The Daily Walk | 09.23.2026 | Nancy Williams | Hebrews 10:24-25

Hi everyone, it's Nancy with your Wednesday edition of our daily walk.

We've spent some specifically focused time together these past few weeks to unpack our church's mission and vision.

We've read in our study booklets, we've talked in our life groups, and we've heard Pastor Aaron preaching on how we're to live our lives as reflectors, magnifying Christ's love and his character to those around us.

We've been challenged to consider how our daily lives can match the teachings of Jesus, how our words and actions show who Jesus is to a dark world that needs him.

Then as we grow in Christ and gain knowledge of what Jesus did for us on the cross, we can develop a deep passion to tell others about Jesus.

Romans 1.16 says, For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.

So the gospel is not just a story to tell, it's a reality we live out daily.

Our booklet asks us this question How are we making Christ's character visible to the people around us?

Well, we need to not brush past that question lightly, as Jesus had much to say about how we are to share his love as we connect with and serve others.

This Sunday we will have a special time in between our gatherings and after the second one to recognize many of the ministries of our church that are meeting needs, reflecting Christ's character and sharing the gospel as the Holy Spirit changes lives of individuals, families, our community, and the world.

In our Mission and Values booklet, we find these words.

It means transforming from passive church members into active servants of grace.

Oh, I love that phrase.

Servants of grace.

When we serve inside the church, we strengthen the body.

When we serve outside the church, we reveal the heart of the Father to a world desperately looking for hope.

Hebrews 10 verses 24 and 25 challenge us.

Hebrews 10:24

Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

So I encourage you to take time to stop by the tables of this Sunday as you ask the Lord to speak to your heart about how He wants you to be involved in magnifying Christ and sharing the gospel in our homes, the Wimberley Valley, and beyond.

Perhaps it's in a way that's familiar to you, and perhaps the Lord will prompt you to step out of your comfort zone with the assurance that as He calls you, He will equip you and guide you as you join others in serving Him.
