  1. 20. The book of Acts chapter 20. We do thank

    Acts 20 chapter mention

  2. and praise our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for yet

  3. another day.

  4. Amen. Amen.

  5. God is good.

  6. He's a wonderful God.

  7. And while you got Acts 20 and let's put a

  8. thumbtack right there at Philippians chapter 3.

    Philippians 3 chapter mention

  9. Can you get that? Say amen. Philippians chapter 3. Amen.

    Philippians 3 chapter mention

  10. Let us go before the Lord.

  11. Father God, we come in the name of Jesus. Thank

  12. you for praising and giving God, you're worthy of the

  13. praise today. We thank you for a safe arrival today, God.

  14. We thank you for waking us up this morning, Father God,

  15. in the name of Jesus.

  16. We come to be fed by you, God.

  17. Feed our spirit, feed our soul, God, that we may

  18. stand right in thy sight. We also bow before you

  19. this morning, Father, in the name of Jesus. We come

  20. with no shape, form, or fashion, no other plan but

  21. to serve you today, God. and to hear a word

  22. that will encourage us, a word that will change our

  23. hearts to.

  24. The righteousness of Jesus Christ. We come, God, that you

  25. would help us to live.

  26. This righteous life, even the more, with all the wickedness

  27. that's going on in the world, Lord. We are in

  28. some dangerous times, and you already prophesied that we'll be,

  29. and they're here today. They're here now, God. Continue to

  30. prepare us, Lord. Because you've already warned us. It's preparation time, God.

  31. And some should already have been prepared. But it's up

  32. to us, God, that you have given us these treasures,

  33. these weapons of warfare, your word of God, to help

  34. those who are losing in this battle to come and

  35. have the victory that we have in the name of Jesus.

  36. We dare not share this word, God.

  37. We need and know that we have been called to

  38. share this word to those of the lost. Help us

  39. to be those bold soldiers in the name of Jesus.

  40. And forgive us of our sins, Father. As we come, God,

  41. this morning, even the more, Lord. Forgive us of our thoughts.

  42. Forgive us of the sins we may have committed. Forgive

  43. us of the way we may have acted, the thoughts

  44. in our minds, the words that we may have spoke.

  45. That were contrary to you, Father, in the name of Jesus.

  46. All I'm saying, God, is help us.

  47. In Jesus' holy name. We say thank God. The church

  48. said amen.

  49. Amen.

  50. Chapter 20 of Acts, verse 24.

  51. But none of these things move me, neither can I

  52. my life give unto myself, it's Paul, so that I

  53. might finish my course with joy.

  54. Listen to Paul.

  55. He's telling you, neither can I my life give unto myself.

  56. His life belongs to the Lord, and the Lord can

  57. do with it as he so desires. This is what

  58. Paul's saying. We be lying when we're telling God that

  59. at times. We want to take it back over. Paul said,

  60. but none of these things will leave.

  61. He's putting eternity in the hands of the Lord.

  62. He is.

  63. Neither can my.

  64. Life be unto myself. He's telling us his life don't

  65. belong to him no more. It belongs to God. And

  66. God can do whatever he desires to do in his life.

  67. I know we got some things we want to do.

  68. If God tells you don't do it, you do it anyway.

  69. But Paul said, I'm going to do what you say. See,

  70. he took on the spirit of Jesus Christ only. Because

  71. Jesus said, I go where you tell me to go.

  72. I say what you tell me to say. I speak

  73. what you tell me to speak. I do what you.

  74. Tell me to do. In other words, my life belongs

  75. to you. And then Paul goes on to say, so

  76. that I might.

  77. Finish my course with joy. He knows that if he

  78. gave his life to God totally and take on the

  79. very desires that God has for his life, he says...

  80. that I might finish my course with y'all.

  81. And that the ministry and.

  82. That ministry and the ministry, see I said it a

  83. couple times because see, y'all got a ministry like Paul.

  84. Had a ministry.

  85. And the ministry, he said, which I have received of

  86. the Lord Jesus to testify that For the gospel of the.

  87. Grace of God.

  88. Y'all got that ministry. He's proclaiming. Basically what. This course

  89. that he's on.

  90. And his message. Was Jesus Christ.

  91. And him crucified. Amen. See Paul.

  92. Statement of his priority. His priority. And his value.

  93. Is a great perspective to him. And it should be

  94. a great perspective for.

  95. Any believer of any age.

  96. Self-preservation must be subject to the faithful completion of the

  97. work assigned by the Lord Jesus Christ. To all of

  98. us is what we should have too. Paul was single-minded

  99. by the Lord Jesus. Paul was single-minded. He was a

  100. single-minded person And the most important goal of.

