Lake of Fire

To my live stream this evening. It is very good

to be with you and I'm very grateful that you

decided to show up to my live stream here in

North Dakota as it's, well, follows upon us. It's cloudy,

pretty chilly breeze out. It's like 58 degrees last time

I checked. So kind of chilly. Got a very important

topic for us today, the Lake of Fire. So Let's

get right into it. The different, well, theological myths that

tries to dispel this biblical truth, but that is what

it is. So anyway, God bless everybody. Matthew Miller here

from Maranatha Ministries. We here are going to take a

biblical look at the lake of fire, the eternal punishment. So,

You have to realize that, I'm just going to reiterate

this again, we are Biblicists. There's only two types. There

are Biblicists and there are Rejectionists. Those who reject the

Word and supplant it with their own traditions. These traditions

are theological myths. They have no basis in the eternal Word.

They have no basis there. So, take note. When you

bring this up to Lake of Fire, many many many

rejectionists will say no there's no eternal punishment like the

bible says you get annihilated well we have to dispel

that right from the get-go because you need to understand

that the greek word for annihilation is in the new

testament and that's never what is used so take note

that here in hebrews chapter 8, verse 13, in that

Hebrews 8:13

he says a new covenant, praise God, the blood of

the new covenant. There's only one way through the Lord

Jesus Christ, whether you be a Judaist or a Gentile.

So let me just begin again. In that he says

a new covenant has made the first obsolete. Now what

is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

This is the Greek word for annihilate. That's never what

is used. That's never what comes out of Jesus Christ's

mouth when he speaks of it or when the words

separately in different chapters and verses and books speak about this.

So take note. Please write this down. I need to

encourage you. The only way for you to escape these

cunningly devised fables, these theological myths, is to saturate your

psyche with the word. You need to read it. When

you're not reading it, you need to study the Hebrew

and Greek. And when you're not doing that, you need

to listen to it. You need to saturate your psyche

with the word. So in your Strong's Concordance, this is G854,

to annihilate. So let's take a listen to this, and

I'm going to continue doing this in hopes that you

all get the hang of it, realizing that you can

even learn how to pronounce these Greek words. So take

a listen. to G854 from the Blue Letter Bible. It's

very easy to do. Strong G854. Afanismos. Afanismos. Afanismos. Afanismos.

That means to annihilate. Now, not only is it here

in the New Testament. Take note that it is also

in the Septuagint. So it's not only in the New Testament,

it's in the Septuagint as well. And you need to

realize that we could go into lengthy discussion with this

because it is there in the Greek Old Testament 51

times in 49 verses. So obviously we don't have time

to talk about that. But we have dispelled this theological

myth that no, there's not eternal punishment. You get annihilated. No,

that is an outright lie. That's a lie. That's what

these traditionalists do. That's what these rejectionists do. They reject

the eternal word. There is the word. So, with that

in mind, let's take a look at the five times

where the lake of fire is referenced. It's all in

the book of Revelation. Let's read these verses, Revelation 19

Revelation 19:20

verse 20. Then the beast was captured and with him

the false prophet who worked signs in his presence by

which he deceived those who received the mark of the

beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were

cast alive into the lake of fire, burning with brimstone.

Next chapter in verse 10, Revelation chapter 20 verse 10.

Revelation 20:10

The devil who deceived them was cast into the lake

of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false

prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night

forever and ever. So take note. If you hear some

pastor or some priest or some Bible teacher talking that

you're annihilated, they're lying to you. There's no way around

the Greek. I mean, you can avoid it. You can

say that it's saying something that it's not saying. But

the word always says what it means. And because God's

word is so highly dynamic and polysemic, make no mistakes

about it, it not only says exactly what it means,

it means more than one thing. So if you reject

what it says, you are left in oblivion. Because you

have no hope in the Trinity. in the traditions of men.

