Malachi chapter 4.
Malachi 4 chapter mention
-
And uh we want to read one verse, verse 2.
-
In a reference to the Messiah, to the coming Messiah, it says, But unto you that fear my name shall the son of righteousness arise with healing in his wings.
-
And you will go forth and grow up as calves of the salt.
-
Other translations say he'll rise with health in his wings.
-
Another says, health will be under his wings.
-
And still another says, in his wings he will bring saving health.
-
And over and over again in the Old Testament, we're going to take the time to look at all the verses, but over and over again in the Old Testament, it was stated that the Messiah would be a healer.
-
Isaiah 33, 5 and 6 talks about when the Messiah arrives, that he will heal the blind, that he'll cause the lame to walk.
-
Isaiah 42, 6 through 7 again talks about the blind scene, the lame being well.
-
Very familiar verse to us, Isaiah 53, 4 and 5, states that with his stripes we will be healed.
-
Isaiah 61, 1 again, talks about the Messiah healing, setting people free, delivering them.
-
And then Malachi, the verse that we just read.
-
And the reason this is so important, firstly, is because anything that Jesus ever did, he's still doing.
-
Anything that he was prophesied to do, he did.
-
Anything that he did, he is still doing.
-
Come to find out, the child was like four years old and just had never developed, had never grown.
-
And so he prayed, obviously, in faith.
-
And he said, You know, I just knew I wasn't making the connection.
-
And he said, uh, on the way home, I was asking the Lord, I said, Why couldn't I help them?
-
And uh the Lord said to him, He said, because the baby doesn't need healing.
-
There's parts that are missing that have to be created.
-
It doesn't need healing, there's nothing there to heal.
-
And the reason that's so important is because the creator will create whatever's not there.
-
And if something is defective, he will heal it.
-
All right?
-
If nothing is there, if I was born without a thumb on my right hand, I could not pray, Lord, heal my thumb.
-
I've never had one.
-
It needs to be created.
-
Right?
-
And we can see this over and over in the scriptures, where there were things restored, and then there were things created.
-
Because there were there were there were instances where nothing was there, and yet it was created, because the creator is created, the healing power knows no limits.
-
It knows no limits.
-
There's nothing beyond the healing power, if we can say that, or creative power of God.
-
All right.
-
And uh in John 9 is where we want to begin.
-
And we're gonna deal specifically uh in the healing ministry of Jesus, and uh, of course.
-
In John 9, and verse 1, notice it says, and as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
-
Blind from his birth, so he had never seen.
-
Right?
-
He he he he was born blind from the time he was born, he had never seen.
-
And uh, of course, we're not gonna take time to go through all the verses, but uh Jesus told him in verse 7, go wash in the pool of Siloam, which is by interpretation sent, he went therefore and washed and came singing.
-
And that's gonna be important as we move on in this lesson.
-
But what I want you to see, if we move over to verse 30, the religious leaders are uh debating with this man about whether or not Jesus is a sinner.
-
And, you know, he made that famous statement.
-
I don't know if he's a sinner or not, but what I do know is I was blind and now I see.
-
Hallelujah.
-
But verse 30 says, the man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvelous thing that you do not know from where he is, and yet he's opened my eyes.
-
Now we know that God does not hear sinners, but if any man be a worshiper of God and does his will him he heareth.
-
Since the world began, was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind?
-
If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.
-
If he was not of God, he could do nothing.
-
Well, obviously this is a reference to the Messiah.
-
If this man were not of God, because the verses that we mentioned previously from Isaiah, they all state the Messiah would open the eyes of the blind.
-
The reason this is important, again, is that anything Jesus was prophesied to do, he did.
-
And anything he did, he will still do.
-
So the the creator is creating.
-
Say it out loud, the creator is creating, and the healer is healing.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah.
-
In Mark 8, we'll reference back here to John 9, but Mark 8.
-
And verse 22.
-
It says in reference to Jesus, he cometh to Bethsaida, and they bring a blind man unto him and besought him to touch him.
-
And he took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town, and when he had spit on his eyes and put his hands on him, he asked if he saw anything.
-
And he looked up and said, I see men as trees walking.
-
And he put his hands again upon his eyes and made him look.
-
Now notice this phrase.
-
And he was restored and saw every man clearly.
-
Now this is important because this man had at one time been been able to see.
-
Why?
-
Because he knew what trees looked like.
-
Right?
-
He said, I see men as trees walking.
-
Well, if you you're blind, you wouldn't know what a tree looked like.
-
But he said, I see men as trees walking.
-
And the King James says, and he was restored.
-
So sight had been lost, but here it's restored.
-
Right?
-
So whatever has been lost can be restored.
-
Why?
-
The Creator is creating and the healer is healing.
-
So whatever had caused this man to lose his sight was healed.
-
And his sight was restored.
-
So something caused the loss of his sight, but it was restored.
-
The amplified Bible says his sight was completely restored.
-
Another says he was completely restored.
-
Then the living Bible says his sight was completely restored.
-
So Jesus restored his sight that had been lost.
-
Jesus restored it.
-
Now, the reason that's important is there's no limit.
-
There's no limit to the power of God.
-
If it was once there, see, that's good news because if it once worked properly and now it's not, it can be restored back to that state.
-
Amen.
-
But even if it's not there, the creator can create it.
-
Amen.
