Good morning friends, Welcome again to this Bible study series
-
entitled Prophecy Countdown. I'd like to welcome those who are
-
joining us in the various sites across the country and
-
also those who are watching overseas. Thank you for being
-
a part of this in depth Bible study. I'd like
-
to welcome those here in the Fort Worth area. Thank
-
you for coming out and joining us this morning. Very
-
important subject that we're going to be looking at. And
-
before we get into all of that, I want to
-
tell you about our free gift, our free digital download.
-
Also for those here and those who are watching, if
-
you'd like to get the book called The Search for
-
the True Church. It's one of the Biblical principles that
-
we need to look for when trying to find a church.
-
You can just simply text the word Christ twenty five
-
to the number four zero five four to four and
-
you'll be able to receive a digital download. You also
-
scan the QR code that you see on your screen. Again,
-
it's called The Search for the True Church. You can
-
read it and share it with somebody else. We also
-
have a series of lessons for each presentation. We've been
-
going through a lesson this morning. We're going to be
-
looking at lesson number eight. It's titled The Woman in
-
the Wilderness. If you would like to get a copy
-
of the lesson, you can do so by downloading it
-
at the website Prophecycountdown dot tv. Again just Prophecy Countdown
-
dot TV. Also want to let you know that we
-
are translating this program into multiple languages fifteen languages live.
-
If you'd like to see the program in maybe a
-
different language, just go to the website Prophecy Countdown dot tv.
-
You can click on the language that you'd like to
-
watch and you'll be able to get an AI translation
-
of each of the presentations, and they're doing a pretty
-
good job in doing that translation. We've heard some good
-
things while we have a theme song that we have
-
been singing through this whole series. You know the words
-
in might you just stand as we sing together? Beautiful beautiful.
-
Let's sing together, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Jesus is beautiful, and
-
Jesus rich beautiful things of mine.
-
Carefully touching me, carefully touching, causing my eyes.
-
To see Geesus, rich, beautiful things of mine.
-
Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Let's sing.

-
Sad strange in the light of his Lord, Ah agrees.
-
Amen, why do you remain standing? We're going to have
-
our opening prayer. Past to Adam will lead us in
-
prayer this morning.
-
Lord, we invite your presence into this place. Where you
-
are is where we want to be also, And so Lord,
-
I pray that you will open our hearts, open our
-
minds to the things of Scripture. Lord, it has been
-
a busy week for many. For some, it has been
-
a trying week, a challenging week. But Lord, we come
-
to you on this your Sabbath day, and rest and
-
pause from all of that.
-
We ask that you would send the Holy.
-
Spirit, that we may be encouraged by the message that
-
we hear, that we may I understand the words of Scripture. Lord,
-
I ask for a special blessing upon Pastor Bachelor, that
-
you would use him as you have many times before,
-
that we would be touched and that our lives would
-
be transformed. Lord, may we not leave from this place
-
without an encounter with you. We ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
-
Please be seated. We are so grateful for our musicians
-
and the wonderful music that they have been contributing to
-
our program. One of my favorite songs, because he lives,
-
that's going to be a special musical item. Thank you,

-
We're going to be answering some Bible questions that have
-
come in and if you have not submitted your Bible question,
-
it's easy to do. So all you have to do
-
is scan the QR code. If you're watching at home,
-
you'll see a QR code.
-
On the screen.
-
Just scan that with your phone. They'll take you to
-
the app where you can type in your Bible question.
-
Even those who are here you can point your camera
-
there your phone and scan that QR code. We want
-
to thank you for all of the great questions that
-
have been submitted. Now, if we don't mention your questions specifically,
-
don't get discouraged. We usually group different topics together so
-
we can try and cover as many questions as possible. Well,
-
passa doug. Last night you did a presentation on the Sabbath,
-
the seventh day of the week, and as you can imagine,
-
we had a number of questions that came in. So
-
we're going to start by addressing some of those chasis.
-
First fish number one, is it okay to eat out
-
at a restaurant on the Sabbath day?
-
Well, you know there might be occasions when you're traveling
-
overseas or you're on a boat or something, and you
-
know the only option is to eat out. I think
-
that Christian's on a plan so that you're not hiring
-
somebody else in paying them to cook your food. So
-
as far as possible, the Bible tells us that we
-
should bake what we're going to bake and boil what
-
we're going to boil. The reason God gave food to
-
the children of Israel twice as much on Friday is
-
so they wouldn't have to go through the extra preparation
-
then and it would all be ready on Sabbath. And
-
so you know, if you don't think that you should
-
be doing extra work on Sabbath, then why would you
-
go to a restaurant and pay someone to work for you?
-
And so I would say no if that can be avoided.
-
Like I said, there's extreme conditions. Our family has been
-
traveling overseas where a flight was delayed on Friday and
-
you ended up in a strange city and we had
-
no food. And you know, God's reasonable. There's emergencies, but
-
we should be planning ahead so that we don't have those.
-
All right, Another question that we have, what does poll
-
the apostle refer to in Roman chapter fourteen, verse five.
-
Okay, this is a couple of verses you almost always
-
get when you teach the Sabbath truth is one is
-
Romans fourteen five, the other's Colossians two thirteen. No one's
-
asked that yet, but someone will. Now Roman's fourteen. He's
-
talking about For when Christians who are pagans who had
-
converted to Christianity, if they were buying food in the
-
marketplace that had been offered to some pagan god, they said,
-
are we worshiping idols by eating that food? And Paul
-
said no, If it bothers your faith, well then don't
-
eat it and just eat vegetables. And then he says,
-
one man regards one day above another. This is verse five.
-
One person esteems one day above another, another person esteems
-
every day alike. Let each one be fully persuaded in
-
his own mind, is Paul saying.
-
Here.
-
Some people keep the Sabbath because they're convicted about it.
-
Some people don't. Let each one be persuaded in his
-
own mind. Can you ever hear a pastor on Sunday
-
telling his congregation that verse some of you think you
-
should come to church on Sunday. Some think you shouldn't
-
do whatever you however, you're persuaded. They never use that
-
verse that way on Sunday morning. I can promise you
-
that this verse had nothing to do with the Sabbath.
-
It had to do with keeping the annual Jewish feasts
-
that fell once a year. Because the converts to Christianity
-
that were Pagans were being told by the Jewish Christians.
-
You need to also circumcise. You can't eat anything offered
-
to idols, and you need to be keeping the annual feasts.
-
And you notice the word sabbath is not mentioned anywhere
-
in Romans fourteen. It's talking about the annual Sabbath days.
-
That's also being refer to in Colossians chapter two. They
-
all came after sin, the Sabbath of the Ten Commandments.
-
When did it come before sin? It's part of God's
-
perfect plan. It's written in the Ten Commandments. The other
-
sabbath aides were written on paper, they were nailed to
-
the cross. This is what passed away the veil, and
-
the curtain was torn from top to bottom when Jesus died,
-
indicating we don't need to keep the ceremonial laws any longer.
-
This is what Paul is talking about, not one of
-
the ten Commandments.
-
All right, here's another question about a Bible verse. Second Corinthians,
-
chapter three, verse seven, I say through to about verse eleven.
-
Does this verse do away with the Ten Commandments? Second
-
Corinthians three.
-
All right, let's read this for you. But the ministry
-
of death written and engraved on stones was glorious. So
-
the children of Israel could not look steadfastly at the
-
face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance,
-
which glory was passing away, it eventually faded. How much
-
more will the ministry of the spirit not be more glorious,
-
For it is the ministry of For if the ministry
-
of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds it
-
much more in glory. For even that which what was
-
made glorious had no glory in this respect because of
-
the glory that excels it. For if what is passing
-
away is glorious, what remains is much more glorious. All right,
-
So they're saying something passed away, and it talks about
-
the law written in stone passed away, and then he
-
talks about the law written in the spirit being even
-
more glorious. The ten Commandments are the letter of the law.
-
It is the foundation of the law. Jesus came to
-
teach us the spirit of the law, which shows it's
-
more than just an action, it's an attitude. When you
-
embrace the spirit of the law, of course you keep
-
the letter, you go beyond it. Let me show you
-
in a practical way. Jesus said, you have heard it
-
said by then of old you shall not commit adultery.
