The Arrival

So we're going to be talking today about the Greek

word for the arrival. We're going to have to get

into the Greek and the mechanics of it. So God

bless everybody. Matthew Miller here from Maranatha Ministries. It's good

to be with you, and I'm so glad once again,

greatly appreciated.

That you could join me on my live stream.

So, the Greek word we're going to be talking about

properly can only be translated as the arrival, and that

is the Greek word parousia. Parousia, you have to roll

the R, but in English, of course, we would call

that parousia.

So let's take a listen to this.

And I strongly, strongly encourage all of you to get

familiar with Blue Letter Bible, because this will teach you

how to pronounce these Greek words, but Let's take a

listen to it. Strong's G, 3952.

Parousia. Parousia. See, you have to roll the R. Parousia.

But anyway, we in English say parousia. This is a

present participle of... Now listen, write these down in the

Strong's Concordant. This, what we're talking about.

Is G... 3952.

This is the present participle of G3918. So when we

take a look at that, let's understand that this is

a compound where it means to be with.

So the first part of the compound word is para,

and it means with or by, at.

Let's say it's a location. This word means you're at

that location. If it's talking about a person, you're with

that person. And then the Greek word G1510, which is Emi,

which is, well, I am that I am.

It means to exist. So literally speaking, this.

Means to be with, and this is the present participle

of it, It means to be with now.

To be with now.

This is what the Greek word parousia means. Parousia, that's

what it means. It is the present participle of to

be with or to be at. This throws the preterist

into great consternation.

Why is that?

Because the preterist reject the millennial reign of Christ.

They reject it. They do not.

Hold to the word when it says there will be

a literal millennial reign of Christ. This, because it's in

the present participle form, comes outright and disproves and dispels

this theological myth of preterism. Jesus Christ will arrive. He

will be with you, present participle. He will be with you. So,

very important that you understand this is why this word

is used in Matthew chapter 24, verse 3.

Let's read that. Let's read that. From the New King

James Version.

Now, as he sat on the Mount of Olives, his

disciples came to him privately saying, tell us, when will

these things be?

And what will be the sign of your parousia and

the end of the age? So take note.

In Greek, this is very exacting. This verse is extremely exacting.

This is saying that all... All thoughts of a pre-tribulational

rapture are false.

It dispels that. It does it categorically and systematically so.

It says, what will be the sign of your coming?

What will be the sign?

So they're asking him, we know there's going to be

a sign that happens before your arrival. So what will

the sign be that we know you're coming? Later on

in this chapter, he tells you, It will be the

sign of the Son of Man, which the whole world

will see. Even the dispensationalists and the preterists, they're going

to see his coming. So this means to see, to arrive.

So it states here in the next phrase that at

his parousia in Greek.

That is the end of the age. That's when he'll judge.

So this is outright rejecting any thoughts or hints of

a partial, cowardly pre-tribulation rapture. It dispels that. So, this

is why many dispensationalists and preterists will avoid the Greek

in this verse like the plague. They'll avoid it like

the plague. So, that being the case, when you look

at every time this instance is in the Scripture, we

even talked about before that this word is used with

in 2 Thessalonians 2, verse 8. They're used in conjunction

with each other. So this is how you know. The

sign they will see, the sign of the Son of

the coming man, is his epiphany when he appears in

the heavens. And so this is categorically saying, in conjunction

with this word, that you're going to see him coming

and he will get.

Brighter and brighter and brighter and brighter and brighter.

And he's so bright, at his parousia, his arrival, that brightness,

lamb blast, the false prophet.

And the beast. This is what it's saying.

So, we're going to categorically see this down later in

chapter 24 of verse 27. Jesus Christ categorically states this again.

There's no partial pre-trib rapture Jesus Christ isn't a coward.

He doesn't see the abomination of desolation and turn his

tail and run back to heaven.

That's not what happens. This is what he says.

He says, as for lightning comes from the east and

flashes to the west, so will the coming of the

Son of Man be. So here, rejecting any notion of

a secret, partial return of Christ.

