We hope this message will light up your day.

I want to start off my message just asking us

to just imagine something. I want you all to imagine

what a successful Christian looks like. When I say successful,

I want to use the word victorious. Because I think

we have sort of an image of what a victorious

Christian looks like, meaning to say that everything's all well,

all looking all good, you know, hair in place. Those

of you who got hair, go without hair, praise the Lord, hallelujah,

also in place. Everything is all, the word is correct.

And sometimes we have this image of what a victorious

Christian looks like. Sometimes we have this image of what

successful Christian looks like. You know, I always wonder when

we do get to heaven, we all get to heaven one.

Day, how....

Moses really looked like. Whether would he have all his

toes intact? Meaning to say that he may be walking

on nine toes only. Because through the journey of 40

years in the wilderness, you can imagine 40 years in

the wilderness, journey walking around, alright, it's not an easy feat.

For us, 40 minutes is really challenging. Not say four

minutes in a weather like this is crazy. 40 years

in the desert. must have done something to the body, right?

I want you to imagine Daniel. How would he look like,

you know, by the time he finished the course of

his life, going through, talking about stress, Daniel's stress is

next level. I think none of us, first of all,

whoever the word is, be put into the lion's den.

If we ever did survive the lion's den, for example,

you and I would definitely write a book and become.

A New York bestseller already, for sure.

To imagine yourself being in the lion's den to survive

and yet still serve the king who put you in.

Think about it for a moment.

He must have, the word is that, an amazing mental

capacity to be able to go through that.

Not just that, friends. His friends were put in the

fiery furnace. Right?

This is next level. The word is office torture. Next

level of office politics.

Right?

Our office politics, yeah, we do have office politics here

and there, right? But friends, I don't think any of

our colleagues have frame you to go into a fiery

furnace and leave you there, right? Literally real fire. Or

your colleagues that set you up, put you in a

pit full of lion, right? I know it does feel

like a lion, but actually it's not a lion, right?

But physically facing a lion, friends, it's a different story altogether.

I want you to really, the way to imagine David

when Prophet Nathan confronted him after... he made his mistake.

And how he felt like just the word is digging

in the hole and hiding, the word is burying himself

like he messed up big time. Because if we don't

have the word is, what is an image of a

believer is, we chase after the image, we do.

We do. We do. We chase after an image.

That's why you see any clothing line image is really important.

How to dress in a certain way. Very important, all right?

You have never seen any clothing line. Oh, we're launching

a new series, okay? Get your t-shirt, shirt, whatever it is,

at this price. Every fashion line follows up with the image,

not just the price tag.

So I want to show you from the Bible, really,

What is really God after? Really, no.

He's not after really the ways to make sure that

by the time you finish your course of life, everything

will be intact because Job, soccer was touched by the

angel of God.

He was limping all for the rest of his life. Jacob, sorry,

that was Job.

But Job yet, you think about Job, he was, he

went through, the word is, The most challenging.

Moment, losing everything. Everything. Yet still held on to God.

Could you imagine the journey of some of these believers

that went through things, right? And I want to encourage

you really, I want to show to you what God's after. Okay,

Luke chapter 19 verse 11. Luke chapter 19 verse 11.

Luke 19:11 Luke 19:11

Now as they heard these things, He spoke. He spoke

another parable. Jesus spoke another parable because he was near

Jerusalem and because they thought that the kingdom of God

would appear immediately. The disciples thought that Jesus would come

and the word is restore the kingdom. Jesus would come

and restore their position. Jesus would come and restore their

rightful place.

But Jesus had to change their perspective, have to change

their position. thought and began to speak to them in parable.

Now, therefore, he said, a certain nobleman went into a

far country to receive himself a kingdom and to return.

He called 10 of his servants, delivered to them 10

minas and said to them, do business till I come.

Do business till I come. But his citizens hated him.

Sent a delegation after him saying, we will not have

this man to reign over us. Pause for a moment,

all right? Here is Jesus trying to explain what is

it that He is after. Here is Jesus trying to

explain to, not to anyone else, but to disciples really,

to explain how and what His purpose here on earth.

