  1. On Thursday. It was on Wednesday. Baby Perfection, turn one.

  2. Is that right? Hallelujah. On Monday, Elena, turn three. Hallelujah.

  3. Let's clap for Jesus now.

  4. I think on the 29th, Abby, it should I call Uncle,

  5. I should not call him Baby Aaron.

  6. Uncle Aaron. Uncle Aaron. It will be plus one. Don't

  7. let me tell you the age. Hallelujah. Amen.

  8. The Lord is advancing us. And we all get there

  9. in the name of Jesus Christ. It was wonderful yesterday.

  10. As Daddy was leading the MMU, I was also with

  11. the leaders. Because I didn't mention it. You might hear

  12. that Mommy was with the leaders.

  13. Praise the Lord. We give God the glory.

  14. Thus far as the church, the Lord has been leading

  15. our thoughts. Towards parenting. Godly parenting. Have we been blessed

  16. so far? Has there been any changes so far in

  17. our approaches?

  18. Amen.

  19. And today, by God's grace, the Lord will be leading

  20. us again. Taking us from that level to another level

  21. of parenting. And I pray that we will not be

  22. found wanting in Jesus' name. Let's bow our heads together

  23. as we pray. Tell God, please speak to me. I

  24. don't want to see mommy. I don't want to see

  25. auntie T.Y. Please, Lord, speak to me. Make my heart

  26. prepared to receive from you. Beyond what the preparation of

  27. the speaker. Heavenly Father, this is our prayer that you

  28. will speak to us in the language that we understand.

  29. Baba, this is our cry.

  30. Open our foresight. Where we have not been doing well,

  31. we are sorry. Where you want us to walk on,

  32. please help us in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank you,

  33. Heavenly Father. Because we are going to speak to our hearts.

  34. In Jesus' name we have prayed. Is our microphone ready?

  35. I'm going to ask you some silent questions which I

  36. want us to answer. What does it mean to know

  37. your child? That's question number one. Is it important for

  38. Christian parents to know your child? For Christian parents to

  39. know your child? That's question number two. And question number three.

  40. In what ways do you think children of the same.

  41. Family, even the one that we born the same day,

  42. even from the same womb differs? Or they are different?

  43. And this difference, why do we have that difference? Do

  44. we even have the difference in the first place? So please,

  45. who are those that will answer my question? I'm not

  46. seeing hands up. Question one. Whoa, one after the other.

  47. Thank you, my daddy.

  48. Sorry. What does it mean to know your child? And

  49. do we even know our children? Should we share the

  50. grace and go? God bless you, sir.

  51. Praise God.

  52. Hallelujah.

  53. The question is that what does it mean to know

  54. your child?

  55. Yes. What does it mean?

  56. Yes.

  57. Yes.

  58. It means that you are the one that gives birth

  59. to the child.

  60. Okay.

  61. And a child, again, through your blood, you know it

  62. will appear and you know your child. And it's good

  63. to know your child because physically and things like that,

  64. and attitudes, because you know the father knows himself. And

  65. although as he brought the child, he did not give

  66. back his character. But you have to know the character

  67. that the child is pure in your house. Anything that happens,

  68. you know that, yes, it's my son. He's the one

  69. that does such things. Although things that we are meeting

  70. with different people, definitely you must know your child in

  71. your house. And because the character that you are. And

  72. if that doesn't mean know your child, which means you

  73. are not care of your children, you are not care

  74. of your child. That is why some don't know the

  75. character of their children. Although we don't know their character

  76. at all, but you have to know a little of

  77. your character, your child. Thank you.

  78. Thank you.

  79. Baba mentioned attitude, Baba mentioned character when you know them.

  80. And because they carry.

  81. Our gene, our blood.

  82. Okay.

  83. Any addition to that? Okay. Thank you, sir.

  84. Praise the Lord.

  85. Hallelujah.

  86. We're supposed to know our child so that if it

  87. is my child that do this good thing, I'm supposed

  88. to know it is my child. If it is my

  89. child that do this bad thing, I'm supposed to know

  90. this is my child do this thing.

  91. Okay.

  92. Thank you, Baba. So why is it important to know

  93. our children as parents? Christian parents. Thank you, sir.

  94. Praise the living God.

  95. Hallelujah.

  96. At least knowing your children will help you train your

  97. children according to their capacity.

  98. Okay.

  99. What they can take and what they can do.

  100. Okay.

  101. For example, now maybe your children, some of them are

  102. slow learning, some of them are stubborn, so it will

  103. help you to at least understand them, then train them

  104. the way it's.

  105. Supposed to be. Thank you.

  106. It's giving us importance, the reason why and the benefit

  107. of knowing our children. So question three. Am I seeing

  108. another hand? Please, can we be in one house, please?

  109. One house, everybody, please. Let's be together.

  110. In what way do you think that children from the

  111. same family differs? Why is it that Thay and Konyde,

  112. they are different families? Husena and Asana, mama, I'm sorry,

  113. they differ. And what are the implications of these differences

  114. in them? Is it that we don't understand my question

  115. or I'm asking big, big questions?

