Amen. God is good. Amen. We're going to be coming
-
out of Matthew chapter 7. Amen. Amen. We're going to
Matthew 7 chapter mention
-
come out of Matthew chapter 7. We're going to start
Matthew 7 chapter mention
-
at verse 13. But let us go to the throne
-
of grace. Father God, we come once more again in
-
the name of Jesus. We come, God, to hear a
-
word from you today. Amen. We didn't come for no shape, form,
-
or fashion. But we came, God, because we need you.
-
We came, God, because we have to have you. We came, God,
-
because we can't do it without you. We need you, Lord,
-
in our lives always. And we know that you said
-
that you should never leave us nor forsake us. We
-
know and we understand that the leaving is on our side.
-
But help us to stay, Holy Spirit. Help us to
-
hold on to that true faith. true God of heaven.
-
There is no other God besides him. There never will
-
be any other God besides him. We believe upon him.
-
Our faith is in him, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
-
And we give all to him today as we do
-
every day in the name of Jesus. Help us, Lord.
-
Lead us. Guide us. We'll follow. When we fall short,
-
help us to get up. Help us to brush ourselves off.
-
And we just thank you for your divine covering and
-
your divine covering, your divine word and your divine help
-
in our lives. Then as your word goes forth, use me, Lord,
-
as your servant. It is an honor to be a
-
servant of the Lord. And I thank you, Lord, that
-
you allow me to be that. And I ask that
-
you cover the people and open up their ears and
-
eyes that they may come to know what you're speaking
-
directly to them. and collectively to each and every one
-
of us. In Jesus' holy name, we ask you bind
-
that spirit of the enemy, cast it out of this place,
-
fill it with your Holy Spirit where there's no room
-
for any evil to get in, and fill these temples
-
that stand here today, God, with your spirit running over.
-
In Jesus' name, and the church said thank God. Amen
-
and amen. Amen. Thank you, Jesus. I was prompted by God, amen,
-
because of the things that I see. And God shows
-
us things for a reason, amen. There's a narrow way
-
and there's a broad way. I don't mean broad way
-
like Hollywood either. I mean broad, meaning wide, amen. Amen.
-
But there's also a narrow way. But we, in this society,
-
believe that there's many ways. The Bible only speaks of
-
two ways. I heard that woman called Oprah Winfrey tell
-
her whole audience that there were many ways to get
-
to Jesus, to get to God. But there's not many ways.
-
There's only two ways. And one of those ways ain't
-
going to get you to him. There's only one way
-
to get to him. Not many ways. But looking at
-
society today, I was looking for something to give to
-
the people that was compatible to the understanding of the day.
-
And the Lord... Show me in my spirit what is
-
compatible today. I'll tell you what is compatible today and
-
what God showed me. God's will. That's what's compatible. But
-
there are many who believe that God's will is their
-
will and that God is pleased with what they're doing
-
outside of what God told them to do. Truly, that's error. Amen?
-
But we're living in a time where denomination, which has
-
always been dangerous because it's divided and it's division, and
-
denomination is not of God. Amen, somebody? Amen, somebody? It's
-
not of God. Denomination teaches, different denominations teach different things.
-
They have denominational... and different denominations. We believe in blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
-
You hear him say that.
-
And we believe in blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But
-
all of us should believe in one thing. We should
-
believe in him, Jesus Christ.
-
There is no, and I do mean no, denomination in
-
the New Testament. Since everybody wants to believe in the
-
New Testament, there's no denomination in it. So, in saying
-
all of that, there's only one authority in religion if
-
we want to please God. There's only one authority. Not
-
many authorities. Because, see, denominational teaching... teaches that there are
-
many authorities in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Well, our
-
pastor said, well, the bishop told me, where the Bible
-
said that the preacher said, the apostle of our church said,
-
what Jesus said. Because whatever Jesus said is what's true.
