Brother Jim: I went from six months to a year and the season has just begun.

Brother Jim: So let me just say we are so glad that you.

Brother Jim: Yes, you have joined us today here on Bible bibs and a prayer.

Brother Jim: We believe the Bible is not just

Brother Jim: a book we read on Sunday

Brother Jim: morning.

Brother Jim: No, no, no. The book is God's word.

Brother Jim: It is alive.

Brother Jim: It speaks into our every day lives and it gives us, you and I

Brother Jim: direction for the road ahead, especially maybe that state

Brother Jim: route sixty six.

Brother Jim: And as added an added bonus, we

Brother Jim: believe in the power of prayer

Brother Jim: because sometimes we need we

Brother Jim: need more than an answer from

Brother Jim: Google AI.

Brother Jim: True.

Brother Jim: And sometimes.

Brother Jim: Sometimes we need more advice from a good friend or that good

Brother Jim: old friend Barney Fife, something we sometimes.

Brother Jim: Sometimes, my friends, we need to get on our knees and talk to

Brother Jim: God, take it to God himself.

Brother Jim: And that's what I'm talking about today.

Brother Jim: Each episode we are going to dig, dig, dig into scripture,

Brother Jim: ask the tough questions, talk about what God's Word means for

Brother Jim: you and I. This very day.

Brother Jim: And then bring it all before the Lord in prayer.

Brother Jim: Get ready to spend a few minutes discovering what God's Word has

Brother Jim: to say to you and to me.

Brother Jim: Because when the Bible gets into

Brother Jim: our heart and prayer gets on our

Brother Jim: lips, yes, God can change your

Brother Jim: life.

Brother Jim: And if you wanted to change the channel, you were the remote.

Brother Jim: How is life in Kernersville?

David: It's good.

Brother Jim: It's fair week.

Brother Jim: Fair week.

Brother Jim: Officially fair week.

Brother Jim: So we discussed that a little bit last week.

Brother Jim: And the joy.

Brother Jim: It's supposed to be rainy this week though.

Brother Jim: So what is going on Lord, with all the rain?

Brother Jim: It's going to be is that an indication, David.

Brother Jim: We might want to start putting an ark together.

Brother Jim: I mean.

David: Maybe we might want to consider it at least.

Brother Jim: I don't know.

Brother Jim: I'm starting to wonder.

Brother Jim: It's just.

Brother Jim: Yeah, but, you know, rain, rain, snow, fall, whatever.

Brother Jim: People will be at the fair.

David: They will.

Brother Jim: Yes. They get those good old dirusso sandwiches and lemonade.

David: I can go for a dirusso right about now.

Brother Jim: Maybe an RC Cola.

David: Yeah. Yeah.

Brother Jim: Yes. So, anything exciting going on?

David: No. Trying to get the grass mowed between all the raindrops.

David: And, you know, that's about where I live.

Brother Jim: So it's been about three and a half weeks since I've moved.

David: Wow. Well, mine's not quite that bad.

Brother Jim: I'm going to be baling.

Brother Jim: Baling?

David: Just get some goats and throw them out there.

Brother Jim: Uh, well, Ellie, our youngest, has very good friends who are in

Brother Jim: four H. So now all of a sudden she's getting a four H bug.

Brother Jim: And I asked her, well, what animal are you thinking about?

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: And she said a goat.

Brother Jim: So that's opening up a whole new world.

Brother Jim: And it's like you realize you're going to be the one taking care

Brother Jim: of the goat.

David: So, no, you realize you're going

David: to be the one taking care of the

David: goat.

David: Say that.

David: Don't say that.

Brother Jim: How many?

Brother Jim: Four people we got out there where the kids were all excited.

Brother Jim: You were excited until you were

Brother Jim: the one ending up cleaning up

Brother Jim: the pen and feeding and watering

Brother Jim: and out there at all hours,

Brother Jim: making sure that little goat was

Brother Jim: okay.

David: Now, if you've got a fenced in

David: field, can't they just kind of

David: be free?

Brother Jim: And we've got the area.