  116. No.

  117. Well, children and families differ in their temperaments and their genes.

  118. Some children, they carry the character of their mom or

  119. their dad. When we are at home and we are

  120. having our family time, There are some things that Carice

  121. will do that Daddy will say is from Mommy that

  122. she got it. And there are some things we will

  123. do that Mommy will say is from Daddy that we

  124. collected it. So those types of things make children differ

  125. in families.

  126. Thank you.

  127. Nice talking about... Maybe I should bring it down. We

  128. were preparing for the communion last week Sunday. The bread

  129. had already been on the table and the wine. So

  130. Carice just woke up to me. And she said, Mommy,

  131. you won't give us the bread. You say it's the

  132. body of Jesus. The wine, you say it's the blood

  133. of Jesus. Okay, give us the bone. Since you don't

  134. want to give us the body, you don't want to

  135. give us the blood, the wine. So where is the

  136. bone of Jesus? Give us the bone of Jesus.

  137. We eat it. Inside of me, I'm like, God.

  138. But that is the picture of myself. That is how I,

  139. I was so inquisitive that one day I asked my mom,

  140. those people that died, where do they go? So when

  141. they get there, what will they be doing? My mom said,

  142. Bible didn't tell us. I said, mommy, me, I want

  143. to go and come back home. Mommy said, you won't

  144. go in Jesus' name. If you go, you can't come

  145. back now. Get out of here. At that point, she

  146. signed me out of the kitchen. I'm like, me, I

  147. want to know some things. Just tell me.

  148. There are some questions. There are some inquisitiveness that we

  149. are born of. We don't know.

  150. It is from father and mother, even to the point

  151. of our grandparents, that we take the gene. And scientifically,

  152. it is proven that you will take more of your

  153. grandparent than your parent.

  154. Praise the Lord. We are reading the book of Judges.

  155. Let's open our Bibles to the book of Judges chapter 13.

    Judges 13 chapter mention

  156. And we are going to be reading quickly. I start

  157. from verse 1. Judges chapter 13. If you are there,

    Judges 13 chapter mention

  158. shout hallelujah. How many of us are here?

  159. With our Bibles? So let's open our Bibles.

  160. And if you are with your phone, open the Bible

  161. app on your phone.

  162. Again, the children of Israel did evil in the sight

  163. of the Lord.

  164. And the Lord delivered them into the hand of the

  165. Philistine for 40 years. Now there was a certain man

  166. from Zorah Of the family of Danite.

  167. Whose name was Manoah. And his wife was barren. And

  168. had no children.

  169. Verse 3. And the angel of the Lord appeared to

  170. the woman. And said to her. Indeed now you are barren.

  171. And have born no children. But you shall conceive. And

  172. bear a son. To everyone called barren. The Lord is

  173. opening your womb. In the name of Jesus Christ.

  174. Now therefore. Please be careful.

  175. Not to drink wine or similar drink, and not to

  176. eat anything unclean. For behold, you shall conceive and bear

  177. a son, and no razor shall come upon his head.

  178. For the child shall be a Nazarite to God from

  179. the womb. And he shall begin to deliver Israel out

  180. of the hand of the Philistine. So the woman came

  181. and told her husband, saying, a man of God came

  182. to me. And his countenance was like the countenance of

  183. the angel of God.

  184. Very awesome.

  185. But I did not ask him where he was from.

  186. And he did not tell me his name. And he

  187. said to me, behold, you shall conceive and bear a child.

  188. A son.

  189. No, no drink, no wine, no similar drink, nor eat

  190. anything unclean. For the child shall be a Nazareth to

  191. God from the womb. From the day to the day

  192. of his death. Then Manoah prayed to the Lord.

  193. And said. Oh my Lord.

  194. Please let the man of God. Whom you sent. Come

  195. to us again. And teach us what we shall do.

  196. For the child.

  197. Who will.

  198. Be born. And God listened. To the voice of Manuel.

  199. And the angel of God. Came to the woman again.

  200. And she was sitting.

  201. In the field. But Manuel, her husband, was not with her.

  202. Then the woman.

  203. Ran in haste and told her husband and said to him, Look,

  204. the man who came to me the other day.

  205. Has just appeared to me now.

  206. May the Lord bless the reading of his word in

  207. Jesus' name. Knowing our children is a paramount assignment Is

  208. a pertinent assignment. For all parents. And to all potential parents.

  209. I'm talking to the youth. The earlier you know this.

  210. The better for us. That it is the mind of God.

  211. For us to know our children. To know their character.

  212. To know their personality. To know their emotional needs. To

  213. know their strength. To know their challenges.

