  1. Okay, Saints, this is part four in the Jehovah Titles, and this is number three of the actual Jehovah titles, Jehovah our banner or signal.

  2. We're gonna get into what this means in a minute.

  3. But to start off with that first verse at the top of your paperwork, in 2 Corinthians 1, it reads, For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, by me, Sylvanus, and Timothy, was not yes and no, but in him was yes.

  4. For all the promises of God in him are yes, and in him amen to the glory of God through us.

  5. Again, all the promises of God find their yes and amen in the Christ.

  6. Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of all the promises of God.

  7. Now, bear in mind, we're just looking at these Jehovah titles in light of what God promises to be to his people, to his covenant people, so that we can understand that God is going to be all these things toward us who have a covenant relation with him through the blood of Jesus Christ.

  8. God is who he is, and he is that to his people by a covenant.

  9. Okay?

  10. So we get the benefits of God as Jehovah to us his people.

  11. Now remember the title Jehovah refers to God and covenant relation to his people.

  12. God's characteristics toward his people.

  13. He is Jehovah to us through the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  14. Perhaps the title Jehovah or Yahweh, as it's put in Hebrew, is best understood as it's given in Genesis 21.33, the everlasting God.

  15. See, Jehovah is the same forever toward his people.

  16. It also says in Malachi 3.6, for I am the Lord, I change not.

  17. In other words, God is who he is as Jehovah toward his people forever.

  18. He is never going to change.

  19. So once we gather an understanding of who God is as Jehovah toward us, those realities are never going to change, saints.

  20. Every single one of these realities of Jehovah, as we're looking at these titles, is true through Jesus Christ's redemptive work.

  21. What we're looking at this time is Jehovah Nisi.

  22. It's the third of the Jehovah titles used in the scriptures.

  23. And it means Jehovah, our banner, signal, or sign.

  24. This is to declare victory over the enemy.

  25. And if you go to Exodus 17, Genesis Exodus 17.

  26. Exodus 17.

  27. And in verse, well, we gotta start here.

  28. We're gonna look at verse 15 where this title is used, and then we're going to back up in the context.

  29. So verse 15 says, Moses built an altar and named it the Lord is my banner.

  30. The Lord is my banner.

  31. This is from the Hebrew Jehovanisi.

  32. The Lord our banner or the Lord my banner.

  33. Again, this word banner could be understood as signal or sign.

  34. Now let's back up in the context here and find out why Moses built this altar and called it Jehovanese, okay?

  35. To get an understanding of what this means.

  36. Because this understanding will carry uh carry out to be true all through the scriptures.

  37. Okay?

  38. So verse 8.

  39. Then Amalek came and fought against Israel.

  40. Okay, now Israel were God's covenant people under the old covenant.

  41. Okay?

  42. So verse 9, so Moses said to Joshua, choose men for us to go out, fight against Amalek.

  43. Tomorrow I will station myself on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand.

  44. Joshua did as Moses told him and fought against Amalek.

  45. And Moses, Aaron, and her went up to the top of the hill.

  46. So it came about when Moses held his hand up that Israel prevailed.

  47. And when he let his hand down, Amalek prevailed.

  48. But Moses' hands were heavy.

  49. You know, he's trying to hold them up for too long a time.

  50. Then they took a stone and put it under him, under Moses, and he sat on it.

  51. And Aaron and her supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other.

  52. Thus his hands were steady until the sunset.

  53. So Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

  54. In other words, the battle was won.

  55. Amalek lost.

  56. Verse 14, then the Lord said to Moses, Write this in a book as a memorial, and recite it to Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.

  57. Now, there's what God has declared.

  58. I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.

  59. Then, verse 15, Moses built an altar and named it the Lord is my banner.

  60. And he said, The Lord has sworn, the Lord will have war against Amalek from generation to generation.

  61. Now Jehovanisi, according to this context, means that God will wipe out the enemies, okay, of his covenant people.

  62. So here you go.

  63. God is our banner through Jesus Christ, that he will utterly wipe out our enemies also.

  64. See, but our enemies are not physical, they're spiritual, right?

  65. Under the old covenant, what you see many times as physical can be carried over into the spiritual under the new covenant.

