  1. Job chapter 19. Job chapter 19.

Job 19 chapter mention Job 19 chapter mention

  2. And as you are turning, I want to read to you.

  3. Something that was Anonymous, but is apropos for our time

  4. together in the book of jokes night.

  5. It's called the Builder. I saw them tearing it, building

  6. down a group of men in a busy town with a hefty.

  7. Blow in a Lusty. Yell, they swung with zest and a

  8. side wall fell asked the foreman are.

  9. These skilled are these men skilled.

  10. The kind, you would hire if you had to build, he looked at me

  11. and laughed. No indeed.

  12. Unskilled. Labor is all I need.

  13. Why they can wreck in a day or two when it has taken Builders

  14. years to do? I asked myself, as I went my

  15. way, which of these roles have, I tried to play, it might

  16. Builder with Rule and square measuring and constructing with

  17. skill and care. Or am I a wrecker who walks the

  18. town content with the business of tearing down?

  19. Jobs friends were content with the business of tearing down.

  20. They were a wrecking crew. They were not a building crew.

  21. And they were actually very good at what they did.

  22. I'm not so sure. They they said around thinking

  23. about how to wreck job's life, I'm not sure that was their

  24. intention. But in doing so in their

  25. conversation they were assaulting him and abusing him.

  26. And so when you think about the Book of Job, you're always drawn

  27. to things that our Lord has said in the New Testament when James

  28. says he's worked in James 126. If anyone thinks himself to be

  29. religious and yet does not Bridle his tongue.

  30. But to seize his own heart. This man's religion.

  31. Is worthless. James is a great book, James

  32. about. You say, you have faith.

  33. Show me. Demonstrated.

  34. And so he says, very clearly one of the evidences of True

  35. Religion. Genuine faith.

  36. Is the ability to Bridal one's tongue. because if you can't

  37. control your tongue and you say, you love the Lord, then your

  38. religion is is worthless. He goes on in the third chapter,

  39. in expounds on this. He says 4 verse 2 of chapter 3.

  40. For we, all stumble in many ways.

  41. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect

  42. man or a mature, man able to Bridle the whole body as well.

  43. Now, if we put the bits into horse's mouth, so that they will

  44. obey us, we direct their entire bodies.

  45. Well, look at the ships also though, they are so great, and

  46. are driven by strong. Winds are still directed by a

  47. very small Rudder, whoever the inclination of the pilot

  48. desires. So also the tongue is a small

  49. part of the body and yet it boasts of great things.

  50. See how great a forced is set aflame by such.

  51. Such a small fire. And the tongue is a fire, the

  52. very world of iniquity. The tongue is said, among our

  53. members as that, which two files the entire body and sets on fire

  54. the course of our life and it's set on fire by hell for every

  55. species of beasts and birds of reptiles and creatures of the

  56. sea is teamed and has been Tamed.

  57. But human race that no one contained the tongue.

  58. It is a Restless evil and full of deadly poison with it.

  59. We bless our Lord and our father and with it, we curse men who

  60. have been made in the likeness of God from the same mouth.

  61. Come both blessing and cursing my brethren.

  62. These things ought not to be this way.

  63. There's a fountain send out for the same opening both fresh and

  64. bitter. Water going to fit tree my

  65. brethren produce olives or a Vine Bruce fakes, nor can salt

  66. water. Produce fresh.

  67. The tongue is that which defiles?

  68. the tongue is that which destroys the tongue is that

  69. which derails people's lives? Jobs friends were in the process

  70. of trying to derail job. Trying to get him to to think

  71. differently about himself, then what really was in his heart.

  72. It was true about him. It's interesting that the Bible

  73. says that no man can tame the tongue but you can take that

  74. beast of the sea. Think about that.

  75. My kids were younger, we used to take a yearly journey to

  76. SeaWorld that was way back. When when people could actually

  77. ride Shamu in the water, they can't do that anymore.

  78. But back in those days, you could And think about it, you

  79. could team Shamu so much so that you could ride on his back.

  80. You can go down into the water, have them throw you up out of

  81. the water and then pick you up. Again, this is amazing scene to

  82. be able to watch Shamu there at SeaWorld and realize that they

  83. were able to train this huge whale to do things.

  84. That are virtually incredible. But the tongue just a really

  85. small sliver of a thing. That cannot be tamed.

  86. It's like a fire that sets, a blaze of forest.

  87. It could be so destructive. So the tongue is that which

  88. defiles and the tongue is that which defies ever being Tamed

  89. But the tongue also displays the reality.

  90. Of our intermediate. Who we really are.

  91. And so, as you think about what James says, about the tongue, in

  92. the things that Solomon has even said in the Book of Proverbs

    Proverbs 12 chapter mention

  93. chapter 12, verse number 18, there is one who speaks for

  94. rashly like the thrust of a sword.

  95. But the tongue of the wise brings healing.

  96. That tells you that the men surrounding job were not wise

  97. men because they weren't bringing healing to the life of

  98. Job. Someone would say in chapter 15

  99. verse number, for a soothing tongue is a tree of life, but

  100. perversion in it crushes. The spirit.