  214. Why?

  215. Why?

  216. So that we're able to guide them well. That's number one.

  217. So that we're able to have strong connection. That's number two.

  218. Number three, so that our heart will be transformed. That, oh,

  219. my child is no longer that baby Carice. He's now

  220. Lady Carice. And very soon she'll become Woman Carice, Madam Carice.

  221. So that we're able to model the grace of God

  222. upon our lives. That's number four. To these children. They

  223. will start talking like us. They will start behaving like us.

  224. They will start talking, praying like us. It will build

  225. stronger relationship.

  226. Number five.

  227. And number six. For better support and growth. By the

  228. time you are supporting them, they will be growing faster.

  229. They will be achieving more. They will be growing further.

  230. And also, to improve their behavior and to shape their

  231. life to that which God desires. The story we read

  232. quickly talked about a man and his woman, Manoah. The

  233. angel of the Lord didn't appear to the man first.

  234. He appeared to who? Please, let's... He appeared to who? Please,

  235. tap your neighbor. It's not time to sleep. Because I'll

  236. be asking questions and we'll all answer. He appeared to

  237. the woman. Because you know women, mummies, we are good

  238. in narrating stories. We will tell everything that happened. And

  239. the woman was able to narrate that this is what

  240. I saw.

  241. And this is what I.

  242. And the man prayed. That is, it is our responsibility

  243. to pray.

  244. To know. And to guide.

  245. And I pray that the Lord will give us the

  246. grace in the name of Jesus Christ. I know that

  247. we might be thinking, is it not too late?

  248. No. Let's start from where we are. It is not.

  249. Even before the child was born, there was prophecy. There

  250. was an encounter. And that is why it leads us

  251. sometimes that the name we give to our children, it

  252. is from the encounter that we had before they were born.

  253. Not be so.

  254. That's why we name Oluwa, Muiwa, God brought this one.

  255. That's why we have Asanaru Sena because they are two.

  256. And it has meaning. And that is what portrays the

  257. way the child will be behaving sometimes. Praise the Lord.

  258. When you know the baby's character or your son or

  259. your daughter's character, it will help you a lot.

  260. My father called us one day and he said, if

  261. they called him that....

  262. Our children, I mean his children, they are fighting or

  263. something happened and one of the child involves in fighting.

  264. My father said, I know the one that will be there.

  265. If they say, this one, they were fighting and one

  266. person is narrating. He said, I know the one that

  267. will be doing the narrating. If they say, someone carry

  268. another person's this thing and he said, I know the

  269. one that might be there. So if they ask you,

  270. do you know your child, parents? that this is what

  271. your son or your daughter did, what would you say?

  272. Recognizing our children's personality, it is what we are going

  273. to be looking at. And the word SHAP, S-H-A, I

  274. mean S-H-A-P-E, SHAP, it is what we are going to

  275. be looking at. Personality reveals all our children's is and

  276. what they will become. The first letter S stands for

  277. social interaction. How does your child interact with others? Is

  278. he or she very aggressive? What is her habit, her attitude,

  279. her preference, her emotional expression? Some of them, if you

  280. just look at them, their friends will do something. They

  281. will quickly come and report. Some, they will not come

  282. and report. Some, they will stay there till they collect

  283. their doll baby before they will come and meet you.

  284. Not be so.

  285. So, their social interaction revealed. And it is now our

  286. own assignment as parents to observe. How are they interacting?

  287. How are they reacting? What is the type of this

  288. child that I'm carrying? What is the temperament of this child?

  289. Number two is the age, which is the habits. Your

  290. child's daily habits offer insight to his or her personality.

  291. Do they see you and say, mommy, good morning? You see,

  292. that thing that I've been asking you, some children can pester.

  293. It is when you are receiving call that they will

  294. remember to come and meet you. You do your eyes

  295. like this, they are still there. You do like this,

  296. they are still there. And some need something, they don't

  297. even know how to ask you. They first of all

  298. go and ask their mom before they will come and

  299. meet you.

  300. Habits.

  301. Some naturally are empathizing when they see you very down

  302. say ah daddy what is it ah sorry mommy maybe

  303. you will take this mommy maybe some they won't even

  304. look at you when you are down some when you

  305. are sick they will just check from the cutting mama

  306. is it are you fine Mama, they will check, they

  307. will check. Before you know it, they are ready outside

  308. to go and play ball. We know those that are

  309. there like that.

  310. Some, they are very organizing.

  311. And some, when you see them, oh, even if you organize,

  312. they will rearrange for you. Organize them times, they will

  313. rearrange it for you. And this is what we call temperaments.

  314. Some are very outspoken.

  315. Why some? They are very reserved. Reserved. You even push

  316. them to talk. They will not say what is in

  317. their mind.

  318. Until you call them separately, pet them before they will

  319. say it out.

  320. Number three is the attitude that Baba mentioned.

  321. How your child usually responds to challenges, responsibility, and relationship

  322. reveals their personality. I give God the glory for the

  323. school my children went to when we were in town,

  324. that first school. The proprietor of the school called me.

  325. He said, mommy, we have a little issue.

  326. I'm like, what is it?

  327. That one, my son, the second one, that he struggled

  328. with some things.

