You got to condition yourself to win the crown.
-
Not with uncertainty though. You got to think in your
-
mind that because you are on this end, even though
-
there was only one winner, but in the kingdom of God,
-
tell your neighbor all of us win.
-
And the only way that.
-
We win is because we stay in the fight and
-
we stay in the race and we never throw in
-
the towel. Tell your neighbor, say neighbor, make it count.
-
ah yes in the Greek games only one could win
-
the prize but then I run for life and fight
-
for the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
-
turn to your neighbor and say neighbor in this race
-
and in this fight we all win if we keep
-
running though if we keep fighting though it's the only
-
time we can win Turn to your neighbor one more
-
time and tell them we all win.
-
But you got to keep on running and you got
-
to keep on fighting.
-
The question I propose then is what do you do
-
to keep running?
-
What do you do to keep fighting? What do you
-
do to obtain.
-
The prize and reaching those that are lost and equipping
-
those that are found To send those that are chosen.
-
To fulfill the great commission. Actually there was a name
-
of what.
-
Do you do. What do you do. When you lose.
-
All of your physical strength. What do you do. When
-
the spirit of apathy. And you just don't want to
-
do it again. What do you do when your emotions,
-
my God, are deprived? What do you do when your
-
bank account calls to be insufficient and resources dry up?
-
What do you do?
-
Yes, when you're tired. What do you do? I wish
-
I talked to some real people. What do you do
-
to keep running? What do you do to keep fighting
-
when you feel worn out? What do you do when
-
you feel frustrated about life and look like life keep
-
causing you to go around the same mountain over and
-
over again? Ask your neighbor, what do you do? What
-
do you do? What do you do when you get
-
weary in well-doing? But the Bible declares don't get weary
-
in well-doing. Because if you hang in there, God will
-
reward you in due season. Tell your neighbor, get ready
-
for due season. Get ready for due season. So Paul
-
understands from his experience that to keep running and fighting
-
to win, you must condition yourself. Tell your neighbor if
-
you're going to win, you must condition yourself. There are
-
four things I want to share with you quickly. You
-
got to condition yourself psychologically. You got to condition yourself emotionally.
-
You got to condition yourself physically.
-
Physically. And you got to condition yourself financially. Tell your
-
neighbors and.
-
Neighbor, if you're going to keep on running and keep
-
on fighting, you're.
-
Going to have to condition yourself.
-
Psychologically, you're going to condition yourself by, come on somebody,
-
training your mind.
-
In other words, you got to put your mind to
-
it in order to do it.
-
When you put your mind to it, you're willing to
-
face difficult situations and problems with the end in mind.
-
In other words, if you're going to win, you got
-
to make sure that the price is bigger than the problem.
-
You got to realize that the price is bigger than
-
your dilemma. You got to see the price bigger than
-
your obstacle. Oh, I wish I had a neighbor right now.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Because you see the end game of what you're doing.
-
That what you gain will be more than what you lost.
-
But you got to lose some things.
-
In the process. But in your comparison, the suffering of
-
this world. Come on, somebody. I might be going through
-
what I'm going through.
-
But the suffering of this world cannot compare to the
-
price or the.
-
Glory that God has for me. Tell your neighbor, say, neighbor,
-
you got to put your mind in it. You got
-
to put your mind in it.
-
You got to see the price being greater than your situation.
-
The Bible said, know ye not. The day that Ron
-
in the.
-
Race that all of us run, but only one received
-
the price. And so he encouraged them and say, so Ron,
-
if you're going.
-
To run, make it count. He said, Ron, that you
-
may obtain.
-
Then he says, I therefore, in verse number 26, so
-
run not with uncertainty, but assure that if I keep
-
running and I keep fighting, tell your neighbor if I
-
keep on, I will win.
-
Tell him if I stay in the run and stay
-
in the fight, I will win.
-
The Bible declares that the race is not given to
-
the swift nor.
-
To the strong.
-
Ah, but the battle, not to the strong, but to
-
the one That endured to the end.
-
Tell your neighbors and neighbors, you got to hold on
-
in there.
-
Hold on to God's unchanging hands.
-
Hallelujah.
-
I don't throw in the towel until you cross the
-
finish line. So even though people might come in before you,
-
that doesn't mean they won.
-
Hallelujah.
-
The win is considered that if you continue this race
-
and this fight and finish the finishing line, then you win.
