I have a word for you.

It might look like it's being delayed, but it will come to pass.

It will come to pass.

Amen.

It's easy when we ask and we get.

Amen.

And because we know he can do it.

And again, it doesn't help that we are in a generation that we like it now, fast and immediate.

Amen.

But what do you do when it seems like you've prayed and you've done everything you know to do?

And the answer still don't show up.

It's so easy to believe God when the answer comes quickly.

What happens when we begin to pray and it's like nothing is changing?

What do you do when God has spoken and yet the manifestation has not yet come?

Where do you go from there?

What do you do when you've prayed?

And you know he didn't say no.

But somehow it's beginning to look like it's not the answer, is not yet.

Amen.

And we need to understand that waiting is not the absence of faith, it is actually faith in action.

Because it's easy when I say I'm gonna give you two hundred dollars.

Because in your mind, look at it.

If I say two thousand, no doubt.

Hallelujah.

Amen.

Twenty thousand.

Two hundred thousand, two million.

You will doubt.

Because in your mind, you're thinking.

Even if you had two million, why would she give it to me?

Now you begin to doubt yourself.

20 million.

It's not my problem.

It is not the problem of the giver.

It is usually the problem of the receiver.

Because you are the one.

The Bible talks about the Jews.

He said you will looked at them, and in our own eyes, we're like grasshoppers.

I'm here to meet a human being that looks as small as grasshoppers.

And I've been walking this phase.

Amen.

I digress because that was not actually where I was.

But for the most part, when we receive the promise of God, when doubt begins to arise, it's not because of the person or the capacity of God.

It's usually because we look at ourselves and we begin to find excuses why we should not or why it cannot happen.

Or you begin to rationalize why it should not even happen.

Anyway, back to where um to my message.

Stop looking at yourself to measure what I can do for you.

Stop looking at your experiences to measure what is possible when it comes to a relationship with me.

Amen.

Amen.

So back to waiting by faith.

Number one, waiting does not mean God has forgotten forgotten you.

One of the greatest battles when we begin to wait, when we are in that season of waiting, as believers, as children of the most high God, to begin to think, has he forgotten?

Will he come?

True for me.

Will it even happen anymore?

I remember back in the day, don't date myself because it was back in the day when stuff was just coming out.

So there was this certain fine young man that husband.

So he said to me, it was a very special day in my life, but my birthday said, after work, I will come and pick you up.

So as work started, because it's birthday, and you know, Facebook and everybody they will tell everybody that it's your birthday.

People started coming to the to my office.

The first guy came, he says, Ah, Kemi, it's 12 and I know it's your birthday.

You know, I want to take you out.

I'm walking through lunch.

Because in my mind, in the evening, what is gonna happen?

I'm going out.

So I said no.

After the guy was about to, a secretary came to me and said, Ah, Kemi, what's going on?

This guy said we want to take you out.

What is your problem?

I have no problem.

I have a problem.

So the guy went.

2 p.m.

Another one showed up.

It's your birthday, you know.

This is Amen.

Because there are people in your life that you think are your friends, they're actually frenemies.

This woman came again, major, married.

Let me show something is not wrong with you.

It's what I mean.

Did the guy say you should follow him to his house?

I said no.

He said, So why did he just go?

Because promise, evening is coming.

So carried his.

I collected the and he went.

Because it would be take the flower away.

Anyway, long story short, 4 30.

Nobody showed up.

5 p.m.

when the office was closing.

People started carrying their bag one by one by one.

I was forcing myself to continue to work.

Nobody showed up.

5 30.

Nobody showed up.

6 p.m.

Secretary was going home.

Emily, do you want to lock the door?

I think there was no way to call to find out.

Did you have a flat tire?

Are you coming?

Did you forget me?

Am I supposed to wait here all night long?

Everything.

6 30.

Nobody showed up.

7 p.m.

Finally, my brethren.

He showed up.

Hallelujah.

Amen.

And I was turned between upset to say what did you do?

What did you put me through today?

And but you know, there is a way you show up and you show up.

And then all the anger.

I mean, the rest they say is history.

That's why we are married, and then five children 20 years after.

Amen.

So I'm saying that God always shows up.

It might not be the time you want.

You know, it would have been nice if He showed up when everybody was in the office and he came with all the comments, and you know, everybody sees that he's here and I feel like the bear.

That didn't happen.

That is the way I would have preferred it.

So I'm saying that sometimes we have a preference for how we want God to work.

We have a design, we've written it down step by step, after it has to be B, then C, then D, then E.

Time.

God doesn't show up that way.

But when He shows up, child of God, He shows up.

Amen.

So wait for it.

Wait for Him.

Wait by faith, nothing wavering.

Because Isaiah chapter 49 tells us in verse 15 that can a woman forget a nursing child and not have compassion on the son of her womb.