-
Are you hearing me? Jesus is the only authority. They
-
don't have an authority. How can they be the authority
-
when the Bible tells us that all that's in authority,
-
God put them in authority? If you're already in authority,
-
why somebody got to put you there? The authority put
-
you there to minister his authority, not yours. So I
-
was moved with this because it's sad and dangerous that
-
there are many in the world today believing that they're
-
doing the will of God. Many preachers, now there's a
-
whole lot of them joking behind that pulpit. They know
-
they ain't doing God's will. They doing their own will
-
for their own selfish desires and their own account. But
-
there are those preachers that are believing because of what
-
they've been taught in denominational that they're doing the will
-
of God. The Jehovah Witness believe they're doing the will
-
of Jehovah, but they're not because they're a cult. And
-
all these denominations believe they're doing the will of God
-
by the teaching that they're getting from denominational teaching, but
-
they're a cult. Amen, somebody? See, this is hard stuff
-
right here. Because you will believe that because they're standing
-
in behind this podium in a Baptist church, in a
-
church of God in Christ. Well, the Catholic is totally
-
demonic anyway. From the beginning. Teaching these things, reading from
-
this Bible, and because you're not studying and showing yourself approved,
-
it sounds like God. I was out of town last Sunday.
-
I wasn't here. And I was ministering to some family members.
-
We was all over to my auntie's house after the, we, maybe,
-
was that before or after? That I was ministering to
-
my cousin. After we had the memorial celebration for my grandmother.
-
And we got, we was already talking about the Lord.
-
And then my cousin and his fiance came in. And
-
they was talking about they getting married. And I said,
-
and y'all live together? And he said, yeah. I said, okay.
-
So we ministering. He's asking. He belongs to the church
-
that we went to that Sunday morning. That's the church
-
he belonged to. And he was in counseling with the pastor.
-
You hear me? He was in marriage counseling. That's going
-
to take six weeks. Do you need six weeks for
-
me to tell you something about marriage? So I began
-
to minister to him because he asked. And my brother
-
was ministering to him as well. And to make a
-
long story short, when he began to talk, I said,
-
you're getting the wrong counsel. I said, you're getting the
-
wrong counsel. I said, it's one way that I know
-
that you're really getting the wrong counsel. Because the one
-
thing I didn't hear you say. about your counseling session.
-
But anyway, as we was going forth in the counseling session,
-
I asked him, did he love God? And I asked her,
-
she said, yeah. I said, do you really love him?
-
Y'all know how I do. I want to get deep
-
in your heart. Do you really love him? She said, yeah.
-
I said, do you really love him? He said, yeah.
-
I said, then I hit him. No, you don't. They
-
was like, I said, no, you don't. He said, yeah,
-
we do. I said, you sleep with her? He said, yeah.
-
He said, yeah. I said, no, you don't. See, if
-
you loved him, you wouldn't be committing fornication. If you
-
loved him, you would keep his commandments. And then he
-
was like, whoa. I mean, he actually did that. He said, whoa.
-
You know why? Because he didn't understand that he wasn't
-
really serving God. He thought he was. And then let
-
me go and hit you with the rest of it.
-
His pastor in his session, he told him, because she
-
gets mad because he sleeps on the couch, because he
-
feels condemned. He said that when he sleeps with her. Oh,
-
he's really seeking God. He really is. And then I
-
went on to help him out a little bit. I said,
-
you really do love him, but not like you should.
-
And so I began to tell him, well, he began
-
to convey to me that The pastor told him, he said, well,
-
y'all well past all that. You might as well just
-
keep sleeping with her. I said, oh, so the pastor
-
told you just keep sinning when no man know the
-
day of the hour. So that's what he told her.
-
He said, y'all past all that because she pregnant. She pregnant.
-
She had the baby yet, but she pregnant. So he said, well,
-
you might as well keep sleeping with her because y'all
-
past all that. So he told him, you might as
-
well keep sinning. And this was later on because he
-
stopped me at the door because I was really getting
-
ready to leave and held me there for about 40
-
minutes to an hour, still concerned about his salvation. And
-
then he revealed that to me. I said, oh, didn't
-
I tell you earlier? I knew what God was telling me.