  66. This is a great truth to understand.

  67. That Amalek was a physical enemy of God's covenant people, Israel.

  68. The devil and all the devil spirit realm, see, they are our spiritual enemy, and God swears that he will wipe them out utterly.

  69. Blot them out utterly.

  70. Well, before we get into this, we needed to look at these next two verses on your paper because of the truth that they bear.

  71. Watch this.

  72. This is from Psalm 60 in verse 4.

  73. Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee.

  74. Now that word banner is our word nissi.

  75. This isn't Jehovah Nissi.

  76. This is just the word nisi, to understand what Nissi means.

  77. It means banner or sign or signal.

  78. And what's it a sign or a signal for?

  79. Well, watch.

  80. Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, a sign or a signal, that it may be displayed because of the truth.

  81. Because of the truth.

  82. So again, let me read verse 4.

  83. Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee.

  84. You know, a sign, a signal.

  85. That it, this banner or a signal, may be displayed because of the truth.

  86. See, God guarantees victory over the enemies.

  87. Over our enemies.

  88. And how?

  89. It says, because of the truth.

  90. Because of the truth.

  91. Verse 5.

  92. That thy beloved may be delivered.

  93. Well, praise God.

  94. Save with thy right hand and answer us.

  95. So God guarantees victory over our enemies.

  96. And how?

  97. Because of the truth.

  98. This is a very important point to where we're going to go.

  99. Now in Isaiah 11, there's another great truth here.

  100. Isaiah 11.

  101. This chapter is a prophecy of the coming Christ before he came the first time.

  102. Well, read verse 1 to get into this.

  103. It says, then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse.

  104. Now Jesse was the father of David, King David, and God had promised David that the Christ would come out of his loins.

  105. So again, then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, just as God promised.

  106. And a branch from his roots will bear fruit.

  107. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him, and the spirit of wisdom and understanding, and the spirit of counsel and strength, and the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

  108. And he will delight in the fear of the Lord, and he will not judge by what his eyes see, nor make a decision by what his ears hear.

  109. But with righteousness he will judge the poor, and decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth.

  110. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth and with the breath of his lips, he will slay the wicked.

  111. Also righteousness will be the belt about his loins, and faithfulness the belt about his waist.

  112. This is all regarding the Christ.

  113. Now when we get down to verse 10, it says, Then in that day, the coming day, well, back up to verse 9, talking about the end days, and they will not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

  114. Oh, how the saints yearn for that day.

  115. When the knowledge of the Lord covers the earth, covers the earth.

  116. Well, the Christ is going to bring this in with his return.

  117. Verses 10 and 11.

  118. Then in that day the nations will resort to the root of Jesse, to the Christ, who will stand as a signal, a nice, a signal, a sign, a banner for the peoples, and his resting place will be glorious.

  119. His resting place will be glorious.

  120. We get the promise of resting in that promised Christ, who would will bring the knowledge of the Lord to cover the earth.

  121. What a great thing.

  122. Verse 11.

  123. Then it will happen on that day that the Lord will again recover the second time with his hand, the remnant of his people, who will remain from all these places.

  124. Okay, then verse 12, and he will lift up a standard, a nice for the nations, and assemble the banished ones of Israel, and will gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

  125. This is what's going to happen in the end, saints, in the very end.

  126. So God shows us that the Christ is the signal, the sign, see, the banner.

  127. And that is true for us today.

  128. See, if you go on your paperwork to that next paragraph, uh third or fourth from the bottom, it says, mankind's complete deliverance from our enemies is promised to be manifested through the Messiah, the Christ.

  129. This has been the ultimate promise through the Christ as given in the very first promise in the Bible in Genesis 3.15.

  130. The enemy will be destroyed.

  131. So again, this promise of the enemy being destroyed again is through the Christ.

  132. Through the Christ.

  133. And quoting from Genesis 3.15, God says to the serpent, I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed.

  134. It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

  135. So this promised Christ and what he's going to bring is going to bring the bruising of the head of the serpent, meaning his destruction.

  136. And I gave you those three other sections to look at in light of this.

  137. This is handled many places in the scriptures, but those three places are very clear.

  138. The enemy is going to be destroyed in the end, saints.

  139. And this is Jehovah Nisi, that God has given us this signal, this banner in the Christ, that the devil and all his cohorts will be destroyed.

