  1. Oh my god.

  2. Please God.

  3. My uh this chapter is on is 2nd Samuel 7th chapter.

  4. And in this chapter, you know, I've always wondered when was when was uh David gonna reign, even though God had anointed him and and oh and prophesied over him then not prophesied but anointed him.

  5. You know, God can anoint you, but your time to reign may take years later, and it did.

  6. You know, I was like, when is David gonna sit on the on a throne and be king?

  7. Well, well, David became king after Saul died.

  8. Saul died, he served, he reigned 40 years in Israel, Saul did before he passed away.

  9. And during that that same year, that's when David became king over Judah.

  10. The same year.

  11. He reigned over Judah for seven years and six months, and and before coming king over all Israel, he reigned over Judah and Israel, which lasted for 33 years.

  12. Now there's only two characters in this chapter, and that's David, who was the second king over all Israel and Judah, and Nathan.

  13. Nathan is a prophet of God that have several interactions, with David.

  14. And I'm I read that David's house was in Jerusalem.

  15. Amen.

  16. Now David, he he he felt bad that God's Ark of they brought the Ark of the Covenant back, but he felt bad that the Ark of the Covenant was kept in a tent.

  17. But he lived in a house of splendor and cedar.

  18. And he felt that God should have been in something as such, you know, instead of the Ark of the Covenant being in a tent.

  19. But Nathan, who was a prophet, he suggested to uh to David something needed to be done.

  20. You know, David suggested to Nathan that something needed to be done to remedy the problem.

  21. But that night God spoke to Nathan and gave him a message for David, and God did not need physical house for himself.

  22. He did not want David wanted to build him a covenant, but that's not what God wanted because if we remember, our thoughts are not God's thoughts, and our ways are not his ways.

  23. So, but but David felt that it was in his heart that it was it was up to him to build some type of a scripture, not a scripture, but a covenant for God.

  24. But anyway, God spoke to Nathan and he told him, He said, I you know, this is not what I asked for.

  25. You know, he said, God did not need a physical house for himself, not once in all the the trance of the time Israel had lived in the promised land.

  26. He had commanded one to build God, did not want David to create the covenant for him.

  27. So rather than David building a house, God promised to build David a house.

  28. Wasn't that awesome?

  29. And and my topic for this is God's promises.

  30. Now remember, there had been plenty of chaos and war and conflict in the past with David.

  31. He went through so much with the anointing being on him, and there's times that he he disobeyed.

  32. I mean, he didn't do what God wanted him to do, but but God reminded him.

  33. He said, All the times that you were going through what you were going through, I was there.

  34. And he protected him of everything that he went through, even though he was in fear and running from Saul because Saul wanted him to dead.

  35. God was there.

  36. Even when David was in a cave with many men, five, 400 or 500 men, maybe 600 men in a cave, and and Saul and his men were there too, that that's a God thing.

  37. I mean, how could you be in a cave with that many people and Saul is up front and don't know that you're there?

  38. That is definitely a God thing.

  39. And and to remember that you let David let Saul know that you know I could I could have taken your life, but when he cut a piece of his his garment, his hem of his garment, and he cut a piece, but you you don't want to kill the king because God anointed him, even though the anointing was taken away from Saul, he didn't uh that's something that you just don't do.

  40. But if you remember, uh, even when Minister Tony spoke to us, God keeps his promises.

  41. And in this chapter, he promises uh David all the things that he should have had while he went through the turmoil and agony with Saul being able to trying to take his life.

  42. Now I'm gonna read it.

  43. First chapter.

  44. Now it came to pass when the king sat in his house, and the Lord had given his rest.

  45. This is uh in the end, King James Version, uh, in his house, and the Lord had given him rest round about from all his enemies.

  46. And that the king said unto Nathan, the prophet, see now I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of government of God dwelleth within curtains, a tent, in other words.

