Matthew 19:16-30 | No longer Rich, Young, or a Ruler.

Before so I'm like, let's see how where this goes as a dad.

I'm entertained by these things. All right, so.

So Livi. Begins to just say things like

it's napkin and Elena's like no it's please no.

And they do the it's. Tortilla No.

Like they do this for. About a few minutes which.

Seem like 30 but I'm just like man just.

Give her a napkin already. Because it's making a mess.

Right, so then. Each needs a napkin and.

Then Rachel's like, I'm going to grab a napkin.

And and Elena does the same thing.

What's the password? So rage repeats the same.

Password that Libby gave her. And Elena goes, that's not it.

So I'm like, just give her the napkin and I like, like, like I

see where. This is going.

And it's funny. Because whenever we think about

heaven, whenever we think eternal life, whenever we think

about. Who goes to?

Heaven. And who doesn't?

When we look at this whole theology.

Many people see God that. Way where it's like how do I?

Know that I could. Get to heaven and we feel like

God is. Holding it, saying well.

It's the. Password and that there's.

Supposedly there's all these. Different types of answers.

That God is. Going to accept in order.

For us to let us. Into eternity to be with him.

And I'm here to tell. You that God is so loving.

And kind and merciful. That he tells us exactly how to

get to. Heaven in his word.

There's no secret sauce, there's no password, there's nothing.

The only. Way that you get to.

Heaven, the only way to eternity with.

Him is through. Putting your faith in Jesus.

Christ. That's it.

And I know some people kind of feel a certain way about that.

Because it's like I. Think it's not up to?

Us, you know, like it, you know, if he's a good.

Person and they said no. It's super clear.

It's that simple. And what we're going to look at

today is that there is a a guy who goes to Jesus and he has

this. Question.

He has everything. He's a very wealthy man, lots of

money, pretty much has everything he could want.

In Matthew 19. We're going to look at the story

of the rich young ruler when you look.

At all the Gospels. And you read all three of them

where we. Could from this guy was that he

was rich. Which meant he was extremely

wealthy. He probably owned a lot of land,

cattle. We don't know if he inherited

his wealth or money. We don't know.

If it was a cash. Flow thing, we don't know if he

had many businesses. What we do know is that.

He was very rich. We know that he was young.

Which is a little bit. Different in those times like.

For you to be that. Young and have that much wealth

is not normal in that culture. And that he was a ruler.

What did he rule? Was it a Kingdom?

No, he. Was probably a ruler.

Of A at a synagogue. So he probably was.

High in leadership in one of the synagogues.

And this man who had everything, he had all the wealth in the

world, all the money in the. World he goes to Jesus, and he

asks Jesus a. Question that many of us are

pondering and many of us want to know.

And the question is, what must I do?

What thing must? I do.

To inherit to have eternal. Life and.

That's where we're going today, but let me pray for us.

So, Father, thank you for your word.

Jesus, I pray. God that we see your word

clearly this morning. So God for the few.

Moments that we're together. Help us to focus on you, Lord.

Be with those who are not feeling.

Well, and. God just take care of.

Us, in Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Amen. And just FYI, if you're sick

So anyways, going back. So let's go to verse. 16 and

we're going. To walk through the.

Story 'cause there's some truth. Here.

'Cause here's the issue with. This man, he has everything.

He has money. He has power.

He has. Everything.

But there's one thing that's nagging, and there's one thing

that's bothering him that he doesn't know if he has the

answer to. And it starts in verse 16.

It says just. Then a man came to.

Jesus and asked. Teacher what?

Good. Thing must I do?

To get eternal life. This is the question all of us

are pondering. This is the question that all of

us must answer. Regardless of your belief.

System, regardless of what religion.

You have. Is what what happens after this

life on earth is? Over.

What must I do now in verse 16? I want you to.

Look at how he addresses Jesus. So if you're like highlighting

he, he says teacher so. He.

He's not he. Doesn't go to.

Jesus and bow down, says my Lord.

He doesn't know that. He's Yahweh, he says.

Teacher. What must I do so he?

Knows that Jesus is good. Like he knows that he's teaching

the right things. So this.

Teacher must have the right answer that I need to know how

to get. Eternal life and look how.

Jesus answers him. Jesus answers him with a really

important question in verse 17. Why do you?

Ask me. What about what is good so Jesus

could have easily? Just told him I am the way, the

truth and the life. No one comes to the Father

except through me. That's John 14-6.

