  1. Turning your Bible to Ecclesiastes chapter 3, and you guys know we're all at different seasons of life.

    Ecclesiastes 3 chapter mention

  2. Some of you are newly married, and we praise God for that.

  3. You're learning what it's like to be married for the first year, living together and uh coming from different backgrounds.

  4. Some of you have just had your first child, and you're learning how to uh cope with little sleep and little temper tantrums and uh babies crying, and and some of you have come through divorce and the pain and the the struggle of of what that feels like.

  5. You're learning uh how to navigate through that and how your identity is in Christ and not in that past uh marriage.

  6. And some of you you're in your grandparent era, and you're able to love on the little youngins and be a support and and uh and then give them back.

  7. And uh, and all of us are at different seasons.

  8. Some of us are enjoying great health, and some of us uh we're having some infirmities of the flesh, and things are breaking down, and you're having to learn uh that uh once you think you got it figured out, you don't have it figured out.

  9. How many of y'all, this is your first time being this age at this time and place?

  10. It's your first time.

  11. It's my first time.

  12. And let me just say this give each other a break a little bit, give each other a little bit of grace, and uh realize we're all learning together.

  13. Uh Ecclesiastes chapter number three, verse one, it says, To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

  14. A time to be born, a time to die, a time to plant, a time to pluck up that which is planted, a time to kill, a time to heal, a time to break down, a time to build up, a time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance, a time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones together, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to get, a time to lose, a time to keep, and a time to cast away, a time to rent, a time to sow, a time to keep silence, and a time to speak, a time to love, a time to hate, a time of war and a time of peace.

  15. What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboreth?

  16. I have seen the travail which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.

  17. He hath made everything beautiful in his time.

  18. Also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

  19. I know that there is no good in them but for a man to rejoice and to do good in his life, and also that every man should eat and drink and to enjoy the good of all his labor.

  20. It is the gift of God.

  21. It is the gift of God.

  22. I want to remind you that today's a gift from God.

  23. I was just having a little prayer meeting uh before the church service, and one of the brothers was sharing with me a prayer request over a man that had just maybe in his uh lower 60s died from cancer and it was aggressive.

  24. Bam! Happened just like that.

  25. And uh and it just reminded me that life is a vapor.

  26. Like there's a time for everything, and sometimes we can get stuck in a thinking that was last season or last era, and we can fail to realize that you're supposed to make changes, you're you're supposed to make adjustments, and God is exercising you, and you're supposed to walk with God through all those things.

  27. Uh, if you're taking notes, number one, discern your season.

  28. You need to figure out what season you're in.

  29. Now, listen, the church is in a season, your children are in a certain season, uh, your marriage is in a certain season, your health is in a certain season, your finances are in a certain season, and you've got to figure out by God's grace, God, what season are we in?

  30. You have to ask that question because if you don't ask that question, things change around you and you're still operating from a past season, and you don't realize that you've got to change.

  31. And you've got a lot of people out there say, Well, I'm never gonna change.

  32. Well, you're an idiot if you don't change.

  33. Because life changes, business changes, market goes up, market goes down, there's inflation, gas prices go up, and and it costs more for food.

  34. And if you don't learn how to change as your body changes, you're gonna you're gonna be a very angry, miserable person, expecting that your present should be how the past was.

  35. And it's just not the case.

  36. And so wisdom is not just knowing what to do, but it's knowing what do I do right now.

  37. The wise man discerns time and judgment.

  38. God, is this a time of eating and banqueting and celebration?

  39. Or is this a time of mourning and fasting?

  40. See, there's a time for everything.

  41. And if you get stuck, well, all I do is laugh, laugh, laugh.

  42. Well, you're a lopsided Christian.

  43. You have to realize there's a time of fasting and mourning, there's a time of sackcloth and ashes, there's a time of love, but there's also a time of hate.

  44. There's a time to hate evil and hate wickedness, there's a time to love and and to celebrate.

  45. There's a time to throw a party and there's a time to go uh to the house of mourning.

  46. And if you're not allowing the Holy Spirit to guide your seasons, you will you will be an emotionally stunted person.