  47. And Nathan said to the king, Go do all that is in your thine heart, for the Lord is with you.

  48. And it came to pass that night that the word of the Lord came into Nathan, saying, Go tell my servant David, thus said the Lord, Shall thou build me a house for me to dwell in, whereas I have not dwelt dealt in a house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle in all places where I have walked with all children of Israel, spake and I in a word with any of the tribes of Israel whom I commanded to free my people, saying, Why build you know me a house of cedar?

  49. Why put me in that?

  50. Now, therefore, so shall thou so shall thy say unto the servant David, thus said the Lord of hosts, I took thee from the from the sheep goat.

  51. He's letting him know all the things that he was with him during the anointing.

  52. He took, he said, I took you from the sheep goat.

  53. He was with him then, even when Samuel came to say that this is the anointed one, the one that that his father was hiding in in the field, keep watching over the sheep.

  54. He said, I took you from the sheep goat from following the sheep to be rule over the people and over Israel.

  55. Don't let me go over.

  56. Okay, 611.

  57. And but the the key of this is that God made them a promise.

  58. He made a promise to Israel.

  59. He said, you know, he let Israel know that I will protect you.

  60. It's a beautiful prayer that he sent to us, God's promises.

  61. He said that see if I can find it.

  62. He said that I will I will protect you from all of the nation, all of the nations, the rules that think the conflict of the enemy that wants to tear down Israel.

  63. Israel is God's baby, so to speak.

  64. That is his anointed place.

  65. And he he said that I will protect them, all of the children, all of the nations, I will protect them.

  66. And he told David that I will make your sons rulers of all.

  67. I mean, he gave him a promise that is so blessed that was it, just that gave me chills.

  68. And I, as I read that, I said, Well, you know, God is professing to David all the things, the promises that he will give us.

  69. And if we if we remember, the promise of God to us is a rainbow.

  70. He lets us know that he's gonna for every promise that he gave us is gonna come to pass, as Minister Tony mentioned last night.

  71. You know, it's gotta come to pass because God is a God that do not lie.

  72. So we um when God blessed David and told him all the things that he was gonna do for him, that for Israel, his children, children would become king edges, but uh swumps all over me.

  73. Because as I read that, I noticed that the things that God had promised David, you know, when God when God promised something to you, it's not just for one person, it's for everybody.

  74. And the promise that he gave David, he'll give to us.

  75. He'll give us a promise.

  76. So I thank God for for his promises.

  77. And if we just remain in faith, then then we can obtain those things as well.

  78. But the key of this is we don't want to rush God.

  79. We don't want to do something that God did not uh profess us to do or even allow us to do.

  80. He did not mention that he wanted a covenant built.

  81. So we have to wait on God.

  82. We have to realize that if we wait on God, it was seven years that David was professed as king, even while he had his anointing on his life, but God was watching him, even though God speaks to your heart about something, you know, you can still uh have the anointing on you, but not have developed in what God have for you.

  83. So it's important when God gives us an answer, and it may not be right away.

  84. It may He waited seven years before uh David sat in the chair and as king.

  85. I'm like, wow, you know, you ask God for something, but you know he's gonna answer.

  86. But the key is is to wait on him.

  87. Don't take things apart yourself because there's so much.

  88. So if we wait on God, we can have so much more.

  89. It could have been a different direction, a different angle, not what we think it should be.

  90. So be careful when we ask God for something, make sure that He has answered you, He has given you His plan.

  91. You can tell when it's God's plan because everything that He professed to you, if you're in it, you're in the promise of Him, everything will go just as planned.

  92. Nothing will be rejected, everything will go smooth, you'll know that it is God.

  93. Even times now, we we see little miracles that God performs in our life.

  94. We're like, we know God, only God did that.

  95. So as I um begin to close, um I just want to say that wait on God.

  96. Don't allow yourself to think that it's God and move forward in your own ways.

  97. Allow God to move with you.

  98. And I think it is time for me to yield.

  99. Amen.

  100. I like your hair color, Allegra.
