  1. Few every Bible Hebrews chapter 12.

    Hebrews 12 chapter mention

  2. This our last sermon in the 12th chapter and next week will begin

  3. chapter 13 and finish this long journey through the book of

  4. Hebrews. And today we're going to look

  5. one more time at that Fifth and final warning that the writer of

  6. Hebrews gives to the audience. And whom he is writing.

  7. And so, we need to understand that.

  8. As he writes this letter, he does not know who in the

  9. congregation truly is a possessor of the Messiah, or

  10. just one who professes his commitment to the Messiah, he

  11. doesn't know that. And so all throughout the book,

  12. he gives these different warnings five of them in

  13. particular in this is the fifth one.

  14. And with each warning grow with each, Each warning comes a

  15. growing intensity about what's going to happen to those who

  16. refuse to follow. What the Lord God says.

  17. And in this warning, he wants them to understand that they

  18. need to come to the all sufficient all Supreme King of

  19. the universe because everything about the book of Hebrews said,

  20. us around the supremacy and the sufficiency of Jesus Christ, Our

  21. Lord And so because he is so Supreme and so sufficient, you

  22. need to give your life to him and follow him.

  23. In fact, he says, in verse number 25, see to it that you do

  24. not refuse him, who is speaking. And so all throughout the book

  25. he wants the hearers to examine their lives examinations very

  26. important. He wants them to examine whether

  27. or not. They truly are followers of

  28. Christ, if not, they need to come and follow him.

  29. And in this last warning he makes a contrast between two

  30. mountains. One is Sion, I in one is Zion

  31. Sion, I represents human achievement, Zion represents

  32. Divine accomplishment Sian, I represents man's work, Zion

  33. represents God's work. Sinai is all about the law.

  34. Zion is all about Grace and so he compels them to come to leave

  35. the old Covenant and embrace the New Covenant do not refuse.

  36. The one who is speaking and as he gives These Warnings all

  37. throughout the book, he also helps them understand.

  38. Not just that they need to examine their lives, but their

  39. lives need to be lived in expectation of what's going to

  40. happen. Next, that is so important.

  41. In fact, in chapter 1 of Hebrews, the second verse he

  42. says, Christ is the air of all things because we are joint

  43. heirs with Christ. We then become Heirs of all

  44. things of his. He also says, in chapter 2,

  45. verse number 5, that there is a world that's going to come, what

  46. world is that? And then he says, in chapter 9

  47. verse number 15 that there's a promise of an eternal

  48. inheritance to get the listeners to realize that there's an

  49. inheritance that's going to come in at lasts forever.

  50. But what is that inheritance? And then in chapter 11, he talks

  51. about Abraham, how he was looking for a city whose Builder

  52. and maker is god with city. Is that, And then a Chapter 13

  53. and verse number 14. He says we are seeking the city,

  54. which is To come. so the book of Hebrews is not just about

  55. examination, it's about expectation, living in

  56. expectation of what God's going to do next, This is absolutely

  57. incredibly important. And so the writer of Hebrews

  58. says, very clearly these words see to it that you do not refuse

  59. him. Who is speaking for those who

  60. those did not Escape, when they refused him who warned them on

  61. Earth, much less, will we escape?

  62. Who turn away from him, who warns from heaven?

  63. And his voice shook the Earth then.

  64. But now he promised saying, yet once more, I will shake, not

  65. only the Earth. Earth.

  66. But also the heaven. This expression, yet once more

  67. denotes, the removing of those things which can be shaken.

  68. As of creative things, said those things which cannot be

  69. shaken May remain. Therefore since we receive a

  70. kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude by which

  71. we may offer scuse me to God and acceptable service with

  72. reverence at all. For our God is a consuming.

  73. Fire. He warns them of the Judgment of

  74. God. That that judgments going to

  75. come. And therefore they need to be

  76. able to embrace that, which is unshakable versus that, which is

  77. shakeable. Now all of us know about the

  78. earthquake. The 7.8 earthquake in turkey and

  79. Syria. That as of this morning has

  80. killed over 29,000 people, And probably, it will grow even

  81. larger as the day's progress. Almost 100,000 people have been

  82. injured. and I thought about that, and I thought about, The

  83. number of earthquakes that happen around the world every

  84. year. And there are 500,000

  85. earthquakes that happen every year.