  101. Instead of being like a tree of life, with words that bring

  102. healing to job. Those words were crushing, job,

  103. vexing him smashing his life on top of all the other problems

  104. that he faced. David, very similarly said in,

  105. in psalm 57 verse number for these words, my soul is among

  106. Lions. I must lie among those who

  107. breathe forth, fire even the sons of men whose teeth are

  108. Spears and arrows and their tongue, a sharp sword.

  109. David would know about how people's words would would crush

  110. him. In Psalm 64 verse.

  111. Number one hear my voice. Oh God, in my complaint,

  112. preserve my life from The Dread of the enemy hiding me from the

  113. secret Council of evildoers, from the tumult of those who do

  114. iniquity, have sharpened their tongue like a sword.

  115. They ain't bitter speech as their Arrow to shoot from

  116. concealment at the blameless. Suddenly they shoot at him and

  117. they do not fear David's life. He faced much criticism Much

  118. verbal abuse. Job faced even greater abuse

  119. because he faced it every single day from the people that were

  120. his friends, David had lots of enemies. and jobs friends were

  121. not as enemies per se, but they acted as if they were his

  122. enemies. And so, as bildad last week,

  123. assaulted job and abused job job, now is going to respond in

  124. the way. He responds is quite remarkable

  125. and the way he responds is the way that we can learn how to

  126. respond because what you're going to learn about jobs

  127. response is what helps him, keep the proper perspective and the

  128. perspective that job has on his God.

  129. Is that which blows the mind of the believer today?

  130. And you're going to see that. We're going to begin.

  131. By looking at how job is, is crushed by their speeches.

  132. How he is consumed Point number two with his suffering, but how

  133. job is confident in his savior? Three very simple points, but

  134. three points that will bring home to us the reality of what

  135. we need to know. When it comes to handling a

  136. perspective that keeps us energized in the service of the

  137. king, So we'll begin job, 19 verse number 1, then job

  138. responded. How long will you torment me and

  139. crush me with words they were questioned.

  140. They were using their words to, to corrupt his life and to ride

  141. his life. These ten times you have

  142. insulted me, you are not ashamed to wrong.

  143. Neither, there's no shame in your words.

  144. You don't even blush when you speak.

  145. These ten times is not a literal 10 times.

  146. How do we know that we know that?

  147. Because 10 is a number of phonus?

  148. We know that when we read Genesis 31 verse number 7, where

  149. Jacob spoke of Laban changes in wages ten times over numbers

    Numbers 14:22

  150. 14:22, God said of Israel that they tend to him ten times in

  151. the wilderness in Daniel 11 verse number 20, Daniel and his

  152. friends found to be 10 times better than the wise man in

  153. Babylon. It wasn't that they were

  154. actually 10 times better or that.

  155. There are actually 10 times at Laban increases wages.

  156. It's a number of fullness you have 10 fingers, right?

  157. 10 fingers on your hands, your hands are full.

  158. You have 10 toes on your feet. So 10 is the number of fullness.

  159. And so when you speak of that, you understand that Israel fully

  160. tempted, God in the wilderness during their time when they left

  161. Egypt and they wandered, they continue.

  162. To tempt. God, it was a continual fullness

  163. of their tempting and coming against God.

  164. Job says, you have insulted me these ten times.

  165. In other words, he has been filled with their Temptations.

  166. He's been filled with their insults.

  167. It's a never-ending continually continual insult against his

  168. life, This is the first number for, even if I have truly aired,

  169. my error, lodges with me. The other words, if I have

  170. intent, unintentionally sinned, and maybe I have and none of us

  171. knows, actually all of our sins. But he says, if I have erred, if

  172. I have sinned unintentionally, God knows this.

  173. And God will judge me for it because God knows everything.

  174. He says, in verse number 5, indeed you vote yourselves

  175. against me, improve my disgrace to me.

  176. In other words, you're set on one purpose, that's the ACT

  177. arrogantly against me says down in verse number 21.

  178. Pity Me, Pity Me. Oh, you my friends, you show, no

  179. compassion verse 22. Why do you persecute me as as

  180. God does? And then he says in verse number

  181. 28, if you say how shall we persecute him and what pretext

  182. for a case against him, can we find Verse 29, then be afraid of

  183. the sword for yourselves for wrath.

  184. Brings the punishment of the sword so that you may know.

  185. There is Judgment job knows that by your words.

  186. You shall be judged by your words.

  187. You shall be condemned. Those were the words of Christ.

  188. He knows that that their words are going to bring forth

  189. judgment upon them. So be careful how you say what

  190. you're saying. Be careful what you say and when

  191. you say it, So he expresses how they have vexed him, how they

  192. have crushed him with their speeches, but then he begins to

  193. say these words as he is consumed with his suffering, he

  194. makes two main points, one, he's afflicted by God, excuse me, a

  195. number two, he's abandoned by his friends.

  196. Look at verse number 6, know, then that God has wronged me and

  197. it's closed his net. Around me, he's trapped me now.

  198. It's not a job. He's been running from God and

  199. got trapped him and threw a net around him and ensnared him.

  200. That's not the point because he's not running from guys like

  201. Jonah, who who ran from God, because he didn't want to go to

  202. the ninevites and he ran the opposite direction and God has

  203. stared him in the belly of a fish.