Brother Jim: But those goats, we had them

Brother Jim: growing up and they are the best

Brother Jim: at jumping fence, going through

Brother Jim: electric fence.

Brother Jim: I mean they have a mind of their own.

Brother Jim: So who knows that that story will be continued.

Brother Jim: I'll let you know.

David: I look forward to it.

Brother Jim: Yes, but, uh yeah, do you have a

Brother Jim: big enough place you can charge

Brother Jim: for parking?

David: Well, not.

Brother Jim: That you want to mess up that perfect grass.

David: No, I mean, I've got pretty much only street parking, and I'm

David: pretty sure the city of Dover would frown on me charging to

David: park on the street.

Brother Jim: I say, try it.

Brother Jim: David, what have you got to lose?

David: But I do, I do attempt to.

David: I keep try to keep my cards in

David: the street where we normally

David: are.

David: We normally park on the street to keep my driveway full.

David: For any friends or family that want to go to the fair.

Brother Jim: Now, that would be a great setup for us.

Brother Jim: For Bible and prayer there at the county fair.

Brother Jim: I mean, we'd be doing probably

Brother Jim: doing more eating and talking

Brother Jim: with our mouths full and

Brother Jim: lemonade and swatting, uh, the

Brother Jim: yellow jackets trying to get her

Brother Jim: lemonade.

David: I'll tell you, years ago, we did

David: have a booth under the

David: grandstand.

David: The church did.

Brother Jim: Yeah, I remember that.

Brother Jim: Yeah. Yeah.

Brother Jim: I called a couple of years ago.

Brother Jim: Speaking of that, to see what it would take to get back into it.

Brother Jim: And the lady was like, no, you didn't, ma'am.

Brother Jim: Yes we did.

Brother Jim: Well, no you didn't for years.

Brother Jim: I'm like, okay, ma'am, whatever.

Brother Jim: Been around a little bit longer than you, but okay.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: They wanted to set us way out in, uh, Timbuktu country.

Brother Jim: And I said, nah.

Brother Jim: And for the price and everything.

Brother Jim: No, the grandstand was like the

Brother Jim: the best place to be because you

Brother Jim: had shelter, you had some

Brother Jim: electric.

David: We were like the first one right inside the door there.

David: Just boom, right there at the corner.

David: Yeah.

David: We had prime real estate.

Brother Jim: We had prime real estate.

Brother Jim: Now it's swamp water out in Louisiana.

Brother Jim: So how about you folks?

Brother Jim: You're going to the fair T County Fair, one of the last

Brother Jim: ones here for the fair season.

Brother Jim: I believe there might be one more, I think.

Brother Jim: Is it Wayne County or someone up that way?

Brother Jim: Portage maybe.

David: I'm not sure.

Brother Jim: One more after this.

Brother Jim: But yeah, to get your fix on of

Brother Jim: all the good fried food that we

Brother Jim: Americans love.

Brother Jim: Yes, let's build up that cholesterol.

David: Oh yeah.

Brother Jim: Yes, but I gotta praise.

Brother Jim: I had two weddings, two weekends and I am done.

Brother Jim: Thank you.

Brother Jim: Yes, David was my main man here

Brother Jim: the other day up there in the

Brother Jim: crow's nest, directing all the

Brother Jim: music.

Brother Jim: And, uh, the funniest thing was we went to the reception

Brother Jim: afterwards and they had it, uh, at the bride's relative's house.

Brother Jim: And I watched two young men

Brother Jim: carrying the wedding cake down

Brother Jim: the hill.

Brother Jim: And I gotta say, I wish somebody would have filmed it, because my

Brother Jim: odds were the wedding cake is going to take.

David: Oh, yeah.

David: Oh, yeah.

Brother Jim: But by golly, they got it down to the place where it was

Brother Jim: supposed to be.

Brother Jim: But it was.

Brother Jim: I'm just thinking this is like out of the Three Stooges.

Brother Jim: You know, I was just waiting for

Brother Jim: curly to come up and do

Brother Jim: something.

Brother Jim: But yes, that that was entertaining, but, uh, yes.

Brother Jim: So football season, we're midway

Brother Jim: through here in high school

Brother Jim: football.

