#685: Not of This World

Genesis chapter 3.

Don't expect the sermon yet because this is going to take a little bit of time.

And I realize our attention span's ten minutes.

Well, we're going to have to expand our attention span a little bit today.

All right?

Let me go to prayer.

Father, we thank you for the word of God that we have tonight that's able to feed our souls and save our souls, deliver us, and lead us by the Holy Spirit to the scripture, and we know your will will be done with every person today.

In Jesus' name.

And the church said, Amen.

In Genesis chapter 3 and verse 17, now today, unto Adam, he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife.

Now I could stop there, but we're nice today.

And hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it.

Cursed is the ground for your sake, and sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of your life.

I wished it wasn't so, but it still is so.

Thorns and thistles shall it bring forth unto thee, and thou shalt eat the herb of the field.

In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return to the ground, for out of it, for out of it was thou taken.

For dust you are, and dust ye shall return.

We thank God for the scripture today.

So when Adam sinned against God, chose his wife over God, God had to bring a curse.

But you got to understand also that Adam's body was made from the ground.

So, in a very real sense, the curse was carried over to the human race through Adam.

You understand that right?

The problem is today, many people think that the Jewish race could bring the Savior into the world.

And God didn't use the Jews, they're God's original chosen people.

But to repeat, flesh and blood could not produce the Savior.

In 1 Corinthians 15, 53.

So all of us here today we're in the flesh and body.

Aren't you?

But the real you is spirit.

Your spirit.

Now your spirit looks just like you, minus the flesh.

Amen.

And so all of us have some aches and pains.

We go to the chiropractor sometime and we go to the doctor, and blood pressure, this and that, blood sugar, uh, joints, this and that, earache, get our teeth filled, etc., etc., eyeglasses.

It's because this flesh is still under some type of a curse.

Now we'll be redeemed from all of it when Jesus comes back to take us home to glory.

But until then, this is the way that it is.

We have to deal with it from time to time, don't we?

Paul knew this.

This corruptible must put on incorruption.

In other words, what he's saying, this physical body that's under some type of a curse must put on an incorruptible body.

So at this time, we're still living in a corruptible body.

Now we're redeemed by the blood of the Lamb if you're a Christian, but then we haven't received a package deal yet, not all of us.

The final act of salvation is when we trade a corruptible body to an incorruptible body.

This mortal body must put on immortality.

That is salvation.

That is the final act of salvation.

And Jesus has bought and paid for all of it, for us that will believe.

Glory to God.

No more aches and pains.

Never have to go back to Dennis to see Dr.

Yankum again.

And then we look at Romans 7 and verse 24 today.

Paul writing.

Oh wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

Do you see what the apostle Paul is saying here?

He was in a mortal body that experienced pain, grief, suffering, heartaches.

But still, he was saved.

One of the greatest apostles to ever live, but he said, Oh, wretched man, who shall deliver me from this?

And the older you get, hello?

Testing.

Testing.

The older we get, the more I understand we have these issues to deal with.

Don't we?

I wish to have glory all the way, but the fact is, Jesus never said he'd be a rose garden.

He said, In the world you're going to have tribulation.

Be a good cheer.

I've overcame the world.

But you see, we do have certain privileges of being a believer in Christ.

Sometimes we get healed, delivered, filled with the Spirit.

And God's given me a little nugget about being filled with the Spirit for all you believers.

It's not just a little old dabadoo you here in your heart, it's your entire being that's filled with the Holy Ghost.

And I might be on that tonight at the living word.

We'll see.

It's up for grabs.

Now, Christ's flesh, ever say Christ.

That's the title for the Messiah.

That means the anointed one.

There's only one in the human race there's ever been.

And he wasn't from the human race.

Uh-oh.

His flesh had no part with Mary's flesh.

I'm talking the Virgin Mary.

Now I'll admit that she was chosen of God.

I'll admit that.

Without her, the Savior couldn't have legally come into this world.

Because it was prophesied that he would come through the Virgin Mary from Isaiah and different different prophets.

You understand that, right?

But then there again, Mary could not produce the Savior.

Only God could.

Well, so God's sacrifice then for us could not have any blemish or of any kind whatsoever in 1 Peter 1 or verse 18 to 19.