  47. You ever seen a grown-up who acts like a baby?

  48. You ever seen somebody throws a temper tantrum because they don't get what they want?

  49. Maybe perhaps their little children, when they were children, when they threw a frustration fit, the mom or the dad just gave them what they wanted, and they they taught that child that whenever they throw a temper tantrum, they get what they want.

  50. And then that little child grows up and is a monster when they get older.

  51. They throw a little temper tantrum when fear and anxiety comes on because of frustration, and they're not getting what they want, and they're trying to make other people do what they want whenever they throw a temper tantrum.

  52. It's a stunted person.

  53. Emotionally, mentally, they have one tool throw a temper tantrum because they're not getting what they want.

  54. And for us as Christians, we don't want to be immature people that don't understand how emotions work and the times and the seasons.

  55. And so we want to ask the question, what does this season require of me?

  56. God, what do you want me to do?

  57. Which means this, you've got to know what season you're in.

  58. Are you in springtime?

  59. Are you in summertime?

  60. Are you in fall season, or is it a winter season?

  61. And I'm not just talking about the weather and the climate.

  62. I'm talking about understanding your business season, your health season, and asking God, what season are we in?

  63. Now, if you fail to realize the season, you're gonna be messed up and you'll mess up your family, and you won't be prepared for the future.

  64. And there is a future, and there's a lot of people that they fail to prepare for the future because the door of opportunity opened in the past and they did nothing with it.

  65. See, you can't just sit on your hands and do nothing.

  66. You've got to ask God, what season am I in right now, God?

  67. What wilt thou have me to do?

  68. Consider the ants.

  69. Look over your Bible at Proverbs chapter number six.

  70. Proverbs chapter six.

  71. And I get it.

  72. Seasons change, and it can be a little bit frustrating when you when you thought everything was the way it was before, and all of a sudden, you know, the cheese moved.

  73. You ever read that book, Who Moved My Cheese?

  74. The cheese moved.

  75. And you gotta go, okay, how do I make the adjustment?

  76. In Proverbs chapter six, verse six, it says, Go to the ant, thou sluggard, consider her ways and be wise, which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provideth her meat in the summer and gathereth her food in the harvest.

  77. It's basically saying, think about the ant, they're always preparing.

  78. Don't be a lazy sluggard.

  79. You know, I think what happens sometimes is we get comfortable in life, and before you know it, we let ourselves go.

  80. You used to shave, you used to have nice clothes on, you used to care about what other people, uh, your image and your projection, then before you know it, you went noseblind.

  81. You forgot that your stuff stinks.

  82. And you stopped taking showers, you stopped bathing, you stopped having fresh, clean clothes, you stopped caring, you gave up.

  83. And then you get mad at other people because of whatever is going on in their life.

  84. What you gotta do is you gotta rec recognize what season am I in, and I cannot just let go.

  85. I don't want to go nosebl.

  86. You ever gone into somebody's house and their house smells really stinky, like there's a bunch of dogs in there and they can't smell it, they went nose blind.

  87. See, familiarity oftentimes can blind you to the mess-ups and to the issues that need to be addressed and fixed.

  88. And that can happen in marriage, it can happen home, it can happen in your health.

  89. And let me just say this to the older folks in here.

  90. Listen, if you don't start stretching and taking your vitamins and hydrating, your body's not gonna get any better.

  91. In fact, it's gonna get worse.

  92. You have to fight to keep your health.

  93. You have to fight for it.

  94. Which means this you can't operate like you're 20 years old anymore.

  95. You can't, well, I just everything's falling apart.

  96. Well, yeah, you've got to do something about it.

  97. The house will fall apart if you don't fix things up.

  98. The church will fall apart if you don't fix things up, the seasons change, the winter brings the snow and the rain and all kinds of issues.

  99. And some of you you're wondering why your health or your marriage is messed up, and it's because you failed to realize that you needed to prepare for this season that's up and coming.

