It's Time To Purify: I'm Coming Clean // It's Time (Part 3) // Michael Todd

Welcome to Transformation Church Podcast, where we represent God to

the lost and found for transformation in Christ. We're so

glad you're here, and wherever you're listening from, we believe

God will transform your life through today's message.

Come on, let's give God praise in this building. You're

in the house today, and I believe that God has

something specific for you.

We are in a series.

Right now called It's Time. Somebody shout at me, It's Time.

And the under idea of this is it's time to shift.

And if you don't sense the shifting that's happening all

around you today in this service, I'm praying that the

shift happens inside you.

And today I've been excited.

I've been waiting all week to preach to you because

I left last Sunday and I like when things work. Now,

I don't know about you, like some people put in

work and then it's like, oh, it didn't happen.

But I like when.

God says something and I say something and I see

it come back in the form of transformation in people's lives.

And so we said it's time to shift and we

told people it's time to get in the house.

And can I tell you that.

Last week after church, there were 80 or no, 73

people who got baptized on the lawn yesterday. Amen. Last Sunday,

can we celebrate people making a shift in their life?

Baptisms got so good that somebody went down and came

up and then got proposed to. Only at Transformation Church.

You get baptized and get a ring.

Glory to God. Somebody say shift. She went down single,

came up with a man.

All right.

Somebody like, where the water? Where the water?

Where the water? Okay, let me see. Oh, God. The

reason I'm saying this is because the word of God

is an active instruction manual. It doesn't matter how much

you know if you never do it. And so at TC,

I always celebrate the action of God's people. Not just

the idea of an action, but the actual action of it. Y'all,

this has been blessing me so much, and I'm hearing

the stories and the testimonies from the people who are

even on the Pando app. We have hundreds of thousands

of partners that are watching, that are incarcerated right now.

Can we say what's up, Transformation Church, to everybody who's watching,

who's currently? Oh, y'all can do better than that. We

they family. I love you. We're praying for you. The

reason why this is important is we got a letter

this week from people who are literally in the penitentiary

right now, whose lives are being transformed from content that

is being produced and provided and paid for by the

people that are here. It's going into these places and

it's transforming people's lives. I love getting to go to

the lobby and meet people and be like, yo, what's up,

Pastor Mike?

And I'm like, what's up?

And they'll be like, I've been watching you on the

Pando app for two years.

And then they just put their arms out.

And say, I'm so glad to be in the house

that transformed my life, y'all. TC, even though we're going

to celebrate the transformation or not, guys, come on, man.

Pastor Mike, why are you telling me this? It's because

this is why we pray. This is why we give.

This is why we show up. This is why we do.

Because it's time for somebody else's transformation to happen. I

tell you this because the Bible says we overcome by

the blood of.

The Lamb and the words of our own testimony.

So we got one more testimony that came from somebody

on social media. And I want you to see this.

We were at this point of service last week. And

the person was at home in Tulsa watching the message.

And I said something over the interwebs. that convicted them

in their spirit so much so that they got their

husband up and they came to the church so that

they could participate in baptisms. Somebody say shift. It shifted

her out of her bed to the house of God.

What was the message last week?

Get in the house.

Some of y'all would have waited a month.

And she said, no, no, no. I got to go now.

You don't believe me.

Check out this video real quick. It's her testimony. Go ahead. Testify, girl.

I did something today that I haven't done in a

few months.

I watched church.

When I woke up this morning, something told me to

tune in to Transformation. I do not know why. They

haven't even been on my For You page. I have

not watched church in so long. I tuned in to

the series. It's called It's Time. I watched today's sermon

in tears because I felt like he was talking directly

to me. At the end, he said that they were

doing Flood Sunday. Immediately, I jumped up. I told my husband,

put on some clothes. We have to go to Transformation

right now. I was praying the whole way there as

my husband did almost 100 on the highway that they

were still doing the baptism. Y'all, we pulled up right

when they were getting ready to end. As I was

walking up, one of the security officers recognized me and

he asked me what was up and I started crying

and told him I need to be baptized. Immediately, he

had somebody come grab me and she walked me over

and had these two amazing people baptize me. Without hesitation,

everybody gathered around me, gave me nothing but love and encouragement,

and they put me right in the pool.

He asked me if I wanted to change clothes.

I said, no, I just want to do this. Have

you ever felt like God was literally tugging you and

trying to tell you, come back to him? That was

the tug I got today. It was so strong, it

scared me. It's a feeling that I cannot describe honestly.

Pastor Todd said you need to be in the house.

We cannot touch you and love on you properly. If

you're not in the house, that did something to me

because I remember one of my friends told me the

same thing about a year ago when we all started

going to Transformation Church. To feel these people love on

me and to hear me and to wipe my tears

and tell me it's going to be okay and that

the shift is coming, it felt so powerful because I

needed that. Everything that's going on around me right now,

I feel like God is going to make that change,

but he needed me to accept that change. And he

also was trying to get my attention, and obviously I have.

Been ignoring it.

I'm no longer ignoring it now. God, you got my attention. Bye, y'all. Church,

can we give God praise for the transformation that's happening

in people's lives? All right, I'm ready to preach now.

common sense shift that Rahab made. And she got into

the house. And right now, we're going to Joshua chapter 3.