-
You're getting the wrong counselor. I kept saying that when
-
we was in there talking, all of us. I said,
-
you're getting the wrong counselor. I said, first of all,
-
if you had come to me for counseling and I
-
knew all of this, I would have told you, somebody
-
going to have to go. Somebody got to go. You're
-
still sleeping in the bed with her. But you feel
-
the presence of God because you're feeling condemned. That's why
-
you're leaving the bedroom to sleep on the couch. But
-
the pastor told him... Just keep on doing it. Y'all
-
passed all that. Wrong counsel. You see, there are those
-
because of wrong teaching and understanding believing they're doing the
-
will of God and they're not. Believing they're in right
-
standards with God but they're not. Believing that they love
-
God with their whole heart but they don't. I say
-
what you got for God is a filial love, not agape. See,
-
agape love says no matter what But a filial says, well,
-
there's a condition on this thing. Yeah. So in saying
-
all that, I ain't even read scripture yet. There's a
-
narrow way and there's a broad way. And if you
-
don't get it together, the broad way will be your path.
-
But when you got it together, the narrow way would
-
be your path. You see, nobody wants to go the
-
narrow way. It's too troubling. It's too narrow. Can't sit
-
through here. But the irony of it is this. I
-
don't care how big you are. If you're going down
-
the narrow way, your big old butt don't slide through there.
-
God gonna grease up the wall so you can slide
-
on through. You hear what I'm saying? He'll grease them
-
walls up. You're 600 pounds. You're going to grease. You're
-
going to slide on through there. But the broad way,
-
you're going to flop and flip. Ain't nothing to stop you.
-
God says in verse 13 of chapter 7 of Matthews,
-
I got to read some of this because, you know,
-
you got people that they're hooked on programming. Amen. They're
-
hooked on programming and tradition and custom. So you got
-
to read the scripture for the scholars. Amen. He ain't
-
even read no scripture this morning. I told you all
-
about the scripture. You weren't paying attention because I didn't
-
do what your custom and tradition want me to do.
-
Enter you in there at the straight gate. This is
-
the door. The straight gate is Jesus Christ. For wide
-
is the gate and broad is the way that leads
-
to destruction. And many there be which go in their act. Many.
-
Because straight is the gate and narrow is the way
-
which leads into life. And few there be that find it.
-
Beware of false prophets. which come to you in sheep's clothing,
-
but inwardly they are raving wolves. So they look like
-
a sheep, but on the inside they're a wolf. So
-
that's why you got to be spiritual. That's why you
-
got to be prayed up. That's why you got to
-
be scripturally read and understood so that you can see
-
right through the sheep's clothing if it's a wolf on
-
the other side. You should know them by the fruits.
-
Do men gather grapes? of thorns, of figs, of thistles.
-
In other words, it's impossible for a false prophet or
-
teacher of doctrine to bring forth good fruit. It's impossible
-
because they're false. Even so, every good tree brings forth
-
good fruit. Every good tree brings forth good fruit. But
-
a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit. See, a good
-
tree brings forth Christ-likeness. A corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit, self-likeness.
-
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can
-
a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Can't happen. Impossible.
-
Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hen
-
down and cast into the fire. In other words, the
-
ultimate judgment comes against them and against that gospel and
-
doctrine that they're ministering to you. Wherefore, by their fruits
-
ye shall know them. You're going to know them by
-
their fruits. Now, not everyone who says unto me, Lord, Lord. See,
-
that Lord, Lord part right there, that's a plead. That's
-
somebody pleading. Yes. shall enter into the kingdom of heaven.
-
But he who does the will of my Father, which
-
is in heaven, many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord,
-
it's a plea. Have we not prophesied? Now look here,
-
these people weren't bad. These people weren't believed to be
-
bad people. They just wasn't doing the will of God.
-
They believed that they were, but they weren't. Have I
-
not prophesied in your name? And in your name have
-
cast out devils. They're asking a question. And in your
-
name done many wonderful works. But those things that they're
-
mentioning are not the criteria for the will of God
-
and for the will of following Jesus Christ. Amen? But
-
rather faith in Christ and what Christ has done. You
-
can't be... Boastful, did not cast out. I did those things.
-
Those ain't the criteria. That's not the criteria God's calling on.
-
And then, will I profess unto them, I never knew you.
-
Depart from me, you who were iniquity. My God, that
-
right there. It's something don't nobody in this house want
-
to hear. Nobody wants to. You know what's happening right there?
-
When Jesus is telling them, depart from me, you workers
-
of iniquity, he's denying them. And the reason why he's
-
denying them, because they denied him. That's why they've been denied.
