  1. Welcome to NECF Sermons. Each message here is

  2. designed to uplift and strengthen you in your

  3. walk with God. Don't miss out. Stay with us until

  4. the end for a rewarding experience. Let's dive

  5. right in. The way we respond to the things of

  6. God and to the things of the Spirit is subject

  7. to the level of revelation we have about God.

  8. So sometimes when you see yourself not responding

  9. well to the things of the Spirit or to the things

  10. that pertain to life and godliness, you should

  11. begin to perceive that you need to pay attention

  12. to the words that you have received. That those

  13. words, that you receive them as revelation, that

  14. you get into the revelation of every teaching

  15. that you have received. That our attitude towards

  16. God our attitude towards the things of God, our

  17. attitude towards prayer, our attitude towards

  18. studying the Word, tells us how much, I would

  19. say, it has become dawn on us who God is and

  20. what the Word of God is and what Christ did and

  21. what we have in Christ and what we can do and

  22. what is to come for us. Let's have our seats.

  23. This morning, the teaching is the revelation

  24. knowledge in Christ. Okay, it's revelation knowledge

  25. in Christ. The revelation knowledge in Christ.

  26. Now, from believers' meeting or believers' conference

  27. that we had, we taught many things about, you

  28. know, apologetics and... How we can become ready

  29. to give an answer for everyone who asks us, you

  30. know, the reason why we believe what and whom

  31. we have believed, right? So we talk about the

  32. reasons. We try to prepare us, right, to be people

  33. who are bold enough to answer questions when

  34. it comes to responding to other people. Who claim

  35. to name the name of the Lord? Are we together?

  36. So, that was what we did in Karatismos. And we

  37. talked about different belief systems and we

  38. tried to correct some things about them. But

  39. I realized that there is a level of revelation

  40. knowledge that we will have. That even with the

  41. little knowledge of God that you have, you know,

  42. I call it little, you will be bold to give an

  43. answer for those who come around you to ask you

  44. about your faith. You see, revelational knowledge

  45. gives us the boldness, right, to be able to stand

  46. and give an answer. concerning our faith in Christ.

  47. It gives us the boldness to be able to give an

  48. answer concerning why we believe what we believe.

  49. Now, apart from evangelism and apologia, one

  50. of the things that revelational knowledge does

  51. to us is it's I don't know how to describe it.

  52. It just gives you this, it gives you zeal. Zeal

  53. and passion for the things of God. Right? When

  54. you get into the revelation and when it becomes

  55. what is being preached to you, when the revelation

  56. is open to you, it gives you zeal and passion

  57. for God. Like you don't struggle to do the things

  58. of God. Like you don't struggle to do the things

  59. of God. You don't struggle to understand who

  60. God is. You don't struggle to understand what

  61. you have. In fact, when circumstances arise in

  62. your life, because of the revelational knowledge

  63. of Christ that you have, are we together? When

  64. circumstances arise, because of the revelational

  65. knowledge that you have, It is easy or easier

  66. to go through circumstances. So you might be

  67. passing through a lot, but people will not perceive

  68. it because you are working in the revelational

  69. knowledge of God because you know who God is.

  70. So you might be passing through circumstances,

  71. but the depth of God's revelation He said that

  72. we will know the love of God that passes all

  73. human understanding. When you understand the

  74. depths, you know, it's not emotional love. When

  75. we talk about the love of God, it's not emotional.

  76. It's not this love that goes and comes. This

  77. love that is unstable. Today, you like the person.

  78. Tomorrow, the person might provoke you and you

  79. would question, why did I love the person in

  80. the first place? Because that is the love of

  81. human. But when it comes to the revelational

  82. knowledge of God as pertaining the love of God,

  83. it is consistent, unchanging. It is stable. So

  84. what does such knowledge does to you? Such knowledge

  85. keeps you stable in circumstances. Right? It

  86. keeps you stable in circumstances. It keeps you

  87. very much stable. In circumstances. Because the

  88. revelational knowledge of God itself is consistent.

  89. Right? Today I'm just laying a foundation of

  90. what we are going to go through or what we are

  91. going to go with or to be taught in the next

  92. two weeks. So, when the revelation helps you

  93. to be stable because the revelational knowledge

  94. of God, it is consistent. It's consistent. So

  95. it means that the believer will become unshakable.

  96. So I have a brother in church and the brother

  97. offends me, right? In my heart, I might begin

  98. to doubt. Do I really love this brother? Or should

  99. this brother even come close to me? Right? So

  100. you doubt, you know, your expression of love.

  101. You begin to question it. But when you remember

  102. the depths of God's love, what do you do? You

  103. forgive. You let offense to pass. You rejoice.

