-
Today, as we pause our schedules and our lives, our job is to listen to our Heavenly Father.
-
Let's each find a quiet spot to get away with the one who loves us.
-
1 Peter 4 is a passage written to a church community.
-
Peter's instruction in verse 10 says, use whatever gift you have received to serve others.
-
Every gift, talent, and personality God has given you can become a way of caring for someone else.
-
Whether it's listening, serving, encouraging, or helping behind the scenes, your gifts matter in God's kingdom, and we carry God's kingdom wherever we go.
-
We each have so many areas we need to grow, change, and mature in.
-
We know this.
-
But would you thank your creator for how he created you and glorify him in your heart?
-
A humble perspective of ourselves is not just thinking less of ourselves, but rather having right, accurate perspective of who we are in him.
-
This might feel odd at first, but would you take 20 seconds and thank God for the unique ways he has created you?
-
Ask God to show you where your gifts can meet someone else's needs.
-
Invite Him to replace hesitation with willingness.
-
Pray that your life would become a channel of His love to your family, your neighbors, to your church community, to those in your world you may have never considered or taken note of.
-
Sometimes while we are right in the middle of serving others, we have to get a lot of people.