-
Tell your neighbors, hey neighbor, don't give up, don't give up.
-
The Bible declares, let this mind be in you. was
-
also in Christ Jesus. In other words, Jesus Christ himself
-
had to go through some problems, but the price was
-
greater than the problem.
-
Come on, somebody.
-
Hallelujah. The Bible declares that he learned obedience to the
-
things that he suffered, that he didn't have to go
-
to that rugged cross, but he saw the price.
-
In other words, he saw you and me. He's seen
-
the whole world and.
-
They will be in a better condition if he had
-
to go through what he had to go through.
-
But the price, glory.
-
To God, I wish I had somebody. The price was
-
bigger than the problem. The Bible declares that even Christ
-
Jesus himself learned obedience to.
-
The things that he suffered. Hallelujah.
-
And that he went to the cross and died on
-
that rugged cross. The Bible said that at his name,
-
every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that
-
he is the Lord.
-
Tell your neighbors, hey neighbor, you got to put your
-
mind in it. Hallelujah.
-
You got to realize that the price is bigger than
-
your problem.
-
The second thing I see here is emotionally.
-
In other words, you got to train emotionally by training
-
your emotions.
-
To diffuse impulsive responses.
-
Sometimes you respond without thinking. I wish I had somebody.
-
And because of your feeling and emotions, sometimes they'll get
-
you hurt and get you killed.
-
Come on, somebody. Hallelujah.
-
Kill your plan and kill your dream. And that was
-
wrong with Moses. God told Moses, Moses.
-
Speak to the rock.
-
But Moses, because he was impulsive in his attitude and
-
emotionally imbalanced with anger. I wish I had somebody here.
-
Instead of speaking to the rock, he struck the rock.
-
And God told Moses, listen, you just counseled out your
-
purpose and your plan.
-
You will not go into the promised land.
-
High five your neighbor's neighbor. Don't counsel God's plan for
-
your life. Come on, don't be impulsive in your decision making.
-
Hallelujah.
-
And the Bible says in verse number 25, and every
-
man that competes for the prize, somebody shout every man
-
that competes for the prize is tempered or self-controlled in
-
all things. In other words, we got to learn how
-
to navigate. Tell your neighbor, navigate. We got to learn
-
how to navigate friction. We got to learn how to
-
navigate stress. We got to learn how to navigate discomfort.
-
In other words, we can't do shadow boxing. In other words,
-
we're going to expand all of our energy. Hallelujah, because
-
we swing it at something and don't have a target
-
to hit.
-
Come on, somebody.
-
Sometimes, my brothers and sisters, we fighting things that they
-
won't even be fighting. Hallelujah, that somebody else fight, but
-
you fighting it. You expending all your energy on somebody
-
else's stuff and not your own.
-
And oh God, I wish I had.
-
And that's why it don't count for you because you
-
trying to do something for somebody else.
-
But you got to understand you got to quit shadow boxing.
-
You got to quit fighting at the air and find
-
a target that you need to hit. And whatever that
-
target is that makes sure that you don't miss a punch.
-
Because every punch that you punch is a combination and
-
a power punch. I wish I had somebody in collective
-
impact who would make a fist right there and go
-
ahead and swing at the devil and your situation and
-
knock him O-U-T out. In other words, you got to
-
learn that if you're going to control your emotions, you.
-
Got to learn how to de-escalate situations. Hallelujah. Sometimes people
-
come to.
-
You loud and boisterous, but the Bible tells us that
-
a soft answer turn around wrath.
-
Come on somebody.
-
I've had some people talk loud to me and I
-
just cut them off with a soft answer.
-
They think I'm hollering at them or screaming at them.
-
I'm just speaking to him softly hallelujah sometimes your soft
-
words is more and more clear than your loud words
-
he says you got to learn how to de-escalate.
-
In other words don't put no fuel on.
-
The fire come on somebody hallelujah the more you talk
-
the more y'all argue hallelujah the more y'all argue is
-
because the more you talk but if you learn how
-
to hold your peace come on man let the lord
-
fight your battle Tell your neighbor, say, victory shall be mine.
-
Tell your neighbor, you got to learn how to hold
-
your peace sometimes.
-
You don't have to answer every situation and problem that
-
you have to face.
-
Hallelujah.
-
You got to understand again that don't be weary and well-dened.
