Ephesians chapter 4.

Ephesians 4 · chapter mention

When you have it, say amen.

I know you're there.

We're going to start at verse number one.

This is the new living translation.

So if you're reading out of King James or another translation, it may not be exactly the same.

But I felt led to read out of this translation this morning.

Paul is writing to the church in Ephesus, and he says, Therefore, verse number one, I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling.

You might want to underline that.

For you have been called by God.

Always be humble and gentle, be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love.

Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.

For there is one body and one spirit, just as you have been called, to one glorious hope for the future.

There's one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all.

Notice that it says he ascended.

This clearly means that Christ also descended to our lowly world, and that the same one who descended is the one who ascended higher than all the heavens, so that he might fill the entire universe with himself.

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church.

The apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.

Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do the work, to do his work, and to build up the church, the body of Christ.

And this will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we may be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.

And my headline on my Bible it says unity in the body.

How many know that Christ has called us to be in unity one with another?

Amen.

Let's pray.

Father, we thank you, Lord, for the word of God.

We thank you, Lord, for everyone that's here today.

God, we are here by divine appointment, God.

We are here to hear your word, to worship you, and to magnify you.

But God, we need to know specifically, God, what you would say to us today.

So, God, I ask you to anoint me, Lord, to preach the word with simplicity, but Lord, with power and anointing.

I pray, God, that we'll be able, Lord, to gather in, Lord, what you would say to us individually and corporately.

And God, that we would grow in grace and knowledge of you today.

And God, that we would be, Lord, the full stature of the men and women that you called us to be, that you might be glorified and praised through our works.

And we give you all the thanks for this.

We ask it in Jesus' name.

Amen and amen.

As I read this scripture, God brought a Greek word or term to my mind.

And I'm going to read a verse out of Matthew 16, 18.

I preached from this earlier in the year when Jesus asked his disciples, Who do men say that I am?

And Peter spoke up and he answered, He said, You're the Christ.

And Jesus said in verse 18, He said, I say unto thee that thou art Simon Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church.

But the Greek word is Ecclesia.

And he says, And the gates of hell shall not prevail or conquer against his church.

This has not changed since Christ spoke this word.

He has been building his church, he is building his church, and we who are bought by the blood of Jesus and have come into faith of the Son of God are part of the Ecclesia, the church that Jesus is building.

In ancient Greece, this term originally had no religious significance or meaning.

It referred to a political assembly or chosen or qualified citizens who gathered in a public square to discuss city affairs, to vote on laws, and to handle civic business.

Now there are a lot of churches that are operating in this context of what the original Greek meaning was, but Christ meant something completely different when he said, I will build my church or my ecclesia.

What he is saying is that we are an assembly of chosen and qualified citizens of a heavenly kingdom.

This means that Christ is the central figure over the church.

He is our king.

Now we are handling the business of the kingdom of God.

Amen.

We're not just here to pass time.

We're not just here to say queserah, Sarah, whatever will be, will be.

We're not here to be run roughshot by the enemy.

We are the power of God in the earth at this moment by the Holy Spirit's leading.

This simply means that you, as a member of God's body, you have power as a citizen of heaven to speak into some things, to pray over some things, and see the power of God operating through your life and through the local church.

Amen.

And so I want to preach today for a few moments and help us to understand what this means to be part of the church and the unity of the church.

The broader meaning of this ecclesia is that we're not a physical building, but we're a community of believers called by God out of the world to function together as a spiritual body.

I heard someone say this, it's stuck with me over the years.

There's no big eyes or little us in the kingdom of God.

There's not just one central figure in the church that is doing all the things all the time, but we are a body made up universally of believers.

Amen.

I'm telling you, we have to ask ourselves the question what would happen if we were not here today as a body of Christ?

How would it affect our community?

How would it affect our family?

How would it affect the lives in this in this state that we are working around and being around on a daily basis?

I believe in my own heart that it would mean that there would be a lot of things left undone that Christ wants to see done in our families.

Amen.

There are a lot of things that we would not see happen because we are the hands and feet of Jesus Christ.

Do you believe that today?

We are his body and he's working in us.

And our first function, so we function together as a spiritual body, and I wrote, our first function is to stand as a community in a living personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

We cannot do anything outside of Jesus Christ.

In John 15, Jesus said, I'm the vine and you're the branches.

Amen.

He said, Without me, you can do nothing.

We're connected to the source.