  86. On the planet. 100,000 of them can be felt quite readily. there

  87. are 10,000 earthquakes in Southern California, every

  88. single year. Some of them.

  89. We feel others. We don't.

  90. But isn't it interesting that as the Earth?

  91. Orbits around the sun, it's spinning on its axis.

  92. And as it spins, it always is trembling and shaking.

  93. The second law of Thermodynamics is very important because it

  94. tells us that everything is degrading.

  95. Everything is getting worse, it's not getting any better.

  96. And it's leading to something that's very, very significant as

  97. it comes to our text and Hebrews chapter 12.

    Hebrews 12 chapter mention

  98. And you think of the earthquake in turkey and Syria in realize

  99. how severe it was. And people, always ask the

  100. question. Well, where was God?

  101. When that happened? How come those kind of things

  102. take place? Whether there's an answer in the

  103. scriptures to that that's very very important.

  104. Is found in the 13th, chapter of Luke.

  105. And the Lord says these words in Luke Chapter 13, He says, now on

    Luke 13 chapter mention

  106. the same occasion, there were some president who reported to

  107. him about the galileans. Whose blood pilate had mixed

  108. with their sacrifices. That's a question.

  109. That arose that says, why is it these galileans were going to

  110. worship and pilot would would cut them up and offer them along

  111. with their sacrifices? Why was something like that

  112. happened? And Jesus said to them, do you

  113. suppose that these galileans were greater Sinners than all

  114. other galileans? Because they suffered this fate,

  115. they were sinners. With either worst of any kind of

  116. Sinner that's ever lived as to why they would suffer this fate

  117. while going to worship. He says, I tell you know, but

  118. unless you repent, you will likewise perish.

  119. This is this. What do you suppose that those

  120. eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them were

  121. worst culprits than all the men who live in Jerusalem.

  122. I tell, you know, but unless you repent, You will all likewise.

  123. Parrish. The Lord takes two specific

  124. examples that everyone would know.

  125. One was a natural disaster. a Tower falling over killing 18,

  126. people who just happened to be walking by The other was a plan

  127. to Massacre of those who went to worship.

  128. In the Lord's, answer is quite remarkable.

  129. He never says, you know, you probably need to pray for those

  130. who lost their loved ones. Because I'm sure they're really

  131. suffering right now. Or maybe we should gather some

  132. money together to help those who are suffering.

  133. Is it mean that we should do? Those things understand?

  134. It's very interesting how he answers it.

  135. He answers it from an eternal perspective.

  136. Not he's physical perspective. You see, we look at things on a

  137. natural plane on a temporal plane.

  138. God looks at them from Eternal plane.

  139. We look at physical suffering, he looks at Eternal suffering,

  140. we look at physical pain, he looks at Eternal pain, he weighs

  141. everything in light of Eternity, we weigh everything in light of

  142. what's going to happen to be physically, my loss, my pain. in

  143. Christ, directs them above to help them understand that when

  144. judgment comes. When Calamity comes when

  145. disaster comes as Isaiah 26. Verse number 9 says, God is

  146. known. In his righteousness.

  147. The only way to know the righteousness of God is within

  148. the framework of his judgments. We forget that.

  149. We must understand that. It's a, what the warning is

  150. about, is very significant to us today.

  151. When we look at Hebrews chapter 12 because he says in Hebrews

Hebrews 12 chapter mention Hebrews 12 chapter mention

  152. chapter 12, the expression, yet once more denotes, the removing

  153. of those things, which can be shaken.

