  1. Welcome to the Life Family Church Sermon Podcast.

  3. Now let's get right to the message.

  4. Oh Lord, we love you, we love you, we love you.

  5. Oh Lord, we are setting the temperature of our faith.

  6. We're adjusting our hope to great things.

  7. We expect great things.

  8. We expect miracles.

  9. We expect signs and wonders.

  10. We expect your goodness and your mercy to just follow us all the days of our lives.

  11. Lord, I thank you that we have a hope that's great.

  12. And our hope has been turned up today.

  13. And we're ready to receive what you would have us to receive.

  14. We're ready to take hold of what you've given us.

  15. And Lord, by faith, we're taking it right now.

  16. We receive it.

  17. In Jesus' mighty name.

  18. Hallelujah.

  19. Hallelujah.

  20. Hallelujah.

  21. Thank you, Jesus.

  22. If you would just turn to the person beside you and say it's good to be in the house of the Lord, and I'm excited to be here.

  23. Amen.

  24. Hallelujah.

  25. Thank you, Jesus.

  26. I was thinking, man, that there's a thermostat back there on that wall.

  27. Please don't touch that thermostat.

  28. But there's a thermostat on that wall, and we get to decide what temperature we want it to be.

  29. That's our choice.

  30. We get the opportunity to decide that.

  31. And thank God we decide right every service and get it to that perfect temperature.

  32. We don't have a bunch of those funeral home fans floating around in here.

  33. So I know we're doing something right.

  34. Amen.

  35. But thank God the temperature is getting cooler.

  36. Except for a couple days next week, it looks like things are going to change.

  37. Fall is in the air.

  38. Amen.

  39. Football season is here.

  40. I see jerseys starting to float around, division starting to take place in the church.

  41. I can sense it, guys.

  42. Let's come on, let's let's work together here.

  43. But God is doing such great things among us.

  44. We are so thrilled that you're here today.

  45. I'm thrilled to have my mother and father-in-law and sister-in-law here.

  46. It's good to have you guys.

  47. Caitlin.

  48. Caitlin, would you please stand and greet everybody?

  49. No, I wouldn't do that to her.

  50. And Levi here beside Parker.

  51. He can outfish everyone in this building.

  52. He's a fisherman.

  53. Let me tell you something.

  54. God is doing such wonderful things on this earth.

  55. And if we listened to the news, we would think this world is just going downhill.

  56. But God is not.

  57. He has not come off his throne.

  58. He is still victorious over everything.

  59. And every time we wake up, hell gets nervous.

  60. Because the very same power that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you and me.

  61. And when we wake up, we have that same kind of power.

  62. It's called resurrection power.

  63. Resurrection power is the kind of power that makes you come alive.

  64. Do I have some living people in here?

  65. Lively hope.

  66. People that are on fire for God, love Jesus, and are ready to go up there and stir hell.

  67. Glory to God.

  68. Well, today we're going to talk just a little bit about you cannot do a don't.

  69. Everybody say that.

  70. You cannot do a don't.

  71. And then the subtopic is faith.

  72. Everybody say faith.

  73. Faith speaks.

  74. Yeah, you can say that.

  75. Should I say that?

  76. You can say that.

  77. Faith speaks.

  78. One of the things we have to learn about faith is that faith doesn't just tell us what not to do.

  79. Our time of coming to church is not to hear a message on always what you're not supposed to do as a Christian.

  80. Because you cannot do a don't.

  81. Can you do something that you can't do?

  82. You can't do a don't.

  83. Faith always gives you something to do.

  84. Faith teaches us, I want you to get a hold of this today.

  85. Faith teaches us what to say in every season of our life.

  86. Every season.

  87. Now I have a quick story.

  88. I I as my kids were growing up, we would watch, you know, cartoons just like most every family would.

  89. But unfortunately, as you're watching TV programs and shows, you you could be watching the most godly program there is on television, and the commercials could be rated R.

  90. That's one thing I don't get about television and how they uh advertise is you can have you might not be able to show the movie that's rated R on television, but you can show the trailer that's rated R.

  91. Well, we were watching a cartoon, probably Nemo or some funny cartoon, and I remember a commercial came on and you could hear the evil, the it was a horror movie that that that started to be presented, and all the kids were like, the this the music itself captivated them.

  92. Have you how many of y'all know if if you turned off the music or the the sound of a of a horror movie, it wouldn't be that bad, but it's the oo, all that kind of stuff that just spooky.

  93. Well, all that started to take place, and all the kids' eyes was like whoop right towards the TV.

  94. And like suddenly I realized, wow, they're that captivated them.

  95. So I it immediately I was like, hey, look at me.

  96. And I was like, Oh, whoa, that was pretty good.

  97. Because all of a sudden they looked at me, and I'm like, I got it.

  98. You can't tell your child, don't look at that, because what that does is that triggers something in a child that says, I'm gonna look.