-
Because they denied him. Amen? So, I was prone to
-
this because, and I'm going to be quick as God
-
allowed me to be with the rest of this. I
-
just want to drop that in your spirit because, again,
-
I say, we're living in a hairy up world. And
-
our focus is here and here and here and here
-
and here everywhere because so many things are pulling on
-
our focus. But we got to stay focused on doing
-
God's will no matter what everybody else is doing. So
-
many Christians want to do what everybody else is doing
-
because of what's coming and what's already here and what's
-
about to come. Amen? So it's really a fearful act
-
and not a faithful act. So Well, maybe I should
-
believe this. That's how I was about right right there.
-
It's okay to go to visit other churches. And some
-
leave and go to other churches. And some leave and
-
go to other churches because they can't hold on to
-
what is true. And some go to other churches. I
-
heard a man say, basically, I'm not comfortable here because
-
the truth was going forth. He wanted to go somewhere
-
where his children can play and where he can be
-
comfortable and his wife can be comfortable. They don't want
-
to hear that. If you don't follow Christ, you're going
-
to hell. What do you want to church for if
-
you don't want to follow Christ? That's the whole purpose
-
of coming. I'm confused. Yeah, watch TV. And that's what
-
most people believe also. I'm glad she brought that up.
-
Most folks believe they don't have to come up in here.
-
I ministered to a young lady when I was waiting
-
on my rental car one time, and she was talking about,
-
I ain't got to go to church. I don't go
-
to church because of this, because of that, because of this.
-
And I was like, yeah, well, you know, it's a
-
commandment that you go to church. And well, I don't know.
-
I said, I read it to her. I said, I'm
-
going to tell you about it. I'm going to show
-
it to you, and I'm going to read it to you,
-
but you still ain't going to adhere to it. I
-
already see it because you're comfortable in what you're doing.
-
You're comfortable. I don't want to go because this one
-
and that one I said, so you just let folk
-
run you away from places. No. And then when you
-
say stuff like that, now you're dealing, you know, you're
-
dealing with a pride now. No, ain't nobody running me.
-
Not really recognizing, oh, yeah, there they are. That's why
-
you ain't there, because you just said so. But we
-
have to understand, so I stay home and I watch TV.
-
How you know the televangelist is really giving you the
-
word of God? How you know what he's really teaching
-
you is really God. She said, I can learn the
-
Bible on my own. I said, really? I said, but
-
what kind of Bible you got? Because my Bible said
-
the Holy Ghost will teach you all things. If you
-
can learn it on your own. See, I was knocking
-
her block off in that parking lot. By the help
-
of the Lord. Where it got to a point, she
-
wanted to leave it alone. And that's what happens when
-
people go to certain ministries. They ain't comfortable. There's two uncomforts, though. One,
-
if you in the church, they ain't doing what God
-
say do. One, you in the church, they do say
-
God say do, and you don't want to do that.
-
So the Bible must be our only authority in religion
-
if we want to please God and go to heaven
-
and go to heaven. We do want to please God,
-
don't we? So we must give up all the various
-
false doctrines that propagate the many different kinds of denominations.
-
What does that mean? That means that reproduce are caused
-
to produce are the cause to spread the wrong doctrines.
-
And go back to only the Bible. There were no
-
denominations in the New Testament. There was no denomination in
-
the New Testament times and there would be none today
-
if only the Bible was taught and practiced. Because not
-
only the Bible is taught and practiced, we got all
-
these denominations. There will be only the Lord's one true church,
-
the church of Christ. That's all it would be, but
-
it's not. There's many different named so-called churches and many
-
different At the bottom of the sign in many churches,
-
it says founder, doctor, MMD, whatever the initials they use,
-
bachelor's degree and all that stuff, pumping their own self up. Founder. No,
-
Jesus Christ founded the church. That's what it should say. Founder,
-
Jesus Christ. So the question is, how do we make
-
sure that we are among the few who are saved
-
and not among the many who are lost? How do
-
you make sure of that? Well, Jesus, in the book
-
of Matthew, chapter 7, 22-23, tells us. He says, not
Matthew 7 chapter mention
-
everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the
-
kingdom of heaven. Now, here we go. But he who
-
does the will of my Father. There you go. That's
-
how you're going to make sure you're saved and not
-
among the lost. By doing the will of the Father
-
in heaven. Many will say to me in that day
-
with a plead, Lord, Lord. Have we not prophesied in
-
your name and cast out demons in your name? And
-
there are many wonders in your name. And then I
-
would declare to them, I never knew you. The part,
-
not only did I never knew you, he didn't just
-
say I never knew you, he said you get on
-
the way. I don't want Jesus to tell me to
-
get away. That would hurt my feelings. That would hurt
-
my soul. Not my feelings, my soul. To the marrow
-
of my bone. I'll fall apart. My skin will probably
-
come off my bones. Amen. He said, depart from me.