  101. His life was telling others. Y'all hear what I say.

  102. The most important. There was some stuff that was important.

  103. But the most important of his life was telling others

  104. the good news.

  105. Amen. That was the most important. We got important.

  106. Stuff in our lives.

  107. Amen.

  108. But the most important should be.

  109. Us telling folks about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Philippians

    Philippians 3 chapter mention

  110. chapter 3 and verse 7. But what things were gained

  111. to me, Paul again, he's talking about the privilege as

  112. a Jew. But what things were gained to me, talking

  113. about the things that were gained and were privileged to

  114. him as a Jew, these I counted lost for Christ.

  115. They don't mean nothing in terms of Christ. Because he

  116. let me know all must be given up. All we

  117. give up for and a thousand times more, nothing we have.

  118. Is worth us holding on when it comes to Christ.

  119. Ye doubtless and count all things but loss for the

  120. excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord.

  121. For whom I have suffered the loss of all.

  122. Things and do count them but done that I may

  123. win Christ. Next to Christ, everything else is nothing. You

  124. know what dung is, right? That's when he counted anything.

  125. Outside of Christ. He counted as dung.

  126. And he found in him, verse 9, not having my own,

  127. oh my, not having my own righteousness, which is of

  128. the Lord. But that which is through the faith of Christ.

  129. The faith in Christ is what Christ did on the cross.

  130. The righteousness which is of God by faith. That's a

  131. spotless righteousness made possible by Jesus Christ by the cross.

  132. That I may know him.

  133. That I may know him. That I may know him

  134. is referring to what he did on the cross and

  135. the power of his resurrection. The power of his resurrection

  136. is that he may know the newness of being raised

  137. from resurrection like Jesus was. That he may know the

  138. newness of the life that now he uses now, that

  139. he's walking in now.

  140. That the old life is gone, but that he.

  141. May know him And the power of his resurrection. And

  142. the fellowship of his suffering. Being made comfortable unto his death.

  143. And being made conformable.

  144. Unto his death.

  145. Which means we must conform to what he did for

  146. us at the cross. Not just being conformed to it,

  147. but also understanding. that this is the only means of

  148. salvation and sanctification.

  149. If that even means I might.

  150. Have changed into the resurrection of the dead, not as

  151. though I had already changed. I ain't got that yet.

  152. Either we're already perfected I'm still working, God's still working

  153. on me. I'm still going forward, though. If that I

  154. may apprehend for which also I have apprehended of Christ Jesus.

  155. Brethren, I cannot myself to have apprehended.

  156. But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which

  157. are behind, reaching forth.

  158. Unto those things which I have before. So he's forgetting

  159. those things which are behind.

  160. Him.

  161. Reaching forth into those things which are before.

  162. Him.

  163. I'm looking ahead. I ain't looking back. I'm looking ahead.

  164. I'm not looking on what was in the past.

  165. I'm not looking on what was in the past. I'm

  166. not looking on what was in the past.

  167. I'm looking ahead. Amen? These things consist of all victories

  168. of the cross.

  169. I'm looking ahead. You ain't looking in the past. I'm

  170. going forward.

  171. You can bring the past if all you want, but

  172. I'm still looking ahead. And I press towards tomorrow. I

  173. got a moral and spiritual target that I'm pressing towards.

  174. I'm looking ahead for the prize of the high calling

  175. of Christ. In Christ Jesus. Amen.

  176. You may be seated in the house of the Lord. Amen.

  177. Paul.

  178. Listen to Paul's language. Paul said. I love the Lord.

  179. I gave my everything.

  180. To the Lord. All of my dreams, all of my hopes,

  181. all of my desires, they end up here.

  182. That he may live for me. It's not I that

  183. live anymore, but.

  184. He that lives in me. I decrease that he may increase.

  185. I'm giving my all to Jesus Christ, holding back nothing.

  186. Because I'm stretching.

  187. Forth for the glory of the high calling of the

  188. prize of Jesus Christ. Paul here denies that he has

  189. already obtained his objective in verse 11. Amen? If that

  190. means I'm not attained unto the resurrection of the dead,

  191. he's saying I'm not attained yet. But my objective is

  192. to know Christ and all that is included in this

  193. knowledge that is experiencing his power, sharing his suffering, Being

  194. made like Jesus in death and experiencing the resurrection from

  195. the dead.

  196. I want to be like Jesus. I want to be

  197. like Jesus in his totality.

  198. I don't want a little.

  199. Piece of Jesus.

  200. I want to be out of all of Jesus. At

  201. this point in his life, Paul knew Jesus, but not

  202. to the full.