David: That's crazy.

Brother Jim: I know, it's like where.

Brother Jim: But they start so early too.

David: Oh yeah.

Brother Jim: But we've got a lot of stuff coming up.

Brother Jim: Hey, we've got, uh, our fall carnival.

Brother Jim: We'll be broadcasting more about a lot of activities.

Brother Jim: It's that time of year as we

Brother Jim: roll roll into September, into

Brother Jim: October, and then into the

Brother Jim: holidays.

Brother Jim: So we got to get this place ready for the holidays.

David: We actually got room.

David: Now we can put a Christmas tree in here if we wanted Two.

David: Yeah.

Brother Jim: The the Griswold.

David: Family Christmas.

Brother Jim: Tree, brother.

Brother Jim: And it is going to go sky high.

David: Well, you know, I've been side eyeing that chicken over there

Brother Jim: little bit of time here, but we

Brother Jim: Now, Patriots Day, as we said that horrible day.

Brother Jim: David, I know, I'm guessing you remember exactly where you were.

David: Yep.

Brother Jim: When it came on TV, and especially when the first plane

Brother Jim: hit the second plane and then when the tower.

Brother Jim: I think by the time the first tower came down, everybody was

Brother Jim: glued to their TV.

David: Yeah.

Brother Jim: Or listening in.

Brother Jim: And it was just unbelievable.

Brother Jim: So where were you, my friends, as Alan Jackson at Jackson

Brother Jim: sings, where were you?

Brother Jim: Where were you when the world

Brother Jim: stopped turning on that

Brother Jim: September day?

Brother Jim: And again, David, one of my fears is as we go on, it becomes

Brother Jim: more of a distant memory.

David: Yeah.

Brother Jim: You know, and and I was born in seventy two, so I missed, you

Brother Jim: know, the JFK assassination.

Brother Jim: Cuba.

Brother Jim: I'm sure you folks who were in

Brother Jim: that generation, you remember

Brother Jim: that time and again, as we

Brother Jim: celebrated this year, two

Brother Jim: hundred and fifty years as a

Brother Jim: country.

Brother Jim: We are so far removed from what those people gave up, what they

Brother Jim: did, that we have the freedoms this very moment right now.

Brother Jim: But again, I want to talk today about something that ought to

Brother Jim: matter to every American.

Brother Jim: Our country.

Brother Jim: Now for you joining in from other nations.

Brother Jim: Hey, your country as well.

Brother Jim: But today, I'm not speaking from a political party platform.

Brother Jim: Not for a candidate, not for an election.

Brother Jim: I'm speaking for America before

Brother Jim: we are Democrats or Republicans,

Brother Jim: conservatives, liberals, tree

Brother Jim: huggers, coffee lovers, you name

Brother Jim: it.

Brother Jim: We are Americans.

Brother Jim: And before we are Americans, and this is very important for those

Brother Jim: of us who follow Jesus Christ, We are Christians first.

Brother Jim: Our ultimate allegiance belongs to God.

Brother Jim: But that does not mean we should be indifferent toward the nation

Brother Jim: in which God has placed us.

Brother Jim: Do you ever think about that, David?

Brother Jim: What if you were born in, say, Vietnam?

Brother Jim: What if you were born in Brazil

Brother Jim: or in an African smaller

Brother Jim: country?

David: Yeah.

Brother Jim: How blessed we are to be born.

David: Oh, absolutely.

Brother Jim: America. Now, again, I am sorry,

Brother Jim: my friends, for you from other

Brother Jim: nations.

Brother Jim: I've never really been anywhere else.

Brother Jim: So I'm going off the media, which again, I don't put much

Brother Jim: stock in the media.

Brother Jim: But again, what a blessing it is.

Brother Jim: And I'm sure each of our

Brother Jim: countries that create this

Brother Jim: world, there are so many

Brother Jim: blessings.

Brother Jim: And just like here in the United States, we've got our blessings

Brother Jim: and we got our problems.

Brother Jim: Kind of a balance there anymore.

Brother Jim: But we should care.

Brother Jim: We should pray.