-
So it lost his sight, but it was restored.
-
Amen.
-
Say it out loud.
-
The creator is creating.
-
And the healer is healing.
-
So if it worked right at one time, Amen.
-
It can function right again.
-
I remember years ago, oh my goodness, this has been close to 20 years ago.
-
I was uh I was at the gym that we had there in Kansas City, and well, actually Olatha, Kansas.
-
And um I was I was doing some things, and I was in this room and I was stretching, doing some things.
-
There was an older man in there, older then, probably my age now, but older than me then.
-
And uh in any event, I was talking to him about some things, and you know, he was an older guy, and he was, you know, flexible and stretching, and I was talking to him about it.
-
He said, the thing about flexibility is this he says, even if you have lost it, if you'll start trying to regain it, it can be restored.
-
Because that's what your muscles are designed to do, to stretch, to expand, to be flexible, right?
-
Amen.
-
Now, now again, because people have this idea, you know, once you reach a certain age, there's things you can't do.
-
Usually you can't do it because you stopped doing it.
-
I'm not going to preach on that.
-
Anyway, if my point is that that brought something to my spirit, if it worked right at one time, it can function right again.
-
Right?
-
If I saw well at one point, I can see well again.
-
Right?
-
Because the healer is healing.
-
Right?
-
If if if if I there's something that's not there, the creator is creating.
-
So the man in John 9 that we read about was born blind.
-
He had never seen.
-
Right?
-
He was born that way.
-
He had never seen anything.
-
But what did Jesus do?
-
It says he gave him sight.
-
He gave him sight.
-
Right?
-
Remember when the two blind men came to Jesus and they followed him to the house, and he said, What do you want me to do for you?
-
And they said, Lord, that we might receive our sight.
-
Right?
-
We might receive our sight.
-
Well, they they they didn't have any sight, they needed to receive it.
-
Hallelujah.
-
And it says that Jesus restored their sight.
-
So he gave this man sight.
-
Hallelujah.
-
In Mark 8, the man had lost his sight.
-
So Jesus restored what had been lost.
-
Amen.
-
What had been lost.
-
If strength is lost, he restores it.
-
If ability in an area is lost, he restores it.
-
If it's never been there, he'll create it.
-
Hallelujah.
-
And so I have to build my faith in that arena that it's not harder for him to heal than it is for him to create.
-
And it's not harder for him to create than it is for him to heal.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Say it out loud: the creator is creating, and the healer is healing.
-
Amen.
-
I've talked about the man that God created cartilage and put it back in his knee.
-
Saw him Sunday morning, running all over the church, up and down the stairs, lifting things, doing everything that he's ever been able to do.
-
No pain in his body at all.
-
Well, the creator created.
-
I mean, there's nothing more evident than the doctor saying, I don't know how this happened because your body can't reproduce cartilage.
-
But it did.
-
Well, the creator created it.
-
Amen.
-
Our bodies are not designed to run out of anything.
-
Right?
-
Because originally they were created to live forever.
-
Amen.
-
And they can't live forever under this curse that's in the world.
-
So obviously, if Jesus doesn't return, all of us will die at some point.
-
But here's the thing: then that body that was created to live forever will be resurrected and glorified and will live forever.
-
I mean, if you don't like your body, you're going to have a problem because this is eternity right here.
-
Just perfection.
-
That's just perfection.
-
People say, Well am I going to look like in heaven?
-
You looking at it.
-
Just at the perfect age and the perfect state.
-
That's just the reality of it.
-
Now, why?
-
Because that's how God created people in the beginning, created mankind in the beginning, with nothing that was going to be lacking.
-
And so in John 9, the man had no sight from birth, and he gave him sight.
-
In Mark 8, the man was restored from what had been lost.
-
Amen.
-
Mark chapter 3.
Mark 3 chapter mention
-
And verse 1.
-
And he entered again into the synagogue.
-
And there was a man there that had a withered hand.
-
A withered hand.
-
So the word withered means to waste away.
-
Or to shrivel.
-
And so at one point, it had not been in that condition.
-
It wasted away.
-
It shriveled up.
-
It drew back.
-
Alright?
-
Now, again, we don't know why.
-
Was it an injury?
-
I don't know.
-
But the point is, he says, he make the Bible makes it plain to say it was a withered hand.
-
And they, the religious leaders, watched him whether he would heal on the Sabbath day.
-
That they might accuse him.
-
And he said to the man, which had the withered hand, stand forth.
-
And he said to them, Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath, they are evil, to save or to kill, but they held their peace?
-
And when he looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for their hardness of heart, he said unto the man, Stretch forth your hand, and he stretched it out.
-
Notice, and his hand was restored whole as the other.
-
His hand was restored whole as the other.
-
His hand, the Barclay says his hand was restored to health.
-
The NIV says his hand was completely restored.
-
The Wee's Bible says his hand was restored to its former state.
-
Right?
-
So ever how good it was, if it fell off from that, it can be restored to that state.
-
See, we don't want just to be better, we want restoration.
-
Right?
-
I've asked people this question for years.
-
You know, there's things you can live without in your body, but why would you?
-
I mean, I understand that.
-
You see what I'm saying?
-
But I can have it restored.
-
Amen.
-
I can have it restored.
-
So he said it was restored to its former state.
-
So this happened over a period of time.
-
It happened over a period of years or months, or ever how long it was.