  204. That's not the case. Joe's not running from God at

  205. all. And yet, he understands that God

  206. in his sovereignty is somehow behind all this.

  207. He just doesn't understand it. He can't grasp it, he's looking

  208. for answers. Look down at verse number. 21

  209. for the hand of God has struck me.

  210. Think about that statement. The hand of God has struck me

  211. now. Is it true?

  212. Yes. Is it false?

  213. Yes. Okay, both are true.

  214. How do we know go back to chapter 1, go back to chapter 1.

  215. in chapter 1, Satan says These words put forth your hand now

  216. and touch all that he has verse 11, he will surely curse you to

  217. your face. Then the Lord said to Satan

  218. behold all that he has is in your hand.

  219. Only do not put forth your hand on him.

  220. So Satan says if you touch him with your hand and God says no,

  221. you put forth your hand and your butt, your hand cannot kill him.

  222. And then over in chapter 2, Chapter 2.

  223. Job says our God says again. Our or Satan says answers.

  224. The Lord and said, verse number 4 skin for skin.

  225. Yes. All that a man has he will give

  226. for his life. However put forth your hand now

  227. and touch his bone and his flesh, he will curse you to your

  228. face. So the Lord said to Satan

  229. behold, he is in your hand only spare his life.

  230. So is it God's hand is touching him?

  231. Or is it Satan's hand that's touching him?

  232. See what job is doing? Is recognizing that God is

  233. behind everything. All things Romans 11 must pass

  234. through him back to him again because he oversees everything

  235. he's control of everything. Yeah, he didn't have chapter one

  236. to look at to understand what's happening.

  237. That Satan is actually involved in the flicking his life and

  238. taking these things from him but God is allowing Satan to do

  239. that. So God said to Satan, you put

  240. forth your hand, you want to touch my servant touch him, but

  241. you can't do this, you can't, you can touch it whatever he

  242. has, but you can't touch him, then you can touch him, but you

  243. can't kill him. So God gave restraints to Satan.

  244. So in job says, it's God who has struck me.

  245. He is speaking of God, in a sovereign control, over

  246. everything. Somehow God is behind this.

  247. He just can't articulate it. You just can't explain it and he

  248. certainly doesn't understand why or how a lot like you and me.

  249. We go through times and we just don't get it.

  250. We don't understand why the conflict.

  251. Why the conflict last so long? Why the hardship is?

  252. As severe as it is. When will it ever let up?

  253. We do. Oh no.

  254. And Joe goes on a since this. Look at this, he says, behold I

  255. cry violence but I get no answer.

  256. I shout for help but there is no justice in other words who's

  257. going to vindicate me, I cried to the Lord.

  258. But this is where God wants them.

  259. You see, we forget this. That God wants us to come to

  260. him, and God wants us to cry out to him and Luke 11.

  261. And Luke 18, talk about persistence and prayer and

  262. patience and prayer and how how important it is for us to

  263. persistently. But beseech, the throne of

  264. grace. That's why God says, keep on

  265. asking, keep on seeking, keep on knocking, don't stop.

  266. Because God wants us to continually come to him and so

  267. God allows things to go as long as they do.

  268. Why? Well, Luke 18 tells us.

  269. Will he find this kind of faith upon the Earth?

  270. What kind the kind of Faith that's persistent and patient?

  271. That does not quit beseeching God and asking God to step in

  272. and do what he's going to do. So Joe says, in verse number 8,

  273. he has walled up my way so that I cannot pass.

  274. He has put Darkness on my path. He has, he has no way of knowing

  275. where he's going or what's going to happen next.

  276. Because everything in front of, in front of him is dark, there

  277. was a time. When everything in front of him

  278. was bright is his kids were happy.

  279. Yeah, he was healthy. Things are going along really

  280. well. He could see the future, with

  281. his kids, his grandkids great-grandkids, how things were

  282. going to grow. He could see the future, but not

  283. now, it's completely dark. It's completely Bleak because

  284. everything's been rolled in around him, he cannot see, but

  285. God has him right? Where he wants him.

  286. They may learn to trust The true and living God.

  287. It says verse 9. He is stripped my honor from me

  288. and remove the crown from my head.

  289. He breaks me down on every side and I am I'm gone he is uprooted

  290. My Hope like a tree. He is also kindled his anger

  291. against me and considered me as his enemy.

  292. His troops come together and build up their way against me

  293. and Camp around my tent is question, simply is I don't

  294. understand. I don't get it.

  295. I am hemmed in. I am caught.

  296. I am trapped. I am walled in.

  297. Everything around me is completely dark.

  298. I cannot see where to go. I don't know what to do.

  299. We can understand that. We get to those places.

  300. With a lot less suffering, the jobs going through.

  301. And he's just crying out to God because he feels like he's been

  302. attacked by God. And then abandoned by his

  303. friends, he's consumed with the stuff.

  304. We look at this verse 13. He has removed my brother's far

  305. from me and my acquaintances are completely estranged from me.