  99. Don't look, and they'll be doing this right here.

  100. I mean, they'll do everything in their power to figure out what you said to not to not do.

  101. What we need to do instead is give them something to do.

  102. That's how you communicate with them.

  103. I don't know how I came up with it, but I mean, immediately I said, look at me, look at daddy's face, pay attention to your daddy.

  104. And they were just looking at me like, what?

  105. What are you gonna tell us?

  106. What are you gonna?

  107. I ain't telling you nothing.

  108. I just want you to look at me right now.

  109. There's times in your life where you don't need to do anything other than just look at Jesus.

  110. Just look at the word, stare at him, keep your eyes focused on him and not on all these other things going around.

  111. Because your enemy wants you to be focused on the things of this world, be focused on the struggle, be focused on the pain and all the things that are happening in the world, but our eyes should be fixed on Jesus.

  112. Faith begins with our eyes fixed on him.

  113. You cannot do a don't.

  114. Instead of telling people, hey, don't do this or don't do that, you need to give them something to do.

  115. The Bible is full of this.

  116. The Bible says, Let the weak say, I am strong.

  117. He didn't say, let the weak say, man, I'm tired.

  118. Boy, it's been a rough week.

  119. Because what we do is we agree with the emotions, we agree with the experience rather than believing and receiving what the Word of God declares.

  120. We have to be people of faith.

  121. The Bible says that the just shall live by faith.

  122. This is how we operate.

  123. This is how we breathe and move and have our being is by faith.

  124. We serve a faith God.

  125. And he doesn't always say, don't do this, don't do this, don't do this.

  126. He says, do this, do this, do this.

  127. And this is exactly how we're supposed to walk.

  128. We're not supposed to walk in an atmosphere that's constantly, you can't do this, you can't do that, you can't do this.

  129. I've been to those churches.

  130. I've been there where it's constantly you can't wear this, you gotta have dresses all the way down to the ground, you can't wear makeup, you can't have earrings, you can't have nose rings, dear Lord, you would be demons cast out of you.

  131. Tattoos of the river of the devil.

  132. I mean, half of us would be going to hell if we went to those churches.

  133. But thank God we don't go to a church that's full of condemnation and guilt and shame.

  134. Now, I'm not saying you just go out there and live any way you want to.

  135. I'm saying that God gives us a way to live.

  136. Not a don't do this and a don't do this.

  137. There's no list of things, just don't do this, don't eat this.

  138. This is not what we're supposed to be, this is not how we're supposed to be living.

  139. We're supposed to be living with this is what I can do.

  140. This is what I'm gonna do.

  141. So God didn't say let the weak say, I am st I am uh just having a bad week.

  142. He said we are supposed to agree with God's word in every situation.

  143. Every situation.

  144. Faith always has something to say.

  145. Faith speaks, faith is loud.

  146. This church is a faith church.

  147. We are a loud church, we're louder than that.

  148. We're a church who's on the move, doing what God said to do, not living by condemnation, guilt, and law and regulations, but we're living free.

  149. Free.

  150. Freedom came because the blood of Jesus was poured out for you.

  151. The freedom has been purchased and it is paid in full.

  152. Amen.

  153. So we can walk in freedom.

  154. Amen.

  155. Praise the Lord.

  156. So I'm trying to get to my notes, but I'm gonna need these things that I'm free from.

  157. Faith speaks boldly and with confidence.

  158. Everybody sit up in your chair a little bit.

  159. Sit up straight.

  160. Be confident.

  161. Be confident.

  162. When I walk into this place, I'm bold.

  163. I'm confident.

  164. The Bible says the righteous are as bold as a lion.

  165. Confident.

  166. Now, when you go into a situation and something's happening in your life, you don't begin to speak about the problems.

  167. You don't meditate on the problems of life.

  168. Because that what happens is that your problems become bigger and your God gets smaller.

  169. We're never to discuss the issues of life in a manner that doesn't bring glory and honor to God.

  170. Now, we are not to make the problems bigger than the word of God.

  171. And the way that we do that is with our words.

  172. Think about it, David and Goliath.

  173. David didn't stand there talking about, boy, look how big that boy is.

  174. He's huge.

  175. Look at his armor.

  176. Wow, it's made of brass.

  177. I mean, his armor is heavier than me.

  178. He didn't discuss the problem.

  179. He didn't look at it as an impossibility.

  180. He didn't go to all the soldiers and say, What do you think about this situation?

  181. What did David do?

  182. He said, Is there not a cause?

  183. Is there not a purpose?

  184. And who is this uncircumcised Philistine who defiles the army of the living God?

  185. When something comes up in your life, you speak to it and be confident and bold and say, who is this uncircumcised sickness defiling the temple of the Almighty God?