  104. You encourage the brother. You tell the brother

  105. he's authentic. You bring him back. So, the revelation

  106. knowledge is beyond, right, how we feel, how

  107. the excitement goes, but is deeper. Now, in regards

  108. to evangelism, it gives you the zeal to tell

  109. someone about Jesus because over time, right,

  110. and some of us that have gone out to, you know,

  111. preach, you would see a believer, right? When

  112. you're preaching to some believers, you would

  113. wonder, your name is, maybe your name is John,

  114. and the person is asking you and trying to tell

  115. you to explain the resurrection of Jesus. Now,

  116. it's not that they don't know the story. They

  117. can tell you the story. They can tell you how

  118. Jesus was crucified, how he rose again, how he

  119. appeared to his disciples. But they will tell

  120. you to recount it like they don't even understand.

  121. In fact, they don't understand it. It means that

  122. while they know that information, the revelation

  123. of that knowledge is yet to appear to them. Now,

  124. I think it was me and Bra Prince that went to

  125. speak to a guy. The guy is Muslim, right? And

  126. we're speaking to him. And the guy seems to have

  127. here and there, here and there, here and there

  128. information about the Christian faith. And do

  129. you know what the guy told us? Right? The impression

  130. I got from the guy is that some believers don't

  131. even have this information. He does not believe

  132. it. He does not agree with it, but because I

  133. think in their scriptures, it's written that

  134. they should seek knowledge. So in the course

  135. of seeking knowledge, he encountered that knowledge.

  136. So he knows he could explain, right? Of course,

  137. he had some places where he's putting a question

  138. mark and we're trying to explain to him, you

  139. know, that question mark, we can help you remove

  140. it because there's an explanation to it. But

  141. the consistent thing in the statement is that

  142. I have not come into the revelation of this,

  143. so I can't accept it. Right? That was what he

  144. was saying. And consistently we meet people and

  145. they just show that the depth of the revelation

  146. of Christ is yet to be established in them. And

  147. when I mean people, I mean believers. So as believers,

  148. we must be so strong in the revelation of Christ.

  149. We must be so strong. We must be so rich in the

  150. revelation of Christ. You should have abundance.

  151. Right? of scriptures that you can explain. You

  152. know, you cannot just stay at John 3 .16. That's

  153. not good enough. In fact, you cannot be there

  154. because in John 3 .16, you will not be able to

  155. encapsulate all that the scriptures has talked

  156. about. So it should push a zeal for you that

  157. when pastor teaches something here, right, you

  158. are writing it down, going back home to study.

  159. You are hearing a sermon, you don't understand,

  160. you write it down, you go back home to study.

  161. Let it always trigger something in you. Don't

  162. let any knowledge of Christ pass you by. Let

  163. me say that again. Don't let any knowledge about

  164. Christ pass you by. It means that be zealous

  165. to receive the knowledge that you might walk

  166. in revelation. Now, I'm just saying all of these

  167. to tell us the importance of revelational knowledge,

  168. right? The revelational knowledge in Christ,

  169. the importance is so enormous in every area of

  170. our lives. But we teach it, right, with regards

  171. to interpretation of Scripture and other things.

  172. So let's open our Scriptures. Let's open our

  173. Scriptures. 2 Timothy 3, 15. 2 Timothy 3, 15.

  174. It said, and that from childhood, you have known

  175. the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you

  176. wise for salvation, true faith, which is in Christ

  177. Jesus. The next verse. All Scripture is given

  178. by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine,

  179. for reproof, for correction, for instruction

  180. in righteousness. That a man of God may be complete,

  181. thoroughly equipped for every good work. That

  182. a man of God is ready and thoroughly equipped

  183. for every good work. So let's start from this

  184. scripture. Because from this scripture, we would

  185. also understand the importance of the revelation

  186. knowledge in Christ. So let's start. Now he said,

  187. from a childhood thou hast known the Holy Scripture.

  188. Now that word, Holy Scripture, right? Because

  189. we know, some of us know it, is hero's grammar.

  190. And I'm going to explain it, right? I'm going

  191. to explain, take a little bit of time to explain

  192. it. Hero's grammar. Which involves the letters,

  193. the phrases and statements. The letters, the

  194. phrases, and statements that are sacred. Letters,

  195. phrases, and statements that are sacred. Letter,

  196. phrases, statements that are sacred. So, from

  197. a child of doubt known the Holy Scriptures. The

  198. word Holy Scriptures there is Heroes Grammar,

  199. which is H -I -E -R -O -S. Then grammar, G -R

  200. -A -M -M -A. The word holy scriptures there.

  201. H -I -E -R -O -S. That's holy. Then grammar,

  202. which is the scriptures, G -R -A -M -M -A. The

  203. letters, phrases, and statements that are sacred.

  204. Okay? That are sacred. So what does this reflect?

  205. Because Paul was writing to Timothy, right? Will

  206. you be expecting Timothy to have this kind of

  207. a Bible? Please look up. Will Timothy be carrying

  208. this kind of a scripture? No, right? It's impossible.

  209. He won't be carrying this. It means that he will

  210. be carrying probably scrolls, writings of the

  211. whole Testament, right? Timothy will be carrying

  212. scrolls. So it means that those writings, Timothy

  213. is, here he says, known the scriptures. Right?