  154. As of creative things, said those things which cannot be

  155. shaken May remain. In other words, there's going to

  156. be a shaking There's going to be a shaking unlike the world has

  157. ever seen. And you need to be aware that

  158. the shaking is going to come. Now he quotes from the book of

  159. haggai, that's very important. Remember, he's writing to a

  160. Jewish audience. Very familiar with the Old

  161. Testament. That's why he doesn't say.

  162. Remember the prophet haggai or remember when the psalmist said

  163. didn't say that. All throughout Hebrew Jesus

  164. quotes. The verse why?

  165. Because they're well-versed in the Old Testament.

  166. They know what it says. And they would know about the

  167. shaking of the earth, that's going to come.

  168. They would know that. and so, in the book of haggai, The second

  169. chapter the sixth verse haggai. Along with Zachariah.

  170. Is encouraging the Jews. To begin to rebuild the Temple.

  171. The first temple as you recall was destroyed, when

  172. Nebuchadnezzar came in and 586 BC.

  173. And so he's encouraging them to rebuild that Temple.

  174. As he does verse 6, says, chapter 2 for thus, says the

  175. Lord of hosts. Once more in a little while, I

  176. am going to shake the heavens and the Earth.

  177. That's where the writer of Hebrews gets it the see also in

  178. the dry land. I will shake all the nations.

  179. And they will come. To the desire of the Nations,

  180. and I will fill the house with Glory says, the Lord of hosts.

  181. Who's the desire of the nation's?

  182. Well, that's the Messiah. Malachi 3:1 calls him the

    Malachi 3:1

  183. messenger in whom the Nations Delight.

  184. It's so the prophet haggai is prophesying about this great

  185. shaking, that's going to take place.

  186. When it does, it says, I will fill this house with Glory.

  187. Now, that's very important. Why?

  188. The Book of Ezekiel chapter 43, Ezekiel says the spirit and the

    Ezekiel 43 chapter mention

  189. spirit lifted me up, and brought me into the inner court and

  190. behold the glory of the Lord filled the house very important.

  191. Because earlier, in Ezekiel, 8 to 11, he saw the glory of the

  192. Lord. Depart, he saw the glory of the

  193. Lord rise up, move outside the Eastern Gate.

  194. Cross over the Kidron Brook, rise and rise up the Mount of

  195. Olives go over toward Bethany. And depart.

  196. Interesting, quite ironic. That when our Lord came.

  197. And the glory of the Lord dwelt among us, he would leave

  198. Bethany. Descend, the Mount of Olives.

  199. Crossover the Kidron book. Enter the Eastern Gate.

  200. For the king of glory had arrived.

  201. But they didn't recognize the king of glory. and because the

  202. recognizing, the crucified him, Which, of course was a part of

  203. the plan of God anyway. But Ezekiel sees the glory of

  204. the Lord filling the house of the Lord.

  205. It says in verse number 7 of his equal 43.

  206. He said to me, son of man, this is the place of my throne and

  207. the place of the soles of my feet were.

  208. I will dwell among the sons of Israel.

  209. Forever. So Ezekiel knows about the glory

  210. of the Lord returning to the temple.

  211. Haggai is encouraging them to build the second temple so that

  212. the glory of the Lord will fill the house.

  213. And God's presence will be there. but he says, I'm going to

  214. shake the heavens and I'm going to shake the Earth, but what is

  215. that? When does that happen?

  216. How do we know about this? well, the Book of Joel teaches

  217. us, Joel chapter Two. Joel chapter 2.

    Joel 2 chapter mention

  218. Says verse number one blow a trumpet in Zion and sound an

  219. alarm on my Holy Mountain that the inhabitants of the land

  220. tremble for the day of the Lord is coming.

  221. Surely it is near. What is the day of the Lord.

  222. It's a phrase. Use 19 times in the Old

  223. Testament, six times in the New Testament.

  224. It's an eschatological term and in X term referring to a

  225. specific time in which God intervenes in human history.

  226. For judgment. And Joe tells us.

  227. Today of darkness and Gloom a day of clouds and thick darkness

  228. and verse 10. He says the earth quakes and the

  229. heavens tremble, the Sun and the Moon grow dark and the Stars

  230. lose their brightness, the Lord utters his voice.