  186. Who do you think you are?

  187. Do you think you're bigger than God?

  188. No.

  189. Is there not a cause?

  190. Yes, there is.

  191. You should be walking in freedom and healing and blessing all the days of your life.

  192. That has been purchased for you.

  193. But you can't sit back and allow the evil one to whisper in your ear and to cause you to start speaking his language.

  194. His language is a language of defeat.

  195. It's a language of doubt and unbelief.

  196. He wants you to connect with him in everything in your life so that you'll see the results he sees.

  197. Losers like to hang out with losers.

  198. Don't hang out with him.

  199. David didn't spend time discussing the giant's height.

  200. He didn't talk about how strong Goliath was.

  201. He didn't talk about how impressive his armor was.

  202. David talked about the cause and what he was going to do to that giant with God.

  203. Remember, we're not, I do want to say this before we go too much further.

  204. We're not called to be confession cops.

  205. Come on, somebody.

  206. I don't know about you, but if I say something that's just a little negative, I don't want somebody with a cop car behind me pulling up and pull over, pull over.

  207. You shouldn't have said this.

  208. I don't want that.

  209. But I do want the word of God to teach me what to say.

  210. It's okay if somebody wants to encourage you.

  211. Hey, remember, say this.

  212. Let's stay connected to what God's saying.

  213. It's okay.

  214. But but your ministry is the ministry of reconciliation, not the ministry of correcting people.

  215. Amen.

  216. Okay.

  217. You know, David didn't look at the giant and say, man, this guy's huge.

  218. He called him an uncircumcised Philistine.

  219. What does that mean?

  220. That means he did not have a covenant with God.

  221. It didn't connect with God's kingdom.

  222. And if it's not a part of God's kingdom, we don't accept it.

  223. We don't just sit back and accept everything that comes along the path of life.

  224. We have to sometimes stand in our position as a child of God and declare what God says about situations and not allow the enemy to take one step further.

  225. He called him an uncircumcised Philistine because David was circumcised.

  226. He had a covenant with God.

  227. And he had a relationship with Almighty God.

  228. And he knew what was godly and what wasn't.

  229. And someone to stand up there and to defile the armies of the living God and to stand the whole army of Israel up and tell them, I'm going to kill you, and they're sitting there shaking in their boots.

  230. There is a cause in the land that David knew that someone's going to have to stand up to this jerk.

  231. And he wasn't afraid of it.

  232. You cannot be afraid of anything as a child of God.

  233. Don't allow fear to rule you.

  234. You dominate fear before it becomes too large for you to handle.

  235. You've got to be the one to take your place and your position in Christ.

  236. God has given us a great position.

  237. That position is we are seated in heavenly places far above all principalities and powers and might and dominion and every name that's named, not only in this world, but that which is to come.

  238. He's given us a name that's far above.

  239. And he said we are seated at the right hand of the Father with Christ in heavenly places.

  240. That's your position.

  241. We don't speak from a beggar's position.

  242. We speak from a king's position.

  243. We decree and declare.

  244. We don't have to get up off our throne to do it, but we can be seated in heavenly places in our position in Christ Jesus and decree and declare things by faith and know that it will come to pass.

  245. We don't have to get up and try to figure out what's going to happen.

  246. We know that when we decree things according to the blood of Jesus and the knowledge of God's word, it will come to pass.

  247. This is the boldness, this is the confidence that we have in Him.

  248. That if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

  249. He hears us and it's accomplished.

  250. But we are to never put the giant in a bigger position than we are.

  251. We're in a higher place than any enemy in this world.

  252. We are in a higher place than sickness.

  253. We're in a higher place than poverty.

  254. We're in a higher place of lack.

  255. We're in a higher place.

  256. We have a higher position.

  257. We rule and we reign in this domain.

  258. In the name of Jesus.

  259. Never make the problem bigger or even compare the problem to God.

  260. There is no comparison.

  261. When God steps on the scene, things change.

  262. And thank God, through Jesus Christ, he already stepped on the scene and he did everything he's going to do about the devil.

  263. But the devil, he's got a spirit of stupid in him.

  264. He's always forgetful.

  265. So he'll always come and he'll try to attack you every time there's a revelation on the other side.

  266. He'll come and try to distract you from getting to where God wants you, but you have to take your authority in the name of Jesus and the Word of God and the blood of Jesus and declare things over the situation.