Brother Jim: We should serve, and we should

Brother Jim: be willing to sacrifice for the

Brother Jim: good of our neighbors and our

Brother Jim: communities.

Brother Jim: Now that is something anymore.

Brother Jim: It is very hard to find people to volunteer from coaches,

Brother Jim: churches, fire departments, and EMS, and I come from that

Brother Jim: volunteer is very hard to get anymore because everybody's so

Brother Jim: busy or everybody.

Brother Jim: How many Americans have just become so complacent?

Brother Jim: Or could I use the word David lazy?

Brother Jim: Yeah, they just don't want to get involved.

Brother Jim: That might add another few

Brother Jim: months on my probation, but

Brother Jim: okay.

Brother Jim: Freedom is not free.

Brother Jim: We sometimes use the word freedom as though it cost you

Brother Jim: and I. Nothing.

Brother Jim: But freedom has always carried a price.

Brother Jim: Men and women have served.

Brother Jim: Families have sacrificed.

Brother Jim: Families have suffered that ripple effect, if you will.

Brother Jim: And yes, many never come home.

Brother Jim: And for those.

Brother Jim: For many of them that come home carrying the wounds that not one

Brother Jim: of us can understand or see.

Brother Jim: So when we stand for the flag,

Brother Jim: when we hear the nation, the

Brother Jim: national anthem, when we

Brother Jim: remember and we should remember

Brother Jim: those who served, do not take it

Brother Jim: lightly.

Brother Jim: Somebody and I don't care.

Brother Jim: Black, white, green, blue,

Brother Jim: yellow, brown, whatever that

Brother Jim: somebody paid a price for the

Brother Jim: freedom you and I experienced

Brother Jim: today.

Brother Jim: Not just love the country when things are going our way.

Brother Jim: And how many of us do that?

Brother Jim: We just love our country when things are going our way.

Brother Jim: When the gas prices are down, the food prices are down.

Brother Jim: Oh my.

Brother Jim: It is easy to love America when the economy is good.

Brother Jim: It is easy to love America when your candidate whoop whoop,

Brother Jim: there He or she wins.

Brother Jim: It's easy to love America when

Brother Jim: you agree with the government,

Brother Jim: but what happens when you

Brother Jim: disagree?

Brother Jim: What happens when things just aren't going the way little

Brother Jim: Jimmy wants it?

Brother Jim: Can we still say I love my country?

Brother Jim: When is the last time you have heard that?

Brother Jim: My friends?

Brother Jim: When is the last time you have said it?

Brother Jim: I love my country.

Brother Jim: That's a good one, David.

Brother Jim: If we went around and did a survey of fifty people, how many

Brother Jim: would say, I love my country?

Brother Jim: Or they would start complaining

Brother Jim: right off the bat and tell us

Brother Jim: just what exactly they don't

Brother Jim: like?

David: Yeah.

Brother Jim: Yes, patriotism is blind.

Brother Jim: Agreement and disagreement does

Brother Jim: not automatically mean hatred of

Brother Jim: country.

Brother Jim: But boy, we sure like to disagree now, don't we?

Brother Jim: In this country, a healthy

Brother Jim: nation needs citizens who are

Brother Jim: willing to care enough to speak,

Brother Jim: to serve, to pray, and to

Brother Jim: participate.

Brother Jim: America does not need more anger.

Brother Jim: Turn on and I. Boy, it's bad turn on the television.

Brother Jim: Depends on what news station you're listening to.

Brother Jim: They're going to tell you the sky is blue the next.

Brother Jim: When you turn on, it's going to tell you the sky is red.

Brother Jim: Look at social media if you dare.

Brother Jim: That'll get something in your

Brother Jim: backside all fired up a good

Brother Jim: wbIr.

Brother Jim: Listen to the conversations around us.

Brother Jim: There is plenty of anger, plenty

Brother Jim: of division, plenty of hate,

Brother Jim: plenty of people shouting at one

Brother Jim: another.

Brother Jim: But maybe, just maybe, the church, the followers of Christ.

