The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
-
Shalom beloved, you are warmly welcome to Radio ACI today
-
for a morning glory devotion. The theme for today's devotion
-
is No Suggestion Box, written by Pastor and Mrs. Amo
-
Apia of Harvest Chapel International, Kumasi. Let us kindly share
-
a word of prayer. Father, thank you for the privilege
-
to hear your word. Open up our hearts to receive
-
your word and lighten up our day with your word
-
in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. Let us kindly take our
-
confession from Joshua 1, verse 8. Joshua 1, verse 8.
-
This book of the law shall not depart out of
-
my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night,
-
that I may observe to do according to all that
-
is written in it. For then I will make my
-
way prosperous, and then I will have good success. Amen.

No Suggestion Box No Suggestion Box A script written by
-
Pastor and Mrs. Amo Appiah Our scripture reading will be
-
taken from Psalm 19 verse 7 to 11. Psalm 19
-
verse 7 to 11. Let us hear the word of
-
the Lord. The law of the Lord is perfect, converting
-
the soul. The testimony of the Lord is sure, making
-
wise the simple. The statutes of the law are right,
-
rejoicing the heart. The commandment of the Lord is pure,
-
enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean,
-
enduring forever. The judgments of the Lord are true and
-
righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea,
-
than much fine gold. Sweeter also than any and any comb. Moreover,
-
By them your servant is warned, and in keeping them
-
there is great reward. The Lord add his blessing to
-
the reading and hearing of his word. Thanks be to God.
-
No Suggestion Box Most of us would never dare to
-
speak it aloud. But in our private moments, we often
-
treat the Lord Jesus as though he ran a suggestion box.
-
We love the promise of his mercy. We welcome his
-
comfort when life hurts and we gladly receive his forgiveness
-
when guilt weighs heavy on our conscience. But when his
-
word speaks into our money, our speech, our private habits
-
or our temper, our hearts tend to pull back. We
-
treat his commandments as helpful suggestions to consider if it
-
fits our plans, rather than the sovereign call of our king.
-
Yet God will never be a mere advisor. He is
-
the Lord of glory. And he refuses to share the
-
throne of your heart with anyone else, least of all yourself.
-
David understood this. and did not see God's word as
-
a heavy chain around his neck. He saw it as
-
a sweet life-giving truth. Think back to the children of Israel.
-
God did not meet them in Egyptian bondage and give
-
them a list of rules to earn their freedom. No,
-
he broke their chains first. He parted the sea, brought
-
them out by his mighty hand, and then led them
-
to Mount Sinai. He gave them his law because they
-
were already his chosen children. The law was not the
-
prize of their rescue. It was the safe path for
-
their new life. Our Father made us. He understands how
-
the heart works. And he knows the traps that ruin
-
a life far better than we do. His boundaries are
-
not meant to rob us of our joy, but to
-
preserve our souls from destruction. Let us lay down our
-
small kingdoms today and stop treating the living word of
-
God as a suggestion box. When we bow our hearts
-
before King Jesus, we will not lose our freedom, but
-
rather find rest for our souls. Amen. Let us kindly
-
take our memory verse for today from Psalm 19 verse 7.
-
Psalm 19 verse 7 reading from the New King James Version.

-
as law in our lives. In Jesus' name. Amen. God