-
I never knew you. He said, depart. Never knew you.
-
Depart from me. And then he going to call me out.
-
You who practice iniquity. If you believe and call Jesus Lord, Lord,
-
you are still lost if you do not do what
-
God says. You call him Lord, Lord all you want to.
-
You call him Jesus, I love you. But if you
-
don't do his will, you're lost. If we are not
-
obeying God, we are practicing lawlessness. If we ever hope
-
to go to heaven, we must do the will of
-
the Father. If we ever hope to go to heaven
-
by the hope of glory, we must do the will
-
of God, the Father. This is the only way, not
-
the will of men, But God's will, not the will
-
of your own will, but God's will. You see, just
-
because we call Jesus our Lord, this will not save us.
-
Jesus says in the in the scripture that I just
-
read to you that on the day of judgment that
-
many will be pleading with him. calling him Lord, Lord,
-
and reminding him of many wonderful works that they had
-
done in his name. But he was saying to them,
-
I never knew you, depart from me, you who practice
-
and work lawlessness, you who are workers of iniquity. Why?
-
I told you earlier in Sunday school, there's always a why. Why?
-
You got to know why. That's what it said. You
-
got to know why. Because they had not done the
-
will of the Father. That's why. He told them to depart.
-
They had not done the will of the Father in heaven. Oh,
-
they thought they had. But they hadn't. They were not prophesied.
-
They thought they did it. They would do wonderful works.
-
They thought they did it. They would cast out demons.
-
They thought they did it, but they hadn't. But they
-
hadn't done his will. They had done their own will.
-
Or the will of some other man. See, that's what
-
we do. My pastor told me to, what did God
-
tell you? My pastor told me to come and tell you,
-
what did God tell you? Did God lead you to
-
tell me that? Because guess what? It ain't true. So
-
it must have been the pastor, not God. We have
-
to do the will of God, not the will of man.
-
A lady told me in the church where the pastor,
-
she was getting married. She kept talking about what the
-
pastor said. I said, what did God say? What did
-
God say about you marrying this man? Little did she
-
know the man was a homosexual. I kept saying, what
-
did God say? I couldn't tell her, but I kept saying,
-
what did God say? Then she married the man. She
-
wasn't married that long. They ain't married now. What did
-
God say? Nobody care what a man said unless he
-
said what God said. What did God say? Because if
-
God didn't say it, you're going to hear I never
-
knew you. You see, the never knew you will be
-
the worst thing that will ever be said to any individual.
-
When the Lord on judgment day says to the majority
-
of people, not a little few, but the majority of people, depart.
-
I never knew you. There will be no appeal. There
-
will be no appeal to that decision. You can appeal
-
anybody's decision just about, but not God. You can't appeal
-
God's decision. And there will be no second chance. You know,
-
there's a reason why there won't be a second chance,
-
because God gave you every chance in the world. He
-
makes sure of that. He makes very sure that you
-
get every chance in the world. Because you don't take them,
-
that ain't his problem. It's like the man out in
-
the water in the flood, in the boat that's sinking.
-
And the boat came, and he's asking God to save him.
-
And the boat come by and said, man, get in
-
the boat. We're heading on down. He said, no, I'm
-
waiting on the Lord. Then the second boat come by,
-
and he said, man, come on. I don't think there's
-
nobody else coming this way. He said, no, I'm waiting
-
on the Lord. And the third boat comes by, and
-
he does the same thing. And then he passes away
-
out there on the waters, but he goes to heaven.
-
He said, Lord, where were you? I was looking for you.