No such thing. That is a theological myth.

It is also a theological myth that Jesus Christ will

not return and rule and reign and be with us.

Remember, parousia is the present participle form of the word

in Greek, paraeme, to be with or to be at. So,

it's amazing how when you know.

The exacting nature of the Greek, This is why the Bible,

God's holy word is written in Greek. It's because there

is no more of a complicated language. It literally says

exactly what it means. It's not a garbage language like English.

It is exacting in its nature. So here we go

down some more verses in 37 of Matthew chapter 24.

But as the days of Noah were, So will the

coming of the Santa Maria.

So will the Parousia. What is this categorically stating? It

is stating when the wave hit. That's what it's saying.

Remember when all of the fountains of the deep burst

force and the rain started pouring down at the same time?

This is what the coming of the Santa. This is

what it's saying. The Parousia is the arrival. No, no,

not before. No, when the flood hit. This is what

Jesus Christ is categorically and systematically telling you. That the

arrival of that flood is just like his arrival. So,

very important that we know that. Let's jump down to

verse 39.

Because there again, two verses later, he says parousia again.

He says it again. And did not know until the

flood came. See?

This verse is proving what I just said about the

other verse. And did not know until the flood came

and took them all away. So will the coming of

the Son of Man be. So when the flood hit, okay,

God is letting you know that the flood was like

a tsunami and obliterated them. Yes, the rain did fall,

but the fountains of the deep burst forth. A massive

tsunami hit them. Jesus Christ is literally telling you, my

arrival will be just like the flood hitting.

And indeed it will be.

Because the sword from his mouth will obliterate them just

like the flood did.

This is literally categorical. Very easy to teach in a classroom.

It's like, once you're taught this, once you look at it,

once I've put this on the whiteboard or the chalkboard

back in the old days before we had whiteboard, it's

very easy.

You just categorically see, okay, this is the way it is.

It's much like looking at an experience. when you look

at the Greek. The Greek is so exacting in what

it says.

So, let's do some more verses. So, jumping over to

1 Corinthians chapter 15.

Here we go again.

The dispensationalists falsely say that the rapture occurs some different

time than the resurrection. This, of course, is categorically false

as they're literally inverting what 1 Corinthians chapter 15 says.

cannot happen first. The resurrection of the dead. Remember, that's

why rapture was never used. The word rapture is never

used by a biblical scholar.

Who knows the Greek. The proper word to use Is resurrection.

There's two resurrections. There's the first resurrection of the righteous.

And the second resurrection. Of the unrighteous. Which occurs after

the millennial reign of Christ. After.

Satan has been let loose from the abyss. And he

gathers together Gog and Magog. And God the Father obliterates them.

Now these are.

Categorical truths. Straight from Ezekiel chapter 39. And of course

Ezekiel 39 · chapter mention

Revelation chapter 20.

Revelation 20 · chapter mention

You just.

Exegetically speaking, if you're talking about some other narrative, you're

actually referencing a theological myth. These verses have categorically stated

the case. So, 1 Corinthians 15, verse 23. But each

1 Corinthians 15:23

one in his own order, Christ the firstfruits, afterward those

who are Christ at his parousia, not pre-trib rapture.

What did it say?

So, when you read all the verses in the context

and really don't have time to do that, and you

need to learn to self-edify, you go.

To 1 Corinthians chapter 15.

Read the whole chapter. It's very categorical. No, the pre-trib

rapture does not happen before the first resurrection. It is

the first resurrection. So it's important that you're able to put.

Put everything in its proper place. Now you know what

the epiphany is, the appearing.

Boom.

He's going to appear like a supernova. He's going to

appear just like what the Magi saw in his first advent.

Not just we, those who are born again, the whole planet.

And those who have not been born again, once they

see him.

It triggers the prophecy. All the nations will mourn, including

the Judaists even from David's own family that have not

been born again.