And I believe that God is about to speak to

you in a way that's going to transform your life.

This is the last thing I'm going to do because

some of y'all didn't exercise this week. Would you stand

up for the reading of the word this morning? I'm

going to get them knees, the blood flowing in them

knees real quick. We're going to start in Joshua chapter one.

I mean, chapter three, verse one. It says early the

next morning, Joshua and all the Israelites left Acacia Grove

and arrived at the banks of the Jordan River where

they had camped before crossings.

Three days later, the Israelite officers.

Went through the camp giving these instructions to the people.

I need you to underline this if you have this

in your Bible. When you see the Levitical priest carrying

the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord your God, shift.

When you see the Ark of the Covenant, move. When

you see the Ark of the Covenant, come out of

the position you are in and follow the Ark of

the Covenant. Since you have never traveled this way before.

The Ark of the Covenant, the presence of God, it

will guide you. Stay about a half a mile behind them.

Keep a clear distance between you and the Ark. Make

sure you don't come any closer. Then Joshua told the people,

write this down, y'all. Purify yourself.

Purify yourself.

I'm going to say it one more time for the

people in the back. Purify yourself. For tomorrow, the Lord

will do great wonders among you.

Will you look at your.

Neighbor and tell them the title of my message? It's

time to purify. Look at the neighbor you didn't like

as much the first time and tell them my message

title too. It's time to to purify. Write it in

the chat. If you want God's Word to speak to

your life, just give God one more.

Cup of praise real quick. You may be seated. It's time.

To purify. Now, if I would have said, it's time

to get paid, I would have heard, whoo! And if

I would have said, it's time to find your partner,

it would have been like, yes, yes, yes, yes.

I see you, girl. That's one of our senior saints

She always looking for a man.

Here we go. You got to be part of the

family church.

Get in the house. Okay, here we go.

But it's time to purify, not time to get paid,

not time to get pumped up, not time to increase

your platform. The scripture explicitly says it's time to purify.

And then it goes on to say ain't nobody going

to do the purification except you. Purify yourself.

Purify yourself.

I need you to understand the context of what's happening

right now. So rewind with me through the Bible and

see that the children of Israel have been wandering in

a wilderness after being saved out of Egypt. God brings

them into a holding place until they get to the

promised land. They disobeyed in the holding place. They mama

them was idol worshipers. They mama them didn't listen to

the leadership. They mama and grandmama them wanted to do

their own thing.

And so they died.

In the place they were supposed to pass through. Moses dies,

Joshua's a new leader at the beginning of Joshua chapter one,

and then what ends up happening is God says in

three days we're gonna go possess what everybody has been

waiting for a whole generation to get. I just want

you to see how quickly God can shift your situation.

You can go from waiting for 40 years and in

three days it changes just like, okay, I just need

you to see it. That quick. But before they cross

into the promised land, God says, I need you to

do something. I need you to purify yourself. And the

reason why this is important is because God wanted to

do something that could not be done if they weren't purified.

It literally said, tomorrow, I want to do great wonders

among you.

What?

Do you think God would do if he described what

he wanted to do as a great wonder? This is

the God who spoke the world into existence. This is

the God who literally told the sun to stand still

and sit right there and it's still coming up and

doing the same thing off of one word he spoke.

You don't got to check on the sun no more.

If God tells you, hey, clean yourself up because tomorrow

I'm about to do things eyes haven't seen.

Ears have not heard.

You've never written it down in your journal, the things

that I have planned for you. The only prerequisite is

clean it up. And I'm not telling you what you

need to clean up because God said the pastor ain't

going to clean you up. The priest ain't going to

clean you up. Joshua's not going to clean you up.

It said purify yourself. Okay. Okay. I'm trying not to

get ahead of myself right now. Okay, so let me

get in my teaching bag. According to Ephesians 4.11, I

need some glasses right now. There are five gifts that

God gives to the church. He gives the apostle, he

gives the pastor, he gives the prophet, he gives the teacher,

he gives the evangelist. I dabble in all of them.

So today I'm going to give you the teacher mic.

So if I had a professor jacket, I would be

a professor today.

And I want to teach you about God.

The intricate parts of this scripture that most believers miss

because they don't have understanding. The Bible tells us in

all you're getting, get in understanding. So it's not cool

to just read through your scriptures and your daily Bible

plan to get a streak. 98 days with reading the Bible,

but you don't understand it. And so today, one of

the key places I need you to understand, write this

down because we're in a class this morning, okay?

So you need to take notes.

The church and this church has to understand the Ark

of the Covenant.

Now, I know that sounds like.

Something out of an Indiana Jones movie, and I know

that sounds like something that you've seen, but this was

a real thing. And I want you to understand the

significance of it and how it applies to us today.

The importance of this is paramount. That means in Scripture.

There's a couple of things that are like, you've got

to know what this is. And this is why we

have to stay with biblical teaching and understanding so that

we can understand what God was trying to say through

certain things. So the Ark of the Covenant, understanding.

That is like.

Like if you watch the Marvel series, how many people

like the Marvel series, all the things? Yeah, church people

love that. So it's like watching that and not understanding

what infinity rings are. It's like watching football. How many

people like football? Okay, come on. All right. It's like

watching football and not knowing what a touchdown is.