  329. I'm like, what is it?

  330. And of a truth, John is not patient like Marcus.

  331. If you say they will hit by wartime, before you

  332. come and meet you, mommy, I'm hungry. Can we do

  333. something before that thing will be okay? Maybe we should

  334. drink gari before the food will be ready. The food

  335. is almost....

  336. I'm like, so how do you know, ma?

  337. He said, when they give them puzzle to solve in school,

  338. before you know it, John will give up and leave

  339. the puzzle for others to solve and he's doing his own.

  340. Lord, what will I do? Patient.

  341. I started praying it into his life. I started talking

  342. to him. I'm like, okay, even me, I will test

  343. them myself. So two of them, I called them. I

  344. gave them sweets.

  345. I went inside.

  346. Before I return, open your mouth. Done sweets.

  347. Gone.

  348. Marcus, the sweet is still there. So by their attitude,

  349. you will know. So when you now discover by observing them,

  350. it is time for us to now work on that

  351. thing that they are lacking and work on the strength

  352. to bring the good side very well out of them.

  353. Some of them are so creative. Some of them, they

  354. know how to organize things. While some of them, creativity

  355. is out of the way. Let us read, pass, and

  356. collect our certificates.

  357. Do we understand? God is calling our attention for us.

  358. To understand our children this morning. They gave me one

  359. bag One Ghana Moscow bag, sometimes. And I packed some

  360. things inside. For me, I didn't even pay attention of

  361. what was on the back. I don't... It was John's

  362. delivery items that I kept inside.

  363. And one day, I was just looking for Marcus inside

  364. the room. Marcus, where are you? Marcus, where are you?

  365. I saw the boy inside the room, looking at the bag.

  366. I'm like, what is it? He said, mommy, And he

  367. was describing what was on the bag. Yeah. I'm like, me,

  368. I'm not as artistic as that. I don't know. But

  369. do you know that these children pick it from us?

  370. It is for us to be patient with them, to

  371. help them to develop that ability. Then number four is P,

  372. which is the preference. What do they enjoy to do?

  373. As youth, what are the things that you love doing?

  374. What are the things that you cannot but do? Some

  375. of them, they just want to lose your hair and

  376. plate it and plate it. And mothers, we are, God

  377. will help us.

  378. Leave my hair alone. Must you touch my hair?

  379. We don't even want our grandchildren to climb our shoulder

  380. to do, they want to do this thing. They are

  381. sharpening their skills by doing it over and over again.

  382. And before you know it, that person might be a stylist.

  383. That person might be some, maybe architect. That person might

  384. be someone that will be.

  385. Designing in life.

  386. But it starts from these little, little things.

  387. So what you are not forced to do, that you

  388. enjoy to do.

  389. Someday we enter bedroom, you will have to pray them

  390. out before they come out of the bedroom. Because they

  391. will finish two tracks in the bedroom. They will be

  392. singing and singing. Today is Sunday, come out. They are still,

  393. they will carry comb.

  394. Oh, as microphone. They are going places. Don't let us

  395. discourage them. Hallelujah. And the S.

  396. The E stands for expression of feelings. Expressions of feelings.

  397. Knowing how your child responds to success. failure, stress will

  398. help you to understand that temperament. If this child fail,

  399. how does he react? Some will fail, they don't even

  400. bother to tell you that they fail. And some, they

  401. will have cried their eyes out before you will come

  402. back from work.

  403. Why? Daddy, because I took third.

  404. I'm like, eh? And the other one will not, even

  405. they took tenth, they will still come back home Handle

  406. it as if nothing happened. So this one will help

  407. us to manage and build their empathy. How to handle stress.

  408. Because they are going to walk in a place that

  409. there will be stress that might come their ways. And

  410. how they can handle conflict. Not that when they beat

  411. them outside, they will come and run to come and

  412. meet you before they will express themselves.

  413. Know your childhood.

  414. Number three things that we quickly look at is understanding

  415. your child's talent. Do we know that God has embedded

  416. into our children talents, skills, abilities? May God give us

  417. understanding in Jesus' name. Sorry that I'm bringing this to

  418. us like this, that I'm using, but when I use

  419. experience and stories, I think it helps us to understand

  420. better When you look at, those pictures are not here.

  421. They are in area one, our mama's place. When you

  422. look at their baby's picture, what I observe is that

  423. Marcus's left hand at age three months is always active.

  424. The left hand, very, very active. Even in the picture,

  425. that's the hand that's, and this other hand, it just moves.

  426. The boy now grew.

  427. We took him to school.

  428. We noticed that he preferred left. To collect things, left,

  429. we have to tell him that it's right you'll be

  430. using to hit.

  431. But to write, it is left. We now took him

  432. to a school.

  433. And there is a teacher that doesn't... You must root

  434. right hand in our culture. Left hand is a taboo.

  435. And the boy, Kukuma, he stopped writing.

  436. He did not write again. I started praying. I was worried.

  437. I'm like, God, what is happening? The boy is not

  438. writing again.