-
His hand withered, it shrunk back.
-
It dried up, happened over a period of time.
-
But in this encounter with Jesus, it was restored whole as the other.
-
Say it out loud.
-
The creator is creating, and the healer is healing.
-
So this happened over a period of time.
-
Amen.
-
You know, uh, when Jesus went to the pool of Bethesda, we've we've taught on that extensively.
-
But it says he saw that man that had been there, and it said Jesus knew that he had been there a long time.
-
A long time.
-
He had been in that state, in that condition.
-
And when you look at that, it appears that that man lapsed into that state.
-
He became bedridden, right?
-
But when Jesus prayed for him, immediately whatever it was was restored.
-
Whatever had caused that issue was stopped.
-
Oh, hallelujah.
-
And he took up his bed and walked.
-
But he had been there a long time.
-
And so whether it's just starting, or whether it's been there a long time.
-
Right?
-
Rather I was born without it, or whether I lost it, or whatever the case may be, it can be created.
-
Hallelujah.
-
You know, if God created it once, it's no problem for him to create it again.
-
Right?
-
Even if I was born without it, God created it, so he's got it for me to be able to have.
-
Hallelujah.
-
So this happened over a period of time.
-
But yet his hand was restored whole as the other.
-
Glory to God.
-
Look at Luke 14.
-
The creator is creating, and the healer is healing.
-
Luke chapter 14 and verse one.
Luke 14 chapter mention
-
And it came to pass as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the Sabbath day.
-
That they watched him.
-
And behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.
-
One translation says, right in front of him was a man suffering from heart failure.
-
Right in front of him was a man suffering from heart failure.
-
Other translations say swelling in the arms and the legs, swelling in the legs.
-
And well, that that is a sign of congestive heart failure.
-
Your body starts retaining fluid.
-
That's not just something I've read, it's something I've experienced with family members.
-
My dad had congestive heart failure, and the main symptom was swelling in his arms, swelling in his legs, retention of fluid.
-
And so right in front of him was a man suffering from heart failure.
-
And Jesus spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day?
-
And they held their peace, and he took him and healed him and let him go.
-
Hallelujah.
-
So heart failure.
-
In order for something to fail, it had to at one point be working correctly.
-
So this had come on this man.
-
Hallelujah.
-
And caused this failure, his heart began to fail.
-
But notice Jesus took him and healed him.
-
Why?
-
The healer is healing.
-
And the creator is creating.
-
And so whatever was wrong with his heart was healed.
-
Hallelujah.
-
And if you'll notice something about Jesus, he didn't, he didn't, a lot of these, it's evident what was wrong with people.
-
But Jesus didn't ask a lot, you know, what's the problem?
-
What are you dealing with?
-
Right?
-
People came to him and said, I need to be healed.
-
And he said, okay.
-
And he healed them.
-
Right?
-
Because this is what's important.
-
Nobody needs to know necessarily what I'm dealing with.
-
I just need to know that the healer's healing.
-
And the creator is creating.
-
What that does is it is it gives avenue for my faith to operate unhindered.
-
Right?
-
Because if I'm constantly focusing on what I have to deal with, all right, I put I put emphasis, I put uh, if I could say it this way, I put uh difficulty level based on what I'm dealing with.
-
That's what people do.
-
Right?
-
I've used this illustration before.
-
If you talk to somebody and you say, How you doing?
-
You know you doing all right?
-
Yeah, I'm fine.
-
Just got a little cold, it'll be okay in a couple days.
-
But if you call a person and you talk to them and say, hey, how you doing?
-
And they say, Well, you know, they don't say it this way.
-
They don't say, well, yeah, you know, I went to the doctor and they found cancer, but I'll be okay in a couple days.
-
They don't say that.
-
Because they look at that, cancer.
-
You know, we even give nicknames, the C word.
-
The big C.
-
Right?
-
Cancer and a cold.
-
Well, you know, both of them start with C.
-
You know, there are people that get colds and die.
-
Is that right or wrong?
-
They get colds and they die.
-
What's a cold?
-
A virus.
-
People get colds and the virus opens things up and they die.
-
But yet most people will look at it and say, well, it's just a cold, so I'll be okay.
-
Now, cancer, now that's a whole big deal.
-
That's another big deal.
-
Right?
-
And so here's the thing most people do not exercise their faith on the common cold.
-
They take medicine and go to bed.
-
Most people, and I'm not criticizing, I'm just saying most people don't.
-
But boy, they get something that they consider big, they pull out every scripture, they get everybody's book, they go to everybody's meeting, they want everybody and everybody's dog to lay hands on them.
-
Right?
-
Why?
-
Because I got to get rid of this.
-
Well, see, but if if I attack a cold the same way I would attack cancer, colds wouldn't stay around very long.
-
Right?
-
I've got to understand that.
-
So Jesus never attached emphasis to what the person was dealing with.
-
He never attached emphasis to that.
-
He just dealt with it all the same way.
-
So whether he was dealing with someone who had never walked, or someone that had become paralyzed, someone that had never seen, or someone that lost their sight, he dealt with it the same way.
-
Why?
-
Because the power of God will do whatever is necessary in that situation.
-
I've just got to believe God in that arena.
-
And so if there's something that needs to be created, I don't want to let myself lapse into this idea that that is a difficult thing.
-
To God, who is all powerful, there's nothing difficult.
