  1. All right.

  2. Good evening.

  3. The sun's still shining.

  4. He must have knew we were talking about him this morning.

  5. Amen.

  6. Open your Bibles to John chapter four.

  7. John chapter four.

  8. You know, this artificial intelligence is coming around.

  9. One of these days, these clocks in churches like this one

  10. could have artificial intelligence.

  11. And I figured on, you know, if I said, this is such a beautiful

  12. clock, it is such a nice clock, it's so handsome and so forth.

  13. Name is sharp.

  14. Maybe it'll give you a little more time.

  15. What do you think?

  16. What do you think?

  17. I think preachers ought to invent something like that, don't

  18. you?

  19. John, chapter four.

  20. John, chapter four.

  21. It is amazing that the music that was being played here and the

  22. songs that we were singing, because that's exactly what I'm preaching

  23. on tonight.

  24. The longer you went, the more it kept coming about.

  25. And I thought, wow, this is amazing.

  26. John, chapter four.

  27. This is one of my favorite stories, the Bible.

  28. Have a hard time not preaching it often.

  29. And there's wrinkles in here to bring out off and on.

  30. And it's like the miracles of Christ.

  31. There's certain ones that are hard to stay away from.

  32. This one has a lot more to it.

  33. And just on the surface, just the story itself is outstanding.

  34. It's very moving, but with an Old Testament backdrop, it really

  35. sets it off because the writers of the New Testament write

  36. as though you know your Old Testament.

  37. And when you get that in your mind, your Bible reads differently.

  38. Because as you go through Matthew all the way through Revelation

  39. and you see these things pop up, you go, wow, that connects here

  40. and that connects here and connects here and so forth.

  41. And we try to do that in seminary, try to teach them the entire

  42. Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

  43. Their first year they study Genesis.

  44. Their last semester, their last year, they study Revelation.

  45. Brother Tunnel is a product of your investment out at the seminary.

  46. Jared Tunnell.

  47. And I can tell you a lot of stories about him.

  48. He pastored in his state, north here as associate pastor.

  49. I won't mention the state.

  50. I'm very humble.

  51. But anyway, look at John chapter 4.

    John 4 chapter mention

  52. There's a word picture here.

  53. And this is a Holy Spirit word picture.

  54. This is one he set up years ago.

  55. I got over the idea, well, you know, this is kind of old time stuff.

  56. It's written several hundred years ago, several thousand years

  57. ago, as far back as you want to go.

  58. But the Holy Spirit knows It is 2026, amen.

  59. And when this story happened, he knew we'd be sitting here tonight

  60. and he knew that we needed to be spoken to.

  61. And recently I was asked my wife, how long ago it was around

  62. four or five years ago.

  63. When I asked my wife a question about dates, she always

  64. stop and she says, okay, when that happened, this was happening,

  65. and this was happening.

  66. And then she can tell me when it was.

  67. And she told me, well, Candy was still the secretary out at the

  68. seminary.

  69. And this, that, whatever.

  70. So I think about four years ago, we had that terrible ice storm.

  71. And I've used this illustration before.

  72. I've said to people, what if the water that you get your house

  73. wasn't very good?

  74. And I used to minister in a city where the little lake would

  75. turn over.

  76. And I don't care what you put in it.

  77. I don't care what you put in your tea.

  78. I don't care what you did.

  79. It just had a terrible odor.

  80. I won't say what city it was, but it's not too far from here.

  81. And it was just one of those things.

  82. And I didn't have to say anything.

  83. The locals said something about it.

  84. But when that ice storm came about four years ago or so, our water

  85. was literally unusable.

  86. Because, remember, it froze over.

  87. And all the water sources and the plants and everything shut down.

  88. And the water all through our house was horrible.

  89. And it had stuff in it.

  90. I mean, sticks and I mean grass and discolored.

  91. And people say, well, boil it.

  92. Boil it.

  93. Wouldn't do any good.

  94. And we were one of the last people to get water.

  95. Whatever our plant was out there north of us.

  96. We hadn't lived out there that long.

  97. We were the last persons to get normal water.

  98. It was terrible and so forth.

  99. So as we look at this story about the woman at the well.

  100. Let me just say something to you that we can relate to this.

  101. We take our water for granted.

  102. And there's a few times where I didn't take one for granted anymore.

  103. And this is a classic story.

  104. Let me.

  105. I'm not going to sing tonight, okay?

  106. Your music director asked me to sing.

  107. And Brother Clark begged me not to sing.

  108. Daniel Barker and I were going to sing a special.

  109. Somebody else walked in a little bit ago, I noticed.

  110. We used to sing some together.

  111. And he doesn't sing with me anymore.

  112. I don't know why.

  113. But anyway, listen to this.

  114. Now.

  115. There was a thirsty woman and she was drawing from a well all her

  116. life was ruined and wasted and her soul was bound for hell oh, but

  117. then she met the master and he told her all about her sins and he

  118. said, if you drink this water, you will never thirst again.

  119. There is a river that flows from deep within I got the joy, joy,

  120. joy, joy down in my heart Remember that.

  121. You just remember that song.

  122. That's all I'm singing.

  123. I'm under contract not to sing.

  124. There is a fountain and frees the soul from sin so come to this

  125. water There is a vast supply There is a river that never shall

  126. run dry It's a great song.

  127. I wish somebody could sing it, but I'm not going to even try.

  128. Father, bless the next several minutes and help us to open up and

  129. see this, what you gave us.

  130. It's just a great story.

  131. It's a great event.

  132. It really happened.

  133. And it happened just like it says it did here.

  134. Help us to enter into it and get the message.

  135. We pray these things in Jesus name.

  136. Amen.

  137. Let's get into the story and let's begin to make some applications.

  138. Okay?

  139. Verse 1, John, chapter 4.

    John 4 chapter mention

  140. When, therefore, the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that

  141. Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John.

  142. Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples.

  143. He left Judea and departed again into Galilee.

  144. So he's headed up north, and he must needs go through Samaria.

  145. Now, anytime you read this, people always stop and pause there.

  146. And you have to, you need to.

  147. Because if anything, Christ showed us he didn't come just for

  148. the Jews, okay?

  149. He came for the half Jews, so to speak, and half Gentiles, Samaritans,

  150. roughly, according to that.

  151. There's a lot of history, the Assyrians coming in and shaking things

  152. up and leaving people behind.

  153. It was kind of a mixed group.

  154. And they were off with their religious concepts and so forth,

  155. as you know, as you're going to see here, fresh.