So the first word I want to give to us

is the word assignment. Assignment, very important, alright. In Luke

Luke 19:13

chapter 19 verse 13 says, He called ten of his servants,

delivered to them ten minas and said to them, do

business till I come. Friends, you and me and every

one of us here have an assignment. So if you

look at the scripture I read earlier on, there was

no mention about the ten servants' background.

No mention. No mention. which means to.

Say that while your background is important, but your background

doesn't change the fact that God still has an assignment

for you. While your background, the way whatever you experienced

in growing up, it doesn't change the fact that God

still has an assignment for you. Many times in our lives,

we view things as because of my background, I am

not eligible for that assignment. Because of my grades, and

that's how the word is, because of my grades, I

am not eligible for that university or college.

Because of my background, my choices in life.

But God's assignment is not dependent on your background. God's

assignment is not dependent on whether or not what family

you came from.

It doesn't.

He looks at one very important point, which is this,

your availability. He will present to every one of us here,

whether you believe in Him or not, an assignment. And

that's why it's a good reminder for you and me

this morning. that we have a reason and a purpose

here on earth. None of us here is by accident.

The world may coin the term accident, but God has

turned every accident into a testimony. That you and I

today need to remember that we have an assignment. With

every assignment comes talents. The Bible says that it is

the master that gave the servant talents. Now, you must

understand that talents are given based on your ability.

It starts with one. The master did.

Not hand out air talent, meaning you see that, you

know how we somehow give offering into the offering bag,

but actually it's nothing just because that, you know, we

want to drop something into the bag. The master did

not give a servant, here is your package, the words,

your present, by the time you open up.

It's empty.

Every servant got a talent. The question here is this,

that do you know in your life you have a talent?

Do you know in your life that you've been blessed

with the ability that only you have? Many times we

go through our daily living, we could imagine that, oh,

I'm not as good as so and so. I'm not

as good as the other brother or sister. And that's

why sometimes it is hard to believe that we are

are talented. Just because a remark was said, you cannot sing. Yes,

you may not be able to sing like one of

those professional singers, but it doesn't discount the fact that

you can sing.

Do you believe that you have talents?

Very important because one of the hardest things in life

is to believe. One of the hardest things in life

is to believe that God made you, fashioned you and

blessed you with amazing talents. And that's why sometimes the

call of God, the response to the call of God

is so hard because we find it hard to believe

that God will use me. God can use me in

a very tough situation. Pastor Ronson wasn't born under the

star whereby when his mum gave birth to him, the

mum heard that he would be a pastor in Nilay.

If the mum heard it, the mum would lock him up. No,

you ain't going to Nilay. You're going to stay in

Subang for the rest of your life. I don't think

it's because that, you know, that there is this like

a special calling that you... No, God has given you

talent that you can function wherever He places you. When

He gave the individual an assignment or talents, then you

take the talents and you make the best out of it,

regardless where it is. The question for some of us

is this, is that, do you know how to use

your talent? Yeah, I know I'm blessed, I know I'm talented,

but do you know how to use it? Doesn't mean

that everyone who has a driver's license know how to

drive a car. I was about to use a person's name,

but you know, X and I used to have a leader.

She went to another church because of an up-and-coming marriage.

She has a driver's license. So one day, one day,

one day about a year ago, one day about a

year ago, I got a text.

Elder, I got into an accident. The driving the church went.

Got into an accident. I said, what were you doing?

Show me the picture, it was quite bad. Quite bad,

the front of the vehicle got really, the van smashed

the back of the other vehicle.

I said, what were you doing?

I was picking up something. Something dropped on the left-hand side, right?

There's a tendency you want to pick something up. It

could be your handphone, it could be your wallet. So

I reached out to the thing, not realising, right? Not

realising there was a car in front. So accident does happen, right?

Right? She has a valid driver's license. I believe so.

But accident does happen. So the question here is this,

that it doesn't mean.