Isaiah 49 · chapter mention

Then God remembers that some people will forget.

Then he quickly says, Surely they may.

I will not forget you.

Have you not seen mothers that forget their babies?

Yeah.

The silence of God does not mean the absence of God.

The fact that the silence is quiet doesn't mean God is not on the scene.

That doesn't mean God is not walking in your life.

That doesn't mean He has forgotten you.

That doesn't mean He doesn't love you.

There are things that God is doing behind the scenes that you cannot see.

Think about Joseph.

God said to him, or he had a dream, they will bow down.

And the young man thought, uh-uh, life is already good.

Father loves me, mother loves me.

These my siblings that are jealous, they are coming to bow.

But there was a process, there was a pit, there was slavery, there was prison.

Eventually, and in his mind, he was looking for how many people to bow to him.

Touch, we are Bible scholars.

How many people was he thinking were going to bow in that dream?

How many people eventually bowed?

Patients.

That is the power of waiting.

Because if this if that dream had happened immediately, you would have had only 13.

But the point I'm saying is sometimes the delay brings the increase.

So from a family of 13, 12 bowing, became nations bowing to the promise was immediate, but the process was sometimes the greatest work God does is in that waiting season.

The work that He does in you.

So, church, waiting does not mean God has forgotten.

Number two, waiting is not being passive, it's not passivity.

Waiting does not mean sitting down and doing nothing.

Biblical waiting means trusting God where we remain obedient and we remain killed into Him.

Remember, um TPT says, let me read, let me go back there.

Verse 31.

He says, Those for those who entwine their hearts with Yahweh, they will experience divine strength.

So while waiting, we keep building, we keep trusting, we keep we we become grounded and deeper in him.

While Noah was waiting for the flood, what was he doing?

Building the ark.

When David was waiting for the throne, he kept serving.

While Joseph was waiting for the palace, he remained faithful even in prison.

Faith waits, but faith also works.

So while you're waiting, what should you do?

You keep working, you keep praying, you keep serving, you keep learning, you keep preparing, you keep obeying, you keep your heart in the right direction, and you keep moving in the direction God has given you.

You may not be able to control when the promise actually comes, but you can control how you prepare for it.

You can control the kind of person you will be when that promise eventually happens.

Amen.

So waiting doesn't mean we're passive.

And number three, God's timing is part of God's plan.

God's timing is part of God's plan.

For most of us, we will be very grateful for the promise without the process.

Right?

But sometimes timing is part of that miracle.

Look at Abraham.

He waited and waited, and today we it becomes a precedent to say, even if a man is 100 years old, God can still do it.

Because we've seen him what?

Do it before.

Amen.

You have to have confidence.

Confidence in God.

Not in the timeline, but confidence in the God who has given you the promise.

If God has said it, time cannot cancel it.

And the fact that it's taking longer than your MVC doesn't mean that God has changed his mind.

Amen.

Number four, I love this a lot.

Waiting builds spiritual muscle.

Most of the time we don't like waiting because what?

It stretches us.

And like I said, we have our own agenda, our preference of the sequence and the order that these things should happen.

But what if that waiting is actually designed to strengthen you?

The Bible connects waiting and strength as long as your heart is intertwined with God.

I want us to look at this picture on the screen.

There are a number of things happening there.

And God bless media because it was very prophetic.

What do we see?

The big, the big ball of you know that time thing, when you turn it out, the sand begins to drop, measuring time.

But we see in there there is a human being standing.

What is he doing?

He's holding an umbrella.

Without the umbrella, what do you think will happen to him?

You'll be blinded by the sand.

And when you're blinded, you cannot see anything, you cannot understand anything.

Most likely, you cannot even hear anything because you'll be self-focused on what's happening to me.

But that umbrella is holding up.

That is faith right there.

That is what shields you from the effects, negative effects of the waiting.

That is what keeps you from being blinded.

That's what keeps you from being buried.

Faith while we wait.

So as the sand is coming, as the time is passing, is using that time as a stepping stone.

Because as the sand comes, you have to rise up, you have to keep moving, you have to move your legs.

That process of waiting, while you hold on to your faith, it will teach you patience because you will learn that not everything happens immediately.

You will learn endurance to keep going when things become difficult, to learn discernment, so that you distinguish between God's voice and your own impatience.

And very importantly, we learn character.

Because the character of a man is not known when everything is going good.

Your real person comes up when we face challenges and we face difficulties.

And yes, the Lord has said to us that this is our year of goodness.

He has said to us that we are taking territories.

We have promises upon promises upon promises.

Some of them we already experienced, some are still coming.

Amen.

But as you wait, you become the person that is capable of carrying what you're praying for.

Sometimes we're praying, God, give me this blessing.