-
The Bible says don't overly be defensive. Sometimes we overly defensive.
-
We have to defend ourselves for everything. I say something
-
to you. No, that ain't me. I tell you this. No,
-
that's you. You overly defensive.
-
But the Bible declares, amen, that if you can't control
-
your own emotion, you're like a city without walls. Allow
-
the enemy to come in at any time. Tell your neighbors,
-
hey neighbor, you got to have self-control.
-
Hallelujah.
-
You got to be able to control your emotions. You
-
got to be able to control your words. You got
-
to be able to control your attitude. You can't go
-
from zero to 100. You can't go from A to Z.
-
Sometimes you got to have some filter Just in the middle.
-
I wish I had somebody. Hallelujah. Sometimes you just need
-
to close your mouth. Hallelujah.
-
And watch what God will do. Glory to God. Come
-
on and clap your hands and give God a praise.
-
The Bible says you ought to be quick to hear.
-
Somebody shout quick to hear. slow to speak and slow
-
to wrath because it does not work the righteousness of
-
God God said I'm working some things out as long
-
as you hold your peace get out of the way
-
and let me step up in front of you come
-
on I've already got your battle hallelujah I've already won
-
the battle for you I'll be your forefront I'll be
-
your rear guard I'll be a fence all around you
-
tell your neighbor say neighbor hold your peace let the
-
Lord let the Lord fight Let the Lord fight your battle. Thirdly,
-
you got to condition yourself physically by training your body
-
through controlling exercise and appetite.
-
So fight on, he says. In verse number 27.
-
Fight on and keep my body and I got to
-
bring this body into subjection. In other words, I train
-
my senses to know between good and evil.
-
In other words, I.
-
Control my eyes to see what I need to see.
-
I control my ears to hear what they need to hear.
-
I control my nose to sense what they need to sense.
-
I control my mouth to speak what only God would
-
help me to speak.
-
I wish I had somebody.
-
In other words, you got to understand that some of
-
us are dull of hearing and we have need to
-
be taught again. But thank God, hallelujah, our God, that
-
we are trained, that we can train our senses right
-
here on earth.
-
Some tell your neighbor, say, neighbor, control, control, control your
-
feeble body. Hallelujah. Some of us can't do what we
-
could do.
-
But I come to prophesy to somebody that God is
-
getting ready to renew your strength. Come on, I come
-
to prophesy to somebody that God is about to renew
-
your strength. I know that the devil is after you.
-
The reason he after you because you got something of value. Oh,
-
he wouldn't be after you if you didn't have something
-
of value. Many of you who've been called into ministry,
-
he see the weapon, come on somebody, that you have
-
inside of you. And so he's trying to kill it
-
before it's fulfilled.
-
But tell your neighbor, say neighbor, no weapon formed against me.
-
Shall prosper I'm gonna keep doing what I'm doing until
-
I can't do it no more and I'm gonna give
-
it the best that I got tell your.
-
Neighbor you got to make it count you got to.
-
Make it you got to make it count some of
-
you will come to tell you that God is about
-
to strengthen your body you about to renew your strength
-
as the eagle hallelujah let the weak say that I
-
am strong Oh, God, I feel like preaching up in
-
here on today. Begin to speak to your body. Begin
-
to speak to your mind. Begin to speak to your spirit.
-
Begin to speak to your situation. Speak to your children.
-
Say to this mountain, mountain, be thou removed. And because
-
of your faith, I wish I had some faith people
-
that are going to start speaking to your situation. And
-
speak into your circumstance. Things about to change and shift
-
in your life. Come on and clap your hands and
-
give cards and pray. Somebody shout glory. Somebody shout speak it. Speak, speak, speak.
-
Talk about the strength in you. Hallelujah. You're going to
-
stop flopping like a chicken. Start soaring like an eagle. Hallelujah.
-
I know about you. I want my wings. I want
-
my eagle wings. Hallelujah. I want to soar even into
-
the storm.
-
Realize that my storm only gets up under my wings and.
-
Elevate me higher. I come to tell you God is
-
getting ready to elevate you higher. Hallelujah. Say your name
-
if you're about to elevate me higher. Hallelujah. financially by
-
training yourself. Hallelujah.
-
If you're not awarded here by men that God will
-
award you. Here now I will come to my clothes
-
that Apostle Paul says when I preach and I preach
-
to others I myself shall not be disqualified. Well they
-
had a problem with Apostle Paul because they didn't think
-
that he was Qualified. I wish I had a neighbor here.