  267. Don't allow the enemy to become bigger than your God.

  268. David said, um giant, you come one way, but you're going to go out another way.

  269. Sickness might try to come on you, but it's going to go.

  270. It does not have a right to stay there.

  271. Goliath had a sword, David had a covenant.

  272. Goliath had armor, David had a revelation.

  273. Goliath had a loud voice, but David had the word of God.

  274. And David said, This day will the Lord deliver thee into my hand, and I will smite thee and take thy head from thee, and I will give the carcass to the host of the Philistines this day and to the fowls of the air and to the wild beast of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.

  275. Let's just shorten that.

  276. I'm about to whoop you.

  277. In Jesus' name.

  278. David didn't spend his time telling everybody how big the problem was.

  279. What set David apart was that others were in fear while David had faith in God.

  280. He started talking about what God was going to do about this situation.

  281. Now let's go all the way back to Genesis.

  282. Genesis 1, verse 2 and 3.

    Genesis 1:2

  283. It says this.

  284. And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep.

  285. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters, and God said, Let there be light, and there was light.

  286. Now, I do want you to understand this.

  287. God did see darkness down here.

  288. He saw the darkness.

  289. Listen, you confessing things 10,000 times won't do anything until you get a revelation in the word from God.

  290. So we need a word from God, not just you just confessing things.

  291. Confession is great, it'll get the word of God on the inside of you.

  292. But until it gets on the inside and starts to mix with faith, there's no power.

  293. And when it is mixed with faith, oh, but there's much power released.

  294. And you won't have no doubt.

  295. Did it happen or did it not?

  296. There's no confusion then.

  297. When it comes from your spirit and it's been mixed with faith, oh, the ingredients are there to say.

  298. The outcome you desire.

  299. Amen.

  300. God saw darkness, but he didn't spend time talking about oh boy, it's dark down there.

  301. He didn't go up to Jesus and say, Jesus, I want you to come here.

  302. Just look at this.

  303. Jesus, look how dark it is down there.

  304. Man, I've never seen darkness quite like that before.

  305. He didn't say, What do you think we ought to do about it, Jesus?

  306. He wasn't vacillating.

  307. He wasn't confused.

  308. He saw an issue and he approached it with power.

  309. He saw a problem and he fixed the problem.

  310. He began to look at it.

  311. He saw the darkness, but he didn't meditate on the darkness.

  312. He declared light be.

  313. And when he said light be, guess what?

  314. Light was.

  315. That's why it's so important, guys.

  316. It's so important, teenagers, young people, old people, every people.

  317. Do not lie.

  318. More than just lying is a sin, and it is.

  319. More than just bending the truth a little to maybe protect somebody.

  320. If you lie, you're confusing yourself.

  321. You're messing with your own ability to believe what you say.

  322. You need to be people that when I speak, I'm confident in what I say.

  323. There's people that believe their own lie.

  324. They get so caught up in the web of lies that they believe what they said.

  325. And then they turn it into a political party.

  326. I'm sorry, I won't go there.

  327. They believe their own lies and they're damned in it.

  328. Liars will not receive anything from God because if you're a liar, you're not speaking with boldness and confidence.

  329. People who are full of the word of God and tell the truth and speak the truth in love, they will see the results desired.

  330. But you cannot be a liar.

  331. God didn't have a conversation talking about the problem.

  332. He spoke to the problem and told it what it's going to do.

  333. That needs to be our mentality is that nothing is impossible for God.

  334. Nothing.

  335. There is nothing impossible for God.

  336. Amen.

  337. I remember hearing a guy talking about this lady who stood up, wanted to give a testimony.

  338. It was a testimony service.

  339. You all know that when you give people in the crowd opportunities to say something, somebody's gonna say something funny.

  340. Well, this morning he's like, hey, does anyone have a testimony?

  341. A few people got up and hey, God's been so good.

  342. I've seen uh, you know, so and so healed, or this or that took place.

  343. My brother-in-law got born again, praise the Lord.

  344. Well, this lady stood up and she started talking about how bad she has it and what happened in her life this week, and how horrible the devil's been treating her, the devil's been after her all week long, and she's talking with that kind of voice, you know what I'm saying.

  345. And she's just whining and complaining about all these problems in her life.

  346. And at the end of all this communication about how bad things were, she goes and bless his holy name.

  347. And she sat down.

  348. And the preacher was like, Okay, did I just hear that?

  349. Well, the preacher kind of had to correct, because that's what preachers do when they give people up, they kind of correct how everything.

  350. What she was saying is the Lord came through for her, praise the Lord.

  351. But you know what?

  352. People get their praises mixed up.

  353. Because did you know this?

  354. Just as you can give a testimony to God and declare how good God is.

  355. You know, when you're talking about all the problems in your life and all the mistakes in your life and all the mishaps in your life and all the situations in your life, you know what that is?