But Jesus doesn't do that. Because.

What he's trying to get this man to understand, he's trying to

expose his heart, and Jesus looks and goes, man.

Why do you ask me what is good? Jesus replied.

There is only one who? Is good if you.

Want to enter life? Keep the commandments.

So. What Jesus is trying to.

Do is get this man to understand that even though he's rich in

life, he is spiritually bankrupt?

It's a heart issue that he has. So what does Jesus start with?

Jesus starts with the law. And what we know is that the

law. Of God shows us that we.

Can't. So.

God has this amazing high standard.

He's a holy and righteous God. And when we sin against the holy

and righteous God. It.

Causes a chasm, so there's got to be something that is is

enabling us. To go to God, but because of

our. Sin.

We can't. Go to God and what?

Jesus does immediately. He brings in the law.

So he's like. Well, you got to do.

The 10 commandments. Now another thing that's

interesting is the question that.

Jesus asks why? Why do you?

What about me is good? Because.

Here's the here's the question. Because of the old.

Testament We know that only God is good.

So what Jesus is? Inquiring to this young man.

Here, he says if you're. Calling me good, then that means

that you're calling me God. And if you're.

Calling me God, then that means that you will obey what I'm

about. To tell you.

It's a question that Jesus. Poses at him so you.

You want to inherit the. Eternal life Go.

Ahead do the 10 commandments now what caused this response?

So the response is caused because in back in in verse 16

he says teacher. What?

Good thing, must I? Do and what Jesus?

Is telling you is like there's nothing that.

You. Can do to inherit eternal?

Life. I love it.

It's it's everything that he does, you see, and what we.

See is with our Christian faith, everything is backwards we.

Walk through life people walk through life thinking.

What must I do, what work must I do in order to have a

relationship with God? When?

The reality is that God did all the.

Work in order. To have a relationship with us,

it's backwards. And Jesus is pointing this out

to him. He's trying to pull him into

this and. Jesus is also.

Letting him know. That there is a.

Standard. That must be me, that must be

met to a holy and righteous. God, you know I was.

Thinking the last couple of weekends we.

Were able to go to. Some car shows and you know, 9

he had one. Yesterday and he had like.

There's a. Car Club caught on thief loss

and they're like all. These old school.

Really cool looking cars man. What if somebody went to him and

said I want to be? Part of your club, but they.

Pull up in the Kia. They're going to say no.

Like there's a standard here that you got to meet.

Yeah, but my Kita. Like I dropped.

It I got a little. Muffler on it, it's a four

banger, but it goes pretty quick.

I put some coil. Over his man, it looks sharp.

They're going to look at him, be like, that's not going to work.

Yeah, but I want to be a part man.

I want to be part of this thing. Like I want to be part of this

community. I want to be.

Part of what y'all are. Doing and.

They're going to keep saying if you don't get out, I'm we're

going to beat you up. Because your key is beat.

Up now I'm just like, it's like. It's just it's not going.

To work. The issue is that there is a

standard, there is a rule. That must be met in order to be

a. Part of that and.

It's the same thing with a holy and righteous God.

Listen, there is a standard. That needs to be met, and that

standard is perfection. It is.

Sinlessness. It is.

Holy and righteous and we will approach the throne of God and

say I want to be a part of this thing and God's like, I can't

because there's a standard so. In order for you to meet the

standard, you must do all these things.

And what? Jesus is trying to show.

This guy is. That no matter what he does, no

matter how much money he has, no matter who he is, he's not going

to be able to meet the standard. So how does he prove?

It to him. Cool.

You want eternal life? All right.

Awesome, do the 10 commandments no problem.

Now look what he. Answers them in verse. 18 So

he's like OK, cool, which. Ones.

Which ones do I got to do? Jesus replied.

You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery.

You shall not steal. You shall not give false

testimony. Honor your father and mother.

And love your neighbor as. Yourself.

So Jesus wraps all that up with. Leviticus chapter 19, verse 18

Leviticus 19:18

which is a. Great way to.

Summarize those 10 commandments. To love.

Your neighbor as yourself. So what Jesus does is that Jesus

quotes 6 out of. The 10 commandments.

Now what? A lot of.

Us don't know. Is that when God gave Moses the

10 commandments, he put them on the tablet and he didn't put the

commandments 5 and five. Actually, when you look into.

It it's actually four and. 6. And what Jesus does is that

Jesus quotes. The second tablet, which is.