  203. Amen.

  204. Amen. At this point, he knew Jesus, but not to

  205. the full extent that was possible. This is where we are.

  206. We know Jesus, but not to the fullness of what

  207. is possible.

  208. Of knowing him.

  209. We still are getting to know him more and more

  210. if we are trying to get to know him more

  211. and more.

  212. I said if we're trying to get to know him

  213. more and more.

  214. The only way that we can get to know him

  215. more and more.

  216. Is turning them pages in the Bible.

  217. The only way we can get to know him more

  218. and more is picking up this word of God on

  219. a continuous basis. This has saved Psalter. They don't really

  220. know him like they.

  221. Need to know him.

  222. Paul said, I don't know him like I.

  223. Need to know him, but I'm.

  224. Stretching forth to know him even more every day. Hallelujah. Oh,

  225. I know we got to go to work.

  226. We got to come home and cook dinner, clean up

  227. a little, have a little entertainment.

  228. But at some time of the day, we ain't doing nothing.

  229. And if we sit around watching TV like I do sometimes,

  230. we ain't doing nothing. And that's a time to get

  231. to know me. We know the TV better than we

  232. know Jesus. I'd watch almost every episode of Lord of

  233. the Rings. I can't even turn to know Columbo no more.

  234. I've never seen it all. Y'all hear what I'm saying?

  235. We got to get to know Jesus that way.

  236. I know how Columbo works better back in my head.

  237. I'd probably watch every episode of Parabasis.

  238. But how much do we know about Jesus? We got

  239. to get to know him.

  240. Paul said, I don't fully know. And I'm.

  241. Working towards knowing him more and more and more. More

  242. and more.

  243. He said, I know, but not to the full extent possible.

  244. He has experience and power, but not to the degree

  245. he desires it. I've experienced his power. But not to

  246. the degree that I desire it. Because I've got a

  247. desire to experience more of the power of God. I'm

  248. talking about me. I don't know about anybody else.

  249. He has been made like Jesus in his death.

  250. But he can die still more to see it and

  251. settle just like us.

  252. Amen, somebody. We've been made like Jesus in his death.

  253. But we too, like Paul, can die more to sin

  254. and more to ourselves.

  255. We, like Paul, walk in the newness of life, but there's.

  256. Room for improvement.

  257. Amen.

  258. You walk around with your head way up like this.

  259. So you can trip over everything until you realize you

  260. ain't really that tight.

  261. Like folks walk around like they.

  262. Got everything they need in life. All the money and

  263. food and clothes. And they can stiffen their nose up

  264. in the air towards everybody. And sooner or later, they're

  265. going to fall off a cliff.

  266. And they can't see the cliff coming. Here, too high.

  267. Too pride.

  268. We need to die more than sin itself. We walk

  269. in the news of.

  270. Life, but there's room for improvement. Either we're already perfected,

  271. unlike the perfectionists.

  272. There are some perfectionists, Brother.

  273. Mary, who claim to be sinless in this life. Hard-mixed

  274. then he is not. I admit that I am not.

  275. I live in a fallible body. Sin could be an occasion.

  276. Could be an occasion.

  277. Amen to that. Could be.

  278. But they claim to be sinners in this life. But

  279. Paul admits that he is not. Because I have not

  280. yet apprehended him fully.

  281. So if the chief, the chief.

  282. Of the apostle does not feel he has arrived spiritually,

  283. you got people walking around like they already arrived. I'm

  284. super jealous of this division of the soul of God.

  285. Like that superintendent thought they had arrived in that church

  286. that was in the church in the past.

  287. They had chairs facing this way and chairs facing this.

  288. Way up front. And they had people in the pool

  289. pit and all the rest of the chairs facing this way.

  290. And the church was so crowded.

  291. People were standing up around the wall. And the superintendent

  292. came in late because he wasn't there when.

  293. The service started.

  294. So he was late.

  295. And I'm sitting here in about four rows going this

  296. way right there. And I should come to me and say,

  297. excuse me. I said, no. I said, if the superintendent

  298. was on time, the superintendent would have had.

  299. To see it.

  300. They looked at me like I was crazy. Superintendent don't

  301. mean more to me than to do to you like that.

  302. Superintendent ain't nobody.

  303. If you'd have said, excuse me, can you give me

  304. a seat? I'd have popped up. No, I can't give

  305. up my seat. Being that you're the superintendent, she's putting

  306. on time. But you probably felt like you already arrived.

  307. And when you get there, somebody's going to give you

  308. a signal.