And God is saying, Let me prepare you for the blessing.

And you're wondering, but everybody's getting theirs.

Where is mine?

Child of God, he says you're special.

I remember again a little bit of story.

Two of my boys, one of them, before he was eight months, he started talking.

Like he was so verbal, you could say anything.

But nine months, ten months, eleven months, one year, this boy refused to walk.

It became a problem to them in school.

And they would say, Hey, Mrs.

Woolabi, we've been trying, you know, why is it not working?

Why is it this one?

See 13 months.

He didn't work.

14 not work.

I said, Look at me.

You've seen me come here every day.

They say, Yes.

Have you seen his dad?

They say yes.

Are we walking?

They say yes.

And walk, he did.

He's still walking.

Not only did he walk, he walked, he ran, he drove, he's doing everything.

Amen.

The second one.

I don't even think he was eight months before he started walking.

I refused to talk.

Didn't he?

His word was sort of like even honestly.

At some point, I began to wonder myself that what's going on here?

Same parents, same home.

Roger, same circumstances, the same training.

I did not carry worker for one at on five.

Denied him of it.

Or Canada or the world.

Amen.

So I'm saying to you that it's not beyond wise comparing ourselves to other people.

Look at her.

She's already married.

Why am I not married?

Look at her.

She's married.

She has 24 children.

Why don't I have mine?

Look at her.

Look at him.

Two cars, three cars, four cars.

They came to Canada within one month.

Everything is happening.

Papa, look at me.

Yes.

Look at you.

He knows your name.

The ear on your head is numbered, is what the scripture says to us.

He has not forgotten you.

He has a plan for you.

He has a unique plan for you.

Amen.

Amen.

Maybe for one.

The ministry God has called her to is to bless nations by herself.

And her children will go into the ministry or into let's say we go into commerce.

But for you, he has given you the one, the one child and become a minister to the world.

You think it's going to be the same birth?

No.

No, church.

I'm not saying one is better than the other.

I'm saying your own is your own.

And God knows your name.

He knows your story.

In fact, he's the one writing your story.

Stop comparing.

And don't let delay make you make a wrong decision.

Because that is the danger of impatience.

Because you become tired, begin to look for alternatives.

Abraham and Sarah, classical example.

Today the world is still feeling that single decision.

Never allow the pressure of waiting to push you outside the will of God.

Don't make permanent decisions based on temporary frustrations.

Let me say that again.

Don't make permanent decisions based on temporary frustrations.

Don't abandon your assignment because the results are slow.

And don't compromise your values because the opportunity has not yet come.

Don't settle because you're tired of waiting.

Yes, waiting will test your faith, but impatience will ruin your destiny.

Waiting requires that you watch your word.

This is very powerful.

That is why, as a church, we believe in declare.

Because we know as we say it, what happens?

It comes to pass.

We have it.

Bible says the power of life is in your tongue.

Life and death.

Use it properly.

So one day you're not saying, Yes, God will do it.

And the next time you're saying, Ah, I don't even know if what God is doing anymore, Jarry.

Nothing ever works for me.

Every time it comes to my tongue, everything scatters.

And they have to react.

Watch your tongue, child of God.

Be careful.

Yes, the circumstances may be.

People may be looking at you, but your words speak louder in the ears of God.

So watch what David says in the book of Psalm 27, verse 13 and 14.

Psalms 27:13

I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Therefore, he says, What?

Church together, let's go.

Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and he shall do what?

Wait, I say, on the Lord.

I almost gave up, but I chose to be.

Wait on the Lord.

Be of good courage, and God will strengthen your heart.

He's not wasting your time.

Let this season of waiting be a season of development and growth.

Let character be developed.

Let capacity be developed.

Let wisdom be developed.

Let your relationship with people and him, of course, be developed.

Let your faith be developed.

So what should we do while we wait?

While we wait for God?

While we wait on him, while we wait, expecting that his promises will come to pass.

Keep your relationship with God strong.

Rest in the Lord and wait patiently.

Don't let disappointment drive you far away from God.

Think about it.

If you've been praying and he gave you a promise, and you're waiting for the promise, and because the promise is being delayed, you're now just to do what?

Stay away from God.

Please tell me, how does that even make sense?

So again, to start on Lu, I said I'll give you, let's say, with$2,000 now.

Okay.

I'll give her$2,000.

And in our mind, when do you think you will get it?

Let me go to somebody else.

When do you think in your mind KD will give it to you?

Today.

So today, up until 11:59 p.m.

But what happens when 1159 comes?

Don't forget that money.

They don't want it enough.

You know everybody that has automatic um deposit on their account.

Let's say she doesn't, and she's expected to see the email and click and put the password.

And she didn't see it.

And it's possible because somebody sent me an email last night.