-
Where do you find that ten commandments? But I say
-
unto you that if a man looks on a woman
-
and lusts after her in his heart, he's committing adultery
-
in his heart. That would be the spirit of the law.
-
One of them is an attitude, right, it's something going
-
on in the mind. The heart, not the life says,
-
you can break the law in your heart. So now
-
I'm going to keep the spirit of the law. I
-
will not think about lust, but I can break the
-
letter and commit adultery. Is that what he's saying. How
-
is it possible for you to keep the law in
-
the spirit and break the letter?
-
Right?
-
The letter of the law says thou shalt not murder,
-
Jesus said, But if you're angry with your brother without
-
a cause, you're guilty of murder. He's talking about the
-
spirit of the law. Well, if you're keeping the spirit
-
of the law, are you literally going to commit murder?
-
The letter of the law said, remember the Sabbath day
-
you shall rest. The spirit of the loss has come
-
unto me and I will give you rest. And there's
-
a rest that remains for the people of God he Brews.
-
For if you're keeping the spirit of the law, will
-
you ignore the letter? So what Paul is saying is
-
the glorious truth of Christ, not Moses, and the law
-
written in our hearts is even so much more glorious
-
that it doesn't fade away. The letter of the law
-
is still intact. Now if someone says that First Corinthians
-
or Second Corinthians, chapter seven is suggesting that now we
-
don't need to keep the letter of the law. Are
-
they saying that it's okay to kill and to steal,
-
and to rob, and to lie and commit adultery and
-
covet worship other gods, pray to idols. They never argue that.
-
The only time they use that verse that way is
-
with the Sabbath truth that aughtust seems suspicious, right, see
-
what I'm saying. So he's talking about how much more
-
glorious the spirit of the law is. If you're keeping
-
the law in your heart, of course you're going to
-
keep the letter of the law, all right.
-
Another question on the Sabbath, thak it's the last Sabbath question?
-
Am I breaking the Sabbath commandment. By working every other Saturday, well.
-
Only every other Sabbath, you could be breaking it. Now,
-
there are some people, and I'm not sure who's asking
-
the question, there are some people who are doing certain
-
emergency work. You know, Seventh day Adventist Church has hospitals
-
and nursing homes and places that you do, you know,
-
ministry and care. And of course those people need service.
-
You don't just leave them and abandon them. And so
-
there are certain necessary functions that are emergency service, works
-
of kindness that continue even on the Sabbath day. And
-
so if you're involved in the medical field or something
-
like that, then if you alternate every other Sabbath so
-
you don't have to keep missing church, well that makes sense.
-
I've got several members of our church that are doctors
-
and dentists, and sometimes our dentists will get a call
-
and they'll say, I am in so much pain from
-
this toothache. He says, I'll meet you at the office,
-
and he goes there and he relieves her suffering. And
-
usually he doesn't charge him anything because it's just a
-
ministry of service. But did Jesus heal on the Sabbath day? Yeah,
-
you know, there are certain emergency things like that. God
-
is reasonable. But you know, if you're doing any kind
-
of regular work, you never saw Jesus in the carpenter
-
shop on the Sabbath day. That needs to be put aside,
-
and you need to talk to your employer. If you're
-
a good employee, they will keep you. Because if I
-
was an employer and I had an employee that said,
-
you know, I'm convicted about one of the ten Commandments,
-
and i want to keep the Sabbath day, and I'll
-
even work Sunday, I'll work extra hours, but I want
-
to keep God's holy time, I would want to keep
-
an employee like that because I thought they've got integrity,
-
they've got convictions, they're not going to steal from me.
-
And so ninety nine percent of the time the employers
-
will say, I will make an accommodation. By the way,
-
they're even laws in North America about accommodating people's religious
-
beliefs in your scheduling.
-
All right, Another question that we have, why did God
-
give the Ten Commandments on two tables of stone instead
-
of just writing it on one big table. Yeah.
-
Furthermore, if you read it says they were written on
-
the front in the back. Most people forget that part.
-
That's because you've got the first half of the first
-
Table of Stone is dealing with our responsibility to God.
-
When you it says, don't worship other gods, do not
-
make graven images, do not take his name in vain,
-
remember the Sabbath day. The last six commandments are more
-
civil in nature. They deal with our relationship with our
-
fellow man. The first four are your vertical commandments. The
-
last six are the horizontal, loving the Lord, loving your neighbor.
-
They're separated on two tables of Stone. And Roger Williams
-
when he helped found Providence Rhode Island, they were forcing
-
people back then to keep the first four commandments in
-
Salem and some of the early settlements, and it was
-
a disaster. People were put in the stocks if they
-
didn't go to church. Roger Williams said, you cannot force
-
a person to love God. The first four commandments needs
-
to be an individual choice. You need to have freedom
-
of conscience. The last six commandments the government must enforce.
-
You can't steal, you can't kill, marriage should be honored, etc.
-
And so governments need to keep that separation. That's where
-
the separation of church and state is. But there's nothing
-
wrong with recognizing that you're living in a country that
-
has a Judeo Christian foundation.
-
All right, passed that practical question. Here in heaven, will
-
the children grow slower than on earth?
-
Well?
-
I believe so. There's a strange passage in the Bible
-
where it says a child will die one hundred years
-
And people say children in a die at one hundred years.
-
Actually it's saying a child will not even cease to
-
be a child until they're one hundred. Have you ever
-
noticed in reading Genesis it'll say, and you know, Matthusla
-
got married at three hundred years old and had a son,
-
and you know what took him so long? Well, well,
-
people got married later back then because they live longer. Originally,
-
God's plan was for us to live forever. And once
-
we get our glorified bodies, and you've got eternity stretch
-
before you, we will still grow up children. There are
-
children in the Resurrection talks about that several places in
-
the Bible, but it says that they're going to grow
-
more slowly, and it says they shall go forth and
-
grow up as calves of the stall that's in Malachi.
-
So yes, they will grow, but they're going to grow
-
more slowly. There will be no new marriage is in heaven.
-
But does God give us divorce papers when we get
-
to the kingdom. Someone write that down and ask that question.
-
All right, another question that we have. Can I believe
-
who is struggling to quit smoking still be baptized?
-
Well you shouldn't be.
-
There are certain sins where you are chained to habits
-
of the devil. Those things should be forsaken. John the
-
Baptist said that we should bring forth fruits of righteousness.
-
When you baptize a person that is still smoking and drinking,
-
and then they go to the bar that night to
-
celebrate their baptism, and someone says, what are you celebrating?
-
I just joined the church. Did something wrong with that?
-
You want to have those addictions behind you now. I'll
-
tell you that before I got baptized, I argued with
-
the pastor because I was smoking, and I was going
-
to church every week, and I was reading my Bible
-
and I was sharing my faith and I was smoking,
-
and I was sharing my faith with people that smoked.
-
And the pastor said, brother Doug, what does it look
-
like you're a Christian, you're born again, you're baptized. It's
-
a new birth, and here you are. What do you
-
think of a baby that's smoking. There's something wrong with
-
that picture, right, he said, Jesus set me free, Praise
-
the Lord. I've been baptized, and you're still smoking. You're
-
still drinking. He said, you need to quit that first.
-
And while he was telling me this, I was arguing
-
with the pastor. I'm sitting in my pickup truck. He
-
met him at the post office. He's talking to me.
-
He's standing outside the windows down. My three year old
-
daughter is in the seat next to me. My cigarettes
-
are on the dashboard Marlborough and he's telling me. He said,
-
you want to be an example for your family. And
-
while he said that, my three year old grabbed my
-
pack of cigarettes started shaking them and they began to
-
fly out of the pack. He said, see that, she's
-
going to do what you do. And I became terribly convicted.
-
There's another story. I'll tell you something else that happened
-
that God helped me quit. But once I quit, I
-
stopped smoking. Since I was baptized, I never smoked again
-
forty years. God can give you the victory. It's easier
-
before than after.
-
Himen.
-
All right, maybe time for one quick question. Will there
-
be night in heaven?
-
Yes, there is no night in the city. The Bible
-
says there is no need of the sun, doesn't say
-
there is no sun. Says there's no need of the
-
sun because the glory of God is going to shine,
-
and God is light in him is no darkness at all.
-
And so but will there still be a separation of days, Well,
-
it says from one sabbath to another, we'll come to
-
worship him. That was part of God's original plan. So yes,
-
there will still be a separation of days. But there
-
is no night in the city where God lives.