  356. That's a testimony service.

  357. You're giving a testimony to the devil.

  358. Bless his holy name.

  359. We need to get radical about what we're saying and how we're presenting God.

  360. We shouldn't be talking about all our problems in life.

  361. We should be declaring how big our God is, how amazing our God is.

  362. And though things might not be easy right now, oh, God's still on the throne, and I'm seated right there with him in heavenly places.

  363. Amen.

  364. So remember this: don't ever give a testimony to the devil on how bad he is, because all that does is give him glory.

  365. I'm not going to give the devil glory today, amen.

  366. He doesn't deserve the glory.

  367. There's only one that deserves the glory and the honor, and his name is Jesus Christ.

  368. Amen.

  369. So there, praise the Lord.

  370. Remember the story of Jesus when he went to the fig tree?

  371. He was with the disciples.

  372. They were on their way to the temple.

  373. He walks up to the fig trees because there was green leaves on this fig tree, and he looks at it and he says, Oh, there's a fig tree over there.

  374. Let's go over here and grab us by deed.

  375. So he's walking towards this fig tree.

  376. And he walks up to this fig tree, and believe it or not, this fig tree says something to Jesus.

  377. It does.

  378. Y'all don't believe me, do you?

  379. This tree talked to Jesus.

  380. It was saying, psych.

  381. Yeah, you thought you were gonna get something from me, but you got nothing.

  382. This fig tree was talking to Jesus.

  383. Okay, y'all don't believe me.

  384. All right.

  385. Here's what it said.

  386. And on the this is King James Version, on the morrow or on the morning, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry.

  387. And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thereon.

  388. And when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves.

  389. For the times of figs was not yet.

  390. And Jesus answered, and Jesus answered, Come on, somebody, Jesus answered and said, Unto the fig tree.

  391. You know his disciples had to be standing there like, What is he doing?

  392. He's sitting here talking to a tree.

  393. Who are we who are we sitting here following?

  394. I mean, what would you think if I was talking to that oak tree out there or that that cornfield out there, just speaking to it, talking to it?

  395. You would think I was psycho.

  396. They were watching how faith works in real time.

  397. They were just watching Jesus, and he's talking to this fig tree.

  398. Jesus answered the fig tree and said, Unto it, no man eat fruit of thee hereafter, forever.

  399. And his disciples, they heard it.

  400. They must have heard him speak out loud.

  401. That's another thing you have to remember.

  402. Faith is not silent.

  403. Faith speaks loud and is loud enough for others to hear.

  404. Everybody needs to hear you declare, I'm healed.

  405. Everybody needs to hear you speak forth the word of God.

  406. Don't be silent.

  407. Your prayer life is not silent.

  408. And I'm not going to be mean, but I'm going to go ahead and tell this church so you all understand, I do not pray for a silent prayer request.

  409. I want to hook up with your faith.

  410. When you come up here to pray, I'm not doing all the work.

  411. You have to come up here in faith yourself.

  412. I'm ready to receive.

  413. You come up and you hook your faith up with my faith, and something will change in your life.

  414. But I can't pray for a silent prayer record, brother.

  415. Pray for a silent.

  416. No.

  417. Because I don't know what you're wanting to pray for.

  418. You could be wanting me to agree with you that this person divorces this woman and that you go out with her.

  419. I'm not going to do that.

  420. Not doing it.

  421. I don't know what to agree on, so you give me something to agree on, we'll agree.

  422. Amen.

  423. So don't ever, don't ever come up here asking for a silent prayer.

  424. We're not going to give it to you.

  425. We pray out loud here.

  426. Amen.

  427. Jesus answered the tree and he spoke to it.

  428. And then the next morning came up.

  429. Mark 11, 20, verse 21.

  430. It says, In the morning as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

  431. I want to bring out something really fast right here.

  432. It's kind of like a just an extra credit.

  433. Jesus always spoke to the root of the problem.

  434. He did not speak to the symptoms.

  435. Jesus probably wouldn't have made it as a pastor in a church today.

  436. Because he would have got all up in your pudding and he'd have told you exactly what you need to do to be free, and you'd got offended and walked out the church.