  140. What a great thing.

  141. Then that quote at the bottom of page 1 from Romans 16, 20.

  142. This is written to the saints in Romans.

  143. See, in the book of Romans, and the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.

  144. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

  145. So again, the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.

  146. His end is coming, saints, and he knows it.

  147. You remind him of his end.

  148. His end is coming.

  149. Until then it says, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

  150. The top of page two.

  151. Another verse regarding this is from Revelation 20, verse 10, where it reads, And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where are also the beast and the false prophet, and they shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.

    Revelation 20:10

  152. He knows it's coming, saints, and he is going to be crushed under our feet shortly, and this is what's promised in Jehovah-Nisse, that God has given us this banner, this ensign, this signal in the Christ that the enemies of the Lord are going to be destroyed.

  153. Well, Jehovah Nisi also teaches us that Satan and his cohorts will never again cause us affliction and suffering.

  154. It's a wonderful truth from the next chapter in Revelation, chapter 21, where it says, And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes.

    Revelation 21 chapter mention

  155. Look at that promise, saints, the destruction of the enemy, and with it comes the wiping away of every tear from our eyes.

  156. And there shall be no more death.

  157. Praise God.

  158. Boy, that's enough right there of a victory.

  159. Look at that.

  160. Nor sorrow, nor sighing, or nor nor sorrow, nor crying out, neither shall there be any more pain.

  161. Any more pain.

  162. That includes physical and mental.

  163. Mental pain is some of the worst.

  164. For the former things have passed away.

  165. The former.

  166. The previous things have passed away.

  167. With the coming of the new heavens and new earth, saints, no more pain, normal no more sorrow, no more crying.

  168. Every tear will be dried.

  169. Then he who sat on the throne said, Behold, I am making all things new.

  170. And he said to me, Write, for these words are faithful and true.

  171. Did you hear those words, saints?

  172. These words are faithful and true.

  173. This is going to come to pass, whether anybody accepts it, believes it, or whatever.

  174. This is going to come to pass because God has guaranteed it in the Christ.

  175. Well, before those moments of all this taking place, what about during this age?

  176. Well, Jesus Christ has already defeated the adversary and his cohorts.

  177. We know this is going to be the devil's end, but what about right now?

  178. Well, he's already defeated saints, and this is one of the great hidden truths that's in Christ.

  179. Very few people understand that the devil is already a defeated foe.

  180. But the scriptures have made it very clear.

  181. You can take any one of these scriptures we're going to look at, and it states this truth.

  182. But we're going to look at all of them.

  183. It says in 1 John 3.8, the second part of it, to this end was the Son of God manifested, made known, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

  184. That he might destroy the So why was the Son of God manifested?

  185. To destroy the works of the devil.

  186. The next one from Hebrews 2.14, since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself, the Christ, likewise partook of the same nature.

  187. That through death he might destroy him who had the power of death, that is the devil.

  188. That word destroy means makes inoperable.

  189. Neutralize, make inoperable, that he might destroy him who has the power of death.

  190. That is the devil.

  191. See, the devil was neutralized.

  192. He is put out of his powerful position.

  193. He has no more authority over the saints.

  194. Why?

  195. Because Jesus Christ died on the cross for every sin of the whole world.

  196. This is still a great secret, even amongst the saints.

  197. Because we don't really realize the power of the cross.

  198. That the devil was completely defeated by that one work of righteousness through Jesus Christ.

  199. He is defeated.

  200. Everything that he tries to pull over the saints is a bluff.

  201. It's a bluff, saints, because he has been defeated by the cross.

  202. Watch.

  203. The next one quoted from Weymouth, this is from Colossians 2.15.

  204. And the hostile princes and rulers he shook off from himself and boldly displayed them as his conquests, when by the cross he triumphed over them.

  205. See, it was the cross of Christ that defeated all the princes of darkness.

  206. All those authorities of the kingdom of darkness.

  207. They were all defeated by that one blow, the cross of Jesus Christ.

  208. Why?

  209. Because the cross of Christ paid for every sin, every single one of the whole world.

  210. Now, when we believe on Christ, we accept this contractual agreement, so to speak.

  211. So now Jesus Christ bore our personal sins at Calvary, that every single one of them was paid for.

  212. Now what does that mean?

  213. Well, sin gave the devil leverage over people.

  214. It was only sin that gave him leverage.

  215. How much leverage did the devil display over Adam or Eve in the garden before they disobeyed God?

  216. Well, you know how much.

  217. It was zip, nothing.

  218. He couldn't do a thing over them.

  219. That's why he had to trick Eve.

  220. So that sin would enter into the world.

  221. Now he has this leverage over man to manipulate, to cause oppression, depression, fears, anxieties, and the rest of the package.