  100. Consider the ant.

  101. You think about what Jesus said.

  102. Look it over in your Bible at John chapter number four.

  103. There's a lot of people who say, well, I'll do it in three months, I'll do it in four months.

  104. I'll, you know what, I'll start taking care of my health, I'll start eating well, I'll get rid of the debt in three months.

  105. I'll I'll start uh saving money, I'll start giving uh to the church, I'll start serving in a ministry.

  106. Three months, three months.

  107. Let me say this to you.

  108. There is no three, four months.

  109. Who you are now is what you're becoming in the future.

  110. Who you are right now is what and what you're gonna become in the future.

  111. How you do anything is how you do everything.

  112. Every discipline impacts every other discipline.

  113. And how you do anything is how you do everything.

  114. And so if you're a schmuck to your spouse and your children see it, your daughter, your son is seeing you be a jerk and how to treat people the wrong way.

  115. If you're a punk to your wife or to your husband, and you think God's not seeing that, he is seeing it.

  116. Don't say, Well, I'll fix it in three months from now, four months.

  117. No, no.

  118. No, no, no.

  119. Today's the day.

  120. Today's the day to make the adjustment.

  121. Today's the day to repent.

  122. Today's the day saying, God, I want to make a change.

  123. I want to make a change.

  124. In fact, turn to your neighbors, I want to make a change.

  125. I want to make a change.

  126. I want to make a change.

  127. Look what Jesus says here in John chapter 4, verse 35.

    John 4:35

  128. Say not ye, there are yet four months, and then cometh harvest.

  129. Behold, I say unto you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, for they are white already to harvest.

  130. Listen, it's time right now.

  131. Well, I'll be a soul winner in the future.

  132. I'll give to missions in the future, I'll take my spouse on a date in the future, I'll take care of my body in the future.

  133. There is no tomorrow.

  134. There is no tomorrow.

  135. You fix it now.

  136. You address it now.

  137. You say, I can't eat the whole thing at once.

  138. I can't.

  139. No, no, listen.

  140. You go one piece at a time.

  141. You may not be able to solve the whole problem at once, but you can certainly make a vote of confidence with a little action today.

  142. Little by little is how it's done.

  143. Don't say, well, in four months I'll get to it.

  144. You might be, you may, you may be in a season of your life.

  145. I don't like this season.

  146. Number two, write this down.

  147. Don't despise your winter.

  148. Don't despise your winter.

  149. Maybe some of you guys are in a winter season.

  150. Maybe it's cold.

  151. Maybe the climate's bad.

  152. Maybe the uh you don't have enough finances.

  153. Maybe you can't go out to work the way you used to.

  154. Maybe your body's not working the way it used to be.

  155. Listen.

  156. Don't despise your winter.

  157. Learn from it.

  158. Ask God, God, what do you want me to learn from this winter?

  159. You say, What am I supposed to do?

  160. Winter feels like a punishment.

  161. Winter isn't a punishment.

  162. It's part of the seasons of life.

  163. It's part of how you grow.

  164. It's part of how things get purged.

  165. Sometimes winter is a preparation for you to realize, what do I need to do so that I don't, I'm not in the same position next winter.

  166. You say, how do I get better during the winter seasons?

  167. Look over your Bible, James chapter number one.

  168. James chapter number one.

  169. Y'all doing okay?

  170. I'm pretty fired up today.

  171. I feel good, good, good.

  172. From my head to my toe.

  173. Let's go.

  174. James chapter number one.

  175. Look what he says here.

  176. Verse 2, James 1, 2.

  177. My brethren, counted all joy when you fall into diverse temptations.

  178. Knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh what?

  179. Patience.

  180. Oh, we're exercising.

  181. Exercising.

  182. I like exercising.

  183. All right?

  184. We need to be exercising in the winter, in the trials.

  185. There's a lot of people, well, it's cold outside.

  186. I don't want to go out.

  187. It's cold.

  188. It's dark.

  189. I don't feel it.

  190. That's the problem.

  191. You're letting your feelings control your future.

  192. You need to let the exercise, the gymnasticize, take place.

  193. God, I'm in a trial right now.

  194. I'm in a winter season right now.

  195. Good.

  196. Good.

  197. Don't wish it was easier.

  198. Wish that you get stronger.

  199. Pray that God empowers you in this season.

  200. He says, knowing this in verse 3, that the trying of your faith work is patience, but let patience have her perfect work.