  306. Hey, listen, next time. You think you're lonely.

  307. Read this passage of scripture. All right, it'll open your eyes.

  308. Look what. He says, my relatives have

  309. failed in my intimate friends have forgotten me.

  310. Those who live in my house and my mates.

  311. Consider me a stranger. I'm a foreigner in there.

  312. I called to my servant and he does not answer.

  313. I have to implore him with my mouth.

  314. My breath is offencive to my wife.

  315. That could be applied to most of you men and I am loathsome to my

  316. own brother's. Even young children despise me

  317. and rise up and they speak against me all my associates, a

  318. poor me and those I love have turned against me on top of all

  319. that verse 20, my bone clings to my skin and my flesh and I have

  320. escaped only by the skin of my teeth.

  321. Not only have my friends, abandoned me, not only have my

  322. family, abandoned me not only have my servants abandon me.

  323. Me and those who are intimate friends with me but also

  324. children who are my acquaintances, abandoned me in

  325. even my own health has abandoned me.

  326. Talk about lonely. Talk about isolation, talk about

  327. having, no one that's job. The next time you think you have

  328. nobody cares and no one's interested in what's going on

  329. your life and your family. Abandons you and your friends

  330. have been in. You had no more friends, just

  331. read job. Because Joe had nobody and the

  332. three guys that ride around them, but they were as far from

  333. him as the East is from the West.

  334. And so after he expresses how consumed he is the suffering,

  335. now you're going to see his confidence in his savior.

  336. And what he says is absolutely astonishing.

  337. Verse 23. Oh, that my words were written.

  338. Oh, that they were inscribed in a book.

  339. That was an iron stylus and Lead, they were engraved in the

  340. rock. Forever.

  341. I just wish that someone would write this down little, do you

  342. know, it would be written to write.

  343. If someone could just record my suffering, if someone could just

  344. record my statements, oh, that it would always be there for

  345. someone to read to understand. In no idea.

  346. That they were going to be written down.

  347. None. But they were.

  348. In the living and abiding word of God. those who were there at

  349. the time, those who Who saw him they've all died and gone off

  350. the scene. The exact location of this.

  351. We have no idea. but the words that were spoken, To him and the

  352. words that he spoke to others. They have been recorded.

  353. And God did that out of his grace and mercy and kindness.

  354. So one day you would pick up the book begin to read the book and

  355. to realize that what you're going through is not nearly as

  356. intense as what job is going through.

  357. But more than that, he wants you to have a confident perspective

  358. in God. Because Joe did. so, listen to

  359. what job says, Verse 25, as for me, I know that my redeemer

  360. lives at the last. He will take his stand on the

  361. earth. Even after my skin is destroyed

  362. yet from my flesh. I shall see God whom I myself

  363. Shall Behold. And who my eyes will see, and

  364. not another my heart faints Within Me.

  365. What a statement? Job has already made one great

  366. confession. This is his second great

  367. confession. His first one is when chapter 9

  368. verse number 10, where he says, who does great things and

  369. fathomable and wondrous Works without number.

  370. And we told you at that time in chapter 9 verse number 10 that

  371. though that that verse unlocks for job the mystery of God and

  372. unfolds for job, the meaning of God This one in job, 19, unveils

  373. to us the ministry of God and unleashes us unleashes for us,

  374. the message. From God, this is a Monumental

  375. statement that expresses everything we need to know about

  376. God, to get us through whatever trial were on or in.

  377. So I'm going to give you seven words, this was going to be my

  378. Resurrection Sunday sermon. But I decided to give it to you

  379. early and save it for another year because I've already

  380. written this year's Resurrection Sunday sermon.

  381. Okay, but this one day will come back again but with greater

  382. detail, but what job says is Monumental because number one

  383. that expresses it expresses Jobs intensity. expresses his

  384. intensity free says, for I know, let's say, I guess, I think if

  385. my memory serves me correct, you know, I know.

  386. That my redeemer lives. There is no question about that.

  387. This is a statement of confidence.

  388. It's a statement of intensity. Why?

  389. Because there's passion behind it then say, well, you know, I

  390. think I know My Savior Lives. No, I know my redeemer lives,

  391. there's intensity behind the statement.

  392. There's passion behind the statement, their strength,

  393. behind the statement. There's no question behind it.

  394. There's no wondering behind it. There's no thinking behind it.

  395. It's I know that my redeemer lives.

  396. The question is, do you because it's so important.

  397. Which begs the question? How does he know?

  398. How can he possibly know that his Redeemer Lives?

  399. How would job ever understand this?

  400. Is that God somehow is going to unveil to him?

  401. Something that he has not unveiled to his three friends.

  402. Maybe. What is it about job?

  403. That he knows something that his friends do not know.

  404. That will allow him to speak with great intensity.

  405. Great Passion. Great certainty great

  406. confidence. I know that my redeemer lives,

  407. what a statement. Faith is always rooted.

  408. In what God has already said. so if it's a statement of

  409. conviction, which is a statement of assurance, which it is, I

  410. know that my redeemer lives, he has to know something about his

  411. Redeemer. He's have, he would have had to

  412. have heard something from someone about his Redeemer, he

  413. couldn't go down to the library, pick up some books, and read

  414. some theology treaty on the God and His Redemptive purposes.