They will mourn when they see his epiphany. When he

breaks through the upper atmosphere, this is his arrival. This

all happens at his arrival, not some pre-tribulation event. And

when it happens, he sets up his kingdom here. He

sets up his kingdom here. Preterism is a myth. It's

a theological myth. So, we have 1 Thessalonians 2. Verse 19.

For what is our hope or joy or crown of

rejoicing is it not even you in the presence of

our Lord Jesus Christ? When? At a pre-trib rapture? No.

At his parousia, at his arrival.

See, this is why the dispensationalists say, for the pre-trib,

he really don't come.

It's a partial coming. He only partially comes. He sticks

his head through the clouds.

He sees the abomination of desolation and a false prophet

and gets scared and snatches you up and goes back

to heaven.

No, that's not what happens. You get relocated just like

all the.

Hundreds of verses say that you're relocated by the angels

to this place that God has prepared. And it's at

that place that you will live and will be sanctified.

Your body, your mind, and your soul will be sanctified there.

1 Thessalonians 5, verse 23. That's where that happens. It

1 Thessalonians 5:23

doesn't happen in heaven. It happens here on earth under

the pillar of the presence. So, 1 Thessalonians 3, verse 13.

So that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness

before our God and Father, When?

At the partial? No, no, no, no.

At the parousia of the Lord Jesus Christ with all

his saints. Okay, why did it say that? Because the

rapture happens after the resurrection. Yes, he's going to bring

with him all of the.

Saints who have died before the birth pangs began.

And they are in paradise. He brings them with him.

The Bible categorically, the Greek categorically gives this revenant group.

And there's three revenant groups. What's revenant?

Don't have time to get into that. I've done other

videos about it.

This revenant group, the word declares to be those who

are asleep in Jesus. So, 1 Thessalonians 4, verse 15.

1 Thessalonians 4:15

For this we say to you by the word. By

the word, by the word of the Lord. That we

are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord

will by no means precede those who are what? I

just told you. Asleep. Those who are asleep in Jesus.

Because they get resurrected first. The resurrection happens before. Therefore it,

and this happens at this, 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 verse

1 Thessalonians 4:15

15 just told you categorically This is at his parousia.

There is no preacher of rapture. No such thing. Okay?

Jesus Christ plainly told you in other places, the angels

will gather you to his.

Barn on earth.

God don't have barns in heaven. And those who practice iniquity,

he bundles them up in bundles. That's the mark of

the beast, 666. Okay, so 2 Thessalonians 2, verse 1. Now, brethren,

2 Thessalonians 2:1

concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus, concerning the parousia,

the arrival, concerning the arrival, there is no partial return.

There's the arrival, the parousia in Greek. Now, brethren, concerning

the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering

together to him, We ask you. So, now we're two

to part. I said that seven verses later in 2

2 Thessalonians 2:8

Thessalonians 2, verse 8.

The two words put together.

Epiphany, once you see him, once you see him, the

parousia is in. Nothing, nothing can stop him because he

has been coronated the God of creation. God the Father

is the God of the spiritual dimension. He stays in heaven. Remember,

there's two dimensions. Thus saith the Word in Genesis chapter

Genesis 1:1

1 verse 1.

There's two dimensions. Two dimensions.

So, 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 verse 8 and 9. Parousia

2 Thessalonians 2:8

is in both of them.

And then the lawlessness will be revealed, whom the Lord

will consume with the breath of his mouth and destroy

with the brightness epiphany of his parousia. Verse 9.

The coming of the lawless one is accorded with the

work of Satan with all power, signs, and lying wonders. So,

take note. It is saying that the man of lawlessness

is going to be revealed to and his coming is

in conjunction with these things. So, this is why these

verses plainly say, if you think there's a pre-tribulational rapture

and you're never going to see the great apostasy and

the man of lawlessness, you're adhering to theological myths. Those

are all myths. The Word does not say that. I'm

being very categorical with you and relaying.

To you the existential truth.

These things are not, they can't be wavered to the

left or the right. If you move from the left

or the right of what this Greek is saying, you

have ventured into myths.

We're talking about the word. So, take note.