All six of these that are horizontal, so the first four

are vertical there are our. Relationship with God.

You should have no other gods. Before me, you should.

Not use my name in vain, right? And then the second.

Tablet, those six are vertical. Those are our.

Relationship with mankind. And what Jesus does is that he

quotes the. Relationship with man.

You got that. The problem is your relationship

vertically with God. You have we, we like to use

these big words. You have the, you have good

orthodoxy, but you have. I mean, you have good

orthopraxy, but you have no orthodoxy, so it's missing.

And Jesus about to touch a nerve with this guy.

So he quotes the second. Half, but he's like, no, you're.

Missing the first half. You're not having so.

He he shares these. Commandments with him and I.

Love what this young. Man says in verse 20.

He's like, cool, I got this. He didn't even pay attention and

he didn't even notice. What Jesus just did because he

said just keep the. Commandments and he said which

one he gave them six and not all 10 and he's like 6 out of 10, I

think I. Could do that.

Look, he. Says in verse 20.

All these I have kept. The young man said What do I

still lack? All right, now here comes the

nerve. That Jesus about to touch.

Look at verse 20. I mean verse 20.

One Jesus answered if. You want to be perfect.

Go sell your. Possessions and give to the

poor, and you will have treasure in heaven.

Then come and follow me. You know what I love about this

passage. When you see this story in the

gospels, the stories in about 3 of the. 4.

Gospels in Mark 10 verse 21 it says that Jesus looked at him

Mark 10:21

and loved him. Isn't funny that sometimes many?

Of us have this picture of God, where God looks at us.

When we fail. Like he hates us.

Which is not. True that God loves us when we

do. Well, he doesn't shame us when

we do wrong and God looked at him, he's like Jesus.

I could do. I did all these commandments and

the. Bible says that Jesus looked.

At him and loved him and I think that.

That is a great picture of our God.

So Jesus strikes the nerve. All right, cool.

I know you did these commandments, but you're missing

the other side so. All your stuff.

And come and follow me. Jesus is not teaching here

salvation by philanthropy, right?

Like it hasn't really nothing to do with his money.

He's what he's demanding is that this man must.

Give place. Number one in his life.

To Jesus and what we. See is that this guy fails the

test. In his answer.

So real quickly what? What?

What I want us to. Look at here just to pause a

little. Bit what this man does is that

he gives. God, a few.

Claims, so I don't put them up on the screen.

There's two claims that he gives number one.

The first claim is that we're good, right?

And then number. 2 is that you have to do.

Good things in order to get to heaven.

So it's not just that. We're good, but we also have to

do good to get to. Heaven, those are the claims.

That this. Young man is giving Christ.

As they are. Exchanging in this conversation.

He's like, man, I'm good, I've done these commandments.

Also just a. Little note, a little cultural

consideration if you were rich in these times.

If. You had a lot of.

Wealth or land or? Cattle, whatever it was, people

considered you blessed by God. So this guy's already walking in

his privilege. Not just that, he's a ruler at a

synagogue, so he knows the. Word.

So he's walking. Around he's like, man, I'm good,

but I'm also doing good and if I do good then I'll be.

Able to get to. Heaven, now we're going to, what

we're going to do is we're going to take God's truth and we're

going to combine them with these claims.

So go to the truth. Part Now the truth is is that no

one is. Good except God.

That's kind of a hard. Pill for us to.

Swallow. No one is.

Good. We see this all through

scripture. Romans 718 Good doesn't dwell.

This is the puzzle, but. Good does not dwell in me

because of my sinful nature. Romans 3323 For all have sinned

and fallen. Short of the.

Glory of God Romans 310 No one is righteous.

No, not one. So if I believe.

The narrative that I am always good and that there's no wrong

in me, then I am lying to myself because only.

God is good, so you we've got to First of all, let's accept the

fact that. No one is good except God.

I may be doing good things. I may.

Be behave. Every once in a while.

But the truth is. That I'm a terrible person.

I. Sin.

I do. Bad things.

I don't act the way I shit sometimes because of my sinful

nature. So the faster that I.

Can believe the faster that I know that there's something

wrong inside of me inside of this?

Heart and acknowledge that there's the only one that's good

is God and it's His goodness why I am alive today, the better.

It's going to be for. US.

And then the second truth. Bomb.

That I like to call. It.

Is that doing good things will not get you into heaven.

Doing good things will not get you into heaven.