That because you have a valid driver's license that you

know how to use it properly. Meaning, you see that

if you know, friends, the thing has dropped while you

are driving, it's either that it's very near you, you

can pick it up, that you can still focus on

the road, like some of us here who are very

good at texting while driving, All right? We master the

art of one-hand driving and one-hand texting.

All right? However, you and I know, those.

Of us who have done it before, we have close moments.

True or not?

God stirs your heart to look in front and you

straighten back your steering wheel. So the question here is this,

my friends. Do you know how to use your talents well?

Do you know how to use your talents well? If

you are texting Maggie right now, just say that Elder

spoke very well about you and stuff like that.

I know how it works. Elder talking about you. Elder

talking about you. No, no, no. Elder talking only good

things about her and just ask her to pay up. Okay, cool.

Just kidding.

All right. Luke 19 verse 40 says, My citizen hated him.

Luke 19:40

Wow. Even friends, even if you have an assignment, right?

This master who have, the citizen hated him and sent

a delegation after him saying, we will not have this

man reign over us. Now, until we get our relationship

and perspective right with God, we will miss the mark

of doing what God wants. Until you and I get

our relationship right with God, no matter what assignment would be,

we will miss the mark.

We will miss the mark.

Because your relationship with God really determines whether or not

you truly believe in the assignment.

If you truly believe you.

Got a good boss, the word is, you will work

pretty well at your office. But if you have one

grain of negative thought about your boss, chances is, that

we will not give 100%. Very high chance. I've been

working for almost 30 years already, I know. I know

how it works, how people is and stuff like that.

Chances is that you will not give 100% because you

know that this boss cannot be fully trusted.

Right?

They say, come for corporate dinner. It's going to be fun.

Those of you who were working before in the corporate field,

you have this annual corporate.

Dinner, right? And they like to use, it's going to

be fun. It's going to be nice. It's going to

be enjoyable. A lot of laughter.

But because, come on, of last year's experience, they say

something but never deliver. They say, to them, fun is

everybody coming together. To you, fun is laughter. No stress, right?

No reporting of KPI I want to achieve next year, right?

But then you enter that corporate annual dinner. How come

this sounds like a town hall meeting rather than corporate dinner.

One, right?

And because of that, you're not going to be fully

convinced with annual dinner anymore.

Just like your relationship with God.

If you doubt the goodness of God, If you doubt God,

if you think that God is hard, if you don't

spend time with God to know Him, you're not going

to be fully convinced about your assignment. You're not going

to be fully convinced about why He put you here.

Some of you might be wondering like, why Nilay?

You're still asking now. Why here?

Those of you from Subang, you drive one time already,

you say, wow, this is really far.

Right? Yeah. See you next week, Johnny. He said, I

don't know, very near. See you next week, okay, Johnny? Right? Amen.

Praise the Lord. Hallelujah.

Right?

But because of that, friends, without Him, and that's why

we cannot fully embrace the assignment. He could have put

you in the organization. You pray for a place, He

opens up a place for you, puts you in this place.

But after a while, you go like, God, it cannot

be you. So really, friends, before I move on to

my next point, I want to encourage you, really, to

repair your relationship with the Lord.

To know Him.

There is always a reason why God placed you in

a certain place. There is always a reason why God

still allows you to breathe. Things happen in your life,

but it's not the end. Things happen in your life,

but it's not the end. The next thing I want

to talk about is alignment.

Alignment. Very important, friends. Some of you will say, I'm

okay with the assignment. Great.

But are you aligned to what has given? Are you

aligned to what was given? What do I mean by this?

You know, you either give 100% or you don't give

100% at all. If you don't give 100% at all,

you're misaligned. If you don't give 100%, you're misaligned. And

sometimes in our life, that's what happens to us. Just

show up only, right? Just come to church, for example.

But if you come to church, if you don't engage

with God, then you're misaligned already. because you just wasted

two hours of your time.

That's why it's so important for us when you come.

To church, whichever church you go to, friends, to open

up your heart and say, God, I'm here.

Would you speak to me? God, I'm here.

Would you speak to me through your word?

Help me to worship you.

Help.

