  6. Apia of Harvest Chapel International, Kumasi. Let us kindly share

  7. a word of prayer. Father, thank you for the privilege

  8. to hear your word. Open up our hearts to receive

  9. your word and lighten up our day with your word

  10. in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. Let us kindly take our

  11. confession from Joshua 1, verse 8. Joshua 1, verse 8.

    Joshua 1:8 Joshua 1:8

  12. This book of the law shall not depart out of

  13. my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night,

  14. that I may observe to do according to all that

  15. is written in it. For then I will make my

  16. way prosperous, and then I will have good success. Amen.

  17. No Suggestion Box No Suggestion Box A script written by

  18. Pastor and Mrs. Amo Appiah Our scripture reading will be

  19. taken from Psalm 19 verse 7 to 11. Psalm 19

    Psalms 19:7–11 Psalms 19:7–11

  20. verse 7 to 11. Let us hear the word of

  21. the Lord. The law of the Lord is perfect, converting

  22. the soul. The testimony of the Lord is sure, making

  23. wise the simple. The statutes of the law are right,

  24. rejoicing the heart. The commandment of the Lord is pure,

  25. enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean,

  26. enduring forever. The judgments of the Lord are true and

  27. righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea,

  28. than much fine gold. Sweeter also than any and any comb. Moreover,

  29. By them your servant is warned, and in keeping them

  30. there is great reward. The Lord add his blessing to

  31. the reading and hearing of his word. Thanks be to God.

  32. No Suggestion Box Most of us would never dare to

  33. speak it aloud. But in our private moments, we often

  34. treat the Lord Jesus as though he ran a suggestion box.

  35. We love the promise of his mercy. We welcome his

  36. comfort when life hurts and we gladly receive his forgiveness

  37. when guilt weighs heavy on our conscience. But when his

  38. word speaks into our money, our speech, our private habits

  39. or our temper, our hearts tend to pull back. We

  40. treat his commandments as helpful suggestions to consider if it

  41. fits our plans, rather than the sovereign call of our king.

  42. Yet God will never be a mere advisor. He is

  43. the Lord of glory. And he refuses to share the

  44. throne of your heart with anyone else, least of all yourself.

  45. David understood this. and did not see God's word as

  46. a heavy chain around his neck. He saw it as

  47. a sweet life-giving truth. Think back to the children of Israel.

  48. God did not meet them in Egyptian bondage and give

  49. them a list of rules to earn their freedom. No,

  50. he broke their chains first. He parted the sea, brought

  51. them out by his mighty hand, and then led them

  52. to Mount Sinai. He gave them his law because they

  53. were already his chosen children. The law was not the

  54. prize of their rescue. It was the safe path for

  55. their new life. Our Father made us. He understands how

  56. the heart works. And he knows the traps that ruin

  57. a life far better than we do. His boundaries are

  58. not meant to rob us of our joy, but to

  59. preserve our souls from destruction. Let us lay down our

  60. small kingdoms today and stop treating the living word of

  61. God as a suggestion box. When we bow our hearts

  62. before King Jesus, we will not lose our freedom, but

  63. rather find rest for our souls. Amen. Let us kindly

  64. take our memory verse for today from Psalm 19 verse 7.

    Psalms 19:7

  65. Psalm 19 verse 7 reading from the New King James Version.

    Psalms 19:7

  70. Let us kindly share a word of prayer. Father, we

  71. thank you for your word that has come to us

  72. this morning. We pray that you open up our hearts

  73. to walk with you, to embrace your word, O God,

  74. as law in our lives. In Jesus' name. Amen. God

  75. bless you for staying with us to the end. Remember

  76. that when we bow our hearts before King Jesus, we

  77. will not lose our freedom but rather find rest for

  78. our souls. Amen. You still want to stay connected to