  231. Before his army, surely is Camp, is very great for strong.

  232. Is he who carries out his word? The day of the Lord is indeed

  233. great and very awesome who can endure it and other words.

  234. It's a rhetorical question, answer, no one. but it's coming

  235. the day of the Lord when the Lord himself will shake the

  236. Earth, The writer of Hebrews is referring to the book of haggai,

  237. knowing that there's going to come this shaking of just not

  238. the Earth, but the heavens as well.

  239. The prophet Isaiah would speak about this.

  240. Isaiah chapter 13. Isaiah Chapter 13.

Isaiah 13 chapter mention Isaiah 13 chapter mention

  241. Verse number 6, whale for the day of the Lord is near the day

  242. of the Lord. Time to which God intervenes in

  243. human history for judgment. It's different than the day of

  244. God. It's different than the day of

  245. Christ. It's the day of the Lord.

  246. He says you will come as destruction from the almighty.

  247. Therefore, all hands will fall limp in every man's heart will

  248. melt. They will be terrified.

  249. Pains that anguish will take hold of them.

  250. They will rise, like, a woman in labor.

  251. They will look at one another in astonishment, their faces, the

  252. flame, behold, the day of the Lord is coming cruel with Fury

  253. and Burning Anger to make the land a desolation and he will

  254. exterminate it. Sinners from it for the stars of

  255. heaven and their constellations will not flash.

  256. Fourth, their light, the sun will be dark when it rises in

  257. the moon, will not shed, its light.

  258. Thus, I will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for

  259. their iniquity. I will also put an end to the

  260. arrogance of the proud and The Bays, the haughtiness of the

  261. ruthless. I will make Mortal man.

  262. Scare sir than pure gold and Mankind and the go The fear.

  263. Therefore I will make the heavens tremble and the Earth

  264. will be shaken from its place at the fury of the Lord of hosts in

  265. the day of his Burning Anger. Just coming today.

  266. In which the writer of Hebrews refers.

  267. There's coming a day in which the heavens and the Earth are

  268. going to shake. Because God's judgment is going

  269. to come and be poured out on mankind.

  270. And all throughout the Old Testament, God gives warning

  271. after warning after warning. Now, the listeners in the book

  272. of Hebrews. would understand These Warnings, they would

  273. understand Isaiah chapter, 23 when it says, Verse number one,

  274. I'm sorry as he had 24 verse. Number 1, behold, the Lord lays

  275. the Earth, waste devastates, it distorts, it, it surfaced and

  276. scatters, its inhabitants verse 19, the Earth is broken asunder.

  277. The Earth is split through. The Earth is shaken, violently

  278. the Earth reels to, and fro like a drunkard, and it tatars, like

  279. a shack for his transgression is heavy upon it and it will fall

  280. never to rise again. So what happened in that day?

  281. The day of the Lord, that the Lord will punish the host of

  282. heaven. And I, and the kings of the

  283. Earth on the earth, they will be gathered together like prisoners

  284. in the dungeon and will be confined in prison.

  285. And after many days, they will be punished.

  286. Then the moon will be abashed in the sun ashamed.

  287. For the Lord of hosts will rain on Mount Zion in Jerusalem and

  288. His glory will be before his elders. so, all throughout the

  289. Old Testament because Zechariah haggai Joel.

  290. Isaiah. Jeremiah the prophet sworn

  291. concerning the day of the Lord. It's also called the day of

  292. vengeance. To call the day of Wrath, that's

  293. going to come upon the nation. I'll go up on the world upon the

  294. heavens. And so when the writer of

  295. Hebrews says there's coming a time, if you think the shaking

  296. at Mount Sinai was bad, that caused everybody to tremble and

  297. to live in fear, you just wait there's coming a shaking that is

  298. so severe it shakes both the heavens and the Earth.

  299. Now, it's important to realize that when before that happens,

  300. there is a progression of shaking on the planet.