  214. Timothy knows those writings. He knows those

  215. letters. He knows those statements from the Scriptures.

  216. Are we together? So, Timothy knows those scrolls.

  217. It's like saying Timothy knows the scrolls. He

  218. knows Isaiah. He knows those writings. Right?

  219. He knows those statements. Okay? So, Timothy

  220. will not have a Bible like this. He'll have scrolls.

  221. And the word to know the Scriptures in that statement

  222. is Eido. E -I -D -O. You can write it down. The

  223. word to know. Right? The word to know. The word

  224. to know, the scriptures, is the word Eido. And

  225. it is, it has some meaning, right? E -I -D -O.

  226. That was known, the scriptures. And it has some

  227. meaning. It means that he is well acquainted

  228. with the scriptures. Right? So, Those scriptures

  229. are not strange to him, right? The Bible or in

  230. its terms, the scrolls are not strange to Timothy.

  231. So he's well acquainted to these writings, to

  232. these scriptures. He has read them. He knows

  233. them. He can explain them. He knows the scriptures.

  234. So when they read Isaiah, he can know this is

  235. Isaiah. He can know this is the scripture. So

  236. he's well acquainted to... the scriptures. Now,

  237. that knowing is also related to skill. So it

  238. means that he has been examined. A skill of examination

  239. means checking the scriptures, checking the scrolls.

  240. So we can see that Timothy is someone that checks

  241. those scriptures, those writings. Right? The

  242. skill of examining, exploring the scriptures.

  243. So Timothy is someone that carries those materials

  244. and examines them. And we say that those materials

  245. are holy scriptures, sacred writings, phrases,

  246. and statements. Now, most of us are at this level,

  247. okay? Most of us, you read the Bible, you know

  248. the scriptures, you can quote. Some of us, when

  249. we were young, you go for Bible competition,

  250. right? And, you know, they call you out, you

  251. read a book, they ask you who did this, this,

  252. this. So you know the storyline, right? You know.

  253. Every part of the storyline. And you can answer

  254. questions. You do Bible sword. You are the first

  255. to open it. And all of that. Now, look at what

  256. it said following that. That you have known the

  257. scriptures. The holy scriptures. It says, which

  258. are able to make thee wise. Now, it means that

  259. those scriptures can make him wise. Now, that

  260. word wise is so feasible. Which, of course, we

  261. have taught before. So it involves, the word

  262. wise, isophizo. S -O -P -H -I -Z -O. Means to

  263. skillfully teach. Right? To skillfully teach.

  264. To skillfully teach. So which are able to make

  265. thee wise? So if we say wise is to skillfully

  266. teach, right? To be grounded, to be able to explain.

  267. That's the part of it. To be able to explain.

  268. Explain what? Explain salvation. So it means

  269. that from those scrolls, Timothy can pack them,

  270. right? And teach salvation from them. From those

  271. letters, from those writings. So it's not just

  272. going to pick only one scroll, right? It's going

  273. to pick a series of them across them in those

  274. writings. And then it would skillfully teach

  275. salvation. Are we together? So the question you

  276. ask yourself is, can I do that? So that's the

  277. first question you ask yourself. Can I pick the

  278. Bible and across the scriptures sufficiently?

  279. teach salvation or I will be stuck in the John

  280. 3 system. Right? So, that's the question we begin

  281. to ask ourselves. Why? Because in the going through

  282. of those scriptures is revelation. The going

  283. through of those scrolls, all of those scrolls

  284. is revelation. It means that you cannot stay

  285. in one scripture and expect yourself to grow.

  286. To grow, you must be well acquainted with the

  287. scriptures and you must be able to teach salvation

  288. to start with, right? You must be able to teach

  289. salvation from the scriptures. So salvation and

  290. not just anyhow salvation because there are different

  291. salvations, right? There are different salvations.

  292. If you go out there, there are many salvations.

  293. Salvation by giving, right? If you give, you'll

  294. be saved. Salvation by cleansing. Washing your

  295. face, washing your hand. If you do that, you

  296. will be saved. Salvation by visiting some holy

  297. lands. If you do that, you will be saved. Right?

  298. There are different kinds of what? Of salvation.

  299. So the salvation that you must seek is that one

  300. that comes through faith in Christ Jesus. And

  301. that's the revelation of it. So, Come back. It

  302. means that Timothy would read the scriptures

  303. of the Old Testament and teach salvation in Christ,

  304. true faith in Christ, right? Do you know what

  305. that means? That is revelation. That is revelation,

  306. right? So, he would pick scriptures where the

  307. name Jesus Christ is not written. But the Messiah

  308. is identified. And it will from there bring us

  309. to point to Christ that He is the Messiah. If

  310. you believe in Him, you have eternal life. So

  311. that means that you must be very, very wise.

  312. Which is to be able to skillfully teach Christ

  313. from the Old Testament. Now, it's not just salvation

  314. alone. But here the context says what? Salvation,

  315. right? It's not just salvation alone. Any doctrine,

  316. we're going to see that in the next verse 16.