-
There's nothing difficult.
-
Right?
-
I mean, people will say, well, there's nothing God doesn't know.
-
You know, God knows all things.
-
He does.
-
But understand that everything about God you put all in front of it.
-
All-knowing, all-powerful, all wisdom, all whatever it is.
-
And so if there's nothing hard for him, then my job is to get my faith centered up on him and not on what I think the difficulty level of this is.
-
Hallelujah.
-
You know, raising my kids over the years, of course, I raised two boys.
-
And uh they they they were in they were right in the the time frame when uh uh you know, PlayStation, Next Box, and everything was really hitting its zenith.
-
And so I learned a lot about that, right?
-
And on every game, you had difficulty levels, right?
-
You know, level one, you look back on it, level one was real easy.
-
Right?
-
But once you got up to like level 25, level 30, you started hearing this.
-
Oh, this is gonna be a hard level.
-
Well, why?
-
Well, it's level 30.
-
It's gotta be hard, right?
-
I mean, man, level one, we thought that was hard, but now level 30.
-
So what are you expecting?
-
You're expecting difficulty.
-
Right?
-
You're expecting difficulty.
-
You know the buttons on that controller, they do the same thing on level 30 as they did on level one.
-
Right?
-
The opposition is a little more difficult.
-
Your job is the same.
-
Right?
-
You may face a physical challenge of lesser or greater degree, but your job is the same.
-
Keep your faith in God and in his word.
-
That never changes.
-
And then whatever comes, whatever arrives, whatever shows up, my faith is in the word of God and in what his word says, and I'm not so concerned about the difficulty.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Right?
-
Because if you attach emphasis to the difficulty, that becomes your focus.
-
Amen.
-
One of the speakers at Faith Explosion this year, Brother Kevin Cairo, one of our ministers in the Kansas location, he went to the doctor.
-
He was having some symptoms in his body, and he went to the doctor, and uh uh uh they did a uh a prostate exam on him, and a a uh an acceptable PSA level is like seven to nine.
-
That's acceptable.
-
Anything above nine is cancer, right?
-
They say you you probably have cancer.
-
Well, he was like 11, almost 12.
-
All right?
-
And here's what the doctor said to him.
-
He said, now he said there, and Brother Kevin's a black man, and he said to him, the doctor said, now you do know that this kills most black men.
-
Thank you, doctor, for your bedside manner.
-
Right?
-
Now I don't know if he was trying to convince him of how bad it was or whatever, but here's the thing.
-
Here's the thing.
-
It's bad.
-
Right?
-
The doctor looks at you and says, This kills most people.
-
Well, that's not what I want to hear.
-
But but understand.
-
Because, number one, because of what he believed about the word, secondly, about where he went to church, what they believed, what we believed about the word.
-
Right?
-
He came with the bad report and said, This is this is what the doctor said, right?
-
And the response that he got was, well, you know, this is what the word of God says.
-
We can say this and it sounds so elementary, but you know, whatever the name is, it's just a name.
-
Right?
-
It's just a name.
-
It's and and every knee will bow, every tongue will confess.
-
But here's the point.
-
So they attach this difficulty level on what he was dealing with, but yet he chose to take the stand and believe what the word of God said, and he was making the statement while he was ministering.
-
He said, it was so powerful, he said, because he said every time Pastor would see me, he'd say, How's that healed man doing?
-
How's that healed man doing?
-
And he said, It got so big in me that one day I said, You know what?
-
I am healed.
-
I am a healed man.
-
Amen.
-
Well, he just had a doctor's visit not too long ago, and I think his PSA was three.
-
Right?
-
So not only did he not die, he's thriving.
-
Right?
-
Amen.
-
Say out loud, the creator is creating and the healer is healing.
-
See, so whatever the expectation level is, with each successive birthday, what are you expecting?
-
What are you believing you're gonna see?
-
Amen.
-
Well, you know, once I reach this age, and uh and once I get here, and once I get there, you know, you see you see the you see the progression.
-
You you go to the the doctor and you see health charts and it starts down here at the baby, you know, and then it hits about 20, and and the guy's standing upright and he's strong, but then as he hits his 40s and 50s, you know, they they got a picture of the the guy like this, and he's got his cane, I can do anything, right?
-
Well, if that's what you're expecting, right?
-
So how why is it so much more difficult at 60 than it was at 30?
-
Because people attach that level of difficulty to it.
-
Right?
-
The Bible says, and you know this, but we need to hear it, the Bible says that the word is health to my body and moisteness and strength to my joints.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Amen.
-
Every time I see my pastor kicking his leg and shouting at the age he's at, I'm that's me.
-
That's me, that's me right there.
-
Hallelujah.
-
I I had a guy talk to me.
-
I coached basketball with him last year, the girls' team.
-
And uh uh he and I we're we're we're pretty good friends, and we there's a running app that we're we're both on, and uh uh we can see what each other's doing.
-
And uh anyway, I was at a football game with him, Lily's in cheer, and so we traveled to the football game, and I was talking to him, and he said something, and I think maybe in my 20s, you know, I would have thought about it different, but uh he said, you know, I look at I look at the way you're doing and how you're running, and he said, that's what I aspire to do.
-
When I and he almost said it.
-
He said, when I'm old, uh uh, when I'm at the age you're at, right?
-
He said, that's what I want to be doing.