What I'm saying now, if you can pick up on this, is that every human being that's ever been born, male, female, Jew, Gentile, bond-free, that ever comes to the womb of a woman is tainted by original sin that came from Adam, and that original sin came from Satan.

It was infused into Adam when he sinned and broke God's commandment, and he died spiritually right then.

It took him 900 some years to learn what death was.

And he died physically.

Well, everyone that's more of a woman has this problem of sin being handed down from generation to generation.

But Christ was exempt from that.

Because the human race could not produce a sinless Savior.

I want you to get that.

Only God did.

So God so loved the world as I was telling Blake?

I got it.

That God was the one that gave the sacrifice for us because he loved us enough to spare us hell.

And give us eternal life through the finished work of Calvary's cross that Jesus alone did.

Because he was God and man in one person.

There's only been one, and always will be just one.

But when Jesus came from heaven, he had to live his life perfectly, keeping all the law, and never sin one single time.

Which he did.

He accomplished that.

Because he was resurrected.

God could not resurrect someone that had sinned even one time.

The point is, he was sinless, went to the cross to pay for our sins so that we could be pardoned and forgiven and receive his blessing because we accepted the Son.

When we accept the Son, the Father God accepts us.

That's the deal.

But someone must preach the truth.

For as much as you know you were not redeemed from corruptible things of silver and gold, from your vain conversation, received from traditions of your father, but with the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and without spot.

So he was totally sinless all the way through his life for us.

God could accept no other offering than the best that heaven afforded.

And that was the Lord Jesus God's Son alone.

His blood did not come from Mary's DNA.

Nor did his flesh come from Mary.

Now Jesus didn't have an earthly father like we think about.

It was an immaculate inception into the womb of the Virgin Mary.

She shall be found with child.

You see.

And it had to be that way for Christ to be, for God to become flesh and be a legal human being on this earth to pay the price for our eternal life.

Now say amen to that, somebody.

Now, Mary even said something in Luke chapter 1 and verse 46.

Now, are you staying with me?

This is important.

Because there's churches that say that by a miracle Mary became sinless, and therefore, because Mary was sinless, then Jesus was.

No, Mary was not sinless.

That's false doctrine, and that's Catholic Church.

You shouldn't call names.

Well, I did.

There was a lady in, I'm getting ready to go back to Kenya next month.

There was a lady that was a Catholic there at uh Kesuma Kenya.

And I didn't know it was John's mother-in-law.

He didn't tell me that rascal.

And she comes to me and she goes, They call me a doc over there or apostle, whatever.

I'm just mean.

And she says, I got these idols.

Would you burn them for me?

I want to be a Christian.

And there were trinkets and gadgets and crosses and crucifixes.

Christ is not on the cross anymore.

He said, Will you burn them for me?

And it was nighttime, and I go to John, the bishop there, and I said, Hey, John, this woman wants to be a Christian, but she can't give her heart to the Lord until she gets rid of these idols.

And she wants me to burn them.

And he said, Oh, just go throw them in the outhouse.

Now here I am in the middle of the night with flip-flops on.

I'm going out there stumbling around in the middle of the night to this, what I call an outhouse.

Now that it was a new outhouse, but it was still an outhouse.

They made it especially for Whitey, okay?

And I'm nearby myself, and I got the flashlight in my mouth, you know, and there's this hole in the floor.

That's it.

Just a hole in the floor.

Guess what it's for?

Well, I won't go into detail.

A picture's worth a thousand words.

And I said, Lord, in Jesus' name, I'm gonna take these idols and I'm gonna throw them in that hole.

And I threw them in there.

Now go back and tell her.

She becomes a Christian, she gives her heart to the Lord, she teaches in Bible school for a few years, and then she leaves and goes to heaven.

The good news is those trinkets and gadgets are still there today.

They're still there.

I think it's funny.

This is the way it is overseas.

Now Mary said in verse 46, and Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord.

Uh-huh.

Then the next verse, the scripture says, And my spirit has rejoiced in God, my Savior.

Glory to God.

Furthermore, amen.

Furthermore, Jesus never referred to Mary as his mother.

He said, woman.

Now he told John, John, this is your mother.

Ding ding.

Because God has no mother.

Is this too heavy for some of you Christians?

Well, Jesus was not of this world.

I want you to get that down.

And when I get over this, I can go to something else.

Which we accomplished that a week or two ago.

We got over the hump.

And now we're here.

