This is Pastor Aaron and welcome to your daily walk.
-
Church family, thank you so much for committing to that one big gathering as we walk through our vision and values.
-
It was so good just to remember our mission.
-
Uh that this is who we are in Christ, and then to think about these categories, what it is to glorify God, abide in Christ, connect in community, and multiply disciples.
-
Next week we're back to two gathering times and we'll jump right into Philippians.
-
But this past weekend we looked at the idea of multiplying disciples, building Christ in our homes, developing intentional discipleship, and having a growing zeal for the gospel.
-
That's what our daily walk is about today.
-
A growing zeal for the gospel.
-
I want to read Romans chapter 1, verse 14 through 16.
-
And if you remember, this is where I've always loved verse 16.
-
Many people know I'm unashamed of the gospel, I'm unashamed of the gospel.
-
But we forget, and and I oftentimes never even looked at the context, that right there in verse 15, Paul says he's eager to preach.
-
So here it is, verse 14.
-
I'm under no obligation, both to Gentiles and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish.
-
So I'm eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome.
-
For I'm unashamed of the gospel, for it's the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also the Greek.
-
Simple question today.
-
How eager are you to preach the gospel?
-
At first Baptist Wimberly, we want to magnify Christ and share the gospel in our homes in the Wimberly Valley and beyond.
-
But it takes every individual part being eager to share the gospel.
-
If you had to score yourself from zero to ten, what would your honest score be today?
-
And then what would it take for the Lord just to take you a little bit closer to 10?
-
Just take one step closer to being eager to share the gospel.
-
Church Hamlin, I cannot wait to worship with you again.
-
God bless you.
-
I love you.
-
I'll see you soon.