  301. Revelation chapter 6, says it this way.

    Revelation 6 chapter mention

  302. Verse number 12. Remember there are six seals

  303. that span The Book of Revelation or the day of the Lord or the

  304. tribulation. Those Seven Seals span the

  305. entire time when the 7th seal is broken, seven, trumpets, blow

  306. when the seventh trumpet, blows seven bowls are poured out upon

  307. the Earth. They happen in Rapid succession

  308. at the end. but the seventh seal spanned, the tribulation period,

  309. very important to realize that it says that in verse 12 of

  310. chapter 6, I look when he broke the Sixth Seal and there was a

  311. great earthquake and the sun became black, as sackcloth made

  312. of hair in the whole Moon became like blood and the stars of the

  313. sky fell to the Earth as a fig tree casts.

  314. Its unripe figs when shaken by a great win the sky, it was split

  315. apart like a scroll when it is rolled up and every mountain and

  316. Island. Moved out of its place.

  317. Every island Every Mountain. Is moved out of its place.

  318. Then the kings of the earth and the great men, and the

  319. commanders, and the rich, and the strong, and every slave and

  320. free man, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks.

  321. The mountains. And they said to the mountains

  322. and to the Rocks, fall on us and hide us from the presence of him

  323. who sits on the throne and from the Wrath of the Lamb.

  324. For the great day of their wrath is come, and who is able to

  325. stand quite interesting that they know The kings of the

  326. world. Every slave, man.

  327. Every free man. Everyone who exists knows it's

  328. the Wrath. Of the Lamb.

  329. How do they know that? Simply because there are no

  330. atheists have ever existed. They don't exist.

  331. Everybody knows. There's a God.

  332. And they live in fear. you go over to Revelation chapter 8, it

    Revelation 8 chapter mention

  333. says When the lamb broke the seventh seal, verse number one,

  334. there was silence in heaven, for about a half an hour.

  335. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God and seven

  336. trumpets were given to them. Why was the silence in heaven

  337. for about a half hour? Because nobody could believe

  338. what was about to happen next. Another angel came and stood at

  339. the altar holding a golden censer and much incense was

  340. given to him that he might add to it.

  341. The prayers of all the Saints on the golden altar, which was

  342. before the throne. the smoke of the incense with the prayers of

  343. the saints went up before God, out of the Angels hand, then the

  344. angel took the censer and filled it with the fire of the Altar

  345. and true it to the Earth and there followed peals of thunder

  346. sounds and flashes of lightning and A shaking, an earthquake.

  347. When you come to chapter, 16. Chapter 8.

  348. You have the 7 trumpets that blow and when you come to

  349. chapter 16, you have the bowls that are poured out upon the

  350. Earth. It says these words.

  351. In verse number 8, the fourth, Angel poured out his bowl upon

  352. the sun and it was given to it to Scorch men with fire men were

  353. scorched with Fierce heat and they blaspheme the name of God,

  354. who has the power over these plagues and they did not repent.

  355. So, as to give him glory, then the fifth, angel poured out, his

  356. bowl on the throne of the Beast and his kingdom became darkened

  357. and they gnawed their tongues because of pain and blasphemed

  358. the god of Heaven because of their pains and their sores And

  359. they did not repent of their deeds.

  360. Play psalmist said that. God is known by the Judgment.

  361. He executes. God is best known in his

  362. judgments. And so sure enough they

  363. blaspheme the name of God. Why?

  364. Because he recognized? Who it is?

  365. Who's doing this? Says in verse number 18, and

  366. there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder

  367. and there was a great earthquake such as there.

  368. Had not been since man came to be upon the Earth so great an

  369. earthquake was it. And so mighty that the great

  370. city which is Jerusalem was split into three parts and the

  371. cities of the nation's fell Babylon.

  372. The great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the

  373. wine of his Fierce wrath and every island fled away.

  374. We're in the mountains were not found. in Revelation 6 every

  375. island moved every Mountain, moved In Revelation 16 every

  376. Island. Fleas away.

  377. That means, it's out of existence and not one mountain.

  378. Was left to be found. A great shaking.

  379. Huge hailstones about 100 pounds each came down from heaven upon

  380. men and men, blasphemed God, because of the plague of the

  381. hail because it's plague was extremely severe.