  415. There was no book of the Bible to read Because jobs the first

  416. book written in the Bible. So there's nothing for him to

  417. read about the Bible. But he knows.

  418. He knows more than we know about Our Redeemer.

  419. And he doesn't have the 66 books that you have in your hand.

  420. How did he know? Stay with me.

  421. This is so incredibly good. I told you early on that job was

  422. a contemporary of Abraham. He lived After the flood, okay?

  423. Little patriarchal times that's why he was performing Priestly

  424. duties with his children, in chapter 1, offering of

  425. sacrifices for them right on their behalf.

  426. So is before the levitical priesthood, so is during the

  427. patriarchal time so he lived during the time of Abraham,

  428. Isaac, and Jacob. And so what happened with

  429. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob had to have been passed down to them as

  430. well. So we know that what was passed

  431. down from the very beginning was a promise.

  432. In Genesis chapter 3 verse number feet, 15 of a seed of a

    Genesis 3 chapter mention

  433. woman that would crush the Serpent's head.

  434. This would be all passed down verbally for Generation to

  435. generation. And as it was being passed down,

  436. we know that able because we studied Hebrews chapter 11 and

    Hebrews 11 chapter mention

  437. if you're with his way back in the year 2000, you were with us.

  438. When we studied the Book of Genesis And you know, that Abel

  439. offered an acceptable sacrifice in the God.

  440. How did Abel know how to do that?

  441. Because his parents taught him how to offer an acceptable

  442. sacrifice. And Cain sacrifice was not

  443. accepted by God. Because Abel's was a blood

  444. sacrifice. In Cannes was not a blood

  445. sacrifice, see new about that. They knew about atonement for

  446. sin and forgiveness of sins. But Abraham if he was

  447. contemporary of Abraham, he would know.

  448. He would know something about Mount Moriah he would know

  449. something about substitutionary atonement.

  450. He would know something about a sacrifice that he went up on

  451. Mount Moriah to offer in this would be being passed down from

  452. generation to generation because Abraham, the father of the

  453. Jewish, faith would be one, who would teach others concerning

  454. substitutionary sacrifice. Now, the angel of the Lord would

  455. stop him from killing his own son.

  456. Sun and we provide a substitute on the mountain called for seen

  457. by God. All that would be given to pass

  458. down. So he would know something about

  459. atonement, something about forgiveness, because he would

  460. act as he preached for his children, in chapter, 1 to offer

  461. sacrifices for them. So he learned well, he listened,

  462. well, he obtained the knowledge. Well, We knew he was God fearing

  463. we know he's up, right? And we know that Abraham was

  464. justified by faith. He was declared righteous.

  465. Right. Abraham was Book of Genesis 15

  466. chapter. So, if Abraham was declared

  467. righteous and Joe was an upright, man, that his

  468. righteousness was given to him by God as Abraham's was, he knew

  469. about Grace because Noah was graced by God, Genesis chapter

    Genesis 6 chapter mention

  470. 6, he survived the flood. And Noah's Three Sons Shem, ham

  471. and japheth would pass down the fact that they have been graced

  472. by God. So you're certain of the grace

  473. of God. So he says, I know.

  474. That My Redeemer Lives. It's an expression of intensity,

  475. but note, this is an expression of intimacy.

  476. I know that my redeemer lives, you don't see.

  477. I know that your Redeemer Lives he didn't say, I know there is a

  478. redeemer he didn't say, I think there's a redeemer He says, I

  479. know that my redeemer lives. In other words, it's an

  480. expression of intimacy on job sparked, not just intensity, but

  481. intimacy, he's my redeemer. How do you know that?

  482. How do you know that God was his personal?

  483. Redeemer. He is mine.

  484. All of his friends had abandoned him.

  485. All at turned. Against him.

  486. Paul would say I know whom I have believed and am persuaded.

  487. A statement just like Joe would make.

  488. I know that my redeemer lives. I have no question about that.

  489. This is the only thing that gets him through his difficult times.

  490. He has a redeemer. It's his own personal Redeemer.

  491. There's ownership there. And my redeemer.

  492. Lives. So important, but not this.

  493. These verses no Express. His intensity.

  494. His intimacy. But his identity.

  495. The identity of the Redeemer. And the Very fact.

  496. That he is, who he is because of his Redeemer.

  497. In other words, the word Redeemer go L Kinsman.

  498. I know that my redeemer my Kinsmen my Champion.

  499. My Advocate lives. So, he knows he has an advocate.

  500. And so he talks about a Kinsman a redeemer.

  501. Now, listen carefully job knows. The plans and purposes of God.

  502. More so than most people know. Job knows about the Redemptive

  503. purposes of God way before the book of Exodus during the time

  504. of Moses. When God tells Moses, I'm coming

  505. down and Moses says, who shall I say sent me?

  506. You tell him. I am that.

  507. I am sent you. Which was next is 3, his

  508. memorial name, right? I'm going to be remembered from

  509. generation to generation based on my name, my Memorial name

  510. because I am a rescuer, I am a deliverer, I am a savior, I am a

  511. redeemer. So job knew more about God or

  512. knew more about God in an earlier time than Moses ever

  513. knew about God. because you see, Job understood the purposes of

  514. God. The redeeming purposes of God

  515. that he would be a Kinsman. He would be a next of kin who

  516. would, who would fight his battles for him and be his

  517. ultimate Champion. His ultimate deliver his

  518. ultimate rescuer way before God ever gave his memorial name.