  156. But also he reached out obviously to the Gentiles completely.

  157. And I'm a Gentile.

  158. I'm glad he reached out to me.

  159. My wife's got a little Jewish blood in her, so I married her just

  160. in case, you know, just in case.

  161. Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar,

  162. near to a parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

  163. You can go back and read about that in Genesis, where he actually

  164. gave him this parcel of ground.

  165. Jacob did, when Joseph got back in the land and so forth and

  166. reunited with the family and connected, you know, even though

  167. he went back and forth, he had that place for the inheritance of

  168. his family.

  169. Because, remember, he was taken out of this picture for a while.

  170. There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water.

  171. Now, as we go through here, watch for water.

  172. Well, thirsty, anything that has to do with water.

  173. It just starts jumping off the page.

  174. What this is stressing more than anything else.

  175. It's stressing water.

  176. Well refreshment.

  177. Just kind of watch for this.

  178. Anything has to do with water.

  179. Let's see how it jumps off the page.

  180. And again, by itself, it's fantastic.

  181. It's just a great story, but it really connects, as you're going

  182. to see in a few minutes.

  183. And so she comes there to draw water, and it says, jacob's well

  184. was there.

  185. Jesus, therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus

  186. on the well.

  187. And it was about the sixth hour, that's high noon.

  188. There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water.

  189. Jesus saith unto her, give me to drink.

  190. Now, again, let me sup up the things.

  191. You know, it wasn't really appropriate per se, in their way

  192. of thinking.

  193. It wasn't immoral.

  194. It was just kind of a cultural thing that you didn't necessarily

  195. talk to a woman by yourself in this situation, especially the way

  196. you would frame this woman at this time in her life.

  197. And he's a Jew, he's talking to a Samaritan, and he's looked upon

  198. even as a rabbi, so to speak.

  199. Not in the official sense, but in the real official sense, because

  200. he's God of the universe.

  201. Amen.

  202. And so for him to be talking to her in that situation says a lot.

  203. And it tells you and I that obviously Jesus valued womanhood.

  204. Look at the women in Jesus ministry.

  205. Amen.

  206. And so he's got this interaction, and it says, his disciples

  207. are gone away into his city to buy meat.

  208. Now, there's meat, physical meat, and there's spiritual meat.

  209. There's physical water, and there's spiritual water.

  210. And we might have a tendency to say, well, that physical water

  211. is pretty important.

  212. I mean, I'm for the spiritual, but that physical water is pretty

  213. important.

  214. Can I jump ahead and just tell you something right now?

  215. You are primarily physical, but you are secondarily spiritual.

  216. You have a terrestrial body at the resurrection, ultimately you

  217. will have a celestial body that's primarily spiritual and secondarily

  218. physical.

  219. Now, what all that means, I don't know.

  220. Okay?

  221. But it's in First Corinthians, chapter 15.

    1 Corinthians 15 chapter mention

  222. The angels are like that.

  223. The resurrected body that Jesus had could appear and disappear,

  224. etc.

  225. That's where you're headed.

  226. This is a tabernacle.

  227. We're talking this morning.

  228. This is a temporary house.

  229. I am glad that this is a temporary house.

  230. When I was these young people's age, it didn't mean much

  231. to me.

  232. Okay?

  233. But it means a whole lot to me right now, since I turned 39.

  234. All right, look what it says here.

  235. Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, how is it thou,

  236. being a Jew, asketh drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria?

  237. The Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

  238. Jesus answered and said unto her, if thou knewest the gift.

  239. The gift.

  240. Now listen, this is Jesus talking.

  241. I don't think I can hype this enough.

  242. I don't think I can make too much of this.

  243. This is Christ teaching.

  244. He's using an object lesson.

  245. You may not have a well in your backyard.

  246. You may have a well, okay?

  247. But this is Christ talking.

  248. And you know, right now we're 75.

  249. 80.

  250. 80% water.

  251. You know how important water is to our universe, by the way, how

  252. many have ever had pre flood water?

  253. Daniel Barker and his wife have had pre flood water.

  254. I know that.

  255. How many have ever had pre flood water?

  256. All water is pre flood water.

  257. Amen.

  258. Am I right?

  259. Is God making new water?

  260. Is there a hydrological cycle?

  261. Does water disappear?

  262. No.

  263. Are you listening?

  264. Okay, I'm trying to get you hooked, trying to get you to ask

  265. me to Brother Stu.

  266. Don't stop at seven, okay?

  267. But anyway, keep going.

  268. And it says here, if thou knewest the gift of God and who it

  269. is that is so key, because she's going to find out.

  270. And she comes to it slowly, as you'll see.

  271. And who it is that saith to thee, give me to drink, thou wouldest

  272. have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

  273. That's Old Testament warning, by the way, who wrote the Old Testament?

  274. The person talking to her God, who at sundry times in divers manner

  275. spake of the fathers by the prophets, hath his last days spoken

  276. to us by his Son.

  277. Christ was their subject.

  278. And Christ, the spirit of Christ, according to Peter, was the

  279. writer of the Old Testament.

  280. A lot of times the Old Testament writers did not fully understand

  281. everything they were writing.

  282. That's what Peter tells us.

  283. Now look at the next verse.

  284. The woman saith him, sir, thou hast nothing to draw with.

  285. And the well is deep.

  286. That's why it's still got water in it.

  287. You're going to find out.

  288. It's Jacob's well.

  289. And this is a few years after Jacob had lived.

  290. This is about 2000 years after Jacob had been on the earth.

  291. And it's still a great source of water.

  292. It's one thing to look down there and there's some water down

  293. there.

  294. And you Say, you know, at one time, this was a really good well.

  295. Drop that candle down there and look.

  296. See that?

  297. At one time, it was still a wonderful source of water.

  298. It had a spring down below it.

  299. They tell us they don't know exactly where it was, but most people

  300. think, as I understand it, they know where it is today.

  301. And it still has water, very deep, because it was so deep and

  302. it had a source.

  303. Did I say it was deep?

  304. I want to tell you tonight about the deepest well there is,

  305. deeper than this one I touched on this morning.

  306. And the well is deep.

  307. From whence hast thou that living water?

  308. You can't give me water out here.

  309. You don't have anything to get it with.

  310. Art thou greater than our father Jacob?

  311. You remember when Jacob and Jesus wrestled all night?

  312. Why do you think they wrestled all night?

  313. How long do you think it would have taken Jesus to put him in a

  314. full Nelson scissor hold and a headlock?