  317. Any doctrine is established much more from the

  318. Holy Scriptures, from these writings. Right?

  319. From these writings. So you should be able to

  320. teach everything that pertains to Christ. And

  321. it's salvation, the love of God, right? Giving

  322. service. To serve in the church. You should be

  323. able to teach that from the Holy Scriptures.

  324. Maybe we should teach that so that we can have

  325. more zeal and more passion for the things of

  326. God. And you can see it consistently across the

  327. Scriptures. Now go to verse 16. So salvation

  328. through faith which is in Christ Jesus. Salvation

  329. through faith which is in Christ Jesus. Now this

  330. statement, salvation through faith which is in

  331. Christ Jesus, you will not find it anywhere in...

  332. The Old Testament. But it is across the scripture.

  333. So you have to carefully pick it out. Pick it

  334. out. Because it has been encoded there. And that

  335. is the job of the believer. That is the job of

  336. someone who calls himself a Christian. Right?

  337. To have sufficiency. Now let's go to verse 16.

  338. Verse 16. I'll skip other information from that.

  339. Verse 15. Now, it says, all scripture, right?

  340. All scripture. Now, this one is graphe, right?

  341. Which is G -R -A -P -H -E. All scriptures, right?

  342. All scriptures. Here, he's talking about all

  343. scriptures, which is graphe. G -R -A -P -H -E.

  344. G -R -A -P -H -E. So, This one is talking about

  345. all scriptures. It involves the entire book,

  346. actually, right? The entire writing, right? In

  347. fact, sometimes it reflects the entire theme

  348. of that writing. Sometimes it refers to the entire

  349. message of that book. It refers to the entire

  350. message where it is used when you say, you know

  351. the scriptures. It refers to the entire... of

  352. that. I know we've learned this, but, you know,

  353. we need to hit it very well so that we can. So

  354. it's graphe, G -R -A -P -H -E. G -R -A -P -H

  355. -E. So the entire scriptures taken together,

  356. right? The entire scriptures taken together is

  357. profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for instruction.

  358. For correction and for instruction in righteousness.

  359. Right? So, the entire scriptures that Timothy

  360. will be reading, right, is inspired by God. And

  361. it has its own theme. It has its own message.

  362. It has its own message. So, it says doctrine.

  363. So, the word doctrine here is didaskalia, right?

  364. We can write it down. The word doctrine there

  365. is didaskalia. I think we've written this and

  366. we have to write it again and again. Didaskalia,

  367. D -I -D -A -S -K -A -L -I -A, didaskalia. That's

  368. where we are going with this. That's actually

  369. where we are going with this. I'm going to use

  370. this part to explain some things to us and how

  371. people do not sufficiently use the scripture.

  372. Now, didaskalia, teachings or instruction. The

  373. word reproof, so we have doctrine, didaskalia.

  374. To bring sufficient evidence, right? To bring

  375. sufficient evidence. I always say to prove it

  376. over and over and over and over and again, right?

  377. To prove it over and over and over and over and

  378. again. Means that from Genesis to Malachi, right?

  379. Over and over and over and over and over and

  380. again, right? That is what the scriptures will

  381. show. what the message of the scripture is. The

  382. third one is correction. Correction. Epianotosis,

  383. which is E -P -A correction. E -P -A -N -O -R

  384. E -P -A -N -O -R C -H -O -S -I -S Epianotosis.

  385. Correction. To set things straight. To set things

  386. straight. So it means that I should expect things

  387. that are not straight, but when I come to the

  388. scripture, I should be able to set things straight.

  389. Set the teaching of salvation straight. Set the

  390. teaching of giving straight. Set the conduct

  391. of the believer straight by reading from the

  392. scriptures. Set the lifestyle of a believer straight

  393. by reading from the scriptures. And the last

  394. one is instruction in righteousness, right? Instruction

  395. is righteousness. It means training the believer

  396. to live right, right? Training the believer in

  397. righteousness. Training believer in righteousness.

  398. So it means that all of these must be done by

  399. examining all the scriptures. When we examine

  400. all the scriptures and we are able to see how

  401. Christ is established through salvation and we

  402. see doctrine. A particular doctrine, for example,

  403. it means that we have come into revelation of

  404. what that is. We have come into revelation of

  405. what that is. We are coming to revelation of

  406. what that is. Now, if someone pick, let me now

  407. ask a question now. If someone pick a part of

  408. the scripture, okay? If someone pick a part of

  409. the scripture, for example, Leviticus, and it

  410. says, Leviticus says, do not eat animals. that

  411. have, how do they put it? That chew cords, okay?

  412. Do not eat animal that chew cords. And today,

  413. someone approaches you and sees you eating maybe

  414. pork, you know, for the sake of, you know, you

  415. just wanted to have a taste of it. And the person

  416. reads that particular scripture to you. Or makes

  417. that statement, in fact, quoting it from the

  418. Bible and present it to you. What do you think

  419. the person has done? Do you think the person

  420. has been able to establish a doctrine from that?