  201. Oh, let pay.

  202. That means this.

  203. Don't try to rush through it.

  204. I just want to fix it.

  205. I just want to fix it.

  206. I just want to fix it.

  207. No, no, no, no.

  208. You're rushing.

  209. You know when you're going to grow past this level?

  210. When you say, Yes, I love it.

  211. I love it.

  212. I'll sit here all day.

  213. However long it takes, God, I'm dedicated, I'm committed.

  214. Give me all the wisdom I'm supposed to have in this season.

  215. God, if he's gonna be a jerk or if she's gonna be like that, it's okay, God.

  216. Let patience have her perfect work inside of me.

  217. I want to grow in grace and in truth and whatever you want me to learn in this winter season, I say yes.

  218. See, now you're not trying to force the season.

  219. He goes on to say this.

  220. If any of you lack wisdom, let them ask of God.

  221. How many of y'all lack wisdom?

  222. Anybody lack wisdom?

  223. Raise your hand if you lack wisdom.

  224. Every hand should go up in here.

  225. If you don't raise your hand with you lack, say you don't you don't think you lack wisdom, you lack wisdom.

  226. It's like if I were to say, hey, uh, how many of y'all think your prayer life's pretty good?

  227. You raise your hand.

  228. How many of y'all need to work on your prayer and you didn't raise your hand?

  229. You got a problem.

  230. Everybody could get a little closer to God.

  231. Everybody can grow a little bit more, everybody can can can get more wisdom.

  232. He says, if you want more wisdom, he says, if any of you lack wisdom, let it ask of God that give it to all men liberally and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him.

  233. See, God wants to give you wisdom.

  234. God wants you to you to be a better spouse, God wants you to be a better lover, God wants you to be a better athlete, God wants you to be a better uh musician, God wants you to be better, he wants you to be better.

  235. But listen, you thinking that you're gonna fast forward to some future date when it's all gonna be better and you don't have any work or skin or blood or sweat or tears to put into it, it's not gonna happen.

  236. Faith without works is dead, and as long as you're blaming him or her, here's what you're not doing.

  237. You're not taking personal responsibility for what you're supposed to do.

  238. Woo! Am I preaching to anybody right now?

  239. Am I talking to anybody right now?

  240. I'm just trying to help you a little bit.

  241. Because sometimes we go, oh, you know, it's her fault, it's his fault.

  242. No, no.

  243. It's me.

  244. I need wisdom, I need grace.

  245. I can't control anybody else.

  246. You know, I was telling Brother Mike this, I was out surfing the other day, and there was some crazy guy out there, and he was cussing, he was bickering, and he was, I would go to catch a wave and he'd be like, mine, mine, mine.

  247. You know, I was like, dude, what's up with this crazy guy?

  248. He don't know.

  249. I'll jump off the top ropes on this fool.

  250. Shabam, mine, sucker.

  251. You know, but I didn't do it.

  252. I didn't do it.

  253. And I was out there praying, and I felt the Holy Spirit go, He got special needs.

  254. He's got some special needs.

  255. And I and I and I said, Okay, what do I do?

  256. Do I address it or leave it alone?

  257. He felt the Lord say, Let him.

  258. Just let him be.

  259. You don't gotta control his crazy.

  260. Just give him to me.

  261. You just go over here and do your thing.

  262. See, I think a lot of times we try to we try to intervene in other people's lives when that's not our season.

  263. That's not my monkeys, that's not my circus.

  264. Amen.

  265. That's not, those are not my monkeys, that's not my circus.

  266. How many of y'all have been trying to fool around with some other people's monkeys and other people's circuses, and then before you know it, you got smitten for it?