  309. It wasn't me.

  310. It wasn't me, Sister Lisa.

  311. It wasn't me.

  312. But the apostle does not.

  313. Feel that he has arrived being the chief apostle.

  314. Then neither should we. I followed after Jesus Christ.

  315. Jesus made me.

  316. He laid a hold of Paul on the road to.

  317. Damascus for the very reason mentioned in verse 11.

  318. In verse 10 and 11. To know him, that's why

  319. he laid hands on him.

  320. To know him, Paul conceded that he has not yet

  321. realized this goal to the full extent possible.

  322. But he is in hot pursuit of it.

  323. He ain't realized the total possibilities, but yet he's in

  324. hot pursuit of all the possibilities that's possible. You see,

  325. people get on the job and they pursue every possibility

  326. that they can reach on the job.

  327. This level, that level, and another. Trying to make it.

  328. They bootlegged some to get to other levels. They sleep

  329. with some to get to other levels. They put their

  330. all in it. But I will put my all in

  331. to get to another level knowing Jesus.

  332. That's what's important. That's what's going to keep us alive.

  333. Along on his job and sometimes you'll wind up with

  334. a boot that.

  335. You've been licking.

  336. You'll wind up with that boot, D. You're out of here.

  337. All that boot licking got you there. The boot.

  338. I can see it. That won't get you kicked out.

  339. Follow after Jesus. Amen.

  340. Get in hot pursuit. Paul was in hot pursuit of Jesus.

  341. Amen. He lets you know in verse 12 he's in

  342. hot pursuit of the Lord. Not as though I had.

  343. Already attained either there or already perfect.

  344. But I follow after that if that may happen. if

  345. that I may apprehend for which I am apprehended of Christ, Jesus.

  346. I'm going after this thing. He said, brother, I count

  347. not myself to have apprehended it, though. So here Paul

  348. did not consider that he had achieved spiritual marching. He

  349. was not all he knew he could be.

  350. See, we're somewhere, but we're not all that we know

  351. we can be in Jesus. Amen.

  352. There's room for improvement. There are thoughts still that make

  353. me need improving on. Sometimes a little quicker of that

  354. anger when we used to be angry all the time.

  355. Here's the anger management right here, Jesus. I don't need

  356. to lay on the couch and talk to somebody who's

  357. probably angrier than I am.

  358. I want to talk to Jesus.

  359. Gives me the joy that the world can't comprehend.

  360. Amen, somebody.

  361. Paul lived in absolute confidence of his ultimate salvation. Can

  362. we say that, church? Like we too must have perfection

  363. as our goal. Perfection must be our goal. Let's look

  364. at Matthew chapter 4.

    Matthew 4 chapter mention

  365. I'm going to go through it. Matthew chapter 5.

    Matthew 5 chapter mention

  366. Go to chapter 5, not 4. Let's look at verse 4.

  367. Matthew chapter 4.

    Matthew 4 chapter mention

  368. It says, blessed are they who move, and they shall

  369. be comforted.

  370. Amen. These are not people.

  371. And these are people who, blessed are they who mourn. Amen?

  372. They mourn for sinlessness. Amen?

  373. For they shall be comforted. So the Holy Spirit will

  374. do for these who properly elevate themselves to spiritual power.

  375. Amen?

  376. To obtain the very essence of the character of our

  377. Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed are they.

  378. Amen.

  379. So we too must have this mindset of perfection as our.

  380. Goal to be perfect in Jesus Christ.

  381. We have not arrived, but yet we need to be

  382. working toward the prize of the.

  383. High call, rather, of Jesus Christ.

  384. Amen. And not to pretend, to pretend like folks are.

  385. That sin does not exist.

  386. We're not to pretend that sin does not exist. 1

    1 John 1 chapter mention

  387. John chapter 1 and verse 8 tells us, if we

  388. say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves. Look

  389. who gets deceived. Your own self. keep telling folks all

  390. the time, if you are tricking yourself, if you're deceiving yourself,

  391. who's going to tell you? If somebody else is tricking you,

  392. somebody might be the king. But if you're tricking yourself,

  393. it's a hard thing.

  394. To say.

  395. If you say you have no sin, you deceive your

  396. own sin.

  397. And the truth is not in you. It's all going

  398. on with you.

  399. The past should not be used as a barrier to

  400. the future. Amen? The past should not be used as

  401. a barrier to the future, as an excuse.

  402. For dropping out. You see, I'm.

  403. Talking about this this morning, about how people get saved,

  404. and they're walking this walk of salvation.

  405. And God is blessing it rapidly.

  406. And then you've got to know that there's a saying,

  407. there's a bigger devil on every level. And when your

  408. levels start coming up, things get a little bit more hard.