-
And this is the only church besides the other 12
-
that he spoke to. This is the only church that
-
he had some friction with them approving.
-
Him for his calling.
-
They say you're not qualified and that you're not qualified
-
we're not going to give you no money. Because if
-
your ministry is not financed then you're not qualified.
-
Now how you going to.
-
Judge my qualification on my finances? You telling me you
-
didn't look at my psychological, emotional, and physical being and
-
you're going to disqualify me because I don't have support
-
for ministry? Paul began to say, listen, I'm going to
-
preach anyhow. Brother, you give it to me or not,
-
I'm still going to preach. Oh, I wish I had somebody.
-
Because when you know what God called you to do
-
and not what other people are calling you to do, hallelujah,
-
because at any time that I can stop you doing
-
what God called you to do, maybe you're not qualified
-
to do what God has called you to do.
-
Oh, I wish I had somebody. Hallelujah.
-
Oh, the pastor won't show me no favor. He won't
-
call my name. I'm just not going to do it
-
no more. You're not qualified.
-
Huh?
-
Because you can't take hold of the plow at any
-
time and look back. If God gave it to you
-
to do it, then you're going to have to do it.
-
The problem with us is we don't know that God
-
called us to do it. We think that man has
-
called us to do it. Man ain't called Paul to preach.
-
He said, you didn't call me. I'm one who was
-
born out of order. Come on, somebody. He said, I
-
went into the backsides of Arabia and I got a
-
word from God. So you didn't call me and you
-
can't stop me from doing what God called me to
-
do and you can't disqualify me because you won't support me. See,
-
some folks are disqualifying you because they ain't supported you.
-
In other words, they can support you with a hand clap.
-
They ain't did that yet. They ain't going to encourage
-
you along the way. They ain't did that yet.
-
Even though they don't clap for you or encourage you
-
or pat you on the back, tell your neighbor, I'm
-
still qualified. Oh, I wish I had somebody here. I
-
feel like moving forward here. Tell your neighbor, I'm still qualified.
-
In other words, he said, I'd rather you pay me
-
or not, even though I have a right.
-
To receive pay.
-
Because Jesus Christ even said we all live by the gospel.
-
He said, how can I give you, I give you
-
my spirit to not receive your corner, but don't worry
-
about it.
-
For y'all that's incorrect, so.
-
That I do not cause an offense to this gospel.
-
I don't want to receive anything from you anyhow.
-
In other words, I go out and make some tent
-
and be self-sufficient just that this gospel don't be stopped.
-
Tell your neighbor, say neighbor, you got to make it count.
-
Whether people support you or not, glory to God, you
-
still got to make it count. Whether people be on
-
your side or not, you still got to make it count.
-
Whether people approve you or not, you still got to
-
make it count. He says, now what is my reward then?
-
Since I'm not going to receive nothing and I'm in self-denial. Yeah,
-
I'm denying my own rights just so I can Get
-
some of y'all. He said, what should I do now?
-
He said, what is my reward? He says, I don't
-
receive or charge you for the gospel. And yet I'm
-
still preaching this gospel. What is my reward? And then
-
he says, and I'm closing, he says, now, for though
-
I'm free, though I'm free from.
-
All men, He said, I still made myself a slave
-
just to make it count.
-
In other words, you can't stop me from preaching. I'm
-
going to keep on preaching. And if I stop preaching,
-
woe unto me. If I stop preaching, then this dispensation
-
of stewardship of gospel that God has given me is
-
in vain.
-
No, no, I got to make it count.
-
Not only when things are going well, but when things
-
are not going so well, I still.
-
Got to make it count.
-
Even though I got some with me, some not, I
-
still got to make it count. Even though I'm in prison,
-
I still got to make it count.
-
Even though I'm locked.
-
Up behind chains, yet I still got to make it change.
-
Even though I'm dropped down in a basket and they're
-
about to kill me and throw me, I still.
-
Got to make it count.
-
Although I've been shipwrecked, my God, and up to the
-
point of death committing suicide, but yet I still got
-
to make it count.
-
High five your neighbor and say, neighbor, you still got
-
to make it count.
-
He said, now I got to make it count that
-
no matter what I'm going through, And when I preach
-
this gospel, that I'm not disqualified.