  267. You gotta stay in your lane.

  268. In fact, turn to your neighbor and say, stay in your lane.

  269. You got enough in your own circus to deal with.

  270. Right?

  271. Now, listen, if you want to have a good circus, you better take care of your circus.

  272. Don't despise your winter seasons.

  273. Hard seasons develop strong people.

  274. Joseph had prison time, David had a wilderness experience, Job had had his suffering.

  275. Winter isn't punishment always.

  276. Sometimes winter is the preparation.

  277. It's what you need.

  278. Listen, you will be a jerk unless God pulls this out of you.

  279. You will be a meanie.

  280. You'll be like that.

  281. Anybody ever play Mario Kart?

  282. I love playing Mario Kart.

  283. And remember Mario Kart and that poop cloud would get on you, it'd be like poop, poop, poop, poop, and it'd be all over your windshield, and you can't see anything, and it's slowing you down.

  284. It's like a little squid thing.

  285. I don't know what it was.

  286. You're like, get this thing off of me.

  287. Some of y'all walked in, you're a big poop cloud all over you.

  288. You know, you're going slow, you're dragging, you can't see straight.

  289. You say, What do you what do you gotta do?

  290. Well, in that game, you bump somebody else and they take the poop cloud.

  291. But the problem with that is you mess everybody else up.

  292. Let me tell you something.

  293. Listen, the best way to get rid of that poop cloud is to visit the dungate with King Jesus and ask him to confess.

  294. You confess all your sins and ask him to take it from you.

  295. And then ask him for the star power.

  296. How many of you ever got the star on Mario Kart?

  297. Man, it's all four, you know it.

  298. Boop, boop, boop, boop, boop.

  299. You're just busting through and winning again.

  300. How many of y'all want to win again?

  301. Anybody want to win again?

  302. You want to go a little quicker?

  303. Want to have a little more power?

  304. Want to see a little more success?

  305. You need God.

  306. In fact, turn to your neighbor and say, You need God.

  307. No, no, you didn't do it.

  308. Tell your neighbor, you need God.

  309. Yeah.

  310. You need God, friend.

  311. Number three, write this down.

  312. Plant in your spring seasons.

  313. Plant in your spring seasons.

  314. I love what Galatians says.

  315. Look over in your Bible, Galatians chapter number six, Galatians 6.

  316. Some of you guys, you're in your spring season, and that's a blessing.

  317. Now, can you imagine a farmer?

  318. He's in his spring season, he goes out to the farm, he'd be like, What's wrong with you, farm?

  319. Why don't you give me all my crops?

  320. No, no, no.

  321. It's spring season.

  322. It's not time for harvest.

  323. You gotta plow, you gotta plant.

  324. Hey, some of you guys in your 18, 19, 20, 30 years old, and you want all the success at the 40 and 50 and 60 year olds.

  325. Listen, you're in your spring season.

  326. Stop wanting what everybody else has without putting any work for it.

  327. You gotta realize it's gonna take some time, it's gonna take some effort, it's gonna take some diligence, it's gonna take some blood, some sweat, some tears to be able to see the increase take place.

  328. Galatians chapter number six, look what God says here in Galatians 6.

  329. Say amen if you're there.

  330. Look at verse number number seven.

  331. Be not deceived, be not deceived, be not deceived.

  332. Don't deceive yourself, don't lie to yourself.

  333. God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

  334. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he that soweth to the spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting.

  335. Hey, listen, whatever you sow, that's what you're gonna reap.

  336. So listen, if you're sowing fornication, sex outside of marriage, and all of a sudden you got a baby out of wedlock, don't act like, oh, you know, I I don't know how that happened.

  337. Come on.

  338. Don't be stupid.

  339. Whatever you sow, you're gonna reap.

  340. If you if if if you're looking at pornography all day long and you're sowing to the flesh and you can't figure out why you can't get a girlfriend or a boyfriend, well, it's because you're a creep.