  409. The trials and tribulations get a little bit more tougher.

  410. And when they begin to get a little bit more tougher.

  411. This is when some people, because the.

  412. Deliverance ain't coming as fast as they want to, I

  413. look at it like this. Right here is the prayer.

  414. Right here is in the meantime. And right here is

  415. the answer to the prayer of your deliverance. But people

  416. get caught up right here in the meantime. And when

  417. they get caught up in the meantime, a lot of

  418. people give up right there. And they drop out. Don't

  419. drop out.

  420. Your strength is being tested right there.

  421. Don't drop out.

  422. But they want to drop out at this time. But

  423. you got to be like Paul and have absolute confidence

  424. of your salvation.

  425. Amen? And not let the past be used against you. Like, see,

  426. I tried to do this, but I can't do it.

  427. So here's your idea. You're that person on the devil's sticks.

  428. I couldn't do it. I just couldn't do it.

  429. Are you back?

  430. Well, listen. That's what soothes your nerves instead of Jesus.

  431. You go back to the drinking and the smoking. But

  432. you got to hold on and don't drop out. Amen.

  433. The past should not be used as a barrier to

  434. the future as an excuse to drop it out. Or

  435. for avoiding proper spiritual conduct in our relationship with God.

  436. God ain't listening to you. You keep talking about you.

  437. Love the Lord and you bragging. You got to think

  438. about a holy God. A holy God.

  439. Come on. A holy God.

  440. What's wrong with you?

  441. Thinking of you singing to a holy God in Iraq.

  442. You see, you never heard of it before until a

  443. year back. Where was it in Jesus' time? Where was

  444. it when Jesus went on the cross for the sins

  445. of this world? Where was it after the burial and

  446. the resurrection? Where was this gospel rap being? Because it

  447. should have came somewhere at the time that the Lord

  448. began his ministry and he died on the resurrection. And

  449. he didn't say nothing about gospel rap. Did he leave

  450. here and forget to tell us it was a such

  451. thing as gospel rap? Because I don't believe, I know

  452. he didn't because, you know why I know he did?

  453. Because he's still here. And he still ain't said nothing

  454. about gospel rap. So our conduct.

  455. And our relationship with God should be holy.

  456. You see, Paul would forget his past credentials as a

  457. Jew and the knowledge that he had of the law

  458. and his accomplishments and sin and run the race reaching

  459. for the finish line, pressing on towards the goal.

  460. That's what we're supposed to be doing. Amen? Amen.

  461. I'm going to bring the baby to the podium in

  462. a minute. Y'all pay attention. Amen. Paul.

  463. You know it's ironic that that just came up. I

  464. like that. Because Paul stayed focused.

  465. He didn't let anything take.

  466. His focus off of him. I'm preaching in the baby's.

  467. Heart, but I'm still focused. So if I can still

  468. preach by the way of Holland, you can still focus

  469. while I'm preaching. Amen to that.

  470. Thank you, Lord.

  471. You see, the enemy will use anything to distract you

  472. from the very thing that God wants you to have.

  473. You see, Paul said, when.

  474. He said he pressed towards the mark, he pressed towards

  475. the mark.

  476. You know what oppressing is. To press is to keep

  477. on going.

  478. Don't let nothing stop you. The woman with the issue

  479. of blood, she pressed through the crowd. Twelve years of bleeding,

  480. she had heard about him who did what he did,

  481. and when the crowd was there, she went before him

  482. against the law because in the condition she was in,

  483. she wasn't supposed to touch nobody. but she had to

  484. get her delivered, so she pressed through the crowd. She

  485. couldn't actually reach him, so she touched the ATM of

  486. the H.I.M.

  487. And got her delivered.

  488. Why? Because she pressed towards the mark, and it all

  489. dried up after 12 years. See, this was the crowd.

  490. This was in the meantime, and when she touched the

  491. ATM of the H.I.M., This was a deliverance, but in

  492. the meanwhile, 12 years had passed.

  493. But she kept pressing.

  494. I said 12 years. Some people, if one minute passed.

  495. They'd fall apart.

  496. But Paul pressed on toward the goal of the high

  497. calling of Christ Jesus.

  498. In other words, Paul says, I count myself. I count

  499. not myself to have apprehended.

  500. Whatever gift, grace, or honor I may have received from

  501. Jesus Christ, I consider everything as incomplete till I.

  502. Have sinned my course. So, out of the grace.

  503. the gifts, all of the blessings that God and Jesus

  504. had given to him, he still said, I.

  505. Count myself still incomplete.

  506. People get a little guilt and they take off running

  507. like it's done. He said, I count it as incomplete. Why?