I got to align myself. Yes, you may came into

church with heaviness on your heart, friends, with anger, with mistrust,

with different....

But at the door of the church, God, I want

to put it right out there. I don't want to

pick it up later because I cannot afford, I cannot

afford to miss an opportunity to worship you.

Because if you're.

Able to have this mindset, then therefore, you'll always try,

the word is align.

You will always try to align.

The act of alignment shows if you are keeping close

to the assignment or not. The act of alignment shows

whether we are keeping close to the assignment or not.

What do I mean by that? You know, in.

Ministry, friends, in ministry, we don't have a problem with

the assignment.

Some of us.

The question is this has always been the interpretation of

the assignment.

Come on. Interpretation of the assignment.

To some of us, the color blue, let's use the

word blue, the color blue, right?

There's so many shades of blue, right?

If you look at the Pantone color chart, friends, there's

so many shades of blue, right? And everyone's interpretation is

so different. But if God uses a Pantone color chart,

And you know, if you ever look in the Pantone

colour chart, there's always a code.

A code, a colour code.

So that you know what colour code you're picking even

when you're using designing software. God said, I want to

ask you to use this code for this blue, for example.

Some of us say, but Elder is very similar. If

you ever look at the colour chart, whether you're painting

your house, some colours are very similar, but it's not, right?

If you ever go to Uniqlo, you look at the

clothing line, right? I told my wife, this one looks

like a black. No, if you look properly, it's dark blue. No,

I say it's black. Look at, no, no, dear, it's

dark blue. I said, how do you know it's dark blue?

How do you know it's dark blue? Let me show you.

Looks at the label. Looks at the label, dark navy blue.

I went like... It's so.

It has shades of towards black colour, but base is

like blue.

I'm like.

And sometimes in our life, friends, it's our interpretation. Our

interpretation of the assignment shows whether we're going to align

or not. Whether we're going to align or not. But God,

I'm doing this for you, Ma. God said, yeah, but

you missed the mark. Let me show you from Scripture

after this, okay? Now, Luke 22 verse 42. Father, if

Luke 22:42

it's your will, take this cup away from me. Nevertheless,

not my will but yours be done. Nevertheless, not my

will but yours be done. Do you know there's always

a constant struggle, friends? A constant struggle. A constant struggle.

Constant struggle between the flesh and the spirit, between the

assignment that God wants us and the alignment.

Constant struggle, friends. Constant struggle. That's why it's hard. It

is hard, friends.

The word is that, God, I want to do your will,

but Lord, if I do your will, I'll miss out.

If I do your will, I'll miss out.

Friends, can I just share this with you that, you know,

we are here today, we are here today in.

This church right now Not because we have nothing to do.

Not because that some of the leaders here, like the

words that you.

Have a choice, really the word is that to attend

any other church service.

You have a choice. You have a choice. Maybe nearer

to your home and stuff like that.

But if you would take the assignment and interpret it,

but God, ayah, If God asks us to plant in Nilai,

we plant somewhere else, but it's only 10 kilometers away

from Nilai. For example, do you know that this act,

we misaligned already? You know, can I just say this?

When it comes to this sort of assignment, friends, we

are very liberal. We take very liberal.

Interpretation, right or not?

What do I mean by liberal interpretation? It's like, as

long as it looks like it, it's okay. As long

as it's very similar, it is fine. For example, espresso.

As long as you got biscuit there, it is okay.

Because it's got things to eat. Doesn't matter whether it's

good near expiry date or not. Doesn't matter. As long

as it's got something. A bread, there is yesterday one,

but it's okay.

Come on.

Got bread, but there's no bread. Think about it for

a moment. Okay, I'm not knocking espresso. I'm just giving

you an understanding. We take very liberal interpretation with assignment, friends.

Follow up with this individual. Pastor Ron said, I caught once,

didn't pick up, so I follow up already.

Right?

For example, right? We take very liberal interpretation. However, can

I just say this? Can I just say this? We

take a very strict interpretation when it comes to blessing.

Hey God, why 99% only? Where's the one more percent?

Come on.