-
I thought, well, you might or you might not be, you know, uh, you gotta believe certain things.
-
But the the the point is you can't attach the difficulty level to it and focus on it.
-
That's what Jesus never did.
-
Right?
-
Now, now, how do we know people do that?
-
Because people will come and immediately they say what they've been diagnosed with, the side effects, what they're going through, and how long the doctor gave them.
-
Right?
-
Now, I'm not saying you shouldn't pay attention to that or listen to that, but what I'm trying to explain to you is this that tells me that they've attached a difficulty level to this.
-
And urgency.
-
Well, the doctor said I've only got six months.
-
I get it, I understand that.
-
Sometimes we get those reports, but here's the thing: line that up with, with long life, I will satisfy you.
-
Put that beside, I will not die, but I will live and declare the works of the Lord.
-
Put that beside, he will take sickness away from your midst, and the number of your days you'll fulfill.
-
Right?
-
So, what does that mean?
-
If the healer is healing, even if they put this tag out there that says you've got this and you've got six months to live, does that stop the healer from being able to heal?
-
No.
-
See, so that's why it's so imperative.
-
What do you believe about this now?
-
Because there's absolutely no guarantee that in your future you won't get a bad report.
-
There's no guarantee.
-
You have no Bible guarantee of that.
-
What you do have is in spite of the report I receive, I have a choice as to which report I will believe.
-
Right?
-
And the way I believe is the way it goes.
-
How do I know you're gonna walk totally free from what you're dealing with?
-
Because you believe you will.
-
You have faith that you will.
-
Amen.
-
And so this man's heart was restored.
-
It was restored in Acts chapter 3.
Acts 3 chapter mention
-
Oh, hallelujah! Say it out loud: the creator is creating, and the healer is healing.
-
Acts chapter 3.
Acts 3 chapter mention
-
And you know these verses, but let's read them.
-
Verse 1.
-
Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
-
And a certain man, lame from his mother's womb, was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple, which is called beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple.
-
Who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, ask an alm.
-
And Peter, fastening his eyes on him with John, said, Look on us, and he gave heed to them, expecting to receive something.
-
And Peter said, Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
-
Rise up and walk.
-
And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and here's a key phrase, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength, and he leaping up and leaping up, stood and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God.
-
Now there's some things to notice.
-
First of all, this man was crippled from his mother's womb from birth.
-
He never had walked.
-
Never had walked.
-
Alright?
-
And it lets us know that the reason he never had walked, there was no strength in his legs.
-
One translation says, uh, from the time he was born, he never had walked.
-
Amen.
-
And notice, again, Peter and John didn't say, now, now don't misunderstand, it's okay to do this, but I want you to see the emphasis here.
-
They didn't say, well, how long have you been here, boy?
-
Exactly what's the problem?
-
And again, I'm not saying that's wrong.
-
We do that as the Lord leads.
-
But here's the thing: it didn't matter.
-
When you believe in the healing, restoring power of God, you stop looking at things as hard or difficult, and your mindset is it doesn't matter.
-
I'm not doing this in my strength, I'm doing this in his strength.
-
Right?
-
That's how you're not moved.
-
In the healing ministry, when you're praying for people, you know, you realize that there are people that come up in the line that if they don't get a miracle, they're gonna die.
-
They're coming up to have you lay hands on them, and if they don't receive from God, they're not gonna make it.
-
Natural, whatever it is, there's no hope.
-
Right?
-
There's too many people I've laid hands on like that to number.
-
I can't even remember how many.
-
So you realize real quick that even if they have a slight whatever it is, I can't heal that.
-
My father used to say, I can't heal a fly with the heacups.
-
Right?
-
I can't, I can't, in myself, I can't do it.
-
I've got to totally rely on the power of God.
-
And that's what Peter said.
-
He said, Look, what you need is not silver and gold, but I do have what you need.
-
Right?
-
And and notice, now, notice this.
-
This is important.
-
It says he they that they he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, verse 7, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
-
And what did he do?
-
He leapt up and went with them, walking and leaping, and praising God.
-
We know from Peter's uh issue with the leaders, religious leaders, he was over 40 years old.
-
And the Bible said he had never walked.
-
So for over 40 years, he's never taken a step.
-
But one encounter with the power of God, and he's up walking and leaping.
-
Not staggering around, walking and leaping, and praising God.
-
Right?
-
So what happened?
-
Whatever was not there was fixed.
-
Amen.
-
Notice it says they received strength.
-
So they had never had strength, so they received it.
-
Oh, hallelujah.
-
So even if I've had people come to me and say, pray for me, you know, I'm I feel like I'm losing my strength.
-
Now, wait a minute.
-
I understand that, but even if you are, what'd he say?
-
Now remember the verse in Isaiah?
-
To them that have no strength, he increases might.
-
God gives power to the faint.
-
Is that right?
-
Is that right?
-
So even if I feel faint, what does he do?
-
He gives me power.
-
I don't feel like I have might.
-
What does he do?
-
He increases my might.
-
Why?
-
The creator is creating and the healer is healing.
-
So he was crippled from birth.
-
But even though he was crippled from birth, at once, he received strength.
-
Immediately, he receives strength.
-
Amen.
-
Look at Acts fourteen.
-
This is uh Paul and Barnabas in Lystra.