  421. Or do you think the person is able to establish

  422. a doctrine from that? Or do you think the person

  423. is able to sufficiently, are we together, explain

  424. from just that one text? What I'm trying to tell

  425. us is that when someone takes such a scripture

  426. without examining all scriptures, first, we can

  427. say that they did what Timothy did, which is

  428. to be acquainted to the scriptures, right? Because

  429. you have to be acquainted to the scriptures before,

  430. you know, you can know that there's a part of

  431. the scripture that says that someone should not

  432. epoch. It means that you probably had read Leviticus

  433. and Exodus sufficiently, right? And somehow you

  434. have picked something there. So you have read

  435. it. The question is, when it pertains to what

  436. the believer can eat or not eat, can that person

  437. establish a ground using only that text? No.

  438. Do you get it? No. Right? It is impossible to

  439. pay. So what we call that action, when somebody

  440. does it to you, you tell the person you have

  441. heard. So they have heard from the scriptures.

  442. Okay? So erring means that you pick one part

  443. of the scripture, right? Without examining it

  444. across other scriptures, Genesis to Malachi sufficiently,

  445. then you give an instruction to a believer. Right?

  446. When you do that, you will be misleading the

  447. believer. So we can say that no doctrine, no

  448. reproof, no correction. or instruction in righteousness

  449. can come from just one verse. No doctrine, no

  450. reproof, no correction, no instruction in righteousness

  451. can come from a single verse quoted out of the

  452. Bible. But rather, they must be taken all together.

  453. When we do that, they err. And therefore, people

  454. miss the message of Christ. This is it. The end

  455. point is they miss the message of Christ. They

  456. heard. They heard. So when somebody picks up

  457. a scripture without explaining it sufficiently

  458. to you, and judges you, let me put that, let

  459. me use that word here, right? The person might

  460. have heard in the scriptures. Now let's go to

  461. Matthew. Let's go to Matthew. Let's go to Matthew.

  462. Let's establish this Aaron. Matthew 22. Matthew

    Matthew 22:29

  463. 22, verse 29. Matthew 22, verse 29. They say,

    Matthew 22:29

  464. yea, do err. Jesus answered and said to them,

  465. you are missed. Please give me erred. Give me

  466. my word. This is saying mistaken. Put the one

  467. that says erred there, please. I need that word.

  468. Yes. Jesus answered and said, you do err not

  469. knowing the scripture nor the power of God. Right?

  470. He said they erred not knowing. Why did they

  471. err? Move to the previous verse, 28. Take it

  472. back a little bit. I don't want to reach much

  473. of the stories. Take it back a little bit. Now,

  474. stop here. From here, it's fine. Now, there were

  475. seven wits, or seven brethren, and the first,

  476. when he had married a wife, deceased, and having

  477. no issue, left his wife onto his brother. Likewise,

  478. the second also, and the third, and the seventh.

  479. Next. And the last of all, the woman also died.

  480. So, seven men married a woman, success, success,

  481. succeeding there, I don't know how to put it

  482. right. Successively, right? After the other.

  483. So, when the human died, they all died. Now,

  484. look at their question. Therefore, in the day

  485. of resurrection, whose wife shall be of the seven?

  486. For they all had her. Right? So, this is kind

  487. of a mockery of resurrection. Right? They want

  488. to mock resurrection. Now, to mock resurrection,

  489. they now pick a verse. Now, if you go to verse

  490. 26, let's see where verse 24, where they were

  491. coming from. Saying, Master, Moses said, if a

  492. man die and have no children, his brother shall

  493. marry his wife and raise up seed unto his brother.

  494. This is where they pick their own grammar from.

  495. So they pick this grammar, right? And they use

  496. it to, I mean, they use it to want to explain

  497. that resurrection is not. something attainable.

  498. Because maybe confusion will happen. Maybe the

  499. seven brothers will begin to fight each other.

  500. That I had that from this year to this year.

  501. Right? So they want to show, they want to make

  502. resurrection look stupid. But they were actually

  503. one that were stupid because they didn't know

  504. the scriptures. Now go back to verse 28. Therefore

  505. at resurrection, now 29, let's see Jesus answer.

  506. Jesus answered and said, you do err. You just

  507. erred because you picked a scripture. You picked

  508. some statements. And from there, you want to

  509. disconnect or you want to say that the doctrine

  510. of resurrection established from Genesis to Malachi

  511. is not true. So that's what they wanted to do.

  512. You want to pick some statements. I think we

  513. need to stay a little bit on this part. So pick

  514. a statement and use that statement to disqualify

  515. all established thoughts until Malachi is erring.

  516. Do you get me? So if you find any statement that

  517. looks contradictory in the Bible, okay, we are

  518. entering revelational knowledge. When you find

  519. a statement that is contradictory in the Bible,

  520. consistently you have seen that a thought, That

  521. God saves by faith. He saves people through faith

  522. in Christ Jesus. And you check it from Genesis

  523. to Malachi and you can establish it. Now, you

  524. find one verse that says the works are required.