  519. Those three Hebrew confidence that make up the tetragrammaton

  520. that talk to us about God being llave.

  521. That's that's his name, that's his memorial name.

  522. But way before that, Joe begins to understand the identity of

  523. his God, he is the Redeemer. He's a deliverer.

  524. He's a savior. She says, I know that my

  525. redeemer. Lives.

  526. I know that my redeemer lives, this statement, expresses not

  527. just his intensity, his intimacy, his identity.

  528. But it expresses the immortality of his Redeemer.

  529. He didn't say I know that my redeemer will live.

  530. I know that my redeemer has lived.

  531. He said, no, I know that my redeemer lives.

  532. He is a living Redeemer. He's not a dead Redeemer.

  533. remember in Revelation chapter 11, when the Lord God comes

    Revelation 11 chapter mention

  534. before, John on the Isle of Patmos and says, I In the first

  535. and the last, the Alpha, and the Omega, the living one.

  536. Behold. I was dead but I Am Alive

  537. forevermore. speaking of the immortality of the son of God,

  538. Peter would say Matthew, 16 verse number 16, Thou Art the

  539. Christ, the son of the Living God in Psalm 42, verse number 2.

  540. It says my soul thirsts for the Living.

  541. God Psalm 84 verse number to my heart and my flesh Sing For Joy

  542. to the Living God, in John 14:19 Christ had because I live, you

    John 14:19

  543. too, shall live. Other words, job knew that his

  544. Redeemer Lives Job, believe that a resurrection.

  545. How could Joe believe in a resurrection?

  546. When he never seen a resurrection?

  547. He was 11. Abraham.

  548. Abraham believed God took his cell up on Mount Moriah and he

  549. was 11 tells us that he believed that God would raise him from

  550. the dead. Abraham believed that a

  551. resurrection if I have to kill the promised son, my only

  552. begotten son and this is the promise of the seed.

  553. That's going to come. Then God must have a plan to

  554. raise him from the dead and the resurrection of the Messiah was

  555. always the plan. So, how does job know that his

  556. Redeemer Lives unless he believes in a resurrection of

  557. his Redeemer? Speaking of the immortality of

  558. his Redeemer. Now listen. we're just getting

  559. started because now, I'm going to absolutely blow your mind.

  560. Listen to this. He says this.

  561. As for me, I know that my redeemer lives.

  562. And at the last, he will take a stand on.

  563. The Earth. This expresses, the

  564. invincibility. Of his Redeemer.

  565. I know. That not only does my redeemer

  566. live. But at the last at the end, he

  567. will stand on the earth. That's not the Incarnation.

  568. That is the second coming of the Messiah.

  569. And you can say, well how do you know that that's very easy to

  570. understand when you think about it?

  571. The invincibility of the Messiah.

  572. Then the last days he will stand, let me show you what it

  573. says in the book of Zechariah. Zechariah 14, verse number four

  574. in that day. His feet the museum, see the

  575. Messiah will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of

  576. Jerusalem on the east. and the Mount of Olives which will be

  577. split in its middle from east to west by a very large Valley

  578. said, half of the mountain will move toward the North and the

  579. other half toward The South. Other words, when the Lord God

  580. returns at the end, he will eventually stand on the Mount of

  581. Olives and split the mount. There he will stand.

  582. Why? Every conqueror of Jerusalem,

  583. stood, on the Mount of Olives, raise their soar, to the heavens

  584. as the ultimate conqueror of the city.

  585. Sigh. I'll do the same because he's

  586. the ultimate Victor. He's Invincible.

  587. The Bible. Also says these words in the

  588. Book of Micah In the Book of Micah.

  589. The first chapter. It says in verses 2 to 4 these

  590. words hero people, all of you listen to Earth and all it

  591. contains and let the Lord God be witness against you.

  592. The Lord, from his holy Temple, for behold the Lord is coming

  593. forth from his place. He will come down and tread on

  594. the high places of the Earth, the mountains will melt under

  595. him in The Valleys will be split like Wax before the fire.

  596. Like water. Pour down a steep place.

  597. In other words God will stand upon the Earth Josie's I know

  598. that my redeemer liveth Lives. And at the last, he will take

  599. his stand on the earth. Listen to Book of Ezekiel

  600. Ezekiel chapter 43 Verse number. Five.

    Ezekiel 43 chapter mention

  601. In the spirit, lifted me up and brought me into the inner court

  602. and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house.

  603. Then I heard one speaking to me from the house while the man was

  604. standing beside me. He said to me, son of man, this

  605. is the place of my throne and the place of the soles of my

  606. feet where I would dwell among the sons of Israel forever.

  607. In other words, The Souls of my feet will stand on this place on

  608. Mount Zion in the temple and I will rule over my people forever

  609. job knows that how does Joe know that?