  439. And in their communication book, your children is not writing.

  440. This thing is not writing.

  441. God, what is happening? I had to pray. Okay, God,

  442. help me.

  443. Before we not discover the one that the first week

  444. we got to that school, they were able.

  445. To discover their temperament and they were able to tell

  446. me that this one gives up easily. The patient level

  447. of him, it was very low.

  448. We had to take them from that school to another school.

  449. And what are we hammering on? Please don't change, don't switch.

  450. Because it has already been programmed with the brain. So

  451. that the left side works faster than the right side

  452. of his brain. So now changing it by force, what

  453. do you think will happen? There will be confusion.

  454. People will not understand what to do first. So we're

  455. looking at that.

  456. Worrying, my husband said, don't worry about that one. My

  457. father used more of it left. And my brother, the

  458. last one that God called to glory, was left-handed. Even

  459. to turn Amala as Yoruba, that's what he would use.

  460. So when you know, it will help you to sharpen

  461. them into what God wants them to do. Number one

  462. thing that we'll look at, we're going to be looking

  463. at the gifts as acronym.

  464. G-I-F-T-S.

  465. Number one is the giving ability. We are looking at

  466. understanding our child's talent. So what is your child's giving ability?

  467. We need to pay attention to what our children do

  468. easily with minimal instructions. Some of them, they hate dirty.

  469. Once they come back from school, they will drop their bag.

  470. They will first of all strip.

  471. They will arrange. They hate dirty.

  472. If you look at that person, maybe that person would

  473. be a white collar person or somebody that works in

  474. the hospital, somebody that will work where they are wearing

  475. white Because you will be able to maintain it. Some

  476. of them love to sing, as I mentioned before. Some

  477. of them, they love to solve problems. They are so logical.

  478. In their thinking.

  479. Some of them, they will gather their friends together when

  480. they are playing outside. And they will say, okay, you

  481. do like this. You do like that. Before you know it,

  482. that person, maybe he or she might be a director

  483. in future.

  484. Or Pamsek.

  485. Organizing people right from there. Some of them, they are

  486. given the ability to bring out solution from something we

  487. have already condemned. You want to throw away carton. And

  488. by the time they turn it around, you will be shocked.

  489. I have one of them in church.

  490. Where is Uchena?

  491. Very gifted when it comes to turning things all over again.

  492. Carton that you have thrown away. He will turn it

  493. and do something wonderful out of it. Number two things

  494. that we need to do is the eye, which talks

  495. about their interests. What do they love? What do they

  496. enjoy doing at their free time? Some of them is reading.

  497. Some of them is helping you to do something. Some

  498. of them is drawing. You give them book. They take

  499. one dozen to school. By the time they will bring

  500. it back, they've used back half of it for drawing.

  501. Just as you put your carton or your gongoni, they

  502. will arrange it. May God have mercy on us parents

  503. for rebooking them sometimes.

  504. Because we don't pay attention. I'm also guilty of it.

  505. Then Marcus will arrange your plate, arrange tin, and every pencil,

  506. they are drumstick. Every biro in the house, they are drumstick.

  507. One day, Kukuma opened the fridge. Me, I don't take milk.

  508. I am lactose intolerant. I don't. The milk, the tin milk.

  509. He removed it.

  510. They've opened it, but because daddy didn't finish it, he

  511. put it back. The boy poured the milk because of

  512. the tin.

  513. I came.

  514. I don't know what I was doing, but by the

  515. time I'm outside, he has already arranged that tin milk

  516. and all that tin and all that tin. Closed and

  517. sat down inside that white milk and was playing.

  518. Jesus.

  519. Daddy, I beat him before I cleared the mess up.

  520. But when daddy comes, I was explaining and he just

  521. looked at me and laughed. Sometimes in church, when we

  522. are worshipping God, you will see daddy doing like this.

  523. I know that his mind is here.

  524. To play drum. We went to area one and mama

  525. brought out albums for us to see. Lo and behold,

  526. my grandfather, I mean their grandfather, My husband and my

  527. father-in-law snapped with playing drums.

  528. Not this type of drums.

  529. This similar thing to this sambore drum. I said, mama,

  530. papa is a drummer.

  531. I said, yes, oh. Ah, my husband, he plays drum

  532. very well. I'm like, God have mercy on me. I

  533. don't crucify my children. Oh, father, help me.

  534. I had to compensate them by... Lord, please provide so

  535. that we can get drum sets. The day drum sets

  536. enter the house, Jesus is like, I bought everybody. Now,

  537. so please, let's look at their interests and let's work

  538. on that. Number three, which is the F, is the

  539. feedback from others. What are they telling you about your child? Sometimes,

  540. talent are visible to outsiders than even the immediate families.

  541. Sometimes it can even be in the school from church

  542. or when they travel for holidays that they will observe that,

  543. this child's interest is in this. And by the time

  544. they tell us, please let us be observant and let

  545. us develop that thing in them.