Do you understand? You have to understand.

The basic concepts of the thing. And so this is

why I want to explain to you the arc of

the covenant because it's very important. Exodus chapter 20, I'm

just going to paraphrase it. This is when God gives

Moses the Ten Commandments. Y'all remember the Ten Commandments? Y'all

watched the Heston movie and y'all seen that?

Okay, good. The Ten Commandments were not just an idea.

That time it was God speaking to man so when

Moses went up on the mountain and had a meeting

with God.

What he came down with.

Was the word of God on two tablets okay but

then in Exodus 25 one man and one God met

together but our God always desired to have relationship with

his people And so because he had desire to have

relationship with his people, he said, I need my presence

to be among my people. All these people will not

come up to the mountain. I need to make a

place where my presence resides on earth among the people.

So they built in Exodus 25, the Ark of the Covenant.

Behind me, this is a picture of the Ark of

the Covenant. It was built out of acacia wood and

it was covered in gold.

On the outside and the inside.

It was about three and a half feet long and

two and a half feet deep. It was something that

they put a few things in and was to be

carried on poles.

You weren't supposed to come and touch.

This if you didn't have the credentials to get around

the presence of God. I need everybody to understand how

important this was. This was God's manifest presence among his people.

Write that down.

The Ark of the Covenant represents God's manifest presence among

his people. Now, I need you to stay with me

because this is going to make a lot of sense

in just a minute. But without the Ark of the Covenant,

God was never with his people. With the Ark of

the Covenant, God was among his people. That's why we

sing it at Christmas time, but it's.

A year-round word.

Emmanuel means God with us. His presence is with us.

Let me give you an example. I have four kids

and we have a house that sometimes you gotta yell

for people to know that they are needed.

Any parents in the house right now?

You just sat down to eat and you could get

up and go up the stairs and tell them, but

instead of doing that, you just yell.

Oh, I'm the only one, cool.

Okay. Now watch. My children know I'm in the house,

but my manifest presence is when I've called for them

and they didn't come.

And then I opened the door and come in a room.

That's my presence manifesting. I need you to understand. So

what God was trying to say is, you know, I'm God.

Just look around.

You know I'm God because you've seen me do other miracles,

but my desire is to be the God that walks

in your situation and you can see.

That I am in this place with you. Emmanuel, God with,

say me.

God with me. He ain't just with us, he with me.

When I go to that job, he's Emmanuel, God with me.

When I don't know what to do with the situation,

he is Emmanuel, God with me. His desire is relationship

with us. And so back in this day, he said,

I got to create a way for them to know

my presence is with me. That's why in Hebrews chapter nine,

verse four, it says, in the room were a gold

incense altar and a wooden chest called the Ark of

the Covenant, which was covered with gold on all sides.

This is just confirming everything I just told you. Inside

the Ark were a gold jar containing manna, Aaron's staff

that spouted out leaves, and the stone tablets are the

Ten Commandments. So let me break this down for you.

We're still in class right now. Inside the Ark of

the Covenant were three things. The first thing were the

Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments were the Word of God,

and it was put in here to represent that the

Word should always be a part of the presence of God.

Do y'all see it right there? The Word of God

is in there. And then it had Aaron's staff. And

now Aaron's staff, he.

Was a priest.

And back in the day, before we got our high priest, Jesus,

there had to be somebody that mediated between God and

man because you had to approach God a certain way

because he's this big word that is four letters, holy.

And so he wouldn't let just anybody come and approach

him if they didn't approach him right.

I'm going somewhere with this.

And so what ended up happening is Aaron's rod represented

that God always gave man authority to be able to

speak on behalf of the people to God and for

God to speak to them and get back in relationship

because he.

Always wants relationship with you.

So that was supposed to represent relationship with God and

the priest who would make sure that would happen. The

last thing that was in the Ark of the Covenant

was a jar full of manna. Does anybody know what

manna is? The children of Israel didn't even know what

it is.

Literally manna means.

What is it? But when they came out of slavery

in Egypt, they didn't know how they were going to

eat every day. And God said, even in the wilderness,

I'm going to provide sustenance for you. So every morning

they were going to wake up and this little bread

was going to be all over the grass like dew.

And it only lasted one day because he wanted them

to be dependent on him daily. Okay. Okay. So he

wanted everybody to understand that these three things had to

be a part.

Of his presence.

The word, relationship, and him providing for them. Okay, let

me break it down even further. We're almost out of class.

15 more minutes and you're going to get an A. Okay,

here we go. The tablets represented God's word. Because God

always works by principles. He is a consistent God and

anything consistent doesn't just get made up on the spot.

It has a principle it's built off of.

And so when you see God's word.

You actually see, hold on, there's something I can build

off of here.

This is why we read this.

It's not because I need to prove to anybody that

I know Psalms 92 or Philippians 6.

Forget that.

I got to have something to build my life with.

I'm not about to build my life on sand. I'm

not about to build my life with a material.

That changes all the time.

I got to build it on something that is consistent

enough to put my family on. I got to build

it with something that's consistent enough to build this marriage on.

And those are what God calls principles. And so the

Ark of the Covenant had principles attached to it. Then

it was Aaron's staff, which represented God's want for relationships.