This is a difficult, difficult truth for us.

Because what we see in Scripture is that it's not about how.

Hard I work or how? Hard.

I plan myself like I should do all these things, like my access

to heaven is not my hard work and my abilities.

And the truth is, you can't work hard enough.

It's impossible. You can't.

It is God. Who gives you?

Access to him and that access comes through Jesus Christ.

And listen, that is a loving statement.

It's not anything like, man, that's messed up.

Rick, how are you to say no? It's what the Bible tells us.

It's right here. Because look.

Look what? Happens to this.

Young man, check this out. In verse 22.

When the young man heard this, he went away.

Sad because he had. Great wealth.

Listen, the problem here with this young man was not that.

He was rich. The problem was that money was

his God and success. Was his idol and what Jesus is.

Saying is that anybody that wants to follow me, anybody that

wants to come to the father must.

Put me up there first. And nothing else.

My commitment, the covenant is with Christ.

He's the one. But you see this man, he.

He just loved his possessions. So much so with this answer.

What it says, man. He walked away.

Sad. He walked away like.

Dang it, I can't. I got too much going for me

right now. And that showed his heart.

So look how. Jesus answers because his

disciples are watching this whole thing take.

Place. In verse 23, then Jesus said to

his. Disciples, truly, I tell you, it

is hard. For someone who is rich to enter

the Kingdom of heaven again, I. Tell you it is.

Easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for

someone who is rich to enter the Kingdom of God when the

disciples. Heard this they were greatly.

Astonished. And they asked, Well then who

can be saved? Like then how do we do this?

This is impossible. But you see, Jesus says it in

the next. Verse he looked at.

Him and says yeah with. Man, this is impossible.

But with God all. Things are possible.

What? Jesus is pointing to is that

it's not what you do, it's not anything you do.

It's not the good. Things you do, it's not your

intention, it's. It's not how much.

Money you give, how much money you make.

It's how many? People you help.

All of those things are great, don't get me wrong.

We do a lot of good. Things here, but my goodness

doesn't come out of my sinful nature.

My goodness doesn't come out of me trying to please God.

So that we had go to heaven. No, my goodness comes out of my

redeemed. Soul.

That God gave me this new life. And it is the.

Christian life is the. Holy Spirit.

In me that now I'm able to walk in it and I'm able to do.

Great things, that's where. It comes from because I'll be

honest with you if it wasn't. For Christ, I care less.

Everything would be in inverted into me.

I would only care about myself. But you see, it's with Christ.

Who's giving me a new? Heart.

He's giving me this. Heart of flesh, he's.

Taking my heart of phone he's giving me forgiveness of sin.

Now I'm able to see the world, I'm able to see people the same

way that. Christ saw people.

And that's where the goodness. Comes from and his disciples.

Are like man who who's going to be able to.

Who could, who could be? Saved and then Jesus is.

Saying, well, listen, it's it's easier for a camel to get

through the eye of a needle. What?

Let's say this is an example saying it's impossible.

It's impossible. But it is God who?

Saves not yourself. So he's saying he's like, no,

but with God everything is possible.

Then I love Peter, you know, 'cause.

Peter he always. Has something to say.

Peter said. He's that's just him.

Look what Peter says in verse 20.

Seven, Peter answered him. We have left everything to.

Follow you what then? Will be for us Jesus.

Said to him now. If I read this, I thought it

was. Interesting that Jesus does not

rebuke Peter for Peter asking for a reward actually.

Jesus answers him. You say, man, Peter, you.

Always got something to say, don't you?

No. He's like, this is great.

Let me show you. Truly, I tell you.

At the renewal of all. Things when the Son of Man.

Sits on this glorious throne, you who have followed me.

Will also sit. On 12 Thrones, judging the 12

tribes of Israel and everyone who has left.

Houses or brothers or sisters? Oregon father or mother or?

Wife. Or children or field for my sake

will receive 100 times as much and will inhale.

Eternal life, but many. Who are first will be.

Last, and many who are. Last will be. 1st man this is a.

Tough truth. Here, So what Jesus is saying

Peter has a legit concern. He's like man.

But we've left. Everything and Jesus like yes.

You have and there's going. To be a huge reward for you in

heaven. And anybody else?

Who puts me first over? Everything else in their life.

Will receive that reward as well.

Difficult truths here. But Jesus is very clear and

listen, I just want to. Tell you salvation is free.

