  1. Gracious and everlasting Father, we thank you so much for

  2. another opportunity to commune with you in your word. We ask,

  3. O God, that let your word transform us, let your

  4. word mold us, that we become like you. In Jesus'

  5. name have we prayed with thanksgiving. Amen. Amen. Coming your

  6. way this morning with our devotion is Pastor and Mrs.

  7. Bruce Smith from Harvest Chapel International, Denyamiku, Marseille. Beloved, let

  8. us take our confession from Joshua chapter 1 verse 8.

    Joshua 1:8

  9. Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. This book of the law shall.

    Joshua 1:8

  10. Not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate

  11. in it day and night, that I may observe to

  12. do according to all that is written in it. For

  13. then I will make my way prosperous, and then I

  14. will have good success.

  15. Amen. Our theme for today is Don't Walk Away. Don't

  16. Walk Away. Our scripture reading will be taken from 2

    2 Corinthians 4:5–18

  17. Corinthians 4, verse 5 to 18. 2 Corinthians 4, verse

    2 Corinthians 4:5–18

  18. 5 to 18. And I'll be reading from the NIV.

  19. For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ

  20. as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.

  21. For God who said, Let light shine out of darkness,

  22. may this light shine in our hearts to give us

  23. the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in

  24. the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in

  25. jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is

  26. from God and not from us. We are hard pressed

  27. on every side, but not crushed, perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted,

  28. but not abandoned, struck down, but not destroyed. We always

  29. carry around in our bodies the death of Christ, so

  30. that the life of Jesus may be revealed in our body.

  31. For we who are alive are always being given over

  32. to death for Jesus' sake, so that we His life

  33. may also be revealed in our mortal body. So then,

  34. death is at work in us, but life is at

  35. work in you. It is written, I believe, therefore I

  36. have spoken. Since we have that same spirit of faith,

  37. we also believe and therefore speak, because we know that

  38. the one who raised the Lord Jesus from death would

  39. also raise us with Jesus and present us with you

  40. to himself. All this is for your benefit, so that

  41. the grace that is reaching more and more people may

  42. cause stands given to overflow to the glory of God. Therefore,

  43. we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away,

  44. yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For

  45. our light and our momentary troubles are achieving for us

  46. an eternal glory That far outweighs them all. So we

  47. fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what

  48. is unseen. Since what is seen is temporal, but what

  49. is unseen is eternal. This is the reading of the word.

  50. Thanks be to God. Don't walk away. The Cambridge Dictionary

  51. defines walk away as to stop being involved in a

  52. situation because it is difficult to deal with or does

  53. not give you any advantages. Pause for a moment. Has

  54. there been a time where you ever considered the thought

  55. of walking away? What was the cause of this decision? Beloved,

  56. let us consider these two scenarios. The first scenario. You

  57. insert your ATM card into an ATM. You key in

  58. the details of your transaction. You take your ATM card out.

  59. And whilst the money is being counted to be dispensed,

  60. you walk away complaining and crying because you think you

  61. have spent too much time. The second scenario, you submit

  62. your completed cash withdrawal slip to the teller at the

  63. bank and just when she confirms the details and is

  64. about counting and handing over your cash to you, you

  65. turn around to leave because you think she has delayed.

  66. What would be your impression of someone who engaged in

  67. any of these two scenarios? Sadly, most believers find themselves

  68. in similar situations. You hear people say, I used to

  69. sing in the choir. I used to be a member

  70. of the prayer tower. I used to be a tight payer.

