For God is our present help in times of trouble.
-
Hope you're having a good day today.
-
We're going to open the Word of God together and we're going to listen to what the Holy Spirit wants to reveal to us today through the scripture.
-
So grab your Bible.
-
Let's jump into the Word of God together this day and rest confidently upon the truth of his word, which will never fail.
-
I'm your host, Eric McBride.
-
I'm glad you're here today with me.
-
We're going to be in Hebrews chapter 10.
Hebrews 10 chapter mention
-
Verse 32.
-
He says, think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ.
-
Remember how you remained faithful, even though it meant terrible suffering.
-
Sometimes you were exposed to public ridicule and were beaten, and sometimes you helped others who were suffering the same things.
-
You suffered along with those who were thrown into jail.
-
And when all you own was taken from you, you accepted it with joy.
-
You knew there were better things waiting for you that will last forever.
-
Verse 35, so do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord.
-
Remember the great reward it brings you.
-
Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God's will, then will receive all that He has promised.
-
For in just a little while the coming one will come and not delay.
-
Hebrews encourages believers to persevere in their Christian faith and conduct when facing persecution and pressure.
-
We don't usually think of suffering as good for us, but it can build our character and our patience.
-
During times of great stress, we may feel God's presence more clearly and find help from Christians we thought would never care.
-
Knowing that Jesus is with us, our suffering, he will return one day to put an end to all the pain, help us grow in our faith, our relationship with Him.
-
Knowing that Jesus is with us in our suffering, that He will return one day to put an end to all pain, helps us grow in our faith.
-
I'm so glad that He promised He would never leave us, He would never fail us.
-
There will be times of suffering.
-
There will be times that we don't understand the things that are happening, the things that are occurring in our life.
-
There are times when we feel alone, isolated, and oppressed and depressed.
-
I want to encourage you today.
-
There will come a day when all the suffering will end.
-
There will come a day when our faith in Jesus Christ will be rewarded.
-
And because we continued with him, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we will one day hear those words, Well done, good and faithful servant.
-
Enter into the joy of your Lord.
-
I don't know what you may be facing today.
-
I don't know what trials and tribulations you've been through, but one thing I do know is that God is faithful.
-
He will not fail you, he will not leave you.
-
He will come and he will strengthen you and he will help you to overcome.
-
There is coming a day when all the troubles in life will be over, and we will rule and reign with Jesus forever.
-
Let me pray with you.
-
Father, I thank you, Lord, for these believers.
-
I thank you for these that have come to know you, God.
-
And although they may be facing trouble and tribulations, God, I pray today that your strength would abound in them, that they would know your grace and your power as they overcome every obstacle and they run on in strength with Jesus.
-
God bless you, God keep you, and God cause his face to shine on you.
-
Until we meet again, stay focused on Jesus.
-
Keep running and leave a legacy of freedom for others to follow in your footsteps.