  525. Right? And you bring out one verse to challenge

  526. verses across. You are erring. So what do we

  527. do? It means that As believers, we hold on much

  528. more to what is established consistently from

  529. Genesis to Malachi. Do we get it? We hold on

  530. much more. Our stability is in what is consistently

  531. established and what is being questioned or what

  532. we put question mark to. It means that we need

  533. to do what? Go and study it. It means that there

  534. is need for more studies. So there is need for

  535. a lot of studies in our life. So this is what

  536. they do. They heard. He said not knowing the

  537. scriptures. Now, if you translate this knowing

  538. as what is written in the scriptures, just knowing

  539. the letters, it means that Jesus is not correct

  540. because they know what the scriptures wrote.

  541. They know those letters. They know those statements.

  542. But are they wise? Are they skillful in teaching

  543. about resurrection from those statements? No.

  544. They are not. So knowing the statements in the

  545. Bible is not sufficient. Being able to teach

  546. across the Bible the doctrine of Christ is revelation.

  547. So you do err not knowing. It means not comprehending

  548. the scriptures nor the power of God. Now let's

  549. put it together. It means that the scripture

  550. is what? The power of God. Romans 1 verse 16.

    Romans 1:16

  551. Romans 1 verse 16. Romans 1, verse 16. Say, for

    Romans 1:16 Romans 1:16

  552. I am not ashamed of the gospel. Where is it?

  553. Romans 1, verse 16, please. It said, for I am

    Romans 1:16

  554. not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is

  555. the power of God unto salvation to everyone that

  556. believe, not to the Jew first and also to the

  557. Greek. So it means that when we say you have

  558. power, it means that you understand the scriptures.

  559. You can teach from the scriptures. That is the

  560. strength of the Bible. You'll err because you

  561. don't know the scriptures, nor the power of God.

  562. Right? So the scriptures reveals the power of

  563. God. The scriptures reveal the power of God.

  564. From Genesis, right, to Malachi, reveals the

  565. power of God. We cannot separate the power of

  566. God from God's revelation in the scriptures.

  567. We cannot separate the power of God from God's

  568. revelation in the scriptures. So they erred.

  569. They picked some things, you know, and they tried

  570. to use that to counter a well -established expectation.

  571. Now, what would they do? What people do in such

  572. circumstances is that they make people stray

  573. from faith. Stray from faith means they stray

  574. from the knowledge of Christ. They stray from

  575. established doctrine, teaching. They stray from

  576. established doctrine and teaching. So, we cannot

  577. separate God's power from God's revelation. Now,

  578. let me put you an example. Okay? And I want to

  579. apply this to the manifestation, or the things

  580. of the spirits. When somebody gives you a word

  581. that does not edify you, right? Gives you a word

  582. that does not edify you and leads you, for example,

  583. someone sees you and say, well, I see that and

  584. this is what is going to happen to you. And,

  585. you know, this is the person that is causing

  586. your problem. And the person throws you in a

  587. conundrum of confusion. Right? In the word they

  588. are given. It means that such persons are void

  589. of the understanding, excuse me, of the understanding

  590. that comes from the scripture. Therefore, they

  591. cannot give expression to the power of God. Are

  592. you with me? So there should be no prophecy towards

  593. you that is coming from the word of God, established

  594. by the word of God and the things of the spirit

  595. giving expression that should produce worry,

  596. fear and concern. But rather, it should bring

  597. you to a place of encouragement, strength and

  598. faith in God. It should bring you to a place

  599. of what? Encouragement, strength and faith. in

  600. God so when you are filled with the scriptures

  601. right for those of us that we are encouraging

  602. give a word give a word right when you are filled

  603. with the scriptures what you perceive and the

  604. way you deliver it gives an encouragement to

  605. the believer okay It gives an encouragement to

  606. do. So when you are given a word, right? When

  607. you're walking in that manifestation, you should

  608. know that you know the power of God and you know

  609. the scriptures, right? That's why most of the

  610. time we teach and teach and teach and teach and

  611. teach again about the things of the spirits,

  612. right? So that people are acquainted with how

  613. the scriptures are written. So if you perceive

  614. the word and the word contradicts the scriptures,

  615. right? You say what the scripture says. That's

  616. it. Okay? You perceive a word. No, no. You say

  617. what the scripture says. Because what the scripture

  618. says gives an encouragement to that person. Are

  619. we together? Because you know the power of God.

  620. So, these people, they heard because they don't

  621. know the power of God. Now, let's write the statement

  622. down. We do not define the power of God by imagination

  623. and experiences. We do not define the power of

  624. God by imaginations and experiences. We do not

  625. define the power of God by imagination and experiences.

  626. Because your experience would fail. Your experience

  627. would cause you to doubt God sometimes. Your

  628. experience will make you begin to think, am I

  629. in the right place? You know? Yes, the experience

  630. will make you to doubt where God is leading you.