When it comes to God's blessing, we are very detailed.

Very detailed. God, I want this specific job, and this

pay scale, and these hours.

True or not? Come on. Our interpretation of.

Blessing is very strict because we want it for ourselves

to enjoy part of it.

When it comes to assignment, do things for God. God,

Far lah. Got something nearer. Then you try to negotiate

with God.

Can something nearer or not?

Right?

Have you ever caught yourself trying to negotiate when it

comes to assignment? We take a more liberal interpretation when

it comes to blessing. We want the best. If God

miss out 10% also, we claim back from God. God,

this 10%, where is it? And that's what happens to us, friends.

Let me show you from Scripture, right? The assignment from

Prophet Samuel to Saul. In 1 Samuel 10, verse 8.

1 Samuel 10:8

You shall go before me to Gilgal. Go where? Right?

The word is clear instructions, right? Surely I will come

down to you to offer burnt offerings. Who will come down?

That's right. Samuel will come down. I will come down

to offer our burnt offering and make sacrifices of peace offering.

Seven days. How many days? Seven days you shall wait

till I come to you and show you what to do.

That was the assignment.

You go to Gilgal, you wait. For me, I will come.

I will show you what to do. Was the assignment clear?

Clear, right?

But many times in our life, friends, we hear this, oh, okay, God, yes,

I understand. All right, you come. We're in the 70s.

I know that you'll show up. I know that you'll

show up. 1 Samuel chapter 13. Can you just skip

1 Samuel 13 · chapter mention

the next slide, number 12? It says, Saul's response to

the assignment. 1 Samuel chapter 13, verse 7.

1 Samuel 13:7

But as for Saul, While he was still at Gilgal.

All the people who followed him were trembling.

They were afraid. They were afraid. Verse 8.

Then he waited for seven days, according to the time

set by Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal,

and the people were scattered from him. here's a man

trying to do the assignment. Here's a man trying to

follow what was instructed. Verse 9 says that Saul said,

bring a burnt offering and peace offering here to me.

And he offered up the burnt offering. After all, Saul

was anointed to be king. See the interpretation? It's just

an offering. Anyone can offer it. He equates himself like

a prophet. If Prophet Samuel can do it, I can

do it. Do you know how misinterpretation of the assignment

causes us to misalign? And many times in our life, friends,

if we don't interpret the thing correctly, what God.

Is doing, we'll miss out on moments of breakthrough.

Although you don't say the person hurt me, for example,

hurt me, deeply hurt, But if you allow God to

bring you through that hurt and deliver you out, you

have a breakthrough moment. But many times in your life,

we want to get even, get back, avoid, run away.

And those moments, friends, that's why there is no breakthrough.

Saul thought he could offer up The burnt offering. Just

because he saw Prophet Samuel did it before. Just because

I'm also king. I'm man of position. I'm man of power,

man of authority. If it's just a burnt offering, an

act of worship on the outside. But friends, many times

you think it's just an outward expression. An outward act

of worship. But when you don't have a relationship with God,

when God didn't ask you to do it, and you

do it, and you think that just because I'm a Christian,

He has to accept it.

Just because I'm a believer, God has to receive it.

We'll miss out.

That's why alignment is so important, friends. To align, we

need a true knowledge. Something that doesn't change is the

Word of God. Friends, to align, we need a true knowledge,

something that never changes. That is the Word of God.

That's why spending time with God is so key. At

least try to read the Bible once a day. If

you tell me that I'll just read one page, go

start with one page first. Then go with two or three.

But many times, friends, you don't open the Word and

this is what happens. We formulate theology, we formulate God's

through our own personal experience. And that's why sometimes our

relationship with God is shallow because we've never allowed Him

to go deeper into our own.

Hearts, deeper into our own lives.

We think God, the word is, if God is God

of love, He should be operating this way because that's

how I see love. But friends, God allowed Moses to

go through the wilderness for 40 years.

Think about it, friends.

Even Hades already, this is what, month number two? We

are already asking God, please send rain. Please send rain.

What more walking through the desert for 40 years?