Brother Jim: We need to ask what would happen

Brother Jim: if Christians stopped adding

Brother Jim: fuel to the fire and started

Brother Jim: bringing light into the

Brother Jim: darkness.

Brother Jim: Boy David, I wish this is where we could do an off site, have a

Brother Jim: little fire and throw a little gasoline on it.

Brother Jim: Number one, it would be too much fun.

Brother Jim: Number two, I guarantee you five

Brother Jim: gallons would at least go into

Brother Jim: the fire.

Brother Jim: And I'm betting you and I be a little scorched.

David: Yeah, probably.

Brother Jim: Now, I don't have any hair to worry about, but eyebrows.

David: Eyebrows.

Brother Jim: Think about it.

Brother Jim: We are good.

Brother Jim: And I'm sorry, but I'm just speaking the truth.

Brother Jim: Because sometimes I find myself and there's conviction that

Brother Jim: comes with that.

Brother Jim: Instead of being the light, I'm

Brother Jim: throwing a little fuel on the

Brother Jim: fire.

Brother Jim: And we know how to push buttons.

Brother Jim: We know those people who disagree with us.

Brother Jim: And I honestly, I try and again,

Brother Jim: Dave and I, we've said this many

Brother Jim: a times, why talk about politics

Brother Jim: when you know you're not going

Brother Jim: to agree?

Brother Jim: There's other things to talk about.

Brother Jim: And we always go back to our number one thing food.

Brother Jim: You can always talk about food just as an example, but why do

Brother Jim: we do it?

Brother Jim: Do we get a little thrill out of doing that?

Brother Jim: Jesus said, you are the light of

Brother Jim: the world in Matthew five

Brother Jim: fourteen.

Brother Jim: That means our Christian witness does not disappear when we walk

Brother Jim: outside the church.

Brother Jim: It better follow us into our workplaces, our schools, our

Brother Jim: homes, our communities, and yes, even our churches into yes, even

Brother Jim: to our civic life.

Brother Jim: We cannot demand from America what we refuse to give.

Brother Jim: And maybe that's one of the biggest problems today.

Brother Jim: We become so entitled that we have forgotten that we need to

Brother Jim: give back to America.

Brother Jim: We want honesty, but we are not honest.

Brother Jim: We want respect.

Brother Jim: But do we show respect?

Brother Jim: Oh, ouch.

Brother Jim: We want compassion.

Brother Jim: But are we compassionate?

Brother Jim: We want people to serve.

Brother Jim: But are we willing to serve?

Brother Jim: We want a better America.

Brother Jim: But are we willing to become better neighbors?

Brother Jim: Are we willing to become better people?

Brother Jim: Are we willing to become better Christians?

Brother Jim: Because sometimes we spend so

Brother Jim: much type time asking, what is

Brother Jim: wrong with America that we

Brother Jim: forget to ask, what good, what

Brother Jim: good can God use me to help

Brother Jim: America better?

Brother Jim: Patriotism should include responsibility.

Brother Jim: Being an American is not simply about having rights, it also

Brother Jim: means having responsibilities.

Brother Jim: Again, a word I believe that is not being taught.

Brother Jim: Just Brother Jim's opinion.

Brother Jim: But again, where are our responsibilities that we're

Brother Jim: passing on to our families, to our little ones?

Brother Jim: That there is a cost to have your iPad, to have your phone,

Brother Jim: to have all these conveniences.

Brother Jim: could you imagine if this became a communist country?

Brother Jim: And for North Korea, for example.

Brother Jim: I've learned enough on that.

Brother Jim: Everything is dictated through the government.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: You wouldn't be able to watch I

Brother Jim: Love Lucy or Andy Griffith

Brother Jim: unless the government said it

Brother Jim: was okay.

Brother Jim: And I am sure David, their producers would be on set.

David: Yep.

Brother Jim: That the wi fi you had is limited, and if you go messing

Brother Jim: around, there could be a knock on the door.

Brother Jim: Well, better yet, a kick of the door.

Brother Jim: You're going to do some hard time.

Brother Jim: Again.

Brother Jim: We are so free.

Brother Jim: Are we free?

Brother Jim: Do we have too much freedom?