  341. You're creepy, you're messing up your brain all day long.

  342. And if you can't figure out, oh well, you know, I can't figure out why my health is all messed up.

  343. Well, if you're drinking and getting drunk and doing drugs all day, listen, no wonder why.

  344. You're polluting your body.

  345. Whatever you sow in is gonna come out.

  346. If you're sowing in evil thoughts about your spouse, about your church, about your family, and then when you show up and you're critical and bitter and you can't figure out why they don't want to be with you, it's because you're sowing in evil thoughts.

  347. But if you don't like the harvest that you're reaping, you can change it.

  348. You can change it.

  349. Listen, you can change.

  350. You can say, you know what, I'm gonna start being godly and sweet and holy.

  351. I'm gonna put off wickedness, I'm gonna put off evil, I'm not gonna look at a wicked thing, I'm not gonna drink anything disgusting.

  352. No, I'm gonna look unto the Lord, I'm gonna be holy and healthy, and I'm gonna think good about my spouse and good about my pastor, good about my deacons, and good about my church family, and good about my nation.

  353. I'm gonna pray for them and love them and care for them.

  354. When you sow all that in, where do you think it's gonna come out?

  355. Whatever you sow, you're gonna reap.

  356. See, here's the deal: you have the keys, you have the power to change your relationships.

  357. It's not her, it's not him, it's you.

  358. You have the power to be able to sow in the right stuff.

  359. And you might say, Well, I've tried it, preacher.

  360. Sometimes I have people, I tried it, he didn't do it, she didn't do it.

  361. You tried it once?

  362. Since when does the farmer go to the ground, throw in a little crop, and go shazam, boom, shak a lock, and let it come up right away?

  363. There's a gestation period for every seed, and so it takes some time, it takes some love, it takes some nurturing.

  364. It takes, how about this?

  365. Full commitment.

  366. You gotta be fully committed to the process that God has designed.

  367. So you say, What are you saying?

  368. Plant in your spring.

  369. Plant in your spring.

  370. Look at your Bible, Proverbs chapter number number 10, Proverbs 10.

  371. We got the little kids coming in a little bit to sing to us.

  372. Oh, for the Lord, we'll enjoy it though.

  373. I think we have the kids, right?

  374. Okay.

  375. Proverbs chapter 10.

    Proverbs 10 chapter mention

  376. Look what he says here in Proverbs.

  377. Man, I want to get better.

  378. Anybody else in here want to get better?

  379. Man, I want to look better.

  380. I want to be sharper, I want to be smarter, I want to be wiser, I want to know the seasons.

  381. I don't want to have friends that drag me down.

  382. I don't want to have friends that are just, they they went from the the the the coasting zone and they got into the comfort zone before you know it.

  383. They're they're in the messed up zone.

  384. I don't want that for me.

  385. Whoever you hang out with is who you're gonna become like.

  386. You know that, right?

  387. So that's why you need to think about who you're hanging with.

  388. And you wanna be with the wise and the godly and the fruitful and the diligent and the people that are game changers because that's what you're gonna become like.