  508. Until I have finished my quarrel. It ain't complete until

  509. All the grace of God, all the mercy of God,

  510. all the gifts of God. It ain't complete until I

  511. finish my course. Because you know what? You see, this

  512. is it. After all the gifts God has given to me,

  513. after all the grace and mercy he's given to me,

  514. after all of the blessings he's given to me, they

  515. turned their back on God.

  516. They didn't finish the course. Dad and went to heaven.

  517. He said, I kept myself incomplete.

  518. He still said, I ain't arrived.

  519. Even after all the grace and mercy and blessings and gifts,

  520. I ain't arrived. Until I finished my course. He said,

  521. until I got the crown. I got to get the crown.

  522. I got to get the crown, dude. When I get

  523. the crown, I'm in. I done finished my course. I

  524. got to get the crown. And not just the crown.

  525. Get the crown and have my body raised and fashioned

  526. after his glorified body. After his glorious body. Then I

  527. finish my course. I've got the crown and my.

  528. Body been raised in glory.

  529. Covered with the gloriousness of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.

  530. I finish my course. I'm there.

  531. I've apprehended him.

  532. I'm there. But not right now. This is the concern

  533. as it is the sole business of my life, as

  534. Paul says. Forgetting those things which are behind. That his

  535. conduct is not regulated nor influenced by others. I consider

  536. my cause, my master, my work, and my end if

  537. others think they have time to be sinful. I play games.

  538. I'll be idle-minded.

  539. I have not that kind of time.

  540. This is Paul saying, I ain't got that kind of time.

  541. I ain't got that kind of.

  542. Time to tell people, oh, maybe you're going to get

  543. a little bit. He said, I ain't got that kind

  544. of time to play that kind of game. The Lord said,

  545. 25 people in here are going to give a hundred.

  546. He said, I ain't got that kind of time to

  547. be playing them games. I ain't got that kind of

  548. time walking around with my nose. I'm Bishop Duro.

  549. No, I Because time is flying and eternity is at hand.

  550. How about that kind of time? Because time is flying.

  551. Eternity is at hand.

  552. Is at hand. Your time is just about up for

  553. this thing. So you got no time to play.

  554. I don't have that kind of time because eternity is

  555. at hand.

  556. In all in all.

  557. And all, and my all, and all.

  558. Is in faith. I don't have time to pray. Because

  559. my all, and all, is in faith.

  560. Your soul is.

  561. In faith, church.

  562. Look at the times we're living in.

  563. You think the Bible is right. The prophecy is here.

  564. The end time is about to happen. You keep having

  565. so much time, but no time for him. You're going

  566. to find yourself shot down. You're going to be like

  567. that movie I told y'all about.

  568. Man with all the money trying to buy you. Man,

  569. that money can't get you anywhere.

  570. But you're done for, dude. He's letting you know that

  571. you understand you're done for. You missed the first resurrection.

  572. You missed it. It came like a blink of an eye. Yeah.

  573. Had already arrived. No, Paul said keep working and working

  574. and working to the end of your time.

  575. Keep working. Don't give up.

  576. Don't drop out. Stay in faith. Stay on your knees.

  577. Stay in prayer. Stay in fasting. Stay in belief. Stay

  578. away from the sinner. Keep on moving towards the high

  579. call of Jesus Christ.

  580. Preach the gospel to the sinner, to the Lord. Don't

  581. hang out with them. Hang them off. Because they don't

  582. understand it's very important in this day and time that

  583. you hang them off. They need to know Jesus. But

  584. if they don't want to receive it and just want

  585. to have fun with you, shake them off.

  586. The Bible says shake them off before they... mess you up.

  587. Before they corrupt you, shake them off.

  588. Because bad communication corrupts good habits.

  589. That's scripture. That's God's word.

  590. God has said it. Y'all know what that means. It's

  591. a done deal.

  592. It's a done deal.

  593. It's over. I consider my call. He considers his calling.

  594. God has called every one of us in this house

  595. Every one of us that's listening on the airwaves, God

  596. has called us. But Paul said, I have considered my calling.

  597. All of us should be.

  598. Considering the call that's on our life by our Lord

  599. and Savior Jesus Christ. He said, I have considered my calling.

  600. Not only have I considered my calling, I consider the one.

  601. That called me.

  602. So I consider my master. And then I consider the

  603. work that the master wants me to do.

  604. I consider my heart. I consider my master. I consider

  605. my work. And I also consider my end.

  606. He was ashamed. the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was

  607. a sinner. He was a sinner. I went to the hospital,

  608. ministering the gospel to him. I knew he wasn't saved.