Our power, our authority is only found in Jesus Christ.

Amen.

The devil's not scared of us, but he is, has to come under the authority of Jesus.

Amen.

And so we as a church body must function as a community, living in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Daily we come to Jesus.

All throughout the day, we are drawn to thank him and to worship him and to remember who our King is.

1 Peter chapter 2, verse 5, Peter states that we are living stones built into a spiritual house to serve as a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices to God through Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 2:5

Let me just put it in simple terms.

You matter to God and you matter to people.

What you do makes a significance in this earth today.

Amen.

And for ages to come, if we do something, even we we lay a foundation for Christ and we're carried into heaven.

What we begin with Christ, it will go on after we've left this world.

Do you believe that today?

It is significant what you do for Jesus Christ.

It is significant what I do in the things that God gives us to do today.

He says, we are built together as living stones.

I want you to know today you're not in this by yourself.

You're not alone.

You're not trying to beat the devil on his grounds by yourself.

You are part of a body that is fighting for one cause, and that is to see Christ magnified in this earth.

And we have a testimony.

What's your testimony today?

My testimony is I once was lost, but now I'm found.

I was blind, but now I see.

Our testimony is the amazing grace of God that saved a wretch like us, that he brought us out of the world and brought us into the kingdom of his own blessed son.

And we're changed today, aren't we?

We're new creatures in Christ.

We may remember some of our failures and some of our sins, but the Bible says that God, He He has forgotten those things.

He's removed them as far as the East is from the West.

And he doesn't remember them anymore.

When we realize that we're citizens of God's kingdom, Paul said that we are part of a family.

He says in Ephesians 2.19, he says, Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of his household.

I'm a child of God.

You're a child of God.

My home is heaven.

We say that song gil and lamb, we're looking forward to it, but right now we're enjoying the privileges of a citizen of the kingdom of heaven.

Amen.

All rights and privileges belong to God's people today.

You have rights as a child of God.

And we're fellow citizens and we share equal rights and status in God's kingdoms.

Household members mean that believers belong to God's own family and we share a close personal bond.

Amen.

Isn't it good that you're in a family, an extended family that shares the love of Christ?

When you say that God loves you, I know he loves me the same.

Amen.

I heard people say one time that they were God's favorite, and I thought, hogwash.

You're not God's favorite.

God loves all of his children.

Amen.

Now we can have favorites, right?

We can choose things that we like more about others, but God loves us particularly the same.

Amen.

He loved the world so much that he sent his only begotten son to seek and save the lost.

That means that if it had only been you, he would have sent Jesus for you.

But it wasn't only you.

He wanted to reach out and save not only the Jews, but the Gentiles.

And he says he's made us one body.

He's brought the Jews and the Gentiles together, and there's one body, there's one spirit, there's one church of God, and we're part of that church.

I'm here to say the Jews don't have an advantage over us, and we don't have an advantage over the Jews.

Christ broke down that middle wall of separation.

That means we're not second-class citizens.

Amen.

When someone goes through all the right process to be an American citizen, they go through all the legal processes, and when they attain that, they have the right of citizenship equal with you and with me.

Not born into the American, but they are coming to that place of citizenship.

We are part of the citizenship of heaven.

And so we need to remember that we're a body.

We don't fight against our own body.

Amen.

If somebody you saw somebody on the street beating their self in the head, you would say that person's insane.

Right?

Attacking their own body, you'd say something's not right.

We are one body and we are the family of God.

And we're not to attack the church down the street that's a that because their doctrine's a little bit different than what we understand now.

If they're bought with the blood of Jesus, we can't split hairs with everything because we're not all right.

Amen.

Somebody say amen.

I don't understand everything perfectly.

I'm not gonna tear.

We're like a bunch of crabs in a bucket.

We're climbing up, pulling the other ones down, trying to get up higher.

But God's not called us to war amongst ourselves.

He's called us to fight the good fight of faith and to stand for God and to love one another.

Somebody say amen today.

That's what God has called us to do.

I'm not here rebuking you, I'm here encouraging you today.

We're one body.

And Jesus puts the body or the house together, and he guides us by the Holy Spirit and by his word.

You notice I read scripture this morning, and you say, Well, you're not expounding on the scripture very much.

I'm I'm attempting to.

I'm telling you that Paul said that we are called to unity.

Amen.