But following Jesus is going to cost you.

Discipleship will cost you. And Jesus said listen to follow

me. There's a cost.

It ain't as easy as just showing up, no.

There's a cost to this. So what I want to do is just

kind of end today. With just four quick truths

about what we see. Here with this young man,

because many of us are probably. Thinking well, Ricky.

I got you. I'm not rich, I'm poor so this

don't even apply to me. I'm not poor.

I'm oh, I can't even afford the OR so this doesn't apply to me.

It wasn't the money. It was the.

Placement of priority and what I want you guys to think.

About is this I? Want you to think about?

What is the? Most important thing in your

life if you. Want to know what the most

important thing in your? Life is just.

Look at your bank statement. Where's all your time and money

going to think about what's the most the most important and

precious thing in your? Life just go ahead and just

think about it put. It in your mind?

For this guy, for this. Rich.

Young ruler, it was his. Money and success.

For some of us, it might be. A career.

For some of us, it's our family. For some of us, it's our future

for some of us. It's it's a business.

That we might have built I don't know.

Think about what's the most important thing in your life Now

think about giving it to. Jesus.

And saying this is nothing compared to following you.

That's what it means. That's the.

Cost. And that is what Christ is

requiring from all of us in this room.

I remember when I was seeking to follow the Lord, I remember God

called me and there were some. Things that I had in my life

that. When I surrendered my life to

Jesus and the calling he put on it.

None of this other stuff mattered, like it just didn't

mean anything to me. Even to the point like, I mean,

I don't care about I. Dropped my letters from a

fraternity thing I know somebody was dating that I had no.

I just threw that aside. Like there was nothing in my

life that mattered when I had this encounter and this

experience with. Christ.

And even when things come back up today, do you regret?

No, I don't. There's nothing I regret.

Because. Following Christ, letting go of

the thing that means the most to me, actually unlocked the

blessing that he had. For me and my.

Life changed forever and it's not about financial blessing,

it's not about getting more money or a higher position at

work. No, it's about trusting Christ

with every single. Aspect of your life.

And watching him work. Watching him.

Walk with you and be. With you and take care of you.

And your family, it's just. Amazing.

But we have to be. Able to surrender SO4.

Quick things. 4 Truths. And then we'll be out of here.

Number one, Jesus is the. Only way to heaven, period.

Guys, he says it right here. He's like.

Listen, if you want eternal life, it's through me.

We see that all through scripture is for by grace.

That you have been saved through faith and not of.

Your work so that way. Any man can boast, for I am the

way, the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father.

Except. Through me for the wages of sin

is. Death, but the gift of God is

eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Because I go on and on, God is pointing this big fat neon sign

saying. Christ, Christ.

This is the only way to eternal life, and some of us might.

Have like a little. Bit of an issue with that.

Like man, Ricky, what about my friends I don't see?

It this way. Well.

You have the truth. But give it in love.

I truly believe this is so. Loving the way that Jesus.

Posts shows this. Rich young ruler, it's so

loving. The law shows our inability to

please. God.

So we have to figure out a way. To get with him and that way is

Jesus. I love the just.

Thinking about some quote like. Like I was thinking.

About like man, think about the things that you do do.

To try to get to. God, but in response.

The things that you do do are actually do, do without Christ.

That's what Isaiah says. Like listen your your works are

filthy. Rags to me.

You trying to earn your righteousness.

Nothing but. Filthy rags without Christ.

So I want us to understand. That man God.

Loves you so much. He's like man, like I know

you're trying, but. You have to put your.

Faith in Jesus Jesus is the only way to heaven.

Without him, there's no other way #2 Jesus is the only one.

Who can satisfy your soul? He's the only one that you can

satisfy your soul. This rich young ruler, he

probably thought he. Had it in the bag.

He had money, power. Respect is the key to life.

Anyway, he had all these. Things, but there was still

something missing inside of him. There was something that he was

searching for. And many of.

Us without Christ. There's something that we're

searching for. That's why we're trying to

figure out where we belong. We're trying to find out.

Who we go with we're. Trying to find out what we need

to do in life and that hole, that emptiness that all of us.

Struggle. With can only be satisfied with

a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

He's the one that satisfies. He's the one that.

Gives us purpose. He's the He's the water for our

soul. He's the water.

That you will never thirst again, He is the bread.

That you will never be hungry again, He.

Is what satisfies our souls. This young, rich young ruler.