  609. I knew he was a wretched individual. He knew he

  610. was a wretched individual. But I knew he was dying.

  611. He had AIDS. He was dying of fat. And you

  612. know what I mean.

  613. I don't know if he was trying to be bad

  614. at his family. I was trying to give him the

  615. word of God. He didn't want to hear it in

  616. front of his family because he was ashamed of God.

  617. But Paul said, I consider my calling. I consider my

  618. master and my work and my end.

  619. We can sit on it.

  620. With the gospel of Jesus Christ. I don't have that

  621. kind of time.

  622. I don't have time to be idle-minded because the idle

  623. mind is devil worship. I don't have time to be idle-minded.

  624. I have not that time because time is flying.

  625. And eternity is ahead.

  626. And I got to, and my all along is a state.

  627. My soul is a state. I got to keep pressing

  628. towards the mark. I got to reach for it.

  629. People are reaching back.

  630. The Bible said, don't put your hand to the plow

  631. and reach back. You're not worthy of the kingdom of God.

  632. He said, I'll reach forth. This lets us know that

  633. Paul has strong.

  634. Exhortation that he's making in this race. He's running this race.

  635. He's running this race with every muscle, every nerve, in

  636. his body, is exerting, and he's putting forth every particle

  637. of his strength. Now, y'all hear what I'm saying? You

  638. see runners run a race in a women's. You see

  639. runners run a race in college and high school. What

  640. do they all do when they get close to their

  641. finish line?

  642. They stretch forward.

  643. Are you hearing me, D?

  644. They stretch forward.

  645. They're stretching forth for the finish line. Paul said, I

  646. stretch forth for the finish line. Runners running a race.

  647. They're running.

  648. Do you really think they're running 100 yards like this?

  649. They're running.

  650. They're running.

  651. They get down. And then when they get to the end,

  652. they stretch forth. They put every part of their body

  653. in the race. Remember Paul was saying, I put.

  654. My all in this thing.

  655. And when I see the finish line, I stretch forward.

  656. He's trying to win. That's why they stretch forward.

  657. They stretch forward because they're trying to win. Paul said,

  658. I stretch forward. But if it's 20 runners, and Paul

  659. stretched forward, and the man behind him stretched forward, and

  660. the other man stretched forward, in this race, they all win.

  661. I put it all in my running posture. Because he

  662. was running. You know why I put it all in there?

  663. You know why he put every fight in his body.

  664. Every muscle in his body, everything he had to give,

  665. he put it in.

  666. And when he got close to the finish line, you

  667. know why.

  668. He stretched himself like that?

  669. Anybody know? Because he was running for his life. See,

  670. he wasn't running for a trophy. He wasn't running for.

  671. The world's record.

  672. He was running for his life.

  673. You hear what I'm saying? He was running for his.

  674. Life.

  675. That's how they do it.

  676. I've seen a race one time where a girl cheated

  677. and tripped the other girl and she was way behind.

  678. I think this was a little one. That girl put

  679. everything she.

  680. Could in when she got here. Look, you know what

  681. she did? She didn't get back up. She didn't get

  682. over it.

  683. No. No. And the rest of you.

  684. Are you with me?

  685. She fell down.

  686. She got back up. She fell down. She fell into sin.

  687. But she got back up. And ran with every sin

  688. in her. And she actually won the race. She dusted

  689. herself off and got back up. She didn't stay down.

  690. She didn't feel like she was defeated because she fell

  691. short of the glory. She got back up and jumped

  692. in the glory. And kept running the race. Paul strengthened

  693. the people. Paul pressed on to reach the end of

  694. the race and receive the prize, the prize of salvation

  695. in Jesus Christ. Paul aimed to win the prize. His

  696. aim was to win the prize. Look, The target's right there.

  697. Why would I want to shoot over there? I'm going

  698. to aim at the target. My job is to aim

  699. at the target. My job is.

  700. To aim at the target to try to hit the bullseye.

  701. So that I can win the prize. Why would I

  702. be pointing the way over here? My aim is off.

  703. You got to get focused. The target's right there.

  704. Paul said, I ain't winning the prize. But all who run,

  705. it's a good thing. But it's not until all who

  706. finish the race win. All who run, that's well.

  707. But all that finish are the ones that win the prize.

  708. For the prize of Christ Jesus is calling us.

  709. Hear the music.

  710. Call.

  711. Is the summons.

  712. To win. The victorious prize.

  713. Of salvation. That's what God's calling us.

  714. He summons in all of us. Get summons according to

  715. what God is saying. Come on. put a warrant on you.