  546. Number four thing here is tests. and trying of new activities.

  547. Exposing your children to new experiment or new exercise, new

  548. activities is key for them, for you also, to discover

  549. their ability. Giving them the opportunity to invest in things.

  550. They ask you for carton. That carton that I gave

  551. you last week, what do you use it for?

  552. Bring it out.

  553. They will bring something good out of it. Some of them,

  554. they will tell you, sit down. They will put pencil.

  555. Those ones, they are makeup artists. Some of them, they

  556. can create something out of nothing.

  557. And you feel like, oh, something that I've discarded.

  558. So let us give them opportunity. Sometimes they will spoil

  559. your radio. Because they want to know what is speaking

  560. inside that radio. Why that battery is not working. Sometimes

  561. when I get equipment or garbage or new things, I

  562. give it 24 hours in my house.

  563. After prayer and warning. Alarm clock. Oh, Jesus.

  564. Why the alarm is coming this way? Why is it

  565. not going this way? Why this one? Why that one?

  566. Why....

  567. And while I was discussing and I was worried about it,

  568. I'm like, God, must they spoil everything?

  569. Must they do this? Please, let's come together.

  570. For some of us, don't let us neglect the gathering

  571. of other mothers and fathers.

  572. We will learn from them.

  573. My mother-in-law said, if you know how many things your

  574. husband repairs in this house and how many things.

  575. He tries to fix and we later....

  576. I'm like, eh. He said, if we open it, something

  577. has condemned. He will tell you that thing is not condemned.

  578. Let's bring it back. Sometimes they will want to develop things,

  579. bring something out for something that you feel like, oh,

  580. this thing is no longer good.

  581. This thing, we cannot use it again. They will reset it.

  582. They will redo it and it will work again. And

  583. sometimes the thing we blow, don't give up on them. Ha,

  584. you have spoiled this thing. There was a day, mama, mama,

  585. praise the Lord. One day my baby girl just, she

  586. came to the kitchen to call my meat meal that

  587. she's going to work.

  588. I felt like it's a joke. I didn't believe what

  589. she could do.

  590. She carried her church bag. When she comes, you will

  591. see her with her church bag. she put her dummy

  592. phone inside. Went to go and meet daddy at the

  593. study and tell daddy, daddy give me khaki, I want

  594. to go to work. He didn't even, you know, he

  595. just like, nobody pay attention. Thank God that the brothers

  596. were outside washing. She passed them and by the time

  597. they look up, she's already at that signboard.

  598. She noticed that they are following him.

  599. She ran.

  600. And cross the main road. And they were dragging. You

  601. must come back home. And the cry was too much.

  602. Thank God one of our church members saw them.

  603. Leave her.

  604. You go home. Go and tell daddy and mommy. You

  605. follow her to where she's going. And she went to

  606. mama's house. She knocked the gate. Mama opened. What is it?

  607. He said mama I came to walk. I told them

  608. I'm coming to walk. So what do you want?

  609. Which walk do you want?

  610. What do you want? Me, I don't have work for you.

  611. Mama asked her to sit down. She told mama she

  612. has eaten, but she will eat again. Mama gave her food.

  613. I think later she picked her dummy phone, calling me

  614. and the daddy that she's working. She's with mama. Mama

  615. is washing.

  616. She's doing this. She's doing that. That when she's done,

  617. she will come back.

  618. Inside of me, I'm like, God, she came back. Why

  619. did you do what you did? He said, I told

  620. you that I'm going to work now. I told you

  621. I'm going to work now. That was even what's annoying me.

  622. After I beat her, I felt sorry too. Because that

  623. is what we are doing. And they are looking at us.

  624. And they also want to try the new thing. They

  625. want to experience it. So if you don't want them

  626. to start driving your car now, keep your key properly

  627. because they are looking at you as you are driving.

  628. They are looking at you as you are pressing the throttle,

  629. as you are accelerating. as you are pressing the brake.

  630. They are seeing what you are doing. So the only

  631. thing that remains for them is to try and test

  632. their ability. So if I don't want them to try

  633. my things, keep it well. And I will tell them,

  634. do it in front of me so that I will

  635. show you. Sometimes I will tell them, oh yeah, bring

  636. my camera. Let's talk about this. Please, don't touch, don't

  637. force anything, oh. Because they will try it behind you.

  638. And that is how to build skills. And then, the

  639. last one is the spiritual insight, which is why we,

  640. God called us to seek.

  641. As Manoa did.

  642. Prayerfully seek God's guidance to identify and nurture Our child

  643. in the way of the Lord. The Bible says that

  644. he prayed.

  645. He prayed.

  646. Please, parents, if you are not doing anything before, let's

  647. wake up to our responsibility. Let us pray for our children.

  648. It is not too late for you to know who

  649. your child will marry. It is not too late for

  650. you to know their cause, what they will study in life,

  651. where they will be in life, where they will settle

  652. in life.