You just quite simply have no hope. So, next verse

is that same chapter in verse 14. So, Revelation chapter 20,

Revelation 20:14

verse 14. Then death and haze were cast into the

lake of fire. This is the second death. The very

next verse, verse 15. And anyone not found written in

the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

The next chapter in verse 8. So, Revelation chapter 21,

Revelation 21:8

verse 8. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the abominable, murderers,

the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have

their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone,

which is the second death. It's very important that you

realize this is why Jesus Christ incorporated this and it's

important that you realize that Jesus Christ come right out

and said this. We all know that when he comes

into his kingdom, he does this. Looking right here at

Matthew chapter 25 and verse 41. Then he will also

say to those on his left hand, Depart from me,

you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and

his angels. So now you know, if you live like

the devil and profess the name of Christ, you're trampling

the Son of God. Please write this down. Hebrews chapter 10,

Hebrews 10:26–29

verses 26 through 29. It's talking about churchgoers who practice iniquity.

A list of those there in the verse in Revelation.

So take no offense to what the Bible says, because

it means what it says. You just have to accept reality.

God-given reality is in the Word. It can be found

not in the traditions of men, not in theological myths

or cunningly devised fables. It can only be found in

the Word. So, We could elaborate on this, but now

you have a rhyme and a reason as to why

this place was created. It was created for the devil

and his angels. And all those who follow him, all

those who live like the devil, will join them in

the lake of fire. Because if you're not written in

the book of life, you're going into the lake of fire.

So not only do we have this dynamic here of

now we know, well, Now we know why it was prepared.

It wasn't prepared for people. People are made in God's image.

We're supposed to follow and worship the Lord. So, take note.

This place also has a proper name. In Greek, it's

called Guyana. Now, write this down. Okay? Write this down.

It is G-10-1. 67 in the Strong's Concordance. You need

to perform Seth edification. You need to learn how to

use the word. You need to learn how to get

to the word. The word is not in a translation.

You need to look at the Hebrew and the Greek.

You're going to find out this word actually comes from

the Hebrew. It means it means the valley of the

son of Haman. That's what it actually means. This is

the valley outside of Jerusalem where they would take all

the refuge, all the garbage, and would burn it. So

this lake has a proper name. It's called Guyana. That's

what the Lord Jesus Christ himself called it. That's what

he called it. So take note. And let me just

give you those. In the Strong's Concordance in the Hebrew,

that's H1516 coupled with H2011. It's the proper name and

then valid. These two things are put together. In the Greek,

it just forms one word, kiana. So let's take a

look at these. It's pretty important that you categorically understand.

This is why it says what it says. This is

completely different from Hades. Completely different from Hades. Matthew chapter 5,

Matthew 5:22

verse 22, 29, and 30. It's three verses here in

Matthew chapter 5. But I say to you that whoever

Matthew 5 · chapter mention

is angry with his brother without a cause shall be

in danger of judgment. And whoever says to his brother, Raka,

shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says,

you fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Here,

it's Giana of fire. That's the proper name of this lake. So,

down in verse 29. If your right eye causes you

to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you.

For it is more profitable... that one of your members perish,

then your whole body to be cast into Giana, the

eternal lake of fire. And the next verse, verse 30.

And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut

it off and cast it from you, for it is

more profitable that one of your members perish than your

whole body to be cast into hell. So now we're

going to jump over to Matthew chapter 10, verse 28.

Matthew 10:28

And do not fear those who can kill the body

but cannot kill the soul, but rather fear him who

is able to destroy both the soul and body in hell. Here,

once again, Iana. That's what's being referenced here. Matthew 18,

Matthew 18:9

verse 9. And if your eye causes you to sin,

pluck it out and cast it from you. It is

better for you to enter life with one eye rather

than having two eyes, be cast into hell fire. Matthew

Matthew 23:15

chapter 23, verse 15. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!

For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte,

and when he has won, you make him twice as

much a son of hell as yourselves. Here, Gianna. On

down in that same chapter in verse 33, serpents brought

of vipers. How will you escape the condemnation of hell? Here,

it's not Hades, it's Guiana, the eternal torment. So take note,

where are these scribes and Pharisees, these hypocrites right now?

Right now they're in Hades. They're going to go from

Hades to Guiana. you might want to consider being born again.

So Mark 9, 43 and 45 and 47 basically reiterates

the same things that we've read about if your hand

causes you to sin or having two feet causes you

to sin. But it's important that we read Mark 9,

45 because there it says we'll never be quenched. So

And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off.