  610. Did God some out? Reveal it to him in a dream?

  611. Nope, that's it about that. The guy can then speak to jump

  612. about this? No, this ain't her.

  613. How does job know that? Before the Flood, there was one

  614. profit. Just one.

  615. And that Prophet prophesied. Not about the first coming.

  616. But the second coming of the Messiah.

  617. He's recorded in Genesis chapter 5.

    Genesis 5 chapter mention

  618. The book of Jude tells us what He prophesied.

  619. It was also about these men that is apostates that Enoch in the

  620. Seventh Generation from Adam prophesied.

  621. So there's one Prophet Before the Flood.

  622. His name is Enoch. And the prophecy that he gave

  623. was not about the first coming, it was about the second coming.

  624. Let's see what he says. Behold the Lord came with many

  625. thousands of his holy ones to execute judgment upon all and to

  626. convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly Deeds which they

  627. have done in an ungodly way and of all the harsh things which

  628. ungodly Sinners have spoken against him.

  629. So why the Book of Genesis is not record the prophecy of

  630. judgment Jude to the inspiration of the spirit of God records for

  631. us to prophesy of Enochs judgment.

  632. And Enoch prophesied in such a way that Methuselah in the year

  633. that he dies, it shall happen. There will be judgment upon the

  634. Earth and there was judgment. There was a flood that came and

  635. there was judgment but it was a precursor to the ultimate

  636. judgment. That would come when Messiah

  637. comes back with all of his holy ones.

  638. That's recorded in Revelation 19.

  639. That's according to Matthew chapter 25, when our Lord

    Matthew 25 chapter mention

  640. returns again, the second time with all of his Saints, with all

  641. of his angels, with all of us, holy ones.

  642. To establish his kingdom on the earth.

  643. Listen job. Was the pre melilla analysts?

  644. Okay, he was premillennial before the term was ever

  645. existed. He believed the second coming of

  646. Messiah and he would Rule, and Reign on the earth.

  647. In the last days, his feet will be on this Earth.

  648. He will rule the invincibility of his Redeemer, his Redeemer

  649. Lives, he doesn't die. He lives.

  650. Not that he died. Yes, the Lord said.

  651. I am the living one behold. I was dead.

  652. But I'm Alive forevermore. Well, God can't die.

  653. God, the spirit. So God becomes, man.

  654. So man can die. He's God right?

  655. The perfect sinless. Sacrifice.

  656. And raises himself from the dead.

  657. In Joe begins to understand Resurrection.

  658. He begins understand the Incarnation.

  659. He begins to understand Redemption.

  660. He begins to understand the revelation of Messiah at the

  661. end. All this And this is what keeps

  662. him going from time to time. He has learned.

  663. All this has been passed down. Listen, very carefully so

  664. important why? Because Enoch would prophesy and

  665. the flood would come, who was the preacher of righteousness

  666. Before the Flood. No, all right.

  667. Peter tells us in second Peter, chapter 2, that that Noah was a

    2 Peter 2 chapter mention

  668. preacher of righteousness. He preached for 120 years but

  669. everybody dies except no one is family.

  670. He has three sons Shem, ham and japheth and the Blessed sun is

  671. Shem. The blessing will come through

  672. the line of Shem. Shems name means the name.

  673. The blessing comes to the line of the name.

  674. Abraham is a descendant of Shem. Why?

  675. Because in Genesis chapter 12, just 11 tells us that Abraham is

    Genesis 12 chapter mention

  676. this tentative of Shem but it's just as if the 12 The blessing

  677. is given Abraham that in you in your seed?

  678. All the nations of the world will be blessed, why?

  679. Because the blessing comes to the line of the name.

  680. The line of Shem, not japheth not ham, but Shen that's how God

  681. designed it. Abraham's a descendant of Shem.

  682. Abraham's given the promise from God about how he will make his

  683. name. Great not just Abraham's name

  684. but the name of the Messiah that comes to the line of the name

  685. for know, that the name of Jesus every knee will bow.

  686. Every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the

  687. glory of God the father, right? We know Philippians 2 tells us

  688. that every knee will bow and confess.

  689. Christ is Lord glaciers three, six and nine talks about the

  690. blessing that God gave to Abraham.

  691. Why? Because Abraham is in the line

  692. of the blessing of the name. So, Job. who was a contemporary

  693. of Abraham, but at the learn all this Through Abraham his son,

  694. Isaac, his son, Jacob. It will be passed down to him.

  695. So he could actually say I know that my redeemer lives and I

  696. know that one day, one day in the latter days at the very end,

  697. he will stand upon the Earth. He knows that Nina Adam and Eve

  698. able Noah Shem in the list, goes on and on and all this being

  699. passed down verbally By Word of Mouth.

  700. Does he know everything? No.

  701. Does he even know what he's saying to all the degree in

  702. which it's meant to be? Probably not.

  703. But he does know you as the Redeemer, he is a Kinsman.

  704. It's called a go l. And Advocate a champion.

  705. He knows that the Redeemer Lives and that one day, he will stand

  706. upon the Earth. He will rule and reign.

  707. They says this. He says.

  708. Even after my skin is destroyed yet from my flesh, I shall see.

  709. God. That expresses his in dispute

  710. ability. It's indisputable.