And this was the priesthood. This is gonna make sense

in just a moment. But the truth of the matter is,

the presence of God you just felt in worship, that

thing that just changed you just a moment ago, that

thing that made that woman she said at the beginning

of the video, something told me to get up and

come to church.

That was the Holy Spirit.

Access to God's presence was not available to common man

back here. I want you to understand how good you

got it. See, if you don't understand the Ark of

the Covenant, these people could not access God. They couldn't

just like say a prayer and talk to God. You

know how we just say, just talk to God about it.

They couldn't do this. And you choosing not to do

it when you can. They couldn't. You can and you don't.

But they couldn't. but you can and you don't. They

needed a priest who was clean. They needed a priest

that didn't sin. They needed a priest and a lamb

and a goat and a perfect lamb. They had to

do all of this because God wanted relationship. Y'all know what?

Sometimes they would have to send a priest into the

temple to be able to send their prayer.

Request in and they tied a.

Bell to their little cloak because what they would know

is if the little bell rang, it meant that the

priest fell dead because they wasn't really clean. Amen. And

they would attach a rope to him and drag him out.

Because they couldn't go in and get him.

Because you had to approach God's presence a certain way.

But could anybody thank God for his grace and his mercy?

That even when I wasn't clean, I just got to

take a five second praise break. That I could still

talk to God.

And ask him for his help.

When I was still becoming a better person, that I

could lift my hands and say, God, I need you.

All the perfect people, you can be quiet. But for

all of us that needed God's grace, I have to

help you understand this because the Ark of the Covenant

wasn't just a word. This represented the presence of God

among his people. The last thing that it had in

it was a jar of manna. Because even though God

was not providing for them in that same way throughout

this entire story, He wanted them to know that I'm

always the way of your needs getting met. You remember

when I provided manna for you? He said, my presence always,

watch this, provides what you need. And that was a

sign of God's provision. This is what was inside the

Ark of the Covenant. This was important because it was

like God coming to sit in at your table. So now,

if God came to sit at your house, at your table.

In your living room, how would you clean up?

Now, I know when your friend from work comes over,

you throwing stuff in closets and.

Throwing stuff out the windows. And come on, y'all.

Y'all know we don't need that, putting stuff under the bed.

If your boss came to your house.

You repainting.

Come on, let's see. Depending on the level of authority

that that person has in your life, it would be

an indication of how you would clean up. If God

was coming to put his presence there, in your house,

how would you clean up? Because he literally tells him, purify.

Ain't nobody coming to clean your house?

Okay.

You know where the stuff is at. You know where

you're hiding them lies. You know where that pornography addiction sits.

You know where that jealousy is. I'm not about to

come to your house and look for that. Purify yourself.

I remember preaching when I first started at my youth

ministry called So Fly. This is the first time I

started preaching back at 1519. Anybody was at So Fly

back in the day? Y'all still rocking. I love y'all

so much. Yes, Mama Chloe, 1519. I just said that.

Somebody get her. Um, when I was preaching, I started

off Bishop, you'll remember this. I started off preaching a

message to the teenagers called the summer sex series. And

when we did the summer sex series, everybody was there.

I don't know if it was cause summer or sex,

but everybody.

Was coming.

And then the Holy spirit at the end of that

eight or 10 week message series, he said, I want

you to do a message on purity. And everybody was there.

I did a message on purity. That next week, half

the audience disappeared. Abracadabra. Because purity is not something you

play with. Guys, I'm trying to let you know we

can yell shift all day. And we can say, promised land,

he said it in his word. If he said it,

we believe it. We can do that all day. But

it comes with a condition. Tomorrow you about to see

great wonders. But today, you got to purify yourself. This

is the last day that some of y'all look at

certain things. This is the last day. You might have

to go through some drawers and throw some stuff away.

This is the last day that you smoke that, drink that.

You don't need a cabinet of those substances anymore.

Somebody say, this is the last day.

Because tomorrow, God wants to do a great wonder in

my life. But today, I got to purify myself. There's

certain Instagrams or Finstas you need to delete. There's people

you follow over there that you can't follow where they.

Can really know your name.

I'm in your business right now. Some of y'all need

to get off of social media altogether because you know

it's a cesspool of comparison for you. Purify Jordan. Are

you willing to give up the great miracle because you

like this secret moment? These secret moments are messing up

the great miracles. You still having casual sex with people

because you feel lonely. You still keep them numbers in

your phone. He said, purify. Delete them. Right now, delete them.

I'm looking at you. Delete. You're sacrificing great wonders for

a moment of pleasure. And I do mean a moment.

And this... you keep lying on your taxes for.

$ 2, 500 so you can buy some rims or a big

screen or go on a vacation nobody's coming to do

this you're just holding up what God wants to do.

In your life purify yourself you know the only reason

you go to that gym is to see that girl

in them pants on Thursday Y'all acting like I'm up

here making stuff. You got gym equipment at your house.

You got a whole total gym. Shout out to RIP

Chuck Nordis. What I'm saying to you is you could

save the money and save your soul if you would

purify yourself. Numbers chapter four, verse 15. This ain't really

my message, but I think a couple of people need

to understand this. The Ark of the Covenant was such

a big deal or the presence of God was such

a big deal that there was once this guy named

Uzzah and he touched the presence the wrong way. He

was playing with the presence of God. They already messed

up because the Bible was strict with its instructions with

the presence of God that you were supposed to have

men that were certified carrying it on poles. So there

would be four men carrying it because it would probably

get heavy over a time.