  653. Because we are going to give accounts.

  654. Appreciate the endowment of God in their lives and sharpen it,

  655. fan it to flame. When they come back from school,

  656. you notice that this boy can draw. Take him to

  657. artists or where they are fixing things. Those ones that

  658. can fix anything. Take them to where they used to

  659. fix phones. Thank you, Daddy Barnabas. Gideon, fixing phone.

  660. So please, let us engage them. And I do hand.

  661. Is what? Is there a workshop? Discover your child's purpose.

  662. The last one. How do we do that? Call them

  663. and ask them. My son, what do you want to

  664. be remembered for? My daughter, what do you want to

  665. be remembered for? What are you living for? In your class,

  666. what do you want to be remembered for? I know

  667. they will say, hey, mommy, you want me to die?

  668. No.

  669. What is that legacy? Let's ask them legacy questions. And

  670. under legacy, we have life.

  671. L-I-F-E. The first thing is legacy. What do you love doing?

  672. Let me know. If we have not discovered them yet.

  673. I was lying down one day. I was tired. I

  674. was just lying down. And Cadiz went and brought a roll-on.

  675. We all know what a roll-on is. And the guy said, mommy,

  676. let me check your stomach. I have never carried her

  677. for stand before. I don't think she watched something like that.

  678. Inside of me, I'm like, I have a nurse in

  679. my house.

  680. Case closed.

  681. And she was doing my stomach and rolling the tin

  682. on my tummy.

  683. I said, nothing is there.

  684. Jesus filled it with nice rice and beans this afternoon.

  685. And she was checking it. Of recent, she carried my hand.

  686. She carried her pencil. She put rubber band. And she

  687. was doing like this to me. I'm putting pencil. Doing

  688. like this. I'm putting pencil. Mommy, you'll be fine. Your

  689. temperature is a little warm. Well, it's normal, but it's

  690. little warm. I'm like, how do you know what is

  691. warm and what is normal? God is revealing something.

  692. Please don't throw it away.

  693. Even when they are playing, observe them. What are the

  694. toys that they love to play with most? What are

  695. the things that triggers them? What are the movies that

  696. they love to watch? Where do they want to be.

  697. All the time? What are the things that they say?

  698. Let us encourage the legacy of our children, mothers and fathers.

  699. And for our youth too. Number two here is influence.

  700. Knowing the tools your child uses. To influence others. And

  701. this helped them. In their area of calling. Some children

  702. they can hug you.

  703. Oh.

  704. Very well.

  705. And before you know it. Maybe that person will be

  706. a teacher. Or a lawyer.

  707. Or a pastor that will persuade you. Some they can persuade.

  708. And some they can be persistent. That this one plus

  709. one is two. And nothing more. And CD said it

  710. is two.

  711. And mind you. You are raising a mathematician. Number three

  712. is fulfillment. That's F.

  713. A child's purpose is not just about what the child

  714. is good at, but what gives that child a sense

  715. of joy, a sense of peace, and a sense of accomplishment.

  716. They will show you what they draw, and they will

  717. come and say, hey, let me see what I've drawn.

  718. They will bring something that they've done, and they will

  719. show you. Some of them, they will cook to a

  720. half will not be done, half will be done.

  721. Take it with joy. Take it with joy.

  722. Correct them in love. Engagement is the last one. Please

  723. let us engage them. I've mentioned that before. Let us

  724. engage them. Don't leave them to the culture of this

  725. world that they can do anything that they like. We

  726. are all going to give accounts. In conclusion, as parents,

  727. it is vital for us to recognize our children.

  728. Know them.

  729. God has entrusted this responsibility into our hands. We are

  730. going to give account over them. You need to be open.

  731. You need to have interest in them. To know the

  732. temperament of your children. To know what changes in them

  733. because maturity will come. To know when they are undergoing pressure.

  734. And for you to make yourself available. That my son,

  735. you can run back home. Mommy is here waiting for you.

  736. Daddy is here praying for you. You can win that.

  737. You can pursue that. You can win that exam. You

  738. can pass that exam. And you are coming back with testimony.

  739. May we all rise.

  740. May we all rise.

  741. Raising a godly child requires that we know our children.

  742. I want you to pray this afternoon.

  743. Father, open my eyes. Where I've been blind to the

  744. needs of my children.

  745. Father, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Open my minds. Open my eyes.

  746. Open my insights in the name of Jesus Christ. Help

  747. me to discover.

  748. Help me to help these children so that they will

  749. develop on time. That their development will not be stagnated

  750. in the name of Jesus. You have entrusted these children

  751. into my hands. I'm going to give account. Lord, please

  752. help me. Open my eyes to see. Open my mind, Lord.

  753. Open my inner mind in the name of Jesus. Are

  754. we praying at all? Please, let's open our minds. Let's

  755. open our mouth and let's pray unto God. The Father,

  756. in your mercy, open my eyes to see. Open my mind,

  757. O God. Open my inner ears, Lord. Let me hear

  758. what you are saying concerning this daughter of mine. Let

  759. me hear what you are saying concerning this son of mine.