-
He said, man, I came back three times. Why didn't
-
you get in the boat? See, sometimes we think we're
-
doing the will of God, but we're not. The will
-
of God was he got in the first boat. God
-
sent the boat, man. So you ain't going to have
-
no appeal when God makes his decision and judgment, and
-
you won't get a second chance. We have to get
-
it right the first time. This time, right now, as
-
we breathe and live. Because the people in the scripture,
-
they seem to be honest that we read about the
-
ones that prophesied and cast out demons. But they were
-
honestly mistaken. As the majority of people are today. They're
-
honestly mistaken. Apparently they were good people. Cast out demons.
-
Preached in his name. Did wonderful works in his name.
-
They weren't doing no bad stuff. Except they weren't doing
-
his will. They weren't doing his will. So they were
-
mistakenly doing the wrong thing. Because they had not done
-
the will of God. But because they had done many
-
wonders of works, but they had not done the will
-
of the Father, which is in heaven. Many generally won't
-
To do things in their own way. And many really
-
don't care what God think about it. We cannot obey
-
God without doing what God says to do. You listen.
-
You can't obey God by doing what a man tell
-
you to do, your mama tell you to do. When
-
it's concerning obeying God now, okay? You obey your mama,
-
your father, and you obey people. But I'm saying when
-
it comes to a man telling you how to obey
-
God and your mama and daddy, if they ain't telling
-
you how to do this word right here and they
-
just telling you what they think is a good thing
-
for you, whatsoever man, the Bible says not whatsoever man think,
-
but the Bible says there's a way that seems right
-
to a man, but therefore other ways of death. There's
-
a way, a way, a way that seems right. It's
-
a way that seems right. But that way leads to death.
-
There's only one way that is right. This way don't
-
seem right. It is right. And that's God's way. It
-
is right. It don't seem right. It is right. Amen. Amen.
-
So we cannot obey God without doing what God says
-
to do. When God says to do it, how God
-
says to do it, and for the reason God says
-
to do it, we must obey, no matter what it is.
-
It might not seem right to us, but if God
-
said do it, it's right. I said it might not
-
seem right to us. I didn't think it seemed right
-
to me. I was sitting right there. In another building
-
of the church on the third row. Wasn't here. It
-
was another building. I was sitting right there on the end.
-
While the singing group was singing. I don't call them
-
a choir. They were heathens. And they were singing. And
-
it was microphones here, here, here, and here. God pointed
-
to this mic right here. And told me to take
-
it to the piano player over there so they could
-
hear him sing. It ain't seem right to me. I
-
ain't getting up in the middle of the service. I
-
look like walking up there grabbing a microphone and walking
-
over there. Didn't seem right. But it was right. Because
-
God told me to do it. But he's a God
-
of a second chance. You know what happened? I'm going
-
to tell you what happened. I told you what happened before.
-
I'm going to tell you again. A heathen came out
-
of the choir stand. I didn't say the choir. I
-
said the choir stand. Grabbed as many mics. He grabbed
-
the very mic God told me to get. You know
-
what he did with the mic? Walked over there to
-
the piano player. And I sat there and was like.
-
But God's a God of second chance. And after they
-
did what they did and they sung another song, God
-
said it again. I got up so fast I didn't
-
remember saying that. God's will. And I'm going to tell you,
-
I can't stop right there. But when God tells you
-
to do something, there's something behind it. There was a
-
man in the building who was sitting in the back
-
by the wall. It was far away. He was 72
-
years old. When I took that mic over there and
-
they could hear the piano player singing, that man was
-
72 years old, on a cane, got up, walked to
-
the front of the church, and ask God to be
-
his Lord and Savior. It might not make sense to you,
-
but if God said it, do his will. Do his will. Amen?
-
Do his will. Because nothing is more important than pleasing
-
God by doing his will so that we can go
-
to heaven. Ain't nothing more important in this life. The
-
movies is nice. Amen. Going out of town is nice.
-
Going to the fair is nice. Going to the circus
-
is nice. Going to other countries is nice. But ain't
-
nothing greater than going to heaven. Ain't nothing greater than
-
going to heaven. And all those things I said pleases you.