  315. How long do you think could have gone on?

  316. They wrestled all night.

  317. Because Jacob's just still, after all he's been through with

  318. Uncle Laban, he's going to face his brother, everything going

  319. on.

  320. He's still got a little bit of, I got to do this.

  321. I've got to figure out something.

  322. He's got that offering going out there.

  323. He's got his wives bowing down and so forth, and he's just.

  324. You got to bring him to the end of himself.

  325. And I could just hear Jesus say, well, maybe a little.

  326. Maybe a little greater than Jacob.

  327. Jacob's name was changed to Israel.

  328. You know who the greater Israel is?

  329. Jesus Christ.

  330. He's the one who has power with God and with man.

  331. That's what Israel means.

  332. He is ultimately Israel.

  333. You can read that in Isaiah where it switches back and forth

  334. between Israel, the nation, and Israel is Christ.

  335. And it says, which gave us.

  336. Which gave us the well and drank thereof himself and his children

  337. and his cattle.

  338. Jesus answered and said unto her, whosoever drinketh this water

  339. shall thirst again.

  340. He didn't say, yes, I'm greater than Jacob, but she's onto

  341. something.

  342. I mean, he's claiming something pretty amazing.

  343. So she's, you know, she's picking up on something.

  344. But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall

  345. never thirst.

  346. But the water, the water, the thirst that drinketh the water, the

  347. well, the water shall never thirst that I shall give him shall

  348. be in him.

  349. Shall be in him.

  350. In him.

  351. I'm looking at a bunch of wells tonight.

  352. W E L L S. Okay.

  353. I know how to spell whale.

  354. Okay.

  355. With an S. Okay.

  356. Now watch this.

  357. Shall be in him.

  358. A well of water springing up.

  359. Now, it's one thing to have a well of water.

  360. It's another thing to have a pump that brings it up.

  361. My wife and I, we were in Oklahoma visiting a church up there,

  362. one of our supporting churches some time back.

  363. And they had a park called Boiling Springs.

  364. You ever been to Boiling Springs in Oklahoma?

  365. You can talk to me afterwards.

  366. It's pretty cool.

  367. You can sit there and look and you see it boiling up and whatever.

  368. This is better than that.

  369. This is an artesian well he's describing.

  370. It's in him.

  371. It would be in him springing up into everlasting life.

  372. Now let's get something clear tonight.

  373. For.

  374. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son

  375. that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but someday

  376. have everlasting life.

  377. Is that what it says?

  378. Not the King James Version.

  379. Okay.

  380. Has present tense.

  381. Everlasting life you have.

  382. If you're saved tonight, do you have life already?

  383. Everlasting, Yeah.

  384. I came to give you life more abundant.

  385. You have it now.

  386. This is what's got to happen.

  387. I grew up in church.

  388. I know what familiarity is to the Bible.

  389. I know what familiarity is to the hymns.

  390. I know what familiarity is to Bible stories.

  391. I thank God that the Scriptures just keep opening up and

  392. they just kind of keep bubbling up, keep springing up, whatever.

  393. I remember when I first came out of school, I thought, I'm going

  394. to get those Bible stories that are tucked away here and there

  395. that people haven't really heard about, don't really know.

  396. And that's how I'm going to hold their attention.

  397. And as I got into the Bible, the stories I thought I knew, I was

  398. ice skating on them.

  399. I wasn't just splashing.

  400. There was nothing that warned me.

  401. I thought I knew them.

  402. I started breaking through the ice.

  403. Man, I get these stories now.

  404. I swim.

  405. I swim in them.

  406. The more you learn this passage, the more you learn this

  407. passage, the more you learn this passage.

  408. Next thing you know, you think, you know what.

  409. We've got to have more time to teach.

  410. We teach two and a half hours at the seminary.

  411. We take a ten minute break, but we hit two and a half hours.

  412. Then we have chapel and we go two and a half hours again.

  413. Sometimes we teach from seven to 1:10.

  414. Well, that's hard for me to do.

  415. I have trouble finding words.

  416. But anyway, it's not enough time when these guys Graduate after

  417. four years.

  418. I look at Daniel Barker and I think, Daniel got one more Daniel.

  419. One more class.

  420. Just one more class.

  421. That's the Bible.

  422. Amen.

  423. Methuselah was.

  424. If he would have had a Bible, he would have said, can I have one

  425. more year?

  426. Look what it says here.

  427. The woman said to him, sir, give me this water that I thirst

  428. not, Neither come hither to draw.

  429. I don't know what she's thinking totally, but she's thinking,

  430. still physical water.

  431. And she has to go out there at the high noon because other women

  432. don't want to be around her.

  433. You know the story.

  434. We'll touch on it.

  435. They don't want to be around her.

  436. And she's coming at high noon.

  437. And it's the heat of the day when it's hot during that time.

  438. And that land at this time is pretty barren.

  439. It's pretty, pretty dry.

  440. And she said, boy, it'd be great not to come here and get that

  441. water and carry it back and so forth.

  442. And wow, if it could do that for me, that'd be fancy.

  443. Jesus answered.

  444. Jesus saith to her, now watch how Jesus witnesses.

  445. He's already shown her respect.

  446. He's already been very kind to her.

  447. And he drops the law down in front of her.

  448. The Bible says the law is like a mirror.

  449. James says, it's like a mirror.

  450. When I look in the mirror of God's law, I think, amazing grace,

  451. how sweet.

  452. You thought I was going to sing, didn't you?

  453. Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me.

  454. Wonderful grace of Jesus.

  455. Marvelous grace.

  456. I look at myself against the law, and I think, wow, that hairline

  457. is not even receding anymore.

  458. It's gone.

  459. I look at that mirror.

  460. I look in the mirror of God's word.

  461. And I remember we talked about this morning.

  462. You know this.

  463. We are accountable for our thought life.

  464. The tenth Commandment says, thou shalt not covet.

  465. Think about that.

  466. That's how holy God is.

  467. We talked about this morning.

  468. Psalm139.

  469. He knows our thoughts before we have them, man.

  470. He dropped the law down in front of her.

  471. He says, go get your husband.

  472. I mean, if I got living water, why don't you?

  473. Not just you, but go get your husband.

  474. Now, did Jesus know she didn't have a husband?

  475. Yes, he knew she didn't have a husband.

  476. Did Jesus know that she was living with somebody?

  477. Yes, he knew that.

  478. He'd say, lady, you know, I hope you're impressed that I'm talking

  479. to you.