  716. But even though they put.

  717. A warrant on you, you'll be all right.

  718. But miss the summons of God.

  719. You ain't going to court. You're going to hell. And

  720. you can't come out of there. And you're not going

  721. to be all right. Don't miss the summons. He summons

  722. us to win the victorious prize of salvation. The renewed

  723. Which God from above calls us.

  724. Back to Christ Jesus. The renewed. You know those that

  725. need a life in Christ.

  726. Those that are.

  727. Not looking back to the past, but stretching forth to

  728. the future. Those that are not allowing the past and

  729. the folks in the past.

  730. To dictate who and where and how we should act.

  731. but looking forward to the one that leads.

  732. Us, who is Jesus Christ. He's our reward, which God

  733. from above calls us back. Amen.

  734. And it's very willing for us to have it. We

  735. just have to receive it. He's more than willing for

  736. us to have it. He's trying to double it in

  737. our life. We just need to receive it. Paul, like us,

  738. should keep in view. See, Paul yet still keeps in view.

  739. His crown of mourning and his glorious resurrection.

  740. Paul can't wait to get out of here. He's looking

  741. at it one at a time. I believe I've done

  742. all I can do. I ain't ready yet, but I'm

  743. going to do it.

  744. Looking for his morning. He was looking forward.

  745. To his morning. He wasn't afraid of death. He was

  746. ready to go and wear a crown. He read that

  747. crown on his head. But in due time, he was

  748. ready for his glorious resurrection. But in due time, amen

  749. to that. Amen. In due time, Paul was expressing his

  750. absolute dedication.

  751. To the service of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was

  752. making a statement.

  753. Of priorities. He had priorities. His priorities was God's priorities.

  754. His values were God's values.

  755. His faithfulness in completing his work in the gospel.

  756. Of Jesus Christ.

  757. Well, Paul replied, if you would be willing to bear

  758. the self-denial with the deliverance of such an unwelcome message

  759. with the Jews, they refused to, they were in denial.

  760. There are people today that are in denial. There are

  761. people that know and are in denial. There are people

  762. that know him, but refuse to worship him. They refuse

  763. to run the race. But Paul, again I say, when

  764. you look at Paul's life, it was like.

  765. He was sinning.

  766. Paul said, he called himself a chief sinner.

  767. I'm top-down.

  768. I'm the top dollar seller. Y'all ain't better than me.

  769. You ain't better than me, brother Thompson. I don't care

  770. what you did.

  771. I'm cheap, sir.

  772. Yeah.

  773. You hear me?

  774. Paul said, I'm cheap, sir. But I'm absolutely now dedicated.

  775. You know what Paul did? He just switched masters. He

  776. didn't change his ways. He just switched masters. He switched masters,

  777. you and me.

  778. Then his nature changed and his ways became righteous.

  779. He was absolutely dedicated to serving the church and prosecuting.

  780. The sin and prosecuting the church.

  781. He was prosecuting the church. He was absolutely dedicated in it.

  782. But on the road to Damascus, when Jesus Christ knocked

  783. him off that horse and he got up off his

  784. feet and Jesus dusted him.

  785. Off, set him on a different path.

  786. Showed him how glad he was, gave him sight again

  787. so he could see the right thing. Y'all know what

  788. I'm saying. Now he's absolutely dedicated to doing what the

  789. Lord wanted him to do. To serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

  790. My priorities, my values, my faithfulness, my completion is in you.

  791. Can the church say amen? I'm done. Paul was fully persuaded.

  792. We got to get that in us. Paul was fully

  793. persuaded because he didn't allow any distraction. He didn't allow

  794. himself to get at the heart. I mean, when the

  795. ship wrecked and they were floating around, Paul was fully persuaded.

  796. Y'all calm down. We're going to make it. Don't worry

  797. about the storm. We're going to make it through the storm.

  798. We good. Then they made it through the storm, made

  799. it to land. And the aliens on the ground.

  800. And they met a fire.

  801. And out of a fire, a serpent jumps up and

  802. snaps on to him. And he said, holy ghost, shake

  803. it off. And the serpent tried to catch the serpent.

  804. He was evil.

  805. That's why he had to throw it at them.

  806. Shake it off. He shook it off.

  807. And then the people on the island was watching hard

  808. like this.

  809. Because they knew the snake that bit him was very venomous.

  810. And they were waiting for him to swell up and die.

  811. But the Holy Ghost shook it off.

  812. You can shake it off. I don't care what color.

  813. You can shake it off. Pack it under your feet

  814. and I like what Isaiah said about the dust.

  815. I'm going to be talking about the dust from now on.

  816. Put that under your feet.