-
All right, again, we want to thank you for your
-
great questions. We want to remind you if you haven't
-
yet given us a question, just scan the QR code.
-
You'll see it there on your screen and you can
-
type in your Bible question. We're going to try and
-
answer as many of those questions as we can.
-
Pass it up.
-
We've been placed with the music and we'll have another
-
beautiful musical item touch your people once again.
-
We need wisdom, we need power and true love for
-
each other. We have had so many baid but empty worlds.
-
So we come before your face asking for your grace.
-
Bring your people to a.
-
State of kingdom life. Rest are your church again, Touch
-
your peoples again with your precious holdly and.
-
We pray, unless your kingdom shine upon Mizar.
-
Through living gloiosture, not for temper.
-
Reity, but to restore forty.
-
And power, that amighty rushing wind blow.
-
Touch your people again.
-
Lord, do you see are tired servants and the broken
-
wounded soldiers.
-
Oh how much we need your precious.
-
We need the power of the Cross as the only
-
source for us when we stand up facing the final battle. Pride,
-
restore your church again, Touch your people.
-
Again with your precious holdly hand.
-
We pray, let your kingdom shine upon is.
-
Through living bloodious chure. Bird, not for temporary but to
-
restore thy.
-
Power.
-
Let a mighty shing blad touch your people again.
-
Em Thank you Ryan, thank you Jackie. Tonight, we have
-
a very important study. It's less than number eight. If
-
you have your study guides, you can follow along. It's
-
called the Woman in the Wilderness, and we're going to
-
be looking at a prophecy found in the very heart
-
of the Book of Revelation. Revelation Chapter twelve, we're going
-
to learn about a woman and a dragon. We're also
-
going to look at characteristics of God's people in the
-
last Days, so I hope you are ready for the
-
study once again. If you don't have a lesson, you
-
can download today's lesson at Prophecycountdown dot tv. There is
-
actually a place where you can fill in the various answers,
-
so I hope you have it handy and we're gonna
-
be studying this important topic, the woman in the Wilderness.
-
Amen, Tick tick, Welcome friends once again to the Prophecy
-
Countdown What's Next Seminar and we're so glad to be
-
here with you in Crowley, Texas. For our friends that
-
are watching, this is a suburb of Fort Worth, not
-
very far away from where I went to school in
-
King Texas. Hoping to get a chance to visit there
-
again before this series is over. I want to welcome
-
our friends that are here locally, and want to welcome
-
our friends that are watching on AFTV three, ABN, Good
-
News Network, Facebook and the other venues. And it's not
-
too late to text your friends and say Prophecy Countdown
-
is on and it's live watch now because today's lesson
-
is a very important lesson. We're going to be going
-
to the middle of Revelation and talking about the woman
-
in the wilderness, and this is a very important subject
-
that we you know, Revelation is written in what they
-
call a chiastic structure, where it sort of makes a
-
statement at the beginning, it reaches the pinnacle in the middle,
-
and it reinforces the statement at the end. And we're
-
going to be looking at the pinnacle of the prophecy
-
you find in Revelation chapter twelve. But as our custom is,
-
we like to start with an amazing fact, you know.
-
In nineteen seventy seven, National Geographic did a special report
-
on a woman named Robin Davidson. She embarked on an
-
extraordinary journey across the Australian Outback. With only four camels
-
and her faithful dog for company. She traveled one thousand,
-
seven hundred miles of harsh desert terrain alone a woman
-
in the wilderness. In preparation, she trained camels and learned
-
how to survive in the desert for two years. On
-
the journey that lasted nine months, it pushed her to
-
her limits. She faced scorching he poisonous snakes and the
-
challenges of managing her temperamental camels. You know, they got
-
wild camels in Australia in the desert there as well.
-
Davidson's solo trek from Alice Springs to the Indian Ocean
-
became an inspiring tale of human endurance and self discovery.
-
And there's a book written about this called Tracks that's
-
rather inspiring about her adventure. I think they even made
-
a movie about her adventure of surviving in the wilderness.
-
And one time they got she and her camels got
-
attacked by a bull camel that was in heat and
-
they said the only alternative is you need to kill
-
it because it will kill you. And had some amazing adventures.
-
You know, a woman in the Bible is a symbol
-
of what the church. God had his woman in the
-
wilderness for forty years in preparation to going to the
-
Promised Land. And there's other stories about God's woman in
-
the wilderness. So we're going to get to our lesson
-
question number one. How does God? How does Revelation, I'm sorry,
-
picture God's true church? How does Revelation picture God's true Church?
-
You can read the answer Revelation twelve, verses one and two.
-
A woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under
-
her feet, and on her head a garland, or it's
-
called a stefanos. It means a crown of twelve stars. Then,
-
being with child, she cried out in labor and pain
-
to give birth. Bible says, I've likened the daughter of
-
Zion to a lovely and a delicate woman. God's church
-
is symbolized by a pure woman. Husbands, love your wives
-
as Christ loves the church. In the Book of Hoseiah,
-
he talks about his love for his people, his bride,
-
and when she's unfaithful, he accuses her of adultery. Now,
-
if you have your Bibles, and I hope you do
-
either in paper digital form, go to Revelation twelve. We're
-
gonna look at this together, and I want you to
-
read the first few verses with me. Revelation twelve, verse one. Now,
-
a great sign appeared in heaven a woman. This is
-
in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, the moon
-
under her feet, and on her head a garland of
-
twelve stars. Then, being with child, she cried out in
-
labor in pain to give birth. This woman is getting
-
ready to bring forth a child, and another sign appears
-
in heaven behold a great, fiery red dragon, having seven
-
heads and ten horns. This dragon with seven heads and
-
ten horns appears several times in Daniel and Revelation. And
-
seven diadems are crowns on his heads, and his tail
-
drew a third of the stars of heaven. These are
-
the angels, and threw them to the earth. And the
-
dragon stood before the woman, who was ready to give birth,
-
to devour her child as soon as it was born.
-
And she bore a male child who was to rule
-
all nations with a rod of iron. Who is that child?
-
Jesus and her child it's capital C if you're looking
-
in many Bibles. Her child was caught up to God
-
in his throne, and the woman fled into the wilderness,
-
where she had a place prepared by God, that they
-
should feed her there. And now notice the number one thousand,
-
two hundred and sixty days. All right, we're going to
-
explore this passage very carefully because this woman is a
-
picture of God's Church. And then if you get to
-
the very end of the chapter, go to Revelation, chapter
-
twelve and verse seventeen, and the dragon was enraged with
-
the woman, and he went to make war with the
-
rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God
-
and have the testimony of Jesus. So in this chapter
-
we see a battle, and it's dealing with a woman,
-
a dragon, a child, and the seed of the woman.
-
First prophecy in the Bible is in Genesis chapter three,
-
and it talks about that the seed of the woman
-
would crush the head of the serpent, and the serpent
-
would bruise the heel. A battle involving a woman, the
-
seed of the woman, and a dragon or a serpent,
-
and so this is talking about just the apex or
-
the pinnacle of this battle. Now with that, let's get
-
back into our lesson and we'll go through some of
-
what we just read. I'll stop and expand on it
-
as we go. What does it mean? It says she's
-
clothed with the sun, the moon, and the stars. The
-
sun represents the light of God. God made the sun
-
Psalm eighty four, Malachi four to two. It says the
-
Son of Righteousness will arise with healing in his wings.
-
The moon represents it's the promises in the history of
-
the Old Testament. So God's Church has clothed with the
-
light of God's glory.
-
The sun.
-
She's standing on the moon. The foundation for the early
-
Church is the moon and the promises and the prophecies
-
of the Old Testament. The stars of above her head
-
represent the leadership. Above the head means authority. The Old Testament,
-
you've got the twelve tribes. You've got the twelve judges,
-
the patriarchs. The princes of Moses were twelve. In the
-
New Testament, you have the twelve apostles. The number twelve
-
matters to God. If you read Acts chapter one, just
-
before the Holy Spirit is poured out, you know what happens.
-
Peter said, Jesus chose twelve apostles. They weren't even all
-
from the same from different tribes. There were many of
-
them from the same tribe, but they had to be twelve.
-
Judas killed himself. Peter said, we need to replace Judas.