  480. You know, I am a Jew.

  481. I'm pretty highly respected.

  482. And, yes, I'm greater than Jacob.

  483. And if it doesn't flatter you that I'm.

  484. Is that how Jesus talked to her?

  485. No.

  486. What we do or do not do does not determine our worth.

  487. I got a list of 25 things out of Genesis 1 that the Holy Spirit

  488. shows us why God values us.

  489. I'm not going to go into them, but he did only make one man.

  490. He made the animals in mass.

  491. Then he made one man.

  492. And he didn't call them into existence like he did the animals.

  493. He formed him.

  494. And it's almost like.

  495. I don't know.

  496. I don't know how literally we're supposed to take this.

  497. I can't wait to get him and find out about some of this stuff.

  498. But it's almost like he made this clay sculpture because it says

  499. that the midst of the ground came up and he formed men, the dust

  500. of the earth.

  501. And then it says he breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.

  502. He didn't do that with the animals.

  503. And man became a living soul.

  504. He made him last.

  505. All this was made for Adam.

  506. Everything was made for Adam.

  507. Somebody tell that about the people that are upset about the beached

  508. whales.

  509. I mean, I don't want a beached whale to suffer, but I think humans

  510. are a little more important than a beached whale.

  511. You see how we get all the way from the Bible, how we get wacky.

  512. I mean, wacky.

  513. This woman, to a lot of people was just, okay, fine.

  514. Jesus values her as much as anybody else.

  515. Not just because he's a wonderful God, because we don't get

  516. our value for what we do or do not do.

  517. Amen.

  518. Do you think there's rejoicing in heaven?

  519. The thief on the cross got saved.

  520. Absolutely.

  521. Isn't it going to be neat to meet some of these people in heaven?

  522. Wow.

  523. Now watch here.

  524. He said, go and call thy husband.

  525. And she reached over and got her cell phone, and she was trying

  526. to cover it up.

  527. She reached and said, well, you know what?

  528. My battery's low.

  529. I don't think I can call him.

  530. Is that what she did?

  531. No, look what she said.

  532. I have no husband.

  533. She's excited.

  534. She's got this look on her face.

  535. Give me this water.

  536. Give me this water.

  537. I mean, you know that she clings that fast.

  538. She's.

  539. She is thirsty.

  540. She's thirsty.

  541. And she says, give me this water.

  542. And he says, well, go call your husband and come hither.

  543. Then you see, her account is changed.

  544. I have no husband.

  545. Jesus said at her Thou hast Well said.

  546. For thou hast had five husbands.

  547. And he whom thou now hast is not thy husband.

  548. In that saidst thou truly?

  549. I think she probably thought Jesus would get up now and just say,

  550. see you later.

  551. He didn't.

  552. Do you feel like you're there watching this?

  553. That's what you need to feel.

  554. You know, years ago, people used to watch radio and people used

  555. to read books and they'd see what they're reading.

  556. We got so much of this in this.

  557. Well, I guess I got to read my Bible.

  558. Why don't you teach your kids how to read?

  559. And get all that media away from them.

  560. Let them develop their brain and imagination.

  561. Amen.

  562. Look what it says here.

  563. For thou hast had five husbands.

  564. Look at verse 19.

  565. The woman said unto him, sir, I perceive.

  566. I love that word perceive.

  567. Looking past the fog and the confusion, I perceive thou art a

  568. prophet.

  569. Getting warmer.

  570. Get warmer.

  571. He is a prophet.

  572. Amen.

  573. Moses said, a prophet.

  574. Like unto me shall God raise up.

  575. He is a prophet.

  576. But, oh, he's not just a prophet.

  577. He's a priest.

  578. He's a king.

  579. He's more than that.

  580. He's a creator.

  581. He's God.

  582. God in the flesh.

  583. She's talking to God.

  584. Don't you wish you could talk to God?

  585. Wouldn't that be cool if you could?

  586. Wouldn't that be something if you could talk to God?

  587. Amen.

  588. If I'm stone.

  589. If I'm a stone cold fake, what I'm saying is still true.

  590. What sayeth the Scriptures?

  591. Amen.

  592. If I walk out of here and I am just a totally different personality.

  593. What sayeth the Scriptures?

  594. She is talking to God.

  595. He has all the time in the world.

  596. For, by the way, when you got saved, the same thing was happening.

  597. Amen.

  598. Did he not talk to you?

  599. Did the Holy Spirit not make your sin so real that it bothered

  600. you?

  601. Did he not reveal to you that there's only one possible Savior?

  602. That God you sinned against came down here and fixed it.

  603. And when Christ rose to the dead, God was saying, I'm satisfied.

  604. Isaiah 53 says, he shall see the travail of his soul.

  605. Not just the physical, but even the soul shall be satisfied.

  606. Amen.

  607. When you get to heaven, God's not going to have a chip on his shoulder.

  608. Remember the prodigal Son?

  609. There was two of them, by the way.

  610. One stayed and one went away.

  611. One represented the religious group that was fake, the Pharisees,

  612. etc.

  613. The other one represented the sinner who'd gone astray when he

  614. Came home.

  615. What did his dad do?

  616. Ran out to meet him.

  617. Jesus is trying to clarify to those religious leaders, you got

  618. the wrong idea of God.

  619. I don't like you talking about my Father that way.

  620. I want you to understand that's not him.

  621. Amen.

  622. How would you like to have this kind of conversation with Christ?

  623. Oh, by the way, what's better than miracles?

  624. Keep going.

  625. Our fathers worship in this mountain, she says, and you say that

  626. in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

  627. Jesus saith unto her, woman, believe me.

  628. Here's a key coming up.

  629. Believe me.

  630. The hour cometh when you shall, neither in this mountain nor

  631. yet at Jerusalem, worship the father.

  632. Watch this.

  633. Ye.

  634. Worship the Father.

  635. You know not what.

  636. By the way, notice he says ye.

  637. You got a King James Bible.

  638. Ye is plural.

  639. The is singular.

  640. So he's not just talking to her, he's talking to all Samaritans.

  641. You mean well, but you got it all mixed up.

  642. You're worshiping the wrong mountain and you're worshiping the

  643. wrong ideas about God and salvation, etc.

  644. The word ye means he's not just talking to her.

  645. I like this Bible.

  646. It was here when I got here.

  647. It'll be here when I'm not here.

  648. The other ones, they keep twisting around.

  649. They get some big faculty now to take the New American Standard

  650. and make it the Legacy Bible, which I appreciate.