-
And it says there sat verse eight, there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, without strength in his feet, being a cripple, notice, from his mother's womb, who had never walked.
-
Never had walked.
-
Hallelujah.
-
You know, this is so important because, you know, if if if something went wrong in your health, it was once well and it went wrong, that's a faith builder right there, because if it used to work right, it can work right again.
-
This man doesn't know how this is supposed to work.
-
He doesn't know what it's like to walk.
-
He's never walked.
-
Notice he says again, he had never walked.
-
The same heard Paul speak.
-
Who's steadfastly beholding him?
-
He was intently observing him and perceiving he had faith to be healed.
-
He had faith.
-
We don't know how many times this man had heard the word.
-
This is at Evidently his first time.
-
But Paul saw something in his spirit and saw something on the man's demeanor that he had faith to be healed from a condition that he'd had since he was born.
-
Hallelujah.
-
So what is that telling us?
-
It doesn't take forever.
-
It doesn't have to be a drawn-out process.
-
Right?
-
He had never walked.
-
The same heard Paul speak, steadfastly beholding him, perceiving he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, Stand upright on your feet, and he leaped and walked.
-
So lame from birth, he had never walked.
-
Hallelujah.
-
One translation says, seeing he had faith to be restored.
-
He had faith to be restored.
-
So whatever was causing this from the time he was born in that instant, in that moment of time, he was healed, he was restored, he was brought to a place of wholeness.
-
Why the creator is creating and the healer is healing.
-
See, be very careful about what you listen to, because uh, you know, you'll you'll get a report that says, well, this is not working right, and it it probably won't work right, you know, without this.
-
Or it may not ever work right.
-
I mean, we can do what we can do, but it, you know, it's gonna progressively get worse.
-
No, it's gonna halt its present course of action, it's gonna reverse, and healing's gonna be the result.
-
Amen.
-
Say it, say it out loud.
-
It will halt its present course of action, it will reverse, and healing will be the result.
-
Oh, hallelujah.
-
Amen.
-
Sometimes people say, you know, this pain's just getting worse.
-
Wait a minute, hang on.
-
The pain will stop, it will reverse its present course of action, and the result will be no pain.
-
Why?
-
Jesus carried our pain.
-
Right?
-
Jesus carried our pain.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Am I helping you?
-
You know, sometimes I'll quote that to people and they'll say, Yeah, but you don't understand.
-
I had this surgery and I've had this issue, and I've had back surgery, and I've had this surgery, and I've had that surgery.
-
You know, it's just what you can expect with surgeries.
-
You know, I mean, it's it's I'm just gonna have pain.
-
Okay, but what do you do with Jesus carried it?
-
Notice it didn't say Jesus carried all the pain that surgeries did not produce.
-
Jesus carried the pain, except for this.
-
If it's causing you pain, he wants you to be free from it, so he carried it.
-
So if there's something not there, remember the man I talked about with no cartilage?
-
What was causing him pain?
-
Something was not there.
-
What'd the creator do?
-
Created it.
-
Why?
-
So he wouldn't have pain.
-
Does God care if we're in pain or not?
-
If he cares, then I can expect him to take it.
-
Oh, hallelujah.
-
The the uh young girl, she was 17 years of age that came to the church, and uh I was during during praise and worship, I was sitting on the platform uh and I noticed I'd never seen her in her family before, and I noticed that uh that she had this look, just this pained look on her face.
-
And a couple times she started to get up and and sat back down.
-
And when I got up to minister, I just felt led of the Lord to pray for her.
-
I didn't know them, I didn't know who they were, I'd never seen them before.
-
Well, they had somebody had told them that people would get healed when they came to our church.
-
So they came to the church uh for the specific purpose of her getting healed.
-
She had what they call an idiopathic issue, condition.
-
All right, the doctors knew something about it, but what it was was she had, they thought it was migraines at first, but it wasn't.
-
She had a condition that caused such severe pain in her head that she would blackout, she couldn't, she couldn't go to school, she had not gone to school for over a year, uh, she couldn't sit upright.
-
Her days were just laying in bed trying to deal with the pain.
-
I mean, they they they tried nerve blocks, they tried everything they could to stop, and and they couldn't find it.
-
The reason why she was looking so obviously so painful in praise and worship, any noise bothered her, right?
-
Any noise.
-
And we're known for making a loud, joyful noise, all right?
-
And uh uh uh so she was gonna get up and and go out because of the pain.
-
Well, at that moment, of course, we we stopped and uh I called her to now she didn't tell me all this before I prayed for her.
-
I didn't know any of that.
-
I just said I believe the Lord wants me to pray for your healing.
-
And so she came up and and I did.
-
I prayed for her, and uh, you know, we as we say in our circles, the power of God, you know, she went out under the power of God and was just there for a long time.
-
And um, she got up and the pained expression was gone.
-
She said, she testified to the church.
-
She said, for the first time in over a year, I have no pain in my body.
-
Absolutely no pain.
-
Then we went back home and I got a letter from her and her family, and she said, I just want to give glory to God.
-
She said, I did get to go back to school.
-
I did graduate my senior year of school.
-
I went to my prom.
-
She said, I've been back to the doctor.
-
They don't know how this happened, but they said it's a miracle.
-
It's a, it's a it's a verified miracle, right?
-
No pain in my body.
-
I don't, listen, I to this day I don't know what it was.
-
I didn't need to know.