There's some concrete tablets in that mug.

So they're actually carrying it, but they got tired and

tried to help God with what he said. So they

put the Ark of the Covenant, the presence of God,

they put it on some oxen. And one of the

oxen stumbled. And when the oxen stumbled, I call him

for short. He literally tried to reach out and hold

up the presence of God. And when he touched it

the wrong way, the Bible says he died immediately. I

thought when I read that in the Bible, that was extreme.

But God was trying to prove a point. Don't approach

my presence any type of way. Let me say it

to you in a point. Don't play yourself by playing

with the presence of God. I know the people around

us was like, they was like, what happened? He touched

the presence of God the wrong way. Thank God. When

we have sinned or sending text message of sin in church.

When that Snapchat came in and you know what it was,

but you sit next to your youth leader, like. No,

I'll look at that later. Oh my God, Lord, I'm

in your presence. I'm just saying, thank God we don't

get killed I mean, this whole section, ew. Nah, I'm

just saying. I'm just saying, thank God we don't get

killed because of the grace of God. But he's still

trying to prove a point. Don't play with my presence.

Because it's powerful enough to transform your life. Let me

just tell you one more thing about the Ark of

the Covenant. This Ark of the Covenant was a temporary fix.

This is not what God wanted to be long-term. That's

why it ain't around today. The Bible says that this

temporary fix was for an eternal problem. And God wanted

his people and his presence to be together.

And this all has to do with one name.

What is his name? Jesus.

See, you could replace the Ark of the Covenant with

this name.

See, because when you start looking at the parallels between

what God was trying to teach the people, he says

when Jesus shows up, Jesus is the word.

He said, I'm the word. I'm the living word.

And then it says, Jesus is the wage that paid

for us to actually have a relationship with God.

And Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

He said, he's the way that all your provision.

Will be made.

And then Jesus gives us principles every day in his

word to live by. Jesus, the Bible says, is our

high priest. And Jesus is all that we need. So

he is provision. Say his name, shout it out. Jesus.

Say it like demons tremble when you say it. Jesus.

Say it like you know that we don't need a

mediator because we got him. Jesus. This is why we

worship Jesus. This is why we praise him. And the

Ark of the Covenant was kept in a temple, but

guess what? The temple that the presence was kept in,

that was temporary too. Because the Bible tells us in

1 Corinthians 3.16, don't you realize? that you are now

the temple. So for every person that gets saved, you

are the new ark.

Of the covenant.

This is why you can't just look at things and

pass them over. What he was trying to say because

of Jesus, when you accept him, now you have relationship

with me and on the inside of me is my presence.

That's why you can be at the gym and meet

with God. That's why you can be in the shower

and meet with God. That's why you can be on

the toilet and meet with God. Don't act like he

don't speak to you on the throne. That's why you

can be. I want us to have understanding. This is

important because the presence of God is the thing that

they have to be led by. So I need everybody

to understand this from this point on. It gets real simple.

That Joshua tells them, hey, when you see the Ark

of the Covenant or the presence of God, that's when

you come out or shift from your position and you

start following the presence of God. This means you don't

just move because you can. Don't go without his presence

leading you. He's saying, we about to go into the

promised land, but you better wait for the presence to

pass your tent before you start moving. And this is

why I need everybody to understand why it's so important

for us. to value the presence of God, to value worship,

to value a meeting place with him. I heard this

story that really blessed me because I don't know if

anybody's ever been to Graceland. Has anybody ever been to

Graceland in Memphis? Okay, my dad took us to Elvis's

old house one day. We used to travel all over

the country and people was lined up to get into Graceland.

And it was interesting because the house is now kind

of in the hood. You know, we pulled up and

I was.

Like, this is where Elvis lived.

Okay. And it's changed over the years. And when I

got up to the house, I was like, this house

is kind of ugly. Wow. And then we went in

the house and like there's rag, like rug carpet on

the floor and on the walls. And he even has

a jungle room. And it was just an ugly edifice. Wow.

But there were thousands of people visiting this place.

And every year on Elvis.

Day in August, people come from all over the world,

not because of the architecture and not because.

Of the decor.

They make a special trip to this place because that

house was once the house that had the presence of

Elvis Presley living in it.

Pastor Mike, what are you saying to me?

What makes you special and a threat to the enemy

is who lives on the inside of you. I need

you to hear me say this with all of my might.

I need you to understand the reason it's time to

purify is because God's on the inside and he's trying

to do something so the whole world can see. But

he has one caveat. You got to purify. What area

in your life right now do you know is out

of order? what area in your life you don't need

a prophetic word you don't need nobody to pray for

you you can tell me right now I'm angry I'm

jealous my words are sharp I'm hateful I'm still mad

I'm indifferent. You can identify, because nobody knows you like you.

It's a wonder to me that God didn't say, come

out of your tents and we're having a purifying session.

He said, stay in your tent, because everybody don't need

to see this.

Purify.

This is the grace of God, because if he did it.