The heat. You're talking about dust, friends.

There is next level because 40 years of fine dust

from the sand of the desert.

Forget about all that, friends.

Even the weather could be perfect, but 40 years eating

the same food. I want you to imagine 40 years

eating the same food every day.

Right? It's hard.

That's why if you're a Malaysian, you go anywhere else

in the world to travel, you come back, you want

something different because we have a lot of cuisine here.

Right?

Different tastes. If you go to Japan, after day number two,

you're looking.

Like, there's no curry here. No, no, no. I'm talking

about spices.

I'm talking about real spices, not sweet curry.

Right?

You're looking for, the word is, a different flavour. But

40 years, friends, eating the same food.

But cannot be. God is God of love.

And that's why sometimes we give up falling on God

because of our own interpretation.

We give up. God cannot be you.

If He's such a good God, He will not bring

me through 40 years through the wilderness.

Friends, can I just say this? Even though you're in

the wilderness right.

Now, it will show past because God did not leave

them in the wilderness forever and ever.

He did not.

That's why He's a God of love because He brings

us through because He has something even deeper that He

wants to reveal in our hearts. It takes the desert

journey to reveal. And that's why they say the heart,

the attitude is one of the hardest because if it's,

I want you to imagine right now, if it's just

30 minutes of counselling can get out the attitude of

the heart, friends, God don't have to bring out, bring

the individual through 40 years in the wilderness. But it

takes 40 years really to reveal, friends, come on, the

attitude of our hearts. That's why, friends, alignment, really true

alignment happens when you walk closer with God and God begins.

To reveal this.

If you want to go into the promised land, you

cannot have this attitude. If you want to go into

the promised land, you cannot have this mindset. If you

want more of me, you have to let go of

certain things. So we need to keep our eyes as

close as we can to the assignment, come on, that

was given to us so that, come on, we won't

miss a light.

So that we won't miss a light. It's very important.

Sometimes we forget.

Do you know one of the hardest things, friends, is

not the start of your Christian journey.

It is not. It's to keep on faithfully running no

matter what happens, really no matter what happens, will.

You still follow Him even if you are the only one?

Even though, even if what happens with the worship sounds

so different, can you still worship God? Some of us

here accepted Christ five years, ten years ago. I was

in X Clang last Sunday, and the worship leader went

to release some songs that some of you weren't born yet.

Went to some of the older songs. Some of you

weren't born yet. I was very comfortable because I knew

the songs. These are the songs I grew up in.

You must imagine I'm 51, so these are the songs

I sang 30 or 40 years ago. 30 plus years ago, right?

It's amazing because We are very comfortable with it. Some

of the newer people, some of the newer believers, five

years ago, ten years ago believers, ten-year-old believer, five-year-old believer. Oh,

this is a new song. Is Give Thanks a new song?

Is Times of Refreshing a new song? Sounds so nice.

Some of you are looking at it, what song is that?

But friends, here's the thing. If the worship sounds different,

can you still worship?

Really.

Because not all the time you are here in next

in line for a moment, for a season, right? We

will never know five years time, maybe God will put

you in another town, another state, right? Then when you

attend another church, right, the worship is different. The congregation

mix is different. You could be 40 and you are

the youngest in the congregation. You could be 40 years old,

you are the youngest in.

The congregation, friends. can you still worship Him or not? No,

I can't.

I need to go to a young people's church. Then

we are worshipping a church rather than worshipping God. If

you go to another land, friends, some of you from

another country, you come over here, but what about if

you go to another country, you go to their country.

You worship. I can't worship here.

That's why we must always keep our eyes as close

to the assignment as possible. Sometimes we deceive ourselves when

we think we are aligned with the assignment but actually

we are not.

Come on. Be very careful.

When we are not fully convinced about the assignment or

have doubts of the person to give assignment, we will

not fully align.

Not fully align. Maybe you don't doubt, maybe you don't doubt,

maybe you don't doubt God, you just doubt God's worker.