And I want to get over this one.

And get over into the promised land for a while.

The scripture says, and Jesus said himself that he was not of this world.

So where'd he come from?

Well, he came from heaven.

You are from beneath, I am from above.

You are of this world.

I am not of this world.

I am not of this world.

Where'd he come from?

Heaven.

Spirit, soul, and body came from heaven.

It was supernaturally infused into the womb of the Virgin Mary.

And after nine months, he was born of the Virgin Mary, the Son of God and the Son of Man.

The shepherds came to worship.

Several years later, the Magi, the ones that rode the camels, you know, what do they call them?

I forget, another kings.

They came to worship the Savior, the young child.

They knew who he was.

A lot of people knew who he was.

Amen.

And we didn't understand who he was, who he is, and who he always will be.

If I can get that across, we're gonna do good in the kingdom of God.

We're gonna do real good.

Secondly, then, King David, Jesus was not King David's literal son.

For example, in Matthew 22 and verse 41, if I got the right verse today.

While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked him, What think ye of Christ?

Whose son is he?

They said, The son of David.

Now, people had to admit he was from David to recognize his messianic authority.

But the fact is he was not David's literal son.

The next verse then in verse 43.

How then does David in spirit call him Lord?

Verse 44, the Lord said to my Lord, here it is, the Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand until I'm like your enemy's your footstool.

If David called him Lord, how is he his son?

The fact is, Christ existed way before King David was ever born.

The truth is, is that the living word, who we know as Jesus the Christ, existed from eternity past as God.

Actually, he created all things as he spoke the word.

The miracle is the second person left heaven to become a man 2,000 years ago, known as the Lord Jesus.

Emmanuel, God with us.

Are you following me then?

Now drop down to Mark 1236, I believe it is.

You know, these scriptures get so it's like eating a piece of meat.

The more you chomp on it, the bigger it gets.

And then you just have to walk off after a while.

David himself said, by the Holy Ghost.

Say Holy Ghost.

All right.

The Lord said to my Lord, send him a right hand to make the enemies of footstool.

In other words, if I could explain this in our terms.

The Lord Father said to the Lord Son.

And then Luke 249, I know I'm skipping around here, but it's needful today.

Jesus said this, and he said to them, How is it you sought me?

Wish you not, I must be about my father's business.

Here he was 12 years old teaching the the professors.

And he said, I gotta be about my father's business.

So at the young age of 12, he knew exactly who his father was, the father God himself.

And so today we understand the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

These three are one.

But they operate not separately, but they can be independent at the same time and still operate as one.

Then in John 8.42, praise the Lord.

St.

John 8.42.

And that's that's the book that you need to read first.

You don't have a Bible, we'll get you a Bible, all right?

I know you don't get paid much money down there at the chiropractor place, so we'll help you, all right?

I mean it's it cracks me up to go down there, you know.

I can't take anymore.

John 8 42.

If God were your father, you would love me.

How many love the Lord Jesus?

For I proceed forth and came from God.

Here Jesus said, He came from God, Theos.

Didn't come from the human race.

Neither came of myself, but he sent me.

So God the Father sent the Son from heaven to the earth to finish the plan of salvation that he had in his mind before he ever created Adam or anything or anyone.

We were in his mind.

That's the reason God has a plan for every one of you.

You need to come into it big time.

Because God has prepared a mansion in heaven for you.

He knew you before he ever said, Let me.

He had you and me in mind for all eternity.

That's how big God is, and bigger than that.

Praise God.

Jesus.

Was not half man and half God.

He was all man and all God in one person.

Amen.

And of course, I've already said that Jesus didn't refer to Mary as his mother.

And when you read in the Bible, Jesus is brother, they were half-brothers, in a sense.

Alright?

So, but on the other hand, now, before Jesus became flesh, he had some type of flesh, like a body.

Now there you go.

Well, no, there the scripture goes.

You think God can do that?

You think God can show up as a man with some type of flesh and still become a human being later on?

With literal flesh like us?

He had some type of fleshly body.

He could appear that way if he chose to do so.

Before he came to the Virgin Mary.

Well, there's a lot of scripture.

I don't have time.

Time's running out here, but Genesis 32 and verse 24, please, today.

The great Sikh book.

This is the account of Jacob.

Jacob was left alone in their wrestling with a man.

Everybody's saying man.