  711. I know that when I'm dead. Guess who I'm going to see?

  712. I'm going to see my redeemer. I'm going to see my God.

  713. I'm going to see him face to face.

  714. Over in, in psalm. Sawmill 11.

  715. No, I'm sorry. Yes I'm 11.

  716. Verse number 7. It says these words for the Lord

  717. is righteous. He loves righteousness.

  718. The upright will behold His face and that was written long after

  719. job, job chapter 17 verse number 15.

    Job 17 chapter mention

  720. And as for me, I should behold your face and righteousness.

  721. I will be satisfied with your likeness.

  722. When I awake, there is something than jobs mind, that was

  723. absolutely indisputable. When my flesh is gone when I

  724. have died. I know one thing absent from the

  725. body. I'm going to see his face.

  726. Ace present with the Lord. Abraham had I mean Joe had this

  727. tremendous faith in this God that was indisputable because he

  728. knew his God was invincible. He understood the identity of

  729. his Redeemer which made him to be so intense with his passion

  730. and conviction that he could speak with Assurance.

  731. I know that my redeemer lives In the latter days, he will stand

  732. upon the earth when I'm dead. I'm going to see his face.

  733. This is his hope. There's nobody else.

  734. There's nothing else to Hope in. There's no one else to trust in

  735. everybody else is gone. You already read earlier in job,

  736. jet 19, his friends are gone, his family's gone, his wife

  737. loves his breath. So she will be speaking to him.

  738. So he has no friends. He has no family, is nothing is

  739. no servants, no one obeys him, no one listens to him, even the

  740. kids despise them. He's got no one but he has a

  741. redeemer lives. My Redeemer in the midst of your

  742. loneliness. In the midst of your pain.

  743. You have a redeemer. You have an advocate, you have a

  744. champion. You have a warrior, he's got

  745. himself. Who lives and Reigns.

  746. He's not a dead. God, he's a, he's a living God.

  747. Who knows everything about you. And job says this.

  748. Verse 27. Who am I?

  749. Myself Shall Behold who my eyes will see?

  750. And not another My heart faints. Within Me.

  751. A statement that expresses not just his intensity, not just his

  752. intimacy, not just as identity, not just as immortality.

  753. His invincibility is in dispute ability, but his individuality

  754. When I die, I myself. Am going to see him. job knows

  755. more about heaven than, you know, We'll see when we die.

  756. We think we're going to see our friends.

  757. Joe Gibson. I can see my family.

  758. Don't see my kids again, so that's not on his mind.

  759. Why? He's an upright God-fearing

  760. righteous, man. That's why all he cares about

  761. seen him. God.

  762. Thought matters. See, he knows what heaven is

  763. going to be like, I'm going to see his face.

  764. I'm going to see my redeemer. I'm going to see my God, he

  765. lives and because he lives and will stand upon the Earth.

  766. I'm going to see him when I'm dead.

  767. Jim knows that. In this is Job's motive for

  768. living through all this pain and isolation when no one else cares

  769. about his life, his Redeemer. He's intense about that.

  770. He's intimate with that Redeemer.

  771. He's mine. I know who he is.

  772. I don't question that. He's absolutely invincible.

  773. Because he lives and reigns forever.

  774. And one thing that's indisputable is that one day,

  775. I'm going to see his face. When I see his face, there's

  776. only one thing I'm concerned about.

  777. And that's only seeing his face and no one else's.

  778. This, which gets them through his tough time.

  779. This is his second great confession.

  780. Which, as I said earlier. Unveils the ministry of God as a

  781. redeemer. And unleashes the message that

  782. God wants to be known by. These Redeemer, who lives.

  783. And lives. In such a way.

  784. That he will never be defeated. The resurrection is that witch?

  785. Predicates are salvation. If I confess with your mouth,

  786. Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart, that God raised him from

  787. the dead. You'll be saved.

  788. Joe believe in the resurrection of Jesus was Redeemer.

  789. Somehow his Redeemer would come somehow, his Redeemer.

  790. Would live somehow his Redeemer would die, somehow redeem?

  791. We'll come again. Does he understand all this

  792. stuff? Know, they have a book on

  793. eschatology know. But he's pre mail.

  794. First, Premier guy in the Bible book a joke.

  795. That's why I'm free Mill job is by the way.

  796. So is Jesus. So we're in good company Joven.

  797. Jesus. On top of that, in the truck,

  798. the great chapter in the resurrection of First

    1 Corinthians 15:58

  799. Corinthians 15:58 it. Close with these words. that be

  800. steadfast immovable, always abounding in the work of the

  801. Lord knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord, What is

  802. it that keeps you in service? The resurrection.

  803. The fact, I know that when I die, I'm going to see him face

  804. to face. That this life is not all there

  805. is this life's that drop in the bucket compared to Eternity.

  806. Job know that. Jobe gnosis.

  807. So even though he goes through all this pain, all the suffering

  808. and yes, he talks about God's Afflicted, me and my friends

  809. have abandoned me and this is the way things are.

  810. And I'm consumed with my suffering because it's

  811. absolutely envelops me so much so that I'm completely sitting