You could be in that position, in that place. One

time I sat down with one of the leaders, I

just told the person, you know, when you're not fully convinced, right,

when you're not fully convinced, when you're not fully convinced

about the church, even not fully convinced about God or

where your relationship is, it's quite obvious one.

Very obvious in the person's mannerism. Can you just see it?

Very obvious. He asked, what do you mean?

You know, you just observe, alright? Number one, whether or

not the person brings a Bible to church. Okay, whether

physical Bible or not, just having.

A Bible app, number one.

Two is that we have seen people right, sleep throughout

the whole service. From the start of pre-worship, all the

way to their heart. I don't know how the person sleep,

but the person slept.

Right?

Could be serving friends on sound sleeping. I'm not saying you. Brother,

I'm not saying you, all right? I'm not saying the

back people sleeping. Could be on sound sleeping, friends.

Sleeping, sleeping.

How to sleep during preaching, friends? How to sleep? I

understand you are tired.

I understand, okay?

Once in a while, with those off, I totally understand, okay?

But falling asleep is next level. During praise and worship,

praise and worship, all of us, I want us to

focus on God, correct or not?

Look to Him, right?

I see the individual, look at Instagram, while worship and serving,

Could be a host. Look at Instagram, worship is happening

because nobody walk in yet, so I'm... You can tell, friends,

you can tell. Sometimes we think that we are serving,

but actually we are deceiving ourselves because we are not

fully convinced about worship. We are not fully convinced about

the world. We are not fully convinced about your own

relationship with God that can make a difference in your life.

Final word is accountability and this is how I'm going

to end. The master asked, what was done with the

talents given? What was done with the talents given? Let

me just give you this scripture. I was crucified with Christ.

It is no longer I who live, but Christ who

lives in me.

The life which now I live in the flesh, I

live by faith in the Son of God who loved

me and gave himself for me.

If we live our life knowing that we need to

give an account, come on, how would it change your life?

If you know that you need to give an account,

how would it change your life? Those of us who

went through education before, whether in schools or in colleges,

there's always an exam result. And because of the exam result,

it changes the schedule. Day-to-day also, you put in at

least 30 minutes of study in a week. you also

flip the textbook a bit. You sure what, friends? Because

you know you need to give an account of the result,

it changes your schedule.

It does.

Those of us who are working, who has a loan

to pay, it changes the way you use your monthly wages.

It does because you have the service alone.

If you know that you need to give an account

of your faith, How would it change you?

Thank you. The speakers agree with me. Let me just

try to go through these last few thoughts.

I think this is my last slide already, the Galatians chapter.

This is how I'm going to end. I was preparing

this message and this is how the Lord spoke to

me where we are right now, where you are right now,

what you received all these years of growing up, becoming

a believer, friends, becoming a believer, is because, it's all

possible because there was a generation before you, right, whichever

country you come from, a generation before you that prayed,

that have sold, that prayed, that have sold, so that

you who receive the Word of God. If that thought

doesn't change your thought process, I pray this to you.

So what's our responsibility to this generation and the next generation?

What's our responsibility right now as a believer to this generation?

Wherever you come from, this generation and the next. Because

you can only harvest if you sow.

Correct or not?

You can only harvest if you plant seeds. So where

we are right now, we are here, is because someone

planted a seed many years ago. Pray that churches will

start in Nilay. Even before Nilay was born. Even before

Nilay was born, someone prayed. Someone prayed. Somebody prayed. Plant

the seed. You accepted Christ. You are here right now.

Somebody planted. Somebody harvested. All of us have got an assignment.

So what is your response right now as a believer?

Because Hebrews chapter 12, we are called to run a race.

This race. The race can.

Only be celebrated when everyone finishes the race. Whereas this

race that we are running right now is not 100 meters.

When you say that, you know 100 meters, by the

time you finish 100 meters, everybody is celebrating. But the

baton has been passed off from one generation to another generation.

From one generation age group to another age group. Now,

if we don't pass it on, you know, sometimes we

look at the baton and go, wow, I like this colour,

I shall keep it. Then we will not do justice

to the next. We have a responsibility to the next.