With him until the breaking of the day.

Now, this man could have whipped Jacob and Ananusek with one little finger.

But he didn't.

You know why?

Because this man wanted to bless Jacob.

So it's all stacked in our favor.

Praise God.

And when he saw he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint as he wrestled with him.

So Jacob walked with a limp to this wrestling match.

And he said, Let me go for the day breaks.

And here we got this man.

Let me go.

And he said, I will not let you go until you bless me.

So Jacob, this is the way we got to get in prayer.

Never give up.

I don't care what it looks like, how bad it is, what Satan says.

No, forget it.

Never give up.

Because God wants us to win, but he will test our faith.

All faith will be tested, and great faith will be greatly tested.

Well.

So the conversation goes on during the rest of the match 27.

He said to him, What's your name?

And he said, Jacob.

Now he knew his name.

Verse 28, then he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel.

For as a prince thou hast power with God and with men and has prevailed.

I submit to our pure hearts tonight and our minds tonight that the man that rises with Jacob was indeed the pre-incarnate of Christ in flesh.

Amen.

Known as the angel of Jehovah in the Old Testament.

Now the reason he was angel of Jehovah is because after the virgin birth, the angel of Jehovah never shows up again in the scripture.

Therefore, who we know as Jesus was the angel of Jehovah, and he was the man that wrestled with Jacob.

He was the one that came to Abraham and said, Abraham, shall I tell you what I'm going to do?

The Lord came, the Lord came and two angels of Abraham.

Read that.

The Lord came.

The Lord said, Abraham, shall I tell you what I'm going to do?

Abraham began to Jew with the Lord.

Shall you destroy the world, the city of Sodom and Gomorrah for 50 righteous?

Blah, blah, blah.

And he goes on down.

But then when the angels went into Sodom and Gomorrah to destroy the place, basically, the Lord did not go in.

That Lord was Jesus.

See, the Lord is bigger than whatever Pew in your minds could comprehend.

I tell you, he's from everlasting to everlasting.

He is God.

And you must accept Him as such.

Not only as your Savior, but as your Lord.

Now, the Scripture told us in Genesis 3.15 that the Savior would come through the seed of a woman.

And we know that the woman does not have a seed.

And so it's a reference to God's seed and man's seed.

Satan's seed against God's seed.

That's the real problem today.

Everybody's born of Adam is not a child of God.

Not until they accept Christ and become sons and daughters of God through the blood of the Lamb and born of the Spirit of God.

Otherwise, everyone in the human race is a son and daughter of Adam, and Satan is your God.

He's the God of this present world.

But fear not, child of God.

God's given us a victory over all of it.

If you're in Christ.

Well, how do I get in Christ?

You must surrender your life and give your life to Him in faith.

There is no other way.

And then continue in the grace of God and follow Christ.

He'll tell you what to do.

So what I'm saying as you go to Hebrews chapter 7, as we're about to finish our little part here today, is that the Savior did not come from the woman, the Savior came through the woman.

Hebrews 7 · chapter mention

Please get that.

Because all we humans do is mess things up.

Abraham tried to bring it and got Hagar and U-Ah.

Ishmael was produced, and hence we have the problem in Israel today.

Because they thought, maybe I'm bringing in the Savior.

And they felt like they were cursed if it did not have a son.

The mistake is the woman could not produce the Savior.

I said only God can produce the Savior.

Which He did.

I've been a few snakes, but not too bad.

Not too bad.

Maybe I can go on.

Next week.

They wouldn't understand what I'm saying.

No.

I don't think.

But anyway.

Hebrews 7.26 gives us a hint here tonight, or this morning rather.

I did get some sleep last night.

How about that?

Dog only woke me up twice.

For such a high priest became us.

A high priest is Jesus.

He represents us before God.

Folks, we got it made.

If you're in Christ's man, you got it made.

You can't lose.

Jesus never loses a battle.

Who is holy, harmless, undefiled.

Listen, separate from sinners.

And made higher than the heavens.

Even though he came to this world and walked with the human race in the most sinful time known to man, he was separate from sinners.

You know why?

He was not a sinner.

Everyone in the human race is classified sinners.

I know some of you think you're pretty good, but actually, God says we've all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

As it's written, there's none righteous, no not one.

The only way to be deemed as righteous is to receive the righteous woman through the cross of Calvary.

