A kind sentence, a thoughtful compliment, or a gentle response can carry more weight than we realize.
-
Today, let's ask God to make our words a source of encouragement and healing.
-
Proverbs 1624 says, gracious words are honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
-
Take a quick 10 seconds and think of the encouraging words others have spoken over your life.
-
Then, take another 10 seconds and thank God for that encouragement.
-
Remember how He has used people to strengthen your faith, keep you steadfast, and stabilize you emotionally.
-
Next, would you ask the Lord to guard your words today?
-
Think about the conversations you'll have with your family, friends, or neighbors.
-
Invite Him to help your words bring hope, peace, and encouragement wherever you go.
-
Give yourself fifteen seconds to think on this earnestly.
-
Do you wish someone would walk up to you or randomly text you an encouraging word today?
-
Do you need some affirmation or affection to keep you going today?
-
Who better to ask and seek that from than the God who says, cast your cares on me because I care for you.
-
And with God, care is an action word.
-
Take a full minute and let the Lord know what you need from Him today.
-
Help our words reflect your heart.
-
Amen.