Brother Jim: In a sense.

Brother Jim: And.

Brother Jim: All right, I'm not going to go there.

Brother Jim: I'll tune it down.

Brother Jim: But again, our responsibilities

Brother Jim: to our communities, our

Brother Jim: responsibility to our neighbors,

Brother Jim: our responsibility to those who

Brother Jim: are vulnerable.

Brother Jim: How about our responsibilities to our church, David?

David: You know.

Brother Jim: I could fly high on that one, brother.

Brother Jim: But we won't today.

Brother Jim: We won't today.

Brother Jim: And as Christians, we have an

Brother Jim: even greater responsibility to

Brother Jim: live in such a way that our

Brother Jim: lives point people towards

Brother Jim: Christ, not distract them, not

Brother Jim: allow them to get that typical

Brother Jim: stereotype.

Brother Jim: Well, there's another hypocrite.

Brother Jim: Ha ha.

Brother Jim: Did you hear the joke?

Brother Jim: He told?

Brother Jim: Ha!

Brother Jim: Did you see him blow up because the Browns lost?

Brother Jim: Which, really, that's not a surprise.

Brother Jim: So you can't get too mad about

Brother Jim: how many Ohio State fans last

Brother Jim: weekend went nuts, kicked the

Brother Jim: dog, wouldn't talk to their wife

Brother Jim: because they blew a twenty three

Brother Jim: point lead.

Brother Jim: Do you see what I'm saying?

Brother Jim: Now, I know people love their

Brother Jim: football, but is it really that

Brother Jim: important in the big scope of

Brother Jim: things?

Brother Jim: Check.

Brother Jim: Tune in.

Brother Jim: On Sunday morning, I opened up with Doctor David Gibbs.

Brother Jim: Let me ask you something.

Brother Jim: There's a little story behind it, I repeated.

Brother Jim: But Doctor David Gibbs, in this

Brother Jim: part he was overseas giving a.

Brother Jim: He was speaking and he had two

Brother Jim: women walk three days to hear

Brother Jim: him speak.

Brother Jim: Now, let me ask you, my friends, would you be willing to walk

Brother Jim: three days to hear Brother Jim speak or to hear a pastor speak?

Brother Jim: To hear someone evangelize?

Brother Jim: David.

Brother Jim: That would be hard for me to walk three days.

David: Yeah.

Brother Jim: To walk three days because they couldn't afford bicycles.

Brother Jim: MM. Something to chew on again.

Brother Jim: Are we pointing people towards Christ?

Brother Jim: Pray for America.

Brother Jim: The Bible tells us in First Timothy two one to two to pray

Brother Jim: for those in authority, even if you don't like them, even if you

Brother Jim: don't agree with them, we still need to pray for them.

Brother Jim: So let us pray.

Brother Jim: Pray for our president, pray for our Congress, pray for our

Brother Jim: governors and local leaders.

Brother Jim: Pray for our military, for the

Brother Jim: police officers, firefighters,

Brother Jim: first responders across the

Brother Jim: boards.

Brother Jim: How about teachers?

Brother Jim: I'm sure they could use some prayer or public servants.

Brother Jim: How about the trash guy, David?

Brother Jim: If he wasn't picking up our trash, what would happen?

David: Be kind of smelly.

Speaker 6: There would be pandemonium running wild, you know?

Brother Jim: Yeah, it would be a very stinky situation.

Brother Jim: Pray for our families, pray for our children, and pray for the

Brother Jim: church as the body.

Brother Jim: Is that too much to ask?

Brother Jim: Because America does not just need political solutions.

Brother Jim: America needs people who will bend their knees and seek God.

Brother Jim: And here is the hard part.

Brother Jim: We can point our fingers.

Brother Jim: Bam, bam.

Brother Jim: I got my shooters on at Washington.

Brother Jim: We can point our fingers at the schools and the teachers.

Brother Jim: We can point our fingers at the social media.

Brother Jim: That garbage on that.

Brother Jim: We can point our finger o David at somebody else.

Brother Jim: But eventually we have to look in the mirror.

Brother Jim: What kind of neighbor am I?