You're not righteous.

Now don't misunderstand me.

None of us are perfect.

We want to do better.

God will help us be more godly and holy than we are.

God's working on us all.

I know more about you, and sometimes I want to know.

So you think I'm out there with spyglasses, just checking out so I can get something to preach on.

No, I can feel it.

That's the pastor.

If I can feel it, God knows about it.

All right.

And the Lord will help us.

But you've got to accept it the way that it is.

Christ was separate from sinners.

Closing this morning, then Hebrews 1 and verse 8 and 10, please.

People in faith are people that want to come to faith.

How does faith come?

You believe what's preached and what's in the Bible.

About the old, old story.

You believe it.

Because it's true.

There's nothing else in this world that's worth believing in.

There's no reason to live or anything outside of Christ.

There's no purpose and meaning for life except Him.

He's the reason.

And when you accept Him, you come into His kingdom.

The kingdom of God is present in this church today.

Invisible, but one day it'll be literal on this earth.

Soon.

People of faith must accept Jesus for who he is.

God in the flesh.

But the Son, he said, thy throne, O God.

Let me stop now.

The Father's talking.

But to the Son, the Father said, Your throne, O God, is forever and ever.

Accepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom.

Verse 9, then, as thou hast loved righteousness and hated iniquity, therefore God, even thy God, has anointed thee above the with oil of gladness above thy fellows.

The next verse.

Now we got the Father God saying that Jesus is Lord.

Are you getting that?

You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.

Not only is it Savior and Lord, but he's going to be the judge also.

Now, if we're on his side, we got it made.

But if we're not, like I say, it's going to be crispy critter.

You're joking around.

I have a good time serving Christ, man.

There's no other.

You know, I don't even have a good time bowling anymore.

Always lose.

But I have a good time with the Lord.

God is telling me about this and tonight, all week long, and this is right on the money, people.

I want to encourage you.

You know where God wants you to be in church, don't you?

It's very important.

Because we need to come together in one accord.

I know we got people that's babes and people that's been in serving God for many years, but the word of God has a way of feeding everybody at the same time.

If your heart is open, don't close your heart off to the Savior.

Don't do it.

Why would you do it?

Sin's a reason.

We can't defeat sin without the Savior.

I know that's why He came to do it for us.

You gotta surrender your life to Him and mean it.

In faith, believing, and prayer And then get joined to a good New Testament church.

I know it's hard to find, but you didn't find one.

I wish anyone there was one.

Where are you setting today?

Church alive's worth the drive.

Heaven's gonna be a wonderful, lively.

Hey, some of you almost act like you're saved and going to heaven today.

Wow, man, it's great for the preacher.

Some of you, well, I don't know about that Holy Ghost stuff.

Well, you know, you need to find out.

Because the Holy Spirit is the person, the Spirit of Christ, one and the same.

So if you receive the Holy Spirit, you receive Jesus.

You receive the Father.

How do I receive salvation?

The blood of Christ is applied to your life by faith.

He shed his blood for us so that we could be forgiven.

Once we're forgiven, now the Holy Spirit can come in and live in you, and you will never be the same.

It's a growing thing, but you gotta start.

How many started?

How many needs to start?

Let's stand up today.

Thank you for listening.

Praise the Lord.

We shared our heart with you today.

If you haven't started this way, if you haven't started your walk in Christ, today is your day.

You see, well, preach, what do I need to do?

Believe.

Believe.

There's nothing that we can do to help God.

He's already done it all.

So we simply receive the gift of God, which is salvation and eternal life.

And he stands the day knocking on the hearts of people's, the doors of people's hearts.

Would you let me in?

Don't turn me away.

Today's the day of salvation, and now is accepted time.

How much faith does it take?

Only a mustard seed.

Enough faith to walk down this old-fashioned although and say, Mirandy, I need Jesus back.

I need him.

And he needs you.

There's only one you.

I'm not perfect.

I know it.

You come as you are.

Just like you are.

But he won't leave it that way.

Father, I've delivered my soul today, and now it's up to those that are listening to me.

Holy Spirit, draw them today.

Draw them to the cross of Calvary where they can receive forgiveness and eternal life.

Home in heaven.

God so many.

The greatest thing is to have your name written in the book of life.

And today, if there are those who need to surrender today or come back, read that, okay?

Let me write the name in the book today.
