Psalm 145, verse 18 says, The Lord is near to all who call on him.
-
One of the greatest comforts in the Christian life is knowing that God is near.
-
No matter where you find yourself, no matter how it feels, yet sometimes we become so focused on our responsibilities or worries or schedules that we forget God is already present.
-
Today isn't about trying to find God somewhere far away.
-
It's about becoming aware of the God who is already close to you today.
-
Let's meditate on that truth and our time of prayer.
-
Take 30 seconds in silence to make yourself aware of God who is near to you today.
-
Take a moment and thank God for his nearness.
-
His presence is not based on your feelings, rather on his promise.
-
Take 15 seconds to thank him for his presence in your life.
-
As you spend time with the Lord, ask him to increase your awareness of his presence today.
-
Maybe life has felt busy or distracting lately.
-
Bring those distractions before him and ask him to help you recognize his nearness in ordinary moments.
-
Invite God to make his presence more real to your heart throughout the day.
-
Open our eyes to your presence today.
-
Would you pray this with me?
-
Father, thank you that you are always near.
-
Lord, open my eyes to your presence today.
-
Amen.