-
Get back the number twelve. And they cast lots, and
-
they picked Matthias. After it says that the twelve apostles,
-
then the place is shaken and the Holy Spirit is
-
poured out. The number twelve is a symbol for the leadership.
-
This is a picture of God's church. She bore a
-
male child who's to rule all nations with a rod
-
of iron. Iron was the strongest material. It would break
-
and shatter everything else. And her child is caught up
-
to God in his throne. Jesus ministered for thirty three
-
and a half years. He was crucified after being tortured, dyed, buried, rose,
-
and then he ascended to heaven, where he is now
-
at the right hand of God. Can you say, a
-
man that's a child now, contrast that woman we just
-
looked at in Revelation twelve. Take your bible, go to
-
Revelation seventeen. You're going to see that there is a
-
dramatic shift here. Revelation chapter seventeen talks about another woman.
-
These two women are like polar opposites. And one of
-
the seven angels who had the seven bulls, these are
-
the bowls vials of wrath. Come to talk with me,
-
and he said to me, come, I will show you
-
the judgment of the great Harlot, who sits on many waters.
-
This is on earth now, with whom the kings of
-
the earth have committed fornication. That's not good. Kings of
-
the governments, politicians and the inhabitants of the earth were
-
made drunk with the wine of her fornication. This wine
-
is not the unfermented grape juice of the communion. It's fermented.
-
So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness.
-
And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast,
-
which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads
-
and ten horns. There's that beast again, except before the
-
beast is trying to eat the manchild of the woman
-
clothed with light. Now this woman is riding on the beast,
-
who's in control. They're working in partnership. If you're writing
-
a beast, you're usually going the same direction. Is the
-
beast right? And this woman, she's clothed, but not the
-
glory of God. It's a glory of the world, with
-
purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones
-
and pearls, having in her hand a golden cupful of
-
abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. And on her
-
forehead has written the name Mystery babbled and the Great,
-
the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth. And
-
I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the
-
saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.
-
And when I saw her, I'm marveled with a great amazement.
-
And so here you have these two women. One represents
-
the true Church, the other represents a church that has
-
become apostate, unfaithful, a harlot. One's got the light in
-
the glory of God, the sun, the moon, the stars.
-
God made all of that. The other is purple and
-
gold and pearls and earthly adornment. And she's working in
-
cooperation with the beast and commits fornication with the governments.
-
It's a church that is in cohoots with the governments
-
of the world. Okay, two different women in the Bible,
-
and they're both in history today as you sit here.
-
So who is the great red dragon? Let's identify him?
-
And what does he do? It's hard to misunderstand who
-
the dragon is. Revelation twelve, verse nine brings it all
-
together for us. The dragon was cast out that serpent
-
of old called who it's on your screen. He's called
-
the devil and Satan, dragon, serpent, devil, Satan, who deceives
-
the whole world. Christ says he is the Prince of
-
the world, much of the world, most of the world
-
deceived by the devil. He was cast to the earth.
-
He's claimed this is his dominion, and his angels were
-
cast out with him. The devil and his demons have
-
been cast down here, and they're wreaking havoc on the planet.
-
And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready
-
to give birth, to devour her child as soon as
-
it was born. The devil did not want Jesus to
-
complete his ministry of redemption and salvation to our world.
-
Number three. What happens after Satan fails to destroy Jesus.
-
He could not get Jesus to sin it says her
-
child is what he's caught up. That's called the ascension.
-
He's caught up to God and is throne. Now the
-
devil cannot reach Jesus anymore. This is you can read
-
in Acts chapter one as the men the apostles stood
-
there gazing. Christ ascended. He was caught up into the clouds,
-
and now he is seated. He is enthroned before the
-
Lord and Jesus, who is the king of kings and
-
Lord of lords. Now want you to notice something. There's
-
a pattern in the Bible.
-
You have the.
-
Example of eight miracle births in the Bible. Each of
-
the births are a type of Christ. Notice Sarah and Isaac.
-
Sarah could not give give birth, but through a miracle
-
of God's power when she was what ninety nineteen ninety nine,
-
she gave birth to Isaac, Rebecca and Jacob. Rebecca was Baron,
-
and Jacob prayed and she gave birth. Actually it's Isaac
-
and Rebecca. So Rebecca gives birth to Jacob. Sorry, and
-
Jacob is a type of Christ. Rachel gives birth to Joseph.
-
Rachel was Baron, but Jacob praise, and she gives birth
-
Manoa's wife, I went too fast, Sorry, Manoa's wife. It
-
doesn't tell us her name was Baron. She has Samson.
-
Hannah is Baron. She goes and she prays at the temple.
-
She has what's his name, Samuel. Then there's a shoon
-
of mye woman and gaheyes, I says she has no child.
-
Elijah praise and she has a miracle son and Elizabeth
-
is Baron and through a miracle, she and zachar I
-
have John the Baptist. And then the final miracle birth
-
is who is Jesus? Okay, every one of these first
-
seven miracle births are types of Christ. Notice is Isaac
-
a type of Christ? He goes up the mountain. He's
-
a willing sacrifice. The father's beloved son Jacob, who has
-
the twelve Apostles, is a type of Christ. He has
-
the twelve Sons. Joseph who is sold by his brothers
-
as a slave. He forgives him and feeds the world
-
with the bread of life. During a famine. Samson, he
-
kills more by his death than he did by his life.
-
He stretches out his arms and he dies, is a
-
type of Christ. Samuel, who is a prophet, a priest,
-
and a judge of Israel, and he interceded for them.
-
He is a type of Christ. The Shunamite woman, he
-
has a boy. He dies in the field, but he
-
is miraculously resurrected like Jesus. Is he a type of Christ.
-
Then you have Elizabeth and John, John who is the
-
greatest prophets, who introduces Christ. They are all forerunners. Isn't
-
it interesting all these miracle birth with all males because
-
they're types of Christ. And then the ultimate when it
-
says a woman is striving to bring forth is Jesus
-
and the devil wants to destroy him. Now, this is
-
not the first time that the dragon has wanted to
-
destroy the manchild. What happened during the time of Moses.
-
The devil knew that a savior was coming. He wanted
-
to destroy the Savior. He knew that it was going
-
to be a boy, so he had all the baby
-
boys thrown in the river, right, but one survives and
-
he becomes a savior. Then we read about David's descendants.
-
The devil knew that a savior was coming. There was
-
going to be a great king who is a descendant
-
of David. The devil heard the prophecy saying the Messiah
-
would be a descendant of David. And during the time
-
of Queen Athaliah, she tried to kill all of the
-
royal seed of David, but one escapes. His name is
-
Joe ash Right, and he ends up restoring the true worship,
-
becomes a type of Christ. And then when Jesus was born,
-
this herod tried to devour the manchild before he's born,
-
kills all the babies in Bethlehem. You can see this
-
consistent effort. The devil is trying to keep the Savior
-
from getting started to take him out. Why he's a
-
weak baby all through the Bible. But after Jesus is
-
caught up to heaven, what does Satan do? He can't
-
now persecute Christ, so he directs his tension to the Church.
-
When the dragon saw that he had been cast to
-
the earth, he can no longer reach Christ. He now
-
persecutes the woman who gave birth to the manchild. If
-
you want to hurt somebody, it's one thing to hurt them,
-
but you're much more effective if you hurt what they
-
love the most. And God loves us even more than
-
his own son in that he sacrificed his son. Jesus
-
offered himself that we might be saved. So the devil
-
knows that Jesus greatly treasures He's desperate to save us.
-
He loves us more than his own blood. He gave
-
his blood to save us, and the devil wants to
-
hurt Jesus by hurting us. So whenever you're going through
-
trials and you think God doesn't care, oh he cares.
-
He knows, he sees it. He cries. The Bible says
-
that inasmuch as we do it to one of the
-
least of these, we do it to the Lord, because
-
the Lord feels everything we feel, and so Jesus, it
-
breaks his heart when we suffer. Sometimes he allows us
-
to suffer for our ultimate good and he turns it
-
to good. But catch this, friends, Not everything bad that
-
happens to God's people is God's will. There are bad
-
things that happen in the world that are not the
-
will of God. Why do we say in the Lord's prayer,
-
thy will be done? If God's will is always done,
-
then why do we pray Thy will be done? And
-
why does the Bible say God is not willing that
-
any should perish? Will many perish? Yes? Is God willing? No,
-
there's a lot of things in this world because of
-
the Devil that happened that are not his will. So
-
don't blame everything bad that happens on God. Can God
-
take bad things and turn them for good? Yes, that's
-
the important truth. But the devil wanted to destroy the church,
-
so plan a. The devil says, I'm going to destroy
-
the church by annihilation. I'm just going to make it illegal.