Brother Jim: What kind of citizen citizen am I?

Brother Jim: What kind of Christian am I?

Brother Jim: What kind of example am I

Brother Jim: leaving for my children and

Brother Jim: grandchildren?

Brother Jim: Because the future is not just something that happens to us.

Brother Jim: We are helping shape it by the way we live today.

Brother Jim: One final thought.

Brother Jim: I love America.

Brother Jim: I know David loves America.

Brother Jim: But I refuse to worship America.

Brother Jim: America is not God.

Brother Jim: The flag is not God.

Brother Jim: The government is not God.

Brother Jim: A political party.

Brother Jim: Here we go.

Brother Jim: A political party is not God.

Brother Jim: A president is not God.

Brother Jim: God is God.

Brother Jim: And when we put God first, we can love our country without

Brother Jim: making our country an idol.

Brother Jim: We can disagree without becoming enemies.

Brother Jim: We can stand firmly for what we believe without treating people

Brother Jim: who disagree with us as though they have no value.

Brother Jim: We can honor those who sacrificed for our freedom by

Brother Jim: using that freedom responsibly.

Brother Jim: Even though Patriots Day has come and gone, do not just

Brother Jim: remember America for that day.

Brother Jim: Remember America for every day.

Brother Jim: Pray for America.

Brother Jim: Don't just complain about her.

Brother Jim: Serve America or your country.

Brother Jim: Don't just demand change from America.

Brother Jim: Ask God to change you and to not

Brother Jim: just tell people that you love

Brother Jim: this country.

Brother Jim: Live like someone who is grateful for the freedom you

Brother Jim: have been given.

Brother Jim: Because freedom is precious.

Brother Jim: Freedom is costly, and freedom carries responsibility.

Brother Jim: God bless those who have served.

Brother Jim: God bless their families.

Brother Jim: God bless our communities and may God give us you and I, the

Brother Jim: wisdom, the courage, humility and faith to be the kind of

Brother Jim: people who make a difference wherever he has placed us.

Brother Jim: God bless America.

David: You know, I lead a very exciting life.

David: I watch a lot of Netflix documentaries in my in my spare

David: time, and I'm currently watching the one about Katrina.

David: And one thing that, I mean, what a terrible time that was.

David: But one thing that struck me watching this is the government

David: wasn't the answer.

David: The government wasn't the solution.

David: The government was essentially useless.

David: It was the people, the neighbors

David: who were saving each other and

David: pulling everybody out of that

David: mess.

Brother Jim: The Cajun Navy.

David: Yep, yep. Yeah. So I've, I've got, I've, I've got, you know,

David: not a whole lot of use for the government, but the people I

David: fully believe in, the people I take care of each other.

Brother Jim: I agree with you one hundred percent.

David: Yeah.

Brother Jim: And it's just our personal opinion here.

Brother Jim: You can agree or disagree, but if you're counting on the

Brother Jim: government, forget about it.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: And going back to me, the what?

Brother Jim: This country was founded on God, neighbors helping neighbors.

David: Yes.

Brother Jim: The church getting involved, not becoming a castle up on the hill

Brother Jim: to where you're afraid to go in and you're keeping everybody in.

David: If the church would do what the

David: church is supposed to do, we

David: wouldn't need these government

David: agencies.

Brother Jim: Who preach it.

Brother Jim: Brother.

Brother Jim: Well, you are on fire today.

Brother Jim: Fire me up.

Brother Jim: Yes, that is so true.

Brother Jim: We've become dependent.

Brother Jim: So many families become

Brother Jim: dependent on the government to

Brother Jim: survive.

Brother Jim: Hey, just as long as you vote.

Brother Jim: Whatever way.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: You'll keep getting your checks.

Brother Jim: You'll keep getting help.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: Katrina was a disaster.

Brother Jim: I mean, we got caught.

Brother Jim: The government got caught with their pants down.

Brother Jim: Yeah.

Brother Jim: And in most situations.

Brother Jim: So again, just our opinion.

Brother Jim: You can agree or disagree.

Brother Jim: Alrighty.

Brother Jim: country a better country that loves and worships you.