-
God knows.
-
My job is to put faith in what God said.
-
Amen.
-
In uh the late 1950s, early 1960s, uh, there was a young man that lived in uh Sepulpa, Oklahoma, and uh uh named Ronnie Coy, Ronald Coyne, C-O-Y-N-E.
-
And him and his brother were playing one day on the farm, their grandparents' farm, and his brother was swinging a piece of baling wire around that they they they put on hay bales, and it hit him in the eye.
-
Hit him in the eye, and and uh for whatever reason, you know, maybe his parents thought it would get better or whatever, I don't know.
-
They didn't take him to the doctor immediately.
-
Well, he developed an infection in his eye.
-
And by the time they got to the doctor, they had to take the eye, had to take the eye out, and they gave him a prosthetic eye.
-
And uh so he went on with that, and later on in his life, he's a teenager, he feels called to the Lord, and he went to a um a meeting that Till Osborne's sister was ministering in.
-
Daisy Gillock was her name.
-
And uh and he went and she was uh ministering the word and praying for the sick.
-
Well, he had uh a sore throat, and so he went up and uh to have prayer for his throat.
-
And so she prayed for his throat, and uh he uh she looked at his eye, she thought he was just blind in the eye.
-
And she said, And Lord, uh heal his eye while you're at it.
-
Well, he said his testimony was, you know, I didn't want to take time to stop and say, Look, that's impossible.
-
You know, I don't even have an eye, there's no eye to heal, right?
-
She said, Lord, do a work in his eye.
-
And so uh he went back and sat down, didn't think any more about it, but he knew the power of God had come into his life.
-
Well, here a few days later, he's just minding his own business, and he starts seeing now that eye.
-
And he said, This, is this right?
-
He put his, believe his left eye, he put his hand over his right eye, and he could see perfectly.
-
But there's no eye.
-
No eyeball was ever formed.
-
Now you gotta understand something.
-
This is not something I heard.
-
This man was a personal friend of ours.
-
He stayed in our home.
-
He he practically was an uncle to me.
-
No eye, no eye in his eyeball.
-
No, no, in his eye socket, no eye.
-
He would travel around and and minister, and people were saved and healed by the scores, but they would they would they would cover this eye completely up.
-
He would take that that prosthetic eye out and hold that eye socket open, no eyeball.
-
Empty socket.
-
And people would bring their driver's license up and he'd read it.
-
Bring their social security card up and he'd read it.
-
No eye.
-
God doesn't need an eye for somebody to be able to see.
-
Your eyes see by the power of God.
-
Right?
-
God, God doesn't need an eye for someone to see.
-
I don't know why God didn't recreate his eyeball.
-
I don't care.
-
I I think about that over the years.
-
Is there anything impossible to God?
-
Man can see with no eye.
-
I don't think there's anything impossible.
-
So he restored sight, but yet the eyeball wasn't restored.
-
Oh, hallelujah.
-
See, I don't need to have something I can see happen to me.
-
I just need to believe that it's that way.
-
The creator is creating, and the healer is healing.
-
Amen.
-
When my to they told my grandson, my oldest grandson, when they told him it's impossible.
-
He's gonna have to have open heart surgery.
-
There's a hole in his heart as big as a quarter.
-
It's not gonna get any better, right?
-
Born premature, just a little over two pounds.
-
There's a hole in his heart, he's never gonna get any better.
-
But yet, from the time they told us that, and we started declaring over him Psalm 112, his heart is fixed because we're trusting in the Lord, right?
-
Jeremiah 33, you will bring health and cure to him and heal him of his wounds.
-
Right?
-
We're declaring that.
-
They said, Well, we're gonna wait.
-
We're gonna wait, we're not gonna do the surgery, we're gonna wait.
-
But it'll it'll have to happen in about six months or three months or something like that.
-
Well, they took him to the cardiologist.
-
Well, we're gonna wait.
-
And so, well, we'll we'll do it at a year.
-
Then he went at a year, no, we're gonna wait.
-
And and it's not gonna be open heart surgery.
-
We will probably be able to go through a vein and just do a patch.
-
Okay, all right.
-
Well, bring him back in six months.
-
So they brought him back in six months.
-
No, we're not gonna do that either.
-
Bring him back, bring him back, bring him.
-
They kept bringing him back, bringing him back.
-
I've still got the text today where my daughter-in-law texts us and said, I just wanted to give you the latest report from Griffin's cardiologist.
-
His cardiologist said that his heart is healed and he will never need surgery.
-
It went from the size of a quarter to a size of a pinhead that you can't even see.
-
The healer is healing, and the creator is creating, so he had a hole in his heart.
-
He didn't need to have a heart created, but he healed the hole.
-
Ronnie didn't have an eyeball, he didn't put an eyeball back in, but he restored his sight.
-
Glory to God.
-
Steve didn't have cartilage in his knee, but he does now.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Jalen Joachim had 0% chance of living.
-
Half of his heart was missing, it was not there.
-
But the creator created it.
-
And he's alive today with no heart trouble.
-
How do you go from half your heart not there to 10 years old with no sign of any deformity in your heart?
-
Because the creator is creating.
-
Amen.
-
See, listen, you're too late to try to get me to believe that God doesn't do what he said he would do.
-
Amen.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Say it out loud.
-
The creator is creating, the healer is healing.
-
Amen.