That doesn't mean that we're all gonna sit on the same side of the church, or we're all gonna grieve on the same things, or we're all gonna like the same things in life.

I I understand that we're a diverse people, but we are gifted diversely by the Spirit for a purpose.

Amen.

Don't hate people because they're not like you.

Have you ever heard variety is the spice of life?

I I I shared with you when we went to Honduras.

Now they cooked for us and watched us eat.

And I thought they could have sure used a salt shaker or some spices, but I ate it and was thankful for it.

But how many know that a little salt sure helps the flavor?

Amen.

A little spice sometimes that helps the flavor.

And I'm telling you, when we come together, God brings us together as individuals.

We're all different, excuse me, but we're all called into one body, and we're not to fight against one another.

We're to compliment one another.

And I'm here to tell you it's sure as a compliment when people are able to sing, to play, to preach, to teach, to love, to have their giftings operating in the church.

I don't want to be a one-man show, do you?

I want us to work in unison, in unity together as a family.

And so what Paul says here in the word is says to make every effort to keep yourselves united in the spirit.

He's saying that we have to we have to be precise in going towards a place of unity in the spirit, binding yourselves together with peace, and remembering that there is one body and one spirit, just as you've been called to one glorious hope and one future.

He says we've got to remember and make every effort to keep ourselves in agreement with God.

Because Jesus is never going to bring us to a place of warry against his word.

He's going to keep us in unity.

The church is a spiritual fellowship, and it involves the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the unity of the Spirit, the baptism of the Spirit.

So God has not left us here to figure this thing out in our own abilities.

He's given us his word, and he's given us the help of the Holy Spirit.

And he says, You are to make every effort to obey the word of God.

The fellowship is to demonstrate observable love and care for one another.

You know, I don't have a question, no, if you love me when we come in here and we greet each other and we love each other.

And you know, I had a friend once, I may have shared this.

He was really a blessing to me.

He was an older minister who had retired, and one day I called him up.

And I don't remember what I said, but the way he responded was not very cordial.

It was almost like he snapped at me.

And I thought, well, that I never had that happen before.

Now with him, he was always really kind and gentle and compassionate, a good friend, but he snapped at me that day.

And and I didn't snap by.

Something's not right.

That wasn't normal, it wasn't personal, it wasn't, it was I touched a nerve.

Has anybody ever touched a nerve?

And what we're called to as a body in loving one another is to recognize that sometimes we touch a nerve.

Sometimes we we don't really realize what's going on in life, but our fellowship is to demonstrate that we love one another and that love covers a multitude of sins.

Amen.

And it's okay to say sometimes, I know it wasn't meant to me.

They they didn't say I'm sorry, but I I'm just gonna give it to God.

You kind of let it roll away, right?

That is striving to keep the peace and the unity in the body of Christ.

And I'm here to tell you, there may be times that I say something and you scratch your hand and say, What did he mean by that?

Just pray for me because I'm human and I may say things in an off way, I may do things wrong, but we are to strive for the unity of the spirit.

Amen.

If I can ever do it, I want to be like a coach right over a team.

I know that there are different players in different positions, and that we all don't have the same plays and the same positions all the time, but we're moving toward that goal line, right?

We're trying to push past the opponents.

We're trying to get the ball to the other end of the goal, right?

And that's a sports analogy, but that's what we're doing as a body of Christ.

We're not staying here singing kumbaya till Jesus comes back.

We are we're on the move.

Somebody say amen.

I'm moving and you're moving.

We're not just stagnant today.

One of my co-workers will say, Are you picking up what I'm laying down?

Amen.

So, what we're doing as a body of Christ is we are fellowshipping.

And we want to see God grow the church.

We want to see God grow believers.

And how are we going to see that?

Is through prayer and honoring the Word of God and keeping the unity of the Spirit is going to command the blessing.

Psalm 133, 2 says, For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil that ran down Aaron's head, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe.

And it says something special there.

It says, And there God commanded the blessing.

I heard a preacher preach the other day about a broken tooth and a foot out of joint.

Let me tell you, I I've had a broken tooth, and I've never had a foot out of joint, but I can tell you probably both of them are uncomfortable.

But the church is to be healed and whole.

And sometimes the church is going to go through a process of feeling like we've got a broken tooth or a foot out of joint.

But when the oil of the Holy Spirit flows over his church and we strive to keep the unity of the Spirit and we love one another and we fellowship with the Word of God and with prayer, all of a sudden, I believe we'll see the blessing of the Lord commanded upon the church.