-
And the early Romans declared Christianity. Even during the time
-
of Peter and Paul. He declared it Nero Religio illicitae
-
Paul because he was a Roman, he was beheaded. You
-
can die quickly if you're a Roman. If you are
-
not a Roman, you are crucified. Peter was crucified, but
-
he said, I'm not worthy to be crucified. Crucify me
-
with my head down. And legend has it that Peter
-
was crucified head down, which actually accelerated his death. Many
-
Christians then were thrown the lions or Nero smeared them
-
with pitch and set them on fire to light his gardens.
-
And the Christians went underground because you got catacombs all
-
through the Roman Empire where they would bury their dead underground.
-
I've been through the catacombs and they go on for
-
miles and miles and miles. And the whole Christian Church
-
went underground. But you know what, the more the Christians
-
were persecuted in the arenas, and the spectator saw them
-
dying while they were praying, dying with peace, dying with faith.
-
The blood of the martyrs is seed for the Gospel.
-
The Church spread through persecution. Devil said, this is not
-
working very good. I need to go to Plan B.
-
And if I can't destroy the Church from the outside.
-
I'm going to try to destroy the Church from the inside,
-
it says in Revelation thirteen, verse seven. It was granted
-
to him to make war with the Saints and to
-
overcome them. He tried to annihilate Christians, but then when
-
he legalized Christianity, it became a bigger problem. Around the
-
time of Constantine, the Roman Emperor, he said, you know,
-
the Christians aren't hurting anyone, and there was already they
-
were fighting other wars with other branches of the Roman Empire.
-
Constantine fought the Battle of Maximilian Bridge, and he claimed
-
to have seen a vision in the sky. By the way,
-
his mother converted to Christianity. So Constantine said, well, I'm
-
going to fight under the sign of the Cross. So
-
he had his soldiers paint across on their shields, and
-
then he ordered them to march through the Tiber River.
-
And he said, well, that's baptism. He says, you're all baptized. Now,
-
you're all Christians. But the problem is that they went
-
into the water dry pagans, and they came up wet pagans.
-
They had no idea, and all of a sudden, something
-
terrible happened. The devil accomplished through compromise what he couldn't
-
accomplish through outright attack. When he went into the church,
-
and he brought in compromise. See the Romans, they had
-
statues everywhere. Someone said there were more statues and idols
-
in Rome than there were shingles on the roof. They
-
had idols everywhere, and so all these pains came to
-
the church leaders. They said, what do we do with
-
all of our idols? And the faith ones said we'll
-
get rid of them, and the other church leaders said,
-
oh no, no, no, we want them to join the church.
-
Little by little they can get rid of those things.
-
Let's just let them. Let them give Christian names to
-
their idols. Nothing wrong if they're praying to you know, Peter, James,
-
and John, we'll just rename Jupiter, Mercury, and Apollos. And
-
the statues of Diana holding her baby, we'll call her
-
Mary and baby Jesus. And they began to rename the statues.
-
The statue I've been to the Vatican, the statue of
-
Saint Peter in the Vatican predate Saint Peter. It used
-
to be the statue of Jupiter. And they moved it
-
and they've actually kissed away the foot several times and
-
replaced it. And all this compromise came in. Pastors were
-
people just like everybody else, and now the pastors were
-
being treated like a royal class the way the pagan
-
pastors were, and they had their holy investments, and they
-
were above the people. And they took the Bibles from
-
the people and they chained them in the churches and
-
the monasteries. They said, you're ignorant, you can't understand. We'll
-
tell you what it says, because they were afraid that
-
the people read for themselves. They'd find out salvation was
-
free and you could not pay to get a person
-
out of purgatory, and that hell did not burn forever
-
and ever. They got that from the Greek mythology. And
-
what you had now is a milkshake. It was a
-
stew with Christianity mixed up with a lot of pagan traditions,
-
and they became the state religion. The woman committed adultry
-
with the kings of the earth, and that lasted for
-
one thousand, two hundred and sixty not days years, because
-
in prophecy, a day is what it's a year. So
-
in five thirty eight you can remember that date. And
-
five thirty eight, Justinian he moved the capital from Rome
-
to come Stantinople, and he told the Bishop of Rome.
-
They moved the capital from Jerusalem to Rome, and they said,
-
we're going to give the Bishop of Roman army so
-
you can enforce religious observance. It now was being forced
-
on people. Did Jesus ever use military to force his beliefs?
-
They became a religious political power that had almost uninterrupted
-
power from five thirty eight to seventeen ninety eight. Now
-
what happened during that time? Any of you ever played
-
chess and you got the king and the queen, and
-
who's next to the king and the queen, the bishop
-
on the right and the left. Because that's the way
-
it was through Europe. The monarchs in Europe couldn't do
-
anything without church approval. The reason the Church of England
-
broke away and became its own church is because Henry
-
the Eighth kept trying to have a male child and
-
it wasn't working out, and so he would divorce his
-
wives or he'd kill his wife. And when he finally
-
wanted the church to approve a divorce, they said, Henry,
-
enough is enough. You can't keep divorcing her. You don't
-
have biblical grounds. They did have some values. He said, well,
-
I'll start my own church. By the way, you know
-
what's going to happen this week, For the first time
-
in five hundred years, King Charles is going to meet
-
with the Pope and they're going to pray together. Isn't
-
that interesting? And so you see that there was this
-
big compromise that took place, so made war. The true
-
Church now had to go underground and fled into the wilderness. Now,
-
when God's people fled into the wilderness, did he feed
-
them the children of Israel? Yes, right, Elijah. What you
-
see happening here in Revelation comes from the time of Elijah. Elijah,
-
there was a famine for one thousand, two hundred and
-
sixty days. A Jewish year is a lunar calendar, three
-
hundred and sixty days. You can read that for one thousand,
-
two hundred and sixty days of a famine. Elijah fled
-
into the wilderness, and he was fed by God. The
-
prophets were hidden in caves, and Oben I have fed
-
them right during the famine. And Jezebel was on the throne.
-
Jezebel was a corrupt pagan queen who began to manipulate
-
a Jewish king, and you had the commingling of church
-
and state with false religion mixed in till the famous
-
showdown on Mount Carmel. So number five, Oh, I went
-
too fast? Where did the woman go during this terrifying
-
period of persecution? And how long did it last? The church?
-
The woman fled into the wilderness where she had a
-
place prepared by God that they should feed her there.
-
One thousand, two hundred and sixty days. What is the
-
perfect number of God in the Bible? Seven? What's half
-
of seven three and a half and half of seven
-
Jewish years is one thousand, two hundred and sixty days.
-
How long did Jesus teach one thousand, two hundred and
-
sixty days? It usually represents a time of resistance and persecution. Christ,
-
at the end of that time period was killed for
-
his testimony. Jezebel tried to kill Elijah at the end
-
of that three and a half year period. After jesus death,
-
for three and a half years, the apostles preached to
-
the Jews, and then they killed Stephen exactly three and
-
a half years later. And now you have three and
-
a half prophetic years, which is one thousand, two hundred
-
and sixty years from five thirty eight to seventeen ninety eight.
-
What happened? Then? Napoleon sent his general Berthier into France,
-
arrested the pope, put him in captivity. He died in captivity.
-
The Catholic Church lost its dominance over Europe during the
-
time of Napoleon, But that deadly wound would be healed later.
-
We'll talk about that in another study. During the dark ages,
-
the church one underground. You've heard of the waled Vincians
-
and the Huguenots, and they lived in the Alps, and
-
they lived in the mountains, and they would try to
-
share their faith time of great persecution. But another way,
-
the church fled into the wilderness. What country all of
-
a sudden comes into visibility right about the time of
-
seventeen ninety eight. When did the United States have our
-
declaration of independence? Seventeen seventy six, Now that's when we
-
declared it. Are you aware that the nations of Europe
-
did recognize US as an independent country until seventeen ninety eight.