  222. But he was defeated by the cross.

  223. Every s let's read that verse again from Weymouth.

  224. Look at this.

  225. Colossians 2.15.

  226. And the hostile princes and rulers he shook off from himself and boldly displayed them as his conquests, when by the cross he triumphed over them.

  227. Saints, we should no longer put up with any supposed authority of darkness over us.

  228. Anything that's contrary to the way God would have it to be is darkness.

  229. Another way to look at it is anything that's a result of sin is darkness, and it's all been defeated by the cross of Christ.

  230. You know, I have Ephesians 1.22 quoted on here, but let's look at this in the context a little more.

  231. Ephesians 1.

  232. Ephesians 1, this is in the midst of a prayer.

  233. And this prayer of Paul's in light of the saints, or for the saints, is that God would give us a spirit of wisdom and revelation in his knowledge, that the eyes of our understanding would be enlightened.

  234. Saints, that our eyes would be open to these realities.

  235. There's three pointed out here.

  236. We're just going to hit the last one in verse 19.

  237. The third one, what does God want our eyes open to?

  238. Well, verse 19 says, to what is the surpassing greatness of his power toward us who believe.

  239. The surpassing greatness of his power toward us who believe, in accordance with the working of the strength of his might, which he brought about in Christ when he raised him from the dead, and seated him at his own right hand in heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come.

  240. And hath put all things in subjection under his feet.

  241. So what is included in all things?

  242. Well, by the context here, back up to verse 21.

  243. All rule and authority and power, and you have to supply the word all here.

  244. Far above all rule and all authority and all power and all dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come.

  245. Well, we read about everything is going to be destroyed in the end that's contrary to God by way of Christ.

  246. When he returns, he's going to bring that ultimate tossing into that lake of fire and brimstone in the end of everything contrary to God.

  247. Well, what about right now, saints?

  248. It says in verse 21, not only in this age, but also in the one to come.

  249. Everything has already been defeated.

  250. It's waiting for that time when Jesus Christ personally is present to cause everything to come to its ultimate end.

  251. Until then, this day and age is the same as that one in that all these guys are defeated.

  252. Every name that is named.

  253. And to put the emphasis to it again in verse 22, and have put all things in subjection under his feet.

  254. Under his feet.

  255. See, in that culture, something that's under the feet of another is in subjection to it.

  256. In submission to it.

  257. So something that is under Jesus Christ's feet is in submission to him.

  258. That's why everything has to bow down to that name of Jesus Christ.

  259. We have only begun to see the realization of this.

  260. We're just getting our feet wet with this.

  261. Because everything has to submit to that name.

  262. Every devil spirit that Jesus Christ went up against bowed down to his authority.

  263. They bowed down so far, they knew they were going to get kicked out of that one man that was in the tombs.

  264. And so the king devil spirit said, Allow us to go into that herd of swine.

  265. And Jesus Christ gave them leave, it says.

  266. Gave them leave.

  267. He allowed them to go.

  268. So you know where they went?

  269. Not into the cattle.

  270. Only where he allowed them to go.

  271. He was in total authority over them.

  272. Now we are in Christ.

  273. Not only was Jesus Christ raised from the dead and seated at the right hand of God far above all these things, but look at chapter 2, verse 6.