  631. So we do not define the power of God by imagination,

  632. experience, traditions or assumptions. We do

  633. not define the power of God by experience, traditions

  634. or assumptions. Or assumptions. Even if they

  635. are rightly stated. Because what the Pharisees

  636. quoted was rightly stated. We do not define the

  637. power of God through imaginations, experience,

  638. traditions, or assumption, even if they are rightly

  639. stated. It means that it is written. Did Moses

  640. not say that? Moses said that. Moses said that.

  641. It was written there. Even if they are rightly

  642. said as how they have occurred. Even if they

  643. are rightly said as to how they have occurred.

  644. Because in the scriptures, this happens so much.

  645. I'll show us another example. I'll show. People

  646. use like sequence. So this happened, then this

  647. happened. So let's finish the statement, then

  648. I will explain. Even if they are rightly stated

  649. as to how they occurred, they might not be truly

  650. stated. They might not be truthfully stated.

  651. Yes. They might not be truthfully stated. Right?

  652. They might not be truthfully stated. So it means

  653. that there's a truth that guides what is rightly

  654. stated. There is a truth that guides what is

  655. rightly stated. There is a truth that guides

  656. what is rightly stated. When it's rightly stated,

  657. there is a truth in the scriptures, across the

  658. scriptures, that guides what is rightly stated.

  659. So let me say this as well. Though your experience

  660. is rightly stated, What you are going through

  661. is rightly stated. There is a truth that guides

  662. what you are going through. Okay? What you are

  663. going through is rightly stated. That is why

  664. we say, well, we recognize what you're going

  665. through. We recognize the challenges life brings

  666. to us. We recognize, you know, all the things

  667. that is happening to you. Right? We see them.

  668. We are not ignorant of these challenges. And

  669. they are rightly stated and they are rightly

  670. there. But the truth, there's a truth that guides

  671. what you are going through. So the truth should

  672. prevail over what is rightly stated. The truth

  673. should prevail over what is rightly stated. Now

  674. let's check two examples. Two examples of scenarios

  675. where people actually use the scripture uh in

  676. such a way let's check some examples rightly

  677. stated this is one example but let's let's just

  678. minutes we'll scroll through some examples let's

  679. pick first corinthians first uh go to first corinthians

  680. for me 1 Corinthians 15, 3 to 4. Can you just

  681. put that first? Then I'll bring up the scripture

  682. I want to explain. The scriptures, right? According

  683. to the scriptures. Now, the scriptures here is

  684. referring, right, to graphy, right? It's referring

  685. to graphy, means that what Jesus did, okay? What

  686. Jesus did is explained in Genesis to Malachi,

  687. okay? It's explained in Genesis to Malachi. What

  688. Jesus did is explain in Genesis to Malachi. And

  689. this scripture is parallel to Luke 24, verse

    Luke 24:44

  690. 44. So you can just put Luke 24, verse 44 there

    Luke 24:44

  691. as a parallel scripture. Just put Luke 24, verse

    Luke 24:44

  692. 44. And it said unto them, these are words which

  693. I speak unto you. While I was yet with you, that

  694. all things must be fulfilled, which were written

  695. in the law of Moses and the prophets and the

  696. Psalms concerning me. So across the scriptures,

  697. right? All what Jesus did was to fulfill what

  698. the scriptures are talked about. Now let's go

  699. to John 9, John chapter 9 from verse 1. John

    John 9 chapter mention

  700. chapter 9 from verse 1. And as Jesus passed by,

  701. he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

  702. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master,

  703. who did sin, this man or his parents, that he

  704. was born blind? And Jesus answered, Neither had

  705. this man sinned, nor his parents, but that the

  706. works of God. Should be made manifest. In him.

  707. Right. That the works of God. Should be made.

  708. Manifest. In him. Now. The pattern. Okay. Go

  709. back to verse 2. Where they made that statement.

  710. So the disciples asked. So the disciples. Not

  711. even just the crown. The disciples. Who did sin?

  712. This man. Or. His parents. That. He was born.

  713. So the understanding here is that when you sin

  714. against God, certain things as such would come

  715. to you. Okay? When you sin against God, certain

  716. things as such would come to you. Now, this kind

  717. of understanding, believe me, is rightly stated

  718. across the Old Testament. For example, Israel

  719. sinned against God. And all of a sudden, you

  720. see the king of Assyria attacking them, right?

  721. You see this thing as a pattern in the scriptures,

  722. right? So, consistently when they sin and evil

  723. happens, right? They accrue it to, because we

  724. have sinned against God, right? Therefore, we

  725. have been punished. So, the understanding here

  726. is, who sinned? The child, look at this, this

  727. man or his, how can the man that has not, you

  728. know, it means that it's possible to sin from

  729. the womb. Because it said this man or his parent

  730. that he was born blind. So they knew he was born

  731. blind. So how can he sin if he was born blind?