-
They realized, you know, they finally looked like they broke
-
free of Britain and seventeen ninety eight, they treated us
-
as an independent country, and all the nations of Europe
-
welcomed our ambassadors. At that time, America then became the
-
depository of free Protestant religion. Why did the pilgrims come, Well,
-
some came for trade and some came for exploration. But
-
the first ships that landed they were looking for a
-
light on a hill. They were looking for a place
-
where to practice our religion according to the dictates of
-
our conscience. And in just a few years America became
-
the world's number one supporter of international missions. We still
-
are today. Did you know that it became a bastion
-
of Protestant growth, and unfortunately a lot of Protestant division too.
-
We've got more denominations in North America Protestant ones than
-
any other country of the world. The Church fled into
-
the wilderness, not only in Europe, but during that end
-
of that time period, America opened up and provided a
-
place of freedom. The dragon persecuted the woman the church
-
who gave birth to the male child. Some people think
-
this woman was Mary. You're going to see a lot
-
of paintings in the Catholic Church of Mary standing on
-
a moon with twelve stars above her head. I must
-
tell you that it isn't Mary, it's the Church at large.
-
Mary was a godly woman. But doesn't say that Mary
-
fled into the wilderness and the dragon tried to devour her.
-
None of the rest of this prophecy applies to Mary.
-
Mary stayed with the apostle John, and she was well
-
known by the church, and she died probably in Antioch. Okay,
-
so you get the true Church is in the wilderness
-
from five thirty eight for one two hundred and sixty
-
years to seventeen ninety eight. You can look up these dates.
-
If you studied history at all, you're acquainted with these things.
-
You get this church state union. This beast receives a
-
deadly wound, but the deadly wound would be healed and
-
it would recover. We'll get to that later. So the
-
wilderness now opens up across the water, and America provides sanctuary,
-
and all the time period fits now. I always think
-
it's interesting people come from other countries. A lot of
-
immigrants come to America and they want to assimilate. And
-
I remember Karen and I were in Russia for the
-
fall of Communism, and we had Russian friends that moved
-
to America. Ok And they so, so, what do Americans
-
eat for breakfast? Cereal? Cereal? Okay, So they go to
-
the market and they find this aisle as long as
-
an airport terminal, and there's cereal on both sides, and
-
they're bewildered. They're going, how do I pick cereal? How
-
do you pick cereal? The cartoon on the cover. If
-
it's got the word coco, you pick it right. You
-
know how I pick my cereal. I don't look at
-
the picture. I immediately flip to the side of the
-
box and I read the ingredients. I read the ingredients,
-
I read the vitamins, I read the fiber content. If
-
the first ingredient is sugar or the second ingredient sugar,
-
I put it back. You know how people pick a
-
church in North America, there's so many different denominations. They
-
look at the cartoon cover. You know what the main
-
reasons are people pick churches in North America. It's the
-
church where my family went, got to be loyal to
-
the family. Now, that's nice, but that's not the right reason.
-
It's close to the house, that's great. If the church
-
is close, wrong reason great music program. We hope the
-
church has a good music program. Wrong reason to pick
-
a church, great children's program. You'd be surprised how many
-
people pick a church because they've got a good children's program.
-
That is important. Wrong reason to pick a church. I
-
like the looks of the building. It's new and sophisticated.
-
It's where the important people in the community go. That's
-
why they pick the church, because, you know, make contacts
-
and influence. I go because the preacher is good looking
-
and dynamic. We know, that's why you're all here this morning, right.
-
Or they go to the church because they have a
-
great pot luck. Now, I hope that you find a
-
church that has a good children's program, good music, good childcare.
-
The preacher will keep you awake. It's got a nice building,
-
good facilities that they sometimes feed you. And all those
-
things are good. None of them are the reason to
-
pick a church. Those are the main reason people in
-
North America a church. There is one reason to pick
-
a church. Biblically, you know what it is. The teachings
-
of the church are in harmony with the foundational teachings
-
of Jesus. You need to read the ingredients. You're responsible
-
for what your church teaches and what it believes? What
-
are the doctrines? You ask people? What does your church believe? Well,
-
my church believes the same as I do. Well, what
-
do you and your church believe? Same thing as the pastor?
-
What do you the pastor in the church believe? We
-
all believe alike. People don't know what they believe. Let's
-
face it, the average American is biblically I little. The
-
Bible says we should be ready to give an answer
-
to anyone who asks us the reason that is in
-
us with meekness and fear. People can tell you about
-
Survivor and The Bachelor and all these different programs, but
-
they can't tell you about Thus saith the Lord. We
-
need to know because the devil, the deception of the
-
last days are going to be so overwhelming. If it
-
were possible, even the very elect would be deceived. God
-
is telling us how to find his church. Let's take
-
a look for one thing it tells us when it
-
appears it appears after this time of great dearth the
-
seventeen ninety eight period. What are two other identifying marks
-
of God's true, remanent church. The dragon is enraged with
-
a woman, and he went to make war with the rest.
-
That word rests there. If you've got King Jacobs, it's
-
the remnant. It means the remainder of her offspring. Who
-
keep the commandments? Do you think that would be sixty percent?
-
Eighty percent? There is in one hundred percent They believe
-
in all one hundred percent. Every church keeps some of them.
-
They believe in all of the commandments of God and
-
have the testimony of Jesus. If you read Steen verse ten,
-
it says, fear God for the testimony of Jesus is
-
the spirit of prophecy. I there are religious leaders in
-
the country on TV I know where friends they come
-
to me and they said, Doug, you talked about prophecy
-
an awful light, And I said, yeah, it's thirty percent
-
of the Bible. And Jesus talks a lot about prophecy,
-
and it's there to help wake us up and prepare
-
people's coming friends. And yet a lot of churches are
-
ignoring these prophecies that appeal to the last These we
-
are in prophecy countdown right now, These things are unfolding.
-
Do you think the world's going to go on much
-
longer the way it's going With Ai and the explosion
-
of technology and the implosion of the environment, all these
-
things happening at once. And Jesus said that Day's going
-
to overtake most people as a thief. It is sooner
-
than you think. People all figure that, you know when
-
it turns into an apocalyptic meltdown. Yea, I guess the
-
end is coming. Jesus said, when he comes, they will
-
be planting and building and buying and selling and acting
-
like I've got lots of time left, and it'll overtake
-
the world as a thief. But Jesus said that day
-
should not overtake you as a thief. Why because you
-
read the Bible. You know what's coming. You're studying the word.
-
The dragon is angry with the woman number seven. How
-
did Jesus say the word to demonstrate our love for him?
-
For this is the love of God that we keep
-
his commandments. And his commandments are not burden some they're
-
not a burden. That's first John five to three, John
-
fourteen fifteen, Jesus said, if you love me, do what
-
keep my commandments? You know? I saw somebody had a
-
bumper steeker and said, if you love Jesus, honk your
-
horn any have you ever see that? Yeah, And you know,
-
you go up behind him and he say, oh.
-
It's a Christian beep beep, and.
-
They turn around. They gesture you in a way that
-
you can't repeat in church. They forgot about their bumper sticker.
-
And then I saw another bumper sticker and said, if
-
you love Jesus tithe, anybody can honk. That's interesting, If
-
you love Jesus tithe, anybody can honk. Honking's cheap. God
-
is wanting our hearts, He said, if you love me
-
Obamy number eight, what three angelic messages will God's end
-
Time Church be preaching? Now? It tells us what the
-
emphasis will be. If you read in Revelation fourteen just
-
before the Second Coming, take your bibles. You might turn
-
there real quick Revelation chapter fourteen. You know, Revelation thirteen
-
has the mark of the beast. Revelation fourteen then says,
-
and you can start with verse six. I saw another
-
angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the Everlasting
-
Gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth,
-
to every nation, tribe, tongue, going to the whole world.
-
God's Church on the last Days is not going to
-
be a local corner fellowship. It's going to be an
-
international movement. Every nation tongue in people, saying with a
-
loud voice that in Greek is megaphom. Fear God and
-
give glory to Him, for the hour of his judgment
-
has come. We are living during the time of what
-
you judgment, and worship him. It's calling this back to
-
worship the creator, Him that made the heaven the earth.
-
To see the springs of water. This is part of
-
the Sabbath command. And another angel followed saying, Babylon is fallen.