Let me tell you today, you can't outrun the blessing of God.

When God blesses this church, it becomes fruitful and it multiplies in every area.

I'm not just talking about numbers, but all of a sudden you'll see the church, you'll see believers begin to grow.

You'll see their faith begin to be strong and stable and durable.

You begin to see or hear something about the testimony of their faith from other people, right?

Remember what the apostle Paul said?

He said, We've heard about your faith.

The word has got back to us that your faith is rock solid and that it is active, and God is using you in this pagan place.

It just simply is the way the church grows.

And I'm here to tell you I feel the unity of the Spirit coming in this house.

Do you?

I feel it.

I feel God is working on us.

I am a pastor with expectancy.

I'm expecting God to begin to work in your life, in my life, in our community, and the church is going to begin to see people we've already seen.

Two sisters come in.

We keep speaking about y'all.

Just accept it.

There are going to be somebody's coming in after you, and we're going to speak of them.

But what happened was the Holy Spirit saw a need, and he's bringing people to the church.

And let me tell you this today.

Each one of you in this house, God is gifting you with an ability that's going to work in this church like all the components of a vehicle work together.

I believe that.

Unless you flip it over.

If you keep it right, the tires are the only part of the car that touches the road.

But do you ever hear the engine tell the tires, you don't get the, it's not right for you to stay on the road all the time.

I'm doing all the work here.

No, the engine is what turns the shaft, that turns the gears, that turns the axle, that makes the car go down the road, but the engine can't operate without the gasoline.

And if you don't have oil in the engine, it won't operate long at all.

All these components are working together for one cause to make that vehicle be what it's supposed to be and to do what it's supposed to do.

And the church, here's what God's been showing me.

The church at large has been one person trying to do all the work while the rest of us are waiting for the work to get done.

And God is saying, I've gifted and anointed and called the church to work, and the gifts that I give the church equip the church for the work of the ministry.

Yes, amen.

Hallelujah.

Sister Pat, you may be dizzy just to go down to the right doctor and talk to him about Jesus.

He may be lost and undone without Christ.

And there you are, got all the dizziness going on.

We're praying that you get healed, and God puts you right where you need to be because you had an ear problem and you thought, this is it, I'm going to live with this forever.

And God says, not until you get to the place I need you to be.

And when you're there, I can use you because you're the church, we could say incognito, but you're not.

You're in the church visible in the world.

Yes, amen.

Y'all still like me?

I hope you do.

We are commanded the blessing because we're in unity.

Now, if they hear the church across the town, there's all this infighting and warring going on.

You don't want to go to that.

Right?

Nobody wants to be in that.

We want to be a place where there's peace and love and unity and joy.

And that means that sometimes we're going to get out of joint.

We're going to have to work it out.

But God's going to help us because we're striving for unity.

Amen.

And your gifts may be different than mine, and I'm going to cheer you on as God uses you in your gifts.

Amen.

So we're receiving the gifts and we're learning when to move in the gifts.

See, God's been showing me that many fail because they're trying to do it in their own abilities and giftings.

Remember, I said a week or so ago about the partnership principle that working together increases the odds of winning together.

Two are better than one.

If one falls, the other can help him up.

If one's discouraged, the other can encourage him.

Most all the time, husband and wife are not discouraged at the same time.

Wife and the kids are not discouraged at the same time.

Someone around you can encourage you, but if you're all alone, it's sometimes difficult to encourage ourselves.

But the word says that we've been put in a family.

Remember that working together increases the odds of winning together.

What happens when we begin to argue and war against one another?

We become divided, and our gifts are not working because we've become a divided family.

But Peter, when he had failed at fishing all night and Jesus came and said to him, Let me borrow your boat, he didn't say, You don't know what I've been through, Jesus.

I've just fished all night.

I'm washing my nets and I ain't caught a thing.

But he somehow said, Okay, you can borrow my boat.

And after Jesus gets through speaking, Luke chapter 5, you can read it later.

Jesus looks at Peter and he says, Peter, launch out into the deep waters and let down your net for a catch.

And Peter could have refused that, but he didn't.

He responded and said, Lord, I fished all night, but something you're saying is propelling me or is causing me to do, want to do that.

So Lord, at your word, I will obey.

And the Bible says, when he let down his nets, read it, it's in the Bible.