  437. Well, I can't believe he just said that.

  438. His word brings freedom.

  439. So when the truth has been revealed to you, it's your responsibility to either take it or leave it.

  440. But Jesus always gets to the root of the problem.

  441. He doesn't hang out with the fruit, he gets to the root.

  442. Jesus goes to the root of your depression.

  443. He goes to the very root of that thing you're dependent on.

  444. He'll tell you, I am your source.

  445. When you look at other things, it becomes your source of supply.

  446. You don't need anything supplying for you other than Him.

  447. He is your source of supply.

  448. When we look to everything else and anything else, you will be depressed and you will be full of fear.

  449. Because we're not designed to live by anything but faith in God.

  450. That's how we're supposed to live.

  451. So Jesus, they're walking by, and Peter looked up and he calls to remembrance and says to the master, The fig tree that you cursed, guess what?

  452. It's withered up.

  453. He was surprised.

  454. Jesus didn't say another word to it.

  455. Jesus didn't brag about how great his faith was.

  456. Jesus just spoke to it and moved on.

  457. We don't need brag ammonies.

  458. We don't need to brag how great your faith is.

  459. Look at what I did with my faith.

  460. This is not about you.

  461. This is about Jesus.

  462. When we speak to things, we move on.

  463. We're moving on to the next glory.

  464. We're moving on to the next event.

  465. We're not worried about what's taking place.

  466. It might have taken 18 hours for that thing to dry up.

  467. If you stood there waiting, staring at that fig tree, you'd have been disappointed.

  468. When's this thing going to die?

  469. Jesus spoke to it, it's not happening.

  470. I tried faith and it didn't work.

  471. When you speak things, you don't stare at it waiting for it to change.

  472. You declare it's changed in Jesus' name, move on.

  473. Move on.

  474. Go on to the next thing and start declaring other stuff.

  475. Just move on from glory to glory, strength to strength, righteousness to righteousness.

  476. Don't hang out with problems.

  477. Hang out with the answer and keep on going.

  478. Keep on walking.

  479. Glory to God.

  480. Hallelujah.

  481. I've got a couple more pages.

  482. Is that okay?

  483. He immediately talked, saying, So I want to say this: faith isn't just something you believe in your heart, faith speaks.

  484. So when it becomes so big on the inside of you, it has to say something.

  485. Abraham.

  486. Abraham was a cool dude.

  487. He was called the father of the faith.

  488. He had a good testimony.

  489. Oh, that he he was a man that loved God.

  490. He pleased God.

  491. He was an awesome man of faith.

  492. But there was something interesting about Abraham that I hadn't thought about.

  493. I knew, but I hadn't thought about.

  494. Abraham never had the opportunity of watching Praise the Lord on TBN.

  495. Abraham never watched the Voice of Victory broadcast by Kenneth Copeland.

  496. He never got to the faith library at Rhema and looked through all their books.

  497. He never heard a message from Smith Wigglesworth or Dad Hagen.

  498. He never heard Charles Capp talk about speaking and calling those things that be not as though they were.

  499. He never heard a message about it.

  500. What did Abraham have?

  501. He had a time he spent with God.

  502. He hung out with God.

  503. He spent time in the desert with God, communicating to God.

  504. But because when you hang out with a God who's full of faith, you will begin to speak just like he does.

  505. I know this for a fact because when I had friends throughout my life, we always tend to like the same things.

  506. We gravitated towards the same stuff.

  507. We like the same sports, we like the same outfits, we like the same shoes.

  508. And before long they would say, Boy, you all look like twins.

  509. That's exactly how we're supposed to be with God.

  510. Everywhere we go, people say, Man, you just act just like God.

  511. You dress like him, you you talk like him, you walk like him, you you just you smell like him.

  512. I don't know what he smells like, but he smells good.

  513. Satan smells bad.

  514. He stinks.

  515. God smells good.

  516. Amen.

  517. You just act like God.

  518. And when you act like God, you're naturally, your default level is faith.

  519. It's faith.

  520. Because God, everything he does is by faith.

  521. He's a faith God.

  522. So when we walk with him, we walk the same way.

  523. We see the same results.

  524. Romans 4 17 says, As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations before him who he believed, even in God who quickeneth the dead and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

  525. He calleth those things that be not as though they were.

  526. Now, let me say this because I think people get this confused.

  527. Faith is not saying things and confessing things that do not exist.

  528. Because if healing wasn't already provided, you couldn't confess that it belongs to you.

  529. If deliverance had not already been set forth by God or sent forth by God's word, you couldn't receive it.

  530. So you have to have something backing up your faith, and that is the word of God.

  531. So when you speak, you speak only what he says about the situation.

  532. Don't bring your interpretation into the conversation.

  533. Don't bring your experience into the conversation.

  534. Don't bring what you think the word should say about this situation.

  535. You speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

  536. Speak the word only.

  537. Don't start putting your twist on things.

  538. Allow God's word to change you.

  539. You don't change the word.

  540. All right.

  541. Romans 4.20 says this he staggered not at the promises of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God and being fully persuaded that what he had promised, he was able to perform.