-
Is fallen that great city we just read about Babylon
-
in chapter seventeen, because she is talking about a woman
-
false church has made all nations drunk with the wrath
-
of her fornication. Babylon counterfeit. Truth is much bigger than
-
the true friends waiting when the true faithful remnant is
-
going to be popular, it will never happen. Christ said
-
most of his people forsook him because what he said
-
was difficult. Then the third angel followed them, saying with
-
a loud voice, if anyone worships the beast in his
-
image and receives his mark on his forehead or his hand,
-
he himself also will drink the wine of the wrath
-
of God that has poured out full strength into the
-
cup of his indignation, and will be tormented with fire
-
in brimstone, in the presence of the Holy Angels, in
-
the presence of the Lamb. The most fearful cursed plague
-
ever found in the Bible is in chapter fourteen of
-
the New Testament of Revelation, for those who receive the
-
Beast in his image? Do you think people should get
-
warned about this? Oh? And then look in verse fourteen,
-
same chapter. Then I looked and behold the white cloud,
-
and one on the cloud sat like the son of Man,
-
having on his head a golden crown and in his
-
hand a sharp sickle. Christ is coming to reap the
-
harvest of the earth. So these messages go to the
-
world just before the Second Coming. If that's clear, saymen,
-
you neaed the fight that is preaching the Three Angel's messages,
-
warning people about the false teachings of Babylon, warning about
-
the impending mark of the Beast, telling people to worship God,
-
that the time of judgment has come, that judgment must
-
begin at the House of God. All right, number eight,
-
So they'll be proclaiming these three angels messages, and I've
-
just read them to you. First Angel, the Everlasting Gospel.
-
The Gospel has not changed. We are saved by faith
-
in Jesus. It goes to the whole world for to
-
worship the aid. The Sabbath reminds me that God is
-
the Creator, calling people to worship the Creator. Second Angel,
-
Babylon is fallen. Is fallen. That means she's fallen. She's
-
not getting back up. This is a final judgment and
-
God is calling his people. God has his people in
-
Babylon calling her out. Let me tell you real quick
-
what that is dealing with. To understand revelation, you've got
-
to know what the Old Testament. In the Old Testament,
-
the children of Israel were carried off to Babylon because
-
of their faifulness. God, I told you to let the
-
land rest every seven years, let the land keep Sabbath.
-
You've not been doing that. So for the last four
-
hundred and ninety years that you have been ignoring that command,
-
I'm going to make you spend a year in captivity
-
while the land rests. So for seventy years they were
-
captive in Babylon. Now, if you went somewhere and camped
-
out for seventy years. I've only been here a week. Friends,
-
I tell you I am comfortable in my hotel room.
-
I got everything in its place. I got my gizmos,
-
my gadgets, I got my refrigerator, my food story bay.
-
When you camp out somewhere for seventy years, they had
-
their jobs, they had their children, they had their neighbors,
-
They spoke the language. They were assimilated. And God said,
-
after Babylon fell, come out of Babylon. Plagues are going
-
to fall on Babylon. You need to come back to
-
the Promised Land. And they said, Lord, we kind of
-
like it here. He said, you're my people. I want
-
you to come back. Even though it's a little country
-
compared to Babylon. You've got to trust me. The plagues
-
are coming on Babylon. Come out of her, my people.
-
His wife Mesopotamia Babylon. He brought Sarah from Mesopotamia to
-
the Promised Land. Where did Isaac get his wife Mesopotamia?
-
Abraham said, don't let him marry a local girl. The
-
servant went back and got Rebecca from Babylon, brought her
-
to the Promised Land. Where did Jacob get his wife
-
out of Babylon. Rachel actually got four for the price
-
of one. Got Rachel and Leah Zilvan Billha out of Babylon.
-
Back to the Promised Land. You see what's happening here
-
over my people, Back to the land I've given you.
-
Now Here we are in the last days. Babylon is
-
a religious belief system that has infiltrated. You know what
-
it's said in Revelation, Babylon the mother of Harlot, she
-
has a daughters. There's all of these churches. They have
-
a lot of elements of truth, but there's areas where
-
they've departed from the Bible and people have become drunk
-
with the wine of Babylon. And I'll tell you, friends,
-
there are pastors that I see on TV that are
-
begging for people's money. And I think people who believe
-
these guys must be drunk. They are brumpting in twisting
-
the Bible and taking advantage of people. They're not talking
-
to them about sin and repentance and living a holy
-
life and being a witness for Christ. They're talking about
-
everything's gonna be good. God's gonna bless you. You just
-
send me money, plant your seed of faith and everything
-
will be okay with you. And I'm thinking, where are
-
you calling them to repentance? The first words of Jesus
-
were repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.
-
The words of John the Baptist of your sins, turn
-
from sin, be washed in the blood of the Lamb,
-
have the abundant life. They're not being taught the meat.
-
All they're getting is this syrupy What does the Bible
-
teach Amen come out of Babylon. And then you've got
-
the third message. He's not talking when he says Babylon.
-
He's not talking about ancient Babylon. It was destroyed back
-
in the days of Jeremiah. I'm sorry, back in the
-
days of Nehemiah. And it is never going to be
-
rebuilt again, Sir tenth Ancient Babylon. What do you call
-
it to Tom who's saying he's going to rebuild ancient Babylon.
-
And he got stopped both with the first and the
-
second goal war. And you can see a picture there.
-
He built his palace up above the ruins and it
-
is still ruins. God become capital. Third angel's message it
-
says that they if anyone worships the beast and his
-
image and receives his mark on the forehead. We've got
-
a lesson coming on that. Don't miss this week on
-
mark on the forehead of the hand, he himself will
-
drink the wine of the wrath of God. There'll be
-
great judgment on those number nine who will God? To
-
whom will God's Church present these messages having the Everlasting
-
Gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth,
-
to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people. This message is
-
going to go hearing. What specifications has God given in
-
his word to help us identify? Does God give us
-
anything specific to help us to find His remnant church
-
in the last days one it will appear into its
-
visible work after it emerges from its wilderness in seventeen
-
ninety eight. All right, well, let me just stop and
-
tell you something here. I know some of you are thinking, well,
-
pastor Doug, you're going to tell us to join your church.
-
Of course I am if I wasn't telling you that,
-
you're going to be saying, why don't you join the
-
church you think we should join. When I came to
-
Jesus and started reading the Bible, I went to a
-
lot of churches and met a lot of beautiful people,
-
but they all disagreed. I want to know the truth.
-
I want to be able to open up the Bible
-
and give a biblical defense for what I believe. There
-
are so many denominations. How do I make up my mind?
-
While I was living up in the cave in the
-
mountains there, someone brought me a book called The Great Controversy.
-
I don't know if any of you have seen our
-
commercials on Fox Network this week, and have you seen
-
some of the commercials you see Fox News? I see
-
some hands. Yeah, we're airing commercials, seventy commercials. It's the
-
only news channel that would air our irreligious commercials. Brussalem
-
and I hope you will order one of those and
-
read it. It pointed to presenting in this seminar, and
-
I said, this is the truth. Where have these people been?
-
And it led me to the Seventh Day administ Church.
-
The Seventh Day administ Church, I say it's popular, but
-
as I looked at this actual teachings, I said, this
-
is biblical. And I said, I want to go with
-
what the Bible says. So this church meets this criteria. Look,
-
it appears after the visible work after seventeen ninety eight.
-
It rose up in the eighteen hundreds. The thought and
-
its teachings will agree with the Bible. You know what
-
remnant means? I mean or and you order the remnant?
-
I hold up about it gets everyone's attention. Okay, when
-
you go to the store, the cardboard still under and
-
they on the cart. Now you notice what's this? And
-
then you set it off, and then pillows. I want
-
to make some curtains, and so that they start cutting
-
pieces off of the role, right, and they call it
-
a bolt of cloth, and they keep cutting it off,
-
and finally you get this odd shape down at the end,
-
and that's called the remnant. And they usually have them
-
on sale. But you know, the interesting thing about the
-
remnant is what comes off last is what went on first.
-
You with me God's Church in the last days, the
-
remnant is going to be as the church was in
-
the beginning. The Bible says that we are going to
-
return to the faith that was once delivered to the saints.
-
So we're going to have a faith, and we're going
-
to have a religion that's going to be the same
-
as a religion that the apostles were teaching in the beginning.