At his word, when Jesus said to do something, he obeyed.

And the Bible says the catch was so great that they could not get the fish in the boat without without having help.

See, I can see Jesus trying to help Peter get the nets in.

I mean, here's the Son of God and Peter, he's like, Man, I told you, let down the net.

And Jesus and Peter can't get the fish out of the net in the boat.

And so what happens is he cries out, there's James and John up there washing their nets.

He says, Hey, come help.

And then it's uh immediately they're paddling out to get to him.

And the Bible tells us that they begin to fill both boats with so many fish that the boat's beginning to sink.

And God will show me, he said, there there is power in partnership.

There's multiplication that you need somebody to help you.

I need someone to help me.

The church needs to work together in unity if we're going to see what God wants in the church.

I'm casting vision today, I guess you could say.

Or we could say aye.

Not for me.

I was told, well, I wasn't told, I heard a preacher say years ago about a year-long revival in in Pensacola, Florida, where God moved in that little assembly God church, Brownsville assembly.

And on Father's Day, the Holy Spirit moved.

But they had been praying for revival for years.

And on that Sunday morning, the pastor said he had lost his mother a few months ahead.

He said, I didn't even want to be at church that day.

But on Father's Day, God met them at church.

And revival broke out.

Years, three, four, or five years.

And many people came to Jesus.

Many people who had backslid and came back to Jesus.

Many people were touched and encouraged.

But he said one day a man who was considered a prophet called him and wanted to speak to him.

So he said, I went over to his house and he said, He told me.

Notice that one of the gifts Christ gave to the church, he gave prophets.

So I believe that people can be used in the gift of prophets.

And he said, This man said, Pastor, he says, you're enjoying revival at your church.

And I think this was just a safety place that pride wouldn't enter in because pride will destroy everything.

And he said, You know that God told me that he had chosen another church to send revival to.

You weren't his first choice.

And he said, but they didn't want revival.

So God saw you.

And he sent revival to your church.

Because y'all were praying and seeking and crying out for God to do something.

I'm here to tell you, when we get in unity and pray for God to move, God will hear our prayer.

And he'll send the Holy Spirit to revive us, to encourage us, to strengthen us, to help us.

And I believe that there are good days ahead.

Do you believe that?

Oh, I know there are troubles and trials and tribulation, and I know that the world's crazy and things are falling apart all over the place, but God is not anxious about any of this.

God knows exactly what he's doing.

And he will have a church.

The Bible says he's coming back for a glorious church without spot, without wrinkle.

See, all we have to do is to obey God's word.

What we have to do is realize that this word epilesia means that God gives gifts to his church, that he has called us out, and he is equipping us for the work of the ministry, for us to become a shining light and a testimony in the earth of Jesus Christ.

I I really I don't have a clear vision of what it's gonna look like, but I have an expectancy that God is moving, and all we have to do is to yoke up with the word of God in prayer and believe we're gonna begin to do some things, and this community is gonna be drawn to Jesus.

Do you believe that today?

Let me say some of you, I thought about this this morning as I was getting ready for church.

I thought about it, I said, well, we may have some people that come that are coming, and they may feel like, well, that's for someone else.

I can't, I can't do what others do.

I I'm not able to physically do what some would do, but I want to encourage you right now, prayer precedes the moving of God.

Don't ever say, Well, all I can do is pray.

Because if you can pray, prayer, it's a prerequisite for the move of God.

We have not because we ask not.

Pray for unity.

Strive to keep the unity in the faith.

Pray for love.

That doesn't mean that we're gonna accept everything that blows in the door.

Somebody say amen.

We can't accept sin.

We can't accept things that are contrary to the word of God.

We're gonna stand for doctrine.

But somebody said that the word of God makes an excellent sword, but a lousy club.

We're not gonna beat people into the kingdom.

We're gonna use the word of God to cut through the things that that we face.

We're just gonna speak the truth in love.

Amen.

We're gonna stand for the right.

We used to sing that song.

We're gonna stand for the right.

Amen.

We're the Lord's army.

We're not cowardly.

Remember last week I talked about adding to our faith and building upon what God's given us.

And that's what we're doing, church.

But the love and the unity of the Spirit, they have to be in the house of God.

Amen.

And that means that we we care for others better than ourselves.

I'm saying, God, help me.

Right?

I'm looking at everybody.

I'm not trying to single anybody out, but I I can be selfish.

Amen.