  760. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father, this

  761. is our heart crying. This morning that you will open

  762. our eyes to see, Lord. That you will open our

  763. minds to know the children you have given unto us.

  764. That we will not be so careless with them, Lord.

  765. That we will not be careless with their growth. That

  766. we will not be careless with their development. That we

  767. will not be careless in their spiritual life. That in

  768. all good ramifications, Lord, you will help us. Lord, to

  769. build them emotionally. To build them up spiritually. To build

  770. them up academically. To build them up financially. To build

  771. them up materially. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

  772. Are we praying at all?

  773. I want us to pray unto God.

  774. Say, Father.

  775. I want you to say, Father. Uproot every destiny wasters.

  776. Uproot every destiny wasters.

  777. Around my children. In the name of Jesus Christ. Father,

  778. in the name of Jesus. Every destiny wasters. Be it ignorance.

  779. Be it bad friends. Be it, oh God, Jezebel. Whosoever

  780. their names are called. Be it culture. Be it background.

  781. Lord, approach them. In the name of Jesus Christ. Every

  782. destiny wasters. My children will not be comfortable with them.

  783. In the name of Jesus.

  784. You know destiny wasters. That the enemy sets.

  785. That destroy the destiny of something. Her name was Eliana. Oh,

  786. every Daniela. Lord, you will crucify them. In the name

  787. of Jesus Christ. My children will not be comfortable with them.

  788. In the name of Jesus. Pray unto God that our

  789. children will not be comfortable with every destiny wasters.

  790. In the name of Jesus.

  791. They will not be comfortable with them. They will not

  792. even walk with them. In the name of Jesus. We

  793. break them free from the shackles of destiny wasters. In

  794. the name of Jesus. Let's begin to preserve the destiny

  795. of our children. Let's say, my children, your destiny are preserved.

  796. in the blood of Jesus Christ you will fulfill purpose

  797. you will fulfill purpose of God you will fulfill your

  798. purpose you will fulfill the destiny that you have called

  799. to fulfill in life.

  800. In the name of Jesus Christ.

  801. You will not be too trusted so that the enemy

  802. will not catch you.

  803. You will not be too trusted to be careless.

  804. In the name of Jesus. You will not walk into dangers.

  805. You will not walk into dangers. But friends, I call

  806. you away from them. I call you away from wrong influencers.

  807. In the name of Jesus Christ. Let's pray. Father, grant

  808. me wisdom. Lord, grant me wisdom. I cannot do it

  809. by my strength. I cannot do it by my strength. Lord,

  810. grant me the strength.

  811. Daddy, this is my heart desire. Grant me the wisdom.

  812. Grant me the strength. In the name of Jesus. I

  813. want you to cry to God. The Father of my children,

  814. I receive all unrest. All around rests our spirits. All

  815. around rests is my desire over my children. Youth, I

  816. want you to sow the seed of prayers into the

  817. life of your children and even to your future. In

  818. the name of Jesus. So, Father, we receive strength. We

  819. receive all and rest over our children. Mention their names.

  820. Mention their names. Mention their names. Say, over Marcus, I

  821. receive it. I receive all and rest. Over John, I

  822. receive all and rest. Over Cadiz, I receive all and rest.

  823. Over the children you have given to me, Lord. All

  824. of them, they are my spiritual children. I receive all unrest.

  825. I will not hear bad news concerning them. They will

  826. not fall in the name of Jesus. All of them

  827. that you have attached to my destiny. All of them

  828. that you have attached to our ministry. In your mercy,

  829. you will preserve them. All our youth, you will preserve them. Lord,

  830. we receive all unrest concerning them. We will not receive

  831. emergency call over all our children. Those that are here.

  832. Those that are not here. Those that are in school.

  833. Those that are already serving. Oh, Lord, we pray for

  834. all unrest over our spiritual children. for all our children,

  835. for everyone that are connected to Russell Ball. We receive

  836. all round rest in the name of Jesus. Begin to

  837. appreciate God for.

  838. Us and pray us.

  839. Say, Lord, I'm grateful because you will help me. Thank you, Father.

  840. Blessed be your name, O God. Because we will not

  841. do this in vain. In the name of Jesus.

  842. Because these children will not turn back to be our

  843. enemies in future.

  844. They will not bring our enemies as wives. They will

  845. not bring our enemies as husbands. In the name of Jesus.

  846. They will not bring enemies of God as their partners

  847. in future. In the mighty name of Jesus. Daddy, we

  848. thank you. Because we will heed the fruit of our labors.

  849. We will not be cut short. In the name of Jesus.

  850. Our labor will not be in vain over these children.

  851. Thank you, awesome God.

  852. We appreciate you, Lord.

  853. Blessed be your name, oh God. For in Jesus' mighty name,

  854. we have prayed. Let's put our hands together for Jesus

  855. as we have our seat.