-
But doing God's will pleases him so you can go
-
to heaven, which is the ultimate place to go. And
-
guess what? It's not a vacation. It's permanent. So we
-
have to learn from the scriptures that's been exposed to
-
us in this service that we don't go to heaven
-
by doing the will of men or by doing what
-
we think is right. The only way we can go
-
to heaven is by doing the will of the Father
-
and that the will be found right in our Bibles. See,
-
that will is found right in our Bibles. This is
-
the will of God. It ain't in a man unless
-
he got it out of here. Our woman, but the
-
will is the Bible. Do we really know what the
-
will of the Father is so that we can be sure? See,
-
you got to be sure of going to heaven. Because
-
you know what? This is too important. It's too important
-
of a matter to assume that we do have to
-
take someone else's word for what God's will is. It's
-
too important of a matter. We got to get the Bible.
-
We got to get the Bible. Do we really know
-
what the Bible says? that God wants us to do
-
in order to be saved? Do we? What must I
-
do to be saved? It's a very important question. People
-
have taken this salvation loosely. Some folks have believed that
-
they have gotten saved, but they hadn't. They got emotionally
-
filled and did something emotionally and not spiritually. They meant somebody.
-
Many people will answer this question in many different ways,
-
but there's only one way. The many different denominations give
-
us many different and conflicting answers of what must you
-
do to be saved. How can you get so many
-
different answers of what you must do to be saved?
-
That's a conflict in itself. That's a 20,000 million billion
-
trillion flag. They all fly up at the same time.
-
How can there be so many different ways to be saved?
-
Only God's way is correct. That's only one way. There's
-
not many different ways. The Bible is the only reliable
-
source we can go to for our answers. Not just
-
how can I be saved, but how must I live?
-
What must I do? How can I do it? How
-
should I approach this? What should I say? It's the
-
answer to all of our questions. We just don't depend
-
on it for all of our answers. But it got
-
our answers to every question. There ain't a question you
-
can ask that's not in this Bible. It's in here.
-
You see, since this Bible... It is our soul that
-
if we don't take our answers from, it's our soul
-
that's going to be lost. You can't buy another soul.
-
Can't nobody give you another soul. You can't get another
-
soul like you can get another heart. Amen, somebody. You
-
can't get another soul like you can get another liver.
-
you don't have but one soul. And once it's corrupt
-
and gone, it's over. But if it's corrupt and you're
-
still here, it can be fixed. It can be fixed. Amen?
-
But you only get one soul. And you don't want
-
it to be lost. It's going to be lost, though,
-
if you follow man's advice. See, our obedience to Christ
-
is a very serious decision and must not be taken lightly.
-
You make the decision to be obedient to Christ when
-
you are in a service, when you're at home, when
-
you're on the streets, when you're in the grocery store,
-
and you decide by the leading of the Lord, here
-
I am, Lord, take me, save me, deliver me from myself.
-
So now you done made a decision to obey Jesus Christ.
-
You made a decision to be faithful to him. Amen?
-
You made that decision when you did that. And you
-
can't take it lightly. Some people, they claim to be
-
saved and when they mess up 20,000 times in the
-
same thing, you know what they say? I'm still under construction.
-
That's their excuse for their own. That's their comfort for themselves.
-
There's a TV host. that always says, I ain't going
-
to mention his name because he's a TV host. I'm
-
still under construction. And I look at him and I say, man,
-
you ain't even broke ground. You ain't broke ground. Every
-
day you go home, you got a whole wine cellar
-
in your house. You got a whole bar. You got
-
a bar in your house that's better than the club.
-
You got the most expensive wine, you got the most
-
expensive gin and whiskey in your house greater than a
-
bar outside our club. You got a cigar room in
-
your house, but you under construction. No, sir, you have
-
not yet built the foundation. The ground ain't even been broken.
-
There's still grass and humps and bumps and rocks and
-
forest laying on the ground. You ain't cleared the land.
-
You ain't under construction. You're under destruction. Thank you, brother.
-
And he say that believing. He ministers to people about
-
what God may be saying to them. But you can
-
lead people to Christ and go to hell. I want
-
you to know just because you lead folks to Christ
-
don't mean you going. A whole lot of people that
-
led folks to Christ and wound up in hell. He
-
tell folks about Jesus this and Jesus that and he'll
-
bless you here and bless you there, but he going
-
to hell if he don't change his ways. You ain't
-
started nothing. You ain't even broke ground, brother. You ain't
-
cleared the land. You see, it's another example of individuals
-
believing they doing the will of God, but they're not.