  274. Well, you've got to read verse 5.

  275. It's talking about us here in verse 5 and 6.

  276. Even when we were dead in our transgressions, he made us alive together with Christ.

  277. By grace you have been saved.

  278. Watch verse 6.

  279. And raised us up with him.

  280. And seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

  281. Where, saints?

  282. Where is Jesus Christ seated?

  283. Again, back up to chapter 1.

  284. Look at verse 21.

  285. Far above all rule and all authority and all power.

  286. And the list goes on.

  287. Everything is under the feet of Jesus Christ because of his position over it all.

  288. We have been raised with Christ and seated with him at God's right hand, above it all.

  289. There's Jehovah-Nissi saints right there.

  290. The enemies have been defeated.

  291. Their whole purposes have been frustrated by Christ's work.

  292. Jesus Christ destroyed, neutralized the works of the devil.

  293. He no longer has authority over anything of God's people whatsoever.

  294. Your properties, your thoughts, your ways, what you do, anything.

  295. You are completely purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ.

  296. It doesn't say mostly.

  297. You are completely purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ.

  298. What sin was not paid for?

  299. Look, if there was one that wasn't paid for, the devil would find that thing and use that leverage against you.

  300. But he doesn't have it and he knows it.

  301. Do you know it?

  302. Do you realize that you have been placed in Christ Jesus far above all these authorities of darkness?

  303. That whole kingdom of darkness.

  304. You're above it all, saints, because you're seated in Christ.

  305. That's what the truth says.

  306. Well, the next point on your paper, so what are we to do with this information?

  307. Well, it's simple.

  308. It's trust it to be true.

  309. See, just put it on.

  310. It is our shield against all the fiery darts, the attacks of the evil one.

  311. And quoted in your paper is Ephesians 6.16, talking about putting on this whole armor of God, it says, withal, taking up the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.

  312. So who quenches them?

  313. We do with what?

  314. The shield of faith.

  315. That is the faith of Jesus Christ.

  316. What is true, the faith, what to believe in regards to him, the faith of Jesus Christ.

  317. You take up, you take it up.

  318. Take up that shield of faith wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one with that shield.

  319. To help understand this, that next quote from Romans 13 says, The night is far spent, the day is at hand.

  320. Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

  321. Saints, what does armor do?

  322. It protects us.

  323. It protects us.

  324. It says to put on the armor of light.

  325. If you jump to verse 14 there, how do we do this?

  326. It says, put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ.

  327. Him as Lord, Him as Lord.

  328. What He accomplished for us is to govern us, to be our Lord.

  329. That's how He is Lord over us.

  330. See, it's that shield of faith, believing what's true in Christ.

  331. See, this is to put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make not provision for the flesh to fulfill the lust thereof.

  332. See, He is our shield.

  333. We're to take unto us that shield of faith wherewith we quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

  334. The devil's a defeated foe and he knows it.

  335. He knows when we take up the shield of faith, putting on the mind of Christ and what's true in Christ, he loses a hundred percent of the time, and he knows it, saints.

  336. See, in the end, Satan will be crushed under our feet.

  337. That's the devil's guaranteed end.

  338. Jesus Christ did the work to make this happen.

  339. Yet, right now, Jesus Christ already has defeated the devil by the cross, having paid for every sin which could otherwise be held against us.

  340. Now the devil has no leverage whatsoever against us.

  341. His only tactic, saints, his only tactic that he has left is to keep us from realizing his defeat.

  342. The only way to do this is by a lack of knowledge or by overwhelming us with contrary information to what's true in Christ.

  343. But either one of those really isn't the issue because truth still stands.

  344. See, the devil is the defeated foe and he knows it.

  345. As we simply accept what's true in Christ, putting on that shield of faith, every single fiery dart of the wicked one is quenched.