I can see that last cookie and want it.

Amen.

I can see that last piece of pie and I can want it, right?

And I want to be a person that says, God, like Paul, my prayer is for others to be saved.

Right?

I don't ever want to be one that if somebody can preach better than me, I'm scared to get them to preach.

Right?

I want to say thank God for better preachers, better ministers, better, better teachers and singers, because they are a blessing to the body of Christ.

And I say today, as I close, what is the gift that God has put in you that He's wanting to hone and sharpen for the church?

See, I I I just let the light of God come in on some of you right there.

Because some of you is wondering, well, what is my gift?

And I can't tell you what your gift is, but the Holy Spirit can.

Romans chapter 12 tells us that there are different giftings that God has given us.

First Corinthians chapter 11 talks about spiritual gifts.

All these are working together in one goal for the church and for the lost to come to know Jesus Christ.

And I'm here to tell you, God works through people.

Amen.

And he's gonna work through you.

Let that be a nugget that you hold on to today.

Not only is he gonna work through you, he's been working through you.

Sister Dawana, when we came and visited you that day, I was more probably encouraged than you were when I left because the word of God was just coming forth from you, and your testimony was to be used to touch others for Jesus.

You don't stand up and say everything you've done, but God knows.

Others in here, you don't stand up and say everything that you've done, but God knows.

Those little moments, those prayers, those being hurt by others and yet saying, God, you see, I'm not retaliating.

God, I'm trusting you.

God knows.

And today I'm here just to remind you the unity of the Spirit is in this house.

We're gonna guard it.

Amen.

We're gonna keep it flowing.

Cooper, I guess.

Well, you're not the youngest today.

Brother Michael, his kids are the youngest, but you're the youngest adult here today.

You finish school, and you probably wonder what all God has for you in life.

What what you're just trying to find your way through life.

That's okay, we all are.

But because you belong to him, there's an anointing on your life, a gifting on your life that's gonna make all the difference in those who don't have it.

And don't be anxious about anything, don't worry.

Just keep God in the right place, keep Christ in the center, and you're gonna you're gonna be blessed, brother.

He's gonna be blessed.

He's gonna make all things work together for the good.

Okay?

He's gonna lead you in God.

And I say that not only to him, but to all of us.

Amen.

He's working it together, and we're gonna get to enjoy it together.

Amen.

Stand with me today.

Praise the Lord.

I hope, I hope this word was put together in some way.

You got something out of it today.

I feel the call of the Holy Spirit.

And I feel the weight.

A lot of days I feel the weight as a pastor to get the right sermon or to say the right thing.

And God's reminded me, He said, it's not on your shoulders, it's on his shoulders.

And just keep pointing the church to the one who makes all the difference.

Jesus is the center of everything.

Amen.

He's the center of your life, he's the center of the church, he's the one who anoints you, he's the one that empowers you, he's the one who enables you, he's the one that's gonna use you and encourage you.

And I'm gonna keep pointing you to him, and I'm gonna keep trusting in him.

And together, we're about to see some change come that we've been praying and hoping for for a long time.

Do you believe that today?

Let's just close in thanking him for that.

Father, we thank you together as a church body, that God, you've not only called us, but you have equipped us.

You have brought us together.

God, you're not only bringing us together as a family, but God, in unity of the Spirit, God, I'm believing that there are others, Lord, that you want to bring into this local assembly that God, they're going to add to.

They're going to, Lord, just bring the spice of Jesus and the Holy Spirit in a way that we need you to move, God.

I thank you for the leadership.

I thank you for the eldership.

I thank you for the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon it.

I thank you for the ministers that have come before us, God, the ones that have all through the ages, Lord, have preached to this pulpit, who brought the word of God, the anointing that was upon their life.

We thank you for the saints, Lord, who were part of this church, have run the race and gone on.

But God, we're here today.

And we say, Lord, let the latter house be greater than the former.

Let the anointing of the Holy Spirit fill this house.

Let healings come, miracles, signs, and wonders in the name of Jesus.

We pray for salvations in this community.

Lord, let this church be a church, Lord, that radiates the power of Jesus Christ.

And Lord, we pray have your way in our lives and grow us together in the faith that, Lord, will last throughout all eternity.

And that is faith in your son Jesus Christ.

We thank you for it.

We thank you for what you're doing.

We thank you for what you're going to do and that we get to be a part of it.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we thank you for it.