  732. Right? So it's, there are unexplainable circumstances,

  733. right? There are unexplainable circumstances.

  734. And when those unexplainable circumstances comes,

  735. The most, you know, visible or logical, let me

  736. not say logical, easy explanation is to accrue

  737. evil to sin and sin against God. So men find

  738. it easy. It's a shortcut to life. Shortcut to

  739. peace. Shortcut to finding a closure. You see,

  740. it came from God. Right? Even if you have humans

  741. in those contexts, government mistakes, people

  742. not taking precautions, and people doing things

  743. in the wrong way, trying to make more money,

  744. greed and all of that, they will say, no, it's

  745. God, right? So here, they were trying to walk

  746. in that kind of a light. That's who did sin.

  747. Now, the next verse now says, Neither had this

  748. man sinned nor his parents. Right? So, Jesus

  749. is saying it's not about their sin or whether

  750. they sin or not, but the works of God should

  751. be made manifest in him. Now, the wrong way to

  752. explain this is to say that he was born blind

  753. so that God would show up. Like, I mean, God

  754. made him blind. That's another explanation. That

  755. God made him blind so that he would show his

  756. power that, you know, I'm here. Right? God does

  757. not need to make somebody blind to show his power.

  758. Are we together? Don't forget, the power of God

  759. is what? The scriptures. We are coming from somewhere,

  760. okay? We are coming from somewhere. The works

  761. of God, the power of God, the scriptures. So

  762. for him to manifest the things written in the

  763. scriptures, does he need to produce such, I mean,

  764. does he need to inflict such a thing to a person?

  765. No. Okay? He doesn't need to inflict such a thing

  766. to anybody. Right? That's why I think that I

  767. said that sometimes your enemy will be there

  768. and God will still make a way for you where your

  769. enemy is beside you. I mean enemy and opposition.

  770. Someone who is directly opposing you. It might

  771. be in your workplace. It might be in your class.

  772. It might be in your environment. The person is

  773. just a stress to you. And you, you are praying,

  774. Lord, take him away. Shift their move. Move their

  775. shift so that they can have space for me. Lord,

  776. make a way. Anyhow, let them fire the person.

  777. You don't need to do all of that. I think I realized

  778. that over time, studying the word, and that's

  779. a revelation for me. That in that same place,

  780. you will have peace. In that same place, room

  781. will be made available for you. In that same

  782. place, opportunities will be open and the person

  783. will be looking at you like this. In that same

  784. place, while the opposition is taking place,

  785. you are growing. You are growing. Despite the

  786. opposition. So God does not need to harm, inflict,

  787. kill. He doesn't do that to lift you up. That's

  788. not revelation. So your prayer now, if you find

  789. opposition, things around you, right? Say, Lord,

  790. I grow in this place. Opportunities are open

  791. for me in this place. I manifest God in this

  792. place. Maybe we should explain something to us.

  793. Do you know that before evil was God, evil did

  794. not come, then God now appeared. Before the concept

  795. of evil and sin and wickedness, God existed.

  796. So God is not always an aftermath to come and

  797. do evil. That's another thing we need to understand.

  798. God existed before all of these things. So they

  799. don't come from him. Right? They don't come from.

  800. So he was teaching and he said, neither others

  801. man sin nor the parent, but that the works of

  802. God should be made manifest. It means that everywhere

  803. there is evil, whether it's sin or not sin related,

  804. the manifestation of God will take place. So

  805. the works of God will be made manifest. Everywhere

  806. there is evil. So God is not the one producing

  807. the evil. Right? But rather, where God moves,

  808. the evil, the blindness, and the sickness, they

  809. disappear. So God is not doing it so that it

  810. can manifest, but rather the presence of God

  811. in such arenas takes away the evil, takes away

  812. the blindness, takes away the problem. So the

  813. presence of God in such arenas takes away. Now

  814. move to the next verse 4. He said, I must walk

  815. the walks of him that sent me while it is day,

  816. the night coming when no man can walk. And as

  817. long as I am in the world, I am what? The light

  818. of the world. So it is not going about looking

  819. for those people that God has inflicted, then

  820. it will not make it. No, as long as I am present.

  821. As long as I am present, right? I am the light

  822. of the world. Praise God. I hope you have received

  823. revelation today. I hope we are growing in revelation.

  824. On Wednesday, we will continue. But go with these

  825. thoughts in you. Right? Knowing fully well that

  826. God is ever present with you. Knowing fully well

  827. that the scriptures are the power of God. They

  828. are the revelation. They shape the rightly stated

  829. circumstances you face because they are the truth

  830. of God's word. Can you just pray? Can you pray?

  831. Can you pray for yourself? Say, Lord, as I go

  832. daily in my life, I walk in the revelation of

  833. who God is. No matter what is rightly stated

  834. in my life, I walk in the revelation of who God

  835. is. We appreciate you being here today. We hope

  836. you carry this word with you throughout your

  837. week. Don't forget to check the show notes for