  71. I used to be very dedicated in the house of God, etc.,

  72. Most often than not, the underlining cause of this I

  73. used to syndrome is disappointment. A feeling that God has

  74. failed us after all we have done for him and

  75. after all our commitment to his cause. It can be

  76. very difficult and challenging when after all the fasting, after

  77. all the prayers, the confessions, the giving, seed sowing, attending

  78. church meetings and paying every price that you can think of,

  79. that one thing on your heart, that desire and legitimate

  80. need you have been asking God for, still seems to

  81. elude you. We are tempted to throw in the towel

  82. and conclude that it does not work. We are tempted

  83. to give up on that dream or request, and sometimes

  84. we are even pushed to give up on the faith

  85. and on God entirely. The truth of the matter is that,

  86. usually in these situations, our answers and breakthroughs are nearer

  87. than we think. As the saying goes, the darkest hour

  88. is just before the dawn. In the field of chemistry,

  89. there is a common laboratory method of analysis known as

  90. titration or titrimetry. In simple terms, this analytical method is

  91. used to determine the quantity of a substance called analyte

  92. by adding measured increments of another substance which is the

  93. titrant until the equivalence point is achieved. The equivalence point

  94. is usually noticed by a color change. The total volume

  95. of the titrant that caused the color change is usually

  96. recorded and used in the calculation for determining the quantity

  97. of the analyte. The interesting thing about this method is that,

  98. to the observer, it seems just a single drop of

  99. the titrant is responsible for the color change or equivalence point.

  100. But remember, in the definition, we mentioned that the titrant

  101. was added in measured increment. Hence, the color change is

  102. as a result of the cumulative volume, not just that

  103. drop that visibly changed the color after dropping into the analyte.

  104. Without the previous drops, the change would never have occurred. Beloved,

  105. this same principle has been set in motion on Earth.

  106. Genesis chapter 8 verse 22 says, As long as the

    Genesis 8:22

  107. earth endures, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer

  108. and winter, day and night, will never cease. This is

  109. God's verdict, that as long as this earth remains, as

  110. long as we find ourselves here on earth, there would

  111. always be a time to sow and a time to

  112. harvest what was sown. Once we sow, we would reap

  113. a harvest for sure, no matter how long it takes.

  114. Precious one, the fasting and prayers, the consistent study of

  115. the word, the giving, making it for church meetings and

  116. commitments to God's work is never in vain. God is

  117. not unjust or an unrighteous God to forget your work

  118. and labor of love, which you have shown toward his name,

  119. as stated in Hebrews chapter 6 verse 10. Just like

    Hebrews 6:10

  120. in titrimetry, all these acts of service serve as drops

  121. and sooner than later, the next drop will be the

  122. one to provoke that miracle and breakthrough you have been

  123. waiting for. Hallelujah! Remember Cornelius in Acts chapter 10. He

    Acts 10 chapter mention

  124. was a devout man and one that feared God with

  125. all his house. He gave much alms to the people

  126. and prayed to God always. Little did he know that

  127. these simple acts of love had gone up for a

  128. memorial before God. And when the time was ripe, God

  129. visited him and his entire family and loved ones.

  130. Amen.

  131. Amen. God richly bless you for partaking in our morning

  132. glory devotion. We shall take our memory verse from Galatians

    Galatians 6:9

  133. chapter 6 verse 9. Galatians chapter 6 verse 9. I

    Galatians 6:9

  134. read from the ISV. Let's not get tired of doing

  135. what is good, for at the right time, we will

  136. reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians

    Galatians 6:9

  137. chapter 6 verse 9. Let's not get tired of doing

  138. what is good, for at the right time we will

  139. reap a harvest if we do not give up.

  140. Amen.

  141. Let's share a word of prayer. Thank you, Father, for

  142. your word today. We acknowledge the tendency to give up

  143. at times, especially when you seem far away and untouched

  144. with our daily cries. We, however, choose to believe in

  145. you as a caring Father. Grant us the grace to

  146. hold on when things get tough and be grounded in

  147. your truth, that you, who have begun a good work

  148. in us, will carry it on to completion until the

  149. day of Christ.

  150. Amen.

  151. The darkest hour is just before the dawn. Don't be

  152. discouraged by what you are going through. Don't walk away

  153. on the seat you are soon. Your harvest time is near.

  154. God bless you, beloved, for being a part of today's devotion.

  155. Catch you at 12 p.m. for lunch hour prayer and

  156. at 6 a.m. tomorrow for start-up prayer and at 6.30

  157. for another time in His Word. Have a blessed day. Shalom.