  389. Proverbs chapter number 10.

  390. Look what it says here.

  391. Proverbs chapter 10.

    Proverbs 10 chapter mention

  392. Verse number five.

  393. He that gathereth in summer is a what?

  394. Is a wise son, but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causes shame.

  395. Listen, you need to know the season, so you need to know when it's work time.

  396. It's gathering time, it's working time.

  397. But if you're gonna reap a harvest, you better plant.

  398. You gotta sow in the good.

  399. So you want to plant in your spring.

  400. Every season of opportunity has a window.

  401. Plant in your faith, family, marriage, health, fitness, and future.

  402. Don't miss today's opportunity waiting for tomorrow.

  403. How many guys have ever been there before where you thought, oh, everything's gonna get better in the future?

  404. You were wishful, you prayed for it, but you never worked for it.

  405. You can wish and pray all you want, but if you your butt doesn't get in gear, then it's not gonna change.

  406. You have to have works that are tied to your faith.

  407. Number four, write this down.

  408. Work your summer.

  409. Work your summer in your summer seasons.

  410. What you plant must also be cultivated, protected, and maintained.

  411. Don't abandon in summer what you prayed for in the spring.

  412. Don't abandon it.

  413. Stay faithful when the excitement wears off.

  414. How many of y'all you leave church and you're fired up sometimes?

  415. Like, yeah, man, I feel great from my head to my toe.

  416. Such a great message.

  417. Let's work.

  418. Man, you'll walk out of this thing singing, we'll work till Jesus comes, we'll work.

  419. And then you got your neighbor over, hi ho, hi ho, off to work we go.

  420. You know, and and before you know it, you're fired up Sunday.

  421. You go to work Monday, and the devil just goes, BAM! What's up now?

  422. That's when you can't let your emotions hold you back any longer.

  423. You listen, there was a guy last night.

  424. Oh, I like the UFC, don't judge me for it, okay?

  425. Blessed be the Lord teaches my fingers to fight, my hands were.

  426. There was one guy in the middle of this fight, his thumb broke off.

  427. His bone was sticking out.

  428. And they were what and he was going at it, and they're like, He he broke his thumb, his bone was sticking out.

  429. Dude was still fully committed.

  430. He ended up going the whole way, and and I think he knocked the other guy out, if I remember right.

  431. Is that right?

  432. And he got the win.

  433. Because he didn't quit.

  434. Listen, sometimes summer's gonna be hot.

  435. Sometimes your marriage is gonna be like, man, I can't stand her right now.

  436. I love her, but I don't like her.

  437. I love this church, but I don't like this church right now.

  438. You know how many times people they give up on their marriage, they give up on their kids, they give up on the church.

  439. Well, it's not going the way I want.

  440. Nobody listen, there's hot seasons.

  441. Hot, hot, hot.

  442. And sometimes you're gonna get blisters, sometimes your bones are gonna break, sometimes it's gonna fall apart, and you've got to be able to say, you know what, I'm in it to win it.

  443. Let it burn, baby, let it break.

  444. I don't care.

  445. Blow this thing down, I don't care.

  446. I'm all the way committed.

  447. Work your summer, stay faithful even when the excitement wears off.

  448. Number, number five, number five.

  449. I'm finished.

  450. Number five.

  451. I love number five.

  452. Enjoy your harvest.

  453. Hey, listen, there's there's a harvest.

  454. There's a harvest of health, there's a harvest of finances, there's a harvest in marriage, there's a harvest in children, there's a harvest in ministry of souls and discipleship.

  455. But if you are not disciplined in the winter, the spring, and the summer seasons, when it's fall harvest time, you're gonna have the same year like you had last year, and you can't figure out why don't I ever have any money at the end of the month?

  456. Why are we always fighting?

  457. Why uh why is this a problem?

  458. Because you have not yet learned to discern the seasons.

  459. You haven't made any changes.

  460. When you make the changes that you're supposed to, when your two-year-old throws a temper tantrum and you say, Nope, we're not gonna act like that, and you actually correct the issue in a loving way, guess what?

  461. You get to go to another season.

  462. It's the same thing when there's when there's when you've got all kinds of debt because you're spending too much money everywhere and you don't learn how to cut things off and and and block things out.

  463. If you don't learn how to do that, you stay stuck in that season.

  464. Then when it's harvest time, when everybody else is enjoying a harvest of vacation and other things like that, you'll put on the credit card thinking you're keeping up with the Joneses or whatever name you want to put up with it.

  465. But guess what the difference is?

  466. When the person who did the work in winter, spring, and summer did a good job and had temperance, and they come back from their vacation and there's no debt there, and you come back from your vacation because you put it on a credit card, your harvest is tainted.

  467. Because now you have the burden and the stress of you spent money that you did not have that you have to go work for.

  468. See, better for you to learn how to pay the discipline of uh pay up front with the discipline of temperance rather than later on pay with regret.