I did not even when I saw it yes, I just I just started shouting, only wow, only wow.

But what is how it's possible?

He says, and her mom says, Nami, you're not going greet PKT by force by fire, like church.

That is why we come to church, so that we get encouraged, so that by force by fire you stay in God, and then she comes to greet me.

Say, Senami, my darling.

So, what did you buy with the money?

Which money?

But I the money that night, but I didn't see anything.

Open your email, and then we open the email, and the money is sitting down there.

Sometimes that is how it works with us, God.

Honestly, he does, in fact, it does not have the capacity to lie.

So if he has said it, let your heart be strong, let your faith arise, let your heart be intertwined with God.

Something is intertwined.

If you're gonna pull it apart, there's gonna be blood.

Your heart be stayed, let it stay with God.

Keep your faith active, continue to pray and believe and prepare.

If you're praying for a business, prepare for the business.

Read, learn.

In turn, if you're praying for leadership, develop your leadership capacity.

If you're praying for ministry, develop spiritual capacity.

If you're praying for financial increase, develop financial wisdom and guard your heart.

Don't let the secretaries of this world push you to someone to yours.

Don't let bitterness, jealousy, comparison, and offense, you know, there is I can't remember who said so, but it says anybody that you meet that is not a believer is because of one or two things.

Either they have not met a Christian, or they have met a Christian.

Let me say that.

Either they have not met a Christian, or let's say, let's not say not a believer, they have never heard of Jesus, or they say that that Jesus either they have never met a believer that would point them in the direction, or they've met a believer that if this is how your Jesus let me stay the way I to guard your heart, don't let offense in any case.

What will you do if you leave Christ?

Where will you go?

He says, To whom shall we go?

You alone have the words of eternal life.

Sometimes I wonder how do people even survive without the hope, without the faith.

That comes in from believing.

Let bitterness, don't let jealousy rob you of your blood.

My friend God has when she was 25.

Why am I still like this?

See our neighbor.

In fact, we moved here before them.

Siblings, friends, church members.

Remember that different people have different seasons.

Someone else's testimony is not an evidence that God has abandoned you.

And don't turn someone's harvest season into a reason that you despise your own planting season.

Amen.

Don't let the season of harvest of someone, because they are harvesting rice, and you're supposed to plant your cocoa, and you look at them having a scene there, and you're like, ah, people are already having what am I doing with my life?

Amen.

Don't let someone else have a make you planting.

Everything there is a time under.

And remember, finally, that every waiting will have an end, every season has an end.

Abaku chapter 2, verse 3 says the vision, the promise of an appointed time, but at the end it will speak and it will not lie, even though it tarries.

Wait, wait for it, because what it will surely come.

There is an appointed time.

The vision may be delayed.

God is saying what?

Wait for it.

So perhaps you've been praying for a long time.

For a marriage, for a child, a job, a business, financial breakthrough, healing, ministerial assignment.

You're praying for a family member.

You're praying for a dream.

You're praying for a promise.

You are saying, God, how long?

God is not late.

He's not confused.

He didn't take your packet to another person's house.

He has not forgotten you.

He didn't lose your address.

He has not misplaced your prayers.

And he has not changed his character.

Our responsibility is not to figure out when God will do it.

Our responsibility is to remain faithful while we wait for it.

Faithful in the seasons that we are in.

Faithful when we're trusting God to come through for us.

Because in will, it does not fail.

I have been young now.

I am old.

I have never seen the righteous forsaken or his seedback bread.

And as surely as heaven is and earth is, the promises, the promises, the promises of God for you will come to pass.

Amen.

I know God will do it.

So let's wait for.

Let's wait for God.

Remember that those promises are not really the promise.

The child is not the real promise.

The husband is not the real promise.

The financial breakthrough is not the real promise.

That is not the real gift there.

The real promise is your relationship with God.

It's you waiting on God.

God is the is the real.

Um, what's the word now?

Amen.

It's God.

So keep believing, keep obeying.

Wait for Him.

Declare with me, I will wait on the Lord.

I can't hear you.

I will wait on the Lord.

I will not allow delay to destroy my faith.

I will not compromise while I'm waiting.

I will not compare my journey with the journey of another.

I will trust God's timing.

I will remain obedient.

I will prepare while I wait.

I will not lose heart.

I believe God is working, even though I cannot say it.

My faith will become stronger as I wait.

All the promises he made to you the beginning of this year, that you will see his goodness, that he will enlarge your coast, that he will bless your household, he will bring it to pass.

And I know as shortly as God lives, that you will testify, the family will be reunited, the papers will come, the yeses will come, the increase will come, the abundance will come, our faith will increase in the name of Jesus, and we'll sing that song.

But rise up with me, let's think.

Come and see what God has done, what we waited for, because we're singing by faith.