  651. There's a lot of good men involved in that.

  652. But you know what?

  653. They were starting to lose traction with the esv, okay?

  654. They still don't have it like this.

  655. I'm sorry.

  656. That rabbit ran across here and I didn't want to shoot him, but

  657. I wanted to at least call attention to him.

  658. Okay?

  659. Watch what he says here.

  660. For salvation is of the Jews.

  661. It's not just for the Jews.

  662. It's not just for the Jews.

  663. It's not just for the Jews, but it's of the Jews.

  664. The world's all mixed up tonight, folks.

  665. The world is all mixed up here and there.

  666. They're mixed up.

  667. God set aside the Jews like he sets aside a preacher.

  668. And God works in that preacher's life.

  669. And God does things and works him and deals with him and does this

  670. and brings him along and does this and does that so he can make

  671. truth known.

  672. Israel was set aside to show the world what God was like.

  673. How did Israel do?

  674. Absolutely perfect, right?

  675. Just like we're doing during the church age.

  676. I'm afraid the rapture is going to happen tomorrow because

  677. we've reached.

  678. I think we've reached everybody.

  679. Haven't we?

  680. God doesn't love the Jew more than he loves you.

  681. Okay, now watch.

  682. I get all mixed up.

  683. Now look what it says here.

  684. Here's the key.

  685. But the hour cometh and now is when the true worshipers shall worship

  686. the Father in spirit and in truth.

  687. There's coming.

  688. There's a big shift here.

  689. He said, waters, waters, Moses.

  690. Notice the emphasis on the inward.

  691. When you worship in spirit, it means you're worshiping in an inward

  692. way.

  693. In the Old Testament, had all these outward pictures, all these

  694. outward illustrations.

  695. You can call them types, sometimes you can call them previews.

  696. You can call them inferences, whatever.

  697. But Abraham at one time looked like God the Father.

  698. And Isaac looked like God the son of Mount Moriah.

  699. David going down the valley of Elah, taking out Goliath.

  700. He was sent by his father.

  701. He's the anointed king that's not yet ruling yet.

  702. Sound familiar?

  703. Anointed king, not yet ruling it sent by his father.

  704. Does that sound like anybody you know?

  705. For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son.

  706. He takes the sling and slings it.

  707. You remember when you guys were in that strip center and I was

  708. going to do that sling and I was a lot taller then, and I couldn't

  709. swing like this.

  710. I hit the ceiling and probably hit myself in the head.

  711. You remember that?

  712. Those are pictures of Christ.

  713. They actually happen.

  714. But the Holy Spirit Bible says these things are written for our

  715. learning.

  716. And the Bible says these things happen in 1 Corinthians 10

  717. and Romans 15, verse 4.

    Romans 15:4

  718. These things happen for us, you and I, tonight.

  719. The Jews never carried around 39.

  720. You didn't go to a home.

  721. And a Jewish family had 39 scrolls in their home.

  722. You got the whole Bible in your lap.

  723. We've only been able to do that for about 400 years.

  724. Now you have the whole Bible in your lap.

  725. We are 6,000 years of human history.

  726. We have the completed revelation of God.

  727. We have the whole Bible right here.

  728. In fact, I have more than one.

  729. And I'm not done yet.

  730. I don't mean preaching, buying Bibles.

  731. Now watch.

  732. I'm not belittling you.

  733. I'm just saying, folks, familiarity can be such a blessing

  734. and such a curse.

  735. Okay?

  736. When they quit working on the highways, thank God.

  737. When they quit working on highways, they start to look right

  738. again.

  739. They get to mess with these highways and these exit.

  740. I don't even know where I am.

  741. Familiarity is nice, but it can also hurt you very bad.

  742. Now watch.

  743. And it says here, God is spirit and they that worship him

  744. must worship him in spirit and in truth.

  745. The Old Testament pictured the outward, the physical and the temporal

  746. because it pictured the inward, the spiritual, the eternal.

  747. The New Testament, folks, there's not another Testament.

  748. Don't cut that coupon out of that little publication in the newspaper.

  749. There's not a Third Testament.

  750. Jesus Christ is the New Testament.

  751. And you cannot add to or take away from him.

  752. He's the A to Z.

  753. He's the Alpha and Omega.

  754. He's the fullness of God.

  755. Bodily dwelleth all the fullness of God in Him.

  756. Bodily.

  757. Jesus said, you've seen me, you've seen the Father, which means

  758. they are fully God.

  759. Watch that.

  760. Inward, there's a woman saith unto him, I know that Messiah cometh,

  761. which is called Christ.

  762. She's looking at him.

  763. She's looking at God.

  764. She's looking at Christ.

  765. Now, her concept of Messiah is a little off.

  766. When he has come, he will tell us all things.

  767. Notice she said, he'll tell us all things.

  768. Messiah comes.

  769. He'll tell us all things.

  770. By the way, has Messiah come?

  771. Has Messiah come?

  772. Where would we be tonight if he hadn't come?

  773. We would be anywhere.

  774. Now this.

  775. I'm sure I've preached on this before, but I'm sorry, it's just

  776. one of those things people get excited about.

  777. Our long brown piece of leather, it's got official football

  778. stamped on it.

  779. It's got a black bladder and it's full of hot air.

  780. If it's a place kicker, they let some air out.

  781. Look.

  782. Look at that egg go through the air.

  783. For the 10,000 times, some guy made a pretty good cat.

  784. Okay, this is 10,000 times more exciting.

  785. It's hard to contain myself.

  786. It's just I almost went to that stuff once, but First Corinthians

  787. 13.

  788. Don't turn there.

  789. Just when I became a man, I.

  790. And I watch.

  791. You ever heard somebody say you could hear a pin drop?

  792. That usually means if you have a straight pin, you drop it.

  793. When it hits the ground, you can actually hear it.

  794. This is so quiet.

  795. When he says what he's going to say, you can hear the pin going

  796. through the air.

  797. I think birds stopped in mid flight.

  798. What are you talking about?

  799. Look, she.

  800. I mean, by the way, does he have her attention?

  801. Oh, yeah.

  802. She is glued in.

  803. I don't know if they even had glue back there, but she's glued

  804. in.

  805. He will tell us all things.

  806. Jesus saith unto her, I that speaketh unto thee am I He?

  807. I love bottle rockets.

  808. When I was a kid, I Don't want to make sure I'm unbending over when

  809. I lit him.

  810. You remember how fast you were when you were a kid?

  811. Don't be stupid with fireworks, okay?

  812. I'm not gonna tell stories because I've been rebuked by parents.

  813. When I first got in the ministry, I told all these childhood

  814. stories.

