  1. Second Peter, Second Peter one one Simeon Peter, a servant

  2. and apostle of Jesus Christ. To those who have obtained

  3. a faith of equal standing with ours by the righteousness

  4. of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, may grace and

  5. peace be multiplied to you. In the knowledge of God

  6. and of Jesus our Lord, his divine power has granted

  7. to us all things that pertain to life and godliness

  8. through the knowledge of Him who called us to his

  9. own glory and excellence, by which He has granted to

  10. us his precious and very great promises, so that through

  11. them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having

  12. escaped from the corruption that is in the world because

  13. of sinful desire. For this very reason, make every effort

  14. to supplement your faith with virtue and virtue, with knowledge

  15. and knowledge, with self control and self control, with steadfastness

  16. and steadfastness, with godliness and godliness, with brotherly affection and

  17. brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours

  18. and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or

  19. unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For

  20. whoever lacks these qualities is so near sighted that he

  21. is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his

  22. former sins. Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to

  23. make your calling an election sure, for if you practice

  24. these qualities, you will never fall, For in this way

  25. there will be richly provided for you and entrance into

  26. the eternal kingdom of our Lord.

  27. And Savior Jesus Christ.

  28. Therefore, I intend always to remind you of these qualities,

  29. though you know them and are established in the truth

  30. that you have, I think it right, as long as

  31. I am in this body to stir you up by

  32. way of reminder, since I know that the putting off

  33. of my body will be soon, as our Lord Jesus

  34. Christ made clear to me, and I will make every

  35. effort so that after my departure, you may be able

  36. at any time to recall these things. For we did

  37. not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to

  38. you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  39. But we were eye witnesses of his majesty. For when

  40. he received honor and glory from God the Father, and

  41. the voice was born to him by.

  42. The majestic glory.

  43. This is my beloved son, with whom I am well pleased.

  44. We ourselves heard this very voice born from heaven, for

  45. we were with him on the Holy mountain. And we

  46. have something more sure, the prophetic word, to which you

  47. will do well to pay attention, as to a lamp

  48. shining in a dark place, until the day dawns.

  49. In the morning star rises.

  50. In your hearts, knowing this first of all, that no

  51. prophecy of scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no

  52. prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but

  53. men spoke from God as they were carried along by

  54. the Holy Spirit two Peter two. But false prophets also

  55. arose among the people, just as there will be false

  56. teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies,

  57. even denying the master who bought them, bringing upon themselves

  58. swift destruction.

  59. And many will follow their sensuality, and.

  60. Because of them, the way of truth will be blasphemed,

  61. and in their greed.

  62. They will exploit you with false words.

  63. Their condemnation from long ago is not idolated, and their

  64. destruction is not asleep. For if God did not spare

  65. angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and

  66. committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept

  67. until the judgment.

  68. If he did not spare the ancient world, but preserve Noah.

  69. A herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought

  70. a flood upon the world of the ungodly, if by

  71. turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes, he

  72. condemned them to extinction, making them an example of what

  73. is going to happen to the ungodly. And if he

  74. rescued righteous lot greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of

  75. the wicked, For as that righteous man lived among them

  76. de after day, he was tormenting his righteous soul over

  77. their lawless deeds that he saw and heard. Then the

  78. Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and

  79. to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment,

  80. And especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling

  81. passion and despise authority. Bold and wilful, they do not

  82. tremble as they blasphem the glorious ones, whereas angels, the

  83. greater and might in power, do not pronounce a blasphemous

  84. judgment against them before the Lord.

  85. But these, like irrational.

  86. Animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed.

  87. Blaspheming about matters of which they are ignorant will also

  88. be destroyed in their destruction. Suffering wrong as the wage

  89. for their wrongdoing, they count it pleasure to revel in

  90. the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their

  91. deceptions while they feast with you. They have eyes full

  92. of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls. They

  93. have hearts trained in greed, Accursed children forsaking the right way,

  94. They have gone astray. They have followed the way of Bailey,

  95. the son of Bior, who loved gain from wrongdoing, but.

  96. Was rebuked for his own transgression.

  97. A speechless donkey spoke with human voice and restrained the

  98. prophet's madness. These are waterless springs and mists driven by

  99. a storm. For them, the gloom of utter darkness has

  100. been reserved for speaking loud boasts of folly. They entice

  101. by sensual passions of the flesh, those who are barely

  102. escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom,

  103. but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes

  104. a person to that he is enslaved. For if after

  105. they have escaped the defilements of the world through the

  106. knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are

  107. again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has

  108. become worse for them than the first.

  109. For it would have been better for them never to have.

  110. Known the way of righteousness, than after knowing it, to

  111. turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. What

  112. the true proverb says has happened to them. The doug

  113. returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself,

  114. returns to wallow in the.

  115. Mire tewod Peter three.

  116. This is now the second letter that I'm writing to you, beloved,

  117. and both of them. Why I am stirring up your

  118. sincere mind by way of reminder that you should remember

  119. the predictions of the Holy prophets and the commandment of

  120. the Lord and Savior through your apostles. Knowing this first

  121. of all, that scoffers will come in the last days

  122. with scoffing, following their own sinful desires, they will say.

  123. Where is the promise of His coming? Forever?

  124. Since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing.

  125. As they were from the beginning of.

  126. Creation, For they deliberately overlook this fact that the heavens

  127. existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of

  128. water and through water by the word of God, and

  129. that by means of these the world that then existed

  130. was deluged with water and perished.

  131. But by the.

  132. Same word, the heavens and earth that now exist are

  133. stored up for fire, being kept until the day of

  134. judgment and destruction of the ungodly. But do not overlook

  135. this one fact of it, that with the Lord, one

  136. day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years

  137. as one day. The Lord does not slow to fulfill

  138. his promise a some counts slowness, but is patience towards you,

  139. not wishing that any should perish, that all should reach repentance.

  140. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief,

  141. and then the heavens will pass away with a roar,

  142. and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved,

  143. and the earth and the works that are done on

  144. it will be exposed.

  145. Since all these things are thus to be dissolved.

  146. What sort of people ought you to be? In lives

  147. of holiness and godliness? Waiting for and hastening the coming

  148. of the Day of God, because of which the heavens

  149. will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly

  150. bodies will melt as they burn. But according to his promise,

  151. we are waiting for new heavens and a new Earth

  152. in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, Beloved, since you are waiting

  153. for these, be diligent to be found by Him without

  154. spot or blemish, and at peace, and count the patience

  155. of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother

  156. Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him,

  157. as he does in all his letters. When he speaks

  158. in them of these matters, there are some things in

  159. them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and

  160. unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the

  161. other scriptures. You, therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care

  162. that you are not carried away with the error of

  163. lawless people and lose your own stability, but grow in

  164. the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

  165. To him be the glory both now and to the

  166. day of eternity.

  167. Amen.