That's why accountability is very important because we account, actually,

what's my purpose.

Of this baton?

Have you ever seen a runner in a 4x4 that

stopped for a while? Eh, why do you give me this?

Why did you give me this?

Right?

Halfway running, the word is that become distracted by the crowd.

Right? Maybe you see your girlfriend up on the stands there,

go like you wave. Right? Right?

You see a camera there, then you run slowly because

you want the camera to capture the best angle of you.

Right? You have the form of running, maybe you're not

running very fast. I don't know.

Distraction does happen, friends. I'm not saying distraction, but it

does happen in our daily life. But as you begin

to account, look at the beta, it reminds you the

purpose and the reason. As I close, friends, my challenge

to you is that do you know what you're supposed

to do?

Come on. Do you know that you.

Have a responsibility right now to sow so that the

next one could reap? Because I truly believe, friends, if

everybody just reap and nobody is sowing, I can guarantee you,

there won't be a next generation. As you begin to harvest,

you also must sow. So one generation sow, the next

generation harvest, and sow and harvest so the next generation can.

That's like clothes, friends.

All of us here got an assignment to do.

I'm so glad the Master did not go through and

ask the servants, hey, servant, please tell me your background

before I give you the talents. Regardless of the background,

as long as you say yes, I'll give it to you.

The Master only knows one thing, whether you'll be faithful

or not. I start off the message with this. What's

the image of a successful Christian?

It's the word faithfulness.

It is not Right now, where you are at this age,

tender age of 20, 21, 22, but will you still

hold on to God with friends?

And you are in your 50s or 60s.

Heard about a pastor up north who has to manage

two centres, two places, up and down, up and down,

driving every week. So when I met the pastors last week,

I said, how is this pastor doing? Oh, he just

survived a heart attack. Steal, discharge, carry on the work.

Why don't you just pause for a moment just to think?

What drives an individual that way? There are many pastors

in Malaysia right now whose either the words are burnout

or burning out because there's not enough workers.

Not enough workers. Not enough workers.

And we as a church, part of the church leadership

was just asking God, God, what's our response to account

for the 1,000 plus people that you brought to Acts Church?

We have about 1,000 plus people here in church. We

are about, if I'm not wrong, we are about, maybe about, globally,

we are about touching about 40 plus to 50.

Already in Indonesia, we are about like.

30, about close to 30, 30 plus, something around there.

And the Lord will ask you, what are you doing

with the people that He brought?

Your account.

Because once you take stock, really once you take stock

of why He blesses you with talents, once you take stock,

your life will never be the same again. Can I

just share that with you? Your life will never be

the same again. Because say, Lord, here am I. Like

the servants, God, here am I. Please don't be envious

of the person who received five talents. Please don't be

envious of the person who got one talent. I know

some of you, I don't want five.

I just want one. Okay?

Because I want more time for myself. No, it's not

about that, friends. I said earlier on, Galatians, this life

that I live, I live through Christ.

That's like clothes, friends. Really.

My word for you is just this, that would you

right now consider harvesting and sowing? Would you consider really

harvesting and sowing? There's a reason and a purpose why

God has given you life. While doing worship, the Lord

asked me to remind Ex-Nilai, look at what the Master did.

Did not ask for the servant's background. Did not ask

for the servant to give education level. Did not ask

the servant to submit resume. Did not do a background check.

Even with the servant that received one talent, the servant knew.

The master knew already that this servant might just not

do anything with the talent, but yet still give him

a chance, an opportunity. Maybe, maybe he'll get inspired by others.

Maybe he'll get inspired by the other servants that would transact,

who would trade, who would maximize the talent. But he

did not. He just hid it in the ground. And

the worst thing is to return back. Like God gives

you ingredients to bake, but you just return back the ingredients.

To return back. God, I didn't do anything with this

life you have given me. It's very sad, you know, friends.

I did not do anything with what you have given me.

As I close, I'm not here to condemn anybody. I'm

not here to put anybody down. I just want to

encourage you. I want to encourage you because, friends, life

is so precious.

You and I know that. But there has to be

more to life.