  815. The mother said, brother Stewart, Pastor, quit telling little

  816. stories.

  817. I said, why?

  818. Our kids are going out there and doing them.

  819. I was mowing people's yards for free.

  820. I was scraping off snow on the sidewalk and stuff.

  821. I would have sometimes a firecracker or a bottle rocket where

  822. the fuse didn't quite work.

  823. And I was so quick, I could touch that punk on that little bit

  824. and jump away.

  825. She goes off like a Roman candle.

  826. Look at this.

  827. Excuse me.

  828. A Samaritan Campbell candle.

  829. Camel candle.

  830. All right.

  831. Clock.

  832. This says 5, 6, 51.

  833. That says 654.

  834. What's the joke?

  835. What's the joke?

  836. All right, here we go.

  837. I didn't touch it.

  838. I didn't touch it.

  839. Artificial intelligence.

  840. You are a beautiful clock.

  841. And upon this came his disciples and marveled that he talked.

  842. See, look at that.

  843. I love that.

  844. Because you don't realize how special this is.

  845. And they come.

  846. They, what's he doing?

  847. Hey.

  848. It was that way with Jesus.

  849. Every day you have every day was marvel.

  850. They marveled.

  851. They came and marveled that he talked with the woman.

  852. Yet no man said, what are you doing?

  853. What seekest thou?

  854. Or why talkest thou with her?

  855. They didn't say it, of course.

  856. Jesus knew what they were thinking.

  857. He was God.

  858. Many times the Bible says he knew their thoughts.

  859. The woman then left her water pot.

  860. Let's ask Johnny Pope about that one.

  861. And went her way to the city and saith to the men, come see a

  862. man which told me all things I ever did.

  863. Is not this the Christ?

  864. Then they went out of the city and came unto him.

  865. In the meanwhile, his disciples prayed him, saying, master,

  866. eat.

  867. But he said, I have meat to eat that you know not of.

  868. Now we're talking about a spiritual sustenance besides water.

  869. Therefore, said the disciples to one another, have any brought

  870. with them ought to eat.

  871. Brought.

  872. Any man brought him ought to eat.

  873. Somebody bring him something to eat before we got here.

  874. These guys are sometimes a little slow to catch on.

  875. Kind of like I was for years and probably still am more than I

  876. realize.

  877. Jesus saith to them, my meed is to do the will of him that sent

  878. me and to finish his work.

  879. Say not ye.

  880. There are yet four months and then cometh the harvest.

  881. Behold, I say unto you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields,

  882. and they are white already.

  883. To harvest.

  884. On and on it goes.

  885. And here come the Samaritans.

  886. And a bunch of them get saved.

  887. And a bunch of them come and say, well, we heard you, but we don't

  888. believe because you told us.

  889. We've come because we've seen it ourselves.

  890. There's a tremendous thing.

  891. And you keep reading.

  892. He stayed there after that.

  893. He went to Samaria.

  894. He stayed there a couple of days.

  895. It's going to be kind of fun to get to heaven to see all these

  896. Samaritans that got saved.

  897. Amen.

  898. Now, in the two or three minutes I have remaining in about

  899. 10 passages of scripture, I want you to quickly go to Deuteronomy

  900. chapter number eight.

  901. Deuteronomy, chapter number eight.

  902. I'm going to jump over this and just kind of tell you I was hoping

  903. to have time to hit all these things, but there's just no way.

  904. But I can get this across to you.

  905. I just.

  906. You have to get into this story because it's a familiar story,

  907. and I know I can get kind of silly sometimes.

  908. It's just trying to use all your emotions to key you in.

  909. And I know your ears are tired from this morning, so I just had

  910. to do everything I could.

  911. But here's what I want you to see.

  912. In Deuteronomy, chapter 8, listen to this statement.

    Deuteronomy 8 chapter mention

  913. In Deuteronomy 6, 8 and 11, you have Moses describing the promised

  914. land.

  915. Most of you know that the promised land does not picture heaven.

  916. Aren't you glad when we get to heaven, we're not going to fight

  917. people.

  918. Okay?

  919. All right.

  920. The walls of Jericho coming down, That's God tearing down strongholds

  921. in our life.

  922. It's just amazing.

  923. Corinthians, chapter 10.

  924. The word pictures are just outstanding.

  925. That promised land.

  926. This is so key pictures.

  927. The Spirit filled New Testament life.

  928. Joshua took them into the land.

  929. Moses got them to the land.

  930. Moses got them up, ready to go toward the land, per se.

  931. But Joshua got them there.

  932. They crossed the river, and they put stones in the river.

  933. And they put stones for 12 tribes on the resurrection side of

  934. the river.

  935. And they go in.

  936. It's a picture.

  937. Christ is our greater Joshua.

  938. It's laid out in Hebrews.

  939. Moses brought him this far by his life and death.

  940. Joshua pictures Christ at his resurrection and his ascension.

  941. Chapter three says in Joshua that I'm going to magnify you in

  942. the eyes of the people, so they'll follow you like they did

  943. Moses.

  944. And then chapter four, the Bible says, and God magnified Joshua

  945. the eyes of the people.

  946. Then Joshua met Christ dressed as him, the captain of the Lord's

  947. host.

  948. This is who you picture Joshua.

  949. Okay, so you and I live in the promised land.

  950. By way of analogy.

  951. That's the New Testament program.

  952. Look at Deuteronomy chapter 8.

    Deuteronomy 8 chapter mention

  953. Look what it says here.

  954. Alright, did I give you enough time to find it?

  955. I forgot to turn there myself.

  956. Beautiful clock.

  957. This is a really sharp clock.

  958. Okay, now look down here.

  959. Look at verse number 7, Deuteronomy 8, 7.

  960. The reason I'm choosing this one, because all three describe them,

  961. but this one has some special wording.

  962. For the Lord thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of

  963. brooks of water.

  964. And that's good.

  965. Brooks of water, that's wonderful.

  966. Brooks of water are nice.

  967. And of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills.

  968. Other words, you got wells in the promised land that literally.

  969. Artesian wells.

  970. Now he's going to tell them you have wells that you did not dig.

  971. There's wells that you did not dig.

  972. They're there, they're yours.

  973. And thank God that God meets our physical needs.

  974. Amen.

  975. I mean, you can tell that I'm a little bit challenged on physical

  976. needs, but I'm, you know, I wore this coat because I think it

  977. makes me look like I got a little bit more bodily structure.