In front of everybody... Come on, if everybody knew what

you was really dealing with, they'd judge you. But God's

grace is so good, he was like, hey, tomorrow I'm

about to do great wonders. But I need that marriage

to be purified. I need your thoughts to be purified.

I need your actions to be purified. Purify yourself. Pastor Mike,

what do you want me to know? The presence of

God is where you get purified. Why do we worship

so long? Y'all got 45 minutes, 50 minutes of worship.

Why y'all be worshiping so long? You've never asked why

movies so long. Ever. But the reason, if you must

have an answer, the reason we worship so long is

because we're trying to get cleansed.

In our minds, in our hearts.

Some of us had a hard week. Oh, come on, y'all.

Some of us are in a season right now. The

reason we needed to shift is because there's a bunch of,

and this is.

You filled in the blank. I didn't say nothing.

All I'm telling you is the reason why we're singing

these songs and reminding ourselves of God's goodness and trying.

To get it.

It's because I'm trying to wash myself in his word.

I mean, I'm trying to get purified. I want to

fight and you want me to have faith and I

want to bust ahead and you want me to bless them.

I'm purifying myself. And this is what I want everybody

to know. If you set up a meeting place with God,

he'll always show up. I'm going to put it in

a point, put it on a big on the back

screen so they can see. You set it up, he'll

show up. If you set it up, he'll show up.

The reason why people don't see God move is because

they won't set the meeting. Moses, when he went to

go meet with God, every time he came back with something.

And if I could be honest, Michael, every time I

set up a meeting with God, I come back with something.

It's not always what I want. Sometimes I go in

for blessing and he corrects me. Yeah, I know what

you're talking about, but you need to go apologize. Not

what I came for. Has anybody gone to God and

been like, that was not what I came for today,

but thank you, sir. But if you set it up,

he'll show up. Set up a place of prayer, he'll

show up. Set up a place of worship, he'll show up.

Set a place up where you get in his word,

he'll show up. And God tell him, I don't want

you to shift without my presence. Why are you saying this,

Pastor Mike? Because the new version that you're going into,

it requires revision. Hear what I'm saying to you. He

said you got to purify yourself because you've never been

this way before. This is a promise that God's about

to bring you into new territory. God's about to bring

you into places you've never been before.

You've never had the level of.

Influence you're about to have. You've never had the platform

that you're about to have. You've never had the level

of connection. You've never had it before.

That's why you got to follow his presence.

Because if you go out here just trying to do

it by yourself, that's how you get hurt. He said,

I want you to follow my presence. You've never been

this way before. Purify yourself. Because God's promises always come

with a price tag. And most people never see the

promises because they don't want to pay. Every person that

paid the price tag in this situation of purity, they

got to see the promised land. Today, I came to

tell you we're shifting. Thank you for the two person that.

But you can't shift if you do not purify. Thank you, sir.

I know it's sobering. I see even say it sucks,

but the Bible calls it sanctification. He said, I'm working

some stuff out of you that cannot go into this

next season. And I see the religious people right now.

It's like, this word is great for them. God bless them.

They really need... Hallelujah.

Anyhow, you needed that.

And some of the most disgusting people to Jesus, to Jesus,

not to me, to Jesus, were those who were always

looking to see how the word applied to others and

never trying to see how it applied to them. If

I'm saying this word to you, this is your next

shift instruction. You need to purify... Yourself. I don't care

how many years you've been in church. I don't care

how many churches you've led. I don't care how many

Bible studies you have or followers you have talking about Jesus.

If there is an area in your life that you

cannot publicly get up and say, this is where I'm at.

You need to get rid of it. One of my

favorite songs. is an Elevation Worship song that said, I'm

gonna see a victory.

I'm gonna see a victory.

For the battle belongs to you, Lord.

And I thought about this when God told them to purify,

and I wrote it down as a point. The battle

belongs to the Lord, but the bath belongs to you.

Did y'all hear what I just said?

The battle belongs to the Lord, but the bath....

You being washed, the purity, the bath belongs to you.

He's going to fight this battle.

You got to clean it up.

Not the battle, yourself. It says, when you see the

Levitical priest, the Ark of the Covenant move, shift into position,

since you have never traveled this way before, it will

guide you. I need everybody here. in this last five

minutes to understand these four things because I see too

many people romanticizing their bondage. When you romanticize the bondage like, man,

it was better back there, man. We was in slavery,

but at least we had some wing stop. Man, we

was getting beat every day, but at least we, like,

has anybody ever, like, thought that a bad season was

better because you're not in your next season yet? Hear

what I'm saying to you. Here are four things that

can't shift with you into the promised land. This is

why you have to purify because you can't take the

worry into the promised land. You can't be worried about tomorrow.

You can't be worried about what you're going to eat

and what's going to happen. You can't be worried about this.

And God says, hey, I know back there you were

worried about all this stuff, but I need you to shift.

Somebody say shift. Say it with faith.

Say shift.

I need you to shift into trusting me. I've sustained

you all of this time. I'm not going to leave

you now. I need somebody to hear me say this

with everything I've got. The Bible says I was young

and now I'm old, but I have never seen the

righteous forsaken or their children, bloodline generations. I've never seen

their children begging for breath. God's saying, don't bring that worry. Instead,

worship me. Every time you're about to work, get in

my presence. God, I'm sorry. God, I worship you. Second

thing that cannot go into the promised land are the wounds.