  382. God is warning, man. About the ultimate shaking.

  383. That has yet to happen, but it's coming.

  384. And he does it through series of earthquakes and trembling and

  385. shaking upon the Earth. Helping them realize that

  386. judgment is going to come like Christ in.

  387. Luke 13, unless you repent you will all likewise perish.

  388. You see, it's God's grace that gives us warnings about his

  389. impending judgment. He didn't have to give us a

  390. warning. He had to give 120 years warning

  391. to the citizens of Noah's day. But it gave him 120 years of

  392. warning before the floods came. and so, when you come to Peter's

  393. epistle, second Peter chapter 3, he's talks about.

    2 Peter 3 chapter mention

  394. The day of the Lord again. Oh, by the way, did you know

  395. that there are 27 New Testament books?

  396. I'm sure you knew that, right? Of the 27, New Testament books.

  397. 23 emphatic, Lee speak about the return of the Messiah. 23:27.

  398. Two of the remaining four. Speak about it in directly.

  399. The only two books in the New Testament that don't speak about

  400. the return of Christ, Philemon. And second John R, CB third job.

  401. Way to books. Now, think about that. 25 of 27,

  402. New Testament books, speak about the second coming and people say

  403. that eschatology is not that important.

  404. It's all going to end the way God wants the.

  405. It's not that important. If it wasn't that important. 25

  406. of the 27, New Testament books would have said anything about

  407. it. Oh, by the way, just for

  408. reference sake of all the questions asked of Jesus, of all

  409. the questions asked of Jesus that are recorded in the Bible.

  410. There is one. That has the longest answer.

  411. And that one that has the longest answer.

  412. Deals with the second coming. You tell me the second time he's

  413. not important. Of all the answers you could

  414. give. He could say it very quickly

  415. just run right through it but no.

  416. The Olivet discourse is the longest answer given to any

  417. question asked by the Lord because the end is as important

  418. as the beginning. In Genesis 1 is important.

  419. The Book of Revelations important.

  420. If Revelations not important, Genesis 1 is not important.

  421. You can't see what is important. In one's is not or you can't say

  422. one is literal and one is not. You can't do that.

  423. Because that means you're inconsistent and you've got to

  424. be consistent throughout your biblical hermeneutic in terms of

  425. how you interpret scripture. If there are 24 literal days in

  426. the Book of Genesis, which there are not 24, six periods of Ages,

  427. there are six literal days. so, to the Book of Revelation is

  428. literal, meaning that all 254 usages of numbers in the Book of

  429. Revelation are all literal, none of them are symbolic.

  430. Very important why? Because Jesus wants you to know

  431. he's coming again and he wants you to know the events

  432. surrounding his return. And all that's going to take

  433. place, why? Because it's all about the

  434. warning of impending judgment. Because unless you repent, you

  435. will all likewise perish. You need to know he's coming

  436. again. And so Peter says that this way.

  437. The day of the Lord verse 10 is second.

  438. Peter 3 will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass

  439. away with a roar in the elements will be destroyed with intense

  440. Heat and the earth and its works.

  441. Will be burned up since all these things are to be destroyed

  442. in this way. What sort of people ought you to

  443. be in holy conduct and godliness looking for, and hastening the

  444. coming of the day of God's different than the day of the

  445. Lord? Man has his day.

  446. Satan has had his day. Now, God will have his day.

  447. In the Eternal state. Looking for, and hastening the

  448. coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens

  449. will be destroyed by burning. And the elements will melt with

  450. intense heat. But according to his promise, we

  451. are looking for a new Heaven and a new Earth in which

  452. righteousness dwells Matthew chapter 24. which is that long

    Matthew 24 chapter mention

  453. answer to the one question asked by our Lord He says immediately

  454. after the tribulation of those days, Matthew 24 do not happen

  455. in 70 AD, it's impossible for that to take place.

  456. How do we know that? Because the events parallel with

  457. Revelation chapter 6 and following throughout the Book of

    Revelation 6 chapter mention

  458. Revelation, And because Revelation was written in 96

  459. a.d., not before 70 AD, how do we know that?