James chapter 5 verse 7. Therefore be patient, brethren, until

James 5:7

the coming of the Lord, until the parousia.

Uh-oh. If the resurrection happens first, that's at the end.

That's at the end. That's at the arrival. That's what

James chapter 5, verse 7 is saying. So let me continue.

James 5:7

See how the former waits for the precious fruit of

the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the

early and latter rain.

Here's a triggering event.

You're going to get the latter rain before it is parousia.

Therefore, this must happen during the tribulation. It must. So, wow,

we could just go on and on and on and

on and on. We're going to read 2 Peter 1,

2 Peter 1:16

verse 16. Because remember, this is going to describe to

you what a theological myth is like dispensationalism and preterism.

It's going to come right out in the Greek and

tell you what it is. For we did not follow

cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the

power and the parousia of our Lord Jesus Christ. But

were eyewitnesses to his majesty.

This establishes that they say they were witness to his

first advent.

That's why it's called Advent. But that's not a Greek word.

Advent is not a Greek word. This is why it's

common knowledge there's only.

Two advents of Christ.

And here the word is telling you his first advent

was of course his ministry. The second advent is what

it is. And you cannot hide it and it is

not sacred. At his arrival all the aforementioned verses come true.

All of them. Not some of them. All of them.

So 2 Peter 3, verse 12. Looking for the hastening

2 Peter 3:12

and the parousia of the day of God, because of

which the heavens will be dissolved, being a fire, and

the elements will melt with fervent heat. This is telling

you that there's going to be an arrival of God

the Father.

You know when this happens. This happens after the millennial

reign of Christ. after the battle of Gog and Magog,

matter of fact, Ezekiel chapter 39 categorically states that he's

here for seven full years before he recreates the heavens

and the earth. Yes, it does. All you have to

do is not ask anybody. Go read and believe Ezekiel

chapter 39.

He comes right out and tells you that for seven

years after Gog and Magog, Jesus Christ will be sitting

on his throne in Jerusalem and the pillar of the

presence will be here in his new temple. That new

temple is Ezekiel.

Of course, what's the next chapter? Yeah, Ezekiel 40 through 48.

Is all about this new place where God the Father

is at while Jesus is on his throne in Jerusalem.

You have to read it and believe it. You have

to read it and believe it. So, good stuff.

One thing for sure, we need to take a look

at 1 John 2 and.

Verse 38. Because we have here a very important truth

that people need to look at and you just need

to accept this is the categorical truth. Okay? This is

how it is.

And now, little children, abide in him, that when he appears,

we may have confidence and not be ashamed before him

at his parousia.

Not pre-trib rapture. So, I hope that through this video

and the prior video, the epiphany, I hope you're able

to dispel all of.

These cunningly devised fables that are packaged and are in

fact theological myths, like dispensationalism, like preterism. The next fellowship

be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Thus saith the Word.

Thus saith the Word, praise God.

Going with it is Hebrews chapter 10, same verses, 26

You must be born again. Water baptism, don't cut it.

Water baptism does not say the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

You must be born again. So you need to prepare

yourself for these coming things. If Jesus Christ was crucified

in 30 AD, these things are coming at breakneck speed.

They're not three.

I mean, I can literally almost reach out and grab

them right there. Anyway, for those that you've been born again,

you're a water baptized churchgoer, you know, I mean, you know, harm.

I'm not trying to make your situation worse by making

you emotional and upset. So I'm not telling you you

have to repent or anything else.

Because once you're in the word. The spirit can move.

Why?

Because the Bible. God's holy word is inspired. It's inerrant.

And it's infallible. So because it's inspired. Because the Holy

Spirit wrote it. If you saturate yourself with it. And

throw away all your commentaries. All your books. All your videos. DVD.

If you throw away all that garbage.

And just get resources to study the Bible.

And study the.

Word in Greek. And the word in Hebrew. Your psyche

can be healed. From that dispensational scarring. Your psyche can

be healed. From that preterized scarring. Get into the word.

Get into the word. That the spirit might move.