The worries can't go into the promised land and the

wounds can't.

That's why if you ever get a gash or a cut,

the first thing that a medical person does is they

clean the wound. They purify the wound even if it burns.

You put anything in an open wound, I need you

to blow on mine.

Y'all know what I'm saying?

You know, it don't even help, but it just mentally.

But why?

It's because if you have a wound, which we all are.

Going to have wounds, The wilderness provides wounds to.

All of us.

Is there anybody in here that could be honest and

be like, I got some wounds. I want to go

into the promised land. The worst thing with a wound

is for it to get infected. This is why God

is saying, purify yourself because you did get cut, but

I don't want.

That wound to turn into something that takes your life.

So the third thing that was in the wilderness that

can't go into the promised land is the idol worship.

Oh, God.

Back in the wilderness, they were making other things that

were not God idols. It looks like some of us

right now making political parties idols. It's quiet in here.

It's quiet in here.

But if you get with your group of friends and

y'all start talking about stuff, that might be an idol

in your life. You're making fashion an idol. You're making

money an idol. And God says, guess what ain't going

into the promised land? Y'all worship in anything other than me.

You got to leave the worry. You got to leave

the wounds. You got to leave the idol worship. And

the last thing right here to purify yourself, you got

to leave the wickedness. Now this word wickedness is interesting

because what it really means is to pervert or twist.

So it's something that the image is something that is

straight that you then begin to contort. So whatever is

wicked in your life is something that was meant to

be done one way, but then you turn it a

little bit. What God is saying is anything that is

not straight in your life, that's just a little twisted,

you got to leave that here. You can't go into

the promised land. That's why he said purify yourself because

I don't know what you've perverted, but you do. Purify yourself.

consecrate yourself. That's what we just did this past week

in fasting and praying. We set ourselves aside from looking

at certain things and eating certain things because God's saying,

I want to do something great wonders, but I can't

do it if you don't purify yourself. Pastor Mike, you

keep saying the same thing because I don't want you

to forget that the promised land being held up is

no longer God's fault. When you get to the beginning,

you're like, God, you didn't do what you said. You

never took a bath. You never washed that off. You

never cleansed yourself. You never confessed to anybody. You never

said anything. You never said, God, search me. If there's

anything in me that's not like you, show me. God,

I will denounce anything. I will let go of anything.

I will move anywhere. I'll do whatever you say, but

cleanse me and make me whole. I need to purify

my self. This is the message that won't go viral

because it requires action from you. I can't purify for you,

but I'm trying every day to come to God's presence

and purify Myself. Another word for this is holy. And

the angels cry, holy. It's not just for him. He

wants us to be holy as he is holy. The

only way you become that is that you purify. Okay. Okay.

And I have to address this because I know this

is a very firm message, but I'm telling you for

any believer that listens to this and applies it, it's

going to transform your life. The promised land is waiting

on your purity. And there are a lot of people

under the sound of my voice. I'm trying to talk tender.

I'm trying to.

Let you know that I get it.

I understand how many images are coming into your word,

how many temptations are coming into your world. This is

a crazy world that we live in today. But the

standard has not changed. I don't care what they can

air on TV now. You can choose to watch it

or turn it off. It doesn't matter what platform. I

can't believe they're showing it on that platform. I can't

believe they showed this on Instagram. You are watching it.

Because nobody else is in charge of the parameters of

your purity. Do what you got to do to live pure.

Because the promised land is waiting just for you. And

I'm going to say it. There are people right now

who have decided to live in sin that are listening

to me. And I didn't say people who have sinned

because the Bible says all of us have sinned and

fallen short of the glory of God. But there are

some people that are willingly saying, you know what? This

ain't that bad. And you know what? I'm going to

just keep doing this.

And watch this. And me and God have an understanding.

Show me in the Bible. Show me in the word

where y'all understanding is. Because he's real clear and wants

us to understand.

And the reason I'm saying.

It like this is because I need you to hear

me say this very clearly. You cannot claim the blessing

of God and live life on your terms. Pastor Mike,

why are you coming like this on week three? Because

I want you to actually live in the promised land.

But there is a prerequisite. Purify yourself. Pastor Mike, how

do I purify myself? Four things. Worship the word. Washing

by confession.

And wrestling.

Wrestling with yourself. Purify yourself. In my life, I've done

a lot of things that I am not proud of.

And every time that I sin, it's like taking a

beautiful white rag that represents my life and putting just

a little stain on it. This is the time that

I had sex outside of marriage. But I mean, most

of the towel is still clean. I could do a

lot still with the rest of this towel. But then

there was that one time that I lied for no reason.

They asked where I was at and I lied. And

I said I was at my mama's house and I

wasn't even nowhere bad. I was just, I was eating,

but I lied.

Why did I lie?

Why did I not tell the truth? I guess God

will understand. Hold on. The standard is still the same.

There's no such thing as a little white lie. And

then I watched some things I wasn't supposed to. I'm

jealous of family members. I'm coveting what other people get

and where they go on vacation. Oh, y'all didn't know

that was a sin? On Instagram, coveting. I wish that

was my wife. I wish my wife was more like her.

This is what happens. Sin, sin, sin. And guess what?