-
In other words, I can't stop.
-
And I got to keep on moving because I know
-
what my prize is. My prize is to deliver this gospel.
-
No matter where I go, I'm going to deliver this man.
-
Tell your neighbors and neighbor, don't give up. Don't throw
-
in the towel, but keep on running. And keep on
-
fighting because there is a prize with your name on it.
-
If you hold on in there, tell your.
-
Neighbor, say neighbor, when we cross the finish line, we
-
still win.
-
The apostle Paul.
-
Said, even though I'm free, I made myself a slave
-
just to make it count. With your approval or not,
-
I'm still going to prove myself that I'm fit for
-
the kingdom and I can't be turned back. I'm going
-
to reach the lost. I'm going to equip the found.
-
I'm going to send the chosen to fulfill the great commission.
-
I'll find your neighbor and say, neighbor, you got to
-
make it count. Well, how do you make it count?
-
You got to get out of these four walls and
-
you got to go to people that you typically don't
-
go to. You got to go to Pimp Corner. You
-
got to go to 7-Eleven. You got to go across University.
-
You got to go to 82nd Street. But you got
-
to get out of your comfort zone. Tell your neighbor,
-
say neighbor, get out of.
-
Your comfort zone.
-
Clap your hands and give God praise. VIP, get out
-
of your comfort zone. We got a race to run.
-
We got a fight to fight. And we got to
-
finish until the fight is over.
-
We got to finish until we cross the crossing line.
-
Tell your neighbor, say neighbor, I'm getting ready to cross
-
the finish line.
-
Well, this is what you're going to have to do.
-
He said, I became all things to all men.
-
He said, I went to the Jews.
-
And when I went to the Jews, I became like
-
the Jews and started doing what Jews do so that
-
I can.
-
Win some of them.
-
How many of you are going to get out of
-
your comfort zone and go.
-
To somebody that's not like you? Or somebody.
-
Who's living in your household. Somebody shout yes. You got
-
to get out of your comfort zone. You got to
-
make it count. If you're going to do it. Go
-
ahead and do it. With the best that you got.
-
He said not only the Jews. But I went to those.
-
Who were outside the law. Being not in the law.
-
I became just like them. So that I may win.
-
Some of them too. Tell your neighbor. Say neighbor. You
-
got to make it count. You got to keep on preaching.
-
You got to.
-
Preach in season and preach out of season. You got
-
to preach when they want to hear it and when
-
they don't want to hear it.
-
We're living in a last stage.
-
That people will have itching ears, heaving up to themselves,
-
stuff they want to hear.
-
But tell your neighbor, say neighbor, preach. I don't care
-
what they call it. Preach.
-
Even if they say you ain't got to preach to me,
-
somebody shall preach. When they want to hear it, preach.
-
When you make them feel bad, preach. When they feel good, preach.
-
Under a bridge, preach. In your house, preach. Wherever you are, preach.
-
I wish I had some preachers in here that would
-
give God praise and shout, I'm going to make it count.
-
I'm going to make it count. Regardless of what it is,
-
I'm going.
-
To make it count.
-
Even those who are weak.
-
To our children lost generation. By the foolishness of preaching
-
the gospel. It's foolish to them who are lost.
-
For those that are being saved, it's a sweet smelling song.
-
We preach death to some. Hallelujah. This race. This gospel race.
-
This gospel race. I could have talked about your house.
-
And your car.
-
Don't worry about that. That'll come. You take care of
-
God's business. God will take care of your business. Preach
-
this gospel. Hallelujah. Conditioning builds character. Hallelujah. It builds character
-
because it.
-
Takes self-discipline to get there.
-
Hallelujah.
-
It builds champions because at the end of the day,
-
a champion never give up.
-
Never throw in the towel. Even though they may come
-
in second, third, yet they still feel.
-
Like I'm a champion. Hallelujah. Yes.
-
Condition calls us to be more committed what God called
-
us to be committed to.
-
You got to make it count. Just can't keep coming
-
to church just to be coming. You just can't do
-
what you do. Can't even go to work and just
-
be going to work and not make a difference.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Because they have you on staff. You make a difference.
-
In your classroom, you make a difference. In your community,
-
you make a difference. In your home, you make a difference.
-
You got to make it count We're all standing, if
-
you will, to.
-
Make it count today. There may be somebody now.