Was looking for that that's. Why it says?

When Jesus said. Hey, go sell your stuff.

Go sell the stuff that that. You idolize and go.

Get rid of that stuff. And then come to me and what

happens? He went away.

Did he go away happy? No.

The Bible. Says that he went away with a.

Sadness. Because he knew he's like.

I can't give. This up but he.

Also knew that there was nothing else in life.

That he was going to be. Able to find satisfaction

because. I have it all already.

It doesn't work. So.

Jesus is the only one that can satisfy your soul, which sees us

to number. 3 Earthly treasures are worthless.

Compared to Christ. Man when Peter.

Goes to Jesus and says what about us?

Like like I left. Everything to follow you and.

Jesus is like, listen. You're going to be.

Sitting with me in heaven in all eternity, and those of you who

have taken our most precious thing and have.

Laid it at the feet of Christ, you're going to be rewarded.

A hundredfold. It's not easy.

But it's the. Truth and that's where eternal

life comes into. So this is the last one and I'm

asked to worship Team Y'all. Just stay seated for a second.

I want everybody to look up and listen to me because this, this

one kept me up. You know, I was telling Juan I

was like, man, this morning I woke up about 5:00 AM.

Like I just. Felt like the spirit just just.

Jostling with me. These are the things I love and

hate about preaching. And it's like man, Lord.

Like this this. Thing right here that you're.

Asking is so everybody listen to me and pay attention.

Jesus requires everything. Think about Jesus requires

everything. Not just 50, like 6040, not

7030, not I'm I'm going to give you this, I'm going to hold on

to this. No, no, no, no, no.

Listen to me. He requires everything.

That means like everything, that I.

Love. The most so if I'm thinking like

man, my my job. My family, my wife, my.

Babies. Everything that I have in life.

It's his, he could have it like. Knowing Christ is worth more

than everything that I love in this world.

He could have it. He could do whatever.

He wants with it. It doesn't mean anything if if I

don't have Christ, it means nothing to me.

If this church were to disappear, if this building.

Were to burn down if. I were to be like.

Kicked away from being a. Pastor, if I have Christ, I

still have every. Single thing that I need.

And that's a. Hard thing to say and my my

question to. You is that have.

I given Jesus my everything. Like what am I holding back?

Like what am I gripping? What am I holding to?

Where Jesus? Is like, man, I want you to

follow me, but if you're going to follow me, it's going to

require you. To give up every.

Single thing in your life, the things that you love.

The things that you idolize. The things that make you

comfortable. I need every single aspect of

your life. And I need you.

To give it to me, and I want you to surrender it to me.

And you have to come to him and say, Lord, I trust you.

With it. It's not about me anymore, it's

all about you and when. You get to that place.

Of brokenness and of surrender. And I'm, I'm just going to be

real, especially my men in here. Listen, surrender is not a form

of weakness. Surrendering to Christ is a form

In our city, guys, following Jesus requires every single

thing, and what worries me and what keeps me up at night is

that listen, there's a lot of people and be real.

Even inside of the. Church, there's a lot of.

People in church, there's a lot of ministers.

There's a lot of worship people, there's a lot of teachers,

there's a lot of people who preach that are.

On their way to hell right now because they have not

surrendered everything to Christ.

They play the game, they play the religious bubble, and that's

fine. But listen, the Bible is.

Very clear. If you want to follow me.

That requires. Everything.

So we need to. Ask God, we say Lord.

You can have everything, my finances, my job, my family.

I want to surrender it to you and I'm going to let you do

whatever you want with it. Some people are like, man,

Ricky, I can't like what if God changes everything?

What? What if God takes things away?

What? That's where your faith.

Comes in because what usually what ends up happening is that

the things. That he's gifted you with.

When you surrender it to him. He repurposes it.

And uses it for his glory. Now it's all about following

I sin all the time. I'm not a good person.

I mess it up. But.

Jesus will forgive. Me and I could ask for his

And I know that He will forgive me.

And because of that, I'm going to put my faith in Him and I'm

going to tell. Everybody that I.

Have faith in Christ. I'll follow him now and listen

when you. Do that and you say.

Lord, I want to follow you. Jesus, I want to.

Follow you that. Is how you get to heaven and

listen, heaven is not a. Place where good people go.

And hell is not a place where bad people go.

Heaven is a place where people who love Jesus go.

And hell is a place where people who don't want Jesus go.

We need to change how we see this in Scripture.