  460. This is where my replacement theology, guys.

  461. Get it all wrong. You don't know the history.

  462. Very important. John was exiled under the reign

  463. of domitian. He ruled between 81.

  464. In 98 ad. It was Vespasian who ruled

  465. before 70 AD. So you have to understand the

  466. history of when John was exiled to Patmos to realize that

  467. Revelation is a leader writing. Not an earlier writing so,

  468. Revelation, Matthew 24 could not have taken place before 70 AD

  469. because all that parallels with the events of Revelation 6

  470. through 19, So says the first number 29, but immediately after

  471. the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and

  472. the moon will not give its light and the Stars will fall from the

  473. sky. The powers of the heavens will

  474. be shaken and then the sign of the son of man will appear in

  475. the sky and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn.

  476. And they will see the son of man coming on the clouds of the sky

  477. with power and great glory. And he will send forth his

  478. angels with a great trumpet. And they will gather together

  479. his elect from the Four Winds from one end of the sky.

  480. By to the other. Here is coming is shaking.

  481. In which the writer of Hebrews. So eloquently States.

  482. Yet once more, I will shake, not only the Earth, but also the

  483. heaven. This expression yet once more

  484. denotes, the removing of those things, which can be shaken.

  485. As of creative things, said those things which cannot be

  486. shaken May remain. In other words, there's coming

  487. today. It's called the day of the Lord.

  488. In which there will be many shakings that take place.

  489. Could include the islands, being removed, the mountains being

  490. removed and people dying. Indeed, there's coming one great

  491. shaking at the end of that time at the end of the tribulation,

  492. at the end when Christ comes in all of his glory.

  493. And by the way, the glory of the Lord will fill the house.

  494. And the glory of the Lord will reign on top of Mount Zion.

  495. Why? Because Zacharias, 6, 12 or 13,

  496. says that the Messiah will build his Temple?

  497. Messiah is going to build this Temple.

  498. The Jews believe today that they're going to build the tent,

  499. the Third Temple, right? And they are but then I going to

  500. build it for the Messiah, they're going to go there for

  501. the antenna sign. Zacharias, sixth is the fourth

  502. temple, verses 12 to 13, which the Lord himself will build, and

  503. His glory, would dwell in that Temple.

  504. And his feet as he says, in the book of Isaiah, will dwell, the

  505. soles of his feet will. I'm sorry, Ezekiel 43, the soles

  506. of his feet will stand on top of Mount, Zion in Rule and Reign

  507. Over His People Israel. it's a promise that God has given and

  508. after he does that, after the millennial reign of Christ will

  509. come and shaking that will destroy all heaven and all

  510. Earth, and they'll be a new Kevin and a new Earth.

  511. Where righteousness dwells But it's interesting to note.

  512. That part of Israel's worship centered around the belief.

  513. In the god of the universe. Which establishes their

  514. well-being. So they will never be shaken. it

  515. says, in Psalm 16 these words, I Will Bless The Lord who has

  516. consoled me and deed my mind instructs me in the night.

  517. I have set the Lord continually before me because he is at my

  518. right hand I will not be shaken. I will not be shaken.

  519. Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices, My Flesh.

  520. Also will dwell securely. And then over in chapter 55,

  521. verse number 22, cast, your burden upon the Lord.

  522. He will sustain you, he will never allow the righteous to be

  523. shaken. Over in chapter 62 it says my

  524. soul waits in silence for God Only from him is my salvation.

  525. He only is my rock and my salvation.

  526. My stronghold. I shall not be greatly shaken.

  527. He repeated again down in verse number 6, he only is my rock and

  528. my salvation, my stronghold. I shall not be shaken.

  529. I'm gone. My salvation and my glory rests,

  530. the rock of my strength, my refuge is in In God.

  531. So important. Psalm 1 says in Psalm 112,

  532. praise the Lord. How blessed is the man who

  533. fears? The Lord who greatly Delights in

  534. his commandment 46? He will never be shaken.