  469. Now, how many of you guys you want to have a great harvest?

  470. I want to see a great harvest in my marriage.

  471. Like that's why I'm looking at 24 years.

  472. I'm thankful by the grace of God.

  473. You know, there's some secrets that we did to keep a great marriage.

  474. We we kept dating all the time, right?

  475. We we never let alcohol in the home, never.

  476. We didn't have alcohol in the home, got always out of the house.

  477. We didn't we didn't put a bunch of scary movies in the house.

  478. Our kids were not corrupted with evil, evil movies all the time.

  479. You know, you do just a few of those things, and I promise you'll have some protection around your home.

  480. But if you think you're gonna play around with the devil and he's not gonna snipe you and bite you and mess with you, come on.

  481. He he will.

  482. And so you have to put some protections around your home if you want to have a harvest season.

  483. Because every farmer knows this.

  484. If you don't protect your crops, the little foxes will come in, all the animals will come in, the little creatures from below, and the creatures from above, they'll come in and try to eat up your harvest.

  485. So you can't be so ignorant to think, well, I went to church today, check.

  486. Okay, good.

  487. You think going to church one time is gonna do it?

  488. You have to live as a godly person at the house.

  489. And then here's what happens: through time and purpose and wisdom, you come through these seasons of life.

  490. And before you know it, man, you you're harvesting stuff.

  491. You're like, man, praise the Lord.

  492. We're now we're going on a date.

  493. Yeah, we love this.

  494. This is great.

  495. You know, we're not bickering, we're not fighting, right?

  496. Uh, what about your children?

  497. Because you raised them the right way and you you taught them to pray and you taught them to read their Bible when they raise up and they're serving the Lord, and they're they're they're not out at the at the at the strip club or or the casino or all these other places getting drunk and getting high and getting messed up.

  498. You're gonna be like, you know what?

  499. Praise the Lord.

  500. They have some temperance to them.

  501. They have some God they're in church, they're doing right, they're speaking good things.

  502. Well, that didn't that harvest didn't just happen.

  503. That took a lot of intentionality and power.

  504. It's the same thing like these musicians.

  505. You look at Sister Clara, you look at Nathan, you look at at Josh, you look at Nathan, you look at Aurora, you look at these, listen, what we hear that didn't just happen.

  506. They get up, they practice during the week, they come up and they perform.

  507. And and and that didn't, that harvest didn't just happen.

  508. A lot of times I'll have uh preachers come up like, how do you get the music team?

  509. Let me tell you how you get a music team.

  510. You show up with nothing.

  511. Right?

  512. Day in and day out, week after week, month after month, decades, and you let God build his church.

  513. And then when the harvest is there, you go, praise the Lord.

  514. And you can sit back.

  515. I was with uh Brother Anthony back there, just thanking God for our music team.

  516. It's a harvest.

  517. And you know, sometimes people will come to church and they'll be like, Well, I don't like this church.

  518. I don't like this.

  519. There's the door.

  520. Don't hate on my harvest.

  521. This is a blessing.

  522. These are my people, this is my family.

  523. You don't like my family, go ahead.

  524. But listen, I'm loving what I get to do here.

  525. I love my children.

  526. I love my family.

  527. I love my this is the harvest.

  528. Right?

  529. It's imagine somebody hating on your son or hating on your grandkids.

  530. It's like, no, no, no, no, no.

  531. Don't bring that here.

  532. This is harvest.

  533. And so I'm gonna close with this.

  534. At the harvest time, you reap it, you enjoy it, you share it, you thank God for it.

  535. Don't fight your seasons.

  536. Ask God, okay, God, what season am I in?

  537. Now don't compare your season to somebody else.

  538. Embrace your season and let him guide you through it.

  539. And here's what you're gonna do it's just you holding hands with Jesus.

  540. All right, God, what do I do now?

  541. What do I do now?

  542. And what about now?

  543. And you just let him guide you as a teacher through this season.

  544. Before you know it, you'll come out the wilderness into a promised land season.

  545. And he's guiding the whole thing.