  978. If I turn sideways, can you even see me?

  979. Okay, he takes care of our physical needs.

  980. But there's spiritual wells.

  981. If it's coming up out of the ground, it's coming up deeply.

  982. You don't have pressure with this side of the surface.

  983. These are deep wells.

  984. They're deep wells.

  985. The Holy Spirit comes inside of you to live.

  986. You are a temple.

  987. Turn to John.

  988. Well, I'll tell you what.

  989. Well, let's go ahead and turn.

  990. Turn to John chapter seven.

  991. I got to shut this down.

  992. We're getting to where I'm.

  993. There's a lot of other verses.

  994. Look at John chapter seven.

  995. He said, well, what is this talk about exactly?

  996. John chapter seven.

  997. Jesus is speaking here.

  998. Look at verse number 37.

  999. So he's talking about this water.

1000. We're in the promised land, we're telling you.

1001. And there's these artesian wells and this is the New Testament

  1002. program.

  1003. It's a spirit filled life.

1004. Christ said, I came to give you water, living water.

1005. He says that in other places.

  1006. In the gospel.

1007. John chapter 6, I think verse 35, he says that.

    John 6 chapter mention

1008. Look at John chapter 7, look what it says.

    John 7 chapter mention

1009. Here in the last day, that great day, the feast.

1010. This is a particular feast where water was abundant.

1011. Here and there Jesus stood and whispered, pulled a few people aside

1012. and cried, saying, if any man thirst, let him come unto me and

  1013. drink.

1014. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said Old Testament

  1015. prophecies.

1016. I'll have you turn there and I'll shut this down.

1017. Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

  1018. Say wow.

1019. Out of his belly, his inward parts inward.

  1020. Spirit and truth.

  1021. Deep, deep.

1022. The deepest well in the world is your heart.

1023. The Holy Spirit came inside there to live.

  1024. He lives within.

  1025. Amen.

1026. Now listen, we've heard all this.

1027. This is why we have these stories.

1028. Because there's something about stories.

1029. It's something about the human element.

1030. And we look at it, we back up and think again, and we start really

  1031. thinking about God's word.

1032. Isaiah 12, write that down.

1033. Prophesying about the New Testament, Isaiah said, you shall

1034. draw water and out of the wells of salvation.

1035. The Holy Spirit's full of blessings.

1036. You shall draw water out of the wells of salvation.

1037. Now, as I wrap this up, there were hand dug wells, there were cisterns.

  1038. Cisterns.

  1039. They would build cisterns.

1040. Jeremiah talks about how the Jews in a backslidden state were

1041. not coming to God for the living water they had.

1042. Okay, and he's talking about the future also.

  1043. But, but he also.

1044. And he says, but you've got cisterns.

1045. You've got these little things you've carved out so when it rains,

1046. you save some rain water.

1047. Can I tell you, today too many Christians are drinking from cisterns

  1048. rainwater.

1049. And they leak and they're broken.

1050. I mean, God sends rain and thank God, God sends physical blessings.

  1051. Amen.

1052. Cause we are still physical.

  1053. Amen.

1054. But brethren, We are a heavenly people still on this earth.

1055. And we can get so heavenly minded.

1056. We're no of earthly good, but most of the time we're too earthly

1057. minded because we're no heavenly good.

1058. And we have to work.

1059. There's a lot of demands put on us.

1060. And we have all kinds of things come across our path that

  1061. get us off track.

1062. But thank God, if we get over being dizzy, we get over being this.

1063. And that's why you just back up and say, okay, where am I?

1064. You have the Holy Spirit living inside of you and you got

1065. the joy, joy, joy, joy.

  1066. Doubt in your heart.

1067. It was easy to see as a little kid because I wanted to get into

  1068. spanking.

1069. I was usually pretty happy.

1070. We had a little corner grocery store and you could buy candy bars

1071. this big for a nickel.

1072. You can get a pop for a nickel.

1073. Then it was 8 cents.

1074. Then it was 10 cents.

1075. If you could find a bottle, you could trade it in for a pop.

1076. I was in and out of the dentist chair constantly because

1077. you could find candy nickels everywhere.

1078. I mean, it was happy.

1079. In spite of a lot of things going in my life, I could find a

1080. lot of things to be happy about.

  1081. Brethren, we're adults.

  1082. We're adults.

  1083. Amen.

1084. Sisters aren't going to get it done.

1085. A little electric rain, three quick things, practical.

  1086. There's a radio station called 103.3.

  1087. I don't work for them.

1088. I have prayed for years.

1089. Brother Webby and I almost tried to start a radio station for

  1090. a while.

1091. We were just playing nothing but good, solid Christian music.

1092. Lyrics are more important than anything else.

1093. And we were going to play this music and have it on so people could

1094. just turn on whatever whatever.

1095. But 103.3, it's got some preaching on there.

1096. But like Tonight, tonight at 8:30, this woman plays these old

  1097. hymns, I think from 6:30, from 5:30 to 6:30.

1098. When you're driving home and smiling as you drive down these roads,

1099. I35 coming into 8:20 will never be good till the millennial

  1100. kingdom.

1101. And this stop sign out at you guys out here on bond.

  1102. We sat there.

1103. Was it this morning or tonight?

  1104. We sat.

  1105. There was nobody coming.

1106. I thought the Rapture had happened.

  1107. And it's still red.

  1108. Both directions green.

  1109. Nobody coming.

1110. I was going, oh, well, I'm calm.

  1111. It doesn't bother me.

1112. What I'm saying to you is, you need.

1113. We heard in Sunday School Colossians 3, a spirit filled life

1114. is singing to himself in psalms and hymns.

1115. I sing all the time.

  1116. That's my wife.

1117. She shuts the door and puts cotton in your ears.

  1118. No, we're traveling.

  1119. We start singing.

  1120. You gotta sing.

1121. You gotta get the good music.

1122. You just gotta surround you.

1123. Our world is so caustic.

1124. It's so cynical, so critical.

1125. You got to meditate on the Lord to use music.

1126. We talked about that this morning.

  1127. Music.

1128. The devil's taken music and practically ruined our nation.

1129. Somebody said, I don't care who writes the laws.

1130. Let me write the music.

1131. Let me make the music, and I'll control that country, that nation.

1132. We have wonderful heritage of hymns, and there's good songs being

  1133. written.