  535. The righteous will be remembered forever.

  536. Proverbs chapter 10 verse number 28, the hope of the righteous is

    Proverbs 10 chapter mention

  537. gladness, but the expectation of the wicked perish has the way of

  538. the Lord is a stronghold to the upright, but ruined to the

  539. workers of iniquity. The righteous Will Never Be

  540. Shaken. So the Hebrew audience, reading

  541. the letter, written to them by the writer of Hebrews.

  542. Understands what it means to Never Be Shaken.

  543. Because of the Old Testament. They understand of a great

  544. shaking that's going to come because the profits that

  545. prophesied about that. So they would know these things

  546. you see. So, it's important for us to

  547. realize that that God has a progressive amount of judgments

  548. that will come. They happen today.

  549. Sporadically, there are hurricanes.

  550. There are tornadoes, there are earthquakes.

  551. There are fires and their judgments that come from God to

  552. warn you of the impending judgment.

  553. That's going to come to help you understand that the physical

  554. suffering is not near what you need to worry about, but the

  555. Eternal suffering of Lost Souls. To get you to think about your

  556. Eternal Destiny. Not be preoccupied with your

  557. physical opportunities. And as a day, the Lord draws

  558. they will be Progressive shaking and fire and earthquakes the

  559. judgments of God upon the Earth, why?

  560. So man will begin to realize the Indus coming.

  561. We read in Revelation 6 as well as Revelation chapter 16 that

    Revelation 16 chapter mention

  562. they would blaspheme the name of the Lord.

  563. They would not repent even though they knew it was the god

  564. of the universe, the lamb in his wrath, they knew that But it

  565. would not repent. But the king is going to come.

  566. Instead of his kingdom, and they will be shaking.

  567. So he says, the writer of Hebrews.

  568. Since we receive a kingdom, which cannot be shaken which is

  569. Mount Zion, it cannot be shaken. It's a study of the of the great

  570. king. Zion represents that we told you

  571. the authority in glory of the Messiah.

  572. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom, which

  573. cannot be shaken. Let us show.

  574. Gratitude, let's be thankful that were part of an unshakable

  575. Kingdom, by which we may offer to God, acceptable worship with

  576. reverence and awe for our God is a consuming Fire.

  577. What he is? A consuming fire.

  578. And that's how he ends his Fifth and final warning to his

  579. audience. He wants them to know that this

  580. is going to happen. They would know because they

  581. read the Old Testament. We know because we can go back

  582. and read the Old Testament and we have the Book of Revelation

  583. that explains to us the coming in and how it all unfolds before

  584. us, we can see those things we can read about them.

  585. Somebody might say, but I don't want to be a part of the

  586. shakeable Kingdom. I want to be a part of the

  587. unshakable Kingdom. How do I do that?

  588. You can't stay at Sinai. Can't climb the mountain on

  589. human achievement. You got to go to Mount, Zion.

  590. Mount Calvary Mount Moriah. The mount where Christ's work

  591. was accomplished for you that you might Embrace what he did

  592. his finished work on Calvary cross.

  593. And come to him and balance the mission to his lordship.

  594. We follow him. Because our God is a consuming

  595. fire. Let's pray.

  596. Father, we thank you for today and the opportunity to give us a

  597. study your word. How great it is to know.

  598. That you so clearly. Map out the future.

  599. It's not ambiguous. It's very clear.

  600. It's very concise. You wanted to make sure we

  601. understood it. Because Lord, at the Apostle,

  602. Paul said, knowing the terror of the lord we persuade men.

  603. He knew. He knew the fierce anger of his

  604. God. He knew the coming wrath of God.

  605. He did all he could to persuade men to give their life to Christ

  606. today. They're beating one Among Us.

  607. Lord. We persuade them, come to come

  608. today to the king. Come to Mount, Zion the city of

  609. the Living. God the place where Jesus is for

  610. God. The judge is that will forgive

  611. you of your sins. And take you into his kingdom.

  612. The unshakable kingdom of God. Pray this in Jesus name.

  613. Amen.