It is better for you to enter life lame than

having two feet be cast into hell into the fire

that shall never be quenched. Here the Greek is very exacting.

This one verse proves once again that annihilationalism is a

theological myth. It's a cunningly devised fable made by those

people Who have fulfilled the role of. And are in

the shoes of. The scribes. The Pharisees. And the hypocrites.

They've just taken over. Because they are Judaist. In that

they follow Judas. They follow Judas Iscariot. And into perdition

they will go. So. Luke chapter 12, verse 5, it

Luke 12:5

says it a little bit different way. But I show

you whom you shall fear. Fear him who, after he

has killed, has power to cast you into hell. Yes,

I say to you, fear him. So take note. This

branches off into the simple fact there's no such thing

as this theological myth of eternal security. There's no such thing.

The Old Testament is redundant in saying that the fear

of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. This is

why they come up with this theological myth of penal substitution.

Jesus Christ did not take on your sin on the cross.

That's blasphemy. That's blasphemy. He sacrificed himself to be a

ransom for your sins. That's what the word says. Thus

saith the word. That's what the word says. You need

to hold to the word, not to the traditions of men.

James chapter 3, verse 6. And the tongue is a fire,

James 3:6

a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among

the members that it defiles the whole body and sets

on fire the course of nature and is set on

fire by hell. Here, not Hades, Guyana. It's Guyana. So

we could have really extrapolated and expanded on especially Matthew

Matthew 25:31–46

chapter 25, verses 31 through 46, where he comes right

out and says here that where the final destination of

the goats is. He plainly says, depart from me, you cursed,

into everlasting fire. prepared for the devil and his angels.

Annihilationism is a lie. It's a cunningly devised fable to

trick you into continue sinning in hopes that the spirit

will be quenched and you will insult the spirit of grace.

We can go there right now and existentially prove that.

I've already given you the verse. Hebrews chapter 10 verses

Hebrews 10:26–29

26 through 29. What happens once you've been water baptized?

What happens once you've taken the bread of communion? Once

you've taken the bread of the Eucharist? Do you continue sinning? No.

If you do, Instead of being baptized by the Holy Spirit,

it will be inverted. You will insult the Spirit of

grace and you will just remain in your sins. This

is what goats are. This is what tares are. It's

what they are. So, categorically, here we go. For if

we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of

the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins.

but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation

which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses'

law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or

three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment do you suppose

will be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of

God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which

he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit

of grace? That's why it's these people who will make

martyrs out of those of us who've been born again.

This is why. This is why they're going to take

part in the great apostasy. This is why. So you

need to come to grips with this. Whenever you hear

these cunningly devised fables and something being spoken of from

the pulpit or some teacher talking about those things, just

go to the Blue Letter Bible. Or go to the

Strong's Concordance if you have one in hard copy. You

have to investigate these things. You have to invest. them.

They are easily and readily dispelled just by the exact

words of the Lord Jesus Christ himself. You must be

born again or you will be destroyed forever. You've got

one of two choices. This is what the word says.

You can either live forever or you can die forever.

There is no such thing as annihilationism. That's a lie.

That's a cunningly devised fable by these theologians who want

you to continue in your sins. Once you've been water baptized,

You need to go to Matthew chapter 26. Verses 26

Matthew 26 · chapter mention

through 29. When you take the bread. That's symbolic of

being water baptized. When you take the blood. And the

blood is the life. That's symbolic. Of being baptized in

the spirit. You must be born again. Thus saith the

word of God. Those of you who have been born again,

I ask you to please and kindly, if you have

Christ said it would. And these water baptized church goers.

Are going to make martyrs out of us. And they're

going to make martyrs out of us. Over the word

and the word alone. Thus saith the word. In Revelation

Revelation 6:9

chapter 6 verse 9. Revelation chapter 22 verses 18 and 19.

Revelation 22:18

This is why they make martyrs of us. So those

of you that have been water baptized. And are in

a congregation. I'm not trying to disparage you at all.

I'm not attacking you. I'm not. We. Quite simply don't

have time for that anymore. So. Get ready. If Jesus

Christ was crucified in 30 AD. It's going to come

at us like breakneck speed. And nobody's going to see