Nobody sees when it happens. But they see the results

of it. And this is what we try to clean

our kids with. When we talk about changing our bloodline,

what's on us gets on them. And this is why

you are the only one that can come to the

presence of God and say, Father, today, through the power

of Jesus and what he did on the cross, I

need you to wash me. I need you to change

me from the inside out. Here I am today again.

I'm waking up to pray because I need you to

do a work that I can't do on myself. Holy Spirit,

in this worship moment with this song, I'm going to

give you the praise that I have. I'm going to

give you the worship that I have. I am not

perfect right now, God, but today I need you to

wash me from the inside out. Here I am again, God.

This is me. This is my fault. This is my sin.

This is my transgression. This is my pain. And what

God does.

Through what Jesus did, I need you to see it.

Is he allows us to be purified. Now when I

go to touch my coworker, now when I go to

witness to my neighbor, I'm not claiming to be perfect,

I'm just claiming to be clean. Oh God. I'm not

saying there wasn't something there yesterday, but I got in

the presence of God, and I got clean. Because guess what?

Tomorrow I might sin.

Oh, no, the church is thinking, no, once you clean,

you clean, you alive.

Because I approached my wife wrong yesterday. I looked too

long at that thing on HBO. I promised I was

watching Hard Knocks. God, I'm so sorry that I sent

that text message tempting somebody. I didn't mean to be

a thirst trap to them. I'm just lonely. God, I've

been so mean to my baby's father And I've been

planting seeds of deceit just because my heart is hurt.

But here I am to worship. Here I am to

bow down.

And yes, here I am to say.

That you're my God. You're altogether worthy.

That's why I keep coming back to his presence. Search me,

oh Lord. Purify me, God. Cleanse me from the inside out.

Nobody else can do it but you. Standing all over

this building.

One thing I want you to see about our sin,

it never changed God. Did you see it?

All my sin, when it went in, it never made

what was holy defiled. Because there's some power in this

that's not in regular water. If I put this in

some regular water, it would turn the whole thing the

color of my sin. But literally, I can dump it

in here. And where sin abounds, my God, today, the

grace of God is eating up all of my sin,

my God, today. It doesn't even look like I feel

the presence of God. It doesn't even look like. This

is why the presence of God is so important. Church,

it's time to purify. Psalms 24.4 says, Only those whose

hands and hearts are cleaned and purified, who do not

worship idols, who don't tell lies, they will receive the

blessing of the Lord. The promised land is waiting on

your purity. Today, if you're in this place, I sense

the presence of God so strong. If you're in this

place or you're watching online, and you know there's an

area of your life that you are saying, God, I'm

surrendering this and I need your presence to purify. I'm

about to clean this up, but I can't do it

without your presence. I can't. If that's you, I want

you to lift both hands all over this building. If

you're at home, I want you to lift your hand.

Nobody got to know. You don't got to confess right now.

But today you're saying there's an area in my life

that needs purity. Today I'm about to pray for you.

But after I pray for you, listen to me. You

got to make a list and purify yourself. Father, you

see the hands and more than the hands, you see

the hearts. My God, today. And God, I am praying

over every person who has been carrying the heavy load of.

All of the sin, the temptation, the.

Hurts, the wounds. Today, God, we know there are great

wonders in this shift that you're doing on the inside

of us. But today, God, we are focused on your

presence because in your presence, we can be purified. I

hear the Holy Spirit saying, worship is the way. Father,

today we come not just singing a song, we come

giving you our lives. Worship is an act of surrender

of our lives. So today, Father God, whatever you're telling

us to do, if you're telling us to burn that paraphernalia,

if you're telling us to give up those addictions, if

you're telling us, Father God, to take down a poster,

whatever we gotta do to purify, if you're asking us

to delete the app, if you're telling us, Father God,

that we gotta unsubscribe to that channel, if you're telling

us we can no longer go to that gym or

that sports arena, whatever we must do to purify, today, God,

we are saying yes. We will not miss your great wonders.

Because we would not purify. Today, God, I'm asking you

to start the work in me.

Creating me a clean heart.

And renewing me a right spirit so that I may

not sin against you. Creating me a clean heart and

renewing me a right spirit so that I will not

sin against you. In my marriage, creating me a clean heart, God.

And renewing me a right spirit in my parenting, creating

me a clean heart. I will not repeat the cycles.

Creating me a clean heart and renewing me the right

Father God.

In my relationship, when it comes to sex, God, creating

friends and start serving.

Become a part of what God is doing.

You may meet somebody that transforms your life.

Because listen to this. When the enemy wants.

To destroy your life, he sends people. But when God

wants to transform your life, he also sends people. So

maybe you need some new people. Hear me say this.

I am burdened right now because I feel that God

is beginning to purify. You're getting illuminations beginning to happen.

I'm about to open this altar.

And if you know that there's something that you need

to lay down at this altar, and listen, I want

to be very practical. Do not make this just a

spiritual moment. If there are things that you need to

dispose of, delete, give away, break, Give to somebody.

It's time to purify.

Yourself. This is God's instruction to you. The breakthrough is

waiting on your obedience.

I want you to do that.

Thank you for what you're doing. Come on, from all

over this place, I feel the burden right now. Come on,

sing that. Lift that up. I love you so much.