  542. That is how we're supposed to be as Christians.

  543. We're supposed to be fully persuaded.

  544. Fully persuaded.

  545. Abraham, he wasn't a perfect man, though.

  546. But he was a righteous man.

  547. And I want you to remember something.

  548. If you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you're not a perfect person.

  549. There's not a perfect person that walks through these doors.

  550. But there's a lot of righteous people that walk through that door.

  551. And because you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, we deserve the right to receive what Jesus deserves the right to receive.

  552. And if he accomplished it and he was perfect, guess what?

  553. We walk in his perfectness.

  554. We walked in his, we walk in his power and his ability and his strength.

  555. So it's not faith in your faith.

  556. It's not faith in your ability, it's faith in the righteousness of Jesus.

  557. Does Jesus deserve to receive the reward of his suffering?

  558. He does.

  559. So we should speak boldly and with confidence, knowing that when Jesus spoke, things happened, things changed, and life got better.

  560. This is how we're supposed to be.

  561. Abraham was a faith man because he hung out with one who was.

  562. And that leaves me to say this.

  563. We should always remember to hang out with people who are like-minded.

  564. You cannot be unequally yoked when it comes to faith.

  565. You cannot be hanging out with people that speak doubt and unbelief and don't believe the word of God and say things that are negative all the time.

  566. You can't hang out with those kind of people and expect to see your life get better.

  567. We have to change our company.

  568. We have a good company here.

  569. We have a good group of people that love each other here, encourage each other here.

  570. This is your company.

  571. This is your people.

  572. Because you walk in here, we're going to speak words of faith over you.

  573. We're going to take you by the hand and we're going to walk you through this faith journey, through the wilderness, and we're going to see you get to the promised land.

  574. Hallelujah.

  575. That's my company.

  576. I like to keep good company.

  577. There's a verse in Proverbs that says bad company corrupts morals.

  578. David wasn't a perfect man either.

  579. David was way on the other side of not perfect.

  580. He was a murderer.

  581. He was a thief, an adulteress.

  582. And he lied.

  583. This is David.

  584. This is the king.

  585. This is the king whose kingdom there shall be no end.

  586. David's kingdom will go on forever.

  587. But yet, God said over David, This is a man after my own heart.

  588. Why did he say that?

  589. It's because David spent time with God.

  590. He was quick to repent, quick to get back in line with God.

  591. He never allowed the failures of life to define him.

  592. He moved on.

  593. He moved on to the next season of his life and continued to fulfill what God had called him to do.

  594. David wasn't a perfect man, but he was a man who went after God with all his heart.

  595. And God said, I like this dude.

  596. I like him.

  597. I can deal with the problems in your life.

  598. But I cannot deal with a person who sits still and just moans and cries over things that happened 20 years ago.

  599. God wants to take you to the right now because the Bible says now faith is the substance of things.

  600. You can't live in the past and expect now faith to take place in your life.

  601. You got to get rid of it.

  602. Start moving forward and allowing God to change you right now.

  603. Amen.

  604. As a young person playing basketball all my life, I loved the sport of basketball.

  605. And I remember when I got into high school, basketball was a little tougher because they were making you run a lot more and they expected a lot more out of you.

  606. But I remember playing basketball, our coach would give us the game plan before the game.

  607. He expected us to perform the way we had practiced.

  608. But sometimes, just like any other team, you'd get caught up in the game.

  609. The other team would start playing a certain way.

  610. They'd start jacking up threes from 35 feet away.

  611. They'd start running and gunning.

  612. And your coach had given you the specific game plan, exactly what you were supposed to do in this game to defeat this team, but yet you started playing the way that team played.