  346. He has no leverage, saints, because sin is defeated.

  347. That was his only leverage against us, is sin.

  348. Remember when he went up, he approached God regarding Job in Job 1?

  349. Well, look at it.

  350. In Job 1, look at this.

  351. Now keep in mind this was before there was a redeemer.

  352. Before Jesus Christ accomplished what he accomplished in our behalf.

  353. So Satan approaches the Lord.

  354. Wow.

  355. Okay, verse 6, we'll pick it up there.

  356. It says, Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.

  357. And the Lord said to Satan, From where do you come?

  358. And Satan answered the Lord and said, From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.

  359. He's doing as usual, he's just looking for trouble.

  360. And the Lord said to Satan, Have you considered my servant Job?

  361. For there is no one like him on all the earth.

  362. See, here without the Redeemer, this thing rested upon Job.

  363. How much did he walk with God?

  364. But you've got to understand, under the New Covenant saints, our walk depends on Christ's work, not our own.

  365. Our walk depends on simply accepting and believing what Christ has accomplished for us.

  366. But here, Job didn't have that.

  367. So in verse 8 again, the Lord said to Satan, Have you considered my servant Job?

  368. For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man fearing God and turning away from evil.

  369. Then Satan, he says, Aha! He answered the Lord, Does Job fear God for nothing?

  370. Have you not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has on every side?

  371. You have blessed the work of his hands and his possessions, and increase and have increased in the land.

  372. His possessions have increased in the land.

  373. But put forth your hand now and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.

  374. Then the Lord said to Satan, Behold, all that he has is in your power, only do not put forth your hand on him.

  375. In other words, to take his life.

  376. So Satan departed from the presence of the Lord.

  377. See what he was doing?

  378. He was trying to use this thing against Job.

  379. What thing?

  380. Well, you have to back up in the context to see it here.

  381. Well, Job had all these possessions.

  382. You get to verse four.

  383. Now his sons used to go and hold a feast in the house in the house of each one on his day.

  384. And they would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them.

  385. Then the days of feasting had completed their cycle, and Job would send and consecrate them, rising up early in the morning and offering burnt offerings according to the number of them all.

  386. For Job said, Perhaps my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.

  387. He said, Perhaps.

  388. Perhaps.

  389. Thus Job did continually.

  390. This is what's behind that Satan trying to leverage sin against Job.

  391. See, he's trying to get any foothold he can.

  392. Saints, he lost every foothold against us by Christ's work, every single one of them.

  393. Because Jesus Christ is the full payment for sin.

  394. He has no more leverage against us whatsoever, and he knows it.

  395. So all he can do is try to bluff us.

  396. All he can do is try to steer us away from what's true in Christ once we know it.

  397. First step, of course, is to keep us from this knowledge, keep us ignorant of it.

  398. But once we start getting it, you know, to barrage us with all these things that are contrary.

  399. So we start thinking according to the circumstances.

  400. You know, saints, truth is true.

  401. The devil's defeated and he knows it.

  402. So we stand in Christ Jesus with that shield of faith in the air constantly, knowing that Jesus Christ already defeated him in every way, and he has no more power over God's people.

  403. So when situations come up, we put him up against the cross of Christ, knowing that the cross of Christ has already defeated him.

  404. So now all we know is victory in Christ.

  405. And this is where Jehovah is Jehovah-Nisi toward us.

  406. See, through Jesus Christ's redemptive work.

  407. He, God, through Christ, is our victory over our spiritual enemies.

  408. Every single time, saints, God has caused the victory in Christ.

  409. This is why to close here in Romans 8.

  410. Romans 8, these verses are written to you, to you, as God's covenant people.

  411. Says in verse 37, In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

  412. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  413. God's love is more powerful than anything the devil can throw at us.

  414. And Jesus Christ's work has already defeated him.

  415. So he knows that God's work in Christ is more powerful than anything he can come up with against God and his people.

  416. That's why, that's why, if you go in your paperwork up there, on the middle of all those quotes, in the middle of page two, it says, quote from Matthew 16, 18.

  417. It says, And I also say unto thee, thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church.

  418. And watch these words, saints, and the gates of hell, Hades, shall not prevail against it.

  419. Shall not overcome it.

  420. Against what?

  421. The church.

  422. The gates of hell will not overcome it.

  423. Jesus Christ's work is always more powerful.

  424. And in the end we are going to see that fully manifested.

  425. And praise God that today, saints, we can see it manifested more and more as these truths echo in our hearts.

  426. Jesus Christ defeated the devil, and this is how Jehovah is Jehovah Nissi toward us.

  427. Our victory over our spiritual enemies.

  428. Father, I pray that this message will ring in the hearts of your people all over the face of the earth.

  429. That you are Jehovah Nissi.

  430. You are Jehovah in all of your characteristics toward us, Father, and everything you are as Jehovah toward us, your covenant people.

  431. And I pray that your people can rise up together as one, with one mind and one mouth, over all the onslaughts of the devil, just laughing in his face, holding up the work of Jesus Christ against him in every situation.

  432. That he is reminded that he's defeated and that Jesus Christ's work is always victorious, always has the victory over every situation.

  433. And I pray this victory in the hearts and lives of your people first, so that it would be manifested all over the face of the earth, Father, by the power of your truth.

  434. And that name of Jesus Christ.

  435. Amen.