-
All right, let's keep going. It will proclaim God's three
-
end time messages with a loud voice. Is that the
-
loud reign that I hear. I'm gonna go with that.
-
It'll have those three messages. It'll be proclaiming that to
-
the world. It will be a worldwide movement. It's not
-
just a local congregation. There are some lovely neighborhood churches
-
where every pastor sort of is a law unto himself.
-
But this is a global movement. Do you know that
-
the Seventh day administ Church is the fastest growing Protestant
-
church in the world. I don't even like to call
-
it a denomination as far as I'm concerned, It's a movement.
-
And just in the last couple of years, Karen and
-
I have been to India and Pakistan, in China and
-
Malaysia and South American, Central American. We just we travel
-
all over the world, and everywhere we go we meet
-
these people that are finding Bible truth and they are
-
swarming back to the Word of God, which tells me
-
that Jesus is coming soon. It will teach the same
-
gospel as the end times. While it was around the
-
time of the founding of our country that this church
-
rose up because it had a nurturing, fertilizing place where
-
there was freedom of religion and people could practice their
-
faith here. I am in twenty fourteen. Do you know,
-
Amazing Facts was one of the only groups that was
-
allowed to come into China and preach a full evangelistic
-
series like I'm doing here, except a lot more people.
-
I was able to preach for fifteen nights, the same
-
number of meetings I'm doing here in mainland China, and
-
then they stopped and we are able to videotape it,
-
and the tapes are going around the country this last year.
-
The largest Christian church in India probably third or fourth
-
largest Christian church in the world. The pastor there is
-
a friend of mine, doctor Satish Kumar. He let me
-
preach in his church. I'll tell your friends, if you
-
want to make an evangelist happy. He let him preach
-
to about twenty thousand people. His membership is three hundred
-
and ninety thousand, and they have about five services during
-
the day and all these buildings scattered across and he's
-
got campuses everywhere. And he used to listen to Amazing
-
Facts tapes years ago when he first went into the ministry,
-
so he doesn't believe everything we believe. But he's a
-
Bible preacher, and he is watching. He's letting us share
-
his material. We're sending magazines that he's sharing with his congregation.
-
Things are happening all over the world. Friends, Jesus gave
-
us the seven prophetic identifying marks, and he said, go
-
and find my church. What does Jesus promise if you search?
-
He says, seek and you will find. And the seeking
-
needs to happen in the Bible number twelve. How many
-
church organizations will fit in the word, will fit in
-
the world. I'm sorry, how many church organizations in the
-
world will fit these seven points. There's what one Lord,
-
one faith, one baptism, and they're going to match up
-
with what the teachings of the Scripture are. Going back
-
to the teachings of Bible times number thirteen. Many denominations
-
call themselves Christians. Does that make them God's true church? No?
-
You read in Isaiah chapter four, verse one, in that
-
day seven women, what's a woman? They'll take hold of
-
one man, Jesus saying, we'll lead our own bread, their
-
own idea of the bread of life. Well wear our
-
own apparel, our own idea of righteousness. But we want
-
to be called by your name to take away our reproach.
-
You got all these different churches. They want the name Christianity,
-
but there's a lot of wolves that are scattered in
-
among the sheep. How do you pick a church with
-
all these denominations? Friends, read the ingredients. It's in the
-
Bible number fourteen. Once a person discovers God's true end
-
time church, is it necessary to become a member? Well?
-
Why when did you want to? The Bible says the
-
Lord did what he added to the church daily those
-
who are being saved, who wants to be saved, we
-
must be part of that. Take a stand with God's people,
-
take a stand for God's truth. Membership in God's end
-
time Church were called into one body. That body is
-
the Church First Corinthians, Chapter twelve thirteen. We enter that
-
body by baptism number fifteen. How many ways of escape?
-
Where they're In Noah's day? There was one arc and
-
there was one door, and Jesus said, I am the door.
-
The Bible says that he is the truth. Friends, there
-
aren't multiple truths. Are you aware of that? There is
-
the truth? Jesus is the truth. There is one arc
-
in the last days. Since here's the important question, since
-
there are many faithful Christians in other churches, and since
-
God only has one remnant church in the last days,
-
what's going to happen to these sincere Christians? Answer, Jesus said,
-
other sheep I have that are not of this fold,
-
them also I must bring. They will hear my voice
-
through the word and through the preacher. They will hear
-
my voice, and there will be how many one flock,
-
one fold, one shepherd. When Jesus comes back, do you
-
think he's coming back for church that's scattered through all
-
these different disagreeing denominations, or is there going to be
-
a movement of the spirit that's going to bring people
-
back together based on the Word? Where Christians are going
-
to stand? And I see that movement happening now in
-
North America. You can see people are thinking more about Christianity.
-
But you can be sure there's going to be a
-
polarization to the right and to the left. And we're
-
gonna have to say, we're going to go buy the
-
Bible and what the Bible says, Amen Babylon, the Great
-
is falling, God says, come out of her my people,
-
that you may not share in her sins or receive
-
of her plays. Jesus is calling you today to be
-
part of his people, to enter that ark of safety.
-
You're very precious to him. Now, you got a card
-
when you came in. If you'd reach for that right now,
-
I'd like to invite you to take this card out.
-
Those who are watching you will find this at the
-
website on the internet Prophecy Countdown TV. Please put your
-
contact information on here. You may have a prayer request
-
you just want to put on the back for us.
-
We have a team that will pray for you first
-
and foremost. If you'd like to say I have accepted
-
Jesus as my personal savior, we like to encourage you
-
to make that decision, check that box. Second question, I
-
see from the Bible that God has.
-
A remnant people.
-
In these last days. You can see that God's going
-
to bring his people back. There'll be one fold and
-
one shepherd, and you want to be part of that.
-
Number three. I desire to worship in spirit and truth
-
and would like to join God's remnant people. I want
-
to be part of that movement that is based solely
-
on the word of God. Please mark that on your envelope.
-
Question number four. I still have questions about this subject
-
and I'd welcome help to study it further. You'd maybe
-
like some Bible studies to help you with that, and
-
I'd like you to be praying. Friends. I know that
-
some of you are thinking about getting to your cards
-
or getting to your lunch, but I'd like to have
-
you appreciate this sacred moment today. I presented before you
-
life and good, blessing and cursing death and evil. That's
-
what Moses said to the children of Israel. Jesus wants
-
us to take a stand for the truth. The truth
-
is not to be a burden. Sometimes the truth hurts,
-
but Jesus said, the truth will set you free. God
-
has a plan for your life. You're not hearing this
-
message now by accident. You're not here in this audience
-
by accident. It's because God had a divine appointment. I'd
-
like you to pray and write down on your envelope
-
say Lord, yes, I want to say yes to Jesus.
-
I want to be part of your people. If you've
-
not been baptized biblically, you might include that in the
-
section there and say I'm interested in baptism, or you
-
may have some prayer requests for us. Please write that
-
down and may I pray with you as we close
-
and you make these decisions. After you fill out your envelope,
-
don't just take it home with you. There'll be ushers
-
at the door that will take your envelopes and we'll
-
be praying over that and we'll contact you Father in heaven. Lord,
-
we are thankful for the moving of your spirit in
-
these last days that reminds us that Jesus is coming soon.
-
That you are preaching these three angel messages around the
-
world right now, you're calling people together. I pray that
-
you'll bless each of these people. Some are hearing these
-
things for the first time, and there's a struggle going
-
on in their hearts. Help them to recognize your voice
-
speaking through your word. Pray you'll bless answer any questions
-
that may be lingering, and help them say yes to
-
Jesus and yes to the truth. Bless them all, bless
-
our meetings that follow. We thank you. We pray all
-
these things in Jesus' name. Amen, God, bless you friends.
-
When is our next meeting tomorrow night? No? No, no, no,
-
don't go anywhere yet. Wait, I want to ask you
-
a favor. I'm going to take a picture with you.
-
Is that okay? The next meeting is going to be
-
tonight and it's the Devil and Dead Prophets. You don't
-
want to miss this because, especially with Halloween coming, a
-
lot of people are being to see it by what's happening.
-
So sit there for just a moment. We're going to
-
invite the photographer to come out. We're going to take
-
a selfie together. And but if you all smile, it.
-
Won't take long.
-
Is pastor offs coming? Just me? Okay, smile, don't move
-
if you wave