1134. You need to have music, good music playing in your house.

  1135. Amen.

  1136. Am I right?

1137. You go look at Ephesians.

1138. It keeps your mind on the Lord.

1139. And I tell you what, when I find a good hymn and I get a hymnal,

1140. they're taking a verse out that bothers me, okay?

1141. Number two, you've got to stay in church.

1142. You got to stay in church.

1143. This is the church age you have.

1144. You don't come to church so God will be happy with you.

1145. Number one, you need each other evermore.

1146. So as you see the day approaching, I don't need to say

  1147. this, and I.

1148. Man, I tell you what, I. Folks, I just honestly, when I stand

1149. here, I go all the way back when this thing started, I go all

1150. the way to the future of the rapture.

1151. This is, this is a fantastic church.

1152. I'm telling you, look at the flags.

1153. God has done so much to this church.

  1154. He's.

1155. I mean, just all kinds of things.

1156. And the church is people.

1157. Some of your most loved people, friends of me.

  1158. They're in heaven in a sense, God's God.

1159. But would they be there?

1160. You got to be here.

  1161. Amen.

1162. You need the fellowship, the holy.

1163. This is the Holy Spirit's temple.

  1164. You're a temple.

1165. The church is a temple.

1166. Come and expect and pray.

1167. God's blessings are just around the corner.

  1168. Amen.

1169. We know how life goes.

  1170. Church.

1171. This is the church age.

  1172. Stay in the boat.

1173. Come and be a blessing.

1174. If you come to be a blessing, you'll go home blessed.

1175. If you come to be blessed, It'll be a 50, 50 shot because everybody

1176. will shake their hands but me.

1177. And I did it by accident.

  1178. I didn't mean I would have shaken.

1179. I would have shaken your hands, young man.

1180. If you'd come up to me, he says, whoop de do, am I right?

  1181. I tell you, tired.

1182. I get up at five o' clock and I talk very slow and gently for five

  1183. hours.

1184. I come home being 39 plus now, I was not a nap taker.

1185. I take naps on the way home.

1186. Driving, I get home, whatever, and sometimes about.

1187. If I'm not preaching, I'm not wired up.

1188. About six o' clock we head out the door and I get in there and you

  1189. know what?

  1190. I'm glad I'm there.

1191. I got people there that love me.

1192. There's only a few, but I got a few people that love me.

1193. Don't you love each other?

1194. I'm not coming down here as your parent.

1195. I'm just telling you folks, this has been one of the greatest

  1196. churches I've ever known.

  1197. It really has, brother.

1198. You've been around the block a few times.

1199. I've been in a lot of churches and I'M not saying this tonight because

  1200. I'm insincere.

  1201. You need each other.

  1202. Love each other.

  1203. Amen.

1204. We got all of heaven.

1205. And thirdly, you got to get in the Bible tablet works for me.

1206. As soon as I wake up, the King of Sodom is on one side of the bed

1207. and the King of Salem's over here.

1208. I tell him, get out of here.

  1209. I don't want.

  1210. I don't want a shoe.

  1211. I don't want a shoestring.

  1212. I don't want to latch it.

1213. And my first thoughts, I look up Psalm 5.

  1214. I look up and I read a psalm.

1215. I've been studying Psalm 5 over and over now for over a month.

1216. I've read them through so many times now.

1217. I just stay in, camp out.

  1218. I look up phrases.

1219. My king, my cry, my this, my that.

  1220. Oh, he says this.

  1221. I read and meditate.

1222. So it's inside of me.

1223. And I try to stay in touch with God all day.

  1224. The flow.

  1225. The flow.

  1226. The river.

1227. The Holy Spirit's inside of you.

1228. And you know what I close with this.

  1229. The joy.

  1230. Joy, joy.

  1231. Fruit of the Spirit.

  1232. The product, Love.

  1233. Joy.

  1234. Longsuffering.

1235. That's putting up with people.

  1236. Long suffering.

  1237. That's that.

  1238. Patience.

1239. Love, joy, long suffering, meekness, et cetera.

  1240. Temperance.

1241. Folks, we have all we need.

  1242. Romans chapter six.

1243. You got a brand new standing, you're in Christ.

  1244. Romans chapter 7.

    Romans 7 chapter mention

1245. You got a brand new state.

1246. You got a new nature.

  1247. Romans chapter 8.

    Romans 8 chapter mention

1248. You have the Holy Spirit.

1249. A spring, a strength, a source living inside of you.

1250. We got everything we need.

1251. We just can't go sucking water out of cisterns and thank God for

  1252. hand dug wells.

1253. But that's not enough for us.

1254. We need that inner strength.

  1255. Amen.

  1256. Find out a way.

  1257. Start with Psalm 27.

1258. The Lord is my light, my salvation.

  1259. Whom shall I fear?

1260. The Lord is the strength of my life.

  1261. Light Ridge.

  1262. Darkness reveals details.

  1263. It's a reference point.

1264. It raises attention and it radiates life.

1265. The Lord is my light.

  1266. Amen.

  1267. Amen.

  1268. Let's all stand.

1269. I'm going to encourage you to come pray tonight for your church.

  1270. Pray for yourself.

1271. Pray that God will give you a hunger, a thirst for the righteous

  1272. God.

1273. I don't want to get into the Bible so you don't feel guilty.

1274. I just wanted you to see again what we've got.

  1275. What we got.

1276. And listen, it is so much better than what I could say.

  1277. I've done everything.

  1278. I've been silly.

1279. I've thrown things at you.

1280. I just asked the Lord to lead something.

1281. Come upon my mind, I'd say no, don't say that.

1282. Yeah, I'm going to say that.

1283. Folks, listen to 103.3 and you go home tonight, you'll hear some

  1284. good music.

1285. Say, I don't like that kind of music.

1286. You will if you listen to it long enough.

1287. Thank God for we finally got a Christian station here.

  1288. They're not old hymns.

  1289. They're hymns.

  1290. The New Testament.

  1291. 2000 years old.

  1292. It's not old.

  1293. It can't get old.

1294. Bow your head, please, and just pray where you are and just

1295. ask the Lord to get you in the book and get some music going.

1296. Maybe you got your own music at home you can listen to.

1297. Go to the Internet and download a station where you have

  1298. that stuff.

1299. Your house is your haven.

1300. Make it spiritual instead of interior decorating.

  1301. Deuteronomy 6.

  1302. Superior decorating.

1303. Your house is your haven.

  1304. And don't miss church.

  1305. Brother.

  1306. Brother.