-
Think about some of those things in the Bible.
-
When you think about, uh, we talk about Abraham and Sarah.
-
And very often what people focus on is Abraham's age.
-
You know, that Abraham fathered a child when he was uh a hundred years old.
-
Think about this.
-
Who did he father a child with?
-
Not only a 90-some-odd-year-old woman, but a 90-some-odd-year-old woman who had always been barren and had never been able to have children.
-
Right?
-
When he came out of Ur the Chaldees, it says, it talks about the other family members and their children.
-
And it says, and Abraham's wife Sarah was barren.
-
She was barren when they came out.
-
This is important.
-
Because, yes, it says, it says uh concerning Abraham.
-
What does Hebrews 11 say about Sarah?
-
It says, Sarah herself received strength to conceive seed when she was past the age because she judged him faithful, who had promised.
-
Right?
-
God promised her and said, This seed, this promised seed is going to come through you.
-
And what'd she do in the tent?
-
Laughed.
-
Isn't that right?
-
And God, God said to Sarah, why'd you laugh?
-
And Sarah lied to God.
-
I didn't laugh.
-
Oh, but you did laugh.
-
Right?
-
Now, their situation was so desperate that both of them, our father in the faith, laughed at what God said.
-
Just two chapters previous, God told him, I'm going to give you a son through Sarah.
-
And Abraham laughed.
-
Why?
-
Because not only did he know how old she was, he saw that she had always been barren.
-
But God did it.
-
So what had caused the barrenness?
-
We don't know.
-
Whatever it was, God created it.
-
God restored it.
-
See, God doesn't use used parts.
-
He puts everything back brand new.
-
Amen.
-
Lilyn B.
-
Yeomans, who wrote the books Healing from Heaven, The Healing Balm of Gilead, all these different things.
-
Wonderful healing evangelism.
-
God healed her way back in the early 1900s.
-
In World War II, she had relatives in Europe.
-
And she got such a burden to pray for them that she got under the care of it.
-
And she got sick and almost died.
-
And the Lord revealed to her what was going on.
-
And she grabbed a hold of it and came against it.
-
And the Lord restored her.
-
Here's the thing she lost all of her hair because she was so worried.
-
Got so sick she lost all of her hair.
-
When she lost her hair, it was gray.
-
When God healed her and restored her, her hair grew back in black.
-
Now that may not matter to you, but how does hair that was gray, what do you think when you see gray hair?
-
Oh, just go ahead and say it.
-
What do you think?
-
Age.
-
Right?
-
Old.
-
I'll say it.
-
Right?
-
That's why you really don't know how old some people are because their hair is 25.
-
Right?
-
Like somebody said one time, what do you call a blonde who dyes her hair brunette?
-
Artificial intelligence?
-
I didn't say that.
-
I said somebody said that.
-
But it grew in black.
-
What's the point?
-
The restorer is restoring.
-
The creator is creating.
-
Right?
-
The creator is creating.
-
You know, Abraham had six more children after Isaac.
-
From who the Bible says was dead.
-
Restoration.
-
The creator is created.
-
Say it one more time.
-
The creator is creating, and the healer is healing.
-
Say it out loud.
-
Whatever I need to be restored is being restored in my body.
-
Whatever needs to be created is being created.
-
Whatever needs to be healed is being healed in the name of Jesus.
-
Hallelujah.
-
I'll say this last thing before we go.
-
Because your body was never designed to run out of anything.
-
We gotta keep that in our minds.
-
Right?
-
If your body's overproducing something, it was not designed to do that.
-
So we call for it to come back into the parameters of healthy living.
-
Right?
-
Whatever it may be.
-
I was not supposed to ever have high glucose.
-
I was not supposed to have low glucose.
-
Right?
-
I'm designed to have the perfect amount.
-
That's so important.
-
Because when someone says you've got high this or high that, wait a minute, I call for you to come back into the parameters of healthy living.
-
And whatever I need to do.
-
Now look, whatever I need to do to help that, I'll do it.
-
Amen.
-
So, Father, I thank you for that restoration.
-
I thank you for that creativity.
-
I thank you for that healing in the name of Jesus.
-
And Father, we just speak over those present and those watching, Lord, online in the name of Jesus.
-
For those creative things to be a reality in the name of Jesus.
-
Lord, for those creative.
-
We call them creative miracles, Father, but in reality, they're just you creating what should have been there in the first place.
-
And so I thank you for the creation of those organs, Father.
-
I thank you for the creation of those things.
-
I thank you, Lord, I'll say it just that way.
-
I thank you for the unwrapping of those elements in the name of Jesus.
-
Ah, I thank you for the uncrimping.
-
I thank you for the untying of those things in the name of Jesus.
-
So that they will function according to the way that you design them to function in the name of Jesus.
-
Thank you, Father, for strengthening our bodies, strengthening our hearts, our eyes, our ears, our lungs.
-
Father, thank you for strengthening our muscles.
-
We're not going to atrophy and just fall apart.
-
We're going to grow stronger day by day.
-
Lord, we're going to grow stronger day by day.
-
If Moses, under the first covenant, could be 120 and his natural force not be weakened, and his eyesight not dimmed, I believe you can do that today.
-
And so we just receive it in the name of Jesus.
-
And we thank you for it in Jesus' name.
-
Amen.
-
We'll be here tomorrow night ministering the word of God.