-
You can't fool yourself because who going to bring you
-
around but God? And he's fooling himself. See, it must
-
be on the lowest terms as laid out in the
-
scriptures and not on our own terms. Amen? We've already
-
read the scriptures in Matthew. Only a few will be saved.
-
And many will be lost. And only those who do
-
the will of the Father can go to heaven. And
-
we read in 1 John 1, 2, and 4, he
-
who says, I know him... and does not keep his commandments,
-
God said he a liar. He's a liar and the
-
truth is not in him. A liar is a pretty
-
strong word to say in pretty strong language. A person
-
is a liar to himself and everyone else who says
-
he knows and loves God but does not keep his commandments,
-
we know that a liar cannot go to heaven. So,
-
in conclusion, we must do all of God's will. We
-
must do all of God's will so that we can
-
go to heaven. There is no other way. There's no
-
other way to get to heaven. Those that do the
-
will of my Father. That's what Jesus said. No single
-
condition that God imposes can be ignored. Amen. Well, that's
-
just a little thing. No, it can't be ignored. But
-
it's real small. It can't be ignored. God has no
-
non-essential commands. When we don't obey a command of God,
-
we have just broken it. When you don't obey it,
-
you're broken. Many people think that God will save them
-
no matter what. No matter if they follow God's specific
-
instructions or what they must do to be saved or not.
-
Some people believe that. You got churches that teach that.
-
I know you're a homosexual, but God loves you. You
-
still going to go to heaven. Liar. It's a lie.
-
They teach that. You hear me? They teach it in
-
churches in this America and other countries. I just heard
-
the other day when I was looking at and they
-
was talking about how they don't believe that God. Basically,
-
they don't believe God word is true. Because they believe
-
they can still do whatever they do. And because he's
-
a loving God, they're going to make it to heaven.
-
He's going to stay a loving God whether you go
-
to heaven or hell. And if you go to hell,
-
he's going to still love you. So many people think
-
that God will save them no matter if they follow
-
God's specific instructions on what they must do to be saved.
-
Are not. So what then is God's will? So that
-
we can go to heaven. and not have to endure
-
eternal punishment forever and ever. That's why it's called eternal punishment,
-
because it's forever and ever and ever and ever and ever.
-
It don't stop. What must we do? I'll tell you
-
what you must do. You will find the answer in
-
the Bible. You want to go to heaven? Then you
-
must do God's will. Amen? Amen. Give God a hand.
-
Come on. Amen. Amen. Amen. Want to go to heaven?
-
Want to go to heaven? Everybody think they're going to heaven.
-
And there are some people that think people that died
-
a hellacious life, they believe they're in heaven. You got preachers.
-
I was talking to somebody the other day, my auntie cousin,
-
I don't know which one, she died in the hospital
-
long ago. the sister or cousin of my mother-in-law. I
-
never knew who she really was when I said cousin
-
or sister. So she died the other day and the
-
doctor came and he said, sorry for your loss. I said,
-
I appreciate that. He said, but she's in a better place.
-
I said, is she? I don't know that. I don't
-
know that. I didn't know her like that and what
-
she believed about God. So My point is this. She
-
may be in a better place, but my point is this.
-
People are so quick to tell people they're in a
-
better place. This man died in a robbery. Shot in
-
the head, died immediately. Oh, but he in a better place. Huh?
-
This one died of an overdose immediately. This one died,
-
went off a bridge, car blew up, and they died.
-
Right after, they just got through cussing everybody out. and
-
stealing out of the house, and that's why they cussed
-
them out. But they sit up here, and the preacher said,
-
we're in a better place. Those preachers, so many of
-
them preachers are liars. They are liars and don't know
-
they're lying. But they're lying for the comfort of the family.
-
So what are they doing? They're compromising. They're compromising. We
-
don't compromise the gospel. They're compromising. Why? Why? Because they
-
don't want the family to feel bad. I'm not going
-
to be doing no funeral. Because see, first of all,
-
if I'm doing a funeral, they ain't in no better place.
-
Are you hearing what I'm saying? Let me break it
-
down to you and then I'm done. If I'm doing
-
a funeral, if I'm doing a funeral, they ain't in
-
no better place. But if I'm doing a home going,
-
they ain't in a better place. That's the difference. That's
-
the difference. Amen? Amen. Let us stand to our feet.