  613. You start kind of gravitating and start jacking up threes just like they were.

  614. And you start playing to their standard.

  615. And my coach would always say this guys, we're supposed to play our game.

  616. Play our game.

  617. Don't play to the level of our opponent.

  618. Play our game.

  619. Stay with the plan.

  620. Stay with it.

  621. Don't give up.

  622. Don't start acting like them.

  623. Let them run and gun and do whatever they want, but we're going to stick with this strategic plan I'd given you.

  624. Let's play our game.

  625. Today I'm I'm I'm just wanting to encourage you that we're supposed to play our game as Christians.

  626. We're not supposed to play.

  627. On the devil's playing field with his rules and the way he plays.

  628. We're supposed to play the way we're supposed to play.

  629. We do what we're supposed to do.

  630. I'm not worried about what the world does.

  631. I'm not worried if the Antichrist is here yet.

  632. I don't care if there's Nephilim's walking the earth right now.

  633. I'm not worried about giants in the land.

  634. I'm not worrying about UFOs.

  635. I'm not worrying about all these things.

  636. I'm playing my game.

  637. I'm staying with the game plan.

  638. And the game plan is this we walk by faith and not by sight.

  639. That's the game plan.

  640. We're going to stick to it, coach.

  641. We're going to keep on marching forward and doing what he said in his word.

  642. We're going to play our game by our rules with our referees and our game, our playing field.

  643. We're going to do what we're called to do.

  644. I'm not called to be this guy or that guy or this person or this.

  645. I'm called to be who Christ called me to be, and I'm satisfied with that.

  646. And I'm not looking for another move of God.

  647. I am the move of God because I bring Christ with me everywhere I go.

  648. We're playing our game here at this church.

  649. We're not looking at other churches trying to be other churches.

  650. We are who we are and we're going to do what we're called to do.

  651. Amen?

  652. We're going to move and we're going to operate.

  653. We're going to have our being in Christ.

  654. Amen.

  655. Praise the Lord.

  656. Let's all stand up this morning.

  657. One of the coolest things about the story of David and Goliath is when he said, Saul, I'm not using your armor because your armor has not yet been proven.

  658. Your armor, it's bigger than I am.

  659. It's for you.

  660. And that's another example we have of faith.

  661. The faith has got to be personal.

  662. I cannot depend on your faith or your faith or anyone else's faith.

  663. I have to gain a faith walk personally between me and God.

  664. Because when you need it, it'll be available.

  665. But you can't ride on the coattails of a faith preacher or anybody else.

  666. You've got to have faith in God for yourself.

  667. And the only way that faith comes is by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

  668. That's the only way faith comes.

  669. There is no other way.

  670. Don't try to search for it in a song.

  671. Don't try to search for it in a poem.

  672. It won't come any other way than getting in the word of God because faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word.

  673. That's the game plan.

  674. That's the strategic plan.

  675. You have to learn to yield to God in every area of your life.

  676. And the first thing to do is get a hold of this word and say, you know what?

  677. Your word is like honey on my lips.

  678. It's going to change my life, and I'm going to allow it to do it.

  679. Because his word will bring freedom and it'll make you free.

  680. Hallelujah.

  681. Praise the Lord.

  682. Father, in the name of Jesus, Lord, we thank you for the word today.

  683. Lord, we thank you that we are people that are free.

  684. And that, Lord, that you have bought our freedom through the blood of Jesus.

  685. Lord, we thank you for that precious blood.

  686. And Lord, if there's anyone in here under the sound of my voice who does not know you as their Lord and Savior, if that's you and you're in here today and you don't know Jesus as your personal savior, you cannot ride on the coattails of a person that you know is a good person and get to heaven.

  687. It won't work that way.

  688. You have to become have a personal relationship with Jesus on your own.

  689. So if you're in here today and you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, I want you to make your way to the front.

  690. I want to pray with you and I want to lead you to Jesus.

  691. Come on, if that's you.

  692. If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior and you're in here today, please come to the front.

  693. I want to pray with you.

  694. Lead you to a relationship that will change your life forever.

  695. Hook you up to power that will change you forever.

  696. Hallelujah.

  697. Amen.

  698. If you're in here today, and I'm not gonna make you come up here to the front, I'm not gonna bop you on the head or do anything like that, but what I'm gonna say is this I want each and every one in here to make a con a commitment today that I'm gonna walk by faith.

  699. That I'm not gonna look to anything else other than the Word of God as my source of supply, and I'm gonna start building a personal relationship with faith.

  700. And I'm gonna know when I speak, I speak power, and I'm confident of that.

  701. If you're in here, I want you to make that commitment.

  702. Make the commitment that I'm gonna be a faith person.

  703. No, I'm not worshiping faith.

  704. I'm worshiping God, who is a God of faith.

  705. Amen.

  706. Father, in Jesus' name, Lord, I thank you that we are people of faith.

  707. That Lord, we are connected to your word.

  708. The word of God is the source of life, and that we reconnect to that source today.

  709. That we let go of the things that are hurting us, the things of the past, the things that are hurting our minds, our our emotions, all those things, we just let go of those things and we grab a hold of your word, and we're not letting go in Jesus' name.

  710. We trust you, Lord, with our life.

  711. We give you our life, and we yield to you, our members, as instruments of righteousness.

  712. In the name of Jesus.

  713. Amen, amen, amen.

  714. Amen.

  715. Well, God bless you.

  716. You all have a wonderful day.

  717. We will see you here Wednesday.

  718. Thanks for listening.

  719. We hope that this message helps you draw closer to God as you walk out your faith.

  720. We'll see you next week.
